Photoism
Summary: Rafe’s shy girl wants to take photobooth pictures with him on a date.
Pairing: Rafe x shy!fem!reader
Warning: food mentions, kissing, Rafe being a tease, nicknames (sweet cheeks, princess), Rafe flipping off the camera
A/N: sorry it took so long. got really busy with work. hope you enjoy! (^з^)-☆ idk if all of y’all know photo booths work cause each one of different so I took inspo from the photo booth in my Koreatown and how it works 🤍🤍🤍
Little dates with Rafe are common. Whether it was getting boba from the newest tea shop to something a bizarre as paint ball. Rafe loved surprising you with cute little dates.
Today was no different as he took you out on a trip to Koreatown. He wanted to try the new fried chicken place people were raving about. It was in this food gallery like place. Full of cute decor and soft kpop songs playing on the radio.
On the corner of your eyes you spot a couple leaving the photo booth giggling as they hold a photostrip each. Something in you made you want to do it with Rafe but you were too shy to ask. As you both finish eating the fried chicken, Rafe made mental note on how your eyes lingered back to the photo booth.
As the two of you are nearly about to leave you finally gained the confidence to ask him to take some pictures.
“Hey Rafe…can we take some photo booth pictures be for we go?” you said very timidly. “It’s…just I’ve been eyeing the photobooth recently— but before you can finish to it ramble explaining why you wanted to Rafe kissed you to shut you up.
“You know you don’t need to explain sweet cheeks. I’ve seen you eyeing that machine for a while. If it makes you happy I’m willing to do so” he says. As he says that your cheeks go red over the nickname and the kiss.
“Come on princess don’t go all shy on me now? We still have pictures to take” he says feigning concern but the smirk plastered on his face gave his real reaction away. As he says this you start to drag him into the photo booth.
Inside the photo booth was a screen which displayed a start button. As you click the button, the screen turns into the styles of photos you can get from 2 2x6 photo strips with 4 frames for $5 or 2 4x6 sheets with 6 frames for $8. You choose the option for $5 and the screen tells you to insert a $5 bill in the slot under the screen to begin. Rafe hands you a $5 bill from his Hermes wallet for you. As the machine takes the bill the screen mirrors the you and Rafe, letting you see what the poses would look like. You guys had 8 takes for poses and 15 seconds to do them.
The first pose you wanted to do was a cute one so you put your hands in the shape of a heart to you cheek, Rafe on the other hand flipped of the camera but before you could react the camera shuttered and you’ve used up one of the frames.
The next pose was you doing the same pose but Rafe this time following in suit.
After that, y’all did peace signs with both of your hands.
Each frame was different from silly to cute and much more.
For the last one, Rafe wanted to do something. He pretended to do another pose but right before the counter reached 0 he grabbed your chin and leaned you in for a big kiss. After pulling away from the kiss your face turned bright red.
“Rafe!” you whined. “What? Don’t tell me you didn’t like it princess. Come on let’s choose the frames before the timer runs out love” he states.
After he said that you both looked at the screen and looked over the poses you want. You choose the peace sign one first. Rafe says, “ we should do this one. I look bad ass.” He points to the one where he flips off the camera. “But it so vulgar”, you said. Rafe chuckles as he heard you say that. “C’mon princess, I’ll let you pick the next one okay?” Rafe says. You nod as you pick the one where you both did the hearts.
The last photo was the one you had struggle with. Do you choose the silly one with both of you sticking out your tongue or the cute one where you both did animal ears? Rafe then butts in, “We should do the last one where we kissed.” You looked at the last one and blush.
“But it’s so unexpected I don’t look ready” you said. Rafe just smirks, “You’re not supposed to look ready. That’s why it’s good. Plus the kiss was pretty nice.” “No it wasn’t” you said blushing like crazy. Rafe looks you up and down, “Don’t lie to me princess. I like it so I’m choosing it” he says clicking on the photo.
After that you got to choose the frame, you went with the pastel pink and blue ombr frame. You both waited for the photos to print and got out of the booth enjoying the rest of the day around town.

How much picture do the family Morningstar have of Irene? Do they talk about her during work, gushing on how cute she is?
