Speculative ships for Ace Attorney, hear me out:

Larry x Lotta - he's an artist, she's a photographer, can I make it any more obvious? They can both be dumb but have a heart of gold. Larry might actually stop chasing models and settle down. I'm legit not joking about this one, I will continue to push my Lotta Butz agenda.

Larry x Franziska - the WORST blind date in history. They never meet again.

Furio Tigre (as Phoenix) x Armstrong - Armstrong said he flirted with him in court. I've shipped couples on less evidence than that. Someone write something fucked up please I'm begging you. (Alternatively they start an essential oils MLM together.)

Godot x Ron x Desireé - another documented flirting event. Ron is the sandwich filling.

Kristoph x Matt Engarde - Matt thinks he sooooo fucking clever but Kristoph would be 5 steps ahead in his manipulation at all times. Truly toxic.

Ranking the Rebecca ships because I’m bored as hell. This is just my personal opinion, so feel free to agree or disagree as you please :)

1. Beatrich - My absolute beloved. Two sapphics in straight passing marriages and one is the sister of the other’s husband? Older woman/Younger woman? Bea canonically kissing “I” on the cheek in greeting? The pining potential? Chef’s kiss I tell you. Bea acting as I’s confidante is one of my favorite headcanons and it would be so cute if they were together. I wish there were more fics of them.

2. Franxim - This ship only flew into my radar when I read a review of Rebecca where the reviewer joked that Frank simped for Maxim and I regret nothing. I used to only acknowledge it as a crackship, but then I read a fic or two where they were unironically shipped and never looked back. They’re childhood friends in my headcanon which is another favorite trope of mine. Try to tell me they didn���t have something going on when they were younger and wanted to rekindle things after Rebecca died 😂.

3. de Winters (I/Maxim) - Say what you want about these two, but I love them. They need to learn to communicate, he has to control his anger issues, she needs to stop getting into her own head, and they’re a fucked up ship, but they’re my fucked up ship. I think they do genuinely love each other, but have to work through their issues in order to get to that point of being able to show it. Plus they’re the reason I like the age gap trope so that’s gotta count for something.

4. I/Frank - It’s a pretty conventional pairing all things considered, basically what could’ve happened if “I” ended up with someone closer to her in social standing like Mrs. Van Hopper insisted she should’ve, but I love it anyway. They’d be so soft together, and as much of a de Winter shipper as I am, Frank would be an objectively better husband. If you don’t like the de Winters together but still want an Older man/Younger woman pairing, or if you just want Rebecca to be less angsty, you’d probably like this one.

5. Danbecca - The only reason I didn’t put them above the other two is because I’m not a fan of this ship being written as soft or requited as most of us Rebecca fans are. I like it to be as toxic as possible. Danny being treated as whatever the romantic equivalent of the golden child is and pining for, worshipping, someone who doesn’t really love her back my beloved. Basically I love this ship because it’s what makes Danny as a character so interesting. Again, another fucked up ship, but my fucked up ship.

6. de Winters (Rebecca/Maxim) - I honestly had no idea whether to put this above or below Danbecca, but ended up putting it here. Obviously we all know they hate each other, we all know they should’ve gotten over themselves and divorced, but I love me some toxic ships, especially ships that delve into how an abuser can impact the abused person’s psyche, and these two definitely deliver.

7. Clarich - I don’t have much to say about this one only because there’s little to no content for them as a ship. I think it’s a really cute premise and I adore the idea, but it would be higher if there was more to go off of.

8. Danvich - I tried. I really did. I want to like this ship. I wrote YCYSC specifically to try and understand what the hype is about, and people have written so many incredible fics that have also made me understand the hype, but it’s just not my cup of tea, at least not romantically. I think it works better as a platonic pairing. Danny’s true love is Rebecca after all 😂.

9. Beavers/Danbea - This is a ship I don’t understand and probably never will. See number 8, but also imo their personalities clash way too much for them to work as a romantic pairing. Bea would be annoyed with Danny’s meticulousness and strict personality while Bea’s bluntness and lack of tact would get on Danny’s nerves. Like with Danvich, it works better for me platonically, but in this instance they’d be the pair of friends who are always fighting but if someone else messes with them they’re ready to go to bat for the other.

10. Rebecca/Beatrice - Another ship I just don’t really get. I’ve read a few fics of them, but I personally prefer the dynamic of them disliking/hating each other. I don’t really have much more to say about these two.

11. Rebecca/Jack Favell - Ew. No. Just no. They’re cousins. I will say that the one good thing about the 2020 film is that it gave Jack some depth in terms of his love for Rebecca though.

Now for the poly ships. I made this a separate category because I’d lose track of my ranking if I included them in the other list.

1. I/Maxim/Frank - It’s no secret that this one is my favorite. Frank has the brain cell between the three of them and probably forces the other two to communicate 99% of the time. They’re all bi disasters and I love them for it. I like to think Maxim and Frank were together first and brought “I” into the fold because they were both like “Aww she’s so cute can we keep her 🥰?”

2. Rebecca/Maxim/I - This obviously would only work if Rebecca wasn’t a downright awful person, but I read this great fic called “The Devil Does Not Ride Us Anymore” that had this exact premise in mind and have been hooked ever since. Again, Maxim and Rebecca probably met “I” and went “That one, I want”. Plus if you’re like me and can’t decide which you prefer, you get the best of both worlds: Older woman/Younger woman and Older man/Younger woman.

3. Rebecca/Danny/Beatrice - Another ship I don’t really have much to say about. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it. Maybe someday there will be a fic that changes my mind, but unfortunately today is not that day.

3. least favorite character

i feel a little bad about this, but my immediate first thought was mark hoffman. sorry. i think hoffman is a really complicated character, (in a good way!) and i resonate a little bit with him since he’s another one of those tragic fictional saw siblings. that one comparison between him and his sister with will and pamela actually shot me dead i needed like fifteen minutes to recuperate after that one haha. his jigsaw upbringing is so heartbreaking as well. but i think I don’t really magnetize toward him because 1. he fucking murdered my beloved saw character and 2. he’s just a little bit too overrated that I can’t help but disregard him. i adore the niche! sorry mark. there’s a buncha hoffman fans out there that will give you all the love, just not me though heh. he’s got a cute face though I’ll give him that

4. a character you relate to

might be a strange answer but laura hunter from saw ii! i kind of see myself in her. she appeared really shy and frantic and anxious and if that doesn’t describe me I don’t know what does. also her mannerisms. something about her sad sad face resonates with me

7. do you have any ships?

when I first got into saw I was really into chainshipping, and I still do like that ship, but besides that I don’t really think about a ton? i do love pintshipping (brit and mallick) but that might be because i also love greg bryk haha. i was a little bit into piranhashipping (william and john) at one point, but i think i was more excited about will content than i was about the actual ship? i did enjoy the william apprentice au that surfaced cause of it, but personally im not really an avid piranhashipper. to each their own! i was also introduced to the pamela and joyce pairing a little while back and i adore that one actually. i wonder what their ship name would be…oh! and of course there’s always the beloved william and grace le domas crackship.

also I don’t know if this counts, but outside of romantic ships i do love the platonic pairings like strahm and perez. AND of course, the siblings ever, william and pamela. i don’t think anyone understands them like i do…

8. how you got introduced to the series

someone really special to me told me about it! i usually took most of their movie recommendations with ease but when they introduced the saw franchise to me i was indescribably horrified haha. at that point i’d only watched a handful of horror films and was still iffy on the genre as a whole. i just remember being in the car with them while they gave me the elevator pitch about the franchise and im just sitting there like ‘oh god there’s no way I’d watch something so horribly gory like saw!’ but oh my gosh im so glad I did. i wish I recorded my first reaction to the ending of the first saw, i was forever changed. and it led me toward becoming a fan of peter outerbridge, which i definitely did not see coming! i think if i walked up to last year ruby and told them that we love the saw franchise and this one specific canadian actor i think she’d look at me like i was crazy.

16. a trap that terrifies you

okay i had to simmer on this one for a while. because “terrifies” makes me think of one that i get scared watching rather than one i get disgusted watching? an obvious answer would probably be the acid trap, but that’s more terror of witnessing william easton’s sad sad face and fast-approaching visceral emotional damage than anything. but i also think of mateo’s trap in saw x, which i think genuinely terrified me when i watched it in theaters. there’s just something about the mask clasping down on his face that i still can’t shake from my mind. i also refuse to watch ivan’s trap from saw iv, as soon as that one starts im running to the mute button and closing my eyes haha. i think that one is a mix of terror and disgust though.

Goldenrain: 100/10. They are so fucking cute and the whole family of these two and Usa and Deedee is amazing

mind sharing your riverdale top 5 ships and top 5 characters?

Ok this was hard! Sorry for the delay, anonymous friend. Also, I haven't seen season 4 though I'm aware of spoilers. So:

Ships, in no particular order:

Jughead x Sweet Pea - unsure if this is just a rarepair or what people used to call a crackship, idk. Anyway after they got off on the wrong foot in early s2, I was hoping to see them get closer, at least become better friends, but this show forgets about my son Sweet Pea!!! I also enjoyed their clashes over Serpent stuff and was hoping to see more of them (+ Toni) making decisions together

FP x Alice early on in the show, when it was hinted that they had a history and season 1 kept using FP's appearances to surprise us (first he's Jughead's dad, now he's a figure from Alice's past? Alice???). I loved the mystery there! Everyone in this town has secrets!

