Hello, do you think is possible that we will get a FITF live album? Louis and the band sound so good on tour.

they doooo! I love Steve's arrangements and additions to the songs so much! Honestly I have no idea; on the one hand it seems like Louis might be more focused on moving towards new stuff, like we are still in FITF mode but by the time it came out he had had it forever and now he's well into LT3 and probably feeling more excited about those new songs and sounds; on the other hand he is very good at working the industry stuff and all the angles and it's basically free money, right? He has said FITF was a further step towards the sound he wants most rather than the finish line, so it's possible that as happened with Walls as he works more on the new one he is getting less enthused about sharing the old stuff; but I think adding Steve's arrangements and just moving away from some of the songs seems to have lessened that this time around, so maybe that isn't a factor. Here's the thing though: the only way it would happen or make sense I think would be if it was recorded pretty recently, like one of the UK shows; the show was still being tweaked and gelled and cooking until then. But if they wanted to make vinyl (and surely they would? fancy double vinyl of live albums is SUCH a thing), that is very very long process of waiting around these days. First you have to get lacquers made (this is the physical thing that the recording is cut into that all the records are duplicates of- if you want quality it has to be more or less handmade by an artisan) but one of the two places left in the world that made those burnt to the ground in 2020 so there's a super long wait time on that. Then it just has to get made; but there are basically ten large scale factories left (again, in the WORLD) that press records so that also has a very long wait time... so it would take forever and the thing is I think we're getting LT3 in the late fall/ early winter (I bet he's using this month to finish it up so it can begin this lengthy process). So I kind of don't think so, like I guess they could do a CD/ cassette/ digital only in late spring and make so much money, and it would be fun, but who knows. Either way, I just hope Louis has Steve do some production work on LT3, I like his sounds and ideas a lot, and that he keeps him around to do his tours forever!

Magic Headcanons for the Papas

Part 1: Primo

It’s easy to underestimate Primo, especially in his advanced age. Old man who hangs out in the garden most of the day and spends the rest of his free time reading books and sipping tea? Can’t be that powerful, even if he is a former papa. Bro probably uses his magic to summon those strawberry candies to give out to kids. Nothing to worry about, right?

Oh ye of little faith

Primo was, in fact, fucking terrifying back in the day. He has a massive wellspring of magic at his disposal at any given point in time and over the years has gotten very good at accessing it whenever needed. What took other casters hours to perform, he could do in minutes.

In case he wasn’t already terrifying enough, his preferred type of magic was Necromancy. Primo is very in tune with the life force of others around him, can feel the push and pull of growth and decay like the pull of the tides. He can use this in a bunch of ways: healing, communing with spirits, ending lives with the flick of a wrist I mean what?

Back when he was younger, he used to be able to tap directly into the flow of the quintessence around him to redirect it, but as he’s gotten older, yanking around the magic like that has gotten harder than it used to be, so nowadays it takes a bit of “charge-up” time for him to gather the energy required before the spell can be cast.

When he casts, the air pressure around Primo starts to build, a heaviness similar to diving deep under water. The pressure grows and grows till your eardrums feel like they’ll burst. Finally, the pressure releases with the cast of the spell, an echoing chime of a bell ringing in the surrounding area.

On the occasions where his magic took on a more visual element, it expresses itself as glowing red chalk-like runes written into the air. Primo prefers to use his magic in more subtle ways, though.

Nowadays, Primo’s favorite form of magic is potion brewing, which doesn’t require as much brute casting energy to perform. Still, he’s become scarily good at that as well. He can make just about anything that’s been written down in the ministry’s library given the time and resources. His casual hobby, though, is making poisons. Old men and their plants, man.

(Also he totally does still use his magic and plant knowledge to conjure up unique candies to hand out to the younger siblings he comes across but you didn’t hear that from me!)

rain’s curls

headcanon that when rain was summoned he had long hair. almost as long as dew. he crawled out of whatever body of water he called home in the pit and was summoned while still in his unglamoured siren ish form. and the cardinal summons all water ghouls from the abbey lake, so rain peeks out from under the water with his bioluminescent horns. as he walks towards the shallows, the ghouls watching can see his form: all swimmer body and lean muscle, hard v shapes on his lower stomach and webbed fingers at his side. his hair is dripping wet just like the rest of him. but it’s long and as soon as he steps out of the water and it starts to dry agonizingly slow, it forms waves and slight curls along his collarbone.

