#6th lumbar vertebrae

I can't remember exactly, but are any of your spinal issues around the lumbar-sacral area (specifically anywhere near L5-S1)? If so do you have any recommendations for supports or other aids that help with pain and general ability to move around somewhat comfortably?
Sorry if these kinds of questions are annoying but you're kind of the unofficial Spine Guy™ of disabled Tumblr and I don't know of anyone else to ask
Hey, so I do have issues around that area and I am so glad you asked me because nobody explained the concept of a 6th lumbar vertebrae to me and it turns out it’s something I actually have and you might have it too?
10% of people have a 6th lumbar vertebrae. So it is uncommon but not rare, kinda like endometriosis affects 10% of ppl with uteruses. Unless you’ve seen a doctor for that area specifically or had imaging done, it’s unlikely anyone would have told you about it.
For most people it is harmless. However, due to the nature of how L6 can underdevelop/fuse to other vertebrae, it does cause chronic pain and chronic mobility issues for certain folks
This article explains it really well.
The best thing you can do for a lumbar spine injury is light exercise to build your core strength.
Here are some simple exercises you can do with a yoga ball , foam mat, and 20 minutes . It’s always better to see a physical therapist who can guide you through these but physical therapy is very expensive in my country so I understand if that’s a barrier
#6th lumbar vertebrae#spinal disability#chronic pain#I will expand on this later I think but I gotta blast

The "Brat Pack" Max Papis, Tony Kanaan, Dario Franchitti, Greg Moore
Dario is now a senior member of the paddock, an advisor for Ganassi and coach, often more like a father/uncle figure, to their new young drivers. But in his youth in the 1990’s he was a wild child, a member of Cart’s “Brat Pack”, prone to staying up all night partying yet still winning races. He almost won the championship in 1999 but lost in the finale only to be told after the race that his best friend, and fellow member of the “Brat Pack”, Greg Moore had died.
He made the switch to IRL which became Indycar, in 2003, although injuries and recovering from those injuries kept him out of the car most of that year. He recovered and then began the epic prank era at Andretti Green races with his teammates on the way to his first Indy 500 win and his first Indycar championship in 2007. He decided to give NASCAR a try in 2008.
(We don’t talk about the NASCAR year)
He came back at Ganassi in 2009 and proceeded to win three championships in a row (and two more Indy 500s) while becoming the elder statesman of the series. But all of this success was not without sorrow and near disaster. The loss of Dan Wheldon hit him hard. He and his former teammate were still close friends. Another crash and the subsequent injures forced him into retirement in late 2013
He is a prime example of why we don't leave decisions on their fitness to race up to the drivers anymore, suffering more than his fair share of injuries in his career (see list above) and continuing to race when he definitely should not have.. One might call it a lack of survival instinct, which to be honest, most drivers lack, but Dario lacks it to an alarming degree. He is at risk of permanent paralysis and brain damage in the event of another major crash, yet still races vintage/historic cars on occasion, particularly at Goodwood.
I would be remiss not to mention his Scottish accent, thick dark hair that is silvering at the temples and still fit physique. He’s lost none of the charm of his youth and perhaps gained more now at the age of 50.

