queenstown hillside motel.
I've been putting off making a "community" lot for years, but I've finally done it! I was inspired by awesims' motel in pounawea to try building a motel for my sims in queenstown; "community" is in quotation marks because it's actually technically a residential lot purely so that it works with nraas' traveler when it comes to staying in it. you can change this if you wish, this is just what worked for me.
the motel is furnished with a lobby area, small public dining space, a little spa (including a day spa rabbit hole rug) and a laundromat, and one motel room has been decorated. the rest are hidden with markers.
hope you like it!
§38,038 furnished, §3,292 unfurnished
1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (in motel unit)
40 x 25 lot size
custom content included with package file
built in queenstown
download・cc list
choose either the sims3pack or the package version, but please make sure you download the library file regardless of which you choose to avoid having any issues with this not showing up in your game. the file marked [LIBRARY] goes in your library folder, and if downloading via package, the file marked [MODS] goes in your mods folder.

Was rereading the Aemond x reader x osferth tag and came across this:
When still single and drunk off her ass, reader bought a huge one, a 40 cm length and 10 cm girth with thick ridges; that had been a blackout purchase which she forgot about until the package was delivered. The thing has never been used; reader and Osferth love pulling Aemond’s leg, telling him that reader has used it on Osferth (”No one can fit it” “No, not with that attitude!”).
May we please have a whole oneshot talking about this? Cause this would be something I would do and it’s hilarious
Sorry for the long wait!!! I'm not sure I have hit the mark perfectly with this one, the muse didn't want to unstruck themselves from this particular idea!
Warnings: mention of dildo usage, a small reference to reader's abusive ex, kissing, suggestive situations.
Not really NSFW but def 18+ please!
You're sorting out the toys. You've already put the nastier stuff away, under lock and key, away from Aemond's eye, now you are sorting the rest of the stuff you and Osferth have managed to collect through the years; today is a day as good as any to throw out the toys that are too old to be used, so you decided to sit on the bedroom floor and start.
You are not listening to your surroundings, too intent in finishing the task ahead to notice Aemond's light steps coming behind you.
"Are you keeping that?" He asks, his soft voice makes you jump in surprise.
'That' is the 40 cm long and 10 cm girth dildo, with thick ridges you bought and never used.
You were drunk when you bought it, not too long after your abusive ex was out of the picture and you were still trying to sort your out your life; you didn't even remember the purchase and was surprised when the delivery man came knocking a couple of days after: that was the day you had a truly hearty laughter after years of pain.
"Why wouldn't I?" You ask, knowing full well where this conversation is heading. "Because you don't use it and Osferth does neither." "Again? That's slander, pretty boy!" "What's going on?"
Osferth's head pops from the door; you two don't even need to talk, not when you know he's seen the huge dildo.
"Aemond is slandering you." You smirk. "Is that so?" "He is saying I have never fucked you using this bad boy here." You say, grabbing the toy. "I've never seen you two use it!"
Osferth enters the room and hugs Aemond from behind.
"It was before you, my sweet prince." "Is that so?"
Aemond's legendary eyebrow arch makes an appearance.
"Why aren't you anymore? Hmm?"
Osferth nuzzles Aemond long neck to hide his smile.
"It had been a feat, sweetling." You say. "For how long you didn't walk straight Osferth?"
Osferth's head sits on Aemond's shoulder now.
"Almost two weeks. I truly felt it, it was great!" "If it was that great, why didn't you use it ever again? Hmm?"
Now it's Aemond's turn to nuzzle Osferth's neck and leave small kisses on the delicate skin.
"I had to drive him to work, he couldn't ride his bike, and preparing him took a very long time. It was hard work to make sure I didn't harm him, pretty boy." You say. "I still think you two are pulling my leg."
Aemond's voice is huskier, now that Osferth's hands is traveling from his chest to his lower tummy.
"You're offending me, Aemond." He says. "I demand compensation."
Aemond turns in Osferth's embrace and grabs his hips, forcing him to plaster himself against his body.
"I can give you all the compensation you need, beloved. Take your clothes off."
You see Osferth visibly swallow and his cheeks turn a dark shade of pink.
"Are you joining us?" Aemond asks you, barely turning his head. "Nope." You answer, spreading your legs. "Let me enjoy the view."

