Quick Shot

If you've been following me for any amount of time, you'll know I love two things; Banpresto WCF figures and Freeza.

And another thing I love is toys of obscure designs. Either one-off costumes, in-between forms, variants, off-putting colorways, etc...

So combine all of those factors and you get a WCF of 3rd Form Freeza - the HR Giger inspired alien form of the Dragon Ball Z villain. Appearing in the the show and the manga for a split second, not at all toyetic, and objectively bizarre looking.

It's like catnip to me.

Exactly what you've come to expect from the WCF line. Small, beautifully sculpted, well constructed, and perfect paint applications.

No wonder it's one of my favorite toy lines of all time.

I'm hyped for this game!

(I was supposed to post this like 2 weeks ago & didn't. Gonna post it now even tho some new information has came out.)

I wanted a game where there are what-if scenarios. But my idea was that it completely altered the story. Idk if Sparking Zero will do that tho. Probably to a lesser extreme than what I thought.

WHAT IF SCENARIOS:

I made this and didn't post it. Then more info came out that kinda confirmed some of what I speculated.

But with scenarios like this??? Goku refuses help from Piccolo so Krillin follows Goku to fight Raditz (Battle of Z did that scenario too). Krillin was gonna go help Goku too even tho he knew he sould likely die. And if Goku refused Piccolo's help, of course Krillin would go help his bro save Gohan.

Krillin fought Freeza in his 1st, 2nd, & final forms. Final Form Freeza was far stronger than Krillin. Goku was closer to Freeza in strength but still weaker. Yet Krillin hung in there against Freeza & even almost killed 2nd form Freeza with a Kienzan. Goku & Krillin could realistically team-up against Raditz & win (with help from Gohan) if they outsmart him along with outmaneuvering him with their synchronized Turtle School style.

I watched Dotodoya's videos & without spoiling too much... I was right, but with extra steps. And the characters were implemented well & the dialogue was interesting.

Then, we have a scenario where Krillin dies fighting against Oozaru Vegeta (he probably saved Goku from getting crushed) which makes Goku turns Super Saiyan during the Saiyan Saga.

Is this a result of Goku not dying against Raditz because Krillin helped defeat Raditz without Goku dying? If so, this means Goku never trained with King Kai, so Goku doesn't know the Kaio-Ken nor the Genki Dama. Krillin dies helping a weaker Goku sho doesn't have King Kai's techniques, then Goku gets more than enough power to defeat Vegeta by turning Super Saiyan. So, some scenarios may actually change the story more than we think.

How would this effect the Freeza Saga? @dragon-ball-meta has a good answer.

My thoughts are that changes in one saga have to be course corrected in the next saga.

Oozaru Vegeta kills Krillin

Goku turns SSJ & defeats Vegeta

SSJ Goku spares Vegeta & mocks him by saying Vegeta lost to a low-class Saiyan (like how SSJ Goku spared then mocked Freeza for being defeated by a Saiyan)

Krillin, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, & Yamcha go train with King Kai (maybe they learn Kaio-Ken & the Genki Dama instead since Goku has SSJ)

Depending on if Piccolo survived the battle against the Saiyans, perhaps he & Gohan accompany Goku to Namek

Vegeta is on Namek too and tries to become a Super Saiyan by trying to be like Goku (and trying to be more like Goku what Vegeta does after the Cell Saga & is why Vegeta became a kinder person)

The Namekian Dragon Balls are used to wish Krillin back to life, Chaotzu back to life, then Namekian Dragon Balls become inert before they can make a 3rd wish (or Piccolo is wished back if he is dead)

Over the battles, Goku gets stronger and learns how to turn SSJ when facing Freeza instead of using Kaio-Ken & Goku believes he killed Freeza

Once back on Earth, the Dragon Balls are used to resurrect Yamcha & Tien along with those killed on the day the Saiyans attacked

Now at the start of the Cell Saga, everything is pretty much reset to how it was supposed to be, but Goku might fight Mecha Freeza & King Cold on Earth as Future Trunks watches then delivers a grave warning

This outcome may even result in Vegeta being a kinder person earlier than in canon & him teaching Trunks his new technique, then we get a Father-Son Final Flash

(The arena is still there, so maybe Vegeta takes Goku's offer to fight Cell first, then Trunks hops in to help Vegeta survive against Cell)

Goku sacrifices himself when Cell is about to self-destruct, thus the Saga ends how it did canonically & then we go into the Buu Saga. Then Goku can learn the Kaio-Ken & Genki Dama from King Kai during the 7 years between the Cell Saga & the Buu Saga

So, if there were major alterations in the Cell Saga, the Buu Saga would restore things back to "normal" depending on the altered scenarios. Or at least those are my thoughts/hopes. This game could have tons of replay value. The type of DB game that I always wanted!

