“You’re hurt.” It wasn’t a question. Now that the visor was up, he could see that Julian’s face was glistening with sweat, and his eyes did not appear to be focussing properly. Girani was already beside him, hovering over him with her tricorder. “Were you attacked?” Ben asked. If someone else was out there, targeting his senior officers, then tiredness be damned, he’d take a team out there straight away to hunt them down. “Not… no. No, you-- you don’t need to worry now,” Julian replied. “Don’t worry, sir, I’ll save you…” He swayed dangerously, and Ben caught him by the shoulders once more. This time, he didn’t let go.

“I’ll be frank.” “Either you have me act as your girlfriend or you’re gonna meet that teenager in a week and pray that she cheats on you down the line so the engagement gets cancelled.”

SYNOPSIS. Orter Madl's month has been nothing but blind dates inhibiting his work at the Magical Power Administration. All set up by his parents. He's suggested into a relationship of convenience by the woman who occupied his position previously, Rinka Ontarin, in order to solve his problem. Reluctantly accepting the proposal, they must now convince the whole kingdom of their romance whilst fulfilling their duties as Divine Visionaries. More questions arise than answers though as the strings are slowly unraveled.

NOTES. Inspired by business proposal the kdrama, title taken from dreamcatcher's starlight, lots of world-building headcanons, we're following the plot of mashle but it's more obvious later on, also in the same universe as my LOSER=LOVER fic with my other mashle oc, no love triangle, nvm i added a love 'triangle' but that's if you really squint your eyes, NVM IT'S GONNA BECOME CANON ADJACENT???

WARNINGS. Cringe rom-com (let's have fun shall we?), they're kinda ooc sometimes, possible descriptions of death and blood, off screen character deaths with lots of plot importance :>, slow burn in terms of plot and romance, planned bittersweet/sad ending, OH and random swearing?, I'm still writing it so please don't ask me about an update schedule.

VOL 2 will be published after I finish my other mashle fic's VOL 1 (they're both set in the same universe, that's why and are kinda interconnected yet separate. It's so I don't mess up the timeline really bad.)

So, for the question for this weekend since I got to listen to Jon's composition... What are you top 5 of his solo compositions and why?

Heyyyy my dear and welcome❤️ finally finished school, waiting for the final exam :)

Actually I didnt get to play on last sunday bc our teacher got sick like 30 mins before the show😭😭 hopefully hes good now and tomorrow we might play again, crazy story😵‍💫

Lets start (its always so difficult to do a good placing but lets try🥲):

5) Before I Forget

A good mix of pure rock 'n' roll, ballads and english folk/medieval music. Also his arrangement of the Bach Toccata and Fugue "Bach onto this" with Cozy Powell on drums (fantastic work of his) is so nice to listen to.

4) Gemini Suite

The "sequel" of the Concerto, with each movement based on a different member of the deeps. You can clearly see his interest in the zodiac (Gemini being his sign, and every musician that participated had their sign and birthday too!). This work stands out from the previous one obv bc Its orchestral, but also because you can feel that his music is mostly not melodic or follows an harmony, but it's "organized noise", bizarre jingles, sound effects (like percussion parts) and sound walls that are so fascinating and unconventional to me. Also his collaboration on the 3rd movement with Yvonne Elliman (really nice singer, you should check her work!). My favourite movements are Piano, Drums and Organs.

3) Sarabande

Another tribute of his love to Bach and Baroque dances (every piece maintains the name of the specific dance) where he kept the original time signatures but experimented more with the electric-acoustic interaction between instruments. Sarabande (track) is hypnotic and captivating, and Gigue has a beautiful continuous piano part that sets the rythm :)

2) Boom Of The Tingling Strings

One of his later and first orchestral-only works. If I remember correctly he got this title from a poem about a childs experience with being under a grand piano, and the thing that stands out for him is that "unexpectedly violent" sound, recalling his childhood (so cute☺️). He wrote a piano part so complex compared to his skills that got played only by a concert pianist (Nelson Goerner), so I consider this work to be also one of his most challenging, both in technique and expression; very atmospheric piece, with melancholic inspirations from the 900' revolutionary composers (take this personal view with a grain of salt: im no professional in judging correctly this kind of music😭 but the piano solo part in the middle of Allegro Giusto reminds me of the Prokofiev's War Sonatas, more precisely the 6° in A Major: again this was composed during the middle of a the 2° world war and the sovietic dictatorship, and the music perfectly shows the chaos that took place in people's minds: I've got the same "out of place" feeling with Jons music and its mindblowing for me). Altough I wrote an essay here its still too little to describe this incredible piano concerto 😌