Kia Ora!
May I ask something for letterkenny where the reader routinely bakes for the produce stand( staples like bread, cookies etc) but then branches out into cakes and shit that they get Wayne, Darryl, Dans and Katy's opinion of their work? Wayne wants to pay you but honestly cooking/baking for others is your love language?
AHHHH I LOVE THIS SO SO SO MUCH because I totally would be this person in the LK universe!!! I freaking love baking and did I mention I LOVE this idea??? xD anyway thanks so much for lending me your creativity with this request, can't wait to see what you think of my creation below :) <3 I combined this ask with the other ask about being a friend of Katy’s and being a baker so don’t worry, I saw that request too!! No one falls through the cracks on this account, I see y’all and all your messages I promise😎 even if it takes me awhile to get everything done lol
This'll be another implied Wayne x reader story, but again, it can be read either romantically or platonically!
Bringing Home the Bakin'
Fluff
lil bit of Wayne x gn!reader
Warnings: none
There was nothing better than hearing the sound of your oven ding with the promise of yummy baked goods. You pulled out a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies, the delectable smell filling your kitchen. You turned around, putting the raw dough of your very popular bread in the perfectly warmed up kitchen appliance. You were anxious to get this round of baking done as soon as possible because you needed to drop it all off at Katy and Wayne’s produce stand before it got too late in the morning. You and Katy had been friends for a long time, and in turn, her friends became your friends, and soon enough you were officially adopted into the Hicks’ group. You had always been an avid baker, too, which certainly didn’t hurt when it came time to making friends. You loved to bake things for people as it was your love language—food easily brings people together and full bellies equal full hearts. You never, in a million years, thought that people would love your products so much that they would line up so early in the morning, eager to get their hands on whatever you were selling that day. You couldn’t lie, you were proud of making a name for yourself like that, especially in Letterkenny where bad gas travels fast and good gas travels… well, probably just as fast, but nonetheless, you were happy. As your bread baked, you decided now would be the perfect time to go get ready so you’d be on time leaving later.
40 minutes bake time and 20 minutes cool down time later, everything was sliced, packaged, and ready to sell. You loaded up your car and drove over to the produce stand, excited to see your friends. As you pulled into the dirt driveway, you saw car after car waiting for you to arrive with your baked goods. Wayne saw you arrive and came over to help you carry everything to the stand.
“One of these days you ought to park your car and sell right from the trunk,” he commented, his arms filled with cookie containers.
“Then I wouldn’t be able to see your big muscles at work, moving my stuff,” you teased. Wayne scoffed quietly, but you knew he was flattered.
“Y/n! Glad to see you so chipper this morning,” Katy greeted, taking the bread from your grasp and setting it on the second stand they made specifically for your treats.
“Any morning I see my best friend is a morning worth looking forward to,” you said, a big smile on your face.
“Don’t go soft on me now,” she replied, smiling back at you.
“Our favorites baker’s heres,” said Squirrely Dan, clapping you on the shoulder.
“Sure is,” Daryl piped in before leaning in close to you. “Did you save us anything?”
“Hmm. Maybe,” you said with a sly grin. Daryl tried to contain his excitement but failed, letting out little giggles.
All of your baked goods were displayed neatly in no time with everyone’s help. Pies were placed all over pretty patterned plates, tarts were looking totally tantalizing, and the cookies couldn’t look any cuter in their containers.
“Pitter patter?” you asked, eyebrows raised.
“Let’s get at ‘er,” Katy responded, nodding at you before addressing the crowd. “Y/n’s Bakestand is now open! Line up nicely or we’ll lay you out.”
Crowds of people started swarming in as they all tried to buy something before it was sold out. You did your best to bake lots of extras this morning, but it didn’t look like it mattered. The stand was emptied in a half hour after what seemed like the entirety of Letterkenny’s residents came by. When the rush was finished, leaving you and the Hicks standing by yourselves, you clapped your hands.
“Now that that’s over with, you guys wanna taste one of my newest creations?” you asked, a sly grin taking over your lips.
“I like the sound of that,” said Daryl, unable to stifle more happy giggles.
“I’d taste anythings of yours that you’d so kindlys puts in my hands, y/n,” replied Dan.
“Why don’t you take about 50 to 60 percent off there, Squirrely Dan,” reprimanded Wayne, making you chuckle. You retrieved a cooler from your car that held something you’d finally tried after thinking it over for a while. You were confident in your baking abilities, but this time, you really wanted your friends’ opinions on your work. You opened the cooler and took out the large container, your nerves creeping up on you a little bit. Wayne eyed you curiously, wondering what delicious item you brought this time. When you finally took the lid off the container, you held your breath, waiting for each person’s reactions.
“It’s so pretty!”
“Too pretty to eat!”
“I disagrees with thats, Katy, but to each their owns.”
Wayne didn’t say anything, but he nodded his head in the slightest manner—that was a great sign. You had baked a carrot cake and covered it with cream cheese frosting; not only did you frost it, though, but you created art with it. You had decorated the border on the bottom and top with an intricate piping design, the swirls looking like they were dancing on the cake. In the middle was a perfect illustration of a carrot, the coloring vibrant and detailing neat. As you sliced it and doled out the pieces, you could see the nuts inside were evenly distributed and the cake was pleasantly spongy. Not a single element was out of place and you smiled to yourself, awaiting the consensus of flavor.
“You outdid yourself again,” commented Katy, taking another big bite.
“It’s so good I could cry,” an almost tearful Daryl replied.
“Delicious as always, y/ns,” Dan complimented.
“This tastes as good as puppy breath smells,” said Wayne, and you let out a relieved sigh.
“You guys don’t know how happy that makes me! I was nervous since I usually never bake cakes,” you confessed.
“You truly have a talent and I’m so glad we’re able to showcase that to Letterkenny,” Katy told you, gently nudging your shoulder with her own. There were still morning chores to get done so after everyone finished their treat, you and Wayne were left to watch over the produce stand for the time being. You busied yourself with the till, counting out how much money you made—you split your earnings with the siblings since you used their stand but you still came away with more than enough to cover some of your everyday expenses.
“You know, I wish you’d let me pay you more,” Wayne said, looking at you intently, “especially when you bring over those other treats just for us. You’re a hard worker, I want to make sure you’re paid fair and square.”
“This is a hobby-turned-side job for me, I promise I’m making enough,” you consoled. “And I enjoy making things for you guys. That’s just me sharing my love for you in the form of baked goods. No money needed there.”
Wayne wasn’t fully convinced until he saw just how brightly your eyes shone when you spoke about baking. He could tell that you honestly did it because you liked it, not because you were looking to make a profit. He felt his heart swell at the thought of you in the kitchen, apron on and humming to yourself as you worked on some more recipes to please him and the others.
“Okay,” he conceded, his steely gaze concentrated on your carefree one, “but if we have to build a second stand for you, you’re getting a bigger share of the profit. No ifs, ands, or buts.”
“You drive a hard bargain, Wayne, but I’m inclined to agree,” you said, stretching your hand out for a handshake, “only if you promise to keep being my most prized taste tester.”
“Fine by me,” he said, grasping your hand in his own and shaking it. However, he held onto your hand for a little longer than necessary, his lips curved into the tiniest smile.
He could never say no to you.

