Ketheric was going to be recruitable???
Yep. He was intended to be a companion, here's the article: https://www.ign.com/articles/baldurs-gate-3-director-reveals-one-surprising-villain-that-used-to-be-playable
Ngl I'm just beyond disappointed that anyone in that dev team thought cutting this was a good idea. Especially when we know they went out of their way to add in a someone who wasn't put in this game as a companion and wasn't intended to be one initially, while Ketheric was, even more so because of how half baked it was. I'm baffled and gutted that this was worth keeping to them, while Ketheric, who is far more plot significant, was not.
You can still play up to getting to persuade him which was where he was meant to join you and idk why the fuck they left that in then.
I honestly wish they would stop fucking talking about what they cut now that they've abandoned the game.

Rising Star
Main Page
Hello and Merry Christmas dear readers. I apologize for the late update, and hope that you’re still enjoying this tale, as well as that you are having a warm and safe one. I fear I was rather ill and drained of energy for this week, and couldn’t update this on time. Last week we found something waiting in the water, and that they need to do something about that. You voted for Star’s solution, and there was a three way tie between:
1 - Drain the lake 2 - Get more people 4 - Drink the magic lake water
As with all such ties, there is only one fair way to resolve this. Rolling 1d4 - rerolling 3s, the winner is Drinking the magic lake water. Let’s see where this goes.
Well it looked as though the creature was drawing something to it in the vision, and they needed to get it out of the water. However, to do that, they needed to be stronger than they collectively were. Which meant taking risks.
The thought of draining the lake was tempting, however that would likely wash Castledale off the mountainside, even if they could somehow get the water flowing out of the lake and down. Which would be a lot easier with magic.
As far as she knew there was no magic to be found in the world, yet the creature had to be feeding on something this high up. It was possible that this was the lake from the start of magic, and could contain endless amounts of magic in its depths, which would explain the creature.
If it was feeding on the raw magic, and only that, it was possible the magic was corrupting and twisting whatever it once was into the monstrosity that she saw in the visions. So she had a theory that should possibly work.
If she could take some of the magic from the water, and into herself, then she’d be more able to fight the creature with the others. Right?
The simplest and most direct route would be to take a cup and drink water from the lake. Which was probably a mistake, but at least they could do something else if that doesn’t work. So grabbing a bowl from the travel kit, they gathered water, and…
Okay, so the glowing water in the bowl was either a sign of them being on the right track, or it was a sign that this was a bad idea. Deciding to go ahead, Star took a deep breath and began drinking. Several gulps in, she felt an energy coursing through her body. Once she finished the first bowl, she panted as the energy and warmth continued growing and building in her as she saw motes of light building up over the surface of the water. “Are you seeing anything over there?” Star asked, getting a negative sound from the others, before the lights paused and zoomed in towards her faster than she could blink.
Feeling herself washed away by a tidal surge of some unspecific power, she closed her eyes and clenched her stomach to hold it in. It was growing and building, at the same time familiar and unfamiliar.
Feeling her body reaching its limits, she arched back and felt her mouth open to scream, and nothing came out.
When she opened her eyes, she found a void around her, and heard a voice speak to her.

The fevers needs a new coaching staff asap, there is something seriously wrong and it’s not the players, also the fact that none of the players attempts to shoot the 3s is weird to me even AB is not doing it, or with the new money they are getting with ads and having high audience they should scout free agents or so
i see this a lot so i’m just letting y’all know; it’s not the suns or the fevers
it’s the connecticut sun and the indiana fever like it’s singular 😭😭 all love tho
nah indiana seriously needs to clean out and restaff bc this many losing seasons with this many top picks is just ridiculous
obv we’ll wait for it to play out… but from watching kristy wallace airmail a 3 today (like not even CLOSE) idt the 3 ball is the solution
nah but real talk… why the FUCK would aliyah boston’s tim duncan ass be shooting 3s bro that is the postest of post players like if aliyah’s not shooting 3s it’s because she should NOT be shooting 3s 😭😭😭
a 3 from AB is not solving the fever’s problems i can promise you that
i don’t even think they need free agency like they have solid pieces sides just got no clue what to do with them

finished turnabout serenade this week. i have to say, i know this case isn't particularly popular so i was expecting something dire, and case 3 is always the weakest of the lot anyway. but tbh it was probably better than most case 3s and also every case in aai1, so i enjoyed it
no spoilers for whatever comes next plz
more thoughts:
FIRST UP ... did i understand correctly that the magic trick solution was that the lamiroir on stage at the start of the performance was in fact valant in drag ??!?!??!?!?!! i feel we skipped over that way too quickly! i watched that VHS fifteen million times against my will and his contour game is unmatched. perfect replica. fey level shapeshifting. magic is real
"the window was closed" made me insane why didn't they just make it a window that can't open 😭
why'd they make daryan look like that lmao. what was the theming. why the phallic skunk hair with a shark hoodie. what is this telling me
how many other band members are in the gavinners. are they in the audience like uhh... soooo... about the tour...
