As soon as a weird noise sounds outside the cottage, Wanda goes to check it out.
"Y/n." The redhead's voice comes out in a mere disbelieving whisper as she sees you standing a few steps from the door, a portal closing behind you. "You are..."
"Finally in the right universe, yes." You comment good-naturedly, a sweet smile on your lips that Wanda has missed every day since she last saw you.
Years ago, after Thanos erased half the universe, you and Wong were tasked with taking care of the Sanctum Sanctorum.
However, an instability with the portals ended up ripping you out of your reality, taking you to one you hadn't been able to get out of.
Five years later, the half that was gone was back, but you were still lost among the multiverse, searching for a way back home.
Wanda heard about this, of course. And after looking for you and finding out what had happened to her best friend, Westview was her next stop.
"How?" The redhead asks, unable to show any feeling other than shock, and you smile once again, your hands in your pockets.
"I finally made it back. All with the help of a child, can you believe it?" You ask with a low laugh, but Wanda just frowns.
From the redhead's expressions, you can tell she doesn't seem too sure about you actually being there or not, as if you were a figment of her subconscious or were going to disappear at any moment.
So you walk up to her slowly, and Wanda watches you in silence until you stop right in front of her. "As soon as I got back, I rushed over to see you."
"Why?" she asks with her eyebrows furrowed in puzzlement, but your smile remains on your lips as you answer, "I heard you were in need of help."
"I don't deserve your help," Wanda retorts, looking away from you embarrassedly, "I did it. I finally did it."
The words come out amid a bitter laugh from the redhead's mouth. But you frown in confusion, and Wanda swallows dryly before explaining, "I'm the villain now, like everyone always knew I would be."
"No." You interrupt, your tone of voice firm yet gentle. Wanda scoffs incredulously, and you take a deep breath as you take her hands in yours. "In my eyes, you're the hero. You'll always be."
"I've done a lot of bad things." The redhead says in a broken voice, her green eyes glistening with tears, and you stroke her hand with your thumbs.
"Who hasn't?" you ask softly, trying to comfort her, but the witch shakes her head vigorously. "You don't understand..."
"Yes, I do." You interrupt, and your suddenly serious expression makes Wanda frown in confusion. "Where's the book?"
"Why?" The redhead asks defensively, letting go of your hands and taking a step back. Noticing her behavior, you sigh.
"It's corrupting you." You explain, your entire stance peacemaking, but without approaching her again so as not to scare her away.
"It gets inside people's minds and plays with them, makes them do whatever it wants." You continue, studying her reactions carefully. "But you're not just anyone. You figured that out already, didn't you?"
"I hear it talking to me. About the boys..." Wanda confirms after a while, her voice breaking again making your chest ache.
"It's not real." You tell, the sweetest tone of voice you can manage. But the redhead looks away in sorrow, and you sigh softly.
"If there's any possibility, whatsoever, of you getting your children back, I'll help you." You say, honesty in your every word, and Wanda raises her eyes to yours again, watching you intently.
"But that's not happening with this book. It's just using the boys to get to you." You add as she falls silent. The redhead just stares at you, her eyes fixed on yours, glowing with a million doubts, but you hold them up.
"Let me help you, Wands." You ask softly, and your outstretched hand and sweet smile take the redhead back to the Avengers' Compound, where you trained together and you had always gone out of your way to care for her, just as she had done for you.
And maybe the warmth that has taken over the witch's heart has absolutely nothing to do with magic, but it's enough to bring her the sanity she needs to decide what she needs to do.
So Wanda holds your hand, smiling at the gentle squeeze you leave there. And, hand in hand, she guides you into the cabin.

"Do you think this place is good?" Wanda asks, pointing to the grassy area ahead, and you shift the basket you're carrying from one arm to the other.
"Any place with you is good." You answer promptly, smiling as her cheeks turn red in the same instant.
"Cheesy." The brunette scolds with a roll of her eyes. But she has a silly smile on her face as she approaches you to peck your lips, so you giggle softly.
Then you are arranging the towel and the food you brought on the floor, setting up a cozy space for a picnic, an activity that became quite frequent after you started dating.
"How's your day been so far?" You ask with genuine curiosity as you lay with your head in Wanda's lap, who wastes no time in playing with your hair affectionately.
"Alright. Besides training with Steve I haven't done much." She replies with a shrug, and you hum in understanding, closing your eyes to enjoy your girlfriend's caress on your scalp.