1) Concerto For Group And Orchestra

I want to put the Concerto still on no. 1 bc of the huge impact it had both musically and socially aswell. A first approach of combining popular and élite music in 1969, a revolutionary period where the younger generations wanted to change the old post-war sistem that moved everything, so the union of young-old was visionary enough. He made this work with a strict deadline and in basically no time, probably going burnout after burnout: but he still managed to kick asses and showed his early genius to the world, making Ritchie mad enough (I bet to this very day) ❤️❤️❤️

This was a bit long, ooops🤣 but you gave me the right occasion to talk about it in a free manner, so thanksss dear💋 (I know that I have to still make a review abt your fic gal, I wish to find the proper time soon😭)

5. Do you respond to comments?

Yes. I’m sure I’ve missed some, but I do try to respond to them all.

6. Fic w/Angstiest Ending.

I think I’d have to say, “Chloe Effed Up.” It’s the only fic I’ve written where Beca and Chloe do not end up together.

7. Happiest ending? 

I am known for happy, fluffy stories, so I can’t pick which of my fics would have the happiest ending. (I do love writing an Epilogue and will (almost) always find a way to have a happy ending.)

8. Do you get hate on fics?

None that I can recall.

9. Do you write smut/what kind?

Not usually; I have written some light smut when I felt it added something to the story (or I got badgered enough and added some to keep readers happy; giving into peer pressure is not usually my forte, but I can be persuaded every once in a while).

10. Do you write crossovers?

I haven’t, but I have used characters from Grey’s Anatomy more than once. 

11. Ever had a fic stolen?

Yes.

12. Ever had a fic translated?

Not that I’m aware of.

13. Ever cowritten a fic?

Yes, several, actually.

14. Favorite ship?

For writing, all Bechloe, all the time. Also, Staubrey. And, I don’t write them, but I have grown a bit fond of Junksen (and I did write a Christmas one-shot where Aubrey and Emily were together).

15. A WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Nothing that’s been posted. (I do have a couple of fics in a Drafts folder that I started because I got an idea and didn’t want to lose it. I may have to revisit that folder and see if there’s anything there worth working on.)

16. Writing strengths?

I finish every fic I start; nothing is left incomplete. I also feel I’m stronger at writing one-shots than multi-chapter fics.

17. Writing weaknesses?

I use dialog to convey the story because I’m not as good at imagery or descriptive narratives.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in a different language?

I haven’t written too much in a different language, only small parts of conversations, and Google Translate may or may not have been involved. If I actually spoke a different language, I would definitely write something in that language.

19. First Fandom you wrote for?

Pitch Perfect. Also, it's the only fandom I’ve written for.

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

Wow! That’s a loaded question. I don’t really have a favorite, but I do have a few that I really am proud to have written. My top five are (in no particular order):

1) The Last book I read:

Foster by Claire Keegan, which is what the movie An Cailín Ciúin was based on. It's only 70 pages (though I listened to the audio, which has a stunning narration) and I think I am in love with Claire Keegan maybe.

The last australian book I read was Witchy (vol 1+2) by Ariel Ries. Really fun comic about young witch Nyneve who is conscripted into the Witch Guards, runs away, and has to figure out her place in the world. Beautiful art!!

2) A book I recommend:

This year I finally read A Safe Girl to Love by Casey Plett, which is a collection of short stories about trans women living in Canada/the US. Every story felt so lived in and alive. It is mostly real-life stuff but there is one story where a woman can speak with her cat and it's done so well. Semi-related stories in that some of the characters know each other/mention each other. A trans classic!!!

3) A book that I couldn’t put down:

Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton. Set in Aotearoa, centred around these two young women who run a guerilla gardening collective. one of them meets a billionaire who wants to give them a bunch of money. Now see the blurb told me it was an eco thriller but the thriller part is very slow burn until ur like JAYSUS SLOW DOWN.

4) A book I’ve read twice (or more):

I re-read the Southern Reach trilogy (Annihilation, Authority & Acceptance) by Jeff VanderMeer at the end of last yr because he accounced the fourth book. I just love them. The kind of spec fic I would love to write tbh.

