Treat

You worked at a small cafe in town. Nothing too interesting, just a local mom and pop type shop. It was a regular Monday morning shift. Serving the typical annoying customers. Until A very tired looking man, and what looked like his daughter walked in. He had to turn his head up quite a bit to see you. You smiled at him from the other side of the counter before he spoke.

“My sister wanted a doughnut for breakfast on her birthday.” He motion to Abby, standing next to him.

“And i guess I’ll take a black coffee.” You could hear the tiredness in his voice.

You rung everything up, as he opened his wallet, pulling out a 10$ bill. You look at him, then down at his sister and back up again.

“Nah, don’t worry about it.” You say, waving his hand back.

“Y-you sure?” He replies, a bit up-hauled at your kind gesture.

“Yeah its no problem, its her birthday, I don’t mind.” You smile, taking Mike’s order from a co-worker and handing it to him. He seemed to have a genuine smile on his face as he walked out, holding his litter sisters hand.

This Kind gesture led to him coming around to your work a lot more, just to see you, if your schedules allowed. He would often try and get to see you around your break time. Sitting against the back wall of the cafe and taking about anything and everything either. His eyes seemed to shine when he looked up at you, it always seemed to make you smile. These hang outs at work led to you eventually giving him your number. You two would text a lot before he left for work at 12 am. It really seemed like he enjoyed talking to you.

Soon enough you were being invited over often. Abby loved that you would often bring donuts or cookies with you. And Mike seemed to feel comfortable around you in his home. Sometimes you’d lay your arm across the top of the couch, and he would lean his head against it, his curly hair tickling your arm, until you’d eventually wrap your arm around his shoulders. This seemed to unlock his love of touch. Whenever you were over since then, he would always want to have an arm of yours wrapped around him. Or he loved the fact that you were tall enough to hug him from behind and rest your chin on his head, or shoulders.

oof okay. I’m putting it below a cut and putting some tw as well because I gotta be clear: they’re both super fucked up people, and their relationship is 100% toxic. like they both need to speak to a psychiatrist and a judge. but also we do love them.

• Artemis is from the School of the Cat, and she hasn’t even been a decade on the path when she meets Anisette. She’s very avoidant about her age but shes roughly 25 (note: this is occurring when Stygga is still operating)

• Anisette is a much older, well-established sorceress. She’s also very financially well-off and powerful, and appears to be some form of former nobility

• Artemis is 5’8 and lithe - she honestly looks quite small for a Witcher. She has the characteristic eyes and short blonde hair which she keeps messily cropped at shoulder length. She has quite defined and fine features and would probably actually be considered quite stereotypically attractive if not for the Witcher thing and her abysmal self-image

• Anisette is 6 foot and girl has some muscle on her (she uses this to wind up Artemis literally all the time - poor Art literally has to stand on her tip toes to argue). She has dark hair she keeps in a pixie cut, and she’s out butch queen most the time. She also has no problem ripping out the Met Gala level gown if she needs to flex on people though, one of her fave activities

• They meet when Anisette is being a fucking creep (as per usual) and decides to stalk the Witcher she’s seen who’s taken a contact in a local swamp. Ani is fascinated because she’s never seen a woman Witcher and she’s nosey as all hell. She literally waits till she knows Artemis is out there just vibing and then she sets a camp fire and waits for the girl to come find her in the dark so she can be dramatic and ominous

• Artemis is genuinely quite freaked out by Anisette when they first meet and she doesn’t actually click she’s a sorceress - she’s pretty sure she’s some monster she can’t place who’s 100% trying to eat her. That also doesn’t stop her from poking at the situation and getting drawn into conversation, bc she’s also a stupid baby and weak for pretty women

• Anisette at first is like okay, I’m satisfied, well. And then she really gets Artemis chatting and she goes from winding up this little Witcher that’s she’s going to murder her in a dark swamp to being like. Oh okay I see, I’m keeping this one. Do you need a permit to keep a Witcher.

• Anisette wanting to keep Artemis becomes a really obsessive thing for her. The more she learns about Artemis over time and their meetings, the more she’s convinced that’s totally an okay thing to do because 1) she has the power to do it and 2) she’s saving her! she just doesn’t understand that yet

• Artemis is understandably freaked out the first time Anisette makes this plan known. She tries to argue her way out of it a few times - nobody wants a Witcher in their house, points out that Cats are dangerous and prone to episodes, threatens away, etc

• One point when Anisette brings it up and is getting more aggressive about the idea, Artemis has a Normal One and tries to slit her own throat because she doesn’t want to be taken alive. The sorceress is not having that and she rips Art a new one - it’s pretty nasty too.