CHARACTER POV:

There is also something about the story following from the pov of 8 characters.

More info came out. You can watch scenes normally or switch to watch them from the POV of the character available for the scene. We see this in a trailer when Goku is using Instant Transmission to move Cell from Earth. We also see this 1st person POV when Piccolo uses a Special Beam Cannon on Raditz & Goku.

I think it will be, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Future Trunks, Tien, Yamcha. We already saw some events from Goku's POV during the Saiyan Saga & Cell Saga.

However, there are two POVs I want to see... 👀

I'm joking lol 😅 (kinda 👀). But, I bet we could see everyone get defeated from Krillin's perspective, then when 18 kisses him.

OTHER THINGS I WONDER ABOUT & HOPE FOR:

The story for Super Hero will be fun. That will mainly be a Piccolo POV. I wonder what changes could be made too. Will there be an option to request the help of 17? What will the fight against Cell Max be like? Can you choose who to play as during the battle between Gohan & Piccolo?

And the unlockable costumes? All the different costumes from DB to DBS plus the Super Hero & Daima DLC will be so cool! I wonder if you can mix some costumes up. Like give Krillin his DBS hair while he is in his Buu Saga outfit.

I'm excited for certain team attacks too. The main one being K18's team attack they did during the Tournament of Power. And interesting enough, 18 didn't form this pink energy attack, Krillin did. So maybe he would have to be on her team for there to be this special team attack.

I hope we get other cool team attacks. Like Roshi performing a Kamehameha with his students, a 17 & Krillin team attack, Videl & Gohan, Vegeta DBS & Future Trunks DBS, Goku & Krillin spiral Kamehameha (from DBS EP 76). And I hope we get get special animations for finishers like 18 vs Giant Ribrianne.

So why not add other things from the DBS anime continuity? Most of the character designs & techniques of the characters are from the DBS anime continuity.

One stage is from the DBS anime continuity of Universe 10's Kai planet

Full Power Jiren who is shirtless aint in the manga

Kakunsa's attacks aren't in the manga, I don't recall Max Power Roshi being in the manga

SSBK isn't in the manga

Certain orb attacks that Beerus has is anime exclusive

God of Destruction Toppo is anime exclusive (I'm sure that will get a reveal too)

Bergamo & his team attack with his brothers is anime exclusive

SSJ2 Kefla's attack is anime exclusive

Spirit Sword Future Trunks is anime exclusive

The halo behind Fused Zamasu & the ki bird thing he creates is anime exclusive

Corrupted Fused Zamasu is anime exclusive

Alot of the supers and ultimate come from the DBS anime (like DBS 17's attacks).

The Gamma Burst Flash for SSB Vegeta is from the DBS manga continuity.

The very end of Krillin's Ultimate Attack is the Super Destructo Disk & to me it resembles the big Kienzan he uses against Cell Max. (This move will look so cool on Cell Max!)

I'd like to see an option to give Krillin his attacks from DBS as interchangeable supers; Solar Flare ×100 which would blind the opponent & make it so that they cannot lock on to Krillin for a few seconds even is they turn the camera to see him. An attack where he throws his stinky shoe at his opponent then blasts them with a Kamehameha. And I would really love it if they give Krillin his Non-Self State power as a power-up similar to Kaio-Ken for base Goku (early & mid), Kaio-Ken for Super Saiyan Blue Goku, & Golden Freeza powering up to True Golden Freeza. They could call it "Dormant Potential" or something & it gives Krillin a buff, a different aura, & slightly changes his combat.

