listen I'm not normally this mean but I have to say it
because this has been stewing hatefully inside me for months
if I could explode two leaker translations out of existence one of them would be this
Tumblr media
it literally ignores a whole verb and bizarrely misinterprets a few other words, which totally diminishes the importance of what Katsuki is saying
in what universe does THIS WORD
Tumblr media
Wiktionary
mean "for a while"?
especially combined with THIS??
Tumblr media
Jisho
Katsuki uses a combination of verbs to describe how things are: "competing with each other" and "chasing." the leaker totally disregarded the second one for some reason.
because of how the leakers spread misinformation and how a chunk of the fandom holds a grudge against the official translation, tons of people just straight-up don't even know that this is neither official nor accurate. and it kills me.
IT KILLS ME TO SEE THE VERB FOR CHASING—a word of huge importance for bkdk specifically—ERASED WITH "AND STUFF"!!!!
IT KILLS ME TO SEE KATSUKI'S "ZUTTO KONO MAMA" MISTRANSLATED INTO "FOR A WHILE"!!!!
god I can't believe anybody in the fandom accepts this. I’ve seen people accuse the official translator of “hating bkdk” and “erasing bkdk,” but apparently the leaker can just ruin Katsuki’s most tender, intimate confession and it's all good? people are just gonna keep using this in their meta posts and fanworks?? we’re not gonna collectively acknowledge this fucking sucks!?
cool
the official translation is a work of art and everyone should fucking appreciate it.
Tumblr media
I don't ask for much guys but I'm begging you to stop making me see that miserable butchering of my boys all over again

I started this project in october 2023 as part of a bigger conworld project called Kena'ar (which i document over on @velaraffricate!). Many different languages are spoken in this world, but Ke'eloom is the lingua franca and the language used when it comes to spiritual matters, so it will be used for the text on the cards.
The structure of the deck functions as follows: There are 64 cards in total, four for each of the sixteen deities worshipped by the people of Kena'ar. These deities, also called "houses" in the context of Sakam, are grouped into four "wheels". The four cards within a house, four houses within a wheel, and everything all together, tell the story of journeys through life, cycles within cycles.
This deck of cards is used in-world for divination purposes similarly to how tarot is used in our world. Sakam readers are highly revered in their society and are usually monks or otherwise very pious people that fully devote their lives to Sakam. The people of this world take it very seriously and often consult it when they're faced with obstacles, difficult decisions, interpersonal conflicts, or complex emotions. They believe that the cards serve as a conduit between the material world and the world of the gods.
Readings are usually done in special rooms or buildings used exclusively for this purpose. These spaces tend to be kept rather dark, being only illuminated by candles or torches, to create a more intimate environment. Some readers like to burn incense, take certain drugs, ingest specific foods or drinks, or touch sacred objects like crystals or small sculptures before doing a reading, but this is highly dependent upon their personal religious practices.
The phrase tshakh lidëŋ lideshuŋa, ezarekon, sakamëkhe sikhonsaka vin drakon liil roka, meaning "We call you to us, great Creator, bless the Sakam and be our guide", initiates each reading (The sixteen deities are all parts of a greater whole, called the Creator. More on the gods's names later). The reader then begins shuffling their cards while the inquirer asks their question. Broad, open-ended questions are preferred over simple yes/no questions. They may enter into a short conversation, but typically readers prefer not to know too much about their client's situations, as to not let subconscious bias cloud their reading (some even refuse to read for family members and close friends at all). There are multiple ways cards can be chosen. Some readers will ask the readee to cut the deck wherever they want, and then pull from the cards at the top in the order they appear. Others will spread out all cards face-down in front of them and let the readee hover their hand over the deck, pulling the cards that call to them. The reading is concluded with the phrase tshakh lideshoŋa, ezarekon, otu godeshaikhe khoro tshal linde tshamburaŋa. tshashalaudaŋa, meaning "We thank you, great creator, for sharing your holy knowledge with us. Be praised". While inhabiting the Sakam-reading space, the reader and readee aren't allowed to speak to each other before and after these holy phrases are spoken.
Numerology is a very important factor in Sakam. The number 1 is associated with the self, 2 represents connections to other people, 3 material possessions and connection to one's environment, and 4 spiritual matters. As will be further explained in the next section, each card has a three-digit number, and which digits appear in said number influence its meaning and interpretation.
Another thing to note is that unlike (sometimes) tarot, Sakam cards are never reversed. All cards contain both positive and negative aspects, and it's up to the reader to interpret them appropriately.
There are many different possibilities for how the cards may be designed, but the layout for the ones I'll be showing off here function like this:
Tumblr media
[Image description: A white playing card. A square in the top left corner is labelled as 1, a rectangle in the top right corner as 2, a rectangle at the bottom as 3, and the middle of the card as 4. End description.]
1 is the sigil corresponding to the deity the card belongs to. Speaking the gods's true names is considered highly disrespectful outside of religious rituals, so they each have a sort of "code name" and sigil that can be used in place of their name (As we saw earlier, the sum of all gods is called "the Creator", but its true name is Ekho). 2 is the number corresponding to the card. The first digit is the wheel, the second the house, and the third the placement within the house, so they go from 111 to 444. Fun fact! Ke'eloom actually uses a seximal base, although that won't become relevant here. 3 is the name of the card in Ke'eloom. 4 is the illustration. Here too there can be many different interpretations and art styles, I'm simply showing one possibility.
Finally, I'll be giving some context to how the cards's meaning will be explained.