Heartless - a criminal minds episode\\part 3
part 1, part 2, materlist
- english is not my first language please exuse any spelling or grammer mistakes.
- this case is made up
- it happens around the.. 6th season, i think? so the team is Hotch, dave, Morgan, Prentiss, JJ and reid
- it will end up being Reidxreader kinda, tho my main focous is to create a plot line for an episode with a (y\n) charecter.
- lmk what you think - i try to make the charectes as in charecter i can :)
"it's a female, around the age of 24. she has an engagment ring on, and her heart missing, so we belive this is the same offender as the earlier crimes" the forensic team leader said, "she was strangled, real bad, i mean, she was dead for half the time she was strangled". Reid looked at Dave, they were both thinking the same thing. "that's the same overkill we saw on the other female victim" Dave finally said. "the dump site is different" (y\n) says. "yeah, so far it was allys, but this is a more public space - there is an ally about half a mile from here, but instead he chose to leave the body in the middle of the street" Reid says. (y\n) can't help but smile at the fact Reid agreed with them.
"he's getting bolder, or he could be trying to make a statment" Prentiss says. "won't he pose the body a certin way if he's making a statment?" officer Williams chimed in. "well, yes and no. putting the body out in the open could be a warning for cheaters. I mean, we relesed the profile, people know why he is targeting these specific victims" Derek says, looking around in hopes to notice a detail they missed. "once we have an identification on this vistim, we should have Garcia check if she was cheating" Prentiss says. "and monitor the fiances house for any packages" JJ adds.
"he did pose the body a certin way" (y\n) says. "huh?" JJ wonders, and her eyes follow the direction (y\n)s were set on, right across from the body. "the bakery across the street?" JJ said, "why would that be-" she wondered, but than she noticed the name on the bright pink sign. "rose's goods" JJ said. "that's one of the bakeries the wedding venues work with" Reid reminded everyone, tho you didn't need an eidetic memory to remember that."well, now we know for sure the unsub must be connected to the venues, but how?" Dave asked, putting everyones thoughts to words.
…
"okay, guys, our latest victim, Maya, was not cheating. i can not find anything remotly suspitius. the only man she was sending heart emojies to other than Roy, Her fiance, is her best friend David who is most definatly a friend of dorothys" Garcia says. "that's how gay men identified eachother in the 40, it is based on the charecter of Dorothy fro-" Reid starts one of his infamous info dumps, but Hotch cuts him off with a simple "yes Reid, we are aware of that". "okay" Reid mumbles, slightly disappointed he didn't get to finish, his eyes travel to the floor.
"well, if the unsub was'nt aware of the fact David is gay, he could have misinterpret their texts as flirting" Prentiss says. "it was pretty easy to see, i mean, he has photos of him and his boyfriend on social media" Garcia sighs. "that could mean he's devolving, the texts were enough to prove his.. delusion, he didn't care enough to dig deep like he did with the earlier victims" JJ says.
"guys, i just had a thought" (y\n) says, "i know we profiled a psycopath, and i am not saying we were wrong - but what if sending the hearts to the fiance is not meant to hurt them? what if in his delusion, he is giving the fiance what they deserved - the heart of their deceased partner?".
"that would make perfact sense - i mean, he took the term hertless as literal as it gets" Reid agrees with (y\n) once again and they couldn't be more proud. "if that's the case, he could be having a phsycotic break of some sort" JJ suggest. "and he is most definatly losing his grip on reality. we need to find him, and we need to do it soon" Hotch says.
…
"well, there are 26 males who got left by their cheating fiances, 3 of those were engaged to a man and 3 were over 30, so that leaves us with 20 potentional unsubs" Garcia says over the phone. "told you" Reid mumbles in his know-it-all tone, but no one takes it to heart. "does any of them have a connection to the wedding venue company?" Prentiss asks. "well, give me a minute… uhg… yes! Ron Sawyer works for a bakery connected to the venues, Eren Nicolas works for a security company that was hired by them a few times and Zayn Thompson is a florist who…" Garcia starts, and JJ finishes for her. "works at a flower shop that's connected to the venues" she says. "yeah" Garcia says, sighing. "were any of them at the venues at the days that the four victims visited there? i mean, we only lookes at the venues employees on our initial search" JJ sugests. "i'll get back to you on that in a few moments babes" Garcia smiles through the phone.
…
"the garden of eden venue… we still need to check. all venues had a breaching point, what if they also had a weak spot? our unsub may not be connected to the venues but sneak up there somehow, or get in through a false identety…" Prentiss says. "well, they refused to talk to us, they won't cocperate…" Derek sighs. "what if they didn't know they were talking to agents?" JJ sugestes, "i can go in with Reid, pretend we are a couple looking at venues". "if they saw us delivering the profile, they would know you are an agent…" Dave dismisses her idea, "we can't risk that, they could make a fuss". silence falls in the room until Hotch breaks it: "they never saw (y\n)".
all of the eyes in the room turn to (y\n). "no, no, i can't possibly do this, i- i am not quelified for this at all, and yeah, i took theater in high school, but i only played a small part-" they start to rumble, but dave laughs. "well, you know what they say, there are'nt any small parts, just small actors".
…
"i cannot belive that i am doing this" (y\n) sighs. "well, we will get through this. together" Reid smiles at them, offering them his hand. "fine" they sigh once again and take it. His skin is softer than they expected, not that they ever wonderd how his skin feels, because that is just weird, and holding his hand was… nice, really nice. more than they thought it would be. not that they thought about how that would be, you know, they only thought about it now, because of the assigment and not because they had a crush on the pretty wonder boy. no. most definetly no.
"are you okay?" Reid asks, stopping at the entrence. "yeah, i'm good, just, uh, nervous" (y\n) admits, not disclosing the reason they are nervous. it may have been a small part, but they nailed it. pretending to be Spencers fiance could be the straw that breaks the camels back, forcing them to admit to themselves what they've been ignoring ever since they joined the BAU. "well, you have nothing to be nervous about, i am sure you will love it here" An obnoxious voice the agents assumes belongs to the infamous DIane says. today she is wearing a bright green suit, her head up in a pony-tail so tight even Jojo Siwa would'nt wear it.
the three go in, and walk around. "this is the main entrence…" Diane starts, and she continues to talk but Reid and (y\n) are both not focosing on what she is saying. they look around, trying to look for an easy breach. they look at the people around, trying to see if theres anyone walking alone, looking at the venue. "-and now, would you like to see the yard? you got here just in time, we are holding a tasting in just a few minitues" Diane says.
"oh, my love, that sounds great" Spencer smiles, his hand leaving (y\n)s to place it on their waist. "it does" they smile back, resting their hand on his shoulder - he is much taller than them - to pull themselves up, and now that they have easy access they place a kiss on his left cheek, making the both of them blush. "oh, you two are just too cute" Diane smiles, but her eyes meet those of the man waving at her from behind the 'couple'. "excsue me" she smiles at them, "uh, Zayn!" she says, grabbing the forearm of an employee, "get them a glass of wine, won't you?". "yes maam" Zayn says, and dissaperas to get it, going in the opposit direction she is.
"i am sorry if i crossed the line by kissing you, i felt we need to sell it a bit more so she won't get suspicious" (y\n) says awkwardly. "oh, no, it was fine, even nice. a nice touch, i mean" Spencer says, almost letting the way he words the sentence reveal his true feeling about that small, innocent kiss.
…
"hey there choclate thounder" Garcia's voice sounds from the other side of the line. "hey there baby girl, got any updates for me?" Derek says. "you already know i do" Garcia's usual snark laced in her voice, "so, none of them were in the venues at all 4 days, but two of them were working on two of the days, they could have used their easy access to the premiss for the other two couples" Garcia says. "what are the venues they were at?" JJ asks. "well, Ron Sawyer was at the Crystall ballroom and the Garden of eden" Garcia says. "okay, and the other one?" Prentiss asks. "Zayn thompson, he was also at the crystal ballroom and at the whispearing willow" Garcia says.
"well, JJ and i checked The enchanted Castle venue, with the broken fence. if he was working for them he could have known that, he could have snuck in there and if he was caught just say he's there for work" Dace says. "when i talked with the whispearing willow after the last murder, they said their security is tight, that's impossible to get inside unless you are supposed to be there" Derek says. "well, that would make Zayn our more likely unsub, Garcia, what more do you have on him?" Hotch asks, and when Garcia come through with answears he sounds like the perfect fit.
"well, his parents got a divorce when he was 15, his dad cheated on his mom with the woman from next door who was also married at the time. he got suspended from school 4 tomes, all of those because of fist fights and other violent behavior. he's been a florist for about six months, but he is very, very good at his job, quick learner. before that he worked at cyber security, but he started performing horrible 8 months ago and got fired a month after. it appears that he was engaged to a Viola Gardner, but there aren't any photos of them together from later than… 8 months ago. their wedding was meant to take place at the Garden Of Eden venue and it did, i found photoes from the event on his friends socials… oh god" Garcia stops her word flow. "what is it?" Hotch asks. "Viola got engaged three weeks ago, to a Henry Lewis" Garcia says in shock.
"that must have been the trigger" JJ says. "and his Father chating with a married woman, sounds like a stressor to me" Derek says. "Garcia, where is he now?" Prentiss asks. "well, he is…" Garcia says, and the sound of her keyboard clicks is heard through the phone, "… at the Garden of eden venue, that's where.. that's where Spence and (y\n) are, right?".
"Prentiss, let them know the suspect is with them, they should locate him, tell them we are on our way" Hotch orders, and the team leaves the office.