"What about yours?" Wanda asks, smiling at your reactions to her touch, and you sigh. "Boring, I spent all day filling out reports from my last mission with Nat."
"Fun." The brunette comments ironically, and you smile as you open your eyes. "You have no idea." You retort in the same tone, and the two of you exchange smiles before turning your gazes to the lake ahead.
"I was thinking about visiting Clint this weekend." Wanda breaks the silence after a while, and you bring your gaze back to her. "That's nice, I'm sure he'll like that." You comment, earning a smile from the brunette. "Wanna come with me?"
"Sure, I love annoying the old man." You reply good-naturedly, eliciting a brief amused laugh from your girlfriend, your heart warming at the sound.
"Not to mention that any opportunity to spend time with you will be accepted by me." You complete, a sweet tone this time, and Wanda smiles at you with rosy cheeks. "Can you sit up?"
"You wanna eat?" You ask as you do as she requested, assuming that's the reason for her words. "No." Wanda replies as you turn your body to look at her.
Surprised by the answer, you furrow your eyebrows, but Wanda has a sweet smile on her lips as she says, "I want to kiss you."
Smiling at your girlfriend's confession, you lean forward, capturing her lips on yours. The brunette, who's quick to reciprocate, brings her hands to the back of your neck, scratching your skin with her nails and making you shiver.
"I love you." Wanda says against your lips as she breaks the kiss, and her voice is so sweet and true that you can't help your heart leaping inside your chest.
"God, I love you so much." You say before leaning forward again, unable to contain your happiness inside, and the brunette giggles against your lips before wrapping her arms around your neck.
And as she matches the kiss in the same intensity, you catch yourself thinking you wouldn't mind doing just that for the rest of your life.

"Babe, come on, stop playing it!" Taylor whined, her arms crossed in an annoyed posture completely ignored by your eyes glazed over at the television screen.
"I will, love, just one more game." You reply automatically, your attention completely focused on the mission you were about to win, but the blonde huffs heavily. She's had enough.
"You've said that twenty times already." The girl argues, her arms still crossed and her eyebrows arched in a mixture of irritation and disbelief that you haven't even directed your eyes at her.
"That's not true." You retort with a grimace, but you're not sure of that. Taylor rolls her eyes. "It's been two hours."
"Well, in my defense, I have to review this game as soon as possible and I need to beat it to do so." You argue, your thumbs running at high speed through the gamepad.
"Well, if this is about work, it's past ten o'clock, you need to rest." The blonde strikes back, putting herself between you and the television, and you have no choice but to pause the game.
"What can I say? I'm a dedicated worker." You playfully justify yourself, finally looking at your annoyed girlfriend, and she shakes her head in amused disapproval.
"What about your dedication to your girlfriend position?" Taylor replies with her eyebrows raised in challenge, and an amused smile pops up on your lips. "Oh, I'm not a dedicated girlfriend?"
"Today you're not." The blonde grumbles as she makes her way to lie on your lap, and you move your hands out of the front of your body to clear the way for her.
"Is that so?" You ask, wrapping your arms around her after she finds a comfortable position. Taylor mumbles a confirmation, and you smile against your clingy girlfriend's hair.
"I'm sorry, baby, I didn't mean to neglect you." You say wholeheartedly, and the blonde snuggles her face against your neck even further.
"It's okay, I'm sure you'll come up with something to make up for it." She retorts, her voice muffled against your skin, and you giggle softly.
"Okay, how about we cuddle on the couch and watch some movies? You choose." You suggest, your fingers distractedly playing with her blonde locks. "And tomorrow we can go to the beach and watch the sunset together."
Taylor immediately raises her face to the height of yours, her eyes sparkling, and you can't help but chuckle at the adorable scene. "You like that?" You ask amused, and the blonde hums in confirmation, leaning forward and connecting her lips to yours.
"Come on, let's make some popcorn." Taylor says as the kiss ends, getting up from your lap at the same instant. You immediately miss the warmth of her body against yours, but then she's pulling you by the hand, with no time for complaints.
Not that you have any, because soon you are preparing snacks for the movie marathon, stolen kisses along the way. And you smile to yourself, feeling nothing but lucky to be dating Taylor Sloane.

It's been less than fifteen minutes since you closed the door before knocks are heard.
Opening it again, you find your neighbor on the other side, and you don't have time to ask what she was doing there, because she walks past you and into your apartment.
"Good morning, Wanda, please come in." You say wryly as you close the door. "Who were they?" The redhead ignores your question as you turn to her, arms crossed in irritation.