Gosh, I think in order to count the exact number of pictures it would take a literal eternity😅
Charlie’s phone constantly runs low on storage because of how many pictures she has of Irene and their little family. Let’s say she has about 10 pictures of Irene a day everyday from birth to 18 years old, and that’s just the photos she kept (deleting any of them breaks her heart).
Alastor, of course, still doesn’t have a mobile phone. Instead he uses an old-fashioned camera to take photos of Irene. He’s not as camera-obsessed as the rest of the family so the pictures he takes are in small quantities. But the photos he has are all framed and safety placed around his and Charlie’s room and all around his radio tower.
As for Lucifer and Lilith, not even god knows how many pictures they have saved😭 They don’t get to be around her as often as her parents, though! They must take as many as they can! Yes, even when she’s a teenager, they’ll constantly ask her if they can take her picture and she always says yes because well, how could she not? Especially when they both look at her like “🥺🥺🥺plssss you’re our grandbaby!! We need more for the 10th photo album!! And the 4x6 space on the wall of our kitchen!”
Oh and of course, they talk about her all the damn time. Especially Lucifer. He does not stop. Ever. At all. Try changing the subject, he’ll turn it right back around and make it about Irene again. Hope you didn’t have plans for the next 3-4 hours because you’re not going anywhere when he’s in grandpa mode!
Though how could you blame him or any of them? She’s the cutest half deer/half goat/half sinner/half hellborn anyone’s ever seen!!!
(I should really draw Irene as a kid haha)

El's 4x3 massacre flashbacks analysis
just want to chew on some of the unique massacre closeup shots in this flashback that are rarely or never used in the full scenes. gonna try to see what jives and what doesn't.
(I'm not even gonna touch the Brenner shots, not because they fail to raise many questions, but because he's been thoroughly analyzed already)
let's begin!
---
8 Ball
4x3 flash:
best look at this is in 4x8, and I think it's not consistent. the blood on the 8 looks a little different. and we may be missing floor droplets:
---
chess board
4x3 flash:
the angle/distance of the board seems a little different relative to the 8 ball compared to my previous 4x8 screenshot, wouldn't you say?
the chess board is also not as pictured in Brenner 4x1 scene. there's no blood on it or chess pieces around it when he walks into the room:
ah so then it must come from El's 4x7? also no:
ps literal dialogue about Papa "moving the kids like chess pieces" and then both dead kids and chess pieces keep moving around in the massacre footage. I'm begging them to be serious
it also doesn't match the 4x6 bullying scene flashback's chess board:
---
I don't know what you call this thing
4x3 flash:
it usually sits on the center bookcase in the RR, and we also saw tiny blonde El playing with it in Terry's memory.
it is present in 4x7 and its blood seems consistently oriented to the stripe on the floor.
it's also not a perfect match for 4x6 (it's lying on white floor and the blood spatter extends from red onto white)
---
maze
4x3 flash:
not much to say about this, we're never shown this area very closely during the massacre.
--
drawing table
4x3 flash:
this is SUCH a weird angle. this is the divider of one of those drawing tables seen from almost directly underneath.
I wanted to say it's obviously the left table, but this other shot from the montage conflicts - the surface I thought this was, is clean. but at the far right edge you can see the neighboring divider is bloody.
4x3 flash:
this is weird because that's a surface that's never exposed. the drawing tables are always kept right up against each other:
so I guess they got both shoved apart and bled on during the massacre? perhaps the POV and blood belong to whoever fell down in between them and landed on the floor?
whoever that was, it definitely wasn't El, not the El shown in 4x7 anyway. she didn't go over in that area of the room at all.
anyway, to actually compare it to the only time we're shown a decent view of that corner during a massacre scene:
okay, so I never noticed the drawing tables did indeed get shoved apart. and. well well! there is indeed a dead kid who's fallen between them on the floor RIGHT EXACTLY THERE where that pov had to come from.
which kid is that and why is pre-NINA El remembering that kid's pov?? what if that's Other Timeline Elev[gets chloroformed]
anyway, the drippy blood on the bookcase is a match to 4x7's massacre. however, we're missing some blood splatters on the yellow and green stripes above the right drawing table.
wait a sec. is this 4x7 shot not also from dead drawing table kid's exact location?