Reggie × Veronica in season 3, I was rooting for them even though I knew the show wouldn't make it long term because Reggie isn't a ~core four~

Toni x Jughead because I liked their dynamic when they first met, and because if Serpent leadership HAS to be a monarchy, wtf? Toni is right there? Yes it's weird that Jughead the new kid got named leader at the end of the season, but someone young and brand new won't be stubborn when co-leader Toni wants to get rid of ingrained traditions like that silly dance. 2x11 also shows that Jughead can screw up but listen to Toni's criticism eventually

Betty x Veronica because Veronica was SO COMMITTED to Betty immediately. In episode 1, I kind of hoped when Betty moved on from Archie she might be into Veronica. She was so hurt and angry when Archie and Veronica kissed! Veronica was so desperate to fix their friendship which was 5 minutes old! This could have been such a great slow-ish burn!

(Speaking of slow burns, is it just me or should Toni and Cheryl have gotten more time to have that? S2 had 22 episodes, they could have spent a few more scenes on the getting-together part. Right?)

Honorable mention to Sweet Pea & Josie because I thought they were cute and hoped their fling would stick, but I respect a girl who knows her priorities + a boy who knows his emotional needs and sets boundaries. Also to Joaquín & Kevin because they were cute and my heart broke for Joaquín during his conversation with FP (another FP surprise, at least for me, because I didn't suspect Joaquín of being a spy when he seemed so genuinely into Kevin). Finally, Betty & Jughead because I found their getting-together arc in s1 sweet even though I kind of? Wasn't expecting it? I thought you guys were bros? Oh well. The show spent a lot of time on them and I ended up caring a lot.

Characters:

Toni: loved her immediately and was kind of disappointed that she and Jughead weren't able to restart the Red & Black because the teacher got arrested then their school got shut down. That would have been great for college applications lol but I also would have liked to see the paper come back as season 2 unfolded (how would their stories compare with Blue & Gold articles?).

Her being into true crime is something that I wish had come up more, instead of a thing she and Jughead bonded over for 5 minutes while it was relevant to the Black Hood plot and then???? Then what?

This show makes me worry about Toni so much! In s3 when she was living with Cheryl and they argued? And Cheryl threatened to kick her out? No!

Sweet Pea: a couple of times in s2 it was implied he was a hothead who always wanted to fight, but these are kids. Most of them are ready to fight someone. And I wouldn't have minded in season 2. Sweet Pea can stab a Northsider, as a treat.

Anyway, he was interesting as one of the main teen Serpents, bc he had enough influence to confidently say things like, "you're not getting the Serpent vote." Despite how inconvenient his anger was for the lead characters, he was looking out for his friends and tbh, he was right. (He was also kind of right about Jughead using them for information but holding himself separately. Jughead wasn't obligated to hang out with and like everyone, but he made friends quickly w Toni and this was her main friend group; he was going to be required to meet them sooner or later.)

Despite being the first person to WANT to fight, he mostly listens when his friends try to stop him. His friend-telepathy with Fangs is the best.

I LOVED his conversation with Josie, when he said he liked her and couldn't be casual with her anymore. That's so healthy and honest! I love him

I'm sad he disappeared, but at least I can't complain about how people treat him.

Jughead: his narration is occasionally a but much for me but that's the show, right? I loved his little aside/daydream in 1x04 about how maybe the town would rebuild the old drive-in in 100 years and wonder about them. And his narration about there being only 3 teens sitting in the booth at Pop's, the first time the main 4 all sit together.

I ID'ed so hard with him being technically part of a larger friend group even though he really only considers 2 of them his friends, also that bit early on in s1 where he's sitting in the bleachers w his laptop, alone in a crowd and unimpressed? Lol

He seems like a kid who holds a lot back to protect himself, but he keeps forgiving his dad and he was initially happy that his mom and JB came back to Riverdale. Like, he's so cynical but he just wants to belong somewhere and be accepted!

Anyway once he decides you're his people this kid does shit like: Have meals with Alice. Help set up baby showers and school dances. Get blackmailed into delivering a mysterious box for a shady lawyer. Meet with a rival gang so they can beat him to death

TEEN WOLF DISCOURSE !!!!!! HELL YEAH

Right so, I thought today’s talking points could be:

1. Alison Argent not getting a proper funeral. Fuckin amazing character, awesome, likeable, capable and smart. Miss fan favourite dies tragically and while all the characters at the time react appropriately, fact she doesn’t get a funeral scene? Total mess. And all the mentions of her after in later seasons were cute but hardly proper tribute to her character, like every single one of the main cast should’ve been bawling their eyes out in the season finale and THEN some.

2. The writers not knowing what to do with reformed villain characters, specifically the twin alphas. While not the most interesting of the alpha pack that terrorised season 3, the fact that they stayed on as cowed omegas trying to get into Scott’s pack was quite frankly, embarrassing to watch. Love it. They’re intro to the show wasn’t at all threatening, and their fusion gimmick was one of the more ummmm.... questionable additions. Like, werewolf fusion??? That’s the most crackhead idea ever but at the same time I’m fascinated if it were at all possible to make a sort of giant werewolf voltron. Now that would be a gag lmao. Anyways my point is is that they’re boring even in terms of lgbt rep, I’m supposed to believe two serial killers wanna play second fiddle to captain goodie two shoes Scott McCall? Don’t think so lmao.

3. Lydia Martin learns both like, black widow level martial arts skills and some black canary cry gig, then subsequently never uses these abilities again in following seasons? Lydia is one of my favourite characters on the show, starting from an unashamedly brilliant and cruel popular girl in the first season and going on to be one of the more interesting creatures in the teen wolf universe? Her Banshee status was poorly utilised as the show goes on since her abilities are in a constant state of being undefined, she can sense death? Traumatic but cool, she can communicate with half dead hallucinations? Sick I love it, gimme more of that. Making her a character that could fight multiple grown men twice her size with both hand to hand combat and weird sonic banshee powers? I’m in heaven tbh. But she only ever does the more interesting things with her powers only once. Her character seems to be constantly growing to fill certain aspects of the show and then retracting back immediately to a... let’s say less capable version of herself.

4. Malia And Scott??? Hello??? Fijgkffkkfkfkfjj crackship is somehow canon and it’s laughable like I do not get this pairing at all lmao. This basically just chalks up to the fact that the show wrote of Kira (before they could do her character a modicum of justice), and the writers needing Scott to be in a hetero relationship forever and ALL TIME! these two together make not even a lick of sense tbh, I’m gonna get into malia later but really there is legit nothing there that makes their attraction to each other even remotely possible/probably or even enjoyable imo. Also who else forgot that Lydia and Scott hooked up in season two? Now that would’ve been a much more interesting relationship considering everything tbh

5. Peter is a sniveling little bitch, so why does his ass always keep coming back? Also the deadpool from season 4? Shoulda been scrapped at the writers table if you ask me. While it would’ve been interesting for Malia to deal with the fact that she has not one but two trash ass serial killer parents, we don’t actually see that growth of a relationship between her and her annoying thotticus of a father. Cool idea, utterly squandered. And while not being a serious villain from season 4 on (which was ass if I didn’t mention it already.) there’s no point to his character at all except for just being a creepy asshole who’s rude to teenagers that could all quite literally kick his ass if they wanted to.

6. The missed opportunity that is the severely underwritten characters of Kira, Malia and Hayden. I think I’ll elaborate more on this in their own post cuz there’s a lot to say, but just imagine if we got Kira really losing control of her thunder kitsune persona, malia legit acting like somebody who spent the better part of their life as a literal coyote and not a character from a Lele Pons skit, Hayden actually getting a chance to explore her own unique version of being a chimera like??! What the fuck was she even??? A werekangaroo???? we really coulda had it all tbh.... but alas

7. Derek Hail might as well have become a landlord. He has a big ass apartment he owns, he apparently has enough money to drive in whatever that sleek sports car that was, he can legit turn into a full wolf. Like, what’s this bitch even doing in the show??? Nothing :), so they should’ve made him an asshole landlord who housed all the displaced supernatural creatures of beacon hills. For no reason lmao. Also they should’ve really explored all the stuff with his past relationships because he was effectively sexually abused like multiple times by Kate and that other Druid lady (idk I forgot her name)

So that’s what I have to start with lmao but honestly if I think about it some more I’m sure I can come up with lots to say lmao. So what do you guys think?? Some of my Favorite Hinata Ships

Just some of my favorite Hinata ships None of these are in a specific order because I don't think I can rate them properly ALSO I know that I said I was going to post some more headcanons but I just got distracted playing Minecraft(don't question it) and forgot to rewrite them, sorry I'll be posting them later tonight or tomorrow

1. SasuHina(Sasuke Uchiha x Hinata Hyuga) Possibly my favorite crackship of all time, I first got into SasuHina in middle school after looking for those Hinata being a prodigy and Hinata being on team 7 fanfiction and then a fanfiction about Hinata being a member of the anbu popped up and it just so happened to be a SasuHina fanfiction and I just fell in love with SasuHina

2. KibaHina/ ShinoHina/ KibaHinaShino(Kiba Inuzuka x Hinata Hyuga/ Shino Aburame x Hinata Hyuga/ Kiba Inuzuka x Hinata Hyuga x Shino Aburame)   3 ships that tie, I just couldn't put these ships on different numbers. They all just belong to each other. Kiba and Shino have arguably the closest relationship with Hinata out of all the characters series(maybe more than Naruto, I don't know). Do you remember how protective Kiba was over Hinata, remember that scene in part one during the chuunin exams, do remember how happy he got when Kabuto helped Hinata and as you know I heavily headcanon Shino as having an unrequited crush/ one-sided love for Hinata

3. NaruHina(Naruto Uzumaki x Hinata Hyuga) While I'm not the biggest fan of NaruHina nowadays I still think it's cute, and Hinata just marrying her crush of over 10 years is just one of the cutest things ever. The family dynamic of the sunshine family is just cute and it warms my heart.