59. “You heard the lady! Let’s move!”
60. “He took his suitcase? Honey, I don’t think he’s coming back.”
61. “Seven hours ago we started this expedition with two hundred of the finest men and women I’ve ever known. We’re all that’s left.”
62. “I won’t sugar-coat it, gentlemen. We have a crisis on our hands.”
63. “We’ve been up this particular creek before and we’ve always come through, paddle or no paddle. I see no reason to change that policy now.”
64. “Looks like all our chances for survival rest with you. You and that little book.”
65. “Will you look at the size of this? It’s gotta be half a mile high, at least. It must have taken hundred, no, thousands of years to carve this thing.”
66. “Two for flinching.”
67. “That thing is going to keep me up all night. I know it.”
68. “There you go. Put some meat on them bones.”
69. “You’re so skinny if you turned sideways and stuck out your tongue, you’d look like a zipper.”
70. “You know, we’ve been pretty tough on the kid. What do you say we cut him some slack?”
71. “Don’t you ever close that book?”
72. “In this passage here, the shepherd seems to be leading up to something. He calls it the Heart of Atlantis. It could be the power source legends refer to.”
73. “Sometimes I get a little carried away, but hey you know, that’s what this is all about. I mean, discovery, teamwork, adventure. Unless, maybe you’re just in it for the money.”
74. “I guess I’m still a little rusty at this. I haven’t gone camping since…well…the last time my grandpa took me.”
75. “I never got to meet your grandfather. What was he like?”
76. “No offense, but how does a teenager become the chief mechanic of a multi-million dollar expedition?”
77. “I took this job when my dad retired, but the funny thing was he always wanted sons, right? One to run his machine shop and the other to be middleweight boxing champion. He got my sister and me instead.”
78. “It was like a sign from God. I found myself in that boom.”
79. “Trust me on this, you don’t wanna know. Don’t tell him. You shouldn’t have told me, but you did, and now I’m telling you, you don’t wanna know.”
80. “All right, who’s not dead? Sound off.”
81. “Who are you strangers and where did you come from?”
82. “Your manner of speech is strange to me.”
83. “Bout time someone hit him. I’m just sorry it wasn’t me.”
84. “How do they know all these languages?”
85. “Maybe English is in there somewhere.”
86. “We are explorers from the surface world. We come in peace.”
87. “Welcome to the city of Atlantis.”
88. “There were not supposed to be people down here. This changes everything.”
89. “You know the law. No outsiders may see the city and live.”
90. “Your majesty? On behalf of my crew, may I say it is an honor to be welcomed to your city.”
91. “You presume much to think you are welcome here.”
92. “I know what you seek and you will not find it here. Your journey has been in vain.”
93. “Some obstacles cannot be removed with a mere show of force.”
94. “Return to your people. You must leave Atlantis at once.”
95. “May I respectfully request that we stay one night, sir? That would give us time to rest, resupply, and be ready to travel by morning.”
96. “Your heart has softened. 1,000 years ago you would have slain them on sight.”
97. “1,000 years ago the streets were lit and our people did not have to scavenge for food at the edge of a crumbling city!”
98. “We were once a great people. Now we live in ruins. The kings of our past would week if they could see how far we have fallen.”
99. “If these outsiders can unlock the secrets of our past, perhaps we can save our future.”
100. “What they have to teach us we have already learned.”
101. “Our way of life is dying.”
102. “Our way of life is preserved. When you take the throne, you will understand.”
103. “The king and his daughter don’t exactly see eye to eye. She seems to like us okay, but the king…I don’t know. I think he’s hiding something.”
104. “If he’s hiding something, I want to know what it is.”
105. “Someone needs to talk to that girl.”
106. “I have some questions for you and I’m not leaving this city until they’re answered.”
107. “I have some questions for you and you are not leaving this city until they are answered.”
108. “There is so much to ask about your world.”
109. “You are a scholar, are you not? Judging from your diminished physique and large forehead, you are clearly suited for nothing else.”
110. “How did you get here? Well, I mean, not you personally but your culture. How did all of this end up down here?”
111. “It is said that the gods became jealous of Atlantis. They sent a great cataclysm and banished up here.”
112. “All I can remember is the sky going dark and people shouting and running. Then a bright light, like a star, floating about the city. My father said it called my mother to it.”
113. “Are you telling me that you remember because you were there. No that’s…that’s impossible.”
114. “How is it you found your way to this place?”
115. “If it weren’t for this book, we never would have made it.”
116. “Legend has it that your people possessed a power source of some kind that enable them.”
117. “You mean you can understand this? This right here, you can read this?”
118. “Such knowledge has been lost to us since the time of the flood.”
119. “Follow the narrow passage for another league. There you will find the fifth marker.”
120. “It looks like some sort of vehicle, but no matter what I try, it will not respond.”
121. “That’s an easy thing to miss. You know, you deserve credit for even getting this far.”
122. “This is great! With this thing I could see the whole city in no time at all!”
123. “My grandpa used to tell me stories about this place as far back as I can remember. I just wish he could be standing here with me.”
124. “Don’t forget to eat the head. That’s where all the nutrients are.”
125. “The most we ever hoped to find was some crumbling buildings, maybe some broken pottery. Instead we find a living, thriving society.”
126. “We are not thriving. True, our people live, but our culture is dying.”
127. “We are like a stone the ocean beats against. With each passing year, a little more of us is worn away.”
128. “I have brought you to this place to ask you for your help. There is a mural here with writing all around the pictures.”
129. “You do swim, do you not?”
130. “This is amazing! A complete history of Atlantis!”
131. “It’s the heart of Atlantis!”
132. “Don’t you get it? The power source I’ve been looking for, the bright light you remember. They’re the same thing!”
133. “What’s going on? What’s with all the guns?”
134. “I am such an idiot. This is just another treasure hunt for you.”
135. “I would’ve told you sooner, but it was strictly on a need-to-know basis. And, well, now you know.”
136. “I had to be sure you were one of us. Welcome to the club, son.”
137. “I’m no mercenary.”
138. “I prefer the term adventure capitalist.”
139. “You’re the one who got us here. You led us right to the treasure chest.”
140. “What’s to know? It’s big. It’s shiny. It’s going to make us all rich.”
141. “You think it’s some kind of a diamond. I thought it was some kind of battery. But we’re both wrong.”
142. “That crystal is the only thing keeping these people alive. You take that away and they’ll die.”
143. “Academics. You never want to get your hands dirty.”
144. “Think about it. If you gave back every stolen artifact from a museum, you’d be left with an empty building. We’re just providing a necessary service to the archeological community.”
145. “Do yourself a favor. Don’t be like him. For once, do the smart thing.”
146. “You will destroy yourselves.”
147. “I suggest you put a bandage on that bleeding heart of yours. It doesn’t suit a mercenary.”
148. “The heart of Atlantis lies in the eyes of her king.”
149. “You don’t have the slightest idea what this power is capable of.”
150. “I can think of a few countries who’d pay anything to find out.”
151. “All it says here is that the crystal is alive somehow.”
152. “Why don’t you translate and I’ll wave the gun around.”
153. “Hold your horses, lover boy.”
154. “So this is how it ends, huh? Fine. You win. You’re wiping out an entire civilization but, hey, you’ll be rich.”
155. “That’s what it’s all about, right? Money.”
156. “Get off your soapbox. You’ve read Darwin. It’s called natural selection. We’re just helping it along.”
157. “Look at it this way, son. You were the man who discovered Atlantis, and now you’re part of the exhibit.”
158. “Be serious. This is wrong and you know it.”
159. “We’re this close to our biggest payday ever and you pick now of all times to grow a conscience.”
160. “We’ve done a lot of things we’re not proud of. Robbing graves, plundering tombs, double parking. But nobody got hurt. Well, maybe somebody we got hurt, but nobody we knew.”
161. “She has been chosen. Like her mother before her.”
162. “In times of danger the crystal will choose a host. One of royal blood to protect itself and its people. It will accept no other.”
163. “The crystal thrives on the collective emotions of all who came before us. In return, it provides power, longevity, protection.”
164. “In my arrogance I sought to use it as a weapon of war, but it’s power proved too great to control. It overwhelmed us and led to our destruction.”
165. “That’s why you hid it beneath the city, to keep history from repeating itself.”
166. “If she remains bonded to the crystal, she could be lost to it forever.”
167. “The love of my daughter is all I have left.”
168. “My burden would have become hers when the time was right, but now it falls to you.”
169. “Return the crystal. Save Atlantis. Save my daughter.”
170. “I followed you in and I’ll follow you out. It’s your decision.”
171. “I think we’ve seen how effective my decisions have been.”
172. “Let’s recap. I lead a band of plundering vandals to the greatest archeological find in recorded history thus enabling the kidnap and or murder of the royal family, not to mention personally delivering the most powerful force known to man into the hands of a mercenary nutcase who’s probably going to sell it to the Kaiser! Have I left anything out?”
173. “It’s been my experience when you hit bottom, the only place left to go is up.”
174. “I didn’t say it was the smart thing, but it is the right thing.”
175. “We better make sure he doesn’t hurt himself.”
176. “This is it! We’re going to rescue the princess! We’re going to save Atlantis! Or we’re going to die trying!”
177. “I love it when I win.”
178. “We were in this together! You promised me a percentage!”
179. “I have to hand it to you. You’re a bigger pain in the neck than I would have ever thought possible.”
180. “I consider myself an even-tempered man. It takes a lot to get under my skin, but congratulations! You just won the solid-gold kewpie doll!”
181. “That’s a darn shame, because I’m just getting warmed up!”
182. “Atlantis will honor your names forever. I only wish there was more we could do for you.”
183. “You sure you want to stay? There’s a heroes welcome waiting for the man who discovered Atlantis.”
184. “I don’t think the world needs another hero.”
185. “Let’s go over it again, just so we got it straight. You didn’t find anything?”
186. “I hope this piece of proof is enough for you.”

