A quick radial symmetry design I made a while back to test my desktop sticker cutter's fine detail capabilities, and also if it could cut cereal-box cardboard (it can't w the default blade at least)

I wish CSP could build up more complex kinds of symmetry, or like, live-preview cloned layer groups. Ever since using Toon Boom Harmony I've yearned for a drawing program with a node-based layer system. Perhaps one day I will have to (learn to code properly and) write one myself, ugh

so enchanting that in a narrative filled with elaborate revenge schemes, regulus’s great comeuppance basically consisted of, like, fatally stabbing himself & his enemy and waiting to see who bled out first. the suicide-by-locket is so charmingly straightforward! CHILDISHLY stubborn! regulus is not particularly clever, nor handsome, nor interesting, nor likable. but he is practical. and he knows how to endure unthinkable circumstances by being blunt & realistic & strong, and never expecting anything less. and once again this itself is a form of dignity.

no more fanciful french rococo regulus. MY regulus is like a brutalist concrete slab structure in the soviet union and he could effortlessly bloody your regulus's nose. and he would do it with a sullen, dispassionate look of resignation, like a child soldier who has literally never been taught that it’s possible to want for comfort.

no canon basis for any of this but isnt it fun to think about? regulus is like a cold war spy who is so used to training his immunity on cyanide capsules that he gets sweaty when he goes a day without ingesting poison. he understands vaguely that this, probably, is not how normal people live — but he’s never really thought to complain. he fronts the facts of his own life. some people are not allotted a fair share of pleasure.

now imagine THAT regulus having an encounter with james potter. could you imagine how much he would hate him, and admire him, in the same moment? how much james would (obsessively, compulsively) admire him back, for the opposite reasons? even more than he looks up to sirius? they both delusionally think that the other is the Main Character and feel jealous about it. GOD

Hello! I have been admiring your lovely weaving for a while now, it’s all truly stunning! On your most recent post about dish towels, your tags about how much nicer they are intrigued me, I was wondering what you make them out of?

I would assume cotton, but I’ve always had issues with how not nice it is when I knit dishcloths with it. Like, it gets kinda rough and hard almost, and also the color fades really, really fast. Tho I have only ever used Lily cotton, so it might just be that brand?

All my dishtowels are made from 8/2 cotton that I get from the Eugene Textile Center online. And I know exactly which cotton you are referencing here, I've used it in the past and had the same issues with texture and color you mention. I think part of the problem with that brand is the level of twist and how mass produced it is, a lot of the quality on batches of it have gone wayyyyy down these past few years.

My favorite thing about the Maurice Brassard 8/2 cotton is that not only does the color stay super well, after weaving and finishing, with every time it gets washed and dried it only gets softer and more absorbent which I love. My mother has been abusing a set I made her for about a year now and they have held up beautifully. And I'm talking just tossing these towels in general loads of laundry, machine washer and dryer. They hold up So Well.

For whatever reason Sebek was my first thought for the character opinion thingy, so let's hear it for the croc man.

DID U MEAN (one of) BEST BOI??!?!!? (thanks for throwin in an ask!!)

First Impression: So I actually knew just a smidge about him before I started playing twst (shoutout to this character essay and this anituber's reactions to the twst cast). I thought he was kinda cute, green hair is always a top tier design choice, but I don't like stanning characters based off appearance alone (I mean, sure the essay had bits abt his insecurities but I need to see the trauma/insecurities in action before falling headfirst into the rabbithole)

Impression now: LOVE HIM!!! MY MOST FAVE OF THE DIASOMNIA PEEPS!! (😭so why does he keep forcing me to hit 100 pity everytime i aim for his ssrs😭) there's so much to dissect about his character and backstory, but aaaagh... i'll eventually get to bingereading book 7... Eventually!! (I also hear his Halloween SSR vignette has some interesting food for plot 👀 but alas, gotta keep myself unspoiled)

Favorite moment: kinda related to my first (proper) impression, but i'll never forget how hard i ugly-laughed while reading this vignette👇

(💕hes so earnest and demanding...he takes himself so seriously...he's so devoted to lilia's word...it's stupid but like in a cute way, i cant i want to pinch him and shake him like a soda bottle💕)

Idea for a story: sdjlfsdfjs I still have that silsebe x vampire!reader fic... that i might completely overhaul 😭 but i still gotta keep the spirit of bi-disaster sebek, i like relationships that are still in their awkward fumbling stages💕

++I've also wanted to try writing stuff making use of his knight background like reader wanting to try swordfighting ig? or maybe trying to explore Silver and Sebek being trained by Lilia when they were younger (gotta confirm my educated guesses before i write smth)

++OH and there's also the art appreciation-flavor of reader insert fluff I can take!! mans is proficient in both the arts and physical activity sheesh 😳(now if only i weren't held hostage by a diff reptile🐍)

Unpopular opinion: Sebek isn't actually that loud? Idk... he reads to me as someone who's pretty level-headed 78% of the time, he is a trained knight and while he is highstrung, I think he can rein it in better than most of the first years, at least (in a reader insert, i'm not gonna write him very noisy, i believe mans shuts up if u make out sloppy style)

Favorite relationship: Tbh, I can enjoy most Sebek ships, he deserves to be drowned in love 😤 He's another one of those characs I love seeing in any ship art, ull never get me to choose one (1) out of em all!!

Favorite headcanon: CROC FEATURES SEBEK!!! the artists who draw him with scale markings and more reptilian-shaped eyes YALL HAVE MY LIFE🤧💕💕(but ig in a more reader-insert/shippy direction, i made this post++oomf replied to it to KO me comatose)
