hm coffee either Very Black No Sugar (for the sleep deprived me) or iced latte three sugars and theres no in between

and as for tea its All Black Teas That Exist, cinnamon-flavoured especially (but basically all teas that come to mind when u think “autumn”), and rooibos!!! okay basically the only oke i dont like is any type of green tea (which is sad because they look cool but my tastebuds said ✨no✨)

honestly id l o v e too because i love plants but,,, im kinda horrible at taking care of them though still way better than the majority of my family (research helps) so the only plant i own is kinda a small-palm-tree-looking thing in a bigass glass jar that i saved from my mother’s plant-destructing hands and its mostly doing well (the ends of its leaves are starting to be yellow tho and im worried:((( )

okay im gonna be completely honest with yall and say that my every single try at keeping a journal failed spectacularly and i lost motivation after like a few months so my only journals rn are my fancy fake-leather-bound calendar to note tests and assessments into, a kinda roughed up notebook that i uses for noting down poems or scribbling or passing notes in class, and a kinda fancy bullet journal notebook that i used as a book of shadows for a while but since my fountain pen died i didnt touch it

i am so not a morning person but i wish i could be because honestly dawns are beautiful

but as it is rn im either sleep deprived all the time and loathe every second of being in an awake state or (if i have a few days of schoolbreak) my biological clock moves forward a few hours and i sleep 2am-10am

except for the fact that i dont remember the last time it happened, i would probably spend it drawing outside, watching anime with my sister and riding a bike around the forest

i love sunrises because its so peaceful and everyone is asleep but also i subconsciously immediately correlate them with waiting for a train to take me to school (because thats basically the only time i see them) so its a bittersweet love especially with my fucked up biological clock

but sunsets are really really pretty too and i see them more often so i cant choose

okay so basically my two favourite stuffed animals (i still have them, they sit in my wardrobe) were two teddy bears (like maybe 20cm high each of them) and one was pure brown and the other was silver-brown and they had stereotypical polish male names “Waldek” (read. Valdek) and Stefan (i think tho im not sure if i remember correctly, my memory is a feeble thing sometimes

i always liked the kora/persephone myth (though demeter is an overbearing parent to the nth power), loki and thor crossdressing at a party to get mjolnir back, atalanta because shes a queen and id politely ask her to kick my ass, and cassandra because she deserved better, and theres a l o t more because alas i was a mythology nerd but this post is long enough for me not to make this section 20 times longer sjjsjsjsjsjks

but there are a lot of slavic myths that are very cool too, though we dont know that much about them as about the greeks for example

o o o o h yeah i do like poetry because to create such a beautifully sounding thing with only words someone has to be a genius

some of my favs are: some works of nakahara chuuya (thank u bsd for introducing me to this man’s beautiful imagery in his works i swear to god the descriptions do it for me) (also his poem about having hangovers is a mood like i feel you buddy), the raven by ea poe (i know everyone likes it but hOLY DAMN THE INTER/INTRAVERSE RHYMES ARE LIKE,,, BREATHTAKING) (and aso im a slut for gothic horror), and many more but also That One Poem From Welcome To Nightvale about reaching the island in the west,,, only perfect vibes from it

okay heres the thing. for anyone else both my playlist library and my bookshelf would be considered pure chaos of a mad man b u t they actually have a highly focused system which means that i sort them based on their vibes, lovability and (in case of books) their age and whether or not theyre a part of a series so i would say my bookshelf is rather organised (when a quarter of it isnt occupying my desk that is) and my music is more organised than not but sometimes it gets out of control and i have to sort it entirely again

either entirely constructed of simple white daisies, entirely constructed of only white roses, or something that probably would win a “how many different coloured flowers can one fit in a flower crown” competition

Backstory of How I Got Into Kpop: Okay so basically back when I was in highschool my main hoe/bestie and my mom-friend/bestie came to me and showed me the mv for Mr. Simple and I was like oh shit this is pretty lit and the choreo is popping. (I’m in love with dancing so that’s a big bonus when I see some on point choreography) Then I went home and looked into a few more Super Junior songs and MVs and I was hooked on them for a while until school came weighing down on my back like a [censored, possibly offensive joke]. Then a few years later around the middle of college those same two besties came to me again with BTS - Blood, Sweat & Tears and I looked at Jimin like 👀 how you doing? And then I saw Joon’s fine ass and I was like 👀👀 well hello thurr... Then they showed me Not Today and I saw grapemon and I knew he was the one. It was bias at first second sight.... and from there I just dug deeper and deeper into the world of K-pop and now I’m like an ultimate multifandom dumpsite.