5) A book on my TBR:

Praiseworthy by Alexis Wright. I bought it because I knew i was quitting my job and I wanted the staff discount and I thought I'd read it in my unemployment phase. Turns out quitting your job because you're horribly treated means that u enter a big extra-depressed phase so I did not have the brain space to read more than the first 25 pages. But i loved those, they just required more energy than I had. I'm gonna paste the blurb here actually because it just sounds fucken rad:

Praiseworthy is an epic set in the north of Australia, told with the richness of language and scale of imagery for which Alexis Wright has become renowned. A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske. I just simply do not care about rich English people. I had about an hour left of the audiobook, I rly tried to push thru but I just couldn't care enough.

8) A favorite book from childhood:

I did love Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree series which look I'm sure u can tell about me if you know me. And look I still do but my god. The amount of parents and parents buying these for their children at the shop for the love of god get them at the op shop PLEASE.

Vague ............ well it would be something aus.

10) A book of poetry or lyrics that you own

The last one I bought was Non-Essential Work by Omar Sakr. I think Omar is one of the best writers working today in this godforsaken colony. HIs work is just exquisite and so precise.

11) A nonfiction book you own:

The last one I bought was Orientalism by Edward Said which made me realise how if you don't read anything academic in ten+ years it's very hard to get back into reading (or again, perhaps it is the horrible mental illnesses attacking my brain which mean I find it extremely hard to concentrate on anything!!! wahoo!!!!) so I am taking that one slow.

12) What are you currently reading:

Ghost Cities by Siang Lu which comes out in May. It's very funny and absurd and written just the way I like. It's about a dude who lives in Sydney and works as a Chinese translator, but he actually speaks no Chinese and uses google translate to do his job. He's fired via elaborate prank and then somehow gets the attention of a famous movie director, and is currently being whisked away to one of the ghost city apartment complexes in China to make a movie with him. There's a parallel story about an ancient emperor and I just finished the 30-page poem that his newly-imprisoned eunichs composed. It's exciting!!

13) What are you planning on reading next?

The Orphancorp trilogy (dystopian aus YA) by Marlee Jane Ward, which I have already read and simply adore. Three novellas that imo have perfect pacing and are about "what if capitalism was extra bad". They are deeply queer and anti-capitalist.

Ahahah that's why I 100% removed him from being adler prefect in my fanfic canon adjacent shit becuz he genuinely doesn't sound like he wants to be a prefect yk. His whole goal is about making orphans not be discriminated against (or something I lowkey forgot the details but Finn was in the mix) so the only reason he would've accepted prefect position is he was forced to take it cuz he got that power and also baby steps for DV shit (but he's already a DV so I doubt it matters anymore).

The way I see it is that while it's schooltime he only works part-time (2-5 hours max) (there's this whole must graduate high school policy for DVs in my fic, so he is encouraged to prioritise his school work) unless it's an absolute emergency or he has some sorta long-term mission.

I presume that although he is head of Magical Items, it's mostly in name only for the remainder of his school days as:

1. His magic is powerful, and it's implied somewhere that Wahlberg requested him to take out a dragon (or I just made that up for my fanfic I dunno), so the Bureau is making use of his power elsewhere

2. Wahlberg's influence over the Bureau allows Rayne to focus on less department orientated problems (like that stolen mirror?) and focus on Wahlberg requests (investigating stuff)

3. The Magical Items Department can operate just fine without a Divine Visionary. So it's prolly just monthly check-ins and looking over certain paperwork for new tools and licenses that will stress blud out.

Those are my ideas.

Otherwise he relieves stress by letting his rabbits chew him out alive every morning and evening (in the canon canon shit)

lowkey now that i’m thinking about it how does being a divine visionary even work for rayne? he’s still a student so when does he have time to go to the get work done at the bureau? does he just miss a bunch of classes and makes up his work later? is he given special exemption? also he came back from a trip during the magia lupus arc. where did he go? what did they have him do? how is he balancing everything 😭😭 so many things i have to know..