"Friends from college." You answer simply, sighing as you realize this is about Kate and Yelena, who had slept over at your house the night before to finish a project for one of the courses you're taking together and who left your house some time ago.
"Friends from college?" Wanda questions, stressing the first word in a tone of disbelief, and you scoff as you bring your hands to your waist. "Yeah, Wanda, I'm not allowed to have friends now?"
What you get in response is a clenching of the redhead's jaw, her eyes narrowed in your direction. You hold her gaze, and soon she's speaking again. "I didn't like how the brunette kissed your cheek when you said goodbye."
"Oh so you were watching me? That's kinda creepy." You retort with impatient humor, but Wanda is unfazed, shrugging as she says, "I just heard the noises in the hallway and went to check what it was."
"Look, this won't work if you don't tell me the truth." You say almost through clenched teeth, your irritation with the older woman growing. "Why are you here?"
"I want to know why they spent the night." She replies, sounding as annoyed as you are, and you sigh wearily. "Nothing happened, if that's what you're wondering."
To your response, Wanda lets out a low breath of relief, her shoulders slightly slumping from the relief of tension. But you smirk, deciding to play with her a little. "But it could have. I mean, they really are-"
"You'd better be careful what comes out of that pretty mouth of yours." The redhead interrupts you threateningly, stepping forward and holding your face between her hand firmly.
Aware of her dangerous eyes locked on your face and her tightly clenched jaw, you smirk - as best you can, at least, with her fingers pressing your cheeks tightly - at the reaction you drew from her.
Noticing the amusement in your expression, Wanda finally realizes what you're doing, and her insides turn in a mixture of irritation and excitement. In the next instant, her expression softens.
"Do you really think I care about these other girls you hang out with?" She says with a smug smile, releasing your cheeks. The next moment, however, her fingers begin to run slowly down your torso, and you unconsciously hold your breath.
"I know very well I'm the only one who gets you like this. Pupils dilated, completely desperate for my touch... And here's the proof." Her sentence ends with her hand invading your pajamas, running her fingers through your wet folds.
Your breath immediately gets caught in your throat at the unexpected touch, a strong knot in the pit of your stomach forming immediately. "Wanda-" You breathe out, but the redhead guides her fingertips to your entrance, immediately making you lose your train of thought.
"Too bad you don't deserve it." She says then, and at the same instant removes her hand from inside your pajamas. Leaving you hot and frustrated, blinking a few times at the suddenness of the movement. "Wanda, please."
"Begging already? How adorable." The redhead teases with a forced pout, but you're too needy to care, and Wanda watches you intently.
On any other day the redhead would ignore your request and walk away, making you wait until the evening. But not today, today she needed to teach you a lesson. So she steps forward.
"I'll show you exactly who you belong to." She says against your lips before kissing you hard, and your whole body shivers in anticipation, wishing more than anything that Wanda would claim you as hers.

"Good job, kid." Sounded Clint's proud voice, making Kate smile fulfilled.
Mentor and apprentice had been sitting on the porch for a few hours now. While most of the family was getting ready for Christmas Eve later, Clint decided to teach Kate how to prepare her own trick arrows, and the girl seemed to have a born talent for it.
"What do we do with them now?" The brunette asked, signaling with her gaze the ammunition scattered on the floor in front of the two of them.
"Keep them away from the children, that's for sure." Clint said humorously, making the girl smile. "We need to find a safe place to store them, there must be something in the barn."
Kate nods in understanding, turning her attention to carefully picking up the arrows from the ground. Meanwhile, the man stands up.
"I gotta go help Laura with the kids now, but I think Y/n is in the barn, she'll be able to help you." Clint says casually, but Kate's eyes immediately widen, her heart racing.
"Clint, wait-no, Clint, hey!" The brunette stammered the disjointed words, but if the former Avenger noticed, he didn't show it, continuing on his way into the house.
Kate didn't know what to expect when she agreed to come spend the holiday with the Bartons, but falling in love with her mentor's oldest daughter was definitely not on the list.
Well, that wasn't her fault, Kate thought to herself. You were always so sweet and kind, with your loud laughter and goofy humor. You didn't give the brunette much choice.
So Kate makes her way to the barn, every cell in her body begging her to run in the opposite direction to stop her from making a fool of herself in front of you.
"Y/n?" The brunette calls out as she enters, cursing herself for sounding so stupid, even though she only said your name. God, what was happening to her?
Before Kate can attempt to answer her own internal question, noises coming from the back of the place catch the girl's attention. Soon after, your figure coming into her field of vision makes her heart skip a beat.