fast forwards to a few days later when he’s already with the others in the den. he’s usually dry everyday now and his hair is starting to annoy him. it never bothered him in the water before but now it just gets in the way all the time. so he goes to swiss and asks him if he’s ever cut anyone’s hair before and swiss just grins up at him and tells him to sit down (i think swiss has experience with hair stuff since i headcanon him with different hairstyles all the time, depending on his mood). so rain sits down and swiss cuts his hair into a shaggy curly shoulder-length haircut. he’s sad to see his beautiful black hair go but he’s glad it doesn’t get everywhere anymore. so he thanks swiss and goes about his day just to walk into the ghoul den later and find dew in the kitchen. they still don’t know each other very well so he just greets him shyly. which makes dew turn around to look at him and he almost spits his drink out, choking on it. why? because rain’s curls are even more defined now without the weight of the longer strands straightening them out and they look so soft, so silky. he just wants to go up to him and tangle his clawed fingers in rain’s curls and tug and pull at them until he makes them messier than ever. he wants to pull on them and expose rain’s neck to him so he can drag his fangs across his jugular and-

and he realizes he’s staring, cup still in front of his lips as rain gets confused. did he walk in on something? did he say something wrong? maybe dew just doesn’t like him? so he gets to work and grabs whatever he came in for, while dew finally snaps out of it and clears his throat. he says hi back and gulps his drink down, throwing the cup in the sink somewhat harsher than he’d meant. he’ll deal with it later. now he has another problem to deal with because of how good rain looks. so he scurries out of the kitchen and common rooms and leaves, while rain is watching him through thick long eyelashes and short curls that now fall over his eyes. he wonders what happened but decides to let it go, he doesn’t want to interpret anything. just before he can shake it out of his head dew comes back around the corner and tells him, voice shakier than intended, “nice haircut by the way.” he’s gone as quickly as he’d returned and rain stands there, eyes wide and cheeks flushed. he can’t help the smile tugging at his lips as he realizes what happened and makes a mental note to remember this.

Hoodie Weather

 They decided to go to the beach, on a sunny day.“How are you not burning up in that, it’s not hoodie weather?”  Danny asked, looking at his vampire friend, who was hiding in a hoodie, and sunglasses.

“It’s like the vampire version of a rash guard. If I’m in the sun for more than ten minutes, I burn, and without the sunglasses, I’d go blind. Like any sunli\ght on my skin, it feels like one of those metal slides we played on as kids, but when you get stuck halfway down, so the metal cooks your ass and legs.  Then, even if you slid all the way, it’s just down more hot metal,  and your ass is red for like an hour. “ Adam explained as he planted an oversize umbrella in the sand and then plopped down in the darkest shadow, legs folded and crossed in front of him.

“Ads?” Justin had finally come, carrying a heavy canopy, still folded up and stuffed in a bag. 

“Finaly!” The vampire layed back, using a folded towel as a pillow, and watched the others start putting up the dark blue canopy.

“Really, you’re not going to help?” Maynard grumbled as they carried the protective shade over the vampire.

“We’re at a beach in the middle of summer, one the sunniest day of the week, and I'm like allergic to the fucking sun.”

“Then why’d ya come?” Danny was already putting his hair up in a ponytail for a swim.

“You guy’s fucking drug me out here.” Adam lit up when Justin sat down beside him. “Oh, hay!”

“So Justin, if you get wet, do you smell like a dog?”

“No, you bloody ass.” Then, the werewolf growled at the drummer.

Mushy May Day 6: Picnic

Sometimes the chaos twins get to have a nice moment together… before the chaos :)

When Sunny and Dew got together the result could sometimes be… explosive. Fire and air tend to play into each other anyways, but that combined with the two’s chaotic natures tended to worry the rest of the pack when they would hang out. 

Other times though there were moments like this. Far away into the woods tucked into a small clearing, the two laid out in a little patch of sun. They would eventually get back to the grand spread packed up on the blanket behind them, but for now they relished in the moment. Both took a deep breath, focusing on the feeling of light breeze blowing through the clearing, cooling their sun-warmed skin ever so slightly, and the weight of the other’s hand clasped in their own. 