Stare Blankly- Adam Sackler/Reader- Part 1, Chapter 6

You walk into your apartment and find Hannah sitting at the table on her laptop, with notes scattered everywhere and Marnie sitting down on the living room floor playing with Grover. Your dog River runs to see you, but then returns to befriend the baby. You say hi to all of them then go to your room to change into a more comfortable outfit. You unpack your takeout, and make plates for all three of you. You sit down on the couch with your plate, and you start to tell them about your run-in with Jessa, “I ran into Jessa today. She was fighting with some guy and couldn’t pay for her food.”

“Well that’s classic Jessa. She’s always a hot mess, she causes all of these problems not caring about anyone else’s feelings and then doesn’t know why everyone is mad at her.” Marnie says and Grover starts reaching for a toy. Hannah adds, “Yeah for someone who wanted to be a therapist, she’s not very self-aware. She starts fucking and dating my ex-boyfriend, doesn’t tell me, then is shocked when I didn’t tell her I was pregnant.”

“Do any of you talk to her anymore?” You can’t help but ask because adult friendships go through waves.

“No, I told her that I wasn’t mad at her anymore but she’s not my friend. I have no idea what her life is like and she doesn’t know mine.” Hannah says and you can tell that she’s not as over it as wants to sound. Marnie then shares, “She wasn’t even supposed to be there for brunch that day and that was the last I saw her or heard from her.”

“UGH! Fuck! This article is going to kill me.” Hannah yells as Marnie shushes her. Hannah’s picking up her notebook and is bent over her laptop again. You sit down across the table from her, and ask, “What’s your article about? I thought you were copyrighting?”

“I am, that’s my day job but I got this article freelancing. It’s supposed to be on Mothering conference I went to.”

“See that’s why I don’t do essays most of the time. It’s easier to write other people’s emotions than your own. What’s the problem? How was the Mothering conference?” You ask so you can help her get through her writer’s block or maybe give her a new angle for the piece.

“It was supposed to be ‘empowering’ but it was all about mothers feeling perfect all the time and didn’t talk about the struggles facing mothers every day. I’m a proud, and ‘empowered’ single mother and it is hard, it’s really fucking hard. I don’t know why they just didn’t talk about that. Like you be a great mom and still acknowledge it’s difficult. It was façade feminist: looks feminist on the outside but hollow on the inside.” Hannah says and sighs. She walks over and picks Grover up, he smiles up at her. You then realize that’s what Hannah should write about.

“Why don’t you write what you just said about the façade feminism? Explain why it felt that way to you. And you know talk about how great being a mother is, but also how difficult it is.” You say and she smiles and says, “Yes! That sounds like a great idea!”

Hannah sits down and starts typing at a rapid pace. You and Marnie put on a new show on Hulu while Grover naps peacefully.

               “Y/N! I’m so glad you could make it! I know you’re not a dramatist like me, but I think you’ll have fun!” Your friend, Kirsten says as she leads you through her party. You had met Kirsten in law school, and she was working for legal, but her real passion was theater. She was a terrific actress and had never been afraid to put herself out there. She had a larger than life personality that you had grown accustomed to. This was her birthday party but of course, she had a band playing and had a skit plan.

You’re catching up with Kirsten as Adam Sackler walks through the door. Attempting to avoid him, you head towards the restroom. Before you can make it too far, Kirsten pulls you back and says, “Y/N, this is my friend Adam, we’re in the same cabaret group.”

Adam looks at you awkwardly and you look at him awkwardly. “Oh I know Adam, I didn’t know you were in the same cabaret group.” You finally say, and then Kirsten moves close to Adam and clutches onto his arm. You know Kirsten well enough to recognize that move:  she’s going to flirt with him to see if he’s interested. Not that it means she’s interested in him, she likes to play the game more than anything. You can tell that Adam isn’t sure what to do with attention so you smile as you watch the exchange. Kirsten eventually moves along, and Adam moves to stand next to you. When you make eye contact with him, you both burst out in laughter. Once the fit of laughter has settled down you suppress your next comment.

“Kirsten is one of a kind. She’s putting the moves on you.” You raise your eyebrows provocatively at him and he shrugs his shoulders in an innocent way back at you before replying.

“She’s great but not my type.”

“What is your type then?” You question because Kirsten is gorgeous, bubbly and certainly not dull. From his relationship history, you can’t determine what his type actually is.

“You.” He’s observing your reaction with his amber eyes that you feel are boring holes into you. The look on your face is that of pure astonishment. Then, you laugh uneasily because you’re both flattered and unsure how else to respond. A change in topic is much needed at this time.