So, there is a chance Krillin could get his power-up from DBS EP 76 as a sort of Kaio-Ken type of techniques. I just hope it happens since I'm a huge Krillin fan 🤞

DBS MANGA CHARACTERS:

It's probably unlikely for DBS manga exclusive characters to make the roster. Unless its a DLC then maybe we could get Moro, Merus, Gas, Granolah. Which would be the first time they make an appearance in a game. We already have Vegeta's Gamma Burst Flash from the manga's Tournament of Power Saga & Future Trunks using Solar Flare like he did in the nanga. So these characters could be on the way if they aren't on the main roster.

I doubt there will be a "True Ultra Instinct" because that is just convoluted & pointless. Probably no susanoo Ultra Instinct Goku either. If it is in the game, maybe its a DLC super move to give Goku a Giant form. Then ppl could do Susanoo Goku vs Oozaru Vegeta.

I feel like Ultra Ego could be possible IF they do a manga DLC or make a poll for characters that players want to have in the game. I personally dislike the design of UE, but that's just me. I dislike the lack of eyebrows that SSJ3 has. I like the design of Ultra Supervillain Vegeta from Xenoverse 2 better than Ultra Ego. Anyway, what would Ultra Ego Vegeta's moveset be? His Ultimate would be a giant Hakai ball, a technique that is similar to super armor where getting his amplifies his strength... Stuff like that I guess. Some melee attacks from the manga as a super too.

GT & DBZ MOVIE CHARACTERS:

Idk if there will be GT & Z Movie characters this time in the base roster. But I feel like GT has to be included at some point. I just believe DBZ through DBS will be the main focus for characters & story. The Main Continuity is DB, DBZ, & DBS (and probably Daima too) while GT is a separate continuity that includes Z Movie characters. But I feel like they have to include SSJ4 Gogeta & Z Broly at some point. They are too iconic to the series and to the Budokai games.

Sorry I put so much of my thoughts all here. If I make other posts, they will remain as drafts for way too long & become pointless.

Dragon Ball Z: Abridged Episode 26 Review

Hashtag three act structure.

So, there’s this relatively important idea to storytelling in Western culture called the three act structure (inciting incident, rising action, climax), and you’re probably familiar with it, but you might not be familiar with the idea prevalent among writers that every good story is composed of three act structures nested within one another down to the moment.1 The idea that it’s necessary for a story to be good is, of course, bullshit (and hella Euro-centric), but it’s a useful method for constructing a story.

I bring all this up because the fight against Freeza can be relatively easily divided into a three act structure, and nested within the first act of the fight (which is centered around his transformations) is a solid three act structure, with his arrival in his first form being the inciting incident, his second and third forms serving as the rising action, and the final form giving the first act its climax.

That’s important to “Alien vs. Piccolo,” as Team Four Star chose to speed through Freeza’s second and third forms and begin the third act of the fight in this episode. We get to see Piccolo kick the second form’s ass, get his ass kicked by the third form, and Freeza move past that to the final form all in the span of nine minutes, and despite this, it never feels particularly rushed.

I suspect that that is due to the fact that on its own, this is a pretty boring second act. Freeza’s transformation signifies that he has more power and therefore presents more of a challenge to their characters, but the slow and drawn out nature of his transformations means that they very quickly become uninteresting, as they basically are serving to stall until the real fight can begin. “Alien” gives us both “stalling” transformations at once though, and so we get to end on the high note of Freeza being in his final form, presenting the true nature of his challenge to the heroes.

The other reason this works so well is that Team Four Star wisely strays away from the actual fight against Freeza for the majority of the episode, opting to show us only key moments of Piccolo’s confrontation with Freeza. The rest of the time is spent on Vegeta’s escape attempt and subsequent plan for self-immolation, and we get some fantastic interactions between him, Krillin, and Dende as a result.

At the end, when Team Four Star focuses back in on Freeza for the last time, it’s to give us the perfect reminder of how threatening he is, regardless of power level, as he mercilessly murders Dende, our one and only white mage.

1So, according to this theory, every shot in a film would individually contain an inciting incident, rising action, and climax, while also serving in a set of shots as one of those things, and that set of shots serves as one of those things in a scene, which serves as one of those in a sequence, which serves as one of those within an act of the film, and then the acts come together to make the film.

Vegeta: “Power levels are bulls***!”