➽ Illustration: A description of the image for the benefit of those who use screen readers, but also for me to explain my decisions, provide worldbuilding context and describe common variations one might see in other decks. ➽ General description: An explanation of the card's meaning. Keep in mind that it isn't 100% fixed and inflexible - it also depends on the other cards in a spread and the story they all tell together, and in-world I'd imagine different cultures and schools of thought could have slightly differing interpretations. ➽ Advice: What are your strengths, what is the best way to proceed on your journey? Highlights the card's more positive aspects. ➽ Warning: What do you need to keep in mind, what negative habits could hinder you? Highlights the card's more negative aspects. ➽ As a person: In some spreads, a card can be pulled to represent a person's mindset or actions. This section explains how a card in such a position might be interpreted. ➽ Finding love: While this and the next section will typically be answered from a romantic perspective, "love" here can mean anything from platonic, romantic, sexual, and beyond. It can even be applicable to a job or hobby. This part is for when you're seeking something new… ➽ Holding love: …and this one is for when you're looking for advice about a relationship you're already in. ➽ Spirituality: This section will be answered from an in-world religious perspective. The basic gist is that worshipping different gods grants one a buff, so to speak, in the magic spells related to that god. People might seek advice on how to further develop their magical abilities or if their current worship practices are the right path for them.
…And I think that should cover everything! Thank you for reading, I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have :3

SAINT OF THE DAY (March 31)
Tumblr media
St. Benjamin was born in the year AD 329 in Iran.
There was a period of great persecution of Christians in Persia that lasted for forty years.
It was facilitated by two Persian kings named Isdegerd, who passed away in 421, and his son and successor, Varanes V.
This persecution was triggered when a Christian bishop named Abdas burned down the Temple of Fire, which was a sacred sanctuary of the Persians.
The bishop was asked to rebuild that temple but he refused, stating that he cannot partake in such profanity.
During these times, Christians were subjected to extreme tortures. Benjamin was unfortunately one of those imprisoned for his Christian faith.
The torture was so inhumane. Some of the torturing methods were flaying of hands and backs. Sometimes the skin of the head was stripped.
Imprisonment
Benjamin, who was a deacon, was imprisoned for a year. The Eastern Roman Emperor Theodosius II, through an ambassador, facilitated his release.
The ambassador agreed on Benjamin’s behalf that he will be released on the condition that he will abandon the preaching and speaking about his Christian religion.
Benjamin, on the other hand, did not agree as he strongly believed that it was his duty to evangelize and tell others about Christ.
He continued to preach, which resulted in him being arrested again.
The emperor then ordered that Benjamin be tortured, after the former had asked the latter to deny Him whom he worshiped. Benjamin assertively refused.
Reeds were stuck under his nails, both on the toes and fingers, and they were drawn. The process was repeated with violence.
The reeds were also inserted into some of his tender parts. A knotty stake was also thrust into his bowels resulting in the tearing of his internal organs.
This was the final straw that resulted in him becoming a martyr for his Christian faith in the year AD 424.
He showed Christians that no matter how much pain they endured, they must continue proclaiming the gospel.
Benjamin’s feast day is celebrated on March 31. He is known as the patron saint of the preachers.

"The Emphasis." From the Book of Nehemiah, "the Exploration of the Mysteries of the Lions that Lay," 3: 28-29.
Tumblr media
Next we learn the Nsh must also be a special kind of priest called a Zadok, "the embodiment of the knowledge of the Zohar."
The Zohar "the incandescent shiner" is the elemental energy of the knowledge of the Holy Spirit that is found in the structures and lessons in the Torah and Tanakh, which includes the Talmud.
A Zadok "justifier" is one who has become a primary source of its light. One cannot get all Nshy and hit the road and the hole in the wall and refound a city, one has to have the body of a rock but also the heart of a star.
For this to happen, we need scores of priests to get their shit together, too. Men who cannot master the priestly arts are called horses and they are what this sounds like: tame or wild, very little in between:
28 Above the Horse Gate, the priests made repairs, each in front of his own house.
29 Next to them, Zadok son of Immer made repairs opposite his house. Next to him, Shemaiah son of Shekaniah, the guard at the East Gate, made repairs.
In order for the priesthood to be ready to get the Nsh ready above the Horse Gate, AKA the penis intenstine, one must employ Shemaiah son of Shekaniah who is in charge of purchasing...
Purchasing in Judaism is aligned with the divine aspect of the Jewish self called Shoftim, which means to purchase only that which is tasteful. So the Nsh must learn from a master how to purchase a horse with a fine intestine if he is to succeed at becoming a good priest himself, meaning nothing ritually impure enters or exits the Sacred Holey Places.
The Values in Gematria are:
v. 28: The priests made repairs to their houses. The Number is 3977, גט‎זז‎ ‎, "get moving."
v. 29: Zadok son of Immer made repairs opposite. This means "the Light always justifies." Opposite means 424, David, דוד, "the boilermaker."
Opposite the Horse Inststinator is David, the hot kettle steamer. To find David one must head East into the unknown but possible and find the Purchaser.
The Number is 5437, ה‎ד‎ג‎ז, "this is the emphasis." ‎

Breath of the Wild doesn't take place on any one specific timeline, but rather far enough in the future that the timelines converge again so all three lead to it*. This is why all three timelines are referenced in Zelda's speech when Link is made Champion, why we have both Zora and Rito, etc. According to Aonuma, the reasoning was because he felt it more fun for players to decide for themselves when things happen. Specifically:
"In books like the recently released The Legend of Zelda: Encyclopedia, we revealed where each Zelda game fell on a timeline and how their stories related, but we didn't do that for Breath of the Wild. There is a reason for that. With this game, we saw just how many players were playing in their own way and had those reactions I just mentioned. We realized that people were enjoying imagining the story that emerged from the fragmental imagery we were providing. If we defined a restricted timeline, then there would be a definitive story, and it would eliminate the room for imagination, which wouldn't be as fun. We want players to continue having fun imagining this world even after they are finished with the game, so, this time, we decided we would avoid making clarifications."