“I never saw you as a cabaret guy.” You comment.

“Well this cab group is very innovative and challenging, plus I like the artistic vision. And it’s a good break from my day job.” He says and takes a drink of his seltzer water.

“What’s your day job now?”

“I’m working on this indie film by a Romanian couple which talks about immigration and family. Think a modern A View from the Bridge meets Cassavetes, if you know who he is.” Adam remarks and watches a dance group take to the middle of the floor.

“Yes, I know who Cassavetes is, he was a true visionary. Have you ever read his thoughts on method acting?” You ask. You loved some Cassavetes movies and enjoyed the class you took on him in undergrad. Adam seemed be intellectual and opinionated therefore you assumed he’d have some commentary.

“He has a point that if you mentally become the character then it’s” Kirsten interrupts Adam’s statement by grabbing his arm and yours, dragging you to the dance floor.  Adam shows off his eccentric dance moves and you have nothing but respect for them as you throw a couple of your signature moves too.  And this dance party goes on for hours.

Adam was walking home from Kirsten’s party with Y/N, who was tagging alongside him carrying her heels in her right hand. He was shocked when they walked out of the venue that she took off the shoes she was wearing and pulled a pair of rolled up flats out of her bag to put them on instead. After dancing for hours, the two headed home, choosing to walk together since they were going in the same direction. That’s when the conversation continued. Adam had just told Y/N about some of the stuff that he wrote, and she grabbed his arm, turning him to face her.

“Wait, you write too? Why have you never mentioned that before?” She says in an offended voice. He comes up with some rationale, “I don’t know, you never asked. I write about my life.”

Unable to think of any real reason for why never told her before, he tries to deflect.  They begin walking again in order to not cause a pileup in the middle of the street.

“I bet your stuff is good. You’re very honest, which is rare anymore. Did you write the movie about you and Hannah?” She says as if she’s putting the dots together for the first time. Adam wonders how she knew about the film about his relationship with Hannah, and now he anxiously hopes she never watches it. He remembers that she’s roommates with Marnie, that’s probably how she knows about Disclosure. He shakes his head yes, choosing not to answer verbally. She stops at the corner since this is her street. Adam hopes he’ll see her again soon.

“Marnie and I are having this apartment warming thing this Friday, you should come.” She tells him and he responds with the obvious reaction, “I’d like that but are you sure I’d be welcome with all of them being there?”

“Yeah, Marnie is inviting who she wants to and I want to invite you.” Y/N says like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Adam is still surprised so he says, “Wait, does this mean you like me?”

“I tolerate you and you tolerate me. Plus we have shared interests.” Adam smiles at her like an idiot as Y/N walks away down her street. He thinks that this is good. He can survive being around Hannah and Marnie if he gets to spend time with Y/N.

The restaurant bustles around you as you wonder why you agreed to meet Jess for lunch. She had contacted you to invite you out as a way to thank you for helping her out. You ordered coffee and sipped as you waited. Mentally you determined that if Jessa didn’t arrive in exactly five minutes, then you would pay for your coffee and leave but then you see her outside smoking a cigarette.

“Okay so I married to this finance guy named Thomas-John who lived in Williamsburg,” Jessa says laughing, and you respond by saying, “And the fact that he had two first names and lived in Williamsburg wasn’t a red flag? Every guy I’ve ever met with two names has turned out to be a total douche. Not to mention, the people I’ve met from Williamsburg.”

“Well I was young and stupid.” Jessa says. The two of you ended up chatting once she did arrive, and you realized that you actually thought she was fun to be around. She might not be a “best friends” type of girl but you enjoyed being around her.  She continues, “I like my lifestyle, I’ve lived it since I was five years old. But everyone else has moved forward and I feel like I’m in the exact same place.”

“What do you really want to do? There has to be a way to accomplish it, and you could always do it in a non-traditional way.” She thinks about what you said, and you wonder why you’re giving her life advice when she more than likely won’t listen to you at all. Jessa raises her eyebrows and finally answers, “I want to help people figure out their lives and their trauma. I thought I wanted to be a therapist but I’m not sure if going back to school is my thing.”

“You could be a life coach. Talk about your struggles and how you got through them. Help others in similar situations.” Honestly, you couldn’t imagine Jessa sticking to anything: she was too much of a bohemian free spirit. She started smiling and thanked you for the advice, she said that she’d work on starting that. For whatever reason, you decided to invite her to your apartment warming, and she said that she’d be there.

