for the bag, drawstring, and basic straps i used this pattern from Crochet It Creations!

i loosely referenced this pattern for the bow!

i used some old "Red Heart" brand of yarn, in the "4" weight in Blue Suede, Rose Pink, White, and i don't have the name of the Light Blue because all this yarn was second-hand. I used a crochet hook in the size G/4.25MM

the beads on the drawstring are from Hobby Lobby- they're called unicorn beads i think?

I thought the top of the bag was a little small for what i wanted, so i basically used the same inc/dec pattern, but started with 25ch instead of 11- there might be some other changes I made to the inc/dec section but i dont remember 😅

for the top and bow of the bag I used a tapestry stitch to make the color changes that i needed

for the straps i went 38 rows, then did the next row in the front loop only, i did three more (not including the front loop row) rows of white, then 2 rows of pink, 2 rows of dark blue, 3rows of light blue, on the last row i did ({ch 1, sc, [dc, ch1, dc], sc,} •2, join with sl st) for the “ribbon” ending. then i just went into the back loop of the “front loop only row” and did 16 more rows of white (not including back loop row) to get to the 55 rows the pattern said.

the ears i free handed, but i wrote it down so i will put it here lol

2: ch 1, sc across (5)

3: ch 1, inc, sc 3, inc (7)

for the inside of the ear i ch 5 and then just worked around adding inc into either end until it was a size i liked

and for the lining, I again do not know what the fabric is/where it's from bc its second-hand lol

i free-handed a pattern by tracing the size of the main bag, and then the oval that makes the base of it. i cut the oval in half and attached it to the main bag, then cut it out in a way that allowed the oval to be one full thing and the main back bits to be separate (im bad at explaining it lol)

I sewed along all the edges aside from the flat opening of the main bag, using some tactics i dont think i can describe to make it sit 3d. to attach it i turned the bag inside out and sewed down the bottom to the inside, then flipped it right side out again and sewed along the opening to the inside of the bag, below the drawstring.

i think that's everything? if you need any more explanations lmk! or if i missed something LMAO

this is the finished Sylveon bag that i crocheted for my little sibling!

This is a pattern that I wrote for the RQG charity fanzine (”We’re Still Working on the Name”). Now that sales of the zine are over, I’m releasing the pattern for free. It’s made in a slightly modified version of tapestry crochet. Pattern below the cut.

In this pattern, gauge isn’t important. The example was done using worsted weight yarn and a 5.5mm hook. This assumes some experience with tapestry crochet. The charts are worked horizontally in my example, though the motifs can be worked vertically if preferred. Chain 2at the start is not counted as a hdc

Colour changing: it is very similar to the process of swapping colours in single crochet. Yarn over, insert crochet hook into stitch below. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Now yarn over with the colour to which you are switching and pull through all three loops.

Row 1:​ Chain 35. Hdc in the third chain from the hook and each chain across. Chain 2 and turn (33 hdc in this row and every row after) Rows 2–3:​ Hdc in each stitch across. Chain 2 and turn. Row 4:​ Begin chosen motif. The motif itself is 27x27 stitches, and will have 3 stitches of just the background colour on either side of it. At the end of the row, chain 2 and turn Rows 5–30(27rows):​ Continue working motif. At the end of the row, chain 2 and turn. Rows 31–33(3rows):​ Hdc in each stitch across. Chain 2 and turn.

Repeat rows 4 to 33 with whichever motif you desire until the scarf reaches the desired length.To finish, work single crochets evenly around the perimeter of the piece. Fasten off and weave in ends.
