Wrong Page//Ashton Irwin
According to my sister there’s a Japanese legend that says that when you can’t sleep it’s because you’re awake in someone else’s dream, I don’t know if I believe in this but what I do know is that it’s 5 am and I haven’t slept a wink all night. Pulling my Nike shorts on over my boxers that I was sleeping in, I grab my trainers sneaking out my front door and heading down the long road that my family home is situated on. I keep running focusing on my breathing allowing my mind to escape all the troubles of the day, I’m so distracted that I don’t noticed the blonde heading my way and we meet both our bodies cascading to the floor. “I’m so sorry” I offer her a hand up, which she accepts gratefully “it was my fault I wasn’t looking where I was-“ she stops mid sentence. My hazel eyes meet her emerald ones recognising them instantly “Y/N I haven’t seen you in so long”
“Ashton!” Surprise evident in her voice “how are you?” I take a moment to admire her curves, her short blonde hair resting perfectly on her shoulders “I’m well how have you been?” I scan her face taking in all the changes, the way her eyes crinkle when she smile now or how she smiles showing her now brace free teeth. “Good” she smiles brightly back. “You look good” I respond “do you want to get coffee? So we can catch up” I smile at her
“Sure I guess we have a lot to talk about”. We run together to our local coffee shop neither of us say anything, but we do spend this time observing one another’s new appearance’s everything’s that changed and everything that’s not. I hold open the glass door to the quiet, open most hours of the day cafè for her, she thanks me taking a small step in “god I don’t think I’ve been in here since-“ she doesn’t finish the sentence glancing round at the new decor “since our last 5am run” she nods admiring the red and white booths and the photos of 70’s and 80’s rockstars littering the walls. “Neither have I. Here’s hoping the coffee is still as good” I walk up to the larger man behind the counter ordering two coffees one with soya milk “you remember?” y/n raises an eyebrow at me “your avid hatred for cows milk, of course” she smiles sliding into the booth near the large glass window, watching as the birds totter about undisturbed as the rest of the world sleeps peacefully. “More than a hatred of milk. I’m now vegan” I nod raising my eyebrows “I tried that,it didn’t last very long though” I admit smiling as the hot drink is brought towards us “thank you” I smile at the waiter. I observe as Y/N takes a sip of her coffee making a note of all the differences, the way her hair is now short and no longer a uncontrollable mess of curls, but a well kept and maintain mess of curls “your teeth are so straight” I blurt out, she laughs thanking me “well worth the three years of braces” she smiles at me, that infectious smile that I first feel in love with. “Two years” she smiles sadly, closed lips, glancing down at the table. “I’m so sorry about all of that” I confess looking down at the shiny table. “Me too” I take a sip of my coffee.” Don’t be sorry” I rush to tell her, “it was all my fault. I had the addiction not you”
“I never should have left you in that state”
“I’m glad you did. You leaving me was the kick up the bum I needed to sort my shit out”
“But Ashton- I should have helped you” I take her hand in mine “you did” there’s a pause we both take multiple sips of our coffee, there’s so much to be said it’s a nightmare knowing where to start.
“I never stopped loving you” there’s a pause a the words leave her mouth “I know I told you I did, but I didn’t. I think about you all the time. Last Christmas when you were home I was going to go visit you, as I’d heard you got help. But then I saw you at the pub and you were drinking, it made me wonder how much has really changed” there’s another pause “whenever I come home it always seems as though nothings has changed, but then I see you and I don’t recognise you anymore and I realise just how much has and does change. Every time I come home my dogs a little greyer, my brother another year older and my mum a little slower. But you, you’re a whole new person”
“Same with you. You’re the constantly changing within the ever still. The storm amongst the calm. I love you for it” I tel her, taking another sip of my coffee. “I don’t know what it is, but something about 5am, coffee and you always seems to bring out the hidden truth in me” I smile at her.
“I’m really glad you’re doing okay” she takes a sip of her coffee
“Same here” we clink mugs.
“Can I ask you something?” Y/N nods finishing off her coffee. “Do you still love me?”
“Yes and no.” There’s a pause, I watch as she plays with her hair tucking it behind her ear. “Yes. I do still love you. I always will. You were the first person I ever feel for, that will always mean something to me even if it doesn’t you. I still love your smile, your hair and especially your laugh. But I need more than you. I am worth more then you. So no I don’t still love you. You hurt me more than anyone else I know, but you also showed me more love than I ever knew humanly possibly and for that I am grateful. You always put your addiction first, of course it was an addiction. You were reliant on it and that took a toll on you, me and eventually our relationship. So, to answer your question I love you but I’m not in love with you” there’s a small pause, as I glance down at my hands. In a timid voice I ask “Do you think you ever could be?” She sighs
“You’re not going to want to hear this, but you need to. No, I don’t think I could. We had our time, it’s been and gone. I’ve got a new boyfriend called Sam and he’s wonderful, I am in love with him. I think I’m going to marry him Ashton, I really do”
“That’s great” I say sarcastically
“You know how much I used to love Spider-Man, well Sam is my real life Spider-Man and you’ll find yourself someone to be Spider-Man for. I believe that truly. It’s just not me. “ She smiles at me, the lack of sleep written all over her face. “I understand. I just wish I hadn’t fucked us up badly”
“You didn’t I found love again and so will you. Us ending was a good thing we can now both go out there and find our soul mates” I nod not believing a single word of that “you’re my soul mate” I whisper under my breath. “I should head home, but it was great to see you Ashton.” I smile as she exits the dimly light cafè.