1. are you a history or maths person? why do you prefer the one you chose?

i used to hate history, despise it even, because it was so dry in school. now i’ve found i love understanding about the motivations and choices that people make in certain situations, because history is always being written! my friends and i often have discussions about how the past is relating to the current political climate so i’m getting more invested. 

also i have to do math for my degree and i think doing hundreds of problems while simultaneously grumbling at the previous owner of the textbook for ripping out the answer page does chip away at the magic of it...

2. you’re lost at sea. what is your first reaction: do you panic or do you remain calm?

i’d like to say i’d be calm but to be honest i’d probably yell with my head underwater for a few minutes to get out the frustration (how did i get lost??) before calming down. i can swim and am relatively patient so i feel like i’d be okay in the end

3. are you a dog person or a cat person?

4. what is your favourite song?

SOS by Rihanna but ask me on another day and the answer will be different

okay, so first i’d fly to London and see the wizarding world of harry potter. after exploring the UK, i’d hop on trains to explore the entirety of Europe, these countries and all in between: Belgium, up to Sweden via the Netherlands, down to the countries surrounding the Mediterranean, then Italy to Portugal, Germany, Austria, through France (a quick pit stop to get eclairs) and back to my plane.  for the second trip i’d fly to Peru and climb Machu Picchu because that’s numero uno on my bucket list and i’m dying to go backpacking in South America

Destin is a beautiful place to visit all year. There are so many things to do! Destin also has some great annual events, both during peak and the off seasons. Here are annual events you can experience on your trip to Destin. 

Watch a movie on the water!

During Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, you can rent a boat and watch a shark-themed film on Crab Island. Emerald Coast Marine and Splashboards join together and bring the event together for locals and visitors to enjoy; you can rent a boat from various water sports companies located in the Harbor. Usually they won’t let you rent a boat at night, but this event is an exception. It’s always best to call before to inquire before the event. If you wish to rent a kayak or canoe, make sure the current is not too strong. Some companies will make a group trip with kayaks if you so wish to do so. There is also a movie night earlier in the summer; check Emerald Coast Marine’s Facebook page to find the other night. If you want to test your bravery, bring a floatie to lay on in the water while you watch!

Gumbo Festival

In Sandestin, one of the surrounding areas of Destin, there is the Sandestin Gumbo Festival every February. The Gumbo Festival takes place in the Village of Baytowne Wharf, and has been occurring for the past 30 years. As one of the most popular and largest food festivals, local restaurants in the gulf area have the opportunity to give the judges their gumbo to be judged. Recently, Bloody Mary’s have put their hat into the ring, and you can find bars and restaurants competing for the best Bloody Mary during this festival as well. If you want to enjoy some of the finest gumbo in the Emerald Coast, the festival takes place on the Saturday of President’s Day weekend every February. You need a wristband to try the food and drinks, but the wharf is free to walk around and enjoy! Being a popular event, make sure to book your ticket (and following alternatives if you do not want to drive) in advance. Ticket packages are available if you so please. 

Wine Festival

Sandestin doesn’t just host a gumbo festival, they also host a wine festival. The Sandestin Wine Festival occurs annually every April. Hundreds of local, domestic, and international wines are showcased for you to taste. If you have any questions, you can find representatives of the vineyards to help you answer your questions. Like the gumbo festival, you do need a wristband to try samples. However, the Baytowne Wharf is free to enjoy so you are welcome to walk around and take in the sights and smells. If you want to make a weekend out of this three day festival, or if you don’t want to drive after, you can find different options online. This is also a popular festival that tends to sell out, so book in advance if you want to go. 

Fishing Rodeo

The Destin Fishing Rodeo has been around since 1948. Over 30,000 fisherman compete for various prizes. There are 29 divisions for any and all anglers in any and all forms of fishing and boating. You can find anglers fishing on a paddle board! This event takes place every October. If you want a piece of the action, booking any charter fishing trip during the Rodeo and catching a big fish automatically puts you in it with no additional charge. If you simply want to watch the weigh-ins, they occur from 10 in the morning to 7 at night on the docks of AJ’s. 