Neck And Back Pain Causes and Treatments
Neck and back pain is one of one of the most usual wellness issues in the United States. It occurs most frequently in the low back, but can affect any type of component of the spinal column. It is the 6th most pricey medical condition in the nation as well as can be really devastating. Read more details, click here. The back is a complicated structure composed of lots of bones, ligaments as well as muscle mass. It has vertebrae, intervertebral discs and a spine. Each of these structures has a specific function in supporting the body as well as shielding the spinal cord from injury. Some back issues, such as spondylosis as well as arthritis, can create chronic neck and back pain. Others, such as a slipped disc, can be treated with medication and also physical treatment. For more useful reference, browse this website here. If you have chronic neck and back pain, it's important to obtain help as soon as possible so that you can prevent lasting problems. If the problem is serious, surgical treatment may be needed. Therapies for back pain are generally non-surgical and commonly entail staying clear of particular tasks that intensify discomfort. Acupuncture, massage therapy as well as workout are also frequently used to help ease signs and boost feature. One of the most typical sources of back pain are stress and sprains from training, twisting or bending. These injuries can happen from everyday task or from sports or vehicle mishaps. Procedure such as discectomy and also spine fusion are occasionally used in cases where other therapies do not supply alleviation. In these instances, the person needs to be assessed by an orthopedic expert. Back problems, such as scoliosis or lumbar stenosis, can trigger persistent neck and back pain and are not uncommon in adults. They can also be a cause of discomfort for older grownups and people who are obese. Scoliosis can trigger a bent spinal column, which can tax the spine and nerves. This can bring about sciatic nerve pain, a problem where discomfort takes a trip down the buttocks and leg. Muscular tissue convulsions can likewise cause back pain and also stiffness. These spasms are brought on by muscular tissues in the reduced back that contract and loosen up frantically. Other problems that can trigger persistent neck and back pain consist of back fractures, spondylolisthesis, herniated discs and weakening of bones. These conditions can affect any component of the spinal column and also might be hard to identify without imaging examinations, such as X-rays. The most effective way to take care of pain in the back is to minimize the threat aspects that create it. This consists of reducing stress and anxiety, staying energetic and preventing smoking. It's likewise crucial to stay within your regular weight range and to avoid flexing or twisting when you can. Most neck and back pain gets better on its own, yet it can be unpleasant to deal with. It is an usual condition that can hinder your life and cause you to miss out on work. A few over-the-counter medicines, such as advil, can assist to alleviate pain in the back. Using a warm or cold compress to the area may also be practical. Maintaining a healthy diet plan is another crucial method to reduce the threat of pain in the back. Eat plenty of fruits, veggies and also entire grains to guarantee your body has the nutrition it requires. There are 33 degrees of the spinal column, or the Tree Trunk, which must be climbed with the Sacred Seed of Alchemy and each ‘step’ or each ‘degree’ leads to higher states of illumination. The Alchemical ‘hero’ travels below into the abyss of Hell to steal fire from the devil and return it above to the Heavens; this represents our battles with sexual desire and the returning of the Sacred Seed above. 33 vertebrae exist in total, 7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoraic, 5 lumbar in the small of the back, 5 fused vertebrae forming a solid bone, the sacrum (tail bone). Looks like an inverted pyramid and was also called “the seat of immortality.” In the coccyx, at the bottom of the sacrum are fused 4 bones. If you were to multiply the number of vertebrae, 33 by 2, counting both sides of the vertebrae on the spinal column we will find the number 66. (33 x 2=66) 6 is the number of man, for he was created on the 6th day, there are also 66 books of the Bible given to man. (66 + 6=72) As for the Human Skull. It has 22 bones, it sits at the top of the spinal column. The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters, the 22nd letter, Tav, means Light. There is much to be said about t his which we will deal with in other writings. At the top of Jacob’s Ladder stood Yahweh, the Light of the world. The light of the body is the eye (mind-brain), says Jesus. 22 is the Number of Light. If we lift up or raise the oil in the spinal cord, by the power of the seed, by saving it, it must be a physiological and chemical operation within the body of each of us. Such is the case. There is no mystery, no marvel in all the universe that is greater than man himself. “Man know thyself” confronts us, down through the ages, but only a few have paid attention to the voice of the Delphic oracle only a few have looked within. There is a wonderful “Strait and narrow way,” a real strait, not straight, which extends from the upper brain, the cerebrum, to the end of the spinal cord, otherwise named Jordan, in the Bible. We find that the meaning of this in Hebrew is, descender or “River of God. The “Strait and narrow way is, indeed, the River of God, for it leads to the Father the Most High the upper brain “The same is true of the manna that descended to feed the Children of Israel in the wilderness , for this manna is a substance which comes down the Spinal cord from the brain. The Hindus symbolized the spine as the stem of the sacred lotus;therefore the skull and contents are symbolized by the flower. The spinal column is Jacob’s ladder connecting heaven and earth, while its 33 segments are the 33 degrees of Freemasonary and the 33 the number of years in the life of the Christ. Up these segments the candidate ascends in consciousness to reach the temple of initiation located on the top of the mountain. It is in this domed room with a hole in the floor (Foramen Magnum) that the great mystery initiations are given.” — Manly P. Hall; The Occult Anatomy of Man ------------------------------------------------------------------- 33. Ordo Ab Chao Number 33 also relates to 3x3=9 which is the power of creation and the God of All or Truth. The Amon (AMEN). 