"Hey, Kate! What's up?" you ask as you wipe your hands on a cloth, and Kate can't help but find the grease stain on your face adorable.
"I-er... I was looking for something to put these away." The brunette answers awkwardly, raising her hands full of arrows, and you smile. "Sure! Come with me."
And so the two of you trudge through the piles of objects stored in the barn, and while you're busy looking for something to store the arrows in, Kate is too busy admiring every detail of yours.
"Here it is." You say after a while, holding out a beat-up leather bag to her, and the brunette blinks a few times in surprise, her cheeks turning red as she wonders if she's been caught.
Anyhow, the girl mutters a thank you, and smiles in appreciation when you help her put the dozens of arrows into the bag.
"Okaaay! I'm going now, I don't want to bother you." Kate says awkwardly, slipping the strap of the bag around her shoulder, and you let out a giggle.
"You'd never bother me." You comment sincerely and all the brunette's neurons stop working at once, allowing her to just chuckle awkwardly.
"See you at dinner." That's all she can say as she walks with her back towards the door and you smile as you murmur an agreement.
Finally spinning on her heels toward the exit and out of your field of vision, Kate grimaces in annoyance, cursing herself for being a complete disaster whenever you're around.
And, returning to the house, Kate sighs, wishing for a Christmas miracle.

"Stop moving, dammit!"
"Then stop poking my eye!"
Taylor had spent the last four hours trying to convince you to be a part of the ad campaign she would've to do for one of the brands sponsoring her.
It was just a video for her Instagram, no big deal. But you were never very keen on this digital influencer life your girlfriend led. Advertising makeup didn't help.
Not that you had anything against makeup, you're just the kind that's too lazy to use it. Not to mention that your lack of artistic skills didn't encourage you to try at all.
But if there's one thing you have come to learn in the almost two years you have been dating the digital influencer, it's that no one was a match for the blonde's stubbornness and insistence.
So here you are, sitting on a stool in the bathroom while Taylor is standing in front of you, applying shadow to your eyelids. Or rather, poking at your eyes in an attempt to make you go blind.
"Okay, crybaby, you can open your eyes now." The blonde said playfully, grinning at the disgruntled grimace you made as you obeyed.
After that you continued the process in silence, Taylor applying a series of products to your face that you weren't paying attention to, too mesmerized by the beauty of her face so close to yours.
"What is it?" she asks with an amused smile, her cheeks turning rosy as she noticed the intensity of your gaze on her, and only now do you realize you were smiling silly. "You're so beautiful."
"Stop, you're disturbing the process." Taylor scolds, but she has flushed cheeks as she does so, and the way she bites her lip to contain a smile sends away all your self control.
"You won't like what I'm about to do then." You say, and get just a glimpse of the blonde frowning in confusion before you lean forward, closing what little distance there was between your faces.
Taylor gasps in surprise at the touch, and you bring your hands to her waist, pulling her against you and making her sit on your lap. When the blonde straddles your lap, matching the kiss, you feel the pit of your stomach freeze.
"Y/n, you're gonna ruin your makeup." The blonde warns as she puts some distance between your faces. But her voice comes out husky and affected as she stares at you with dilated pupils, so you can't find it in you to listen to her.
"Tell me to stop." You say instead, holding her waist firmly as you pull her toward you, projecting your hips upward at the same time.
Taylor lets out a mixed moan of surprise and pleasure at the pressure between her legs. And before you can finish smirking, the blonde is leaning towards you again, kissing you even more passionately than before.
The intense make out session ends with you two in your shared bedroom. And when the make-up she did on you really ends up ruined, neither of you mind.

It took you a while to get used to the exposure after you started dating Taylor. To this day the number of followers and people interacting with her posts scared you.
But you did eventually, thanks to the help and understanding of your loving girlfriend, always doing everything to make you feel better.
So you had no qualms when you decided to propose to her, and you laugh to this day at the blonde documenting absolutely everything on her Instagram.
And that never changed, you being a constant part of your wife's social media.
Still, there were people who refused to acknowledge your relationship. And there was nothing that made Taylor angrier than that.
"Hey, Tay, come here!" Called the voice of a girl you've met a few times at parties and events. You know she and Taylor are close because of work, but you've never had a real conversation with her.
After exchanging a look of confirmation with you, the blonde entwined her fingers with yours, pulling you toward the brunette a few steps away.
"Hi, Rachel!" Taylor greeted cheerfully before giving the other a simple hug, which the brunette returned before greeting you as well.
