All this fun little goblin action, which is great to see, instead became inter-cutting with Sarah trying to make her way through the Labyrinth. And I remember that was George, George Lucas, was doing this weird thing called non parallel editing on computers and none of us knew what the heck he was talking about because everybody knows you edit movie with film, and George had this other weird way of doing it, which of course now is the only way people edit.

But I remember George was doing some simultaneous edits that he was sending back and forth to my dad and saying 'Hey, what do you think of this? What do you think of that?' And I know this deep inter-cutting of Sarah going through The Labyrinth inter-cut with Jareth singing to Toby. That was definitely initiated by George. And I think was a good choice. Judy's tattoos are so beautiful and well done, and so iconic to her character. But I always wondered how they'd look on V; so here we are.

They are 85% accurate. I say 85 and not 100, because I got the seams on the garter as close as I could, and had to adjust the position on Vs leg to account for warping and such. 

I also had to adjust the shark tattoo, because it crosses onto the back, and was proving a literal pain in the ass to get right.

But I am very happy with how they turned out, and believe they look more than accurate enough to please my fellow Judy Tattoo appreciators.

These are the images from the game files, found via Wolvenkit, so they aren't 4k or anything; but still look super pretty. In the future, if I ever have time, I will either redraw or find a way to upscale them. 

For now though? Yeah, I think they look great!

Song Review(s): Dead & Company - “Let the Good Times Roll” & “Eyes of the World” - (Live, July 1, 2023)

With a Bob Weir guitar solo & Jeff Chimenti taking a (thankfully) rare turn on co-lead vocals, Dead & Company’s version of “Let the Good Times Roll” is invariably not tuneful nor, in fact, good. & the band continued the trend July 1 in Colorado.

All of which placed the show opener in stark relief with the second-set opener - “Eyes of the World” - both of which were given away from the group’s associated pay-per-view livestream from the first show at the third-to-last city on its Final Tour.

Sung by Weir & backed with wobbly harmonies on the chorus, “Eyes” was a musical volcano of tight-as-a-knot rhythm section & solos from guitarist John Mayer & keyboardist Chimenti, whose playing is as hot as his singing is cold. Like Mayer’s improvisation that preceded it after verse No. 1, Chimenti’s acoustic-piano showcase after verse No. 2 was the stuff that makes a fine art of jamming, as drummers Mickey Hart & Jay Lane got a workout of epic proportions.
