ooooh hope your craving hasn't faded too much by now, this is later than you probably anticipated! i had a bit of trouble narrowing it down, frankly, since i can't imagine a world where wwx and wen ning co-exist and AREN'T friends - i tried to focus more on fics where their friendship was front and center, but the best i can say is that a half-hearted attempt was made 😅

This video piece is a self-portrait of the artists experience as an African American woman in the United States. According to sources, “The work directly criticizes white feminist and racism prevalent within the art world.” Being a black woman is a unique experience because white women face sexism and black men face racism but the black women is the only person who experiences both.

Session 65  (Date: 15th June 2019)

Summary

- Wealday, 3rd Pharast in the year 815 (Second Era). Spring.

- The party begin this session, finally arriving at Castle Naerytar on canoes, around the midnight hour. Ahead they see multiple light sources from many campfires and torches, from both the castle and apparently a village located in front of the castle.

- The party stop paddling their canoes and wait whilst Nac uses the spy glass to look ahead, his eyes becoming more accustomed to the dark.

- A village, situated at the base of the castle, comprised of either roughly made dome shaped huts made of woven reeds and covered with mud and grass, or taller U-shaped huts made of bent wood and thatched reeds. To one side is a wooden fenced pen, holding giant lizards with saddles upon them. A dug out shallow bay has some canoes stationed upon it. A black moat surrounds the castle with a stone causeway spanning it from a forward barbican. Some of the windows of the castle are lit and a purple flag with the sigil of the Cult Of The Dragon Queen can be seen flying from castle. One of the castle towers is topped with a rusted metal dome. Blue and green figures can be seen around the village and on the barbican.

- The party have to quickly hide in bushes and reeds whilst a lizardfolk patrol on canoes paddles around the large island. Sir Krondor and Gim grow tried of waiting for the party to come up with a plan and instead decide to go alone to charge towards the fenced area to capture and ride some of the lizard mounts. Their attempt ends in failure, with Gim and Sir Krondor finding themselves surrounded by Lizardfolk warriors.

- Before any combat starts, the rest of the party arrive, with Trenchant starting tense negotiations. The party manage to convince the Lizardfolk leader, Snapjaw and one of his senior advisors, to talk to the party. They learn that the village is composed of Lizardfolk on one side, and Bullywugs on the other. The castle, which is controlled by the Cult, is manly guarded by the Bullywugs with the Lizardfolk delegated to simple labour duties. There is a strong dislike between the three factions and the party manage to convince Snapjaw not to stop the party, and if fighting starts, the Lizardfolk will attack the Bullywugs but will not attack or move against the Cult in anyway.

- The party sneak towards the stone causeway that spans the black moat, quietly moving through the low bushes near the black water.

- With a coordinated attack, the lone Bullywug guard standing at one end of the stone causeway is silently killed by multiple arrows and bolts. The party position one of the wooden canoes to span the black moat like a bridge, to avoid the crocodiles, and move over to the over side. Naillae, Gim and Sir Krondor climb up the castle wall to get to the stone causeway but no one else can manage the climb. Naillae begins tying a rope to the causeway, whilst Gim stands guarding the nearby open wooden castle entry doors, and Sir Krondor keeps watch for the guards at the other end of the causeway. Labaret is climbing up the wall, not wishing to wait for the rope.

- Sir Krondor sees one of the guards on patrol at the other end walk past and look directly at him, so the Dwarf Knight bolts directly toward him, with Gim soon following throwing a hand axe. Two Bullywug guards start to move back towards a war drum to sound an alarm but Sir Krondor, Gim and Labarett manage to catch up and kill both of the guards before they can sound the warning.

- The rest of the party climb up the rope, whilst the dead bodies of the Bullywugs are thrown off the causeway into the black moat. Crocodiles snap at the bodies and begin to feast. The party sneak through the open wooden castle doors. The doors appear very damaged and in bad condition. A metal portcullis is just behind the doors but is raised up. The party sneak forward, with Varis leading to a corner to look into an inner courtyard where a group of Lizardfolk and Bullywugs are arguing with each other in broken Common about not doing assigned chores and being lazy.