4. LeeHina(Rock Lee x Hinata Hyuga) My love for LeeHina is 75% headcanons and 25% Naruto SD. LeeHina is the relationship between the best boy of Naruto and the best girl of Naruto and as you would expect it is extremely fluffy and heartwarming. You cannot tell me that Lee and Hinata had absolutely no relationship, I headcanon that after Kiba and Shino Lee was one of Hinata's closest male friends if not just friends in general. After becoming actual friends with Neji after the chuunin exams I see Lee coming over to the Hyuga Compound multiple times and considering Lee's personality he became friends with Hinata really fast. (Here I am lowkey making some Naruto headcanons)

5. SakuHina(Sakura Haruno x Hinata Hyuga) The first wlw ship I ever got into, I actually despised SakuHina when I was younger, mostly because I was an immature child who genuinely hated Sakura, not sure why just was, but as I got older I realized it was stupid and after I rewatched Naruto I began to realize that Sakura and Hinata made a beautiful couple. It was like the first time I rewatched High School Musical 2 and realized that I Don't Dance was essentially about Chad lowkey questioning and low(high)key becoming Ryan's boyfriend. I mean a large portion of The Last was just Sakura flirting with Hinata I mean she genuinely was checking her out. If you want to experience something beautiful you should check it out.

50 "Quick Tricks" drabbles (aka, my crackship of Tommy “Speed” Shepherd with Loki Odinson/Laufeyson)

Disclaimer: Loki is not a villain (or not completely, anyway) in any of these stories, since I liked his characterization from “Young Avengers” and “Agent of Asgard” so much.

Tommy remains pretty much the same in each story (I couldn’t picture very many versions of him), but Loki does have six different forms; each of Loki’s faces comes with slightly different behaviors and mannerisms, which was fun to play with.

1.     “I’ll protect you.”  [6/1/2019, based during "the War of Realms"]

The words were spoken in low tones, almost too quiet, and Tommy was amazed that he'd heard them at all, surrounded as they were by screaming civilians and the booming foosteps of the Frost Giants and the wild laughter that rose from the Angels of Hevn and Demons of Muspelheim and Dark Elves of Svartalfheim; the din of war filled his ears, but he still heard Loki's whisper loud and clear.

He turned to Loki, the traitorous god looking older, so much older than he had ever looked before, and the god just looked back at him, his comforting smile betrayed by the look of fear in his eyes.

"I swear, Thomas, I will do whatever I can to end this War of Realms, and you and I and everyone you love will make it through," the god of lies promises, his voice sad and distant, and Tommy has no doubt that he means every word of it.

2.     “You always duck away when you smile.”  [6/1/2019, based during "Young Avengers"]

Loki didn't answer the unspoken question that came with Speed's comment, preferring instead to glare out the window of Noh-Varr's ship.

He couldn't very well explain why he didn't want anyone to see his smile, his genuine smile - after all, they were only supposed to see him as a villain, supposed to hate him at the end of all this, and how could that happen if they saw him smile, and saw him behave in ways they sympathized with and understood?

"You have a very handsome smile," came Speed's voice, conflicting with the way Loki saw his own reflection twist into a leer, mouthing the words back at him mockingly: 'Demons don't smile.'

3.     “Like I expected, you’re much comfier than my pillow.” [6/1/2019, featuring Loki as the Goddess of Stories]

Tommy had been surprised when the goddess -- a thin, little scrap of a girl with nothing but power and ancient knowledge and understanding of the world rolling off of her -- had suddenly leaned against his shoulder from behind, nuzzling happily against him like a sleepy kitten, fairly cuddling him.

He let out a snort of laughter at her statement, moving to brush Loki off, but then she snuggled closer, her cold chain mail shirt pressing against his back while her equally cold lips found a place against his neck.

She was hard and cold and terrifyingly powerful, with raw energy rolling off her tongue with every word, and if she wanted someone to cuddle with, well... Tommy figured she wouldn't take 'no' for an answer, or that was the excuse he told himself when he turned to pull her closer.

4.     “I’m nervous too.”  [6/1/2019, based during "Young Avengers"]

Loki was trying to be compassanate in this moment, he really was, but obviously he had failed in some way, his heart sinking when Speed spun around to glare at him, his face angry enough to make the god take a step back.

"That's easy for you to say," Tommy growled. "If this mission goes sideways, you'll only lose your ticket back to your goddamn palace in Asgard - I'll lose my brother!"

The trickster god opened and close his mouth a few times, looking for the right words to say and, for the first time in his very long life, coming up empty; he wanted to say something, anything to get Speed back on his side, but, if the look on the mutant's face was any indication, it didn't look like mere words would do the trick this time around.

5.     “Do you like it?”  [6/1/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

Tommy looked up at the question, momentarily abandoning his sandwich as he turned to look, and then completely dropping it when his eyes landed on Loki, her soft, supple body on display, wrapped only in the lingerie that was her latest shopping spree aquisition; aside from the so-very-extremely sexy garments, the only other thing Loki wore was her customary helmet, the gold horns arcing gracefully over her head and somehow directing Tommy's gaze back downward.

Tommy felt that his jaw had gone slack, and he closed his mouth on reflex, his eyes still roaming over the beautiful body in front of him.

“... I love it," he finally managed, his throat dry, and was rewarded for his efforts to speak by Loki's tittering and her soft kiss to his forehead, her body angled in a way that made parts of his body come alive in ways he didn't really want to deal with right now.

6.     “Let me hug you.”  [6/1/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

The phrase wasn't one that would normally come out of Tommy's mouth, and certainly not a phrase that was ever directly at Loki, and yet that was exactly where those words had come from and how they were being used.

Then again, it wasn't often that people caught Loki in a moment where she was broken and vulnerable, her body wracked by sobs of despair, her heart full of grief over her own actions and hatred for herself, the fear and pain and disgust and utter loathing filling her head to the point she thought it would explode, all of her lies and pretty curls of hair and golden horns erupting in one glorious, destructive end of a story.

But, Tommy had seen her, and wasn't judging her or mocking her, but was instead looking at her with earnesty and concern that didn't belong on his face, and should never have been directed at a beast such as Loki the Villain God, but there it was, and, when his arms came to rest in a warm, comforting circle around her, it made her cry anew.

7.     “Piggy back ride?”  [6/1/2019, based during the current main universe time frame]

Tommy scoffed, sneering when he turned to see Loki's arms outstretched, the god mimicking the act of a child waiting to be picked up, the quirk of his lips indicating that it was a joke, probably in reference to the way Tommy occasionally carried his brother into battle.

"You're too tall for me to carry, you stupid giant," he answered, reaching over and giving the trickster a hard shove, making the god laugh and stumble to the side; Loki's hand grasped at Tommy's, closing around his wrist and pulling the mutant down after him, the pair landing on top of each other on the ground.

"... No one's ever called me tall before - I'm considered short in Asgard, and a runt among my own species," Loki mused aloud, the fingers of his hand tracing along Tommy's face before pulling him in for a kiss that Tommy had no qualms about reciprocating.

8.     “I want to kiss all of the freckles on your cute face.” [based during the current main timeline]

Tommy rolled his eyes; he loved Loki, he really did, but sometimes the god tried too hard to be romantic --or whatever that garbage was meant to be-- and he just came off as weird.

"I don't have freckles and I'm not cute, now stop using stupid lines that you read online on me!" the mutant glared at his godly lover, reaching over and tearing Loki's smart phone out of his hands.

Loki only laughed and pulled Tommy flush against himself, pressing kisses across his face, whispering in his ear "The sentiment remains the same, dear one, now hold still."

9.     “Can you keep holding my hand, please?”  [6/1/2019, featuring Loki, Goddess of Stories]

The words were out of her mouth before she'd even realized she was thinking them, and Loki looked away in shame; she was Loki, Goddess of Stories, the Maker and Breaker of Words and Worlds and Knower of All That Ever Was And Ever Would Be, and the simple touch of a young mutant human shouldn't be something that quiets her fears and calms her concerns.

If Odin or Freyja were here, they would judge her, and call her out on her childish need for someone to support her, to push her to do the right thing and still be there when she inevitably failed.