— Aonuma, Creating a Champion, pg 424
IMO, that's a load of nonsense, because they knew going into development it wouldn't be on any timeline branch, because of the dialogue and other inconsistencies. The REAL reason, imo, is that Nintendo has always been upfront about designing Zelda games gameplay first, story second. They didn't want to have to think about the timeline anymore, so they said, "timelines merge, end of discussion." This also fits with another alleged quote from Aonuma from Game Informer as well:
"I didn’t want to be chained up by the idea that we had to think about past titles."
(Quote is alleged because I don't have the magazine in front of me, unlike how I do have Creating a Champion.)
They literally just wanted to do whatever, and so they did.
So the "where does BotW/TotK fall on the timeline" question is . . . moot. Because Zelda Team decided to set it so far in the future that it doesn't matter anymore. Which actually brings me to my asterisk above:
*The timeline merge is one of two possible explanations. The other is that all three timelines inevitably lead to BotW, just as all three spawned from SS. This I find less likely, because of all the different games being mentioned in Zelda's speech, etc. But it could just as easily be Aonuma's intent, since he clearly doesn't have an explanation for the merge, either.
As to your original question . . . who knows! The Doylist reason that scene exists is because they needed a chance to lore dump about bathing the Master Sword in sacred power. But there is no canon Watsonian reason that I'm aware of, especially since the game doesn't recognize if you completed the Trial of the Sword (and therefore fully powered up the Master Sword) in BotW or not. It's just another area of TotK's writing that is not great, unfortunately.
Questions about the Master Sword that have cropped up for me as I play TOTK. Tears of the Kingdom spoiler below
Why did the Master Sword need to be healed by the Deku Tree in the cutscene in TotK? It seemed perfectly fine at the end of BotW. Also, why does Link still have the sword, put it back so its magic is replenished and, basically come back and retrieve it for no other reason than just because…. when at the time he and Zelda visit the Deku Tree there is no imminent danger or call to action?
More and more I am beginning to think BotW/TotK don’t fall on either the adult or child timeline and are their own alternate universe entirely.

Catechism of the Catholic Church
The sanctifying office
893 The bishop is "the steward of the grace of the supreme priesthood,"423 especially in the Eucharist which he offers personally or whose offering he assures through the priests, his co-workers. the Eucharist is the center of the life of the particular Church. the bishop and priests sanctify the Church by their prayer and work, by their ministry of the word and of the sacraments. They sanctify her by their example, "not as domineering over those in your charge but being examples to the flock."424 Thus, "together with the flock entrusted to them, they may attain to eternal life."425
The governing office
894 "The bishops, as vicars and legates of Christ, govern the particular Churches assigned to them by their counsels, exhortations, and example, but over and above that also by the authority and sacred power" which indeed they ought to exercise so as to edify, in the spirit of service which is that of their Master.426
895 "The power which they exercise personally in the name of Christ, is proper, ordinary, and immediate, although its exercise is ultimately controlled by the supreme authority of the Church."427 But the bishops should not be thought of as vicars of the Pope. His ordinary and immediate authority over the whole Church does not annul, but on the contrary confirms and defends that of the bishops. Their authority must be exercised in communion with the whole Church under the guidance of the Pope.
896 The Good Shepherd ought to be the model and "form" of the bishop's pastoral office. Conscious of his own weaknesses, "the bishop . . . can have compassion for those who are ignorant and erring. He should not refuse to listen to his subjects whose welfare he promotes as of his very own children.... the faithful ... should be closely attached to the bishop as the Church is to Jesus Christ, and as Jesus Christ is to the Father":428
Let all follow the bishop, as Jesus Christ follows his Father, and the college of presbyters as the apostles; respect the deacons as you do God's law. Let no one do anything concerning the Church in separation from the bishop.429

i mean you can read if you want? but it’s mainly for my own notes to refer back to.    hades in ovid metamorphoses book v & the orphic hymns
Bk V:332-384
Calliope sings: Cupid makes Dis fall in love
‘This much she played on her lute, with singing voice. Then called on us, - but perhaps you are not at leisure, or free to listen to a repetition of our music?’ ‘Do not stop’ said Pallas, ‘but sing your song again as you arranged it!’ and she sat amongst the light shadows of the grove. The Muse renewed her tale ‘We gave our best singer to the contest. Calliope, who rose, with her loose hair bound with ivy, tried out the plaintive strings with her fingers, then accompanied the wandering notes with this song.
‘“Ceres first turned the soil with curving plough, first ripened the crops and produce of the earth, first gave us laws: all things are Ceres’s gift. My song is of her. If only I could create a song in any way worthy of the goddess! This goddess is truly a worthy subject for my song.
‘“Trinacris, the vast isle of Sicily, had been heaped over the giant’s limbs, and with its great mass oppressed buried Typhoeus, he who had dared to aspire to a place in heaven. He struggles it’s true and often tries to rise, but his right hand is held by the promontory of Ausonian Pelorus, and his left hand by you, Pachynus. Lilybaeum presses on his legs, Etna weighs down his head, supine beneath it, Typhoeus throws ash from his mouth, and spits out flame. Often, a wrestler, he throws back the weight of earth, and tries to roll the high mountains and the cities from his body, and then the ground trembles, and even the lord of the silent kingdom is afraid lest he be exposed, and the soil split open in wide fissures, and the light admitted to scare the anxious dead.