"Tay, I wanted to introduce you to someone." Rachel says after the greetings were exchanged, pointing to a man behind her who was watching the scene with an amused smile, and the blonde's face immediately lit up. "This is-"
"Frank Price, I know. It's an honor to meet you." Taylor interrupts the other, a grin from ear to ear as she lets go of your hand to hold the man's in a greeting.
You slightly raise your eyebrows in understanding, remembering the blonde mentioning the photographer in past conversations.
After the two exchange their greetings, Taylor returns to your side, leaning the side of her body on yours, and you smile lovingly as you wrap an arm around her waist.
Before Taylor can introduce you, Rachel does.
"And this is Y/n Y/l/n, Taylor's friend." The brunette says in a casual tone, but you notice hints of mischief in her tone that make you narrow your eyes slightly at her. Taylor's features, previously cheerful and light-hearted, are completely transformed.
"My wife and I do not appreciate it when people assume that we are straight friends." The blonde says through clenched teeth, her angry eyes fixed on the brunette's as her hand comes down to hold yours.
Frank lets out an awkward chuckle in an attempt to lighten the mood, and Rachel begins to prepare an apology. But before any words can leave the brunette's mouth, Taylor is saying goodbye briefly and pulling you away.
"Are you okay?" You ask as the blonde drags you to a spot away from the pair and closer to the center of the party, where several people are scattered about, drinking and talking.
Taylor stops suddenly, and you frown in concern as she turns to you. But the next moment her hands are on your neck, kissing you passionately, and you gasp in surprise before bringing yours to her waist.
Reluctantly, you pull away from her, smiling as the blonde follows your lips with hers. "You shouldn't care what these people think, my darling." You say softly, stroking her hips over her dress, and the blonde sighs impatiently.
"Yes I do. We have these rings on our fingers for a reason." Taylor replies, moving her hand away from your neck only to bring the ring into your field of vision before returning it to its previous position.
"You're mine. And I'm yours." She says, pressing her palms to the back of your neck lightly for emphasis. You smile softly, nodding in agreement. Taylor smiles too, but it's a mischievous smile that makes you frown slightly.
"Let's show them." She utters the idea that came to her mind, and before you can ask she's pulling you onto the dance floor.
You chuckle amused at whatever it is your wife has in mind, but then you're dancing together, your bodies so pressed against each other it's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.
So close you can hear the blonde sighing as your hands slide down her body over the loud beats of the music. So close you don't even remember why you're doing it in the first place.
But you don't really care, and the only thought that can stay in your mind is that you can't wait to get her home.

Zooey had two main conduct codes that she needed to follow in order to do her job properly.
The first, and most ethical, was to only take cases she had prior knowledge about. There was no way she'd be able to help someone whose condition she had no idea about.
The second was not to get emotionally involved with her patients. Liking someone, in whatever kind of relationship it was, meant getting hurt when things went wrong. And worse, acting more on emotion than on reason.
But then a patient came and made the blonde forget her two rules completely.
You're much younger than the patients Zooey usually accompanies. Your condition, arthritis, was one of the most severe cases, according to the doctors.
Zooey knew nothing about arthritis. But there was something about your story and the way you smiled kindly when you first met that made the blonde give in almost instantly.
So the blonde studied your case carefully, learning as much as she could about your condition to help you in the best possible way.
And a few months later, Zooey broke the second rule like she had never done before.
At one of the physical therapy sessions where you were doing better, Zooey complimented your progress, and you joked that if you got well enough you could ask her out someday.
The comment made the blonde's heart race with surprise and something else she couldn't decipher at the time. And ignoring her rosy cheeks, she said that your condition wouldn't stop you from asking her out.
So you did, and she said yes not only to that one but to all the others after.
That afternoon, Zooey took you to the lake a few miles from your house, as she did every day. The cold water there seemed to be the only thing that effectively relieved your pain, and the blonde made a point of taking you there every single day.
"You don't have to come in with me, you know." You remarked amusedly as you watched the blonde join you in the water, as you always do.
"Of course I do, what if you drown?" Zooey teased, holding her breath at the water freezing her bones.
"Just so you know, I was a pretty good swimmer as a kid." You smugly retort, and the blonde smiles amusedly as she says, "that's a long time ago, don't you think?"
"Are you calling me old?" You ask in a playful expression of offense, raising your hand to your chest but quickly turning it back under the water to ease the pain.