Seafood Festival

If you find yourself in Destin during October, you’ll also find 70,000 other people visiting the Destin Seafood Festival. Being the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”, all sorts of seafood are showcased from other seafood vendors in the southeast as well as some of Destin’s most well-known restaurants. If seafood isn’t your thing, there’s also live entertainment, children’s activities, and other kinds of vendors at the festival as well, running from Harborwalk Village to the Destin Yacht Club. In terms of parking, you have some options. Parking lots close to the event tend to have parking fees. Heron Harbor and Harborwalk Village offer the closest parking to the event, and you don’t have to cross the highway. You can find free parking a ways away from the event with a small fee for a shuttle to take you there and back. A water taxi can take you if you’re staying on Holiday Isle, located on Gulf Shore Drive.

Beer Festival

Another October event is the Baytowne Beer Festival. Every October, you can find 50 breweries and 200 beers (both domestic and international) that you can try. If you have any questions, representatives and volunteers are present to help you. Ticket holders are given a small glass as a souvenir from the festival. A separate ticket event is also available for local beers found in the wharf. You must have a wristband to try the beers, but those who are not drinking can still enjoy the wharf for free. Tickets do sell out quickly, so booking in advance is advisable. If you don’t want to drive following your experience, you can find other options in the area. Bundle packages are available too. 

Halloween 5k

McGuire’s Irish Pub hosts a 5k and 10k walk/run every year the Saturday before Halloween. McGuire’s always delivers on a good time for any of their events, including this one. After completing the 5k/10k you can enjoy a post race party with entertainment, Irish drinks and food, and their signature drink, the Irish Wake. Before the race, you can find breakfast available if you wish. Make sure you sign up ahead of time for the race. If you’re more serious about the race, running the 10k is best. The 5k runners are more likely doing it for fun. Some will be in full Halloween costumes, and you’ll find plenty of families as well. 

Arts Festival

If you’re a fan of art, then the Mattie Kelly Arts Festival is a good choice for you. This event takes place in late October and is a two day event, complete with work from over 100 artists. You can find a wide range of artwork styles and mediums; there are also awards for the artists which they compete in during the festival as well, and they’re selected by festival goers. You can also find live music, activities for children, and souvenirs. If you’re hungry, there is food and drinks available as well. 

Aquatic Holiday Parade

Destin during the holidays is a great time to explore some more annual events. During the month of December, the Destin Lighted Boat Parade is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. Starting from Boshamps Restaurant and leading to Harborwalk Village, you can see an array of boats full of Christmas lights and decorations galore. The parade ends in the East Pass close to the bridge; a boat in the water will set off fireworks at the end. If you want a closer view, any of the restaurants or docks in Harborwalk Village offer a great view. Norriego Point is also a great option, but the boaters will be facing Harborwalk. 

Snow Day in Destin

Florida is not well-known for their abundance of snow. In fact, it’s probably known for the opposite. However, the Saturday before Christmas, the Baytowne Wharf grants Destin with a little bit of winter magic. You can find snowmen, kids making snow angels, and a family snowball fight on the wharf one day out of the year. If it’s going to be a sunny day, make sure your family gets there before Frosty can melt!

Though this month should raise that up higher given I have to be up for my exams starting at 9, stay up to catch my early morning flight the next day and stay up to catch my transfer flight and then keep staying up so I don’t crash through dinner and wake up at like one in the morning, like someone with jet lag. (Bermuda and Halifax are literally in the same time zone, I cannot do this to myself)

But, in Bermuda you’re taught by literally anyone so accents are just?? a thing that exist. I don’t have a favourite.

Watching her was hard.

