Hi! This is the official blog of Ittuatuq, a series of weird Inuit getting tangled up in weird Inuit scenarios, written by a weird Inuk author! Ittuatuq is a mature story featuring violence, sex, and alcohol, so 18+ only!

There is currently no official place to read this story. As of the time of writing this, I only really plan to have a few short mini stories published onto AO3, Toyhouse, and on here, with a ton of crazy ramblings. For now, this is just a blog where I can keep everything in a neat place for easy access, and also questions if anyone has them!

September 20, 2022

Today started off already feeling longer than other days. I only got about 6 hours of sleep due to having soccer the night prior late at night and my classes start a little earlier on Tuesday's. I wouldn't say the sleep I got was satisfying either, so it just did not start off well.

I was in class for about 4.5 hours today with photography, intern prep, and design and its discontents. I really like photography and it happens to be my longest course so in some ways it's a lot of fun to be there. Most of my classes feel worthwhile, but sometimes they get dragged out longer than necessary, especially photography. I consumed about 5% of my cameras storage with photos I took for the class and other things to just mess around and pass time. I also spent some time working in Lightroom and Photoshop, so I think I'm saying that the time used was for learning a skill - or at least improving on a skill.

My commute is shorter since I sleep over at my girlfriends on Tuesdays, but I ran into a shooting scene while driving through Minneapolis today. It slowed my commute down, ultimately taking me 55 mins to get to class in the morning. The moped I drive has great gas mileage so it only consumes about a fifth of a gallon when driving to and from campus.

I had to add a gallon of gas to my moped so I spent around $3.77 but luckily that was all the monetary spending for the day.

I spent about 5h 52m on my phone with most of that being social media through YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter. Social media took up about 90% of my screen usage.

Consumption Day 2 (9/9/22)

My phone consumption today was a bit higher, because I don’t have any scheduled classes on Fridays. I have my ad agency job in the morning, but it only lasts 1.5 hours so it doesn’t take up much of my day. I also had to help out with headshots for one of our clients, which took up some time but also influenced the apps that I used today, which you can see in the results below:

Social Media

Instagram: 27m

I used Instagram in my free time, as well as liked my job’s welcome back post.

Reddit: 20m

I browsed the recommended page in my spare time.

TikTok: 17m

I watched my “For You” page while waiting for people to come and take their headshots.

I watched another episode of Succession and I’m really enjoying the show so far (see image below).

I watched some informational videos on YouTube this morning.

I listened to music on my way to take our client’s headshots.

Utilities

I used Maps to locate the office of our client in order to take the headshots.

DoorDash: 13m

I ordered lunch on DoorDash Pickup on my way back from taking the headshots, because I was really hungry and didn’t want to wait to cook food after working for a while.

Camera: 3m

I used my phone camera to test the lighting while waiting for people to show up for their headshots.

(By Sten Hugo Hiller - 627184) Mountain Climbing Mecha Combat #1423 Brought to you by ANN Highlighting the August 3367 Nifty The Gaming Authorities decided to hold an event for the 40 ton Nifthels this time, -on the eight highest tops they would be the only legal model. On K9 they instead had an event with no restrictions whatsoever. I admit having a soft spot for the Nifthels. They were the first single Mech formation I was succesfull with, and they helped me hold my own as a 40 ton specialist for decades. Fully upgraded they have room for dual Cockpits, Chasis and Shields, in addition to a quartet of Engines. They also have a decent Freeze, solid Slow and deliver nearly 50% additional damage using Ice weapons. The last time they had seen action was back in May `52, where we ended up playing second fiddle to my clan-mate Able Hunter, so some serious updating of the armament was required before we set out for the mountains. A couple hours before the scramble were to begin we signed in on K4, and were shown a spot out on the plains. About half of the formations present had Nifthels on point, but the tonnages indicated few of them had full formations. It also seemed at least some held the mistaken belief that we were allowed to use one non-Nifthel, a clear case of not reading the current rules of engagement. A few succesfull strikes saw us advance to the slopes against neglible opposition, but claiming the top was another matter. It was held by Larry Tsang of "Raging Vengeance" and the first trio of strikes were turned back with ridicilous ease. His licence was a bit higher than mine, just enough to give his Nifthels room for one more weapon mount than ours. On the other hand, he had brought what looked like a Novum to the top, so we had one more Nifthel present. Back in the hangar some additional changes to the armament took place, and when we returned Tsang`s forces were finally dethroned. Now all we had to do was wait for him, -or someone else, to strike back and topple us. To avoid gnawing my nails down to the elbows while worrying, time was spent setting up recording equipment to cover the action on all the tops. But the expected counterattacks failed to materilize, so when the light flashed we still held the top. Total Contestants: 160 Total medals claimed: 122 (of 135 possible) Compared to the previous (Warg) event, another couple of Commanders were present. But the imbalances between the tops resulted in a bakers dozen of unclaimed Bronzes from a trio of tops. The last half-hour saw four Golds changing hands at least once, two of them not decided untill less than a minute before the light flashed. The other five Golds were all held for at least two hours. So we had many strong winners, but perhaps the fight for the lesser prizes were closer? To find out, we count the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event: .............Silvers......Bronzes Div 1 ....1 of 4.........4 of 10 Div 2 ....2 of 4.........3 of 4 Div 3 ....1 of 4.........2 of 10 Div 4 ....2 of 4.........6 of 10 Div 5 ....2 of 4.........3 of 4 Div 6 ....3 of 4.........7 of 9 Div 7 ....0 of 4.........4 of 10 Div 8 ....3 of 4.........8 of 10 Div 9 ....4 of 4.......10 of 10 The only top bereft of succesfull medal attacks this time was K9. At the other side of the coin, Mount Olympus, K3 and K7 were freewheeling meelees where most of the medals found fresh holders. A total of eighteen Silvers(50%) and thirty Bronzes(39%) changed hands, while the turnover for the Golds were 44%. Today and Tomorrow showed muscles by being the only clan to claim a double Gold. They won on K5 and K6. None of the unaligned Commanders managed to claim a Gold, but we had two repeat winners: Claude Poirier from Winters Coming on Mount Olympus as well as Today and Tommorrow`s Eman Eliforp on K5. Upcoming event: Limited Tonnage Here we get an event where the total tonnage a Commander is allowed to bring to the mountains depends on what top they are fighting on. On the lowest top, K9, the limit is a whooping 445 tons, -much more than the lowest ranked can possibly fit into their formations. Then it increases by 135 tons for each higher top, until those fighting on Mount Olympus are alowed a measly 1525 tons, -less than a third of their maximum tonnage. MY SCREEN TIME