33 is the numerical equivalent of AMEN: 1+13+5+14=33. Amen is the God of Truth. 33 represents Christ consciousness. Jesus was crucified at Golgotha (place of the skull) at age 33 in the year 33 A.D. God corresponds to 1/3 (33.3%) as seen in Revelation 12, where the great red dragon is sweeping 1/3 of the stars from heaven. The number of turns in a complete sequence of human DNA equals 33. Mount Hermon is at 33 degrees latitude and longitude. (In the Book of Enoch, Mount Hermon is the place where the Grigori; “Watchers, Sons of God or the Nephilim,” a class of fallen angels descended to Earth.) The divine name Elohim appears 33 times in the story of creation in the opening chapters of Genesis. The first Temple of Solomon stood for 33 years before being pillaged by King Shishak of Egypt. King David ruled over Israel for 33 years in Jerusalem. 33 is the alleged age that Alexander the Great (Alexander of Macedonia) had died. The Grand Orient de France of Freemasonry founded in 1733. 33 is the highest degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry. Harry S. Truman, a 33 degree Mason, became 33rd President of the United States. 1933, Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany. A normal human spine has 33 vertebrae. Rare human spines have 34 vertebrae. Jeremiah 33:3 - Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. MODALERT
"Moxabaschin" and therapy using the "golden needle"
Two of these additional treatment methods represent heat therapy. This means that they are mainly used for "cold" diseases caused by the body energies Peken (mucus) and Lung (wind). Below is a drawing that shows the main relationships of the spinal column with bodily energies and internal organs. These points can be used for diagnostic purposes (sensitivity and painful sensations when touching, convex, hollows, swelling, nodules, etc.) and treatment (during massage zones located at a width of one and a half toes along the sides). during the moxa-therapy order modalert directly on the uterus and, perhaps, also next to the vertebra). In the Tibetan system, the vertebrae are counted from the seventh cervical vertebra, but for the convenience of readers, we tried to adapt it to the Western anatomical theory. Cervical spine • 1st cervical vertebra = atlant = imbalances of energy Lung. • 5th and 6th cervical vertebrae = common points with Lung imbalance. • 7th cervical vertebra = common point with Lung imbalance (for example, with memory impairment, deafness, chills, neck stiffness).
Thoracic spine • 1st thoracic vertebra = common point with Tripa imbalance (Tripa diseases associated with Lung disturbance and / or with cold). • 2nd thoracic vertebrae = common point for Peken imbalance ("cold" Peken diseases, pain in the respiratory tract, pain in the heart, possible increases in Peken and Tripa energies). • 3rd and 4th thoracic vertebrae = upper and lower parts of the lungs (also points along the inner edge of the shoulder blade, lung diseases and certain eye diseases). • 5th thoracic vertebra = "life channel" (energy Lung as a whole; heart palpitations (racing); heart diseases; weakening memory; severe drowsiness; delirium; combined energy imbalance Peken / Lung). • 6th thoracic vertebra = heart (indications are the same as for the 5th thoracic vertebra). • 7th thoracic vertebra = diaphragm (eg blockade of diaphragm, if necessary, massage or cauterize with the next vertebra). • 8th thoracic vertebra = liver (general liver disease, rvota, acute pain in the liver, excess energy of Lung and Peken in the liver, etc.). • 9th thoracic vertebra = gallbladder (digestive disorders, gallstones, loss of appetite, decreased digestive heat, persistent headaches). • 10th thoracic vertebra = spleen (among other things, lack of sexual desire, constant need for sleep). • 11th thoracic vertebra = stomach (decreased digestive heat, gastritis, ulcers, diarrhea, stomach disease as a whole). 12th thoracic vertebra = "reproductive fluid reservoir" (ureteral tumors, general abdominal disorders, diarrhea, intestinal diseases, spermatorea with blood)
Lumbar spine • 1st lumbar vertebrae = kidneys ("cold" kidney diseases; cramps and pains in the abdomen, etc.). • 2nd lumbar vertebrae = common point of hollow and dense internal organs (common point of impact for cold Lung imbalances, general point for diseases in the area below the navel, common point for gallbladder diseases). • 3rd lumbar vertebra = large intestine (common point of action in cases of abnormalities of the large intestine, inflammation of the genitals, hemorrhoids, etc.). • 4th lumbar vertebra = small intestine (inflammation and general complaints associated with the small intestine, diarrhea, ulcers). • 5th lumbar vertebra = bladder (concrement in the bladder, frequent urination, oliguria (decrease in the volume of excreted urine), cold knees, etc.). • 1st sacral point = reproductive fluids (prostate, math, etc., spermatorrhoea, stiffness and paralysis of the lower coalescences, etc.). • 2nd sacral point (center of the sacrum) = "Gate of the wind" for the directed down wind (constipation, flatulence, diarrhea, etc.).