3rd Form Freeza is heavily under appreciated. I LOVE the design of it!

There's a DB youtuber I watch sometimes but I watch him less now because he complains about things just to complain now. Sometimes he has a point, but more often now its simply nitpicking.

Like when he said in a livestream that Bulma's butt in the DBS: Super Hero trailer looked terrible and blocky.

It doesnt take a genius to understand that the "blocky" parts are rinlkes of her clothes that poke out. Her outfit is not skin tight. The youtuber was simply finding things to complain about that aren't legit.

He recently said that the name of a certain form is bad & too simplistic, but we literally have every form in DB with simplistic names.

Super Saiyan: The super form of a Saiyan. (Simplistic naming)

Super Saiyan 2 through 4: Add a number to the SSJ form. (Super simplistic naming with numerals)

1st, 2nd, 3rd form Freeza: simply numbers.

Final Form Freeza: Freeza in his final form (but its actually his true form).

Imperfect, Semi-perfect, & Perfect Cell: super simple naming that explains itself.

Super Saiyan God: a god form of Super Saiyans.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan: speaks for itself.

Super Saiyan Blue: It looks like Super Saiyan with blue hair dye.

Golden Freeza: Just as simple as Final Form Freeza, but more accurate.

Super Saiyan Rosé: Rose colored Super Saiyan

Super Saiyan Rage: A super angry Super Saiyan.

Super Saiyan Blue Evolution: the evolved form of SSB.

But, ppl suddenly have a problem with the naming of things in DBS: Super Hero?

Transformation names have ALWAYS been simplistic. Most ppl are ok with the names in DBZ only because its been established for yrs, we're used to it, and many ppl are nostalgia blind & hate anything new.

(But that doesnt mean you have to love everything new either.)

The dumbest transformation names imo are...

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (too long of a name)

Super Saiyan 4 (not really even a SSJ form)

Final Form Freeza (this is Freeza's true form, not his final form)

Super Saiyan Blue Evolution (its just Super Vegeta with darker blue hair dye)

Ultra Ego (just a lame name imo but fans like it cause its Vegeta's form)

Frieza Week Day 3: Third Form

Easily the toughest of all these sprites to make, and this arsehole is only around for like one episode. Frieza’s third form always felt pretty weird to me, he takes this hard swerve into monstrous territory and is then right back to basic humanoid anatomy. Definitely memorable though, in it’s own way.

Some days have come and gone, bruises were healed ribs are fixed back into place. Vegeta is off with Goku training themselves in the time chamber for the night, in all their forms to test themselves fully.

Bulma had asked her to house sit the entirety of Capsule Corp for the night, Carlie happily obliged since she still had her old room beside the balcony. The scientist rushed to her lab and came back up to her temporary bedroom and sat down on her bed, only to dress into a sleep shirt and pull out her bottle of whiskey, an old stache in her night stand and the new bottle of Merlot for Frieza. She ordered a hot pizza for herself and maybe Frieza if he was willing to eat. 

She had a movie ready to watch and unwind. An old classic and take on horror, Alien. A solid 3 hour long movie that she loved to watch when she was younger, one of the first movies that peaked her interest hardcore to alien races all together.

She singlehandedly carried both the pies and the wine and whiskey in her arms down the hall in the direction of the theater, which is on Friezas side of the building She felt one of the bottles slipping and started to quietly curse herself when it falls from her arms, she awaits the impending crash and liqour splattering everywhere. When it didnt she looked to her side to see a tail tip encircling the bottle.

 “Tsk. Well if that were to break that would certainly be tragic, wouldnt it, Ms. Carlie?” Frieza said standing beside her with a small smile, Carlie smiled at Frieza and laughed abit embarrassed. “Thanks, Frieza.. Want to help me eat these pizzas?”She lifted the pizza boxes and the smell wafted up to the Emperor, he hummed and held his chin between his fingers. “I am quite hungry. Pizza you say? Id love to accompany you, dear.” 

He holds the bottle and saunters beside her down the hall, tail fluttering slowly behind him, a bit of blood still on the very end of his terribly strong tail.. From his most recent murder that day. “I was actually going to watch a movie too, so hope you enjoy feeling lazy eating pizza and getting abit drunk cuz thats going to happen with me tonight” She giggled and gently nudged open the door to the large theater room. “Oh there is no issue with that, I was wondering how you were doing anyway so to spend some quality time within your company is just what i needed.”