After collecting other young adults screen time and analysing how much they use their phones,I thought I would go into more detail by looking at my own screen time. I have gathered screen shots of my screen time for a whole week looking at how long I have spent on my phone, how many times I have picked up my phone and what sort of thing I am doing on my phone daily.

Monday,26 October

Looking at Monday, I was on my phone for a total of 5h 28m. 2h 7m of time was spent on social networking. I personally think spending 5h and 28m on my phone in one day is a lot. I am shocked as I didn’t think I was on my phone that much. I unlocked my phone 205 times that day. That is a lot of pick ups in one day and I didn’t even realise I was picking up my phone that much. Looking at the most used that day, it states that I am spending most of my time on the social media app ‘snapchat’.

Tuesday, 27 October

On Tuesday I was on my phone less by spending 4h 38m, however, that is still a lot of time spent on my phone. Again most time on my phone was spent on social networking. Again snapchat was my most used app. Also looking at the apps I frequently use it is clear that I tend to use my phone for music daily. Tuesday I picked up my phone less compared to Monday with a total of a 190 pick ups.

Wednesday,28 October

Wednesday I was on my phone a lot less compared to the pervious days. I was on my phone for 3h 54m with most of that time spent again on social networking. Again snapchat is the app I have used most that day. I picked up my phone 186 times which is slightly less compared to the pervious days. Notice how the first time I usually pick up my phone is around midnight, which suggests I am using my phone rather than sleeping.

Thursday,29 October

Thursday the hours I spent on my phone has increased and I spent 5h 52m on my phone that day. 3h 3m of that time was spent on social media. Again notice how my most use apps are similar everyday, which shows that everyday I am doing the same things on my phone. I spent longer on my phone this day, but the amount of pickups went down to 157. Again first pick up was after midnight.

Friday,30 October

Friday I was on my phone for 5h 4m and only spent 1h 34m of that time on social networking. Again most used app was snapchat which shows this is my preferred social networking app. Again used my phone for music. I used my phone for entrainment this day by watching YouTube. Pick ups went up to 194 compared to pervious day. Again notice how my first pick was after midnight.

Saturday,31 October

Saturday screen time went down to 4h 3m. Spent most of my time on snapchat and safari that day. 1h 55m of social networking that day. Pickups went down to 137 and first pickup again was after midnight.

Sunday,1 November

Sunday I was on my phone for 4h 1m. 2h 5m of that time was spent on social media. Again using the same sort of apps everyday. Total of 151 pickups and first pickup is again after midnight.

Weekly Average

Looking at my weekly average I have been on my phone on an average of 4h 43m. I have spent in total 14h 30m on social networking throughout the week. Total screen time this week is 33h 2m which is more than one whole day. I think spending 33h on your phone per a week is way too much. Also I had no idea that I am roughly on my phone for 4h 43m daily.

Notice how the data I have collected for each day is fairly similar. I use the same sorts of apps daily and spend roughly the same amount of time on my phone. One thing I have picked up on is that I usually have my first pick up after midnight which shows that I have habits and patterns when using my phone that I subconsciously was unaware of.