one upside to having played aai1 first was borginia was already a known entity to me and for some reason that made all of this much funnier. where's cammy meele we have some wingdings to translate.
boriginia, an idyllic eastern bloc paradise with an isolationist culture that hoards magic cocooons on penalty of death because, apparently, poison is more valuable than a magic cure and is definitely not something you could get from any undergrad at ivy u's pharmacology dept ...?????!... desperate to know the state of geopolitical affairs in this world. tell me everything
business as usual for ace attorney but it had me on the floor how both lamiroir and machi lied nonstop about everything lmfaoo ofhgklhg. she in particular has such a sad downfacing woe-is-me face every time she's like "you don't believe me? just because of all the lies? 😞 i didn't mention i was in the ceiling because it seemed irrelevant" ok girl put that sad sprite away
kristoph and nick, alita and wocky, daryan and klavier... apollo's 3 for 3 on court breakups so far
very bold of japanifornia to be horrified by borginia's death penalty smuggling policy, like they weren't ready to hang a 9 year old for an accidental discharge
it's interesting to see this game tackle "hey this system we have sucks huh". yeah dudes that was pretty obvious back in like. 1-1. wasn't expecting us to confront it lol. i don't... really know how i feel about it, tbd. I mean, of course the system sucks, their system is insane lmao, but the gameplay hinges on it. also lmao @ the judge like "wow i never thought about it before"

rn attempts to use AI in anime have mostly been generating backgrounds in a short film by Wit, and the results were pretty awful. garbage in garbage out though. the question is whether the tech can be made useful - keeping interesting artistic decisions in the hands of humans and automating the tedious parts, and giving enough artistic control to achieve a coherent direction and clean up the jank.
for example, if someone figured out how to make a really good AI inbetweener, with consistent volumes and artist control over spacing, that would be huge. inbetweening is the part of 2D animation that nobody especially wants to do if they can help it; it's relatively mindless application of principle, artistic decisions are limited (I recall Felix Colgrave saying something very witty to this effect but I don't have it to hand). but it's also really important to do well - a huge part of KyoAni's magic recipe is valuing inbetweeners and treating it as a respectable permanent position instead of a training position. good inbetweening means good movement. but everywhere outside KyoAni, it mostly gets outsourced to the bottom of the chain, mainly internationally to South Korea and the Philippines. in some anime studios it's been explicitly treated as a training position and they charge for the use of a desk if you take too long to graduate to a key animator.
some studios like Science Saru have been using vector animation in Flash to enable automated inbetweening. the results have a very distinct look - they got a lot better at it over time but it can feel quite uncanny. Blender Grease Pencil, which is also vector software, also gives you automated inbetweening, though it's rather fiddly to set up since it requires the two drawings to have the same stroke count and order, so it's best used if you've sculpted the lines rather than redrawn them.
however, most animators prefer to work in raster rather than vector, which is harder to inbetween automatically.
AI video interpolation tools also exist, though they draw a lot of ire from animators who see those '60fps anime' videos which completely shit all over the timing and spacing and ruin the feeling and weight of the animation, lack any understanding of animating on 2s/3s/4s in the source, and often create ugly incomprehensible mushy inbetweens which only work at all because they're on screen so briefly.
a better approach would be to create inbetweens earlier in the pipeline when the drawings are clean and the AI doesn't have to try to replicate compositing and photography. in theory this is a well posed problem for training a neural network, you could give it lots of examples of key drawing input and inbetween output. probably you'd need some way to inform the AI about matching features of the drawing, the way that key animators will often put a number on each lock of hair to help the inbetweener keep track of which way it's going. you'd also need a way to communicate arcs and spacing. but that all sounds pretty solvable.