‘“Fearing this disaster, the king of the dark had left his shadowy realm, and, drawn in his chariot by black horses, carefully circled the foundations of the Sicilian land. When he had checked and was satisfied that nothing was collapsing, he relinquished his fears. Then Venus, at Eryx, saw him moving, as she sat on the hillside, and embraced her winged son, Cupid, and said ‘My child, my hands and weapons, my power, seize those arrows, that overcome all, and devise a path for your swift arrows, to the heart of that god to whom the final share of the triple kingdom fell. You conquer the gods and Jupiter himself, the lords of the sea, and their very king, who controls the lords of the sea. Why is Tartarus excepted? Why not extend your mother’s kingdom and your own? We are talking of a third part of the world. And yet, as is evident to me, I am scorned in heaven, and Love’s power diminishes with mine.
‘“‘Don’t you see how Pallas, and the huntress Diana, forsake me? And Ceres’s daughter too, Proserpine, will be a virgin if we allow it, since she hopes to be like them. But you, if you delight in our shared kingdom, can mate the goddess to her uncle.’ So Venus spoke: he undid his quiver, and at his mother’s bidding took an arrow, one from a thousand, and none was sharper, more certain, or better obeyed the bow. Then he bent the pliant tips against his knee, and with his barbed arrow struck Dis in the heart.”’
“Venus of Eryx, from her mountain throne, Saw Hades and clasped her swift-winged son, and said: ‘Cupid, my child, my warrior, my power, Take those sure shafts with which you conquer all, And shoot your speedy arrows to the heart Of the great god to whom the last lot fell When the three realms were drawn. Your mastery Subdues the gods of heaven and even Jove, Subdues the ocean’s deities and him, Even him, who rules the ocean’s deities. Why should Hell lag behind? Why not there too Extend your mother’s empire and your own….? Then Cupid, guided by his mother, opened His quiver of all his thousand arrows Selected one, the sharpest and the surest, The arrow most obedient to the bow, And bent the pliant horn against his knee And shot the barbed shaft deep in Pluto’s heart.” ― Ovid, Metamorphoses
Bk V:385-424
Calliope sings: Dis and the abduction of Proserpine
‘“Not far from the walls of Enna, there is a deep pool. Pergus is its name. Caÿster does not hear more songs than rise from the swans on its gliding waves. A wood encircles the waters, surrounds them on every side, and its leaves act as a veil, dispelling Phoebus’s shafts. The branches give it coolness, and the moist soil, Tyrian purple flowers: there, it is everlasting Spring. While Proserpine was playing in this glade, and gathering violets or radiant lilies, while with girlish fondness she filled the folds of her gown, and her basket, trying to outdo her companions in her picking, Dis, almost in a moment, saw her, prized her, took her: so swift as this, is love. The frightened goddess cries out to her mother, to her friends, most of all to her mother, with piteous mouth. Since she had torn her dress at the opening, the flowers she had collected fell from her loosened tunic, and even their scattering caused her virgin tears. The ravisher whipped up his chariot, and urged on the horses, calling them by name, shaking out the shadowy, dark-dyed, reins, over their necks and manes, through deep pools, they say, and the sulphurous reeking swamps of the Palici, vented from a crevice of the earth, to Syracuse where the Bacchiadae, a people born of Corinth between two seas, laid out their city between unequal harbours.
‘“Between Cyane and Pisaean Arethusa, there is a bay enclosed by narrow arms. Here lived Cyane, best known of the Sicilian nymphs, from whom the name of the spring was also taken. She showed herself from the pool as far as her waist, and recognising the goddess, cried out to Dis, ‘No’, and ‘Go no further!’ ‘You cannot be Ceres’s son against her will: the girl should have been asked, and not abused. If it is right for me to compare small things with great, Anapis prized me and I wedded him, but I was persuaded by talk and not by terror.’ Speaking, she stretched her arms out at her sides, obstructing him. The son of Saturn could scarcely contain his wrath, and urging on the dread horses, he turned his royal sceptre with powerful arm, and plunged it through the bottom of the pool. The earth, pierced, made a road to Tartarus, and swallowed the headlong chariot, into the midst of the abyss.
Bk V:425-486
Calliope sings: Ceres searches for Proserpine
‘“Cyane, mourning the abduction of the goddess, and the contempt for the sanctities of her fountain, nursed an inconsolable grief in her silent heart, and pined away wholly with sorrow. She melted into those waters whose great goddess she had previously been. You might see her limbs becoming softened, her bones seeming pliant, her nails losing their hardness. First of all the slenderest parts dissolve: her dusky hair, her fingers and toes, her feet and ankles (since it is no great transformation from fragile limbs to cool waters). Next her breast and back, shoulders and flanks slip away, vanishing into tenuous streams. At last the water runs in her ruined veins, and nothing remains that you could touch.
‘“Meanwhile the mother, fearing, searches in vain for the maid, through all the earth and sea. Neither the coming of dewy-haired Aurora, nor Hesperus, finds her resting. Lighting pine torches with both hands at Etna’s fires, she wanders, unquiet, through the bitter darkness, and when the kindly light has dimmed the stars, she still seeks her child, from the rising of the sun till the setting of the sun.
‘“She found herself thirsty and weary from her efforts, and had not moistened her lips at any of the springs, when by chance she saw a hut with a roof of straw, and she knocked on its humble door. At that sound, an old woman emerged, and saw the goddess, and, when she asked for water, gave her something sweet made with malted barley. While she drank what she had been given a rash, foul-mouthed boy stood watching, and taunted her, and called her greedy. The goddess was offended, and threw the liquid she had not yet drunk, mixed with the grains of barley, in his face. His skin, absorbing it, became spotted, and where he had once had arms, he now had legs. A tail was added to his altered limbs, and he shrank to a little shape, so that he has no great power to harm. He is like a lesser lizard, a newt, of tiny size. The old woman wondered and wept, and, trying to touch the creature, it ran from her and searched out a place to hide. It has a name fitting for its offence, stellio, its body starred with various spots.