Despite being a troublesome duo, the other’s presence had a calming effect sometimes. There was a feeling of resolution from connecting with the partnering element, all the ever-racing thoughts in the ghouls minds settling out. They had on several occasions tried to explain this to the rest of the pack, but were accused of trying to have an excuse to hang out alone and scheme up trouble. It doesn’t matter in the end, the semi-secret nature of these picnics in the woods only added to the fun.

Eventually Sunny feels the fire ghoul give her hand a gentle squeeze, indicating that he is ready to continue with the rest of their outing. “I was just about to do the same thing… twinsies” Sunny giggles as she sits up, crawling back over to the large picnic blanket she had swiped out of Mountain’s closet earlier that morning. 

The two unpack the basket of goodies in comfortable silence, the fresh fruit pilfered from the abbey gardens taking center stage as they surround it with the pastries they had convinced Mountain to bake for them, and the strawberry lemonade Dew prepared earlier that morning. Sunny had planned all the snacks but was still ecstatic to see the way in which Dew was able to execute it all. 

Once the pastries are gone, they go back and forth attempting to throw berries into the other's mouth, laughing uncontrollably whenever it hits their forehead instead. By the time the afternoon sun begins to fall below the treeline, all of the provisions are gone and their faces stained with faint little blotches of red and blue from the errant berries. 

They both lay back onto the blanket, looking up at the sky above and once again holding hands. Every once and a while one of the two gestures with their combined hands at a funny shaped cloud or weird bird flying overhead. For the most part though they simply bask in each other’s company.

“This has been really nice, sunbeam” Dew sighs contently, but Sunny knows there is something else there beneath the surface. A light hint of mischief sneaking into his tone that any of the others would have missed. The serene moment has reached its conclusion and the time for the two of them to tear across the grounds like a wildfire has returned.

“It really has been, but I get the feeling you have a new plan in mind” she prompts, smiling at Dew wickedly as she sits up. 

The fire ghoul pushes himself up, turning to look at her in the eye. “Wanna see if we can figure out how to combine our magics to make some sorta hot air balloon?” he propositions, eyes already glowing with barely contained magical energy.

“Oh fuck yeah!”

Summary:

Copia and Dew are leaving to go on tour soon. They spend their last night with Aether. And while the whole pack will, of course, miss Aether (and Sunshine, who was also staying behind this time), he’d wanted a night with his mate and his Papa, to properly see them off, one last night for the next many months that they’re away. (Aether already has plans to sneak away midway through the tour to come see a few of the shows, once things at the ministry settle down a bit, but that’s not until later in the summer, and with it only being spring now, time will surely drag on and on and on.)

what’s your favorite pairing of ghouls?? and why?

Probably the absolute most favorite is Swiss and dew. They’re fucking idiots and I want to shake both of them like a water bottle of crystal light, affectionately. They’re like two sides of the same coin chaos wise. (My own headcanons and pulling from a lot of diff creators here) I just love how they’re characterized together. Dew being a brat and a shithead, messing with people for his own entertainment and not being super open emotions wise. And then Swiss just knows him inside and out, and isn’t afraid to completely break him open and rub salt in his wounds, and dew loves it. It’s what he needs to ground him.

Kind of a pair but also not depending but Swiss and cumulus or Swiss and cirrus and cumulus. Swiss is just the biggest flirt and loves to mess with people, so I love imagining him always flirting with cumulus, constantly flattering her, and just submitting so well for her (or her and cirrus) when they get into the bedroom. Just imagining him being so submissive for her !!!!!!! Especially if both cirrus and cumulus are there to completely ravage him

MOUNTAIN AND DEW!!!!!! I’m am banging my fists on the floor at these two. Mountain being a fairly stoic more serious guy, just wants to do his work and be an upstanding citizen, and then dew just being a complete menace, again as I said before, a brat. And mountain has his patience, he knows dew will stop at some point if he doesn’t indulge, but sometimes he can’t help himself. He just has to teach the smaller ghoul a lesson. BUT ON THE FLIP SIDE imaging dew being good for mountain! And not even in a completely sexual sense, just dew being nice and sitting with mountain while he works in the green house, and listening to him talk, or cuddling with him. Ugh just dew being soft for him MY STOMACH HURTS

i could probably talk about every single pair like this, but these make me want to eat drywall when I see them paired together (affectionately)