this would not be good news for job security at outsourcing studios, obviously - these aren't particularly good jobs with poor pay and extreme hours, but they do keep a bunch of people housed and fed, people who are essential to anime yet already treated as disposable footnotes by the industry. it also would be another nail in the coffin of inbetweening's traditional role as a school of animation drawing skills for future key animators. on the other hand, it would be incredible news for bedroom animators, allowing much larger and more ambitious independent traditional animation - as long as the cheap compute still exists. hard to say how things would fall in the long run. ultimately the only solution is to break copies-of-art as a commodity and find another way to divert a proportion of the social surplus to artistic expression.
i feel like this kind of tool will exist sooner or later. not looking forward to the discourse bomb when the first real AI-assisted anime drops lmao

The WNBA is three years shy of 30 years old! She’s a 27 year old woman! The league is almost 3 decades old and garnered fans and support on the women’s talent, skills and gifts and their love and our love of the game and that’s what keeps us here! The W earned every single fan since 97, period!
And that’s with or without dunking!
Shaq, you told on yourself my boy! If Caitlin Clark is his bench marker for logo 3s….he literally JUST started watching this year because Diana Taurasi been knocking down logo 3s and that woman is a vet-vet. Maya Moore was hitting logo 3s! Arike Ogunbowale does it with ease. Kelsey Plum too. Sabrina Ionescu been doing this since she came to the W. Sooo sooo many ladies are pioneers of that!
Like just go to bed, Shaquille! Can barely make out a word that man was saying anyway. Just be honest in your support. Just say, “I only began watching this year” or “I just fully paid attention in 2024”. But stop downplaying and projecting your non-support out of your personal context.
And yet again, the sexism just can’t ever NOT seep out, huh? No matter what the ladies do, it won’t ever be enough for most male viewers like Shaq. The fact that aesthetics was even part of his conversation at all w/ basketball let’s us know how archaic and sexist he is. Basketball, looks and clothes. Which of these don’t belong? Shaq, please sir hush. He doesn’t respect the league and doesn’t respect the women and with all that he said (being real and being real subjective), does he even respect his relative, Angel? Sat across from her on her own platform and said all that trash. Some men have really just inserted themselves in a very unpleasant way. Just superficial and unintelligent, irrelevant points. These shallow qualifiers men have set for women are unmatchable, un-pleaseable. Not a thing sports-related at all half the time.
And no, the solution ain’t lowering the rim. How long is that gonna be the go-to fake solver of viewership? The ladies have said they don’t want to have the rim lowered because of muscle memory w/ the height it’s at now! And besides, lowering the rim won’t make for more dunks for the ladies!
And not to get all detailed and all that but I don’t know if some men have to be reminded but the physical makeup of women and men is very different. There are bodily parts between women and men that move about extremely differently during exertion. Naturally, women’s bodies have very unique attributes that men don’t have to be able to possibly do a very amazing thing (of bringing forth life) and that alone makes for how the body differs in physiology and how the bodies function and move because of that. What women’s bodies go through monthly is very different from men. With all that in mind, if anyone thinks a lowered rim will make for more dunks from the ladies, then just don’t watch. The ladies don’t need dunks to win and play a sport they love and entertain us! I don’t even think they want to be dunking all the time like that anyway.
FAIR SHARE of revenue is what they’re asking for. None of them is asking to match NBA salary but they just want to receive the same share percentage as their male counterparts. Even with that said and in response to a part of Shaq’s interview, NBA benchwarmers who never get a lick of minutes still make more than WNBA starters most of the time.
And besides, just stop comparing the two leagues. One is a whole great grandfather with great-great grandkids while the other is just getting around to her late 20s. However, the league has gone thru highs and lows just as the NBA has. Viewership hasn’t always been a steady high nor have sales and attendance every single season for the NBA and it’s been around for just about 100 years almost. Allow the W to also go through its wins, loses and gains. Viewership and sales and attendance and online engagement has been on the up and up for the last 5 seasons for the W. It’s way too much non-objectivity when men start speaking on the WNBA.
And didn’t we tell y’all to wrap up all these stale, tired and through non-narratives as soon as the Finals were complete?! Lower the rim and the recycled and regurgitated Clark stuff. It’s old! All the rookies of 2024 are sophomores now. Quit it.
(this isn’t fully fleshed out as I’d like but I typed as it was coming)

The Fathers of Fallout
a out of sync post/showcase special
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey guys, how's it going, today's the day I actually start using Tumblr as I initially intended to.
So over the amount of time, I just had a bunch of characters that I've been sitting on from time after time. And I did try to present them into a handful of various other outlets, however, I always felt like that wasn't enough. Until I came to the realization that the best solution, has always been the simplest ones.
