Scan-to-CAD
The iScano team was deployed to perform a 3D laser scan in upper state New York. The scope of the project was to aid in architectural renovation using as-built information generated from the point cloud. The client did not require 3D model but rather a 2D floorplan with detailed mark up. The iScano team drafted the LiDAR based drawings in order to aid in the architectural design of the building and the area around it. The building was three floors and was gutted from the inside. Using the lidar data, the team was able to clean up all of the wiring and debris while at the same time providing a clear analytical floor plan in DWG/DXF with the proper nomenclatures as per the architects request.