“You’ll never know how much you mean to me” I pull out the small diamond ring from my pocket placing it on the table and sighing heavily. “Two people couldn’t be more on the wrong page”
A/N: I’m sorry this is so bad it’s late and I haven’t written a full on Imagine in so long, but I’m trying to get back into it. I hope this is okay and you can follow it alright, thank you as always. I hope you like please let me know and requests are open (as always) if you have any suggestions.
I’ve been so stressed with school and everything so have been taking a break, but I’m back and I can’t wait to write some more for you all.

Sweet Evanescence
Tumblr media
Pairing: Y/N/Michael
Rating: PG-All
Request: Yes (Ish)
Words: 3.000+
Summary: Y/N is the fifth member of the band but after her tonsils removal operation she is too afraid to sing on stage so Michael, who also deeply fancies her, helps her out.
“Where’s Y/N?”
Luke was he first one to look up from his phone by the question coming from Calum, the confusion clear on his face expression and four eyes glanced towards Ashton.
“I haven’t seen her for at least half an hour when I think about it.” The curly haired lad stopped the air drumming he had been doing to the sound of All Time Low blasting in the loud speakers, live action coming from behind the backstage area.
“We’re going on stage in ten minutes, what’s going on?” Luke put his phone down on the coffee table confused and stood up from the couch.
“I think she was speaking with Michael earlier I don’t know about what. She seemed a bit off but she’s been doing that since her operation. It isn’t anything to worry about I would say, the doctor has said go for her now so it wouldn’t be a problem.”
Calum and Luke neither looked convinced by Ashton’s explanation, watching as he placed the drum sticks onto the coffee table as well and stood up from his wooden red chair.
“We might as well wait. Of course she’ll show up it’s not like she’s gonna bail on us. It’s the first time she’s going on stage for almost a month, I wouldn’t imagine her to bail out in the last second. That’s nothing like her.”
When thinking the situation through it made more sense to the pair of best friends, yet it didn’t wash off the curious and almost nervous expressions. This was their first night on the stage after a long break, it would be devastating to cancel once again.
“I think I’m gonna go find her.” Calum spoke and placed his phone on the coffee table. The backstage crew had already prepared their guitars and such, the only thing they would need was to swing the strap over their shoulders.
“What’s going on?” Michael suddenly came into the room, noticing the tension.
“Y/N is gone, is there a chance you have seen her? I mean, we’re going on stage in less than minutes I can hear the crowd constantly screaming our name.” Luke mentioned, eyes glancing towards the entrance to the stage.
“What do you mean she’s gone, I literally just spoke to her? She said she was fine and that she would be ready in a second.” Michael mumbled the last part to himself rather than the guys, looking over his shoulder towards the exit he had appeared from.
“She hasn’t showed up.” Ashton confirmed with a nod, Michael’s eyes widening and he was quick to turn around and head back where he had come from.
The crowd was insanely wild outside in the audience, he was sure they would be able to blow each other’s ears off. It was no shocker, they had been waiting for this for so long it was insane.
Opening the door to the dressing room he quietly leaned against the frame and watched you sit with your back facing him. You didn’t have to turn around to see who it was because you already knew.
“I-, I can’t go out there.”
Your voice was so soft he barely heard it over the loud crowd from next door. You sounded so vulnerable, so sad and depressed he felt all your emotions at once.
“Y/N.” He sighed ever so softly and removed himself from the door frame.
“We just talked about this. You said you were ready?”
“Yes but that was a big fat lie. I’m not ready for this, I’m not ready for anything I’m not even done with my medication yet!” You looked over at your shoulder for the first time revealing your red cheeks and puffy red eyes. It hurt Michael right in the chest to witness.
“But the doctor said go for it. He said that you would be able to sing again so what is scaring you so much?” He needed to give you comfort, he couldn’t just stand there and not do anything about it.
He headed towards the leather couch and carefully took a seat down. You were crumbled up with your chin resting on your knees but you loosened up by his presence.
“I’m scared that I will fail. I’m scared of everything Michael because if I don’t nail it tonight it means I have lost my singing voice forever and I can’t-, I don’t even want to have that thought but it constantly hunts me down.”
The words came out fast and clumsy, you could barely breathe. You had a pit in your stomach that hurt so much you wanted to take painkillers. But it couldn’t be cured, it was all because of your nervousness.
“We’ve been practicing the song so many times Y/N and you sounded amazing. There’s no way that you will fail on the stage tonight.” He could see your shaking hand so he grabbed it gently.