So that's what we'll be doing today.
Today's a showcase that's going to be one part of a bigger whole coming in at a later date. And for good reason. The main crew is coming in soon... after introducing everyone to their parents. So for this half, not only am I presenting their fathers first, but a side by side study I did where I made them and their "younger" iterations that served as practice for the full painting that'll be set into place soon.
I won't have time to explain them one at a time at least right now, but it'll be after every face is shown. I got super proud of it and wanted it to share it with everyone while jumpstarting a lock-in session today.
And since I'm here and this is like the 2/3s way point, I can give you a little BTS on a few things, mainly regarding why I'm calling these "out of sync." These were originally planned for the respected holidays of Mother's and Father's day... like about last year.
Waiting it out would've been nice, until I realized that I sat on this for way too long. And since I've overhauled and locked in on this, torturing people to wait it out until those days arrive did not appeal at that time.
But yea, that was about it for the second half. Seeya on the finals.

Foods that Reduce the Risk of Breast Cancer
Tumblr media
There are many fruits and vegetables that contain antioxidants, which combat cancer cells in your body and reduce the risk of breast cancer. Apart from non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women of all races. It has a lifetime risk of 1 in 26 in South Africa, according to the 2022 National Cancer Registry (NCR).
Foods such as leafy green vegetables, cruciferous vegetables, citrus fruits, fatty fish, and beans are all made up of compounds. Compounds that exhibit qualities that reduce the risk of breast cancer. We will list specific foods from the categories above that have been proven to reduce the risk of breast cancer. While referencing both completed research and ongoing research.
Vegetables That Fight Cancer:
Leafy green vegetables such as kale, arugula, spinach, mustard greens, and chard contain carotenoid antioxidants, including beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. These antioxidants have been researched and have concluded that they are linked to an 18–28% reduced risk of breast cancer. Cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, and broccoli contain glucosinolate compounds. These help your body to convert the nutrients into molecules called isothiocyanates that combat cancer cells.
Fruits That Prevent Cancer:
Citrus fruits and their peels are filled with all the good compounds that may protect against breast cancer. These include folate, vitamin C, beta-cryptoxanthin and beta-carotene, flavonoid antioxidants, hesperetin, and naringenin. These are all antioxidants, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory effects, ultimately reducing breast cancer risk by 10%. Fruits and berries protect against cellular damage and the development and spread of cancer cells. In 2013 it was discovered that women who consumed at least two servings of peaches each week had up to a 41% reduced risk of developing estrogen receptor-negative breast cancer.
The Good Protein:
Protein is a challenging topic to link to reducing the risk of any cancer due to the amount of processed meats in the everyday store, however, there are proteins that have contributed to reducing the risk of breast cancer. Fatty fish, including salmon, sardines, and mackerel, are known for their impressive health benefits such as omega-3, selenium and antioxidants. Researchers found that those with the highest intake of seafood sources of omega-3s had up to a 14% reduced risk of breast cancer. Beans are loaded with fibre, vitamins, and minerals that were found to reduce the risk of breast cancer by up to 20%.
Intaking your antioxidants:
Not everyone has time to manage their antioxidant intake or manage their eating habits at all. We have the solution; The DNA Slow Juicer for your leafy greens and the DNA Cold Flow Juicer. These appliances are capable of quick, high-nutrient-packed juice for you to consume from the comfort of your own home. Just simply pack your prepared ingredients of choice into the hopper and relax while it does all the work. Unsure about recipes for juicing? We have a blog post dedicated to different recipes for cancer prevention.
Closing food for thought:
Following a nutritious diet rich in foods like leafy greens, citrus fruits, and fatty fish may help reduce breast cancer risk. It may be equally important to limit or avoid items like alcohol, highly processed meats, and sugary foods and beverages.
Keep in mind that regular medical appointments and breast cancer screenings are critical for early detection and diagnosis. Early detection can lead to effective treatment and a positive prognosis. When breast cancer is detected at an early stage, about 90% of patients survive for many years after diagnosis.

2008 - 2020+
(~1,700 words, 8 minutes)
A summary of events and my ideological development from 2008-2020; most of this will be familiar to long-time readers; this post is mostly for later review in 5-10 years.
[ @lokifreign ]
did it seem sudden in 08?
[ mitigatedchaos ]
10 years ago was 2013. By 2013, the direction of the eventual [identitarian] shift was visible, but it wasn't established that "real" "serious" liberals were going to go along with and indulge it.