But her parents weren't here, and Tommy was, and Tommy seemed to have no problems with taking her hand in his once more, his fingers squeezing hers and letting her know that he wasn't going to let go of her, and that knowledge alone was all it took to bring a smile back to her face.

10.     “Wait, the tears are good tears?” [6/1/2019, based shortly after "the War of the Realms"]

It had been a week since Loki had come back from the dead, like the god he was, and Tommy had found he couldn't keep the tears in, having not cried since he was in his early teens, and having gone through so many emotions in such a short span - horror, grief, hope, despair, utter sadness... only to come out the other end with shock and nothing else but sheer, utter joy.

Unable to hold them in any more, the mutant man had simply burst into tears, sobs wracking his body as Loki ran to him, clutching him and holding him and trying oh so badly to comfort him, the trickster god being beyond confused and concerned when Tommy smiled up at him through his tears.

"I saw you die, saw it on the news... but you're back, you're really here..." A smile began to quirk at the ends of Loki's lips, and he clasped Tommy to himself as the human finished speaking. "You came back from the dead, and you came back to me."

11.     “I think you look cuter with me.” [6/1/2019, featuring Loki the God of Stories as he looks in "Agent of Asgard"]

Loki grinned when he saw Tommy's eyes quirk at the statement, looking both perplexed and put out in the way that only Tommy could look, as if to ask 'what's that supposed to mean?'

"Because," the God of Stories continued, gesturing to his tired eyes and sharp nose and crooked smile and missing teeth, his hand too thin and too pale, with long, black, scraggly fingernails that he so enjoyed chewing on when he was frustrated (and he often was), his gestures inviting Tommy to take in the image of the broken little runt of Jotunheim. "So long as you're standing next to this face, your looks are bound to improve!"

Tommy made a face that may have been mistaken for a grin, and suddenly moved to stand beside Loki, parting his lips in an invitation for a kiss before whispering "I'll think you'll have to be the cute one from now on. I'm too busy being the ruggedly handsome one, obviously!"

12.     “I won’t forget this moment.” [6/1/2019, featuring Jotun Loki]

The Jotun's words were strangely sincere, Tommy thought, and they came across as too thoughtful and genuine for someone from a species of mighty warriors; but, then again, it seemed that the small Jotun known as Loki wasn't an average Frost Giant, and the way he smiled at Tommy sure was endearing.

After a second, Tommy returned the smile, pleased for some reason when the blue man's eyes lit up.

"Let's just get back to stargazing, yeah? You can show me where your planet is," Tommy answered, relieved when his new friend took the bait and began eagerly pointing to and naming stars and planets, but doing nothing to distract Tommy from the way his stomach was flipping around.

13.     “This is where we first met isn’t it?” [6/1/2019, based in the current main timeline]

Loki waved his hand, gesturing in the direction of where he and Tommy had first encountered each other, each one doing their part in that day's battle.

Tommy sighed half-heartedly, giving Loki a look that was full of both fondness and annoyance. "Does it count as meeting if we were on opposite sides and fighting each other, Mr. Once-a-Villain-and-Sometimes-Still-a-Villain?"

"Absolutely." Loki laughed and threw his arm around Tommy's shoulders, pulling the speedster to his side and kissing the top of his head. "First impressions are important, and your presence on the battlefield simply stole my breath away, dear heart."

"That's because I punched you in the trachea, Lo."

14.     “I’ve always wanted to thank you, but was never sure how.” [6/2/2019, featuring Loki, Goddess of Stories]

Tommy opened and closed his mouth, at a complete loss for words; he'd been letting Loki lie low in his apartment for awhile, sure, but he hadn't expected to come home to find Loki in female form, lying sprawled out across Tommy's bed with seemingly nothing over her body but the sheet and her horned helmet.

She looked up at him, biting her lower lip in a way that showed her crooked teeth and her missing tooth but somehow still looked incredibly sexy, and when she spoke it was with a voice full of lust and desire. "... but I was hoping this would suffice, if you were willing?"

Tommy was certain that he'd never made a decision faster in his life; anyone who looked into the bedroom later would have seen a man and a woman lying naked together, asleep and content in one another's arms, with not a single regret or care in the world for possibly the first time in either of their lives.

15.     “If you’re happy then okay.” [6/2/2019, featuring Loki, Goddess of Stories]

"Are you sure?" Loki asked, wanting to clarify with the man she had come to love that he was really alright with his partner's gender changing from time to time. "I was a man when we started dating, and I could always change back if that would please you--"

"Lo," Tommy's voice came in a warning hiss, and he grabbed her by a horn on her helmet and pulled her closer to his face, tilting her head back and forcing her to look him in the eye. "You already know I don't care about what gender my partner is, so why the insecurity?" He kissed her then, on her temple. "Besides, you know I love you, right? I just want you to be happy and comfortable."

Loki beamed up at him, reaching up to remove his hand from her helmet and raising her lips to meet his. "Thank you. I love you, too."

16.     “Let’s share.” [6/2/2019, based during "Young Avengers"]

Tommy balked at the sentence, and then again when Loki was shoving a milkshake in his face, only one straw sticking out of the frozen treat. "... No."

"Why not?" Since they'd begun dating a week ago, Loki had become a monster, always stealing or demanding direct kisses and trying to weasel indirect kisses, like some weird, attractive leech of smooching. "It's mint/chocolate/vanilla swirl, you're favorite~!"

With a sigh, Tommy gave in, wondering how and why he'd fallen for this dorky, irritating, hipster god of mischief?

17.    “It wouldn’t be the same without you.” [6/2/2019, featuring Jotun Loki]

Loki turned around at hearing those words, his feet stopping just at the edge of the Bifrost; Thor had discovered how to open the Bifrost and was summoning Loki back to Jotunheim (and what for exactly terrified him), and when his brother the king called, Loki felt compelled to answer, even if that meant leaving the man of Midgard he had become so fond of.

Hesitantly, he turned back to look at Tommy, the speedster now standing behind him with a sad smile that didn't belong on his face, and was surprised when Tommy suddenly put a hand to his neck, pulling him down far enough for the human to kiss him.

"I understand why you have to go and all, but..." Tommy whispered, pulling away enough that Loki could raise a hand to his lips in surprise, already missing the human's warmth. "... Just know I'll still be here if you ever come back."

18.    “Everything ends up being about you somehow.” [6/2/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

The goddess beside him turned to give Tommy an innocent look, as though she were also susprised at being such a publically hated figure, someone who was impossible to go anywhere with because, due to the things she/he had done in the past, she was banned from most places and blatantly ridiculed in others... and everywhere they went, it seemed that someone would always interrupt them, trying to 'save' Tommy from her, acting like she'd put him under a spell of some kind.

"I haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about, Thomas," she insisted demurely, pouting at him in a manner that was too cute for a Loki, ignoring the way the restaurant owner was glaring at them as they were ushered out the door. "But it's not like you didn't know who and what I was before you agreed to go out with me."

Tommy sighed defeatedly, but then Loki took his hand in hers and smiled at him apologetically, and gods but he couldn't look at that face without forgiving her entirely. "Maybe we should just go back to my place and order takeout."

"That sounds lovely."

19.    “It tastes like…. You tried…. I’ll eat it. It’s a good attempt. Really.” [6/2/2019, based during "Young Avengers"/”Agent of Asgard”]

Tommy's disappointed scowl did not go unnoticed by Loki, but the hipster god chose to ignore it for the moment, prefering instead to fill his mouth with the frozen treat his teammate had attempted to make.

"I shouldn't be allowed to make food," the mutant muttered, putting his head on the table and covering it with his hands, clearly frustrated by his failed attempt.

Loki smiled weakly and took another mouthful of the too-cold, much-too-salted confectionary, admitting "You shouldn't feel too bad, Thomas, I am a god after all - you could probably feed me rat poison and I'd still be capable of eating it," which only served to make Tommy groan in utter defeat.

20.    “Why are you hiding against me like this?” [6/2/2019, featuring Jotun Loki]

A lot of the Jotun's actions confused Tommy, but very few things puzzled him as much as this new habit that Loki had developed, the giant hunching his tall frame over and pressing into Tommy's side any time there was a storm outside, all timid and trembling, like a child trying to hide.

Tommy coaxed Loki away from his side, carefully running his warm hands over the Frost Giant's cold face, soothing away the creases of fear that came with a clap of thunder. "What's wrong, Lo?"

"The thunder... the storm..." Loki shuddered, another clap from the sky causing him to yelp and press himself against Tommy, the mutant wrapping around him and comforting him. "My brother is near."

21.    “I heard you weren’t having that great of a day… These are your favorite candles, right?” [6/2/2019, featuring Loki as God of Stories from "Agent of Asgard"]

Loki cracked open an eye from where he was sitting in his meditation circle, finding himself facing Speed, the mutant boy carrying an armload of candles from Bath and Body works - six in total, enough to recreate his magic circle with, and each candle labeled with the name of Loki's favorite scent.

Loki was surprised by the gesture, to say the least, but slowly smiled, his chapped lips peeling back to expose the gap where a tooth should have been (freshly knocked out, thanks to a certain thunderous brother), and, with a gesture, levitated the candles out of Tommy's arms, setting them in the circle around him and lighting them all with his own green sparks of magic. "Thank you, Thomas, that was most kind of you. This scent... reminds me of home."