“Yes but that was on the piano Michael where you were the only one hearing it. We haven’t performed this song for months, it’s too ambitious and I just know from now that I can’t do it.” The last part was said in such a shaky voice you had to take a deep breath to calm down.
“Yes you can.” He disagreed, not in a tone that sounded annoyed or anything. He was only trying to encourage you in hope of pushing you over the edge of being nervous.
“You can do so much Y/N you have no idea! You have an amazing voice, you’re an amazing performer and there’s no doubt that you’re the fan favourite. Right now you’re just nervous because you’ve been so used to telling people that you can’t because of your surgery and now when it’s all over you feel like a part of yourself has been taken away from you.”
He moved you around on the couch so you weren’t sitting as crumbled as you did before. He loosened your arms and made your legs dangle down to the floor because it was the first step to pull yourself together.
“And yes Y/N that is in fact true.” You looked up at him with confused eyes, “You have lost a part of yourself, but it wasn’t something that was a benefit. Think about how powerful your voice will become now that your tonsils aren’t in the way! It’s the biggest benefit a singer can ever get.”
Your hand came up to touch your throat just by the mention, it was completely painless now unless you were eating something a little bit too harsh. You had been on yogurt diet since the surgery and it was last week you had started eating proper food again.
“I know you can do this and I also know that you know. You just have to find back the sparkle you’ve been hiding inside of yourself throughout all this crap you’ve been through. The Y/N before the surgery is still in there and she’s cheering for you to go back where you belong.”
His face nodded towards the exit door, hand still holding onto yours and he noticed you weren’t shaking as much as you had before.
“Right on the stage in front of the most amazing crowd.”
Michael was a good talker there was no doubt. He could see it in your eyes that his pep-talk was working but you were still holding yourself back.
Horrible images were flashing before your eyes, that everything would go terrible and that you would lose your voice in the end. It was the biggest fear of all time and you knew that you had to push yourself over the limit.
“But-,”
“No buts-,” He made motions with his arms as if he was ripping over a paper.
“This is your time to shine, use it! Don’t just blow the chance and say we will try again next month. We know you’re ready, I know you’re ready, you know you’re ready Y/N.”
You hesitantly looked up at him, your fingers fiddling with the hem of his flannel. You wanted to say something, it was lingering on your tongue but you didn’t know how to get it out.
“Let’s make a deal okay?” He shifted in his seat, “When we sing, you usually feel comfortable by looking at me. Just by looking at me is seems like all your problems are gone so just do that. If you ever feel nervous on stage just look at me because I will be right there next to you. Right when you need it and right there to make sure everything is going to be alright.”
“You promise that?” You almost whispered.
“I promise that.” He settled down with flashing you a smile.
It was an unsure nod that showed your confirmation to this and he was fast to stand up from the couch still with your hand in his. He lead you out of the room and towards the backstage area where you were giving a microphone, seeing the other guys with smiles and sighing in relief.
“We’re all ready!” Michael announced, giving your hand a gentle squeeze when feeling your eyes on him.
“Let’s fucking do this.”
It was like every single limp in your body was shaking once the dark navy blue lights were pointed on you. You almost feared you would collapse when going onto the stage, seeing the crowd on the first rows hollering by recognizing you.
You had a hard time describing your emotions because they were all so different.
You were nervous there was no doubt, you felt as if it was your first time on the stage ever. But you were also happy, feeling accomplished that you managed to walk out here without problems. It was the arenaline kicking up and it became worse when you heard the small chords from the piano.
Your eyes glanced towards Calum who was giving you an reassuring smile, nodding his heard for you to start.
“How can you see into my eyes, like open doors, leading you down into my core where I’ve become so numb …” Your voice was shaky at first and insecure but the applause along with Calum nodding his head in satisfaction encouraged you even more.
But that was when the confidence came. The music becoming louder and the others showing up, Luke with his guitar wrapped over his shoulder and Ashton starting to play behind the drum kit.
“Without a soul my spirit’s sleeping somewhere cold. Until you find it there and lead it back home.” By every word the confidence of yours grew wider and brighter, your voice becoming louder into the microphone but you were still confused because Michael wasn’t here yet.
“Wake me up!” Your eyes widened in surprise when he suddenly showed up from the stairs to your right, a microphone in his hand as well and on queue you continued the singing but were still left confused.
He was having a smile on his face it couldn’t compare to anything else. This was one of his favourite songs, he loved playing the guitar for it yet he had dropped it just to help you out.
It gave such a different vibe to the crowd, people were hollering and screaming along to the lyrics. It was such a common song in the band, you always heard it before soundcheck and before going on stage, when Luke was the one suggesting it there was no doubt it would be your intro song.
And with Michael suddenly being able to move around and jump excitedly without his guitar, it was such a different show apart from others. Not only was it the first one after a weeks of hiatus, it was almost magical.
The way he was looking at you was so adoring, there was such admiring you almost couldn’t stop blushing. He was doing this for you and that was probably the sweetest thing ever, it meant the world to you.