‘“It would take too long to tell through what lands and seas the goddess wandered. Searching the whole earth, she failed to find her daughter: she returned to Sicily, and while crossing it from end to end, she came to Cyane, who if she had not been changed would have told all. But though she wished to, she had neither mouth nor tongue, nor anything with which to speak. Still she revealed clear evidence, known to the mother, and showed Persephone’s ribbon, fallen, by chance, into the sacred pool. As soon as she recognised it, the goddess tore her dishevelled hair, and beat her breast again and again with her hands, as if she at last comprehended the abduction. She did not know yet where Persephone was, but condemned all the lands, and called them thankless and unworthy of her gift of corn, Sicily, that Trinacria, above all, where she had discovered the traces of her loss.
‘“So, in that place, with cruel hands, she broke the ploughs that turned up the soil, and, in her anger, dealt destruction to farmers, and the cattle in their fields, alike, and ordered the ever-faithful land to fail, and spoiled the sowing. The fertility of that country, acclaimed throughout the world, was spoken of as a fiction: the crops died as young shoots, destroyed by too much sun, and then by too much rain. Wind and weather harmed them, and hungry birds gathered the scattered seed. Thistles and darnel and stubborn grasses ruined the wheat harvest.
Bk V:487-532
Calliope sings: Ceres asks Jupiter’s help
‘“Then Arethusa, once of Elis, whom Alpheus loved, lifted her head from her pool, and brushed the wet hair from her forehead, saying ‘O great goddess of the crops, mother of that virgin sought through all the earth, end your fruitless efforts, and do not anger yourself so deeply against the faithful land. The land does not deserve it: it opened to the abduction against its will. It is not my country, I pray for: I came here as a stranger. Pisa is my country, and Elis is my source. I am a foreigner in Sicily, but its soil is more to me than other lands. Here is my home: here are my household gods. Most gentle one, preserve it. A fitting time will come for me to tell you, how I moved from my country, and came to Ortygia, over such a great expanse of sea, when you are free of care, and of happier countenance. The fissured earth showed me a way, and slipping below the deepest caverns, here, I lifted up my head, and saw the unfamiliar stars.
‘“‘So, while I glided underground down there, among Stygian streams, with these very eyes, I saw your Proserpine. She was sad indeed, but, though her face was fearful still, she was nevertheless a queen, the greatest one among the world of shadows, the powerful consort, nevertheless, of the king of hell!’ The mother was stunned to hear these words, as if petrified, and was, for a long time, like someone thunderstruck, until the blow of deep amazement became deep indignation. She rose, in her chariot, to the realms of heaven. There, her whole face clouded with hate, she appeared before Jove with dishevelled hair.
‘“‘Jupiter I have come to you in entreaty for my child and for your own’ she cried. ‘If the mother finds no favour with you, let the daughter move you, and do not let your concern for her be less, I beg you, because I gave her birth. See, the daughter I have searched for so long, has been found, if you call it finding to lose her more surely, if you call it finding merely to know where she is. I can bear the fact that she has been abducted, if he will only return her! A spoiler is not worthy to be the husband of your daughter, even if she is no longer my daughter.’ Jupiter replied ‘Our child is a pledge and a charge, between us, you and I. But if only we are willing to give things their right names, the thing is not an insult in itself: the truth is it is love. He would not be a shameful son-in-law for us, if only you would wish it, goddess. How great a thing it is to be Jupiter’s brother, even if all the rest is lacking! Why, what if there is nothing lacking at all, except what he yielded to me by lot? But if you have such a great desire to separate them, Proserpine shall return to heaven, but on only one condition, that no food has touched her lips, since that is the law, decreed by the Fates.’
Bk V:533-571
Calliope sings: Persephone’s fate
‘“He spoke, and Ceres felt sure of regaining her daughter. But the Fates would not allow it, for the girl had broken her fast, and wandering, innocently, in a well-tended garden, she had pulled down a reddish-purple pomegranate fruit, hanging from a tree, and, taking seven seeds from its yellow rind, squeezed them in her mouth. Ascalaphus was the only one to see it, whom, it is said, Orphne bore, to her Acheron, in the dark woods, she not the least known of the nymphs of Avernus. He saw, and by his cruel disclosure, prevented Proserpine’s return.              Then the queen of Erebus grieved, and changed the informant into a bird of ill omen: she sprinkled his head with water from the Phlegethon, and changed him to a beak, plumage, and a pair of huge eyes. Losing his own form he is covered by his tawny wings, and looks like a head, and long, curving claws. He scarcely stirs the feathers growing on his idle wings. He has become an odious bird, a messenger of future disaster, the screech owl, torpid by day, a fearful omen to mortal creatures.
‘“He indeed can be seen to have deserved his punishment, because of his disclosure and his words. But why have you, Sirens, skilled in song, daughters of Acheloüs, the feathers and claws of birds, while still bearing human faces? Is it because you were numbered among the companions, when Proserpine gathered the flowers of Spring? When you had searched in vain for her on land, you wanted, then, to cross the waves on beating wings, so that the waters would also know of your trouble. The gods were willing, and suddenly you saw your limbs covered with golden plumage. But, so that your song, born, sweetly, in our ears, and your rich vocal gift, might not be lost with your tongues, each virgin face and human voice remained.