• Anisette manages over time to draw more and more about her life out of Artemis, and it’s very clearly sad and depressing. The girl clearly has incredible issues around the Grasses, and reveals that she tried to make a suicide attempt shortly after them by cutting her wrists (Anisette says some really nasty things about this too). It’s clear that Artemis also has some really bad internalised misogyny about being one of the only women Witchers out, on top of a range of other self-esteem and image issues. She’s very blasé about death and very clear that she thinks that a Witchers purpose is basically to die.

• Artemis also mentions that post-trials she had a very close relationship with one of the Schools mages (Sabrine) and that she feels she wouldn’t have made it through without her. This is one of the only things that Anisette is never able to get her to elaborate on, and has some pretty strong suspicions. Artemis is extremely defensive and very very loyal to the woman whenever she’s mentioned.

• Anisette is incredibly manipulative. She really has no problem finding out how to get people around her to do what she wants. Artemis is a lot more easily manipulated than she thinks as well. It’s really easy for Ani to give her constant positive reinforcement and show genuine attention to her that she finds near impossible to ignore, but Ani also has no problems ripping her up verbally sometimes and making her panic as well.

• Anisette is really clearly a bad person, and Artemis seems more normal next to her, but the more time you spend around Artemis the more clear it is that she is also…really not that great. Her moral code really is whatever she feels at that point in time. She is incredibly capable of being vicious, and her fuse isn’t short but once she gets angry, things get scary very fast. She also very clearly doesn’t really see the inherent value of life.

• They are so toxic but the thing is. They are obsessed with each other. Anisette is openly very obsessive and possessive, whereas Artemis will flick between affection and cold, but would literally lose her shit if Ani looked at anyone else or if anyone was getting a little too close to her. It’s a really fucked up love, but it is genuine at its core.

• They threaten each other violently all the time, but neither actually have the inclination to carry through actually harming or god forbid actually killing each other. Anisette is fairly sadistic, whereas Artemis is definitely falling into the sadomasochism category, so if they did get physical, it would 100% be a sexual thing because. They’re freaks.

• Artemis thinks Anisette is 100% joking about wanting to keep a collar on her (she really isn’t).

Headcanons Under the Cut: (all pre-relationship)

They’ve been best friends since they were toddlers.

They were very close in elementary school, somewhat drifted apart in middle school, and got very close again in high school.

Gideon has liked Hope since early middle school. Hope started liking him in late middle school/ early high school.

Since Gideon is a year older, they don’t have many classes together, but they meet up in the library at lunch. 

Gideon is a mathlete, and Hope is on the school dance team. They try to go to each other’s events after school.

Since they’re both socially inept, they like to hang out in places where there aren't a lot of people. Their favorite spots are: The roof of Mr. Gold’s pawn shop, the clock tower in the library, and the beach on stormy days.

Hope loves talking to Gideon about her hyperfixations, and Gideon loves listening to her.

Hope calls Gideon “Croc,” “Love,” and “Handsome Hero.” Gideon calls Hope “Cygnet,” “Princess,” and “Dearest.”

Gideon has chronic nightmares from his time as the Black Fairy’s puppet, and Hope is happy to distract him when he doesn’t want to bother his mom.

They both leave their windows unlocked at night, and are constantly sneaking into each other’s rooms after nightmares/ anxiety.

Hope doesn’t have any magic, and Gideon fears his own magic. They like to complain about these problems together.

Hope got them those tacky best friend heart necklaces for Gideon’s birthday. Both claim it was a joke, but they rarely take them off.

Gideon is 5’8, and Hope is 5’3, so he picks her up a lot. Mainly to convince her not to do stupid things.

Hope has tried to date a few people before realizing she had it bad for Gideon (including Robyn, but that’s another post) nothing ever worked out longer than a few weeks, and a few were Not Great relationships. Since Gideon is the Dark One’s son, a lot of kids his age either fear him or bully him relentlessly. So not great in the dating department.

Gideon never put much thought into his sexual orientation, but he knows he likes both girls and guys. Hope knew she was asexual pretty early on. She figured out that she was demiromantic later through Alex Boyd, Storybrooke’s resident queer helper-outer. 