- Gim speaks in Draconic, which only the Lizardfolk understand, to tell them that Snapjaw has ordered that the time has come for the Lizardfolk to raise against the Bullywugs. The party rush out and only attack the Bullywugs. The Lizardfolk, weary and cautious with weapons drawn, do not attack the party but also do not come to the aid of the Bullywugs. They state they will leave the castle and speak to Snapjaw themselves, not willing to fully trust the party, but before leaving tell the party where the other Lizardfolk are located in the Castle.

- Varis uses his Primeval Awareness, to detect where any humanoids are, which also include Lizardfolk and Bullywugs. Using this, and the information the Lizardfolk gave them, the party proceed to move any remaining Lizardfolk out of the Castle, to join up with Snapjaw, and start clearing out rooms of Bullywugs.

- Whilst the party is dealing with the aftermath of one such battle with a group of Bullywugs, Varis moves up to one of the inner lit windows and looks through to see a male figure in a red robe and a shaved tattooed head, standing in what appears to be a bedroom. The Red Wizard of Thay sees Varis through the window and he immediately bolts through an internal door out of view.

- Varis moves back to where the rest of the party are and informs them what happened. Cursing Varis, they realise that must be the Archmage Azbara Jos. They decide to rush after him before he can raise the alarm and they quickly race down a narrow gap into a dark inner courtyard but are suddenly attacked by three Guard Drakes that leap at them from the darkness.

- The party have to stop to deal with this threat, giving Azbara Jos more time to flee. Trenchant yells at Naillae to open the lit window and chase after the Archmage so they don’t lose him and she does so.

- Eventually the party kill the Guard Drakes and race forward into the dark narrow inner courtyard. They stop and see another open door and the burnt body of Naillae laying motionless on the ground next to the door. Before they can move to check Naillae, three glowing orbs of fire are hurled at the party but luckily all three hit the stone walls of the castle and explode.

- Another battle starts between the party and s small force of the Cult. A black Half Dragon Officer Of Cult leads three Dragonfangs and one Dragonwing. These are the elite enforcers of the Cult. The party soon find themselves heavily injured and under duress. The battle rages on, with the party pulling out all stops. Labarett manages to reach Naillae and stops her bleeding to death via a spell. Tenchant takes control of one of the Dragonfangs via magic and Nac calls forth a raging storm of Spirit Guardians around the courtyard.

- Eventually, the Cult forces are dispatched but now more time has past for Azbara Jos to flee and Naillae now longer tracks his path. He could be anywhere.

- The party stand breathing hard, with Trenchant, Varis and Gim badly injured and Naillae laying unconscious and near death on the ground. Flames lick around some the near by walls.

- Varis, blood coming down his face, looks around at the party and the scene, “There goes our surprise. Everyone in the castle would have heard that battle.”

<And as the party catch their breath, standing within the confines of an enemy castle now aware of their presence, that is the end of the session.>

This is one of the three images that I chose to look at, that was made by Alejandro. I picked out the ship as one of the examples, due to the design of the ship is very different from what we see in the movies, for example the shaping of the ship and the camouflage/painting design of the ship is completely different from the ships we see in the Dune films. In the 2021 dune film the ship is shaped like a dragonfly and has no paint on the ship. Also what makes this design interesting is the the colour of the paint and the decals on the ship. It is similar to a poisonous dart frog’s colour, which probably has no meaning to the ship, but Alejandro probably wanted his ship design to stand out and look cool.

Here is a character drawing of two Atreides men, Leto (The leader of House Atreides) and Idaho (A very skilled fighter from the house of Atreides). Back in the 1950′s space was something new to everyone and lots op people didn’t know much about it, therefore the design of clothing we see looks quirky and very 80′s space like. In the 2021 dune film, we see a very big difference in the armour and clothes. The uniforms remind me of the Empire uniforms that the commanders wear, and the armour that we see from the desert people is sort of inspired by the modern military uniform.

this sketch here shows you the two different families, house Atreides and house of Harkonnen. These two families are the ones that set the story on its journey through the power struggle and betrayal of the Emperor, the sketches of these people are very different to the actual look of what we see now in the dune movie, again this is probably because of the same reasonings as the Leto drawings (the year at which they were designed, and first astronaughts go to space, aliens, etc).

I chose this as an example as it allows you to see the two sides of the families, showing what designs of humanoid or aliens that Jodorowsky thought would look good for each role. some of the designs look more fantasy than sci-fi as well, for example Reverend mother. She has a staff that looks like it came straight out of Lord of the rings.

