Day 28: Cosplay Pet Peeve For some reason I lose all motivation to work on stuff when people come home like around dinner time when everyone is home and just doing their own thing I have zero motivation to go back to sewing until the ungodly hour of late-o'clock. I hate it and I hate that I'm most productive at night because I normally go to sleep early and get nothing done when I have all day to work on stuff. So I guess my pet peeve is not having motivation when I could really make good use of it. Day 27: New Technique It isn't that new but it it has changed the way I use zippers. If you didn't know (which I didn't) when you sew a zipper generally you are supposed to baste the seam closed then baste the zipper in place, sew the zipper on then swam rip the original seam open and it should be straight and wonderful. It saves me so much time and looks so much cleaner. Day 18: Skills Learned Cosplay has taught me so many things but the most important skill is essentially that one person can do anything. Day 26: WIP Wednesday We are officially more than halfway done with this challenge folks and despite that I'm not nearly done with my cosplays for ctcon 😅 But I did get some stuff done this week. I made the scaly 'armor' for Haru and did the first coat of plastidip. Here's to hoping I don't need to many more because I don't think it likes me. Day 23: Dream Cosplay Sorry for the spam and late night posts but with this I'll be caught up. My new dream cosplays (since I Will be completing Madoka this summer) are now Suzaku Kururuig's Knight of Zero outfit and at least one of Luna's dresses from ffxv. The whole time I was watching the walkthroughs and movies I kept noticing the tiny details and trying to figure out how I would go about making her dress and props if I could. Day 39: Cosplay Senpai I look up to a lot of cosplayers since I'm always looking for new techniques to learn but the cosplayers I've followed since I first started cosplay has to be @cowbuttcrunchies. Ever since I started with my first homestuck cosplay I read through all their sewing, wig styling, and miscellaneous tutorials which saved me a lot of headaches and time when trying new things. Secondly, I love watching their cosplay progress and chatting during twitch streams a while ago. Lastly, they started a Patreon where they post all kinds of tutorials and all the donations they get go towards cat shelters. Day 38: Cosplans For the rest of the summer and then some my goals are to finally finally finally complete Madoka Kaname since I've been neglecting her for years and enough is enough. So I'll make her magical girl outfit and if all works out her bow too since I need to get better at making props with the cosplays so I have something to pose with. After I finish Madoka I'm either gonna make Noctis' jacket and sword or move on to Deku. Guess what time it is??? Time to return to the #50maniccosdays !!! So without further ado . Day 30: Costest- since I don't normally leave time to do costests while making a cosplay here is a throwback to Sailor Scout Keith pre-completion. Day 31: "No Effort" Cosplay- this is about as no effort as it gets with the Kigu and wig for cat!Suzaku. Day 32: Original Cosplay- I haven't really done any original cosplays but I did partake in a Kingdom Hearts/Life is Strange au so I hope that counts. Day 33: WIP Wednesday- since I just got back from ctcon I haven't started anything new yet so have a throwback to pre-AAC when I was making my gauntlets. Day 21: Cosplay Storage I sort of have a system. All weird wigs hats and props unable to squish go on top of my bookcase and everything else gets its own hanger in my closet.