[ @lokifreign ]
I had a different view (I'm 51; Clinton cleared up any lingering misunderstandings I entertained about dem/lib); it's interesting - I'd love to read something clear about that time period from that perspective. 08 for me was more about the death of the free internet, but I'd be really interested at seeing that realization from the inside somewhat namean. thanks fr sharin'! 🫀👍 [...] never mind! ^_^ all set
So to clear this up for anyone else...
2000-2008
From the perspective of someone who grew up in the 00's, the Republican Party put a tremendous amount of political investment into the Iraq War, which turned out to be a disaster. The only WMDs were leftover chemical shells, not exactly a "clear and present danger;" I'm not aware of any of them being used in terrorist attacks.
2008-2012
So going into 2008, Republicans looked epistemically bankrupt. The War probably cost them an entire generation. It was such a colossal fuck-up that one of the early MitigatedChaos essays, back in 2017, was "A Price Paid in National Will," arguing that patriotism is an exhaustible resource. It is basically screaming at the 00's US establishment right for squandering a valuable and precious resource with their dumb war. [1] As it happens, military recruitment is way down.
By contrast, the first-term Obama-era Democratic coalition offered us people like Roland Fryer, a pragmatic-minded black academic who was willing to reach counterintuitive conclusions or try things like just paying students to see if that worked. Combined with things like the lead-crime hypothesis or support for early childhood education, the epistemic grounding was a lot better than what they offered after 2016.
The public position of the Democratic Party 2008-2012 was largely meritocratic colorblind liberal individualism, combined with moderate immigration restrictionism, with only a modest exception for Affirmative Action in universities. They were still pro free speech, valued professionalism, and valued things like consumer rights, and mostly weren't against patriotism.
This was an extremely well-hedged set of positions, adequately handling risks from multiple directions at once - and the follower libs (the "Stage 3s" as post-rationalists would call them) echoed all of it, causing the overall Democratic coalition to seem much, much smarter than they actually are.
Even electing a black President seemed a decent bet, and if there is one thing Obama is really good at, it's projecting a Presidential image.
If you combine this with Transhumanism and an expectation that significant new technologies will overcome long-standing issues in the case that social solutions don't work, kicking in around 2040-2050, as most Rationalists probably would have expected at that time, it covers most of the bases. Get some potential gains from social policy, stalling for time for a few decades, and then if any problems are leftover, mop them up with biotech.
I was also engaged in a phase of gender exploration from around 2009-2012 (in cyberspace). I encountered some of the current gender ideas early. At the time, because they weren't as popular, there was a stronger selection effect.
2013-2017
From around 2012-2013 onwards, we started getting the articles about "manspreading," and "mansplaining," combined with a frame that it was prohibited for men to question this because of "male privilege" including subconscious bias which, by definition, they could not be aware of.
I actually checked in on a Mens Rights forum around this time, and a GamerGate forum later, and contrasted what I actually saw with both media coverage and left/lib representations which were... basically almost all completely different from my direct observations.
I was very doubtful because the epistemic norms of the movement were just awful, and very obviously designed in a way that was prone to abuse.
From around 2014 onwards, those same norms were shifting to the much more dangerous field of race. Obama didn't campaign on it, and more "serious" Democrats instead of like, Gawker, were more focused on things like "Republican obstruction in Congress."
By late 2014 or early 2015, I had given up on defending the Obama Administration in arguments, which I'd been doing since around 2008.
From 2013-2015, I was feeling depressed and anxious. Without realizing what I was doing at first, I began an exercise to rework the basis of my politics by working on a fictional country, rewriting it again and again and again.
The development of some kinds of political writers may require something like this, either working from a distant time, like Moldbug, or trying to work out a simulation of a country repeatedly and gaming things out with others, as Scott Alexander and I both did. This allows something that I call Ideological Stereoscopic Vision - viewing the same issue from two ideological perspectives simultaneously. With this, it's possible to see the functional mechanics of your original ideology, which otherwise just appear to be truths.
I was going leave the Presidential box blank in the 2016 election, but voted for Clinton as a personal favor for a dear friend.
Overall my basic model from 2012 wasn't that bad. I hadn't called to deplatform all the Republicans, for instance, and once Trump won the primary, based on the uncertainty I concluded that it was possible he would win the general election.
However, I had to build a much more sophisticated model to explain the benefits of things like colorblind liberal individualism, and explain why it was being attacked, and how. Until 2014, I hadn't considered it something that even could come under serious attack, since influential people should know better than to let that happen.
