I called him again today but he hung up soon because he had something to do and would call me back.

As you would guess, I did not get a call. At this point, it is so stupid that I even try. Just few weeks more of this shit and I might never want to think of my friends again.

Prior to this though, I called my "best friend" and of course, she didn't pick up.

I just don't know where I'm going with this. I feel lonely but what am I supposed to do about it? I know they don't have to have anything particularly important going on in their lives. So why is it difficult to give me a little time?

Tomorrow is a new month, a new week and I want to take it as a new opportunity. I am done with this. I have so much to work on and that is what I will do.

To fix my loneliness problems, I can always tune into NCT. I watched 7llin in the DREAM today and it was so fun. I'd rather be like that.

Synopsis: the dreamies were hungry after a fun day of 7llin’ with dream and decide to make dinner together at the house. jaemin volunteers to cook while the others prepare ingredients and run errands.

at the market, jeno gets a cute call from his boyfriend y/n. laughter and playful teasing ensues between chenle and the lovebirds. back at the house, jeno, chenle and mark suddenly realize they forgot an ingredient.

౨ৎ Note: my first ever request is finished!! I had to rewatch the show to get some inspirations, cuz I literally almost forgot what happened in it lmao. since it's my first request, i was feeling really nervous while writing this, but i still hope u enjoy it<3

it was nighttime, the dreamies were feeling hungry after doing lots of activities in the afternoon, so they decided to have a homemade dinner together at the house. jaemin volunteered to be in charge of cooking while the others helped prepare ingredients.

jaemin assessed his ingredients with a critical eye, realizing several key items were missing. he turned to the group helpers in the kitchen.

"it seems we're short on some staples to start the main dishes," jaemin announced.

jeno looked up from washing vegetables. "i can run to the supermarket to grab what we need."

chenle perked up at the thought of an outing. "ooh, let me come too!"

mark sighed fondly. "i'll come too so you two don't cause too much chaos."

"we'll make it quick," mark assured.

the trio and headed out with an air of excitement and playfulness. while jeno and y/n looked forward to some couple time, they doubted their ability to remain focused on the task. only time would tell if they returned successfully with groceries, or in a lovesick daze once more.

jeno was browsing the meat aisle with mark and chenle when his phone started ringing. he smiled when he saw it was y/n calling.

"you gonna answer that?" chenle asked with a teasing lilt.

jeno playfully rolled his eyes at chenle before answering. "hey babe, what's up?"

"hi jen! i was just wondering, can you pick up some strawberries covered in chocolate while you're at the supermarket?" y/n's sweet voice came through the phone.

jeno couldn't help but grin like an idiot. "of course, do you want anything else~"

y/n giggled, making jeno's heart melt. "you're the best! only the strawberries is good. i can't wait to see you when you get back."

as jeno and y/n continued chatting fondly, chenle started making loud fake throwing up noises behind them. jeno tried to ignore him, but y/n must have heard through the phone.

"is chenle being disgusted again?" y/n asked, giggling more.

jeno gave chenle a side eye. "when isn't he?"

chenle stuck his tongue out in response, but kept making theatrically exaggerated gagging sounds. jeno flipped him off jokingly, unable to stop smiling as he spoke to his boyfriend.

mark chuckled at their antics, shaking his head affectionately. "don't mind him, just focus on your man."

jeno felt his cheeks warm at mark's words, but he was grateful for his hyung's support. "i'll see you soon, babe. love you!"

once jeno hung up, chenle started wheezing with laughter at his own jokes. even jeno had to laugh, chenle's silliness was honestly amusing, not truly mean-spirited.

"alright guys, let's finish up so we can get back to the others," mark said, looping his arms around chenle and jeno's necks affectionately as they continued shopping.

once the three members arrived back to the house from the supermarket, carrying bags of groceries. jaemin hurried over to check what they had bought. he started unpacking the bags and going through the list.

"hmm it seems we are missing one item," jaemin said angrily with a frown. "the green onions."

jeno and chenle quickly turned to blame mark. "it was mark hyung's job to get the green onions but he must have forgotten!" chenle said.