“But you should know that Hannah will be there, and Adam was invited too. I don’t know if that will be awkward for you.”

“Uh I can manage, I’ll see you then.” She gives a hug before you both leave to go your separate ways. You suddenly worry that inviting Jessa might prove to be a mistake.

School's out for the next 5 weeks, so let's try working on it for 2 hours a weekday, hopefully resulting in 4000 words a week. Each week I'll post how it's going on here.

1. How many are you happy with?

Most of them! Sometimes the titles are good even when I’m less than satisfied with the fics themselves. XD But I like thinking up titles, so I don’t post until I’m happy with the title, and I take it as a challenge to come up with good ones. In fact, I like basically all of them except...

2. How many are... not great?

*gestures at the Shatterpoints series: Bodhi Rook, Bail Organa, Commodex Tahn...* They’re... they were written and posted when I was still using FFN as my main base of operations, so there, each of these titles were the title of a chapter, in a oneshot collection. But on AO3, I chose to use the series feature instead (why did I do this for the Shatterpoints series but not for Chiaroscuro?? Beats me) so... we have entire oneshots named... that.

3. How many did you scramble for at the last minute?

Veracities & Visionaries went through many drafts, if I recall correctly, before I decided on it for sure literally moments before posting. It needed to sound like Mercenaries & Missionaries, and follow the same theme, but I searched for so many words before I settled on these ones.

Ascension, also, was one that I really wasn’t certain about until I literally needed a title. As was The Moon and the Monsters (originally posted as Moons and Monsters). 

4. How many did you know before you started writing/creating, or near the beginning?

Eclipse was literally the first title I came up with for it, it was just a placeholder so I could put it in my notes. It... stuck XD

5. How many are quotes from songs or poems?

None of them.

6. How many are other quotes?

None of them (except No Heroes on the High Seas, which is a quote from the fic itself, if that counts? Same for Tenterhooks and Ascension, come to think of it.)

7. Which best reflects the plot of the story/content of the fanwork?

Some are pretty on point, others... less so. Arena is probably the most literal, The Heir references stuff that happens later, and the core conflict and situation, and... well, No Heroes on the High Seas is pretty self-explanatory.

8. Which best reflects the theme of the story?

Sparks shows the theme I was trying to get for the story, though I’m not sure how much I succeeded. Touchstone, I think, is probably the most accurate -- the whole fic is about needing and having something to ground you, and then having that torn away (as well as, y’know, the magic system being based on touching).  Chiaroscuro is... well, the light and the dark :P

9. Which best reflects the character voice of the story/POV of the story?

Tenterhooks was chosen because the whole time, Vader is waiting on tenterhooks to see if Luke will ever come to accept him. But honestly -- it’s simple and to the point and obvious, but Faithless encapsulates the voice of the story by far the best. XD

10. Which is your favourite title?

It’s a toss up between The Heir or Touchstone. But probably Touchstone. They just have... That Feel to them.

We are so screwed. This might be longer than my other fic. Which is scary now that I think about it but this fic covers a lot of original content that is necessary to develop the character narrative I made for this girl unfortunately. So I'm aiming for 2k-3k words per chapter instead so I don't overwhelm people with like 40+ chapters for a single Part. Due to the complete overhaul of the plot, I won't change/update and publish Darren's character profile because it spoils a lot AHAHAHHAH.

The Arc names aren't set in stone. I just dunno how else to call them.

Ooh, this is fun. Thanks for sending this in! This is mostly from my first fic, In a Flash, but a couple are from have already occurred in it's sequel, Out of Focus:

1. Averey revealing to Team Flash that she was a meta-patient held at Belle Reve

2. Averey/Visionary and Ronnie/Firestorm's fight against Gavin/King of the Royal Flush Gang after revealing to Dr. McGee that she was a meta and that Mercury Labs needed to accept responsibility for it's hand in all the tests being done to metas at Belle Reve

3. Saving Gavin when the singularity was destroying S.T.A.R. Labs all around them; inadvertantly tapping into a newly developing meta ability

4. Teaching Barry how to pickpocket and coaching (in show called quarterbacking) him through his "criminal" undercover work with the Snarts

5. Temporarily blinding Lisa Snart so she wouldn't witness Leonard killing her father
