Robert Frank

Frank’s work exposed the American reality from the prospective of an outsider. His photography discussed many mid-century realties in a way most people from thee US never considered before. He’s also most well known for his book ‘The Americans’.

Todd Hido is an American photographer based in the San Francisco area. Born in 1968, he has been a working photographer for decades. Hido has had countless solo shows and his work is in the permanent collections of museums such as The Getty, The Guggenheim, and The Whitney. Mostly fine art, Hido’s work typically focuses around suburbia. His most notable line of work is called “House Hunting” which is a large collection of houses at night with glowing windows. Hido’s images are emotional and transformative.

Thomas Heaton holds a close second in my opinion.  He is able to capture stunning settings that never fail to hold amazing compositions.  Everything from his close-ups for what you see here is fantastic in every frame of setting.  Just like Ansel Adams, I cannot recommend Heaton’s work enough.