She was always smiling and even though it wasnt for him, he still felt like it would cure his life maybe even the entire world

It didnt matter that she had no money or status

She was a queen like no other

Yes, she was kind and sweet but he loved that she was brutal, passionate, and fierce

but above all: she was honest

The things he learned she didnt love about herself, he loved a thousand times more- no an infinite amount more

He wont lie, he hated Seven for the longest maybe still does

He took her away even though his job could hurt her

even though he could offer MC more protection than Seven and more opportunities 

he found himself hating Seven

But MC was happy

And thats all that mattered to him

Even if it meant that she wouldnt smile like that for him

She wont show him the faces she makes when shes sad, happy, angry, excited, lost in love, orgasming, and even ignoring him- he knows that it cant ever happen

But he liked to think about what it could all be with her:

How she would be the most favorite flavor he could ever taste

How shed be his favorite place to go to when he wanted to fade away from his troubles

Hed think about the girl in the apartment whod look at her phone at ungodly hours of the night and still manage to stay awake during the day to do her work (or whatever she did)

At first he thought maybe taking on more cat projects would help to regain his focus

he felt that instead, it enhanced his daydreaming and even night dreaming of her

He felt that maybe it was something unhealthy how hed dream of her at night too and figured he needed a doctor or more time with Elizabeth III

When he realized that what he needed was her, everything in his focus dropped

He’d never felt such relief and such calm and such a high all at once- he felt alive and warm and sad all at once

Like his tangles were unraveling slowly

he hoped that she felt the same for him when they talked, but he was mistaken

when he knew it could never be like that

his heart swelled and everything warm and beautiful made his heart cry out for MC

he knew

It would always be him swimming alone in a vast clear ocean sea, with his feeling exposed and no rescue boat or life saver to come for him

It hurt.

Knowing that this love he has for her wont have anywhere else to go but to disappear into the ocean exposing him

He could find someone with status and power yet still be kind and fierce and even a model but none would ever match to MC

She became the name he whispered when he needed help, when he was frustrated, when he was sad, and when he wanted relief

He sometimes wished that they had never met or that MC was a different person with a different personality but even then, he knew 

he would always feel something like this for MC however she was

WHen Seven asked for advice on which places offered the best catering for weddings to the space station

Jumin knew he would always look at MC and Seven together on an island where they were unapproachable as he floated in the ocean that exposed him and his. Heart. Hurt.

Jahee 

It took her a while to realize that it bothered her for more than a few initial reasons

It was all confusing for her; granted she never had this happen before

She should have focused on her work instead of silly fantasies

But oh how she wanted for her fantasies to work out

She didnt want to become jealous of the one person she admired and followed

She didnt want to harbor any terrible feelings towards Zen

But she did

She didnt want MC and Zen to date because she didnt want MC to be with anyone at all

She did care about Zen’s career

But that wasnt the main reason as to why she wanted both of them to be single

It took her a while to realize that the feelings she had towards Zen were completely different than those she had towards MC

The one thing they both had in common was that both were gorgeous people

But towards MC she felt something else that she couldnt make herself feel towards Zen no matter how many times she tried

But ofc she didnt want to ignore their happiness and success

Zen will forever continue to be her idol

He was an amazing actor, model, singer, and person

But the one thing he had that no one else could ever be lucky to come close to in comparison was:

The love MC had for him

Even as she threw rice towards the new bride and groom

Jahee vowed she would never let anyone know what she felt and thought and instead would channel her feelings into supporting Zen’s career and MC for whenever MC would need her

She promised herself and god that she would never stop loving MC

She didnt want something so precious and pure to disappear just because it would never grow into something more than just friends

Even if she would become the godmother to their unborn child

With his rising career, he lied to himself a lot he was very good at it

Constantly repeating like a prayer that she was better off

That MC wouldn’t have to worry about crazy actresses or crazy fans making her life complicated with lies and rumors

That she could live a better life with no worries or fears or anything except for what she would wear for the day and what she should eat

Had she chosen anyone else, Zen would have objected

Bc no one could ever be good enough for the princess

But he knew

He knew that Mr trust fund would provide

Whatever MC would want or need: he would provide

And Zen would be okay with it

As long as he could see her smile and not want for anything

Zen would learn to live with watching them from afar

He would be okay with having to watch MC from atop the stage while she cheered with Jumin 

He would eventually learn how to stop drinking beer on a nightly bases and quit smoking as well 

Maybe he hoped to eventually learn to love someone other MC 

 Someone who could love him in a way that doesnt feel like its slowly tearing something from within apart 

maybe even for before the wedding 

being best man was something that took him by surprise 

but whether Jumin knew how he felt towards MC 

he would only give words of encouragement and support 

for as long as she would need it

maybe by the time they have a child, Zen would have found someone to replace MC 

even if for a little while longer he could continue to love her 

He would stay this way for as long as he could hold on

But twice?