He knew exactly what he was doing because the more you looked at him the more you felt comfortable. You relaxed completely in your own self, the crowd was noisy in the background but what you were focusing the most on was him.
You didn’t even take notice of yourself hitting the notes, it happened automatically, there was nothing to be worried about. It all had gone to your head and finally it seemed to fall back into pieces once again.
When you came to the second verse you continued singing and you parted your ways. Michael heading towards the right side of the stage and walked down the stairs towards the crowd, walking through the crowd on the right alley.
You did the opposite and took the left turn, making sure not to trip down the stairs but also following his long and fast feet. This wasn’t a part of the choreography, you never really had one but this was what felt the best.
Fans were screaming loudly but still respected staying by their seats, pulling out phones to make sure they could record their closest moment to you and Michael as possible.
You glanced towards the stage just to make sure everything was okay, Luke jumping around excitedly while Calum had grabbed his bass and rocking it out. Ashton was so concentrated on doing his shit right that he barely had his eyes open, letting out every possibly energy he had in his body.
When you came to the end of the alley where the rows met you turned to your right and looked over at Michael right as the chorus started again and he smiled all over his face.
It was such an amazing feeling. You couldn’t describe it. The grin on his face was so affectionate, it made you blush all over your cheeks and you almost wanted to hit him in the arm because that wasn’t supposed to happen.
Your harmonies were perfect for this song it was a surprise you hadn’t taken notice of it before. Sure you had been playing it out on the piano many times but Michael always stayed lowkey when practicing with you.
Now, he could scream, yell and sing as much as he wanted. He was fully enjoying this one life opportunity and he really did, using all he could to make it sound as perfect as possible. His eyes were completely scrunched up and it was the cutest thing ever.
When you literally stood 30 minutes away from each other he took a deep breath and nodded his head impressed when you sang the last bit before the bridge, your heart pounding so loudly it was a full on rush.
This was probably the hardest part of the song but he was right there, nodding his head along and whispering the lyrics along with you. When you came to the last bit where you had to hold the tone for seconds you just focused on him everything else becoming blurry.
You were so insanely out of breath when you finally let go and the boys on the stage took the bridge part and the rapping, Calum doing the male voice while Luke pretended to be a light female soprano.
“I knew you could do it.” Michael yelled into your ear to make sure that you could hear, the fans were going so insane at this point it was hard to even hear your own voice when singing into the microphone.
You grinned lightly by his voice, heart fluttering by the way he was looking down at you and you linked your hands together, intertwining your fingers. At first he was a little bit surprised by the act but was also quick to relax into your touch, an award winning smile on his face.
It was time to go back to the stage as the bridge part was almost over and you gave Michael a small nod before you both headed back hand in hand, singing the chorus together.
The whole arena was almost moving so much you could feel the floor shake. Everyone was happy, everyone was excited and for once everyone was united once again.
This hiatus was over, you wouldn’t have to worry about your tonsil problems anymore and your voice was more powerful than ever. It was such a rush you could feel goosebumps form on your arms when you came back onto the stage, still hands linked together until the last bit.
He let go of you to let you have the last bit of shine, the lights becoming dark navy blue again and Luke playing the last long chord on the guitar.
“Bring me to life…” You sang out as loud as you possibly could, holding the last one in the word life and felt how your voice had never been as powerful as it was now.
You continued as far as you could, letting the whole crowd stand up in applause and with loud screams, jumping up and down their chairs in pure excitement of finally having you all back where you belonged.
Your heart was pounding so loudly you almost couldn’t believe it but it was probably the best feeling you had ever felt in you life. You weren’t sure if you would have survived this without Michael and when he came back to you, you smiled brightly in accomplish.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” He announced into the microphone, the stage lights going back to normal but still a bit dimmed.
“Welcome back. We’re 5 Seconds of Summer.”
Another huge applause resulted in Michael’s announcement, everyone smiling from top to toe and he proudly grabbed you and pulled you into his side, his heart beating so loudly in proud and secret love.

I don’t want to say I understand your struggles, as 5OSS regularly come near me, but I have no money so I can relate to not being able to go or get merch 😭😫
The money struggle it's the biggest one, it doesn't really matter of they're coming near you if you can't afford to go see them. I can't imagine having them come near me and not having the money to go. I would be wrecked. I have a 5sos jar where I put most of the change i get so if they do come I don't have to come up with a whole lot of money 😂😂.

Luke:
At first it wasn’t something he noticed. It was something he had done out of a small habit, trying to figure out the best way to sleep. He was gazing around the room like any other person would have done with so many thoughts and lack of chase to catch some sleep. Maybe it was because of the jetlag or maybe it was just because he was having too much going on at once but as his eyes focused on you it was like he found peace. To see the way you were breathing slowly, your chest heaving up and down soothed down his chest. The way you were fluttering your eyes spoiled dreams hidden behind. Deep down he couldn’t help but wish it was about him because in his mind he didn’t want to dream about anything else. He wasn’t even sure if it was healthy because when he was like this he could watch you forever. He always loved watched you doing stuff mainly because he knew you would always put a smile on his face. It amazed him because even in your sleeping state, you gave him all the feelings he needed. Comfort, love and peace at the same time.