His smile stayed this time, and when Speed asked if he could join him in the circle for a time, the newly reborn God of Stories only nodded, happy to have the company.

Tommy rolled his eyes at Teddy's statement, scoffing in disdain at the question; Loki was attractive and good at making that sort of face, but that certainly wasn't the only reason Tommy went along with her whims.

He turned to look at the goddess and she gave him that look again - the look that made his knees weak and ensured that he would do anything she asked of him.

... Yeah, it was check mate, alright.

Loki chuckled to himself as Tommy moved away a little bit, just out of range of the trickster god's reaching finger, his mutant lover casting him a half-hearted glare with something akin to a pout.

It was adorable, and Loki wanted more than anything to pull that pouting lower lip into his mouth, to tease and lick and suck until he had reduced Tommy to a moaning, whining mess beneath him.

"Of course, dear heart," he teased, stepping closer to ruffle Tommy's white hair, earning himself another glare as he continued. "That's why it's so much fun!"

24.    “Your hair is sticking out everywhere. Cute.” [6/4/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

Loki sneered in response to the comment, running her hand tiredly through her bedhead, black strands of hair pointing in every direction, beads and gold decorations clinking against each other as she shifted through the messy braids.

"... shut up."

Tommy grinned, setting down his morning coffee in favor of pulling her closer to steal a quick kiss. "I love it. You should keep it exactly like this forever."

"Hmm..." His goddess lover wrinkled her nose, kissing him on the lips before moving to kiss his cheek, then moving down to nuzzle comfortably into his neck. "Only if you never wear clothes again."

25.    “Wait, let me get a picture of you there.” [6/4/2019, based in the current main timeline]

Startled by Tommy's order, Loki pulled his head back, ponytail whipping through the air behind him as he turned to stare at his mutant lover, surprised to find Tommy was holding up Loki's own Stark phone.

Tommy smiled as he snapped the picture. "You needed a new avatar for your Twitter, right? Congratulations, now you have a brand spanking new, startled avatar."

Despite himself, Loki laughed, and soon the pair had devolved into just taking silly pictures of themselves and each other.

26.    “If you need my shoulder, or my hand, or a hug-” [6/4/2019, featuring Loki as the God of Stories from "Agent of Asgard"]

Tommy winced at how awkward he sounded, even to himself, and finally fell silent and looked away, reaching up uncomfortably to play with his hair, uncertain of what to do with himself now that he'd sounded like an idiot.

Loki was meditating --as he often did after a particularly rough day of running errands for his mother-- but he cracked open one eye when Tommy fell silent, cooly regarding the mutant who had come to check up on him.

"You're welcome to come sit beside me, Thomas," the newly reborn God of Stories finally said, patting the empty space to his right, and, almost mechanically, Tommy moved to sit beside him, wanting to be there for the man he'd come to admire so much but not truly knowing how.

27.    “Kiss me again.” [6/4/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

Loki shifted into his female form while speaking the sentence, his thin lips giving way to her plump, sexy ones, her eyes hidden beneath long lashes that curled in a way that was reminiscent of the horns on her helmet - the helmet was the only thing that didn't change in some manner with the shift, and Tommy wondered why that was.

Tommy grinned, the mortal having no qualms about kissing either (or any) of Loki's forms, and pressed a second kiss to the god's waiting mouth. "Heh, don't have to tell me twice."

Her hands were in his hair, and her soft, cool body was flush against his, and he just knew that neither of them were going to get any sleep tonight at this rate.

28.    “I’m sorry, but it was too funny for me to intervene.” [6/4/2019, featuring Jotun Loki]

Loki tried to hide his laughter behind his hand, but to no avail - Tommy's mother, Wanda, had been talking her son and babying the young adult in ways that she clearly intended to be embarrassing, if that wink she'd flashed to Loki was any indication, and Tommy had done nothing but complain.

The human glared up at him, and the Jotun floundered a bit, trying to force his mouth into a straight line.

"Shut up, Elsa," Tommy managed, and Loki chuckled and patted the human on the head in response.

29.    “It doesn’t matter what they think, I just care about what you think.” [6/4/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

Tommy swallowed and sunk deeper into the arm chair, tired from trying to explain Loki's genderfluidity to his friends, and he snapped his head up, taken aback by the god's comment. "... What?"

"I said," Loki leaned down over him, the lavishly beaded braids in her hair clinking more than her chain mail shirt did when she moved, and she pressed a strangely soft (for her) kiss to his forehead. "Yours is the only opinion I'm interested in."

"Oh--!" Tommy stuttered, staring up at the powerful creature that stood before him, wondering what he had done to get her attention. "Um, my opinion is that you're hot?"

"Hmm... I suppose that answer is satisfactory."

30.    “You can ask me as much as you want, I’ll say I love you each time.” [6/4/2019, based in the current main timeline]

Loki heard Tommy's words echo over and over in his mind, the god's frame sagging tiredly with each echo; Tommy loved him, and the God of Lies and Stories knew it to be the absolute truth, when really the mutant ought to have hated him just as much as everyone else did.

Loki was the monster, the villain, and that wasn't something to be changed over time, as that was the role he'd been given in the story he'd been placed in, the Elder Gods having written the story too long ago for there to be any revision to it, and too recent for the story to be rewritten.

The trickster god sighed and settled deeper into his bar stool, emptying another glass of beer as he listened to the words that doomed him repeating over and over in his head.

The words were out of Tommy's mouth before his realized, his mouth moving faster than his brain, and, out of the corner of his eye, he saw Loki flinch, the newly recreated god turning to stare at him.

"... Why?"

Tommy shrugged, looking away and carefully training his eyes on the ground, not wanting to admit his crush even to himself. "Your magic is helpful in a pinch. That's all. Don't read anything into it."

There was silence for a moment, then a half-hearted "Alright" from Loki, and Tommy felt like stepping outside of time to punch himself in the face.

32.    “That trip looked hilarious– but also kinda painful; you okay?” [6/4/2019, based in the current main timeline]

The speedster growled up at him from where he'd landed on the ground, but Loki only continued to smile mirthfully down at him, amused by how alarmed the mutant had looked by the sudden appearance of the god mere moments ago and even more amused by his displeasure.

"Here," the trickster god reached down, gripping the front of Speed's uniform and pulling the mutant into an upright position, ignoring the glares Speed was sending him. "Up you get~!"

The slap he received to his face was no surprise, and only served to make him laugh harder, but the sudden, impulsive kiss that drew him in took him aback, and he fell silent as Tommy pulled away again, not saying any words as the mutant paused and then swooped in for another equally impulsive kiss.

33.    “I called you because I can’t fall asleep.” [6/4/2019, based during "Young Avengers"]

Tommy frowned at the words, tempting to ask what kept gods awake at night but deciding against it, instead settling for a puzzled "Why me?"

"... I didn't want to wake Wiccan," the youthful god answered after a moment, pursing his lips before continuing. "I just need someone to sit with me for a time, and," he cast a look in Tommy's direction. "you're not known for sleeping much, yourself."

Tommy suffered nightmares and was afraid to sleep (but he wasn't going to mention that), so he figured it wouldn't be so bad spending the night with Loki, avoiding sleep and bad thoughts together for a few hours; things would different in the morning light, as they always did, but the night was long and dark and lonely enough to make people clutch at one another in ways they otherwise wouldn't.

34.    “I let you win.” [6/4/2019, featuring Loki as the God of Stories from "Agent of Asgard"]

"Of course, dear heart," Loki answered patiently, choosing to focus instead on the water he had boiling for tea instead of the nearly-naked body of the Tickle War loser behind him.

Tommy raised himself up on shaky legs behind him, and soon the tall, gangly, warm body of the human was pressed against Loki's back. "... You're a monster, you know?"

Loki grinned, aware that his mangled teeth probably made him look like a leering troll but deciding to ignore it for now. "Believe me, Thomas -- I am aware of my monstrous nature."

35.    “You look good in it.” [6/4/2019, based in the current main timeline]

The compliment seemed genuine, and, after a moment's hesitation, Tommy smiled proudly, striking a heroic pose in his new costume and putting his hands on his hips. "Yeah? You think? I'm a big fan of the new design myself - I think it makes me look pretty damn cool, right?"

The untrustworthy trickster god Loki grinned, setting down his beer bottle as his eyes shifted up and down, appraising Tommy's entire body. "But, I have to say... I think you'd look better without it. Or, without anything on, I should say!"

Tommy frowned and smacked the sometimes-villain on the arm, making Loki laugh aloud.

36.    “Don’t look away from me.” [6/4/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

A sharp bark of laughter escaped Loki's throat; that was easy for Tommy to say -- he wasn't the one surrounded by ghosts of his past selves, all standing around and taunting him, loudly reminding him of every sin he'd committed, everything he'd ever done, and how pointless it was to try not to be the villain of every story when that was the entire role she was born for--

Her inner ramblings were cut off, as Tommy grabbed her by the sides of her face, forcing her to look at him --not them-- and holding her still.