Well you asked for prompts… what about a scenario of them meeting/dating while they were still alive? (I know it’s confirmed they met after they died, but how about a cute ‘what if?’
Ooooh!! ^v^ This is a super cute What If scenario! (also I know the Jeoffs have both been dead for at least 100 years, but I'm just gonna say this What If takes place in more modern times - 60s/70s - just to make things easier)
Hmmm... I still feel like they both met each other as older adults (think early to mid 40s). Since Jeff is very much a dancer/performer, maybe the two randomly ran into each other while he was on tour and visiting Geoff's home town/a city near him? Naturally they hit it off super well and want to keep in touch, but they both have their own lives so they can't exactly start dating seriously right away.
They DO however begin a steady long-distance relationship, sharing phone numbers and addresses so they can send letters/post cards. They start getting to know each other and are just absolutely charmed by one another, easily falling in love ^v^
Geoff thinks Jeff is just amazingly talented and an incredible person who he wants to support while Jeff starts to see Geoff as sweet, kind and overall the person he just feels most at home with, making those moments where he's able to briefly break away from his touring or where Geoff is able to travel to see him all the more special. They send each other care packages, plan special evenings when they're able to meet up, and it's just all around a ton of sweetness and bonding that allows their relationship to remain strong in spite of the distance.
Eventually after several years of this, Jeff comes to the conclusion that he's ready to step away from the spotlight, knowing he'd be satisfied with smaller stages and more local performing avenues so long as his partner continues to remain by his side. Geoff, naturally, is thrilled and the two are finally able to make a home with each other, being happy and staying together for the rest of their lives (and afterlives, of course) ^v^
Thanks so much again for a fun prompt! Definitely an AU I'll want to keep in the back of my mind

