I love so many interior design fads that are coming back! Lots of houseplants, certain mid century modern pieces, gallery walls - there are lots of things to love! But this is exactly what I think of when I see the macrame and “natural rug” craze come back. My grandparent’s house. Cringy. 😂 (Also many abandoned houses I’ve explored sport remnants of macrame hanging from the ceiling or walls and feature harvest gold and avocado appliances not to mention some truly scary wallpaper!) Can we please leave the 70s in the 70s? It was a disaster of a decade for decor and fashion! (Just a personal opinion - I still love you even if you’re into 70s stuff 😂) And yes these photos are straight from the 70s - I found them in a box yesterday. You can see my mom in the corner is the second one.
