sled shape 2010_05_11_0089 rsz by Jim Via Flickr: This is the cropped selection of the photograph adjacent of a sighting of a UAP / UFO in the night sky of Australia captured by a canon EOS 5D Mark ll about 2 km away in the western sky. Look at it. - is in profile heading from left to right in this image. I see about 5 crew here. No "FLYING SAUCER" shape here... When it comes to "REAL" scientific research, one has to have a open mind as who knows what may be found, really. - I don't even bother to share most of my speculation until I have more evidence that is... Like the 5 different entities that are regularly captured in my photos... All been around a lot longer than human.

Yuta and Rika dispelling curses with the power of music. :D
I think Yuta would be a pretty flashy keyboardist not on purpose but probably because he's a virtuoso and just can't help but do crazy shit.
His gear are: Arturia Keylab 49 mk II, Nord electro 5D. I forgot what the amp was but I think it was a Roland. Rika is playing a Hohner melodica.

Macro and the Olympus OM D E5 Mk II
My latest blog is Macro and the Olympus OM D E5 Mk II.
Hello again, and welcome to this, the latest edition of my occasional blog. In recent editions, I’ve looked at images shot with my remarkable 18-year-old Canon EOS 5D – more of which will follow in the coming weeks. But today, I’m showcasing three macro photos shot on my Olympus OM D E5 MkII, in my view, a future classic snapper that, in common with many Olympus cameras (recently, the company has…

I just received some great news. I entered a half dozen images in the recent “Hawaii Waves” Exhibition by https://www.artfarm.productions (https://www.artfarm.productions/) and I actually somehow placed the highest with my picture; Foam Elephants.   This comes as a surprise because there are A LOT of photographers and painters in Hawaii who love the waves, so I figured there would be very stiff competition. Also one of my images of Luke Shepperton surfing at this year’s Eddie Aikau contest managed to place quite high as well.   The exhibition of all the imagery opens on March 20th. I’ll mention the details as they are passed on to me by the crew at Art Farm.   These are my two highly placed images; Foam Elephants.  I photographed this one quite by chance one morning while wandering along the Log Cabin shoreline, here on Oahu.  I just saw this little sidewinder foamy thing running sideways along the beach and instinctively raised my camera, in the chance that something cool might just happen. The result was what looks like a stampede of little foam elephants or perhaps rhinos.  Ultimately, I love to capture really unusual waves.  This was definitely one of those.  Very stoked that the judges all agreed on the uniqueness of this one. Equipment used:  Canon 5D MK II camera, Tokina 11-17mm fisheye zoom lens Camera Settings:  2000th of a second at f7.1 and 400 ISO Huge Step.  During the recent Eddie Aikau Invitational surf contest at Waimea Bay, I happened to shoot this amazing moment of the eventual event winner; Luke Sheppardson at the top of this huge wave.  I called this picture; “Huge Step”. Equipment used: Canon 5DsR with Canon f2.8 300mm & 1.4 x teleconverter Camera Settings: 2500th of a second at f13, 100ASA

Hollow Morning Fog by Kevin M. Smith
Via Flickr:
Morning fog in Conkle's Hollow Conkle's Hollow, Hocking County, Ohio Taken on September 20th, 2022 Finally, after waiting all Summer for a weekend where rain wasn't predicted, my mother booked two nights for my dad and I in Logan. It's been a year and a half or so since Dad and I have been to Hocking Hills. Every time we arrive I get a rush of nostalgia. Hiking through these hills helps to take off the edge from work. It's when we go to a place of relative silence and talk to each other about good memories, life, and God. This morning was our last morning for this trip, and I saw that fog had covered the region overnight. I knew that as the sun rose it would cause the fog to disappear and so I was a little nervous it would be gone by the time we got to Conkle's Hollow. But I was pleasantly reminded of how well this gorge holds fog. Dad and I worked our way up the slope to the East and made it to the usual overlook. The fog was still a bit too thick and so we waited. As we sat there we could hear the droplets from the morning dew plop onto leaves on their way to the ground. Soon, the fog thinned some and I could get to work. I've been hoping to fully switch over to my Canon 5D Mk II in place of my T5i, but this was a job for the T5i since the telephoto lens could keep the vegetation out of frame whereas the lenses for the 5D could not. The cliff was still almost in silhouette, and it reminded me of when I visited the Hollow alone on my birthday. This time, I could share the experience with my father. It's moments like these that matter most to us as the years go by.

Op ED: The Canon EOS R5 Will Be What The 5D Series Was to DSLRs
Are you as excited as we are about the Canon EOS R5?
The Canon EOS R5 is shaping up to probably be one of the greatest cameras Canon has released in a very long time.
The Canon EOS R5 is one of, if not the most highly anticipated camera of 2020. We’ve been wowed with the specs Canon has disclosed so far, and we’ve drooled over the EOS R5 images that Canon has released. As a fan of photography, it is hard not to get excited about Canon’s new pro…