"Of course not!" Zooey retorts in an exaggerated defensive tone, but soon after she is smiling mischievously. "Only experienced."
You chuckle softly at the joke, shaking your head in mock disapproval, and the blonde smiles, lightly bumping her shoulder against yours.
"But you really don't have to stay here with me, you know?" You comment the next moment, concern evident in your expression at your girlfriend in that icy water.
"I know." Zooey replies softly, a loving smile on her lips. "But I'll always be by your side." She adds sweetly, and you feel compelled to lean toward her.
The blonde meets you halfway in a soft, lingering kiss. And when it's over, Zooey rests her head on your shoulder, yours resting on hers.
And enjoying each other's silent company, the two of you can't remember a time in your lives when you felt happier.

There's something complicated about your relationship with Wanda, something like a ticking time bomb.
Ever since the brunette joined the Avengers, the two of you have established a connection that's rather complicated to explain, but which was evident to everyone around you.
Still, your personalities made you fight all the time. On one hand, Wanda was closed and defensive, treating anyone who tried to approach her with hostility. On the other, your hot temper was no secret to anyone, your sharp tongue often unbridled.
And the reason behind all the arguments was always the same, although hidden and ignored by both of you with all your might. However, as said, your relationship is like a time bomb. And today, it exploded.
You found her on the roof, standing with her back against the wall, in the silence and the dark like so many other times. Your heart breaks at her cheeks stained with tears under the moonlight, and you approach the girl with slow steps.
"Are you okay?" You ask when you're close enough, and Wanda immediately looks away, briskly wiping away her tears. "I am."
"That's bullshit." You hit back immediately and the brunette scoffs, shaking her head in irritation before looking at you again. "Well, it's my bullshit, so back off."
"Are we really gonna do this again?" You sigh impatiently, your skin beginning to tingle with irritation, but Wanda crosses her arms stubbornly. "You never stay away when I tell you to, so I guess we are."
"I don't, because I know you don't mean it." You retort, feeling your voice getting altered. But you take a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "Let me be here for you."
"It's not the right time." The brunette says with clenched jaw, her eyes falling from yours, and you let out a humorless laugh. "Are you really gonna talk about timing in times like these? The world is falling apart, god knows how much longer the Avengers will last."
Wanda shifts her weight between her feet, thoughtful, but says nothing about it. You take advantage of the silence to try again, taking a step closer to her. "Let me be here for you."
"You don't want that!" The brunette strikes back angrily, rising from her leaning position against the wall, and you can't keep your blood from boiling this time.
"Don't tell me what I want or not!" you accuse, your index finger directed at her, and Wanda runs her fingers through her hair impatiently. "My god, Y/n, what do you want me to do?!"
"Get your shit together so I can love you!" Your speech echoes through the empty roof and you immediately scold yourself for your insensitivity. But the words have already been spoken, and the brunette looks at you with an expression you can't decipher, so you decide it's best to keep going.
"Wanda, I know you've been through a lot, and I'm sorry for that." You begin, a much gentler tone as you choose your words carefully. "But you're not the only one who's had a shitty life. Your past is no excuse to keep me close and push me away whenever you want."
"You love me?" is what she asks, a tone of voice fragile and uncertain, and you can't help but let out a chuckle as you nod in confirmation. "I do."
Wanda smiles at your answer, but soon her lips begin to tremble, thick tears quickly pooling at the corners of her eyes.
"I'm scared." She confesses, her voice broken by insecurity, and you take no time in moving closer to her for good, your hands cupping her cheeks gently.
"Me too. But that's no reason to give up living." You say softly, your eyes locked on hers as your thumbs wipe away the tears that have fallen.
Wanda's eyes shift between yours as she ponders your words. But you're in no hurry, offering her a warm smile as she thinks.
Eventually the brunette's eyes fall to your lips, and you hold your breath as she leans forward, mimicking her action and meeting her halfway.
Despite the saltiness of her tears, her lips are extremely sweet against yours, and you smile as you realize you've become addicted to the touch so immediately.
When the kiss ends, Wanda wraps her arms around your middle, holding you tightly as she sinks her face into your neck. In response, you wrap yours around her protectively, depositing a soft kiss on the top of her head.
"Be here for me." The brunette asks against your skin, a tone of almost pleading, and you sigh deeply, the answer on the tip of your tongue as you hold her tighter.
"I will."

"Will you calm the fuck down?! It's just Y/n, you've seen each other a bunch of times!" Yelena complains to her friend, whose leg shaking wildly nearly knocked over the blonde's drink for the third time that night.