Since the whole…thing with Gideon’s dad being mortal enemies with Hope’s dad, and Gideon almost killing Hope’s mom or whatever, Gideon always assumes that Killian and Emma hate him, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Emma, Killian, and Belle all look forward to the day when Hope and Gideon finally get together. (Rumple cheated and looked into the future so he knows that they do lol)

just a list of my headcanons: Lloyd has slight memory problems, Kai is still scared of water, Zane can turn off if he sneezes too hard, Kai, Cole and Lloyd have horrible coping mechanisms, Cole can speak a confusing amount of languages, including Finnish and Zulu. Zane’s dad originally programmed him to speak Portuguese, Nya and Kai are fluent in Norweigan, Jay is Puerto Rican, Lloyd is British and fluent in Russian. Lloyd has pointy ears, claws, slit pupils, small fangs and scales. in season 1 the scales were only around his claws at the base of his fingernails/claws, but at the end of season 16 they’re extremely visible and all over him. Lloyd also has a tail that he normally hides. Cole wears contacts but is embarrassed about them and nobody, not even his dad, knows about them. Jay has an allergy to scales, which I’ll explain in another post

Transformation of the Day: Taiye lost 112 pounds by focusing on fitness and nutrition. After being diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney disease and knowing that she was at risk for stroke due to high blood pressure, she hired a personal trainer and took steps to reclaim her health.

What was your motivation? My health was my biggest motivation. I was only 36 and diagnosed with stage 3 (almost 4) chronic kidney disease. Also, my blood pressure was out of control. The likelihood of me having a stroke and starting dialysis was really high. I was way to young for that. 

What inspired you to keep going, even during the tough times? I decided to take my life back, and I knew I couldn’t do it on my own. I need guidance and help. I hired my personal trainer, Shaun from Fit4healthplus, who provided me with a plan I followed that included nutritional guidance. 

How did you change your eating habits? When I started working with him, he put me on a 30-day meal plan to detox my body with healthy food choices. The plan allowed me to create the meals I wanted. At the same time, it was teaching me how to make healthy food choices. After 30 days, I created good eating habits for myself. I continued a high-protein diet that included more good fats and vegetables. Shaun also helped me alter things based on my weight loss progress. 

Sweets were my biggest problem. I will be honest: I haven’t given them up completely. I used to consume chips and candy daily. When I started my weight loss journey, I decided to cut my sweet intake to one time a week. That allowed me to fulfill my urge but not overdo it. I also stopped eating out five times a week and cooked more instead (plus, that helped my pockets! LOL.) Cooking more helped me control what I was consuming. Meal prepping helped me tremendously because planning ahead took a lot off my plate. Now, my diet is high protein to help with muscle growth. 

Tell us about your workout routine.  The plan my trainer started me out on was weight training with a combination of conditioning and cardio three times a week. My homework consisted of cardio and abs two times a week—so I worked out five days a week. That regimen really helped me develop consistency and good habits when it came to physical activity. 

Now, I work out anywhere from 4-6 times a week, and I am still with my trainer. My workouts consist of more weight, strength, and conditioning training. My focus is muscle growth. 

What was your starting weight? 286 pounds

What is your current weight? 174 pounds

What is your height? 5’8″

What did your journey begin? I started my weight loss journey in 2019.

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey? No, all-natural weight loss. 

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? Success requires discipline. It requires the discipline to eat healthy, discipline to work out regularly, discipline to be consistent, discipline to stay focused, and, most importantly, discipline to never give up on yourself. 

My trainer always quotes: “Discipline BEATS Motivation.” Motivation goes, but discipline stays!!! 

What advice would you give to women who want to lose weight? Weight loss journeys are all mental. You have to prepare yourself for change mentally. This change will require you to change your environment, your thought process, and your daily routine. It won’t be easy, but I can be done!! Always invest in yourself, and remember that this is for YOU!!

I have a tma pre-archive au I need to eventually write that’s really just a jumbled mix of different fanon lore I’ve seen mixed around and I need a place to put it so here’s the compiled list of what I Know is going on in said au(this list is entirely just for my own reference):

Jon wears elevator shoes bc he’s like. 5’3 but he thought it would look more professional to be taller (also hates being super short) so he has a long con of making people think he’s like 5’8 via 5 inch elevator shoes.

Jon has an arrest record for breaking an entering which is basically the crux of the au bc I always see people joking about Jon getting arrested but I’ve never seen anyone actually write a Jon and Tim research shenanigans au and I NEED IT. (This is also why the au is called the Research and Shenanigans au in most of my notes. Otherwise known as the r&s au or, #Rs! Au)

Honestly idk if it’s just? Pre archivist jon or if archivist jon doesn’t occur.