Here is a snippet of Jodorowsky‘s storyboard for the dune film, here you can see that it is set up like an old comic and the art style is also very similar to one you would see in an old comic. The colours used are what makes the storyboard very clear and easy to understand, for example the first five boxes are painted with yellows and oranges, suggesting that they are on the planet Dune, and the other 6-12 are set in space, thanks to the black sky and small dots of white to represent stars. If I was to look at the storyboard and it didn't have colour I wouldn’t be able to tell what was going on exactly, therefore the colours help aid the storyboards understanding, especially since there's no description. Overall I think the storyboard is suttle, but detailed, therefore it is easy to understand, but I do think that there needs to be some sort of description, for example slide 13, I have no idea what’s going on in that part of the story.

A new plan hatches in Wei Wuxian’s head. If this nocturnal, bottom-feeding, slimy, invasive mudcat posing as a beautiful actor thinks he can sway Wei Wuxian with animal pictures and a sob story and an unbelievably stilted way of texting with still no dick pictures in the first five minutes of conversation, he has another thing coming. Wei Wuxian’s got it, alright, he has this in the fucking bag.

Summary

- Oathday, 4rd Pharast in the year 815 (Second Era). Spring.

- The party begin this session, in the hours just after midnight, still in Castle Naerytar having just killed with a group of Cultists last session.

- Knowing that the sound of battle would have alerted the occupants of the castle, the party quickly spring into action. The unconscious and badly burnt body of Naillae is somewhat healed by Nac, allowing her to walk but still somewhat dizzy and confused, having nearly died.

- As the party rush over to the near by long hall, they see a large plume of glowing smoke raising into air from the front of the castle.

- Trenchant looks at the smoke and says, “I think our Lizardfolk friends are attacking the Bullywugs outside. I wonder who is winning.”

- Varis is the last to enter the long hall, as he had quickly searched the near by inner tower. As he enters he hears a loud clanking of chain and then a sharp bang of metal on stone from outside. The Ranger enters the long hall and shuts the door behind him as he hears the sound of a large number of approaching foot steps, “I think someone has closed the portcullis, we’re stuck in now.”

- “Could be worse,” replies Trenchant.

- “And I heard patrols walking around the courtyard,” added Varis.

- “It’s worse,” snapped Nac. “Get those doors locked now, we’re need time to heal up!”

- The party quickly search the bodies of the dead Cultists in the long hall and find a key, allowing them to lock both doors into the room, before the they hear the sound of a large patrol walking outside and trying the now locked doors.

- The party listen and wait for the patrol to move on before continuing to search the long hall. A large amount of coins and gems are located. Apparently the Cult was using this hall to assess, record and temporarily store the stolen treasure into plainly made labelled chests. A ledger on a table shows the Cult has accumulated a very large treasure hoard, enough to buy a small kingdom. But the hoard is not here in this room.

- The party rest up for a short time, allowing Nac to cast a Prayer Of Healing. Naillae, feeling better now, tells the party what she saw earlier. She had entered the small inner tower, finding it empty but then heard the voice of Azbara Jos outside saying, “Quickly Rezmir, the castle is breached by unknown forces. We can not afford to let our plans or your Black Dragon mask be captured. To the portal!” Naillae heard running footsteps outside and she quickly looked outside to see the Archmage Azbara running away, holding a large full sack. Next to him ran a large black Half Dragon, large black tail waving, wearing purple robes. A black great sword strapped to their back and a Black Dragon mask strapped to his belt. That must have been Rezmir The Black Wyrmspeaker of the Cult of the Dragon Queen.

- When Naillae moved out of the tower to follow them, she was struck by two fire orbs hurled at her and she was knocked to the ground unconscious and badly burnt.

- A side door is examined and within is found a sleeping Halfling cook in a small kitchen warmed by a stove. The cook wakes up when Trenchant attempts to sneak over. The cook’s name is Tharn and he is a friendly fellow. He is a slave, captured by the Cult and forced to serve them. He is happy to help the party in any way and does give them some information about the ground level of the castle.

- Varis uses he Primal Awareness to check on the many moving patrols in the castle and if there are any Bullywugs in the inner courtyard, and finding it clear, the party decide to head out. Labarett, Nac, Varis and his animal companion Shadow head out via one door, and Gim heads out via the other. Sir Krondor and Naillae wait inside the long hall.