You are a friend of Yelena's that Kate had met a few times, and all those times the brunette's heart was racing violently, the brunette's mind foggy enough to prevent her from thinking straight.
All of the brunette's encounters with you ended in disaster, with her making a fool of herself and hating herself for messing things up.
For some reason, Yelena kept creating situations for you to meet, and Kate didn't know whether she was grateful or annoyed by that.
Before the brunette can rebut her friend's previous line, your voice sounds right next to her, causing her brain to short circuit at the same instant.
"Hey, guys! What's up?" You greet as you sit down in the seat facing the two friends'. And while Yelena responds with a casual greeting, the brunette takes a much more intense route.
"Hi! Y/n! Hi! You look great! I mean, you always look great, of course! But today you are, you know, even more so." Kate bites her lower lip to stop herself from talking any further, and the "my god" Yelena muttered beside her didn't reassure her one bit.
"Thank you, Kate, that's very sweet. You look great too." You reply gently, deciding to ignore the brunette's disaster, and Kate smiles gratefully.
"Have you guys placed your orders yet?" You ask then, shifting your gaze between Kate and Yelena, and the blonde shakes her head in denial. "Not yet."
"We were waiting for you." Kate says, trying to sound casual, but then she widens her eyes, rushing to say, "Not that you made us wait, of course not! It's all right, you're right on time-"
"Here, darling, drink this." Yelena interrupts, pushing her drink in the brunette's direction. "Thanks." Kate says in a mumble, scolding herself once again as she chugs the drink.
You smile, amused by the scene, but choose not to say anything about it, and soon the three of you decide to place your orders, engaging in other conversations.
After a while - and several drinks - Kate is feeling more relaxed around you, acting and talking casually. But then Yelena's phone is ringing, and the brunette's heart begins to soar again.
"Excuse me, guys, it's Nat, I gotta pick it up." The blonde says apologetically as she gets up, and you and Kate voice your understandings before she walks away.
Alone at the table, the brunette decides the best thing to do is to stay silent, her eyes locked on her nearly empty glass. Feeling your eyes on her isn't helping however.
"So, Kate, how are you?" You break the silence after a moment, and Kate raises her eyes to yours reluctantly.
"Panicked." The brunette replies amid a nervous laugh. But then you're looking at her with a mixture of confusion and concern, and she smiles shyly before confessing, "You make me nervous."
"I noticed." You say with an amused smile. But your eyes are kind, so Kate allows herself to smile once more before looking away.
"I've also been thinking of a way to ask you out without you fainting." You confess after a few seconds of silence, and the brunette's eyes snap to yours immediately.
"You want to go out with me? Like, on a date?" She asks in disbelief, and you let out an amused chuckle as you nod. "Exactly. I hope I don't make you so nervous then."
"You certainly will." She replies with an amused roll of her eyes, and you smile, finding her adorable.
"But it's okay, I like the way you make me feel." She confesses with extremely rosy cheeks, and you smile. Before you can respond, Yelena joins you at the table again, and the subject soon changes.
After your interaction with her, however, Kate can't think about anything other than your date, nervous about the possibility of her blowing it.
But every time your gaze meets hers across the table you smile sweetly, and the brunette smiles too, a wave of relief washing over her. Everything is going to be just fine.

The perks of library nights
Wanda Maximoff x Reader

Summary: Being stuck in the library with someone you hate sounds like a recipe for disaster. Surprising you and Wanda, the outcome is much better than you might expect. [Requested]

Today's not a good day for you.
In Professor Rogers' class, the man assigned you a paper on the most specific subject possible. And after finding nothing about it on the Internet, you had to come to the campus library and look for a book like a Neanderthal.
But even the university's huge collection didn't seem to help you in your research. The only time you got anything truly useful was hours later, on one of the dusty shelves on the fourth floor.
There were very clear uses for each floor of the campus library. The first was for those who claimed to study but spent all their time chatting with their groups. The second was for those who really wanted to study, complete silence. The third floor... Well, let's just say you don't want to go there if you're not with someone.
But the fourth floor was the one where nobody went, constantly empty and abandoned by the library visitors. There were the books that were older and less sought after. And, of course, what you're looking for was right there.
As you were choosing which book seemed most useful to you, the sound of footsteps broke the monotonous silence of the floor and, with the curiosity, your gaze sought out the owner of the sound.
As soon as your eyes landed on the figure in the hallway opposite you, they immediately rolled back. The girl, who had also seen you there, grimaced before going her own way.