2017-2020
Around 2017, I opened the blog MitigatedChaos.
In 2018, Roland Fryer was #metoo'd. An investigation mostly cleared him except to require workplace sensitivity training (proportional, IMO). However, the investigation was apparently overruled by a secret committee, and in 2019 he was suspended for 2 years without pay.
In 2018, Robin DiAngelo's "White Fragility" was published. This was followed in 2019 by Ibram Kendi's best-selling, pro-"corrective" discrimination, "How to Be an Anti-Racist." (At some point in 2020 or maybe 2021, the Microsoft Windows 10 login screen featured a link to "anti-racist books" with Kendi's book at the top.)
Unlike Fryer, both writers seemed uninterested in whether their proposals would actually work, as did their readers.
As someone who had voted for Obama in 2012, I was willing to elect politicians or spend money, even if that money might not necessarily work, but that was assuming those involved were actual academics making a serious attempt with some chance of success, not spiteful unqualified quacks.
Because people throughout society demanded that I take race seriously, in 2019, I conducted an investigation into school funding and whether charter schools would be capable of closing racial outcome gaps. (It's difficult to assess their effectiveness on grades due to selection effects on parents, but they're about as cost-effective as public schools, may produce a modest benefit, and allow parents to at least provide a safe environment for their children. The few online charter schools in my sample had dismal results.)
That was when I learned that the social interventions camp were 90% bluffing, hadn't checked the research, and the amount of good faith I had been giving them since 2014 was unjustified. Each of them assumed that someone else had been doing the actual work (not "doing the work" of reading about bad things that happened to racial groups, but the work of figuring out how to solve things).
That was mostly true in 2010. It certainly wasn't by 2018 - or at least the links between the people doing the work and the actual movement were well broken by that time. The implicit claims of what Social Justice can deliver, and the urgency with which they make their demands, have been wildly disproportionate the entire time.
Going into 2020, I still had hope that serious liberals might be in charge somewhere. But instead of actual reforms which might be useful, we got "Defund the Police," which as the CHAZ and subsequent national stats have demonstrated, is delusional.
After 2020
When it turned out that Biden is just lame, and the great racial awakening wasn't as promised, some of the air went out of it. Biden had the opportunity to end the thing in one swoop by just leaving Trump's executive order in place, but instead confirmed that the Democratic Party is committed to this program of crank race dogma, and in the institutions the supporters are digging trenches.
Mainstream Republicans are aware of the problem and acting now, so what was a rout has stabilized into a war front. The primary mission of the right-wing ideological vanguard from 2017-2022, waking the Republicans up to the scale of the problem, and punching through the window of social acceptability hard enough to get them moving, is now complete. As a vital or artistic movement, they no longer have the same margin of information advantage, and energy is leaving the scene.
Sometime after 2020, I developed the coalitional interest deadlock theory to explain some of what had happened - why did the Democrats double down on such a hateful strategy that's obviously bad for the country? Why not just stick with their epistemically-advantaged position from 2012? One possible answer: because each of their coalition members inhibits any other coalition member's attempts to fix anything, so the only thing to do is find an outgroup to blame and hope no one notices, as no one is willing to negotiate a settlement to free up resources for improvement.
They have little to offer but decline and hatred, for now. Maybe in 10 years, they'll be as different as the 2020 Republicans are from 2000's.
---
[1] A left-anarchist view here would be that such sentiments will always be exploited for wasteful wars of imperialism that enrich a small and well-connected group at the top; there is something to such a view, but the actual 21st-century US wars, and their duration, also seem to have been caused by ideological derangement.

This Deep Sea Hearing Formula Supports The Health Of Your Ears
Tumblr media
Introduction
The human ear, with its delicate and intricate structure, is a marvel of natural engineering. Yet, this complex organ is vulnerable to a range of ailments that can compromise its function. As people age, hearing loss becomes increasingly common, leading to a diminished quality of life. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in natural remedies that support ear health, particularly those derived from the deep sea. This shift towards marine-based solutions reflects a broader trend in health and wellness, where individuals are seeking safer, more holistic approaches to maintaining their well-being.
Understanding Hearing Loss
Hearing loss can be attributed to various causes, including prolonged exposure to loud noises, infections, genetic factors, and the natural aging process. The impact of hearing decline extends beyond the mere inability to hear; it affects communication, social interactions, and even mental health. Conventional treatments for hearing loss, such as hearing aids and surgeries, while effective, come with their own set of limitations and risks. This has led many to explore alternative treatments, such as supplements designed to bolster ear health from within.