‘“Now Jupiter, intervening, between his brother and grieving sister, divides the turning year, equally. And now the goddess, Persephone, shared divinity of the two kingdoms, spends so many months with her mother, so many months with her husband. The aspect of her face and mind alters in a moment. Now the goddess’s looks are glad that even Dis could see were sad, a moment ago. Just as the sun, hidden, before, by clouds of rain, wins through and leaves the clouds.
Orphic Hymn 17 to Pluton
Pluto, magnanimous, whose realms profound are fix’d beneath the firm and solid ground, In the Tartarian plains remote from fight, and wrapt forever in the depths of night; Terrestrial Jove [Zeus Khthonios], thy sacred ear incline, and, pleas’d, accept thy mystic’s hymn divine. Earth’s keys to thee, illustrious king belong, its secret gates unlocking, deep and strong. ‘Tis thine, abundant annual fruits to bear, for needy mortals are thy constant care. To thee, great king, Avernus is assign’d, the seat of Gods, and basis of mankind. Thy throne is fix’d in Hade’s dismal plains, distant, unknown to rest, where darkness reigns; Where, destitute of breath, pale spectres dwell, in endless, dire, inexorable hell; And in dread Acheron, whose depths obscure, earth’s stable roots eternally secure. O mighty dæmon, whose decision dread, the future fate determines of the dead, With captive Proserpine [Kore], thro’ grassy plains, drawn in a four-yok’d car with loosen’d reins, Rapt o'er the deep, impell’d by love, you flew 'till Eleusina’s city rose to view; There, in a wond'rous cave obscure and deep, the sacred maid secure from search you keep, The cave of Atthis, whose wide gates display an entrance to the kingdoms void of day. Of unapparent works, thou art alone the dispensator, visible and known. O pow'r all-ruling, holy, honor’d light, thee sacred poets and their hymns delight: Propitious to thy mystic’s works incline, rejoicing come, for holy rites are thine.
Orphic Hymn 28 to Pluton
Daughter of Jove [Zeus], almighty and divine, come, blessed queen, and to these rites incline: Only-begotten, Pluto’s [Plouton’s] honor’d wife, O venerable Goddess, source of life: 'Tis thine in earth’s profundities to dwell, fast by the wide and dismal gates of hell: Jove’s [Zeus’] holy offspring, of a beauteous mien, fatal [Praxidike], with lovely locks, infernal queen: Source of the furies [Eumenides], whose blest frame proceeds from Jove’s [Zeus’] ineffable and secret seeds: Mother of Bacchus [Eubouleos], Sonorous, divine, and many-form’d, the parent of the vine: The dancing Hours [Horai] attend thee, essence bright, all-ruling virgin, bearing heav'nly light: Illustrious, horned, of a bounteous mind, alone desir’d by those of mortal kind. O, vernal queen, whom grassy plains delight, sweet to the smell, and pleasing to the sight: Whose holy form in budding fruits we view, Earth’s vig'rous offspring of a various hue: Espous’d in Autumn: life and death alone to wretched mortals from thy power is known: For thine the task according to thy will, life to produce, and all that lives to kill. Hear, blessed Goddess, send a rich increase of various fruits from earth, with lovely Peace; Send Health with gentle hand, and crown my life with blest abundance, free from noisy strife; Last in extreme old age the prey of Death, dismiss we willing to the realms beneath, To thy fair palace, and the blissful plains where happy spirits dwell, and Pluto [Plouton] reigns.

Quote
Of course, she (Rosamund Oliver) knew her power: indeed, he (St John Rivers) did not, because he could not, conceal it from her. In spite of his Christian stoicism, when she went up and addresses him, and smiled gaily, encouragingly, even fondly in his face, his hand would tremble and his eye burn. He seemed to say, with his sad and resolute look, if he did not say it with his lips, 'I love you, and I know you prefer me. It is not despair of success that keeps me dumb. If I offered my heart, I believe you would accept it. But that heart is already laid on a sacred altar: the fire is arranged round it. It will soon be no more than a sacrifice consumed.' (...) Besides, he could not bond all that he had in his nature -- the rover, the aspirant, the poet, the priest -- in the limits of a single passion.
Brontë, Charlotte. Jane Eyre. Penguin Random House, 2006. (p. 424)
So, I really love the complexity of St John’s character and his and Rosamund’s relationship (before we get to the, eh, less pleasant part of his/their storyline).

Moonlight & Ivory returns to Dade City
Tumblr media
Like many wonderful events, the pandemic paused a lovely annual concert for a while, but Heritage Arts Center Association is announcing its long-awaited return! “Moonlight and Ivory” has provided the community with an opportunity to gather and share in the exceptional talents of their friends and neighbors for the past 24 years!   Once again musicians and artists from Dade City, Zephyrhills, Wesley Chapel and beyond are busy preparing for the shows to be held on November 5 at the Dade City Woman’s Club, 37922 Palm Avenue, Dade City. Moonlight and Ivory was held for many years in February, but the group felt the fall might be a better time of year.  The variety of music is always impressive and includes vocal and instrumental renditions of show tunes, classics, contemporary, jazz, bluegrass, sacred and original pieces by adult performers of all ages. Many of the performers are or have been professional and some are up and coming, but all are accomplished musicians.   Part of the event is a wonderful art show with contributions by local artists in a wide variety of media, organized by a past art scholarship winner Jayde Archebold.   Both shows are made complete by delectable gourmet refreshments and desserts served at intermission.  As a result of the community support of this event, Heritage Arts Center Association is able to offer TWO annual $1,000 awards to Pasco residents who are graduating high school seniors: the “Pasco Heritage Scholarship” for performing arts, and the Nereim Fine Arts Award in the visual arts. Moonlight & Ivory returns to Dade City Nov. 5 for two Shows Fantastic refreshments are served to guests of both shows. Image courtesy of Heritage Arts Center Association. Again, this year there will be two opportunities to share in this fantastic event. The matinee will begin at 2:00 pm with the art show following. Doors for the evening performance will open at 7:00 pm for the art exhibition with the musical concert beginning at 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be served at both shows during intermission. The cost is $25.00 for the evening show and $15.00 for the matinee.   Originally conceived as a one-time fundraising effort to purchase a grand piano for the community's use, this concert has become a much-anticipated annual community event. Heritage Arts now owns a beautiful 6’1” Yamaha Conservatory grand that has served for these concerts, piano recitals, and the “Spotlight on Talent” performing arts competition for young people. As always, proceeds from this year’s concert will go to support the arts in this area as well as the scholarships. Tickets are now available for both concerts and may be purchased at the Dade City Chamber of Commerce, the Prelude Academy music studio, from a HACA Board member or online at heritagearts.org. The contact person for the event is Charlotte Lewis at 352-424-4298.