Frieza curtly nods and places the bottle of whiskey down besides the two large pizzas with hot sauce to dunk in, Carlie lifted the bottle of merlot to Frieza and smiled. “Wanted to give this to you and we can get abit drunk together.. Except i dont know your tolerance to alcohol.” “Wuite alright, im no light weight.” “Excellent!” she claps her hands together and grabs a wine goblet and one Whiskey glass.

Frieza watches her form shuffle away, eyes raking slowly down to her pretty soft legs. Her bottom showing just slightly from the shirt raised up behind her. Frieza hums and seats himself on the extra large and extravagant couch bringing the Wine up and looking at it.. His little smirk showing in the glass bottles sheen in the movie theaters dim light. “Care to tell me what we would be watching.” She tilts her head and comes back with the glasses sitting comfy besides Freeza, the light of the theater dimmed very slowly until the only things visible were Friezas eyes and the screen turning on to suit the room. 

“This movie is one of my favorites from when i was younger. It is called Alien, plot is basically a bunch of humans awake from cryostasis and there's no reason why, and then this insectoid alien called a xenomorph makes its appearance and you'll see the rest. It's great!” “Ohohoho! How precious.. Humans having their own interpretations of Alien kind is quite amusing! Cannot wait to see what kind of monstrosity your kind has imagined.” He uses his ki to pour them both some wine and whiskey. “Hey you might like it, don't knock it till ya try it.” she giggles and clinks the drinks together and takes a sip. The movie begins and she is immediately entrenched in it like its her first time watching it.

Watching a classic with the late emperor. His arms are crossed as this large fluffy white quilt is brought up to her lap and encircles her so comfortably, her slippers fall off her feet to the floor. Frieza watches her out of the corner of his eye while she watches the screen with expectant wonder.. 

He watched her pretty gossamer locks, some that were tied up and some that were loose, falling out of her messily tied bun, down her shirt, her lightly tanned skin glistens with some nice smelling body spray, tantalizing and sweet. Like her. The fact she wasnt wearing glasses made her look more appealing and this deeply confused Frieza… His eyes snapped to the screen and he took a sip of his drink, his back curving to relax into the plush cushion. 

Friezas tail slid beneath her back, she didnt flinch, she shifted a tiny bit, maybe to make sure he was comfortable, maybe to welcome it.. He took it as the latter and proceeded to welcome the warmth of her back upon his tail. 

‘You beautiful little thing…’ he thinks crossing his ankles and watching her fill another glass full of whiskey, right as the first sight of the Xenomorph came up on screen his eyes widened and he tilted his head. 

Watching humans cower in abject horror made the emperor smile in pride of the idea that this is what humans find entertaining and terrifying..the tail around her waist slowly drags her to his side; spurts of blood and the absolute massacre that sprays forth from its victims peaks his interest. Down to the idea they grow and procreate and are fast and nimble, with predatory intent to kill and overwhelm, ambush with ease. 

The very similar comparison to his 3rd form was just the icing on the cake for the emperor that made this all the more amusing. Shes familiar with the immense amount of horror this form can bring...Maybe this was intentional.. Maybe she wanted him to see that he wasnt afraid of him, no matter what form he took. 

She had eaten almost all of this pizza along with the dip of the hot sauce that made her lips look glossy and inviting...a thought Frieza never entertained before but here he was, staring at her lips and her neck where Vegeta left a bite.

He sneers and his bright red eyes return to the screen, when she places her whiskey glass down her hand touches his thick cold tail while she puts it down the emperor cracks the goblet from the grip.. Not breaking it entirely just enough to crack it.

*Thats enough of this little game…*

This gives him an idea. One to finally act upon this beautiful little woman besides him whos blanched stark white and almost flush against the 

“"this movie is quite entertaining. Kill or be killed and absolute domination with zero regard for human life. Procreate and maim, all for the sake of their queen" Frieza muses, his arm bringing the soft white blanket into his lap and his cold strong hand finds her bare thigh, Carlie was abit tipsy but she wasnt blind... "You enjoy this bloodshed dont you, Carlie.” He lets the goblet go to float gingerly to the table infront of him and tilts her head to face him. “Frieza, what are you talking about.. Its just a movie.” He straightens his back hard and looks her square in the eye; a knowing look blooms across his minimalistic features and his red eyes dilate.