"yeah hyung you had one job!" jeno laughed teasingly.

mark looked shocked. "what? no i didn't, you guys said you would get the veggies!"

as the three started bickering playfully, jaemin observed them with a bemused smile. finally he clasped his hands together loudly. "alright enough you three. it doesn't really matter who forgot, it’s fine anyway. let's just get the food prepped."

with a sigh, mark went to the fridge to start taking out other ingredients they needed. but when he opened it, a bundle of green onions rolled out onto the floor.

the boys froze, then bursts of laughter erupted as they realized there was a spare bunch all along. "there we go," jaemin chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. it was just like them to band together and try tricking each other.

before long, the others had finished prepping ingredients and jaemin got to work cooking everything on the stovetop. a delicious aroma began permeating the air as pots simmered. y/n set the table while jeno poured drinks for everyone.

soon dinner was ready and they all crowded around, filling their plates high. compliments rained down on jaemin for his cooking skills as they dug in happily. y/n grinned at jeno across the table, sneaking bites of strawberries between mouthfuls of rice and meat.

they chatted casually about everything from upcoming schedules to funny memories, the atmosphere light and cozy. more than once, y/n caught jeno's foot rubbing affectionately against his ankle under the table when their gazes met. each gentle touch sent sparks through his body and never failed to bring a smile to his lips.

as they finished eating, jeno and y/n volunteered to do dishes while the others lounged around relaxing. they worked efficiently side by side at the sink, hips occasionally bumping as they maneuvered in the small space.

after a few minutes, mark loudly cleared his throat. "do you two seriously need to be joined at the hip right now too?" he nodded pointedly at their intertwined fingers resting on the countertop.

y/n glanced down, not even remembering when their hands had found each other. he blushed, starting to unlink them, but jeno held on firmly.

"says the one who begged to sleep with haechan last night." chenle chuckled, not looking up from his phone.

mark opened his mouth to retort but was cut off by renjun. "you guys, play nice. as long as our lovebirds keep things pg, i don't mind some affection around here." his eyes danced playfully.

"yeah, keep it pg, don't forget that our maknae is still here." jaemin joked as he looked to jisung. he just smiled sheepishly.

y/n grinned, relieved for renjun's understanding as always. jeno rubbed his thumb softly over y/n's knuckles, shooting him a loving smile that made his heart skip. their kitchen duties were finished in contented silence, hands locked together the whole way through.

once the last dish was dried and put away, jeno led y/n by the hand to the couch, cuddling him into his side. mark shook his head disapprovingly but y/n could see the smile he was trying to hide.

he sighed happily into jeno's warm embrace, feeling his boyfriend press a kiss to the top of his head. no matter how much teasing they received, nothing could dampen the elation and security y/n felt in jeno's arms — his most cherished place in the world. he was grateful beyond words for each and every day they had together like this.

EPISODE 1. ROUGH AND TOUGH WE PLAY HARD

we first see misun walking behind chenle with sunglasses on her face, arms wrapped tightly around herself.

“next time, let’s record 7llin’ in the summer,” misun huffs as she follows her members up the sidewalk.

she doesn’t really comment on the house at first, merely bouncing in place to stay warm and starts begging, “can we please go inside? please please please-“

she flinches when renjun starts singing louder, whipping her head to look at him and yell even louder for him to “be quiet!”

misun waves to the camera once she gets inside, raking her fingers through her hair.

“this place is so much better than the dorm,” she says to herself as they look around the house, not realizing a camera was right next to her until chenle pointed to it, laughing at her face. “ah… well, this is a hint to give us a better dorm.”

“look at the water,” she gasps once she goes to the windows, “i wanna throw someone in it.”

“let’s have the leader wake up by going in the water,” renjun turns to mark and misun tries to hide her laughter, turning away from mark and the camera.

“you only treat me as the leader at times like this,” mark says. misun can’t hide her laughter anymore.

when jaemin suggests going to the beach and eating, she says, “only if you’re making it.”

“mark should join the water challenge,” misun pretends as if she’s reading a fan comment after mark sings the popular song. mark looks at her with wide eyes and she laughs, “what? i’m talking about the other version.”

“taking the lost like a true loser,” misun pats haechan on the back after he fails and turns around, gasping when she saw the staff members on the balcony, “oh, god. that scared me.”