[image description: an sac webcomic page. there’s a close up of parker writing something on a small business card, the edge of which is absorbing blood from the bite wound on his hand, then another close up of him handing the blood splattered business card to lewis- the card now can be seen to read “theodore p-” with a phone number and unknown cut off text. written on the card is the address “504 insidiae st, s-” the rest is cut off. lewis looks at the card and says “im still going to leave.” while moon frowns at parker. she turns and says “alright. habibi, would you mind?” the last part is directed to split, who smiles and gives a thumbs up. the next panel abruptly changes scene, split stands in the middle, staring stright ahead with his hands on the shoulders of lewis and jade, lewis on the left side looking back, wide eyed, still holding the business card, with 6 question marks around his head. jade on the right side seems more suprised than confused, with a ?! over her. she also is cradling in her arms plenty to various snacks in matching pink-and-blue heart themed glittery packaging. end id]
happy pride month, yall!! i want to make something for pride but idk what yet.
it would have been easy for moon and split to get the vigilante kids out by just pointing them towards to door but for both dramatic effect- and wanting to cut down on the page count- they get fast travelled.
also since its pride month, allow me to do some shameless self promotion for my etsy! please. if you’re in the uk, support your local queer artist and get some fun stickers, i have so many of them. if youre no in the uk, sorry im still working on figuring out how customs work but i also have a redbubble! or go find your nearest zine fair and find some cool stuff there

Lo Life
In the world of fashion and consumerism, we often find ourselves unwittingly entranced by the power of branding. The appeal of a well-crafted logo or a well-told brand story can be irresistible, leading us to seek out and covet certain products with a fervor that borders on obsession.
This journey began in my high school days in Virginia Beach, where I first fell in love with the streetwear and hip-hop style that dominated the scene. Growing up idolizing Pharrell Williams, I was naturally drawn to the vibrant and colorful designs of brands like Stussy and BAPE, which were all the rage at the time. As a struggling college student, I had to make every penny count, but when Commonwealth, the first streetwear boutique, opened its doors near my campus, I knew I had to splurge. I spent my entire lunch money on Stussy! And those free BAPE sandals from a Japanese fashion magazine? Don't even get me started. The packaging alone was worth the hype. It was the early 2000s, the golden age of streetwear, and I was all in - a fan, a consumer, a fiend for that fresh gear.
But as I grew older and began to navigate the world of video production in the 2010s, I found myself drawn to more practical and functional clothing that could withstand the rigors of travel and long days on set. That's when I discovered Patagonia, whose ethos and commitment to sustainability and environmentalism spoke to me on a deeper level. While laboring for Karmaloop, the digital retail behemoth, I was introduced to the preeminent outdoor clothier, Patagonia, by my co-producer, Will Kaner, who even authored an article for their publication. Naturally, I seized the opportunity to exploit the good 40% staff discount, accruing a surplus of gorp gear. I was adrift in the bewildering world, clad in Patagonia attire juxtaposed with Supreme, a peculiar amalgamation of normcore and Hypebeast. But alas, I was a mere neophyte in my early 30s, needing to be more knowledgeable about the customs and conventions of the scene.
Everything altered at the age of 38, an age I never envisioned, as I achieved the long-elusive milestone of accumulating a million dollars. It pains me to utter such crass numerical values, but truth be told, being a millennial millionaire is the equivalent of attaining a six-figure salary in the 90s. But with all that cash came a weird mid-life crisis that had me second-guessing my fashion choices. It's funny, because my old man, who had lived through some serious immigrant struggles, couldn't even afford to have a mid-life crisis if he wanted to. Crazy how life works, right? I didn't just want to amass a collection of clothes; I wanted to invest in pieces that would stand the test of time, and that I could pass down to future generations as heirlooms.
So there I was, 38 years old in the year of the pandemic, 2020. All my TV gigs and film projects were kaput, but what? I needed a damn break, man. The whole industry was in panic mode, and I felt burned out. Thus, the pandemic imposed an impromptu sabbatical, which led to me spending much more time on social media. And you know what I noticed? My peers were starting to dress a little more grown-up and sophisticated. I started checking out brands like Noah and Rowing Blazers, and damn, those Ivy vibes were calling my name. Not content with merely adding to my collection, I also took to the online marketplace, selling off my streetwear pieces on popular sites like Grailed and eBay. Indeed, it may have been the apex of the resell era, and I certainly reaped the benefits. In fact, I amassed nearly $20k in sales - not bad for a time of boredom and isolation. And yet, with all that surplus cash in hand, I couldn't help but feel that any future clothing purchases must be made with a deep investment in a brand that stood the test of time.
And that's where Ralph Lauren comes in. I've always been a fan of the brand's classic, preppy, all-American design aesthetic, but it wasn't until 2020 that I became truly devoted to it. That year, as the world was plunged into chaos and uncertainty by the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself seeking solace in the familiar and the timeless
In the past, I always had a thing for Polo, but I was never one of those hardcore "Lo Life" types. And let's be honest, I could never afford those Polo Bear sweaters back in the day. We had a few hand-me-down Polo joints and some CHAPS gear, which all the kids used to clown on. They'd say, "Yo, CHAPS stands for 'Can't Have A Polo Shirt'" haha. But back in 2020, with the extra time, I began to re-explore the world of Ralph Lauren more deeply, immersing myself in the brand's rich history and heritage. I learned about Ralph Lauren's influence on the fashion industry as a whole and how so many other designers and brands have borrowed from and been inspired by his designs. It's pretty charming to observe the extent to which Ralph Lauren's style has permeated the world of streetwear. Every other brand borrows elements from Ralph, with some even flipping the iconic Polo Bear to depict him engaging in questionable activities. The Polo Sport logo, too, has been emulated by countless streetwear brands, so much so that it's impossible to keep track of them all. One can see inspiration in the designs of brands like Aime Leon Dore, Palace, and Supreme, using vibrant colors, bold graphics, and classic silhouettes that pay homage to Ralph Lauren's legendary aesthetic.
In many ways, my journey into the world of Ralph Lauren has reflected my personal growth and evolution. From my early days in Virginia Beach to my struggles and successes as a video director to my current status as a devoted collector and enthusiast, I've come a long way. As I built my own collection of Ralph Lauren pieces, I carefully organized them into categories on a Google Slides document (yes, I know it sounds crazy). And even on film sets for projects I directed, I allowed the costume department to tap into my wardrobe to elevate the characters' looks. But you know what? It's all been worth it. And hey, if that means sharing my closet with the costume department on set, so be it.
Through social media and online forums, I connected with people worldwide who shared my passion for the brand and its timeless style. I discovered community and connection among other Ralph Lauren fans and collectors. And as I built my own collection of Ralph Lauren pieces, I found myself thinking more and more about the idea of legacy and passing things down to future generations. There's something deeply satisfying about knowing that the clothes I'm investing in now will still be relevant and desirable years, even decades, from now.
But why Ralph Lauren, you may ask? Well, for me, it's more than just a brand. It's a symbol of the American Dream. My father, a hardworking immigrant who struggled so that I could have a better life, serves as my blueprint for the American Dream. And Ralph Lauren, with its connection to the all-American design aesthetic and the aspirational qualities it fosters, embodies that dream in a way that speaks to me personally.
Of course, my journey with Ralph Lauren has not been without its bumps in the road. The psychology of brand loyalty and cult-like following, particularly in fashion, becomes evident when examining the emotional connection and aspirational qualities fostered by brands like Ralph Lauren. But for me, the camaraderie and investment in the brand have been a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, culminating in a deep appreciation for Ralph Lauren's timeless appeal and global influence.
In a world that seems to be constantly shifting and changing, the enduring allure of Ralph Lauren has remained a constant for me. And while some may see my devotion to the brand as a sign of being lost in the hypnotic world of branding, I see it as a reflection of my own personal evolution and growth.