--
dice
we never get a good view of this area during the massacre, but it's this spot seen best in 4x6's bullying scene:
--
and my personal favorite! Two:
they only let you see a quick glimpse of him, and most of that is very dark. the lights only flicker on in literally one single frame:
even though this is exactly the same footage we're used to from 4x7, it's not identical, it's been changed in post, and no I'm not just talking about the color grading:
in 4x3's flashbacks his eyes are clear, and in 4x7's version of the massacre they're trance-white.
sooooo. who's killing you in this timeline, bud?
so it's hard to say which version these closeups are consistent with because no single version of the massacre is even consistent within itself. but you know what these closeups ARE a match to?
the ones in the HNL Control Room trailer.
aka NINA.
but, again, El experienced these flashbacks while she was still in California. before the s4 NINA plot even picks up.
(Regina George voice) so you agree? NINA has been used before?
another option is the inverse - that El's legit memories are the source of these images and NINA is their destination - they've been taped out of her head and the HNLCRT is a demo of that footage being shown to someone else. however that still requires that something super screwy is going on with El's memories well before the NINAing of 1986.
or, third option, this trailer isn't part of canon. but that's no fun.
I have a lot more to say but it belongs in my other RR analysis. let's just end here before I lose my mind
#nobody move I'm already waist deep in a trance-eyes analysis post#so even her pre NINA86 memories are showing multiple timelines. girl wyd. did one of you die in 79#givehimthemedicine analysis#analysis#mine#random observations#massacre stuff#flashing gif

alli!! bestie!!
I submit this to you on a silver platter: rooster + angst + picture frame + "just breathe"
kisses!!
This one hurt a little (a lot). I'm so not sorry.
----
warnings: angsty angst.
California King
His bed felt too big.
It had always been a source of comfort for him, before. It was where the two of you could escape the rest of the world. You’d spend your mornings burrowed under the blankets, legs tangled together as you woke, and your nights tangled in the sheets as your bodies came together. It was a place just for you together. No bad could touch you here.
But you were gone now, and the empty space beside him that you always used to fill felt like an ocean with a rising tide.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, his hands braced on the mattress at his sides, Bradley could feel the tightening starting in his chest, the anxiety creeping its way up his spine to wrap around his throat in the way that had become familiar in the last two weeks.
“Just breathe,” he whispered to himself. His voice was raspy from disuse. He hadn’t had the energy to speak to anyone, despite their best efforts. Not when the only one he wanted to talk to was out of his reach now. “Just breathe, just breathe.”
His coaching was helping, if even just a little bit. He thought maybe he’d get through this episode without slipping into a full blown panic attack. But then he looked up, and his red rimmed caught sight of the picture frame he still kept on his side of the bed. Your smiling face stared back at him. You looked so happy there, so carefree and so in love, and he was just the same with his arm wrapped around your shoulder like it belonged there. Because you were, and because it did.
He picked up the 4x6 wooden frame, tracing a shaking finger over your face. As tears welled up and slipped down his cheeks, he wondered when things had changed, and how things could possibly ever be okay again.

This frame is bigger than the picture makes it look (those are all 4x6 inch pictures) but I still have so much wall space.
At least people keep stumbling across more photo frames (this one my mother found out for free on a sidewalk with a bunch of other, smaller ones) but at this rate I'm going to have to take more pictures just to fill them

How much sad did you think I had in me?
More than I would have originally assumed.
There's a trading card game called Disney Lorcana that has a group that meets up at the local game shop on Saturday mornings, and I've been trying to go at least once a week.
I missed last week because I was really sick with the kidney infection that's better now.
I got up early this morning, got myself looking nice, and hyped myself up to go because I need to be social with people in person.
When I showed up, it had been cancelled without any announcement on the Discord server for the game shop.
I didn't expect it to make me as sad and disappointed as it did.
I've been working on my new room today, getting my desk cleaned up and bookshelf put back together the way I wanted it to be.
My ex-husband had two throw pillows for what used to be his futon that is now my bed. They're are dark gray patterned and very him.
I definitely want to put them on my ottoman storage bench.
I think the first thing I'm going to have to actually purchase, in what I'm aiming to be my very minimal purchases for making this room mine, is a set of throw pillow covers.