The OTHER Crux of the au is that Martin moves to research. I have no clue why Martin would move to research. But he does. Which obviously results in extra shenanigans. It also obviously results in some weird horrifying turn of events in which Tim has to be the responsible one (I feel like jonmartim would be the logical outcome of this but it hasn’t been decided)

I haven’t decided whether there are fears and if so how I’ll approach them. They’ll be toned down at minimum but otherwiseThat’s later me’s problem

I’m including the whole Jon was in the mechs thing mostly bc it’s a super convenient way to add in everyone Jon wouldn’t know for obvious reasons. That’s basically the only reason why lol.

Jon is more chill and chaotic bc he’s in research. I feel like I have to add more to make Jon not seem super ooc but like ehhhh. Either the mechs thing covers it or I’ll figure it out as I go! Woo!

Yeah that’s the problem. Zac is only 5’8-5’9 and those guys are 6 ft plus, so like too much muscle mass looks horrible on Zac lol

Absolutely.

“Hey, that’s not fair!” You laughed as Abby wrapped her arms around you, kissing the skin on your neck gently. You could feel her smile against your skin, strong arms slightly tightened around your waist before you spun and giggled. “You can’t do that. It’s a race.”

She looked down at you and smirked, leaning down to peck your lips a couple times. As soon as you felt her deepen the kiss you pushed her hands off of you and stepped away from her, giggling as she frowned.

“You should hurry, I’m half way done.” You but your lip to refrain a smile from appearing when she rolled her eyes, stepping back to her workout area.

“Bullshit, you’re nowhere near done.”

“Never said I was.”

Abby smiled and watched as you lifted your weights up from the floor. It was a method to distract you, of course, but you tried not to pay attention to her lingering eyes and focused on your workout. It was damn right difficult, but eventually when she noticed you weren’t giving her any reaction she got back to her own workout.

It was merely 15 before you finished your weight sets and got to the cardio bits, but what fun would it be without messing with Abby a little?

Like, come on. She has a really nice ass, right? All that working out is paying off and GOD look at those muscles. You contemplated a little, watching as she squatted with the bar on her shoulders. It was temping, but you waiting until she was finished before you approached her.

Just…a…little…closer…

Smack

Abby turned around with a surprised expression, one eyebrow lifted as she looked at your sly smirk. She wasn’t expecting you to slap her ass, and she was definitely surprised when you did.

You couldn’t keep the smile off of your face as you walked away, attempting to get to the treadmills.

“Oh, yeah?” You heard behind you, but you didn’t think to look behind you purely for the fact you didn’t think Abby would retaliate. That was until she slapped your ass back, grabbed your waist and pulled your back against her front, taking you completely by surprise. She chuckled in your ear before pushing you and herself towards the treadmills, where you were sure she’d definitely make you pay.

“Let’s see how fast you can run, smartass.”

You hated run racing against Abby. She had long, strong legs while you were quite small and content with your ability to run. Her 5’8 body had no problem doing 7 miles on a treadmill at a fast pace, while you couldn’t do 4 without stopping for a breather.

“I’m shorter than you, I’m allowed to run less.”

“The stalker that’ll be chasing you won’t care.” She pointed out, an eyebrow raised as the two of you stood side by side, each on the treadmill before you turned yours on. To be fair she had a point, but in terms of racing it was an unfair fight between you.

“You run 5 without stopping and I’ll carry you back to out room.” She negotiated. You looked at her and contemplated, a small smirk appearing on your lips before she chuckled. “Run 5 and we’ll see.”

You exhaled, increasing the speed on your machine before you started jogging. It wasn’t even 5 minutes before Abby leaned over and turned up your speed even more. You looked over with a frown, only to be returned with a smile and a shrug.

A gruelling hour later, you were holding on every bit of strength you had left to run. Abby said she’d run as long as you did, and so you were counting each mile you did until 5 finally popped onto your screen.

You stopped your treadmill, stepped off and sat on the ground, sweat pouring off your forehead while your lungs tried to get as much oxygen as they could.

Abby stepped off and wiped her forehead, kneeling in front off you before reaching out with her hand to lift your chin up.

“Well done.” She smiled, helping you up and lifting your body onto hers. You wrapped your tired legs around her waist, while her hands held the bottom of your thighs for support. “Come on.”

She left the gym with your in her arms, silently carrying you upstairs to your room.

“I stepped off first so does that mean I win?” You mumbled into her shoulder too tired to properly pull away.

She chuckled and kissed your temple, opening the door to your room.

“Yeah, sure.”

“Fuck yeah.”