He looked at her face, and sighed. "Look, I don't care what they say or whether any of it is true -- this is here and this is now, so just look at me and listen to me and don't you dare pay attention to anyone else!"

37.    “I’m not jealous, I’m just practicing my pout.” [6/4/2019, based during "Young Avengers"]

For some reason, that statement made Tommy grin, even as he held the wriggling, angry amphibian in his hands and as he looked straight at the pouting deity in front of him.

"Yeah, clearly," Tommy answered, hoisting up the squirming teammate in his hands. "And you turned David into a frog because...?"

Loki sighed, looking not quite apologetic and not quite proud of himself as he regarded the frog, his eyes narrowing as he met eyes with David, the teammate who had been attempting to steal a kiss from Tommy. "Well... I suppose that was because I was jealous."

38.    “I just want to hug you.” [6/4/2019, based during "Young Avengers"/"Agent of Asgard"]

"Oh? Do you really?" Loki asked without looking up from the books he was scouring, each volume held aloft in the air by magic and gently spinning around him.

"Yeah," Tommy answered, and this time Loki really did look at him, and judging from the look on his face Loki would have wagered that Tommy wanted a bit more than a hug.

"Well, come here then," Loki told him, making a beckoning gesture with his hand; he wondered absently if Tommy was turned on by his magical pursuits or if Tommy knew he only pursued them after having a particularly bad day of being, well, Loki, but, as the human's warm body came to wrap around him, he decided not to bother with answering that question.

39.    “You’ve kissed me like fifty times today.” [6/4/2019, featuring Loki as the God of Stories from "Agent of Asgard"]

In all honesty, Loki wasn't keeping count, and Tommy had probably actually kissed him at least fifty times in the last second, taking his super speed into account.

Tommy smirked at the comment, knowing that the other wasn't nearly as bothered as he let on. "Oh have I? You wanna make it fifty-one?"

Loki made an affronted grunting sound, but dutifully moved his face to let Tommy get at his mouth, not putting up any sort of fight as Tommy claimed another kiss.

40.    “You love me.” [6/4/2019, featuring Loki as the God of Stories from "Agent of Asgard"]

A statement, not a question, and the words ate away at Loki's mind, making him squirm, making his body burn inside and out.

The statement came again, and this time Tommy's voice was more sure of itself, but with an underlying question beneath, as though he knew the facts but still didn't understand the reasoning why.

The god of lies felt his tongue dry up in his mouth, sticking to the roof and unable to loosen, so he nodded instead of speaking, afraid of the reaction he would get; in the end, Tommy didn't react much at all, but his hand moved a little closer, pinky brushing tentatively against Loki's own.

41.    “Can we be alone for a bit?” [6/4/2019, based during "Young Avengers"]

Tommy was impulsive as all hell, and anyone who met him knew it in a heartbeat, but he saw even Billy wince in confusion when those words were out of his mouth like a racehorse out of a gate.

Loki lifted an eyebrow as Billy left, but Tommy ignored it, letting his body control itself for a bit instead of taking orders from his mind; he slammed the mischievous god backwards into the wall, pressing against him and kissing him in ways that even Tommy didn't know he was capable of.

When he pulled away, Loki had a look on his face, like a cat preparing to play with a mouse, and Tommy felt his heart skip against his ribcage.

42.    “The stars wish they were as bright as you.” [6/5/2019, featuring Jotun Loki]

The words were out of Loki's mouth before he could stop them, and he felt the blush of darker blue that must have crept across his face as soon as he said it, almost distracting him from the surprised way Tommy turned to look at him, both of them forgetting about stargazing entirely.

Tommy opened his mouth, as if to say something, but then closed it again for a moment, growling and shifting closer. "And what exactly do you mean by that, alien?"

Loki was startled by the human's actions and their sudden closeness, and his mouth froze up, almost too scared to even answer... but, after a moment, Tommy looked away from his close scrutiny, and Loki's hand somehow found itself clasped in the much smaller hand of the human, and it seemed like everything was alright.

43.    “You make me cliche, but I love it I guess.” [6/5/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

"Do you really?" Loki teased, the gems in her hair tinkling gently as she turned her head, casting him a sexy smile over her shoulder.

Tommy crossed the room to where she was sitting on a stool, scrying bowl in her lap, grinning as he kissed that sexy smile of hers.

"Yeah," he whispered, moving up to kiss her hair, careful to avoid her horns as he listened to her sigh contentedly below him. "I really do."

44.    “I’d feel better if you kissed me.” [6/5/2019, based during the current main timeline]

That statement got him an annoyed look from the mutant speedster. "Yeah... After that little stunt you pulled, that's not gonna happen."

"Oh, come on, Thomas!" Loki responded cheerfully, ignoring the glare he received for using the hero's first name on the battlefield. "I just saved your life, didn't I? Don't I deserve a reward for my chivarly?"

Speed sighed, sounding almost amused, and, grumbling, leaned over to kiss the top of Loki's head where the god lay sprawled on the ground. "Only after you endangered my life, you jerk."

"Details."

45.    “You’re overthinking– I’m yours. That’s all I want to be.” [based during "Young Avengers"]

Loki snapped his mouth shut, stunned by the declaration; he knew Billy's twin was impulsive, but to just say something like that, like it was no big deal...

But Tommy didn't take his words back, choosing instead to take a step closer, standing beside Loki with nothing but utter conviction in his eyes, and Loki didn't have to do a check to make sure that the young hero was being nothing but honest with him.

"You don't know what you're saying, Thomas," the reborn monster god said quietly, hoping to push the mutant away, and wondering when exactly it had become so hard to betray those he cared about.

46.    “You’re my favorite.” [6/5/2019, featuring Loki as the God of Stories from "Agent of Asgard"]

Loki turned to Tommy, seemingly amused by the statement. "Your favorite what, hm? God?"

"Nope!" Tommy grinned at the diety's confusion, laying his head down on Loki's shoulder and wrapping himself around the diety from behind. "Favorite demon!"

Loki's shoulders shook with dry laughter. "Well... I suppose I could be both."

47.    “You want to take another selfie?” [6/5/2019, based during the current main timeline]

If anything, Loki was amused by Tommy's inane question. "Of course I do, Thomas! This lighting is perfect, and my worshippers on Instagram demand nothing but the most quality of their god's content!"

"... They're just followers, Lo," Tommy deadpanned, and Loki didn't have to look at him to know he was rolling his eyes. "Nobody worships you in this day and age."

"You worship me," Loki answered, pulling Tommy in for a kiss before he could argue, making sure to snap a picture - oh, those silly fangirls online were going to go balistic over this one!

48.    “I’d let you if you asked.” [6/5/2019, featuring Lady Loki]

Tommy rubbed at where his hand had been slapped away, momentarily confused by the almost apologetic look Loki cast him, her own hand still raised in the air from where she'd struck him away from her horns; he didn't know what it was about her horns that she was so defensive of, exactly (it was just a stupid helmet, after all), but every time he tried to grab them while making out with her, she would react angrily like this.

But, this was the first time she had offered him an alternative, so he swallowed his pride for a moment. "... May I please touch your horns?"

She dipped her head in a strangely submissive manner, casting him a soft, trusting smile. "You may. You and no one else."

49.    “Since it’s you, I’m gonna let it go.” [6/5/2019, featuring Loki as the Goddess of Stories from "Agent of Asgard"]

Loki grinned at her lover as she carefully placed the lopsided flower crown on his head, her black lips pulling aside to show the gap between her teeth. "Oh, come now. You look adorable! Besides," she continued, ignoring the scoffing sound he made, "I saw these on Instagram and wanted to try them out."

Tommy only grunted, accepting the second crown from her and trying carefully to fit it around the horns of her royal diadem. "Couldn't you just magic one up if you wanted?"

"I could..." She smiled at his complaints, knowing that he must have loved her to put up with her peculiar whims. "But where would be the fun in that?"

50.    “My only regret is not telling you I loved you sooner.” [6/5/2019, based during the "War of the Realms"]

Those were the words that whispered through the air, entering Speed's ears from across the battlefield, echoing in his mind like a sad refrain; it filled Speed with sorrow, and made him fall to the ground, his arms mechanically catching him, ignoring the din of war that came from all sides around him.

He didn't have time for Demons or Angels or Dark Elves or Jotuns -- Loki was dead, killed at the hands of Laufey, and that was all that mattered right now.

Taking a shuddering breath, Speed raised himself back to his feet, looking around at the battle around him without really seeing it; he was an Avenger, and he would avenge the god he loved, even if he had to kill Malekith, Laufey, and Cindr by himself.

Trying to be better, part 2

If you haven’t read part 1, this story won’t make any sense! Below and under the cut, part of me sailing the crackship Echosung into slightly more serious waters. I hope you enjoy! <3

4:45 PM. She sighed as she held her phone in the air, time telling her how little she had done today. A soft whine and the scratching of nails came from beside her bed, Lady insisting that she needed to go out for a walk.

“Yes, yes. Gimme a minute to get ready,” she responded, pushing herself off her bed, blowing wavy hair out of her face. Lady didn’t seem to care for her owner’s prep time, running in circles in the hope time would go faster. Long used to her poodle’s antics, Kyungju dropped her phone on the desk next to her wardrobe.