You and Wanda Maximoff have a rather intense history for people who hardly ever speak to each other.
It all began in elementary school, where you were inseparable best friends. With the passing of the years and the arrival of high school, however, everything changed completely, and what was once an intense friendship has turned into a fierce enmity.
Neither of you knows exactly how it happened. But now, attending the same college, neither of you seemed willing to do anything about it.
So your interactions with the brunette amounted to this: occasional exchanges of disgruntled glances.
And so you went on, each engaging in your own respective research, completely ignoring each other's presence in the room.
But it's getting late and you'd better hurry if you don't want to miss dinner. So, putting the books you'd need into your backpack, you head for the door.
To your surprise, the door's closed, which is unusual during the library's opening hours. But you just shrugged it off, approaching and bringing your hand to the doorknob.
Much to your surprise, the door was stuck.
Still, you tried to turn the piece of metal, pulling the door in unsuccessful attempts to get it open. With each futile attempt, your despair grew.
Perhaps because of the time, perhaps because she was attracted by the noise, Wanda walks toward the door as well, and you let out a frustrated huff, letting go of the knob and walking away from the door.
As you walk toward a nearby bookshelf, you hear the brunette struggling to open the door as well, and you roll your eyes in annoyance.
"We're stuck." She says after a while, more to herself than to you. But you let out a dry laugh as you sit down on the floor and rest your back on the wood of the bookshelf. "I noticed."
Wanda casts you an annoyed glance at your sarcastic comment, but soon mimics your position, sitting against one of the bookshelves in the same row as yours, a bookshelf between the two of you.
In absolute silence, you wait (im)patiently for a solution to come to mind. Or, what seemed more likely, some good soul coming to your rescue.
"Urgh, only a Professor Maw paper would get me stuck in the library." Wanda grumbles after a few minutes, burying her face in her hands in frustration.
"You're taking a class with Squidward?" You ask, surprised that the man hasn't retired yet. And then you realize you for some reason are making conversation with the brunette, and your mouth goes dry immediately.
Wanda raises her eyes to you at the same moment, equally surprised you've talked to her. And you're about to turn forward again and pretend nothing happened. But there's no sign of hostility on the girl's face, so you smile.
"Come on, the guy's just like Squidward." You say then, and it only takes a few seconds for Wanda to burst into laughter, agreeing, and you start laughing too.
"You think he plays the clarinet?" She asks, still laughing, and you smile amused as you say, "I don't know, but he totally has the vibe of someone who sucks at painting but thinks he's Picasso himself."
And so you start making fun of all the professors you don't like, laughing until your eyes fill with tears and your cheeks hurt.
With each passing minute you wonder why you spent so much time hating a girl as funny as Wanda. You had no way of knowing she was wondering the exact same thing.
The two of you have no idea how long you've been in there, but soon noises at the door catch your attention, and you look over just in time to see the janitor opening the door.
"What are you guys doing here?" Scott asks, a mixture of surprise and confusion on his face. "We got stuck." You answer at the same time, shocked that the fact had been forgotten in your minds for the previous moment.
"Oh. Yeah, this door sticks sometimes." The man says in a relaxed posture, taking a step to the side and clearing the way. "Well, you're free now."
You and Wanda exchange glances before standing up, but don't hesitate to do so. "Thanks, Mr. Lang." You say as you pass the man, who smiles with a nod before entering the room you were just in.
As you walk down the stairs, you and Wanda are surrounded by silence again. This silence, however, was nothing like the one before.
This one was hesitant and full of expectation, and you only found the words to speak when you're already outside the library. "You know, I took a class with Professor Maw last semester and I must still have my notes. I can send them to you if you want."
"For real?! That would help me a lot, thank you!" Wanda exclaims as her face lights up and you smile shyly as she starts looking for something in her backpack. "Here, let me give you my number."
You wait in silence as Wanda picks up a pen. Instead of taking a notebook from your backpack, you offer her your hand, and the brunette smiles as she writes down her phone number on your skin.
After that, she puts the item back in her bag, and you look at the numbers on your hand before looking at her again.
The two of you just stare at each other for a while, searching your minds for what would be the best thing to say at a moment like that. Eventually, Wanda smiles, "See you around, Y/n."
"See you around." You repeat the goodbye with a nod of your head, and smile back when the brunette smiles before turning and walking away. After a moment or two, you do the same.
You didn't expect you'd end the day lying in your bed getting a Squidward meme from Wanda. But when that's exactly what happens, you don't mind.