I'm pretty sure I've already picked out the ones I want. They're a highly reviewed "dusty pink" velvet set.
My ex-husband is coming by later this evening to help me hang shelves on the wall and move my empty 45g tank onto my aquarium stand so I can set it back up again and plant it.
I'm going to allow my plants enough time to get well-established before I move my snails over.
They decimated my last set of plants. (I might need to up how much I feed them. I didn't want to overfeed and cause an ammonia spike.)
The next order of business after the aquarium and shelves go up is putting up what wall coverings I already have and figure out what I'm going to need for the rest of the walls.
I have a few packages of 4x6 and 5x7 wall picture frames around here somewhere that I need to find, and it will be so much easier to find them after I get the shelf (or shelves -- I have two) on the wall and put up some of the stuff that's scattered everywhere right now.
I hate, hate, HATE the chaos I am surrounded by at the moment. So much.

Ultimate Guide to 4x6 Photo Dimensions
One of the most common and heavily used photo print sizes is 4x6. Being a photographer, graphic designer, or hobbyist who frames pictures in a particular dimension is a must-knowledge when printing photos at this scale, as accuracy in these units such as inches, pixels, centimeters, and millimeters units may ensure that those prints will be just exactly right. In this guide, we will dive deep into everything you need to know about the 4x6 photo size, from converting it between measurement systems to tips for resizing and cropping, and its application. PhotoCut also helps you crop images according to your needs.
What is a 4x6 Photo?
One of the most common photo print sizes is 4x6. Despite being the measurement that specifies an image that‘s 4 inches high and 6 inches wide, it is well-known for its adaptability. With a 3:2 aspect ratio, the image contains two height units for every three width units. These dimensions apply not only to printing photographs but also to digital photography, especially shots with DSLRs and more camera lenses on many hand-held devices.
A 4x6 photo is big enough to show detail but small enough to fit easily in albums, frames, and other displays. For that reason, it's often the default size for personal photographs, professional prints, and photo gifts. If someone talks about a "4x6 photo," they're usually talking about these dimensions. You can also learn about passport photo sizes and make them using PhotoCut.
How Big is a 4x6 Photo in Inches?
The most common description of the size of a 4x6 photo is in inches. As its name suggests, a 4x6 photo measures:
4 inches high (height)
6 inches wide (width)
These measurements are critical for anyone who plans to print or frame a 4x6 photo, as they determine the size of the frame or the photo album slot. These dimensions are usually the ones most photo printing services and home printers use for printing standard photographs, thus making it a good option for easy usage in displays.
Aspect Ratio of a 4x6 Photo
A 4x6 photo has an aspect ratio of 3:2; therefore, the width measures 1.5 times more than the height: 6 inches and 4 inches, respectively. The aspect ratio is standard for traditional 35mm film photography, digital photography, and smartphone camera settings. If one is cropping or re-sizing images, it makes the aspect ratio important as this is how to achieve no distortion in the proportions.
How Big is a 4x6 Photo in Pixels?
Digital images can be described mainly based on the pixel size of the photo. Its clarity and sharpness depend entirely on the pixel measurement, typically given in pixels per inch. The number of pixels contained within an inch describes PPI. The larger the number, the sharper an image will appear, primarily if it is printed out.
For a 4x6 photo, the pixel dimensions are dependent on the resolution (PPI) at which the image is created or printed. Let’s break down the common pixel dimensions at various resolutions:
At 300 PPI (the recommended print resolution for sharp, high-quality prints), a 4x6 photo will have:
1200 pixels wide
1800 pixels high
When printed at 4x6 size, this resolution guarantees that the image is crisp and clear with no pixelation or blur. Professional photographers and others who need superior images for framing should pay particular attention to this.
At 150 PPI (a lower resolution, suitable for standard prints), a 4x6 photo will have:
600 pixels wide
900 pixels high
This resolution can be used for personal prints, but the clarity won’t be as high as at 300 PPI. However, it might still be acceptable for casual viewing or prints that won’t be displayed close up.
At 72 PPI (screen resolution, typically used for images viewed on a computer screen), a 4x6 photo will have:
288 pixels wide
432 pixels high
This resolution is not suitable for printing because it’s too low to produce a sharp, high-quality photo. It’s mainly used for digital purposes, such as sharing images on websites or social media.