It was right then a new notice popped up on her screen. She expected another meme from the chatroom with her overseas friends, but it was an e-mail. An e-mail with a particularly unexpected sender that made her swipe it away.

“Mom!” she yelled towards her open door while she attempted to brush out the creases in her dress so it didn’t look like she used them as pajamas. “Did you give the agent from Heart & Seoul Models my private email address?”

The gentle tapping of heels on marble followed, her mother’s shadow cast on the cream-colored wall. “Of course, I did dear! Why wouldn’t I?”

She groaned. “What the fuck, mom?!”

“Kyungju Choi, I told you to stop swearing!”

“And I told you, I don’t want these agents to be able to contact me!” Irritated, she brushed her hair down with her hands. Lady followed her every move, doing her best for constant attention.

“I don’t know why you’re so against becoming an idol again. You were so successful last time.”

She nearly lost balance, putting on her blazer and trying to win the argument. “I don’t want that anymore! It ended in a bunch of really bad bullshit, or did you somehow forget that we moved to Europe?”

“You made a mistake that you’re not going to make again. Your father and I agree that you need to be doing something other than loafing about and taking the odd modelling job. Or did you plan on finding a rich man and marrying him?”

“No!” Kyungju yelled. “God mom, I can’t believe you’re still suggesting that!”

Now properly dressed, she slipped her phone in her pants pocket and eyed the unpacked moving boxes in the corner as she left her room, making her way to the stairs in the hallway. Her mother stood on the ground floor, wearing a frilly apron, the only sign she was a housewife - unlike her hair in a tight bun and a face full of bold make-up. Kyungju glared as she ran down, but her mother had always been better in the glaring game. Lady hopped down the stairs, tail wagging from the noise they produced, noise she saw as fun and exciting like all noise really.

“God blessed you with a beautiful body and you’re wasting it,” her mom continued to nag as Kyungju tugged on her boots and jacket. “You may not have been able to charm that albino boy, but he’s young and poor - there’s plenty of older, richer, more interested men you should be aiming for.”

She couldn’t stand hearing more. “I can make it on my own, just give me time to figure out how. Come Lady,” she beckoned, and her poodle obeyed, trotting along while Kyungju grabbed the leash off the coat hook. “I’ll see you tonight mom,” she said, leaving her home for the city streets.

Her mother was merciful and closed the door behind her without another word. Kyungju sighed while Lady sniffed every possible corner and tree she could find, running back when she was called, allowing herself to be leashed. The fluffy ball of energy proceeded to pull Kyungju along the pavement while she pondered.

Her mother was making too big a deal out of this. They just moved here, surely she was going to find something, a job she could be proud of and that had nothing to do with Echo Girl. She nodded while pouting, ignoring the confused face the woman passing her made.

Rush hour had ended, and the once crowded streets slowly found silence as employees and students ran into their homes for dinner and relaxation. Kyungju turned the corner and ended up in a small shopping centre where everyone was closing up. At the end of the plaza Kyungju spotted the small building with illustrated cats and dogs on the windows, a sight that brightened her mood instantly.

Yoosung’s clinic. It wasn’t actually Yoosung’s clinic, he was just one of the vets working there, but in her mind it was. Conveniently close to her house, she had rushed Lady there - best idea she ever had. For once she was glad Lady was such a glutton.

Through the glass, she saw the blond behind the counter, busy with a customer, his red glasses nearly on the top of his nose while looking down. He’s cute, she thought. Against all of her expectations, Yoosung was understanding and warm. She smiled and began to walk over eagerly, feeling like Lady about to get a treat.

Guilt struck her, making her halt. Lady tried to run ahead and strained against the leash a few times before giving up and sitting down, scratching herself.

Kyungju bit her lip, continuing to stare at Yoosung who had no idea she was out here. Tempted as she was to enter the clinic and come up with some excuse to ask Yoosung out for an official coffee date, she couldn’t justify it. Yoosung was around her age and had his shit together better than her. No doubt her mom would be very pleased to know her daughter planned to hit it off with a doctor. An animal doctor, not that that would stop mother from counting in paychecks.

What was she even thinking? With a history like hers, it wasn’t right for her to ask him out. His friends, her parents, possibly even him, they’d all get the wrong idea. She had gotten a crush on another RFA member. What if she was responsible for causing a rift between Yoosung and the RFA?

And surely a guy like Yoosung must have a girlfriend as sweet as him already.

She spun around, fully intent on marching back to her house, only to be met with a man who obstructed her entire view. Startled, she took a few steps back. The man wore a typical gray office suit and his balding head was shiny from all the gel. His eyes widened as his amazement grew upon staring at her, dropping his suitcase next to his feet.

“Erm… Can I help you?” Kyungju asked.

“Echo Girl!” the man exclaimed in joy, clapping his hands together. “I can’t believe it’s really you! It’s me, Ben! I was- no, am!- your biggest fan, I used to send you a letter every month. Do you remember?”

Shit. “Ah… Not really. My agent let interns open the fanmail, I... didn’t.” Unpaid interns, she remembered. She didn’t want to bother with anything that wasn’t Zen back then.

Ben blinked at her. “What do you mean, you sent me replies back! They even had cute signatures! I really felt like we connected!”

“Automated reply letters,” Kyungju answered sheepishly.

“And the personalized autographed photo?”

“A copy. And the signature was never mine.”

Kyungju felt Lady paw at her ankles. Ben seemed lost, brows furrowing as he processed this new information. “I don’t… I don’t understand! We didn’t have something special back then? Why?”

“Because I didn’t care about anyone except me back then. Surely you must have read the scandal about me.”

The middle-aged man shook his head. “The magazines reported something, but it seemed more like a typical idol scandal. But then you disappeared. The fan club assumed you abandoned us.”

“It’s true, I did.” Better he knew now she was garbage. “It’s okay if you’re mad.”

His face completely fell. “I can’t believe this. I thought you had maybe some kind of family crisis and would come back in the future. I was hoping for your come-back! And then I could genuinely claim I am the number one fan!”

Lady reacted to his anger, growling as loud as a tiny poodle could. “God, I shouldn’t have wasted so much time on someone like you! Do you know how many you fooled with the fake crap you sold them? Was your singing even genuine or autotuned?”

“It was real,” she said, cruel words crash making her heart hurt. Lady was barking now, causing other shopkeepers to peer through their windows. Damn it, she swore quietly.

He jabbed a finger, nearly poking her chest. “Real my ass! You are supposed be pure, kind-”

“Hey!” came a sudden new voice, and they both turned towards the man with glaring purple eyes standing next to her. When had Yoosung snuck up on them?

Turned out Yoosung can be very intimidating, Kyungju discovered. His hands were clenched and his posture, wider from the white coat he wore, made him look ready to attack. The sweet, soft boy image of him she harbored since last time was nowhere to be found and she didn’t know whether to be fascinated or terrified. “What are you doing?!”

Ben bristled. “What am I doing? I’m giving this fake piece of shit what she deserves, that’s what!”

“How dare you talk to her like that - she’s still a human being!” Yoosung yelled back at him.

“It’s alright,” Kyungju said to Yoosung, who had moved in front of her, partially blocking her view of the angry fan. “I don’t mind, he has the right to.”

“Don’t say that!” Yoosung whirled around, expression equal parts anger and shock. “Kyungju, you can’t let him treat you like this!”

“Why not?” She bit back. “It’s true what he’s saying, isn’t it?”

“Why does that matter?!” He said, before pinching the bridge of his nose, calming down considerably. “I mean, yes, you did some bad things in the past. I don’t think anyone would dispute that.” He sighed, shoulders drooping. “But it’s obvious you’re genuinely sorry for what you’ve done. Letting yourself get verbally abused like this isn’t helping anyone. Why didn’t you tell him what you told me?” He gestured towards Ben, who stared at them considerably confused.

“This is different. He doesn’t know me.”

Yoosung gently took hold of her shoulders, and she recognized the same comforting gesture she gave him in the café. “Neither did I really, before we met. And even then, I was impressed by you. Everyone else would be too, if they knew. I’m sure of it.”

The dam she didn’t know she had inside her burst. Her eyes started to well up. Embarrassed, she rubbed them vigorously with the palm of her hand, feeling the heat of her cheeks. “Why are you so sweet?” she asked with a small pout. “I don’t deserve that kindness.”

“Of course you do. One day I’ll make you believe it.” Suddenly shy, he let go and blushed a little, aware of what he had said. Kyungju couldn’t help but giggle.

The sound of shoes scuffing the pavement brought about the startling reminder that they were never alone. Ben was still next to them, lost and hands raised awkwardly.

“Err…” he started.

“Look,” Kyungju intercepted, turning to him and clapping her hands together. “I can’t change the past and give you back your lost time. But I am genuinely sorry, and I have changed. I won’t be performing anymore.”

Ben returned to rage mode. “What does sorry do for me?! Do you think just cuz you’ve got a cute face that I’m going to forgive you?”

Kyungju grimaced. How long was this guy going to go on before she would have to threaten him? “I’m not asking for your forgiveness.”

“You should, because I’m done with you! It’s over!!” he yelled, grabbing his suitcase, walking off with his nose in the air. “Goodbye forever!”