Twice was not okay

Not after the last time

He did not feel comfortable with MC and V being together

Not after what happened with Rika; he did not condone their relationship

But he couldnt vocally oppose them

How could he?

All he knew was how to play a video game that consumed his life and came between him and being a better student

How could he offer MC a life when he couldnt even prove to himself that he could go a day without playing a stupid video game

And for what?

All because Rika died? Becuase Rika was with V who made him feel like he was hiding more than just a few details?

But he knew V would treasure MC.

The moment he saw them exchange rings, the moment they announced their pregnancy, and the moment he saw their small family together; he knew

Watching V hold their child in his arms made Yoosung feel like he should leave for a while 

Maybe go visit his parents for a few weeks 

becuase it became too much 

To watch the person you love live a life you envisioned for yourself with them was too much for him

He only came back when he heard the news 

V had died.

He should have been sad 

and he was! sure baby boi

but he was ashamed to admit it to himself that he was low key relieved

so instead he focused on helping MC and the child she had with V 

He knows he could never replace V; he was glad of it too 

but he didnt want her to feel like she was alone 

He always volunteered to help take care of the child and babysit and even coach her baseball team he fought for her to be allowed to join the boys team in the first place 

he did everything he felt a father would do 

When she called him “uncle” it made him feel like he cant ever be a father figure 

even more so when MC began to date again after 7 long years of being widowed 

Even if it wasnt with him or for him, he would always look after that child like his own and love her mother while she loved another man

707 / Saeyoung

He was okay with it

He knew he failed

The moment MC sided with Unknown, he somehow thought that she would be safer with this stranger

If he was good enough to be hidden from 707, then he was good enough to be hidden from other people;

People that would hurt MC

And that was all Seven needed

All that mattered was that MC would be safe wherever she was

He didnt like it; he didnt like not knowing where she was

Who she was with or why

Maybe she got the message after he pushed her away many times

But it would be something he would have to learn to be okay with

Becuase he was the fool to have let emotions overcome him

he was silly to have thought he deserved someone as caring and even understanding as MC 

hurting her to leave him was the only thing he knew would work 

And it worked. 

After she left with Unknown, he rarely saw her 

the times he did see her, she seemed happy 

granted she saw the other RFA members more than him 

But he was okay with it 

That was what he needed to know that he was going in the right direction 

He told himself his love was wasted on her 

But it wasnt 

if anything it was what kept him alive and sane; it was all he knew 

Alive and sane until he could find out where his brother was 

Maybe then he could find something to fill the void and emptiness MC left when she left 

But when he saw who MC was with 

He figured that Saeran wouldnt need him either 

if both of the people he loved the most had each other 

All he would need to do was to look at them from the sidelines and make sure they would be okay and safe; everything else would just be white noise 

They were the most important people in his life and nothing would ever change that. 

Even if they were also the people who didnt feel the same way he did towards them.

He told himself he would learn to be okay.

V 

He put her in harms way 

He avoided taking in the chat for that reason 

When she addressed him, he felt warm and cared about 

When she defended him for reasons she couldnt understand herself, V felt like maybe there was love after death 

that maybe Rika wasnt his only soulmate 

And he regretted that he didnt meet MC before the rest maybe even before Rika

But with how she interacted with Jahee 

he felt jealous, which was ridiculous right?

Yet, it wasnt

When they moved in together and opened the cafe 

it was all falling into place for both Jahee and MC 

And he didnt dare take that away from MC 

She deserved someone to watch over her and he knew that Jahee needed MC just as much and he did

He should have said something before they moved in 

but he didn’t find it odd.

When they decided to adopt a dog he felt cold and distant 

When they adopted their first son, he felt heartbroken 

When MC asked 707 to be the godfather his heart was shredded 

But when Jahee asked him to be his godfather of the child MC was carrying,

he wanted to say no 

But when MC was eager to make him also a godfather he dindt have the heart to say no 

He wont ever be connected to MC like she was with Jahee

but he could at least have a reason to stay close to MC 

He wouldnt cry or shed any tears, as long as he had the chance to look after MC from afar 

and hey, even if his goddaughter looked like her mommy, he saw the truth through her 

That both of her mommies were perfect for each other and he was glad to have stepped back to allow for their family to flourish. 