Trước hết hãy cùng tìm hiểu sơ qua về “Harmonic Ratio Series of the SQUARE”.
Chúng ta lấy mức tăng trưởng (I): $10814/144=74.7
Chúng ta lấy mức tăng trưởng (II): $61072/144=424
Lấy mức (II)/(I): 424/74.7=5.67, rất gần với tỷ lệ mở rộng “Harmonic Ratio Series of the SQUARE”.

How would the quivers be affected if the Duggar women (Anna and Kendra included) waited the same amount of time as JinJer to get pregnant or the Bates women (Whitney included) didn’t get pregnant until ChErin did?
What If:  Every Couple Took As Long As JinJer or ChErin To Get Pregnant w/ Baby #1
What a great ask, Anon!  To answer it, I’ll assume—
Duggars reveal Pregnancy #1 on Day 424 of marriage, like JinJer did.
Bateses reveal Pregnancy #1 on Day 446 of marriage, like ChErin did.
Child #1′s DOB is the (adjusted) reveal date, plus—
If Already Born:  # Days from Actual Reveal to Birth
If InUtero:  # Days from Actual Reveal to ~Due Date
Subsequent (already–born) children’s spacing doesn’t change—but due to Child #1′s adjusted DOB, their DOB does.
Each couple’s typical pace is determined by averaging their Firstborn’s adjusted spacing, and their existing other children’s real spacing.
Duggar Females (by Blood) are fertile to Age 43.24.
Bates Females (by Blood) are fertile to Age 45.27.
All In–Laws are fertile to Age 40.00.
Tumblr media
Analysis and Answer…  After the jump.
TL;DR—Here’s how many fewer children each couple is expected to have, and the new expected total—
Josh + Anna   –1 Child  (10)
Jill + Derick   –2 Children  (9)
Jessa + Ben   –3 Children  (14)
Jinger + Jeremy   No Change  (12)
Joe + Kendra   –6 Children  (12)
Joy + Austin   –5 Children  (12)
Zach + Whitney   –2 Children  (11)
Erin + Chad   No Change  (15)
Alyssa + John   –4 Children  (16)
Tori + Bobby   –5 Children  (13)
The Duggars
Using the above rules, here’s the ‘new’ DOB for each existing GrandDuggar—
Mackynzie Renée   May 21, 2010
Michael James   January 26, 2012
Marcus Anthony   January 13, 2014
Meredith Grace   February 26, 2016
Israel David   April 4, 2016
Spurgeon Elliot   July 15, 2016
Henry Wilberforce   October 17, 2017
Mason Garrett   April 25, 2018
Samuel Scott   July 7, 2018
Gideon Martyn   January 17, 2019
Note that Mere’s real–life order is #5, Israel’s is #4, Samuel’s is #8, and Mason’s is #9.  Also, note that Samuel and Gideon wouldn’t be born yet!
How does this affect each couple?  Let’s take a look…
Josh + Anna
IRL, Mackynzie Renée arrived 377 Days after Turd + Anna tied the knot.  Under this Ask’s rule, that spacing jumped to 602 Days.  Doing the math, the Duggar–Kellers’ new, typical pace is 1 Child Every 700 Days—i.e., +45 Days (6.9%) vs. their real–life, 655–Day pace.  As a result, they’re expected to have 10 Children, rather than eleven.
Tumblr media
Jill + Derick
The Dillards had been married 282 Days on Israel’s David’s real DOB.  If they’d announced the pregnancy on Day 424 instead, Izzy would’ve arrived 653 Days into their marriage.  As such, the Dillards’ typical child spacing would jump 182 Days (33%), from 557 Days to 739 Days.  Adding 93 Days due to Jill’s latest C–Section, the Predictor thinks they’ll have 1 Child Every 832 Days, and predicts a quiver of 9 Children, rather than eleven.
Tumblr media
Jessa + Ben
Spurgeon Elliot showed up 1 Year, 4 Days (369 Days) into Jessa + Ben’s marital bliss.  Under this Ask’s rules, that spacing would increase to 622 Days, and the Seewald’s typical pace would be 1 Child Every 541 Days.  At that pace, Baby #3 wouldn’t be late, and the Seewalds would be expected to have a total of 14 Children, instead of seventeen.
Tumblr media
Jinger + Jeremy
Predictions won’t change at all, since we used their 424–Day announcement to shift everyone else’s data.  They’re expected to have 12 Children.
Tumblr media
Joe + Kendra
Duggar–Caldwell #1 is still in–utero, but is due to arrive 282 Days into Joseph + Kendra’s marriage.  If they didn’t reveal this pregnancy until Day 424, their first child would be due on Day 605 instead.  At a pace of 1 Child Every 605 Days, JoKen would be expected to have 12 Children, rather than eighteen.