- Gim walks outside into the inner courtyard and is surprised to see that the dozen dead bodies of the Bullywugs the party killed previously are now standing and shuffling about as Zombies.  Surprised Gim exclaims softly.

- A shaved head of a Red Wizard of Thay leans out from a lit second story window and looks at Gim, “Kill him.” The zombie Bullywugs begin to shuffle towards Gim.

- Gim sees the face and recognises it. Long ago, at the ruins known as the Old Owl Well, the party encountered a Red Wizard of Thay called Kost. Kost and his twelve zombies were digging out the ruins looking for something. At that time, the Cult had not launched their war, and the party were not aware of what the Red Wizards were up too, so they had not attacked Kost but instead spoke to him in a friendly manner.

- Gim quickly calls out, “Kost! It’s me! Remember, the Old Owl Well. We spoke and you told us where to find the Orcs Lair.”

- Kost narrows his eyes and smiles, “Oh yes. I remember. So it’s you again.” Without losing the cold smile, Kost says in a loud voice, “Kill him.” Then Kost disappears out of view, moving away from the window.

- The Bullywugs move to attack Gim. The others, Labarett, Nac, Varis and Shadow have now rounded the inner tower and arrived at the other side of the inner courtyard. The zombie Bullywugs are easy to dispatch but harder to keep down but eventually the party manage to dispatch them all, just as a patrol of twelve Bullywugs run into view, hurling spears at the party. The party turn to face this new threat and quickly dispatch the foes easily.

- The party quickly decide what to do, knowing that more patrols are searching the castle. They decide to enter one of the closed doors in the inner court yard. As the door is opened half a dozen arrows shoot outwards from the waiting Elite Cult Enforcers within, one Dragonclaw and four Dragonwings.

- This fight turns out to be more deadly than the previous ones. The Cult Enforcers attack the party without mercy and are relentless. Naillae climbs up to the second story window where Kost had been, but has to quickly jump back down to avoid being struck by an orb of electricity that flies out, smashing the window into pieces.

- The party are trying to force their way into the building, when four more Enforcers, Dragonsouls, appear. One begins hurling orbs of electricity down at the party from the second story window and one appears at the top of some inner stairs.

- The battle is proving deadly. Soon Naillae is dropped to the ground, unconscious and bleeding to death. She is soon followed by Varis and Sir Krondor, both dying on the ground. Varis’s animal companion, Shadow, is cut down and killed instantly by the Enforcers.

- Still the party pushes on, killing the Enforcers one by one. Nac is moving about, healing and reviving the downed party members and bringing them back into battle. Gim is struck by one of the orbs of electricity and is badly injured but this also charges his Bracers Of Thunder that he then uses to blast three of the Enforcers back, badly injuring them.

- Another Enforcer drops to the ground, asleep thanks to a spell from Trenchant, after he gave up trying to control them via his Crown Of Thorns spell as the fanatical Enforcers are too mentally strong to control.

- With the party very badly injured, Varis kills the last Enforcer with an arrow to their throat. The battle was won but only just, with the party nearly defeated.

- Rushing inside the building the party quickly shut and bar the door before another patrol finds them. Varis casts a spell of Healing to aid the party whilst they catch their breath from the battle. The room, apparently a chapel of Tiamat, is searched and an elaborate dagger is found hidden within a stone statue of Tiamat.

- Trenchant uses his lute to make himself Invisible via magic, and then moves up the stairs, to see what awaits. He stops moving forward when he can hear the faint sound of someone breathing in a room beyond, possibly Kost, as he has not revealed himself again. Trenchant goes back down to inform the party.