“I know what happened to you the other day. Vegeta harmed you while you were intimate, I saw your back and those horrific bruises and scratches.” Her eyes went wide and she backed her head up abit from him as he held her hand in his own. “Frieza.. Me and Vegeta are fine it was a one time thing that wont-” “And how do you know that Carlie?” “Huh?”

“Ive known Vegeta for decades. Since he was a small chimp with a dead father. I WAS basically his father figure, to hell with any of his old Saiyan counterparts. They had as little an influence as i did on him. He had a temper that could never be put out..”  He snapped, raising his voice harshly almost into her face.

 For a split second.. He felt bad for doing that.

“That Saiyan bravado is all brute force and abuse. Never anything gentle..” Carlies eyes remained wide as she slowly- like cold molasses on the brain-took everything he said in. “He would never abuse me..” She pushed his hand off her leg and his tail slunk slowly beneath the shirt to her smoothe soft belly, then to her thighs to keep her still, but not enough to harm her. “He did though..  He most certainly did though… your back had proof of it.. Why would he throw you so violently… you his little mate.. That damned ape knows nothing about delicacy… its disgusting…” 

He sneers forcing the girl to her back with little effort on his own part. Carlie started to panic... “Frieza, let me go. C'mon if i didn't trust Vegeta i wouldn't be with him, let me the heck go please.” SHe pleas and pulls against the tail as the emperor cradles her head and stares down at the little scientist, a hypnotic unblinking stare as his tail tightens around her soft midsection and her quivering legs, his tail pulsing around her body.

   “Carlie… Would I lie to you.. Vegeta’s a great danger to you, he's highly unstable and you know it.. No amount of affection or care will break that ape down to what you want.. He is a *Saiyan* careless, heartless, if you were to die he wouldn't bat a lash.. Just look at where you are.” His tail sliding between her legs to lock them together to ensure she doesn't struggle too hard. SHe was all ears as she complied and lain still turning her head to the side crying…

“He left you with me… alone.. Instead of staying he went off to probably train and..” the back of his knuckles slide down her cheek. His eyes looking longingly at the slender pretty neck and her soft plush lips back up to her eyes… 

What is going ON with him….

“Inflict more harm upon you…Possibly kill you..” He pulls away and sits up his tail uncurling quite satisfied with his claim. Hoping he made her change her mind he folded his hands in his lap. 

“You are my only friend Carlie, I'm saying this to protect you.” 

Carlie stood up and backed up staring at him. “I don't know where you get off.. Speaking to me like that.. Frieza I gotta go.. Dont fucking follow me i cant fucking think…” she slurs, turning on her heel and taking the whiskey and headed for the door.

  “Look at me.”

 She stops dead in her tracks. Frieza didn't even have to turn completely around. “That creature… the Xenomorph on the screen.. Is my 3rd form likeness..” 

3rd form… no one said anything about forms with him… “.............” She gulps and listens, letting him proceed. “This is my Final Form.. From this i can get stronger in my Golden form… one day i hope to show you its glory… But until then… know i could have killed you.. But i dont. I enjoy your company. If you choose to leave that is your choice, and i bid you a pleasant night my dear.” He raises the now full Goblet to his lips and sips.

He heard the door close and the emperor simply closed his eyes.. Her energy left the room. It was lonely. It actually *hurt* Frieza to feel her go.

"Consider this friendship squandered... i will take what i want... and what i wanted from the very beginning was you" He hissed under his breath. Continuing to watch the movie and enjoy the rest of his pizza. “I hope you have a lovely last night as Vegetas.. Because i will make you mine. Empress Carlie...you have no choice…” He muses eating a slice and licking his fingers clean. 

His tail rests in the spot where she sat. “You never really did.”

I'll say this much, Freeza cranial growths really spice up the Oozaru design (which is otherwise basically Baboon King Kong).

Yeah, it may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m very into the 3rd Form Freeza cranium. It’s a little copyright infringey, but it feels right.