Tumblr media
Joy + Austin
Finally, IRL, Gideon Martyn arrived a record–setting 273 Days into the Forsyths sacred union.  Now, let’s say that they didn’t even announce Pregnancy 1 until Day 424, and Gideon didn’t arrived until Day 601.  Adding a 93–Day C–Section  ‘penalty,’ the Forsyths’ pace would be 1 Child Every 694 Days, resulting in an expected quiver of 12 Children, rather than seventeen.

Duggars, Overall
Based on real data, Josh, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joe, and Joy are expected to have 86 Children, collectively.  Had every couple waited exactly as long as JinJer did to reveal Pregnancy 1, the Wedding to Child 1 delays, and consequent increase in each couples typical spacing, would reduce that expected, collective total by ~20%—from 86 Children, to 69 Children.
On to the Bateses!
The Bateses
Using the above rules (each couple announces Pregnancy 1 after 446 Days, à la Cherin, etc.), here’s the adjuted DOB for each existing GrandBates—
Carson Stephen   May 14, 2015
Bradley Gilvin   October 23, 2015
Allie Jane   January 4, 2016
Brooklyn Elise   August 6, 2016
Kaci Lynn   June 14, 2017
Lexi Mae   October 21, 2017
Everly Hope   March 28, 2018
Zoey Joy   December 21, 2018
Note the real–life order is (1) Bradley, (2) Allie, (3) Carson, (4) Kaci, (5) Brooklyn, (6) Lexi, (7) Zoey, (8) Everly.  Only Lexi kept her spot in the adjusted DOB order!  Also, Zoey wouldn’t be born (and probably wouldn’t even be announced) yet.
Let’s see how this shift affects the current, or soon–to–be, Second–Generation Bates parents, starting with…
Zach + Whitney
In reality, the Bates–Perkinses announced Pregnancy 1 just 87 Days after their wedding.  If they’d delayed that particular reveal to Day 446, Bradley would’ve been born on Day 678.  As a result, Zach + Whit’s average spacing would jump to 1 Child Every 639 Days, and they’d be expected to have 11 Children—two less than the thirteen they’re expected to have IRL.
Tumblr media
Erin + Chad
Predictions won’t change at all, since we used their 446–Day announcement to shift everyone else’s data.   They’re still expected to have 15 Children.
Tumblr media
Alyssa + John
IRL, Alyssa + John’s Pregnancy 1 announcement occurred 178 Days after they tied the knot.  If they didn’t announced until Day 446, Allie would’ve arrived on Day 590, rather than Day 322.  This would increase their typical spacing ~20%, to 1 Child Every 557 Days.  According, they’d be expected to have to a quiver of 16 Children, rather than twenty.
Tumblr media
Tori + Bobby
Finally, Tori + Bobby revealed Pregnancy 1 just 145 Days after tying the knot.  If Smith #1 arrives on Tori’s estimated due date (November 1, 2018), the Smiths’ll be married and childless for only 320 Days.  Now, let’s assume the didn’t reveal a pregnancy until 446 Days after marrying.  Smith #1′s DOB would shift to ~621 Days into their marriage, which means, at least until Smith #2 arrive, it’s ‘typical’ for them to have 1 Child Every 621 Days.  At that rate, Tori + Bobby’s expected quiver size would fall from eighteen to 13 Children.
Tumblr media
Bateses, Overall
Using real data, it’s predicted that Zach, Erin, Alyssa, and Tori would collectively contribute 66 GrandBates to their family’s Third–Generation.  Had Zach, Alyssa, and Tori taken as long as Erin to have Baby #1, however, their approximate total contribution would only be 55 Children.  Than’s 11 Children (or 17%) less!
Really interesting ask, Anon!  I know it has been sitting in my Ask Box for quite awhile, so thanks for your patience!

Today’s Cards of The Day is a pick-a-pile reading with a channeled song. Take a moment to clear your mind, and see which pile you are drawn to. The cards are from Sacred Power Reading Cards by Anna Stark, The Soul Reflection’s Divine Numbers by Nadine Swiger, and The Souk Reflection’s Twin Flame Messenger 3 by Nadine Swiger. Please take what resonates and leave what does not. Use your intuition as to how the cards relate to your situation. . 313 - Stay optimistic during the upcoming changes by keeping your focus on the big picture. Don’t lose sight! I’m hearing The Who song “ Season’s change and so do I… I’m on to better things” like a tree that looses it’s leaves, it’s the shedding of the old so new can grow. These upcoming changes will bring better days ahead, but you must keep optimistic. There is still so much greater things that are ahead for you if you push past the things that can hold you back. . 424 - With love & courage comes communication. Look at all those butterflies, floating and fluttering. I’m hearing they are Butterfly Kisses, which are about change and letting go. Someone is trying to release fear and those feeling of being unworthy. They are gaining the courage to come forward. Like a butterfly transforms from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly with wings, so can love transform and take flight. I’m hearing the Roy Orbison song “Rainbow Love” and the lines “I found what I've been dreaming of when I found my rainbow love” . 555 - Transformation as memories are rising from the ashes! Memories burn hot within the soul. They fill the heart with a burning passion. These memories have triggered a transformation. 5 is about change (you have 3 times the change)! 555 can be a sign to expect the unexpected. (That also came up in reading 2 days ago). Something you think is dead will soon be rising from the ashes! Watch for the love of the past to return. Passions still run deep! It's like the Unexpected Song "I have never felt like this. For once I'm lost for words..." (Song by Sarah Brightman). For some, I was also hearing “Hot Blooded” by Foreigner (as to how someone’s passion and lust is, when they think of you!). https://www.instagram.com/p/CTo1IYuLqyr/?utm_medium=tumblr