The Science Behind Hearing Support
The ear is composed of three primary parts: the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. Each section plays a critical role in the process of hearing. Over time, factors such as reduced blood flow, inflammation, and oxidative stress can lead to the deterioration of auditory cells, resulting in hearing loss. Understanding these mechanisms is crucial for developing effective treatments that can slow or even reverse hearing decline.
The Promise of Deep Sea Ingredients
Marine environments, particularly the deep sea, are rich in bioactive compounds that have been used for centuries in traditional medicine. The unique conditions of the deep sea—such as extreme pressure, low temperatures, and minimal light—foster the development of robust, nutrient-dense organisms. These organisms possess remarkable properties that can be harnessed to support human health, including the health of the ears.
Key Ingredients in Deep Sea Hearing Formulas
One of the most potent ingredients found in deep sea hearing formulas is Omega-3 fatty acids. These essential fats are known for their anti-inflammatory properties and are crucial for maintaining the health of cell membranes, including those in the auditory system. Another powerful component is Astaxanthin, a red pigment found in certain marine algae and seafood. It is one of nature’s most potent antioxidants, capable of protecting auditory cells from oxidative damage. Marine collagen, derived from fish, plays a key role in strengthening the structural integrity of the ear’s connective tissues. Seaweed extracts, rich in vitamins, minerals, and other bioactive compounds, offer additional support by nourishing the auditory system.
How These Ingredients Support Ear Health
The benefits of these deep sea ingredients extend beyond basic nutrition. Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation in the ear, which is a common contributor to hearing loss. Improved blood flow to the auditory cells ensures that they receive the necessary nutrients and oxygen to function optimally. Antioxidants like Astaxanthin protect these cells from the harmful effects of free radicals, while marine collagen helps maintain the ear’s structural integrity, reducing the risk of age-related damage.
Research and Clinical Studies
Numerous studies have explored the effects of marine-based ingredients on ear health. Research indicates that individuals who regularly consume Omega-3s have a lower risk of hearing loss. Clinical trials have shown that Astaxanthin can significantly reduce oxidative stress in auditory cells, leading to improved hearing outcomes. Case studies from users of deep sea hearing formulas further corroborate these findings, with many reporting noticeable improvements in their hearing ability.

Comparing Deep Sea Formulas with Conventional Supplements
One of the advantages of deep sea hearing formulas is their high potency and bioavailability. The nutrients derived from marine sources are often more easily absorbed by the body compared to their synthetic counterparts. Additionally, these formulas are typically free from synthetic additives, making them a safer option for long-term use.
How to Incorporate Deep Sea Hearing Formulas into Your Routine
To reap the full benefits of deep sea hearing formulas, it is important to follow the recommended dosage and timing. Most experts suggest taking these supplements with meals to enhance absorption. Pairing them with a balanced diet that includes plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins can further optimize their effects on ear health.
Potential Side Effects and Precautions
While deep sea hearing formulas are generally safe, certain individuals should exercise caution. Those with allergies to seafood or certain marine-derived ingredients should avoid these supplements. It is also important to consult with a healthcare provider if you are taking other medications, as there may be potential interactions.
Choosing the Right Deep Sea Hearing Formula
When selecting a deep sea hearing formula, look for products that are sustainably sourced and have been tested for purity and potency. Reputable brands often provide detailed information about their sourcing and manufacturing processes, which can help you make an informed decision.
Frequently Asked Questions
One common question is how long it takes to notice results. While individual experiences vary, many users report improvements within a few weeks of consistent use. Another question is whether these formulas can prevent hearing loss. While they cannot reverse existing damage, they can help slow the progression and support overall ear health. As for long-term use, these formulas are generally safe, provided they are taken as directed.
Testimonials and Success Stories
Users of deep sea hearing formulas often share transformative stories of how these products have improved their hearing and overall quality of life. From regaining the ability to enjoy conversations to experiencing less ringing in the ears, the positive feedback is both inspiring and encouraging.
The Future of Hearing Health
As research into marine-based remedies continues to evolve, we can expect to see even more innovative solutions for hearing health. The potential for these natural compounds to not only support ear health but also address other aspects of wellness is vast, making them a promising area of study.
Conclusion
In summary, deep sea hearing formulas offer a powerful, natural way to support ear health. By incorporating these marine-based ingredients into your daily routine, you can take proactive steps to maintain your hearing and overall well-being. The journey to better ear health starts with informed choices and a commitment to taking care of one of your most vital senses.