Calum:
Usually he would have just woken you up but this time it was something different. He knew you had been up late, you were trying your utter best to fall asleep but with a constant cough it was hard to get everywhere. He knew that deep inside you felt sorry because you had kept him up but there wasn’t anything for revenge. He enjoyed watching you finally relax and that was what he did. Making sure the sheets were still covering your whole body to create warmth and silently watched you breathe carefully. He knew that he had to get up soon and take a shower because a new day was starting but he waited just a bit. It wasn’t often you had moments together but even if it meant you had to sleep he still wanted to use every second of it. When he was busy and you were out it was hard trying to find time together but even moments like these was appreciated. It was like when you just needed to be close to someone else and this was it. Knowing that you were safe by his side meant the world to him, to just watch you sleep and dream.
Michael:
Your cheeks were in a mix of red colors, it was the reason why he still kept hiding between the sheets. He knew the stomach was growling for food but watching you could take his time forever. He had your hair toyed between his fingers and with an elbow pressed in the mattress with his chin resting in his palm he sighed softly. Maybe it was because of the heat you were a little warmer than usual but he couldn’t help but smile at the way you were pouting ever so softly. It wasn’t often he did this but when he did he took in every aspect of you. The way your eyelashes were resting against your cheek, the way your hair was on a mess on the pillow but he couldn’t help but thinking that even because of that. You were still the most beautiful girl he had ever come across in his life. Even if you didn't want to believe it he couldn't help but thinking it the second you would sleep. There was just this peace over you that you carried both as awake and as a sleeper. He was amazed how someone could continue to look this amazing.
Ashton:
He was actually amazed he was the first one to wake up. What amazed him even more was the fact how large his hand was compared to your cheek. It was often he caressed your cheek but when doing it without you moving around and kissing surprised him. He knew he had large hands but he could basically cup the whole thing, it was like he was carrying his whole world. He wasn’t sure if you were still sleeping or just pretending because he had been caressing your cheek with his thumb for a while but he still continued to do it. He loved mornings like these where there was no stress and he could just look at you for an eternity. He always joked around with his favorite moments were when you were asleep. It was of course a joke hinting towards you either talked or scolded at him too much but he still enjoyed it so much. He could get the chance to kiss your forehead and just admire you from top to toe. It was quiet moments like these that he wanted to remember because not waking up to your face every day would always be the start of something bad.

Mr. & Mrs. Hood (Part 15 - Final Part)
Tumblr media
A/N: I know it took a while to write this fanfiction in total with the many months I spent with the updates but I always promised I would never cancel it, and I didn’t! It’s been amazing bringing back Wicked Games and I am so insanely satisfied with the result of Mr. & Mrs. Hood. Thanks for the likes, comments, reblogs, votes and recommendations. I love and appreciate you all very much!
Pairing: Y/N/Gangmember!Calum
Masterlist: Right here
Summary: The fairytale of trying to create a normal life between Y/N and Calum with marriage and pregnancy didn’t seem to stop them from going back into old habits of guns, drugs, and hunting down their old gang’s rival, Lance.
Mr. & Mrs. Hood on Wattpad
”Y/N if you continue to crush my hand like this it’s gonna end up breaking!” Luke commented in pain, watching his hand as it slowly became red after being held by you for fifteen minutes straight, his fingertips starting to become numb.
“Well if the pain continues like this your hand will be the last thing you will worry about!” You were quick to reply, face even redder than Luke’s hand and your breath completely uneven, “God this is even worse than getting shot in the shoulder and don’t get me started on how many times I’ve been through that.”
Silence fell upon the hospital room by the midwife looking down at you with questionable eyes, Luke’s jaw falling slightly by the bummer you had just spoiled. It wasn’t supposed to be said but with the pain you couldn’t hold any of it in, everything seemed to be loaded out at once.
“I think it must be the medication she’s been taking against the pain, I don’t really know…” He shrugged trying to save it, he could tell that the woman wasn’t convinced the slightest but at least he tried.
“Yeah okay well I’m gonna go find another nurse to give Y/N one last check, the pain seems to get worse and if my predictions are correct she’s almost ready to give birth.”
You faintly heard what she said and grabbed onto the laughing gas mask just to soothe out the pain. It was horrible, it couldn’t be compared to getting shut in the shoulder, in the knee or even right in your chest after a battle of endless fights.
There was no doubt Luke’s hand would be injured after this but it was your last bit of hope. He wasn’t really good at helping but just the fact that he was there seemed to be enough. He was handling your aggression very well, sometimes yelling back and it was quite the amusement for the hospital staff.
“I think if I have to go through one more contraction I’ll end up shitting her out. Can’t you take a look and check if her head is popping out already?” You moaned almost against your pillow, the drop in your hand wasn’t helping the slightest on the pain.
