So I have done the math for Mac cannons
Alright so for starters, we are assuming that every MAC Cannon fires at a standardized speed, the most commonly quoted speed of 0.4 Tenths the Speed of Light which, if you're wondering is 11,991,698.3 meters Per Second. With that stated, I have broken this down into Lightest, Medium/Standard, and the Heaviest MAC Cannon. Here is the equation I will be using:
```KE = 1/2(Mass) x (Velocity)^2```
With that being said, the Lightest MAC Cannon is a 10 meter long, 160 ton Projectile. This ends up being 2 GIGATONS of Kinetic Energy (8368 Petajoules of Energy)....Already off to a terrifying start.
With our Medium/Standard MAC Round being a Paris-Class' 600 Ton depleted Uranium model, We get a Kinetic Energy Of Around 9 Gigatons (37656 Petajoules) Of Kinetic Energy.
And with our Biggest/Super MAC at a 3,000 ton Projectile utilized by Orbital Defense Platforms we get a lovely Kinetic Energy of 52.44 Gigatons (219408.96 Petajoules) per shot.
Keep in mind that the TSAR BOMBA, THE BIGGEST NUCLEAR EXPLOSIVE DETONATED ON EARTH, had a yield of 52 MEGATONS OF TNT. Which Translates to 240 Petajoules of Energy.
So Translation:
Lightest MAC = 34.866666666... Tsar Bombas
Standard MAC = 156.9 Tsar Bombas
Heaviest MAC = 914.204 Tsar Bombas
Have I over thought this?
No, the math with those numbers checks out.
Perhaps a few things to consider.
1. MAC rounds do not carry an explosive payload. Yes, with that amount of energy there's going to be an explosion regardless, but it won't be where the majority of the energy is. The majority will be either used in propelling the round through the object, which is why you make sure there isn't anything you care about behind the target, or - if it is somehow entirely stopped - transferred to the object as strain, shaking it apart at the seams.
2. How bad is 100Gt, really?
3. We can go bigger.
06. Skeptically Enchanted   Words:14900
After suffering a life-changing accident, Alfred thinks that it would be really cool if ghosts existed but he truly doesn’t believe in that. Arthur, however, not only believes in ghosts but says that he knows a ghost connected to Alfred.
Long-Shots from my Omegaverse Collection:
01. Metal (Completed) Words: 32373
Nerd alpha Alfred meets punk omega Arthur and they slowly but surely start to develop a bond.
02. Golden Days (Completed/R18) Words: 43641
Arthur Kirkland was a famous beta actor in the time of silent films. However, times change and now there are many new stars around, like the charming and young alpha actor Alfred F. Jones, who Arthur absolutely will grow to hate(and then love).
03. Crystal Clear (In-Progress)  Words:37656
In England, 1848, Arthur Kirkland is hired to solve a case in which a werewolf is being accused of murdering a human. This case is particularly complicated since humans don’t understand the omegaverse dynamics of werewolves and are wary of them as a species. Luckily, Arthur is an omega werewolf determined to bring justice to his people, no matter how persecuted they are. However, even strong-willed and intelligent Arthur, will be shaken up by something about this particular case.
Worship Guide for 1/17/21
Welcome / Call to Worship
Words of Invitation
As we worship God today, bring God yourself and make it your intention to place “you” into his hands; all of you that you can muster. God will be honored and you won’t be disappointed. Take time to settle your mind, slow down your breathing, and if you have a candle—light it as a sign of your recognition that God is with us and your intention to be with him in this time. Begin your time with the following prayer:
Opening Prayer
Song of Praise
(“Our God Saves”) — as you sing, or even if you’re unfamiliar with this song, name ways that God has been good to you and shown you kindness.
Scripture Reading
Psalm 139:1-6, 17-18
Confession of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed
(Speak aloud the words of the Creed, as a “rehearsal” of our faith today, as they are shown on
the screen.)
Feasting on God’s Word
“Anything Good”
1 Samuel 3:1-10; John 1:43-51
  In this passage, Nathanael had to reassess an assumption. What would Nathanael miss if he held on to his assumptions? Think about a time in your life when you had to reassess an assumption.
How does God’s grace give us assurance beyond right or wrong opinions?
Why are difficult conversations so anxiety producing?
While some might see difficult conversations as futile, what good might result from having these conversations?