Practice of moxabaschin
In moxabaschen therapy (also called "moxibaschin" or simply "moxa"), tiny cones from dry wormwood are burned directly on the skin in certain reflexogenic points. This kind of thermotherapy can be carried out indirectly: with a needle, etc. Some cones are made from other plants with warming properties (for example, nutmeg). When the selected reflexogenic points are heated, the inflow of energy into them takes place. If the doctor uses a relatively thick needle, the front part of which is made of gold, this therapy is called the "golden needle" therapy. This additional method of external therapy is mainly used in the area of the anterior (frontal) fontanel on the head. In addition to other results, thanks to this, activation of the uppermost chakra is achieved. This method of treatment is prescribed for many mental illnesses, for example, with depression or melancholy. In addition, this is the point at which lower blood pressure, dizziness, dulling of the sense organs, hemiplegia (paralysis of the muscles of one side of the body) and, above all, all the lunches associated with the energies Lung (wind) and Peken (mucus) are treated. Therapy with the "golden needle" is often used as the first of all additional "hot" therapies (such as moxa-therapy, cans, hot salt compresses), since it gives a very favorable initial effect and therefore sometimes eliminates the need for others additional treatment procedures. Unlike this form of therapy, "moxa" -therapy can also be performed at all points known in acupuncture. In the works on Tibetan medicine 71 specific points are used for "moxa" -therapy, of which 20 are located on the front part of the trunk, 22 on the spinal column and back of the trunk, and 29 more in the arms and legs. According to another treatise ("The King of the Moon"), the points for "moxa" -1-therapy are much larger. In ancient times, Tibetan doctors sometimes burned wormwood cones directly on the skin, thereby creating a powerful stimulation of the organism, which needed to activate modalert the immunological processes for the healing of this specially inflicted wound. In the West, practices in naturopathy use more sparing methods of "moxa" -therapy. However, even in the West, the energy principles of Lung (wind), Tripa (bile) and Peken (mucus) should be found in the basis of this type of therapy. In accordance with the rules of Tibetan medicine, Artemisia, used in "moxa" therapy, should be collected in an environmentally clean place by an innocent child in white clothes during the phase of moon growth and under the guidance of a doctor. Then the grass is dried and cones (or wicks) curl up from it. The size of the cones depends on the points chosen for therapy. All points of the "moxa" -therapy, located on the spine or next to it, are cauterized using cones thick in the index finger (thickness at the base of the cone). For all other points, wormwood cones are used, the thickness of the base is equal to the thickness of the little finger. During the so-called "bloodletting" procedure at the same point, the moxa cone can be burned at the end of the procedure to clean the channels. This "cone" should have a flat shape and be the size of "one sheep's spoon". Usually "moxabaschen" is held six times. However, prichronic diseases can be treated for a longer time. "Moxa" -therapy can be used to treat most "cold" diseases. These include the imbalances of bodily energies Lung and Peken, as well as many canal diseases (arteries, veins, nerves, etc.), weak digestive heat, tumors, muscle tension, anemia ("pathological pallor") and all chronic disease. In addition, "moxa" -therapy is used for mental illnesses, for example in epilepsy, or in the formation of nodules and edema. Under no circumstances is this form of therapy performed directly on the senses (for example, in the eyes or in the ears). Other contraindications are all states of expiration of energy Tripa or blood disease. Special care is required in the application of "moxa" -therapy on the perineum (the point between the anus and the testicles or the vagina); some classical texts generally warn against holding "mok-sa" therapy in this zone. This point belongs to the so-called "vessel of being". It is considered to be the carrier of reproductive fluids, so the wrong treatment of this point can be a cause of infertility. Almost all points used in "moxa" -therapy, theoretically can be used as points of acupressure in the massage of reflexogenic zones. In addition, "moxa" -therapy is traditionally performed on four points or bodily zones, shown in Figure 34.