Luke’s eyes widened in surprise by your words confused whether or not to actually do it, still holding your hand but looking down towards the end of the bed unsure. You had been saying nonsense things since arriving at the hospital he assumed it was a mix of stress from the earlier events.
“But what if-,”
“I was just kidding.” You squeezed one eye open to look at him, so exhausted you couldn’t laugh but if you had the ability you would have done it. Just by seeing his reaction saved your pain away just for that one short second and he tensed less in his shoulders by your words.
“Good because I think Calum would be more preferable for that part.” He took a seat back at the chair and looked to see the frown on your face. It had been a while, almost an hour now but mixed up with the pain it felt like much more.
You sighed softly and fiddled with the sheets between your fingers. You hadn’t gotten a spinal yet in fear of something horrible happening and without Calum by your side you were left empty. Sure Luke did a very great job but it couldn’t compare to the fact that your husband was currently fighting for your survival.
“You’re thinking about them, aren’t you?” Luke softly said and forward on his chair to get a better look when you nodded your head slowly in agreement.
“You just have to remember one thing, now that Lance is out of the picture they are all weak. They don’t have anyone to turn into, they don’t have someone to follow their leads they basically fight for nothing and nobody. If they’re really stupid they will fight for him even in their deaths but with our power I doubt they have the courage to do so. We’ve won Y/N. We just need to get our prize before it actually feels like freedom.”
You listened closely to every single word he had to say. It wasn’t often that Luke had a smart side, he was usually questioned as the dumb one in the group but he had moments like these that were a blessing. He knew you so well it was the words that satisfied your ears. You had won.
“You sure they are alright?” You almost whispered, leaning forward because you could feel another contraction coming up.
“I promise you they will.” He smiled, offering his hand once again and ignoring the fact that you would literally be crushing it. You also tried your best not to break all bones but it was harsh because by every contraction it was getting worse.
“Would it be sounding weird if I said I’m not fully mentally prepared to this?” You said through breaths, squeezing your eyes shut and tried to block out the horrible pain, “Because I don’t think I’m prepared for this at all.”
“It’s totally understandable.” Luke responded with a warm smile, it was harsh seeing you go through the pain but it was something you couldn’t avoid. Once all of this would be over the pain would be gone completely, he had seen it during some all nighters watching Teen Mom. It was almost as if he was more prepared for this than you were and you were the one sooner than later becoming a mother.
It was a huge sigh of relief that came from your lips when it was finally over. You had no idea how many centimeters you were but it didn’t matter because you were so close to push it out already, you could survive with a few stitches afterwards.
Luke stood up from his chair to go take a look out of the window. It was night, you had assumed it was close to be morning because the sun was slowly creeping up from the horizon. It was warm, almost hitting you in the face but you still couldn’t focus on the beautiful orange colors because it took less than minutes before another contraction hit you.
“Oh my, that looks painful.” The nurse commented the second she showed up from the door. You were ready to comment something sarcastically but Luke stopped you by giving you a short glance. Your temper was really tested by all of this.
“You should try it out.” You mumbled below your breath when she walked towards the end of the bed to take a look, she was most probably the one the midwife had called out for help. If she would tell you that you were only two centimeters you wouldn’t hesitate to force Luke to grab a gun and blow her head off.
“Trust me I have.” She spoke and still kept the smile on her face, “Mother of five.”
“I think I suddenly gained all my respect for you.” You almost bit down on your arm and breathed heavily, hearing her faintly chuckle and do the rest of her checkup. You could feel Luke laugh beside you as well but you didn’t say any further, trying to stabilize your breathing.
“Well looks like you’re already ten centimeters. We’re gonna have to call in your midwife again and sooner than later you will have a baby Y/N.”
“What?” You removed your hand away from your face and looked at her with wide eyes, “I can-, I can’t give birth yet my husband isn’t here!”
“I’m sorry but the baby can’t wait.” She apologized half-jokingly, she could tell that it was pretty much affecting you but that was the way of natural birth.
“Why the fuck did she have to get my stubborn attitude already oh my god.” You fell back onto the pillow completely defeated, a sad expression coming to her face.
“I don’t want to give birth before husband is here… I can’t do this without Calum.”
You looked over at Luke with almost water in your eyes, you hadn’t mentally prepared yourself for this and without Calum it was ten times worse. You couldn’t do this, you had been waiting nine months with Calum by your side and to be by the end of it without him was not how it was supposed to be.
“I’ll try to call him okay.” Luke said and stood up from his chair with his phone in his hand, looking over at the nurse just for a small confirmation. She nodded her head in agreement most probably not wanting to start a huge argument with you.
You couldn’t really focus, it was so insanely harsh that all you could do was close your eyes and try not to push. You literally forced your legs together to make sure nothing would happen but truth was, you could feel it coming and it wouldn’t be long before you would lose your strength to hold everything in.