“do aegyo and jaemin’ll make dinner,” misun demands to renjun who makes a face at her.

misun jumps when renjun yells, again, and follows behind the other members to take the picture. jaemin pushes her lightly in front of him so she’s not in the back, hidden.

she laughs when haechan threatens jisung with the water, accidentally pressing the button to turn it on and they all gasp when water comes out. she quickly turns it back off, looking around cluelessly when the other members question how it happened.

“not all of us are going to fit,” misun stares at the tub, crossing her arms before renjun’s stare gets to her and she starts getting it, “okay, okay.”

misun is half laying on mark in the tub, clearly uncomfortable with half her legs laying outside the tub. but she smiles for the picture anyway before quickly climbing out.

“you don’t even wanna wait for me to look at the picture,” renjun huffs. misun rolls her eyes, “i trust you to not let me look stupid.”

“the cold makes me slow,” misun says as the instructor helps her with the gear. “i’m going to lose!”

“sucks to be you,” chenle pokes her in the back.

when the instructor asks if they could shoot the person, she immediately turns the toy gun on chenle.

“mark, why are you like this?” she laughs when mark lunges close to jaemin’s face.

“acting for you guys, maybe,” misun laughs after they say the killing’s just acting.

the game begins with misun hiding behind a ramp, bouncing slightly in her position to get warm. she runs after chenle but ends up right in front of jisung, giggling evilly to herself as she shoots at jisung. “ah, ah, stop-“ jisung laughs as he runs away from her.

“do you think they’ll notice if i just leave?” misun laughs, watching the chaos in front of her from further away. from her spot, she bends down behind a car and shoots at renjun. “i’m on your team!” renjun screams, laughing, but she doesn’t stop until mark gets her from behind. she whirls around, gasping at the betrayal despite him being on the opposite team, “mark!”

misun joins jaemin at top, sitting on a chair beside him as they watch the rest chase each other around. “i hate games,” she huffs, nose noticeably red.

“i’ll go this way, you go this way,” jaemin gestures for her to go the opposite way. she finds mark, immediately shooting him as revenge.

“what?” misun is confused, only hearing renjun yelling and not what he actually says. “oh, oh crap-“

when the instructor says the game is over, she sighs in relief, feeling hot now that she had been running around.

“haechan cheated,” misun says when haechan is revealed to have gotten first place. “for someone who got killed so many times, you’re bold,” haechan fires back, nudging her. “liar!” she laughs, “i’m right behind you and renjun!”

misun ends up having to go to the grocery store. definitely gave haechan the stank eye, mentally telling him he would get it later.

“i’m hungry so i’m going to get the entire store,” misun tells the members staying as the chosen losers walk to the car. they merely wave her off. “well now that they did that, i’m definitely getting the entire store with their money.”

“he only chose misun because of how many times she killed him,” mark laughs in the car. misun’s sitting in the back, leaning her head on jeno’s chair.

“don’t look at me, i’m not cooking, either,” misun shakes her head when they all turn to her. “i’m on strike, remember?”

mark laughs, telling the camera, “we got takeout one night when she made dinner and she was soo mad,” he turns the camera to misun who crosses her arms at him.

“you’re such a baby,” chenle says from the front and misun makes a face at him.

“sulky chenle,” misun laughs at the change, “wait, why does he get to choose?” jeno turns to her, smiling at her pout, “what do you want then?” misun stares at him, “oh, i don’t know, i don’t really care.”

“be careful,” misun carefully says in japanese, looking proud of herself as the others ‘wow’ at her. “you sound so different, dude,” mark laughs. “she sounds different in every language,” chenle points out. “the many voices of kang misun.”

“i want snacks, though,” misun squints, “jisung-ie also wants potato chips. definitely some dessert, too.”

“let’s just order food,” jeno suggests, laughing when misun turns to him. “nevermind, nevermind. still a touchy subject.”

“i don’t know why they thought it would be a good idea for us four to go shopping,” misun tells the camera, holding it as they get out the car. “did they think i’d take up leadership? they’re gonna wish jaemin went.”

You look over beside you, coming face to face with Jeno

"What?"