Unknown / Saeran 

Unknown knew he wasnt warm or soft or loveable

He couldnt provide MC with enough reasons that would have made her be with him

Why would she have chosen him?

It didnt surprise him that MC was with someone completely opposite to him

Someone who was warm and soft and loveable

And someone who could introduce her to their family and not have to hide away the crap of a life they were dealt with

She wouldnt have to feel burdened to carry a heavy load of pain and memories he tried to suppress

She could be happy and enjoy another family and maybe talk about casseroles or baby stuff with her mother-in-law

And have political debates or maybe talk about a silly show with her father-in-law

And not have to worry about being killed or hurt or tortured or anything he went through as a child

Saeran pretended to not care that she was getting married to a vet 

Or that she was close friends to his brother 

He even lied to himself that he didnt care whether she was alive or not 

but he couldnt 

Even if she didnt know he existed or that he loved her 

Saeran wouldnt show himself before her again 

Well, thats what he told himself 

but he made his way to working on going to her work daily for a cup of coffee 

To find a way to cater at the wedding 

to work on days she would appear at the baby store 

and even work one day at the school her child would go to

1. What language do you like the sound of/look of but would never study? I don’t wanna rule anything out completely because I never ever thought I’d learn Russian or even want to but probs Chinese. I like the sound of it but written just doesn’t appeal to me that much?? I like the look of Thai and the sound is quite comforting in that it’s very familiar to me (my auntie is Thai so I’ve been exposed to it for most of my life) but I’m not sure if I’ll ever actually study it

2. What do you do in your free time? (hobbies etc.) Apart from the obvious language learning I listen to music a lot, like, if I’m awake it’s almost guaranteed that I’m listening to music. I read a lot too (p much purely non-fiction) and watch videos and documentaries. Sometimes I draw and paint but not so much. When the weather is nice I go on very long walks so that takes up a lot of my time in spring/summer! 

3. Favourite cuisine? I’m very fussy but overall I’d say Italian 

4. If you could choose to learn/study one thing, no cost, no detriment to anything you’re doing now, just for fun, what would it be? I’d start learning Georgian immediately buuut steering away from languages I’d love to study art history. I find the symbolism endlessly fascinating and think it’s a very beautiful thing that humans do. Ceramics would be nice (and useful) too. 

5. Last thing you watched? (movie, tv show, whatever you want to talk a bit about) A vine compilation that had me crying from laughing so hard (almost scalded myself with peppermint tea in doing so) but apart from that I think it was an episode of Catfish which was WILD 

6. Got a crush on anyone rn? talk about them :) not got a crush on anyone rn? talk about a friend or someone you care about :) Ehh couple of months ago I would’ve said yes but I’ve realised romantic feelings are quite alien to me and am not sure if I ever do feel anything more than physical attraction lol yikes this is getting deep but I have a couple of close friends that I’m very grateful for and very proud of atm!

7. What do you think is a strange word in English/any language you’re studying? Syzygy!! I love it and the etymology is really cool but it’s a strange one. I find the French word “chair” strange cause it means flesh (maybe the worst false friend but the phrase “bien en chair” was v amusing to me at first). I wish I could think of one in Russian though  

8. A band/song you like in another language? Ahhhhh I have so many playlists (19!!) and lots are language specific so I could honestly go on forever here but Чёрное золото by Ярмак is loooovely and always gives me chills

9. What colour would you dye your hair if you had free reign/didn’t have to worry about bleaching etc etc? I’ve had my hair basically every colour apart from green but I haven’t dyed or bleached it since september 2014 (embracing the natural ginge finally u kno) so I don’t think I would 

10. What country would you like to live in if being far from family/friends/job/etc. wasn’t an issue? I think about this a lot because I don’t want to live on this humid, unnecessarily expensive tory hell island but really anywhere where I can be by the sea 

11. Name one thing you would get rid of from the world, no consequences This systematic way of living. We’re flying through space on a giant rock and there’s nowt we can really do about that (for now) so we might as well just have a good time