You know the Chinese made an Enduro that went like 70 mi so the 200 lb person and it's a mid drive Enduro everybody on Earth would probably buy one
Zues
No doubt I have some stupid kid saying you would and it's because you can fit it inside your apartment and you can't fit it if you're getting a a electric motorcycle that the Enduro will fit and they're very skinny
Hera
So you can keep it inside where he has the big black one and probably just would be able to go 80 miles to have a bigger battery bigger motor still be a gang battery and it would not do that much money and you could probably get an alternate to get a solid one but like 7200 miles it's pretty good the tank of gas and get you about 70 miles and you can put in the apartment it's nice they probably would build a little differently and it'll be a little lighter and it would be easier to handle and get in and out and he probably lower it and you can't really ride one he doesn't have permission and he doesn't want to it's too dangerous but a lot of people would it's very nice and efficient he was taking home and charging or you carry a spare battery or two I mean really you don't need to if you track it and it work you can bring it in if it's not gasoline and you can take your battery to your desk
Thor Freya
We have a lot of demand over here for the electric Enduro I got my friend on the line he said you take the heavy tires and rims off and lighten it up where you can and I did that before and I've got one down like 1500 the three kilowatt and it has a 72 volt system and it's probably 3 hours to charge some people get two batteries it comes with one it was about 80 mph and at regular travel at about 200 pounds I get about a hundred miles which is perfect and it actually is perfect if you upgrade to the solid battery you get 120 miles out of it and the charges quick charge 15 to 20 minutes full charge and you never have a full charge usually takes 5 minutes and you'll go on top speed of about 110 mph and if you lower it it's 130 miles an hour and it goes a little further about 130 miles this is a great bike and our friend would get one if you can figure out how to survive on the road LOL but you can bring it into work and you can bring your battery to your desk charge it up when you're ready to go a lot of people do it and you know some people keep a battery at work as a spare and they keep it charged and they bring it with them if they have to go somewhere and it works this would be great just and if you take those dirt bikes and you want to modify them we have a package and you change only like three things the tires the rims and the brakes are very heavy for some reason and there's another component it's the fairings those damn things we have time so you just take them off and we have a small one okay like 40 lb it's ridiculous and he said that and I couldn't believe you knew it this is at one point I said that she was tougher plastic to take all that weight off and the bike weighs like 130 lb it's only 50 more pounds than his bicycle

The Ultimate Budget Travel Guide: Places to Go, Tips and Savings

First stop: Southeast Asia - a backpacker's paradise
The region is like Disneyland for budget travelers, offering a rich mix of culture and adventure, and here are a few of my top picks:
Vietnam
Imagine wandering the bustling streets of Hanoi, buying souvenirs in the charming markets, or visiting the stunning Ha Long Bay and let’s not forget the food! Vietnam has some of the most delicious and wallet-friendly street food you will ever find. For an average of about $35 a day, you can see everything from ancient temples to breathtaking sights without breaking the bank.
Laos
Often overshadowed by its aggressive neighbors, Laos offers a slower pace of life and breathtaking natural beauty. Take a stroll through the lush forest, discover an ancient temple hidden in the desert, or just relax on a secluded beach. Laos is a hidden gem for casual travelers, and with an average spend of just $30 per day, it gives you a true Southeast Asian adventure.
Cambodia
Explore the awe-inspiring ruins of Angkor Wat, take in the rich Khmer culture, or wander the beautiful city of Siem Reap. Cambodia offers a unique mix of history, adventure and affordability, all for an average of $30 per day.
Exploring Beyond: Budget-Friendly Gems Around the World
While Southeast Asia is a haven for casual travelers, there are plenty of other places around the world that won’t empty your wallet:
Nepal
Hike the majestic Himalayas, experience the spirituality of Kathmandu, or explore the serene beauty of Pokhara. Nepal offers a unique blend of adventure and cultural immersion with an average cost of $30 per day.
Nicaragua
Immerse yourself in the vibrant bustle of colonial towns, conquer a volcanic peak, or unwind on pristine beaches. Nicaragua crafts unforgettable experiences tailored to your dreams, with daily costs averaging around $35.
Bolivia
Explore the magnificent salt flats of the Salar de Uyuni, hike the Inca trails, or explore the cultural treasures of La Paz. Bolivia offers an intriguing mix of natural beauty, cultural richness and affordability, with an average daily rate of around $40.
Making your dream travel come true
While these destinations offer amazing value, remember that responsible budgeting is the key to a successful and enjoyable trip. Here are some more tips from a fellow traveler to help stretch your travel budget further:
Traveling during the shoulder season: skip the peak tourist crowds and peak prices. Choosing during the shoulder season often results in better flight and accommodation deals.
Embrace local transport: Public transport such as buses and trains are generally much cheaper than taxis and private transports. Consider it a truly adventurous journey!
Package wisely: Hotels, guesthouses and homestays offer much less expensive deals compared to luxury hotels. You can also make unexpected combinations with colleagues the travelers you meet on your travels have lasting memories!
Cook Your Own Food: Explore local markets and grocery stores and prepare your own meals to maximize savings on food costs. Plus, you get to experience local food in an authentic way.
Embrace free activities: Many destinations offer free activities like visiting museums, visiting national parks, or attending cultural events on free days. You might be surprised what hidden gems you find!
Remember, traveling on a budget doesn’t mean sacrificing experiences; It’s about being imaginative, creative and open to new adventures. By choosing travel destinations, with time constraints and budgets in mind, you can unlock a world of amazing travel experiences without breaking the bank, pack your bags, unleash your adventurous spirit and travel the world of beauty and affordability though! At Yashvi Tours & Travels, we go beyond the ordinary – we offer personalized tours and itineraries to tailor your trip uniquely to your tastes.