"Why are you glaring at the screen like that?" he asks, he's been watching you stare at your laptop screen like that for a few minutes before deciding to ask you. That made you relax your face "I was squinting, I forgot my glasses in my other bag so I can't really see anythi-"

Your sentence got cut off when you see Jeno take something out of his bag, "Knew you'd forget it"

You take it from him, quickly putting your glasses on. Immediately everything becomes clearer

"That's so much better, thanks Jen" you smile at him which he gladly returns

Jeno has become some sort of human reminder for you. He's always there whenever you forget something, from your glasses to your keys to your appointments you sometimes forget.

He sometimes teases and nags you about it but secretly he loves it. He likes how you need him, and he likes taking care of you. It's like second nature to him now.

You on the other hand is like Jeno's defender, he's an introvert and you have no problem dealing with everyone and everthing else. The two of you balance each other out.

"I can't find the salt we need, should we go to another store?" he asks you.

The two of you are getting groceries, one of your favorite activities to do together. It's very domestic, but even the most mundane activities excites you when you do it with him

"Did you ask someone, maybe they have some in the back or something" you tell him, putting some other things in the cart

When he didn't reply to you, you looked over at him seeing the small pout on. You already knew what that meant.

Walking towards him, you loop your arm with his pulling him to the other aisle "Do we need the salt, like really need it?" you ask

"We have salt at home, but the recipe said we need this one" he answer

"Salt is salt, let's just use the one at home" you tell him, resolving the mini dilemma of your introverted boyfriend.

You grab other necessities like ramen, bread, milk and cereals.

“Who puts ice in milk and cereals?” Jeno asks, watching you put the mlik in the cart

“I do, and don’t hate on it until you’ve tried it. I've been telling you for so long to give it a try”

“Sounds... disgusting"

“It’s just cold milk, dude” you tell him. The first time you told him you enjoyed your cereal in the morning with ice and milk, you thought he'd be weirded out but instead he just nodded and got you a glass of ice to put in your cereal.

From that moment on you knew he's the one for you.

The memory made you smile, looking over at Jeno before hugging him sideways.

"What?" he asks confused

"Nothing, just remember how you didn't say it was weird when we ate breakfast the first time. You even got me ice"

He chuckles, putting his arm over you to hold you by the waist. One hand on the shopping cart.

"Definitely left a lasting impression, I would say"

"Oh so me eating my cereal with ice left more of an impression than the night we met?" you ask jokingly

He smiles, then leans down towards you "I mean I'll never forget the night we met when you literally fell for you. Like landed right on my lap"

"It's been years, I told you Renjun pushed me"

"Mhm, love you too" he teases you

He remembers that night too, like it happened yesterday. The night started out like any other party he's been too, he was just lounging in the living room when all of a sudden someone lands on his lap.

That was the first time he met you.

You apologized over and over again, embarrassed out of your mind but Jeno being the gentleman that he is assured you it was okay. You thought that was the last you'll see of him but turns out it was the start of a beautiful relationship.

"Question, can I take this hoodie home with me?"

Jeno hears you from behind him, taking a quick look while the game loads to see you wearing one of his many hoodies.

One of many you claimed your own ever since you started dating. He wonders why you still ask until now when you always end up wearing it

"Take your pick" he says, "This is my pick for the week, also remind me to buy your fabric softener. I love this smell"

Jeno smiles at you, opening his arms inviting you in for a hug. You trudge towards him, letting his arms wrap around you. He pulls you on his lap, the gaming chair moves a bit before he turns it back towards his computer.

"You're going to play like this?" you ask him, your adorable boyfriend nods before giving your nose a peck

"You sure?" you ask again, instead of answering you with words he just hugs you even closer. Tucking you under his chin while you hear him type away on his keyboard

"Alright then, not gonna lie I can take a nap like this" you yawn, resting your head on the crook of his neck

"Go rest, baby. I'll hold you"

You smile at his words, feeling relaxed in his arms. Jeno knows you struggle sleeping. It gives him joy whenever he sees you asleep on his bed or on the couch in his dorm or most times on his lap whenever the two of you are cuddling.

It's like a super power only he has, you feel safe and comfortable with him your mind just forgets all the noise and finally get the rest it needs.

If you're being honest, you've probably slept more soundly on his bed with him than on your bed. The only time you can fall asleep easily on your bed is when he's with you.

After a few rounds, Jeno logs out and turns his computer off. Gently lifting you up in his embrace before walking towards the bed to lay you gently.