Transcription of Tural Travelogue, pt. 2: Ok'hanu
(Dawntrail All Quests Spoilers ahead)
[Master Post]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4A/3S - Raha asleep with Salina. Checked in on the missing artifacts. Ishgard knights embarrassed but handling the attacks well. Checking in on Rads & Limsa soon. Also working on that qualification. Clan member in Yyasolani[sic]?
--
"Justiciar" in Thavnair seems to be a clown. Apex seems to be luck-oriented? Weal/woe
--
4A/4S - Returned Napikwe's bestiary to Bol Ogaw. Took some bills but may need to hand them to another hunter for now. Not sure when I'll have time again. Not that that's a bad thing. The hunters have things well in hand on the Tural side. S9 [Solution Nine] may need check
--
Perhaps I am the clown. Nearly lost to a water monk in Kozama'uka that was surprisingly strong. Got away safely! Limsa tomorrow
--
4A/5S while turning in yesterday's bills, Bol Ogar asked for more information on the beasts within the dome. Napikwe did find data in Living Memory's banks. If the creatures appear near settlements, adventurers can handle them. Limsa soon.
--
Found Loashkana of Tural in Limsa. I should have known from the initial vision—these "villains" are all mischief and little bite, were it not for the relics. Poisoning in Limsa tied to a Lalafellin man posing as a merchant and an unknown woman. Something about puppets? Don't remember much of the vision unfortunately. Thus, a notebook. Returning home for the day.
--
6A/6S - I managed to drag Raha away from compiling reports at last. As duty-bound as he may be, the thought of seeing what he had missed in Tural swayed him. And as the areas we will travel first are populated, we felt it was safe to bring Salina. She's been fussy since the boat over, but I'm sure fresh air will help. If nothing else, the Hanu have been a great distraction for her.
We came to Ok'hanu first, as I had during the trials. Salina took to them [the Hanu] immediately. Calls them "fwee"? (Fluffy?) I'm not sure we'll be able to tear her away without a bribe, so I'm putting together a doll that looks like them. Incidentally, I was offered a demonstration of their work with the Landsguard. The L's armor is decorated with molted Hanu feathers. A soldier came to collect and process the feathers, and I commandeered some of the unusuable broken feathers and dye for Salina's doll.
The guard, Nahanshe, reminds me of some old Stone Torch recruits. Not fond of "busy work" but he's learning to appreciate the craft that goes into his armor. Spent the evening dying and oiling feathers.
An archaeologist form the Studium caught be on our way out of Tuliyolal[sic]. Dig site near Yyasolani[sic]? Will investigate when we get there. I had hoped the gleaners for Living Memory had arrived, but my request is currently in a backlog. You would think we could pull a favor but "there is a Process and it must be Followed." At least things have calmed down now. We have time.
--
4A/7S - Beautiful clear sunrise. Hands forever stained. Today we're blessing the feathers.
--
Weather changed for the worse. Clearly I'm not attuned to the wind currents here yet. Blessing also took a turn as younglings scolded Nahanshe for his griping. Smells like hazing.
Helped with repairs on village structures until the rain set it. May want to see the nearby cave at night. Kikitola—overflowing with many stars.
--
4A/8S - Headache from the weather changes. Raha is gathering fruit for an offering while I nurse willow tea. The horrors persist but so do I. Salina's doll had a nameday and he is Nunu.
--
I'm told it's the wet season and I'm inclined to believe it. By the afternoon, I felt well enough to hunt beetles for the Hanu to make brushes from their shells. I may ask to trade for one for Artemis.
--
4A/9S - Artemis is getting a good workout running errands between Ok'hanu and Kozanuakiy. I took a short detour to see the bridge near the falls that they call "Breath Between." Or maybe that's the basin. In any case, much of their fish comes from those clear waters before it picks up the forest silt. Also ran into some adventurers dealing with tegu preventing repairs to the stairs, and a hunter looking for poisonous frogs.
I ran into Nahanshe while transporting reeds. He was definitely subject to hazing of a sort. I'm reminded of Gosetsu when we met the Dotharl of the Steppe—so confused by the culture, but willing to accept and learn in the end. Nahanshe is determined to learn more of the Hanu and their relationship to the Landsguard now, which was the point of Lanuhanu's scheme. I suppose I can't question the method if it works.
Busy with repairs the rest of the day.