Paying for College With Title Loans | Texas Approval
Getting a college education is one of the best ways to increase your lifetime earning potential. According to recent reports by the Department of Education, college graduates can earn as much as one million dollars more than high school graduates over a 40-year time period.
That is great news for people who can afford to pay for the rising costs of a college education. Not only do college students have to pay for tuition, but there are other costs associated with attending college that may not be covered by student loans.
Shelter
Food
Books

A title loan representative will contact you to verify the information on the application. Once you are approved, your loan money will be deposited into you bank account.

Can a Parent of a College Student Apply for a Title Loan?

At first glance, using your vehicle's equity to pay for college expenses may not seem like a good idea. However, it can be a smart financial move if you are able to abide by the terms of the contract and repay the loan ahead of schedule.
The Benefits of Car Title Loans in Texas
If you have bad credit, getting access to loan money is almost impossible. This means if you run into a financial emergency, a worrisome situation will quickly become a dire one.
Car title loans are one of the very few borrowing options open to people with poor credit. Because title loans are secured with collateral -- the title to a car or truck you own -- title loan lenders bypass the credit verification process altogether.
That's only one way vehicle title loans are beneficial. Here are three more.
You can get a title loan even if you aren't working. Banks and credit unions usually only accept income from employment, but title loan lenders accept income from child support, retirement, disability, pension and more.
You have flexible repayment options. Many lenders offer instalment loans with monthly payments, just like traditional loans. That makes paying your loan back much easier.
You have choices. You're spoiled for choices in Texas when it comes to car title lenders. You have the freedom to choose the one with the best interest rates and repayment plans. Are you upside-down in a title loan? Have a title loan buyout Texas to lower your interest rates. With so many options in our state, you have the control.

A Convenient Truth
Next time you are in your vehicle, take a look around and start counting how many convenience stores you pass en route to your destination. They are on practically every street corner, and there are often two or more sharing the same intersection. C-stores are among the most necessary of retail establishments today, especially since most now sell gasoline.
It wasn’t always this way. The first 7-Eleven opened in 1927. It and the ones that followed were tiny by today’s standards, did not sell gas, and were not beholden to street corner locations. Often they were in the middle of a block, which now seems ill-conceived in that it could not attract people from two streets.
Today, c-stores are much larger, have much broader selections of merchandise, sit on two or more acres, and may have a bank and/or fast food co-branded outlet inside. There are more than 150,000 of these today, and without them, most of us would find our lives increasingly inconvenient.
But there’s a growing chain that is spreading out of Texas that challenges the notion of what a c-store is. Buc-ee’s, with 58 units spread between here and Florida, considers itself a c-store. It’s just that their stores don’t look at all like a 7-Eleven. Oh, and they’re going to break ground soon in Amarillo.
The new store here will be 74,000 square feet and sit on 20 acres. Need gas? An array of 120 pumps will be there from which to choose. While it is not quite the biggest unit in the chain—the biggest is in Sevierville Tennessee with 74,700 square feet—it’s not far behind. But an even bigger one—75,000 square feet—is planned for near Ocala Florida.
Is it truly a c-store, though? One for thing for certain, it is not a truck stop, because trucks are not allowed. RVs are welcome, but you can’t spend the night. How about we just call them travel centers then? Given the location on Amarillo’s east side (near where US 287 branches off I-40), it will be among eight legitimate truck stops, meaning that travelers will have a plethora of choices. It’s little wonder why some people consider Amarillo to be a truck stop town.
As a marketing prof, I stand in amazement every time I stop at Buc-ee’s. No, it’s not because I am buying food or merchandise. To me it is crazy how Buc-ee’s has developed a cult-like following, and people will interrupt their travels for an hour to shop and dine there. They have shopping carts, something you don’t see in a c-store. Perhaps their biggest claim to fame is clean rest rooms. They are immaculate.
Although the chain dates to 1982, it is only in the last five years or so that it started its explosive growth, as well as venturing out of state. A large portion of the merchandise is private label foods, along with a wide variety of souvenirs ranging from t-shirts to plush toys.
And umbrellas. I confess. I bought one, not because I wanted to show my allegiance, but rather because I was trapped inside their St Augustine Florida store when a downpour broke out. It was either buy an umbrella, wait it out, or get drenched. I gladly forked over $15.
So powerful is the Buc-ee’s brand that it sometimes spawns other retail, hotels, and dining in proximity. Take the Terrell Texas store, for example, which is situated near where US 80 breaks off I-20 east of Dallas. The area has blossomed from just Buc-ee’s to three hotels and a variety of fast food and retail choices. All because of a c-store that attracts hundreds of customers each hour.
Given their popularity, I am surprised they have not adopted e-commerce. Their website is pretty basic, much like you would have seen in the late-1990s. This is a golden opportunity missed, because specialty clothing, toys, and packaged foods can easily be sold this way to folks not lucky (I suppose) to have a Buc-ee’s nearby. Then again, Trader Joe’s has followed a similarly austere marketing program with great success.
I have monitored social media reactions lately concerning the groundbreaking, and noted that some folks wondered why Buc-ee’s did not build on the west side, closer to where much of Amarillo lives. But Buc-ee’s is not building this for Amarillo people. No, it is building it for travelers. And all this at a time when QT has arrived in Amarillo, along with the return of Circle K, adding even more c-stores—and more in keeping with the typical size—to the mix.
I am pretty sure that when c-stores arrived on the scene nearly a century ago, no one could ever imagine how the genre has evolved, especially with Buc-ee’s. I’ll be watching for them to open in Amarillo, and will no doubt pay a visit. I won’t be going to shop but rather to people-watch. I’ll bring the umbrella just in case.