“They don’t pick up. Neither could I imagine that because what they’re going through is highly difficult to just stop all of the sudden and pick up a phone call.” Luke said the last part more quietly towards you just to not add suspicion to the nurse and you almost wanted to groan out loud.
“Well whether your husband is here or not the baby can’t wait Y/N, I’m gonna have you to spread your legs and push as much as you can okay.” She rolled her chair towards the end of the bed and made your eyes go huge, looking over at Luke in hope of him just doing anything.
“But I can’t-,”
The sudden sound of the door blasting open and so many walking in at once made your eyes go huge and stopping yourself in the middle of the sentence, watching as Calum was the first one in the mob and hurried towards the other side of your hospital bed.
“I’m here I’m fucking here!” He breathed and almost knocked down the chair in process of taking a seat, his hand wrapping around yours.
“What is going on?” The nurse asked almost in panic by the many people inside of the small area, not to mention that they were still covered up in blood. Calum’s lip seemed a bit broken as blood was leaking from it while Alex had gotten a black eye. The others seemed to had gotten through it easily but they still had stains of blood.
“We just arrived from a Halloween carnival that’s why we’re late!” Jack was the one to speak up on everyone’s behalf, Mitchell looking at him oddly by the sudden announcement.
“Really?” Stefan mumbled below his breath and almost wanted to roll his eyes but it seemed to be enough for the nurse. She was most probably already stressed out because of the heartbeat of the baby and now it looked like the entire cast of Reservoir Dogs had showed up in the rather small hospital room.
“Okay I don’t care who you are and how you are related to the baby but I can only allow the father and the mother to be inside. The rest of you can stay in the waiting room but for the sake of the rest of the hospital I’d prefer if you changed your costumes into something else.”
The nurse was speaking fast to let it all out at once and pointed towards the door to show her seriousness. They all hurried outside with good luck wishes coming from their mouths, Luke being the last one to leave and also gave you a thumbs up in the process.
“Okay I don’t know what that was all about.” She commented the second silence fell upon the room besides your constant breathings, “But we have to focus on this now. On the next contraction I’m gonna have you to push as much as you can.”
You nodded your head in agreement and looked over at Calum with what could possibly be the biggest smile on your face. Sure he had been beaten up a little bit and the blood was stained on his shirt but he was here and that was what mattered the most.
What you had feared the most came to reality. But it wasn’t as bad as you had thought it would be. The contraction was the worst, pushing it all out felt like the most satisfying feeling ever. Sure, you had to use all the strength possible to push but it was the best blessing ever when it was suddenly over.
“The head is out Y/N you’re doing amazing.” The nurse commented and helped you along with pulling it out, “When the next contraction you’ll become parents.”
You looked up at Calum completely out of breath, hair tousled to the front part of your face and your forehead so sweaty it was unbelievable. But he thought you were the most beautiful human he had ever seen and he nodded his head encouraging for you to push once you were ready.
It was probably the most beautiful moment of your life. It felt as if it took ages once you started pushing again but once your baby was out, the pain was gone. Everything was completely gone and you were overwhelmed by the feeling of love.
“Congratulations it’s a girl.” The nurse smiled in welcome and placed her on top of your chest, Calum looking down at her ever so carefully with the most adoring smile on his face.
“Do we have a name?” She questioned and dried her off with towels, a small whine coming from your baby in reaction and you looked up at Calum in pure surprise. For nine months you had been caring her yet she had never felt as real as she did right now.
“Not yet.” You explained while rubbing your thumb over her head after they had removed the blood, finding a warm towel to wrap around her and let Calum proudly cut the umbilical cord. It was such a magical moment if you thought about it, you probably wouldn’t think it was real. But it was the most human feeling you had ever experienced in a while.
“I was actually thinking of something.” Calum suddenly said, grabbing your attention from your little baby girl and you looked up at him with half wide eyes.
“I know it might be cliché and that it’s not something we have been taking about but… I just thought it would be appropriate because she has always been the last bit of hope we’ve been carrying onto.”
By the pressure of Hope, he smiled softly down at you expecting what he was hinting at and you looked down at her just to see if it matched. He was right, utterly completely typically Calum right and to be honest you wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Hope Mali-Joy Hood?” You asked just to give it a bit warmer and also adding his sister and mom in a combination to the name. The reaction was pure, he was almost blushing by your suggestion and nodded his head in agreement.
“Sounds like the most amazing name our daughter could ever get.” He gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead and stood up from his chair to write it on the blackboard right next to the pink pacifier that was hanging in honor of her.
You couldn’t stop smiling you almost felt as if your cheeks were starting to hurt. It was like you had become this whole new person and maybe that was what you really needed in life. A new beginning, something to look after every single day and reminding you why it was worth waking up in the first place.
“Is it over?” You questioned, he already knew what you were hinting at.
“It’s over. Some died some survived. Some decided to run while others decided to pair up with us and work in the future. We don’t know what’s ahead of us but one thing’s for sure. We have each other.” He took a seat down on the bed next to you and swung an arm around your shoulder.
