Danny is there for every Hero Death

Ever heard of SCP-4999, a man who appears at the deathbed of anybody who dies alone to offer them some final comfort? That's Danny for all Hero Deaths.

He's there for Superman when he is killed by Doomsday, leading him to the Afterlife with a kind smile

He's there for Barry Allen when he dies, letting him know that he can finally stop running.

He's there for Stephanie Brown when she dies of her Wounds in Dr Leslie's office, holding her hand as she passes

And he's there with Jason Todd when he is betrayed by his mother and killed by the Joker, offering a shoulder to cry on as the building explodes

He is the comforting presence there to sooth all Heroes in their final moments, because he never had one in his own.

Fandom Problem #4999:

Considering how weirdly rude and judgemental ppl from other countries are to each other (don't act like it's just Americans who do this either, people from other countries definitely do this too), I'm almost tempted to make a video titled "TOP 10 MOST UNPROBLEMATIC COUNTRIES THAT HAVE NO CORRUPT POLITICIANS, BAD PRACTICES, ECONOMIC PROBLEMS, ZERO WAR CRIMES, BIGOTRY, OR PROBLEMATIC MEDIA AND EVERYONE IS SUPER NICE TO EACH OTHER!!" and then the video itself is just a black fucking screen because there's no such thing as a *perfect* country (or hell, a "perfect" anything) and people don't deserve to be treated as lesser just because they were born in a certain land.

Whenever I feel sad or want a little cry, the thing to always do it is SCP-4999. The idea that for no matter who you are or what you’ve done, someone will be there with you in your final moments is so tragically beautiful. One of my all time favourite SCPs.

Danny is alone when he opens the portal.

It doesn't kill him, not immediately. He's blasted free from the gateway and lays on the ground, paralyzed with agony. He's absorbed enough ectoplasm that it'll resurrect him, but it's going to kill him first.

As he lays there, burning from the inside out, he notices a shadow against the swirling green.

The first ghost to step through the portal is a plain-looking man in a dark suit. He is utterly silent. He crosses the room to kneel next to Danny. He takes Danny's hand in his. And he waits.

Danny opened the portal alone, but he did not die alone.