How to Determine PPI for Printing
To get the ideal pixel dimensions for printing, you need to calculate the required PPI based on the print size. It often says for best print resolution quality set the target PPI at 300. To ensure that photos appear sharp, look at your image's pixel dimensions if you are printing it at that specific size.
For example:
A picture that is at least 1200 × 1800 pixels is needed to print a 4x6 photo at 300 PPI.
You need to adjust your image if it’s 600 x 900 pixels, since it may blur when printed as 4x6.
How Big is a 4x6 Photo in Centimeters and Millimeters?
One occasionally has to convert inches to other dimensions in millimeters or centimeters, particularly when working with various print requirements or international standards. If you convert inches to some other measure, use these conversion factors:
1 inch = 2.54 centimeters
1 inch = 25.4 millimeters
So, for a 4x6 photo:
In centimeters:
4 inches × 2.54 = 10.16 cm
6 inches × 2.54 = 15.24 cm
Therefore, the size of a 4x6 photo in centimeters is 10.16 cm by 15.24 cm.
In millimeters:
4 inches × 25.4 = 101.6 mm
6 inches × 25.4 = 152.4 mm
Hence, in millimeters, the size of a 4x6 photo would measure 101.6mm by 152.4mm.
These conversions come in handy if you work with international print services or require printing images in the metric system.
Common Uses of 4x6 Photos
The 4x6 photo is commonly applied in all sorts of different applications from personal use like photo albums to commercial purposes. You can also create PNGs using PhotoCut with your 4x6 photos. A few examples include:
1. Standard Photo Prints

Tips for Resizing and Cropping 4x6 Photos
If you have a photo that you want to print but its size does not exactly fit 4x6, there's an option of resizing it and cropping the image for its right dimensions. Tools that exist like PhotoCut come in handy when cropping or resizing your picture to size. You can also edit the text in your 4x6 photos using PhotoCut.
How to Resize and Crop Photos
Resize: Your photo could be too big, therefore you can resize it so that the picture will find a proper fit in the dimension 4x6 without stretching the image or reshaping its aspect ratio.
Crop: If your image does not have the perfect 3:2 dimension, the best solution is cropping because it removes pieces of an image but makes sure its central focus has been captured.
By using tools like PhotoCut, you can adjust your photo easily and ensure that it fits perfectly into the 4x6 format without losing image quality or detail.
Print Quality and Considerations
When printing a photo from a 4x6 ratio, print quality counts highly. Here are some steps taken for the best outcomes with such prints:
Resolution: As far as the print resolution is concerned, have at least 300 pixels per inch. Then ensure the photo looks professional, shiny, and crisp after 4x6 sizes while printed.
Paper Type: Use high-quality photo paper like glossy or matte for excellent printing. Glossy offers very bright colors, whereas matte gives a more classic, subtle look.
Printer Settings: Make sure the printer is set to print in high resolution. For an online printing service, upload the photo at the right size and resolution.
Conclusion
A 4x6 photo is timeless and versatile for any personal print or professional photography work. Its measurements in inches, pixels, centimeters, or millimeters guarantee that your prints will look just as you had imagined. When it comes to scaling, cropping, or printing, understanding the dimensions of a 4x6 photo can help you produce flawless prints that showcase your favorite moments.
FAQs
Q1. What is a 4x6 photo's pixel count?
Ans. The dimensions of a 4x6 image at 300 PPI are 1200 pixels wide by 1800 pixels height. It would measure 600 pixels in width and 900 pixels in height at 150 PPI.
Q2. Can my 4x6 photo be resized without sacrificing quality?
Ans. Yes, but only if you start with a high-resolution picture. As long as the resolution is maintained, reducing a photo to 4x6 won't result in any quality loss.
Q3. What is a 4x6 photo's aspect ratio?
Ans. The width of a 4x6 picture is 1.5 times the height or a 3:2 aspect ratio.
Q4. For 4x6 photographs, what is the ideal paper size?