<And as the party decide what to do, in the dangerous and relentless Castle of the Cult, that is the end of the session.>

'कोरोना संक्रमण में मेडिकल और आयुष किट बन रही रामबाण'

लखनऊ। कोरोना की वैश्विक महामारी में संक्रमितों के उपचार में मेडिकल और आयुष किट रामबाण साबित हो रही है। एलोपैथ से लेकर आयुर्वेद, होम्योपैथ और यूनानी औषधियां होम आइसोलेट संक्रमितों को नि:शुल्क दी जा रही हैं।

स्वास्थ्य विभाग की ओर से होम आइसोलेट और क्वारंटीन 90 फीसदी से अधिक संक्रमितों को मेडिकल किट दिया जा रहा है। जबकि आयुष विभाग की ओर से 13 अप्रैल से छह मई तक 25 दिनों में नौ लाख 18 हजार 577 लोगों को निशुल्क आयुष किट दी गई है।

मुख्यमंत्री योगी ने हाल ही में आयुष विभाग को निर्देशित किया था कि कोरोना संक्रमितों के उपचार के लिए नि:शुल्क मेडिकल किट के अलावा आयुष किट भी दी जाए।

13 अप्रैल से सात मई तक नौ लाख 18 हजार 577 लोगों को नि:शुल्क किट दी गई है। इसमें 75572 लोगों को आयुष किट, 58,339 लोगों को आयुष काढ़ा, सात लाख 82 हजार 793 लोगों को होम्योपैथी औषधि, 5450 लोगों को यूनानी किट और 6565 लोगों को यूनानी जोशांदा दी गई है। अपर मुख्य सचिव आयुष प्रशांत त्रिवेदी ने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री योगी के निर्देश पर विभाग की ओर से लगातार होम आइसोलेशन में रहे रहे लोगों को किट का वितरण निशुल्क किया जा रहा है, इन दवाओं के सेवन से बड़ी संख्या में लोग घर पर ही उपचार कर स्वस्थ हो रहे हैं। इसके अलावा लोगों को इम्यूनिटी बूस्ट करने के योग आदि के टिप्स भी दिए जा रहे हैं।

आयुष विभाग की ओर से पिछले तीन दिनों में 1,52,159 होम आइसोलेटेड और क्वारंटीन लोगों को नि:शुल्क किट दिया गया है। सात मई को 9526 लोगों को आयुर्वेदिक, 39,985 लोगों को होम्योपैथिक और 597 लोगों को यूनानी औषधियां दी गई हैं, यानि एक दिन में कुल 50,108 लोगों को निशुल्क औषधियां दी गई हैं। ऐसे ही छह मई को 47,359 और आठ मई को 54692 लोगों को औषधियां दी गई हैं।

अगर सिर्फ पिछले माह अप्रैल की बात करें, तो आयुष विभाग की ओर से सात लाख 23 हजार 190 लोगों को औषधियां दी गई हैं। इसमें 91,692 संक्रमितों को आयुर्वेदिक, 6,28,300 संक्रमितों को होम्योपैथिक और 3198 संक्रमितों को यूनानी दवाइयां दी गई हैं। महज दो दिनों तीन और चार मई को 55,579 संक्रमितों को दवाइयां दी गई हैं। इसमें 6848 आयुष किट, 7644 आयुष काढ़ा, 45904 होम्योपैथी औषधि, 959 यूनानी किट और 1820 यूनानी जोशांदा दी गई है।

आयुर्वेद सेवाएं के निदेशक प्रो. एसएन सिंह कहते हैं कि आयुष विभाग की ओर से दिए जा रहे किट संक्रमण को रोकने में सौ फीसदी कारगर हैं। ऐसा अभी तक कोई मामला संज्ञान में नहीं आया है, जिन्हें दवाएं खाने के बाद भी गंभीर स्थिति हुई हो। होम आइसोलेशन में रह रहे लोगों को 10 से 15 दिनों में आराम मिल जा रहा है। इसके अलावा लोगों को योग में अनुलोम, विलोम और प्राणायम के लिए ��ी प्रेरित किया जा रहा है। किट में आयुष काढ़ा, संशमनी वटी, आयुष 64, अगस्तहरितकी और अणुतैल दिया जा रहा है।

आयुष विभाग के आयुष कवच ऐप के माध्यम से सुबह आठ बजे से योगाभ्यास और शाम पांच बजे से आयुष संवाद जल्द शुरू होने वाला है। इसमें कोरोना संक्रमण से बचाव, रोकथाम और औषधियों के बारे में जानकारी दी जाएगी। इसके अलावा आयुष विभाग के 20 विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों के पैनल से भी ऐप के माध्यम से सवाल किया जा सकता है, जिसका जवाब विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सक देंगे। आयुष ऐप को 20 लाख से ज्यादा लोगों ने डाउनलोड किया है और सुविधाओं का लाभ उठा रहे हैं।