Ben marched off, leaving the two blinking at the sudden turn. He had left the street before Kyungju and Yoosung grasped what had just happened, picking up the jaws that had dropped off. Then, she heard Yoosung attempt to muffle his snickers and before she knew it, they both laughed in unison.

“Wow, did you have to deal with his type all the time? I would go crazy,” Yoosung replied after he calmed down.

“Not all the time, thankfully.” Kyungju let out a sigh of relief. “Thanks Yoosung, I appreciate it.”

“No worries, when I saw you and that asshole outside, I couldn’t hold myself back.” Bashful, Yoosung scratched the back of his head.

How does he switch from scary to adorable so fast? Kyungju wondered. “I’m sorry for distracting you from your work.”

“We were closing up, so it’s fine. But what brings you back here again?”

“I live close by. And I, eh, I decided to pass by while walking Lady,” Kyungju admitted, blushing more.

“It’s good to see you still healthy! Haven’t been eating anything weird, have you?” Yoosung said as he bent down to pat Lady, who jumped to try to put her paws up as high as she could on Yoosung’s clean pants.

With things having calmed down, Kyungju followed Yoosung to his clinic, waiting inside while he locked up, his co-workers waving at them just like last time. She waved back as Lady chewed on her leash in boredom.

“Oh, Jaehee asked me to tell you that her café has new latté flavors. Maybe you’d like to try them?” Yoosung asked while he changed from his doctor’s coat to his leather jacket.

“Jaehee?”

“Ah, she’s my friend and the café owner. The café we went to last time.”

Is he asking me out? Kyungju thought, feeling the temperature rise. “Ah, sure, I’d love to try them. But won’t your girlfriend get annoyed with you hanging out with me?” she asked, instantly regretting how obvious she was.

Yoosung grabbed his keys on top of the front desk. “Girlfriend? I don’t think so, seeing as I don’t have one.” He shrugged, leading Kyungju to the front door.

It was hard for Kyungju not to let out any of the high-pitched squealing in her head. “Then, of course!”

“Great! I’m sure Jaehee would love your opinion on them,” Yoosung said enthusiastically, locking up the clinic behind them.

Kyungju wondered on whether this was a date or not. “Okay, but only if you choose a latte for me.”

“But… What if I choose something you don’t like?”

“I’m sure I will like anything you pick.” Kyungju smiled, Lady trotting by her side as they began to walk.

“You have varied taste, that’s good! I can be a bit picky sometimes,” Yoosung replied, placing his hands in his jacket pockets, practically beaming happiness.

Kyungju had a feeling Yoosung wasn’t getting it. But, either way, she was content being with him, at his side, feeling more comfortable than ever.

Honestly, and respectfully OP, it's literally EVERYTHING said above with a big cosign. Since I mentioned the pair the spares bit myself, I can speak for myself in that regard when I say it's literally everything said above and that's it.

The irony of this is no one, absolutely NO ONE has said Maria and Kyle are an awful ship. Even those criticizing those in fandom desperate to pair the two spares together to protect the ships they care about aren't saying Kyle and Maria is a bad ship. I'm literally one of those people who is side-eying some people's motivation behind shipping two characters that haven't even interacted, but I have also admitted (as have others like myself) that I'm totally game for the show exploring it for a lot of the reasons you mentioned, and I cannot wait to actually see the two of them interact because they probably will have fun chemistry and could be a cute ship.

There are like a handful of genuine Kyle and Maria shippers, and not content (can't wait for it though so bring it on), and they're more than entitled to have fun with their ship. I say the same thing for the Kyle and Alex shippers out there. Nothing delighted me more than seeing Kylex shippers too, so wholesome and sweet and I lowkey started shipping it myself thanks to them. 😘

But the people who are treating Maria and her love life or Kyle and his love life like an afterthought by shoving them together as an afterthought for the sole reason of them not interfering with their Malex and Echo ... those people are the only people who some fans are side eyeing. That's it. You can usually find them literally stating how cute the pairing would be in part because it wouldn't affect Malex. They're usually the same ones passive aggressively saying "this friendship is cute" under anything that remotely has to do with Michael and Maria. So, yeah, in that sense it's transparent, and those people and only those people are who some fans are annoyed by.

Those same fans who think it's fucked up to entertain the idea of Maria sleeping with her best friend's soulmate if it's Michael are pairing the spares with Maria and Kyle even though Kyle is Liz's ex. If we really hated the ship itself, we'd bring that up a thousand times more because Maria knows about Kyle and Liz's history. She doesn't know about Michael and Alex's, right? But it isn't about that at all.

This fandom at least on here isn't the most open to those who aren't talking about the majority's issues, so any Maria and Michael fans on here mostly stay out of fandom or go elsewhere. They don't even have the space to discuss anything here. So what is this imaginary war if you will between two subsections of fandom with more similarities than differences who you need a telescope to find anyway?!

Especially when the issue brought up is explained. It's not the ship that anyone has an issue with, it's the motivation of some people for shipping it that people are annoyed by.

It's true. I don't even think anyone realizes that literally anyone who says anything that can remotely be perceived as anti Malex has to insist multiple times that they are in fact a Malex shipper or express how much they like the ship before they can state their opinion. Even then, one still runs the risk of being called homophobic or other things. Seriously, pay attention to how often people do that, like they're trying to prove something, or apologizing, or trying to make sure they don't get attacked, and then think about how messed up that is. Because that is mesed up.

All anyone wants is to be able to discuss all parts of this series. They want to discuss all the characters. They want to be free to discuss any and all ships, hell even crack ships without putting disclaimers up to make sure they aren't attacked or having what brings them joy shat on by the majority telling them they are wrong or not respecting them. Or reminding people that it's a reboot all the time, like no one knows that.

And Maria fans just want to talk about Maria. Maria's life. Maria's storylines. Maria's friendships. And yes, even Maria's love life whether it's Michael or Isobel or Kyle or someone else. They don't want an entire tag dedicated to a fantastic character to ONLY be filled with people speaking of her as a contrivance. That's it. That's the only complaint here, and it is annoying that it keeps getting turned into other things that it isn't about.

It's true that there has yet to be a single person who said a hateful word about Maria and she's well liked. But that doesn't mean that the way in which she is discussed isn't hurtful, and inconsiderate, and annoying, and problematic.

Simply put, people want to be free to discuss more than just one particular ship or topic or a couple of characters without those discussions or tags or photo sets or meta getting derailed or taken over etc. And the only reason the Kyle and Maria thing is brought up is because of how it ties in with everything else going on with fandom and Maria and even fandom and Kyle. The ship itself isn't the problem. It's actually cute af in theory and could be in practice when they give them screentime together to see if the chemistry is there. They're my favorites and I lowkey ship them with everyone myself, but whatever.

OK, I’m not trying to be wanky, but I find it kind of hilarious how offended I’ve seen some people get over the fact that there are those who ship Maria with Kyle. They are mad because the two of them have not yet shared scenes so apparently it’s a bad and offensive thing to ship them.

So, while I’m not a Maria and Kyle shipper per se (though I’ve considered the possibility of a future relationship between them), I’m gonna lay a few things out.

1) First off, let us acknowledge that both the books and OG has everyone conveniently paired off. In this version, we have the two major pairings of Max/Liz and Michael/Alex. Isobel/Noah are married but still presented as a lesser couple compared to the epic drama of echo and malex. Yet even they are shown to be deeply in love with one another, and Noah is not giving up on Isobel during her current crisis.

2) Kyle and Maria are both single as a pringle. Even with Kyle’s fooling around with Liz, they’re not in love or even in like. They are friends who have fooled around.

3) While the only scene they’ve shared is the brief pilot flashback scene with Max looking through the window, it can be established that Kyle and Maria know one another and have since high school. (And if it wasn’t for Heather having prior filming obligations, she would have been in HS scenes with Liz and Kyle, it’s very likely.)

4) Kyle and Maria have some similarities. They’re both trustworthy. They’re both smart. They’re both loyal friends. They’re both funny and kind of sassy. Neither are afraid to tell it like it is.

5) Yet their differences make for some fun potential and an interesting balance. Kyle- man of science. Maria- woman of faith. He’s a doctor. She’s a bar owner and psychic. He was a quarterback douche in HS, she was a hippie protester. There could be a fun dynamic.

6) People can ship whatever. And nothing against crackships, but it’s not even as though Kyle and Maria are one though some like to act that way. The two have some sort of established relationship even if we haven’t seen it on screen yet. And even if it’s in the past. You can’t use the argument of them not having scenes (even if they really haven’t run into each other in town in the last 10 years which is highly unlikely). Because Max and Liz didn’t see each other for 10 years either. And no one doubts that they have an established relationship of some sort.

7) Those those same people that I’ve seen complaining about shipping Maria with Kyle seem to think that shipping Maria with Michael is much better. Since they’ve shared two whole scenes together. And Michael is in love with Maria’s best friend (and him with Michael) and this has been the case for the past ten years. Like you can’t make this up. 🤣 But hey. That’s also perfectly fine. I mean why not? Just don’t act like you’re somehow above Maria and Kyle shippers or that your reasons for shipping M&M are more valid.