More crafting chronicles {long post incoming}
I’ve had an idea for a while to make a little Navi (plain amigurumi didn’t seem Cool Enough) but I wasn’t sure how to do it until I got more into embroidery
The idea process and early development went kinda like:
yarn pompom body ->
wings done in wire work to be cut out ->
how attach?? Even if I got the wings somehow secured to the Pom the whole thing wouldn’t sit or hang upright ->
sew Pom to fabric instead then ->
Fabric being attached to can go in a 4x6 frame I forgot to return bc it didn’t show All 4x6 of whatever you put inside
So then came the Experimentation Phase
I wanted to see if there was any way to make the pompom with a gradient effect (white to bluish). The answer is not rrrealllyy? At least for how I want the gradient to Look (all around and not just on One hemisphere). I was also using a clothespin to make the Pom so that might have something to do with it…
Next trial was white yarn + dusting it with blue eyeshadow on the outer parts as I wrapped it. This did kinda work but the effect was lost after trimming (I did not realize how much trimming is necessary)
I did however spread the color all around to make it a nice light blue and spent like an hour combing it to be fluffy. Too bad I wrecked it days later trying to see if I could wipe off some of the makeup for a gradient…
Then I wasn’t sure what to sew it Onto since I don’t have a wide variety of fabrics to choose from. I did have a plain white cotton quarter that I went with, but I also didn’t want to embroider an entire background bc I want to give this to my brother for chrimbus
I remember seeing some posts in the embroidery Reddit about painting the parts of an embroidery you couldn’t/didn’t finish so I was like cool I’ll just do that for the background (hubris). Did a quick test on scrap fabric to make sure I could embroider through it without the dried paint like crusting all over the thread or something
That worked, so then I had to figure out how to paint for reals. I have not painted a full/original image since probably middle school art class. And all I have are cheap kiddie acrylic paints from Michael’s lol
Made a swatch matrix thing to get an idea of what basic combos/ratios of colors will result in. This is my first draft for testing mixing and how to fill up the space that’ll be in the picture frame. Mostly used sponges bc I’m just going for a vague bg reminiscent of n64 kokiri forest
Not bad, not great for an amateur first go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Then p much right after, I worked on the for Reals version that I’m much prouder of. I remembered to use the cyan-ish green paint for mixing and actually used a brush lol. And tried what I assume are basic painting techniques (cover area fully with a dark or mid tone color, then layer on lighter shades and potentially go back to some of the darker shades again for details)
The next day I did some final details—adding some dark green to the grass and making sparklies. Made those of holo face highlighter liquid mixed with metallic gold and metallic teal paints respectively, and “painted” them using the top of a knitting needle. I think I might’ve taken this after spraying a little sealer on it
I made a new pompom out of white yarn with the fork method but I haven’t cut the loops yet bc I wanted to borrow some lighter blue eyeshadow from my sister to dust with. But she’s all “nooo I had an allergic reaction or it gave me conjunctivitis so you can’t use it for arts and crafts”. So no photo of the Pom since it’s unfinished
Got started on the wings as well! I’m making it out of iridescent organza
Used my new UST projector and my previous Pom to get the right proportions on some game arts to trace the wings onto stabilizer (well, onto a junk mail envelope then onto stabilizer folded in half for perfect mirror copy)
I have 26? Or 28 gauge wire that’s teal ish, which is nice bc I’m working with shiny floss that doesn’t hold its shape the same as cotton floss so there are gaps between my buttonhole stitches securing the wire. Felt like I didn’t really get into the hang of a consistent buttonhole until the end of the strand (top of the shape). At least I’ll get in plenty of practice on these bottom wings before starting the top wings
Also this hoop is super nice. It’s one of those plastic ones with a metal ring you squeeze like a hand exerciser thing to fit into the inner groove of the plastic. I couldn’t figure it out when I’d tried it a while ago with like regular-density fabric, but it’s perfect for how thin the organza is. I couldn’t get it evenly tensioned with the wood hoops I had bc it would slip through the tiny irregularities in the wood shape
The backside better shows the thread color :3 also probably the neatest back side I’ve ever done, out of necessity. I hope it’ll cut out well… I’m worried it’ll get messed up bc of how thin the fabric is :/ or if I’ll be able to tear away the stabilizer without messing up the stitching either…
#long post#wip#embroidery#real pepper crafting hours#nottt really sure how it’ll go sticking the painted fabric into/onto the picture frame…#I might press the fabric under some books again to make sure it’s flatter