He goes out the room to check around the apartment before going back into bed with you. Plugging both of your phone on the charging dock before turning to face your sleeping figure, he can't help but admire you.

Even when you're asleep, you still amaze him. He's enchanted with you. Ever so gently he scoots over to cuddle you, tucking you in his arms like he's shielding you from the world before whispering a quick 'good night, i love you' in your ear.

with mark being the oldest, he's pretty much watched jungeun grow up. he often finds it endearing and a little sad, but his way to forget how much she's grown is to put her name as "child #1" (jisung being #2)

in any interview or situation where jungeun gets directly ostracized, or a inappropriate or sensitive topic gets brought up, mark is always the first to say something about how maybe that's not the best thing to ask and they'd rather move onto the next question

mark is always looking out for jungeun, and she resiprocates the same energy as well. she didn't do it at first, but once she got more comfortable with mark (and after he started teaching her some english) she would repeat the same things he'd say to her and he found it the funniest (but cutest) thing ever. "how're you doing mark?", "what's up mark!", "you good?", "thank you for teaching me english (.◜◡◝)"

THE twins. when jungeun first met renjun when he joined sm in 2015 she honestly was sad at the thought that she wouldn't debut with him before she knew she was in nct

whenever jungeun is experiencing high anxiety, renjun knows how to help and how relieve her stress. because he's dealt with it before, he always tells her to let him know if she's having a hard time and he will be there

just like renjun helps jungeun when she's struggling, she did the same for renjun during dream()scape era when he was getting hate comments constantly, she was there to tell him nothing that the haters were saying was true.

through thick and thin these two can understand each other's feelings very well, and because of that it's also helped them whenever the full group has a serious argument, the two of them alone can help alleviate the situation

gosh, these two... they are the textbook definition of best friends. they do so many things together that they forget one thing they've already done just to accidentally do it again

jeno (somehow) makes jungeun more confident, she mentioned in a "7llin' in the dream" episode that jeno was the one who really got her interested in the gym and that whenever he shows his abs she suddenly feels confident too as well (unfortunately many fans have taken this out of context)

their duo name, juno, came from their names but also came from their nicknames for each other being "nono" and "juju"

┃HAECHAN ( haejung )

these two are honestly inseparable. very much so that they went through a period of time where they would talk to each other through BUBBLE when their messages weren't working

the evil duo, they always are up to something mischevious whether it be pranking the members or just pestering them

their main inside joke is that they're twins because a non-fan once said that they wholeheartedly believed they were twins, and they thought it was the funniest thing in the world

┃JAEMIN ( jungmin )

jaemin was jungeun's closest friend as a trainee, and it shows by the way they interact now. always being the closest members of nct dream and all the fans knowing it, it was a bit of an obivous fact when rumors started going around about their relationship.

they just get each other, they understand each other's feelings so well that they can tell if the other is upset just by the way they type

not to say the dreamies aren't there for jungeun, because they are, but jaemin is always the #1 person to help her or comfort her. whenever jungeun antis are having a field day online and spewing death threats at her for the nth time, you bet jaemin is right with her and calming her down if needed

both chenle and jungeun have dogs, daegal and miso. due to this, they used to call each other their respective dog's parents. chenle was miso's dad and jungeun was daegal's mom. due to the circumstances of jaemin and jungeun getting together they changed the dynamic to brother and sister

you'd have to be blind to miss the millions of side eyes these two give each other every day, their sassyness combined could kill a caveman on the spot

despite both being extremely sassy to each other, they get along very well when not bickering. their favorite things to do together is take daegal and miso for walks, play video games, and chenle enjoys decorating things with jungeun as her hobby.

with the both of them being the babies in not only nct but also the babies of sm (at one point), they've grown as close as siblings

90% of the time the other members will walk in on them arguing, most times it's not even genuine arguing they're just arguing for fun

in a episode of "7llin' in the dream", jisung mentioned how they used to hug before every performance and cheer each other up because of their nerves

if you didn't know these two, you'd probably assume they were biological siblings. and surprisingly they aren't. they have so much love and care for each other like genuine siblings.

Btw Renjun has kept his legs crossed on his seat for much of this. I get it, it's just more comfortable lol.