You could stay in this position forever. Just rocking back slowly and forward looking down at Hope with such happiness in your eyes. She looked like Calum there was no doubt but if you looked closely there was a few features coming from you.
“I will give you some time alone. Once again, congratulations on your baby.” The nurse said and started to back away, confusion written on her face once again when she met all the boys walking in through the door with various baby toys in their hands.
“We decided to attack the gift shop while we were waiting.” Michael explained and placed a toy right next to you on the nightstand and took a look down at your baby girl.
“Oh my god Y/N she has your nose.”
You couldn’t control the laughter by his comment and watched him take a seat by the end of your feet to allow the others to look. Stefan and Mitchell were the last one to walk closer with a bouquet of flowers in both their hands, they looked so insanely proud. You had never expected this moment would come.
“We’re proud of you little sister.” Stefan smiled and gave you a gentle kiss on the cheek.
“You sure as hell are the most badass one in the family.” Mitchell agreed and caressed Hope’s cheek, it was almost as if everything that had happened the past month was unreal.
Never had you expected in your life that any of your relatives would have to meet your baby. You had settled down with Calum’s being the one to the rescue as he had gotten plenty, you were fine by that. But truth was to have the best uncles she could ever find made your stomach flutter with butterflies because it meant you wouldn’t be so alone after all.
“We actually have a question for you.” Ashton announced, leaning his arms on top of the rack of the bed.
“What’s up?” You questioned and for once looked away from your baby, smiling gently.
Ashton looked around at the guys almost as if he was becoming nervous and you shifted carefully in your seat. She had been pretty quiet throughout the whole time only a little bit fuzzy when getting clothes on but that was okay. You were just getting used to this.
“After all of this the boys and I-, All the boys.” He nodded his head around to everyone in the room, “We’ve decided that we’re all gonna team up. We’ve had our complications and conflicts but in the end we know that we’re stronger together. We don’t have to fear Lance anymore, he is finally away for good.”
You nodded you head carefully listening to every word he had to say. You couldn’t point out what the question was but you could tell it was something special by the way they were smiling at you.
“And with a team comes a leader,” Mitchell chirped in and wrapped an arm around Ashton, you could tell what was going to happen now.
“We want you to be our leader Y/N.”
It was a huge smile that came to your face, bigger than it already could be. The feeling going through your body was indescribable, it was as if your heart had been half throughout your entire life and suddenly it felt back into pieces. You had everyone around you that you loved so much and more to come. You couldn’t picture a perfect moment like this until actually living it.
“No.”
You were shaking your head in disagreement but still giggled feeling how you were ready to tear up. As expected they scrunched up their noses and furrowed their eyebrows confused to you declining because they had expected you to say yes.
“I know that you all expected a yes but that’s not what’s best for us now. I know that I know you all mutually and that I would do my job great but I think someone deserves it much more than I do.” You explained and looked over at Luke with a wide smile, the sudden attention making his cheeks turn red.
“I think Luke should be our leader.”
It was a huge scoff that came from Michael partly joking and partly in disagreement but when he saw the seriousness in your eyes he looked at it differently. You wouldn’t just say this for fun without actually meaning it with good argumentations behind it.
“Only if he wants of course.” You added and shrugged your shoulder, looking over at the blond haired boy who looked around pretty confused but that was when he flashed a smile as well, nodding his head in agreement.
“I’d really love that.” He was shy, he was clumsy and sometimes he fooled around ruining plans but in the end, he was only of the only sources of happiness in the gang. He was always there, he would break a foot or two and that was a part of being the amazingly Luke Hemmings. Now, former leader of the 5SOS gang.
“To Luke then.” Ashton said excitedly and gave out bottles of water that seemed to be the only thing served around the hospital, raising his bottle in the air with everyone else repeating his sentence.
“And as former leader I’d like to say from now on, I won’t be sharing bedrooms with Michael Clifford anymore.” Luke grinned and stood up from his chair to swing an arm around his blond haired best friend.
“I think you will definitely regret that.” Michael laughed and messily ran his hand through Luke’s curls, grinning lightly by the reaction and eyes fell upon you again.
“Well gang mama here will definitely go on a well maternity.” You mumbled, looking down at Hope and fell Calum’s lips press against your forehead.
“I think Mr. Hood will join you on that. I don’t think I’ll need to shoot someone’s head off for the next many months.” He smiled, feeling how everyone around you were standing with the exact same happy expressions, the feeling of closure was finally here.
“I can’t believe it.” You almost whispered, feeling how a tear was pressing out from your eye and you were quick to remove it from your cheek.
“Mrs. Hood, are you crying?” Michael laughed.
“No, I’ve just got something in my eye.” You mumbled trying to distract them from what was actually going on, you had never cried in front of them but when you thought about it. They had to see that at some point and today you couldn’t hold any of it in.
“I just can’t believe it.” You repeated feeling a few more tears come and Calum removed them gently with his thumb. The others almost had to hold in tears again because they were thinking the exact same thing as you.
“I can’t believe that we finally won.”