Prayers of the People
(Offer you prayers along with the service leader. Then, pray together the following:)
Loving God, we your children never pray alone, but only with all your saints in all the world. Therefore, we pray now as Jesus taught us:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory; Both now and forever. Amen
Holy Communion:
With bread and Cup (juice or wine) before you, join in The Great Thanksgiving in preparation of receiving God’s grace through this sacrament (for which our resident Bishop has allowed clergy to consecrate online during this time, for participation at home) speaking what is in bold, or all should you desire:
Invitation
Christ our Lord invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another. Therefore, let us confess our sin before God and one another.
Confession and Pardon
Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart. We have failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love, we have not loved our neighbors, and we have not heard the cry of the needy. Forgive us, we pray. Free us for joyful obedience, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Hear the good news: Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God’s love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Glory to God. Amen.
The Great Thanksgiving
May the Lord be with us. We lift up our hearts to the Lord. Let us give our thanks and praise.
It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven, we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Holy are you, and blessed is your Son Jesus Christ. By the baptism of his suffering, death, and resurrection you gave birth to your church, delivered us from slavery to sin and death, and made with us a new covenant by water and the Spirit.
On the night in which he gave himself up for us he took bread, gave thanks to you, broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
When the supper was over, he took the cup, gave thanks to you, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Drink from this all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
Christ has died; Christ has risen; Christ is with us; Christ will come again.
Pour out your Holy Spirit on we who are gathered in your name, in this and all places your people gather in the union of worship this day, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood
By your Spirit make us one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory, and we feast at his heavenly banquet.
Through your Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in you holy church, all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father, now and forever. Amen.
(Share in the bread before you with the words, “The body of Christ, given for us.” Share in the cup before you with the words, “The blood of Christ, given for us.”)
Palm Sunday Worship Guide
Opening Prayer:
(If you have a candle available, light it as a sign of this time being set apart as sacred and as a confession that God, who is our light, is present with us.)
Pray aloud Psalm 67:1-5:
1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
    and make his face to shine upon us,
2 that your way may be known upon earth,
    your saving power among all nations.
3 Let the peoples praise you, O God;
    let all the peoples praise you.
4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
    for you judge the peoples with equity
    and guide the nations upon earth.
5 Let the peoples praise you, O God;
    let all the peoples praise you.
Pray aloud:
God is Here! As we your people meet to offer praise and prayer, may we find in fuller measure what it is in Christ we share. Here, as in the world around us, all our varied skills and arts wait the coming of the Spirit into open minds and hearts.
Lord of all, of church and kingdom, in an age of change and doubt keep us faithful to the gospel; help us work your purpose out. Here, in this day’s dedication, all we have to give, receive; we, who cannot live without you, we adore you! We believe!
(“God is Here” UMH, 660, vv. 1, 4)
Take time (individually, or together as a group) to offer praise to God by naming the ways God SUSTAINS US and/or GIVES US HIS PEACE (offer circumstances or examples as they come to you).
Prayer of Confession
Offer the following prayer to God (individually or together as a group):
Lord God, your love has called us here, as we, by love, for love were made; your living likeness still we bear, though marred, dishonored, disobeyed; we come, with all our heart and mind; your call to hear, your love to find. Lord God, in Christ you set us free, your life to live, your joy to share; give us your Spirit’s liberty to turn from guilt and dull despair, and offer all that faith can do, while love is making all things new. Amen.
(“Lord God, Your Love Has Called Us Here” UMH, 579. vv. 1, 5)
In silence, confess those ways in which you’ve turned away from God and his ways—trusting that he loves and forgives you (for he does!—see 1 John 1:9)
Rehearsing Our Faith:
Recite aloud our proclamation of faith today, The Nicene Creed:
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human.
For our sakes he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in the one holy catholic* and apostolic church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
                  *meaning the universal Christian church—all believers in Jesus Christ
Prayers of Thanksgiving & Gratitude
As a way to direct our prayers of thanksgiving, read aloud Romans 8:32
He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
Alone or in your group, offer prayers thanking God (After each sharing, offer the phrase (all together), “. . . his mercies never come to an end.”):
. . . for how the Lord has provided what you need this week.
. . . for how the Lord has provided the needs of someone else.
. . . for being with you & holding you up in disruption / isolation / anxiety you might feel at this time.
The Devotion of Giving
Consider making this time your opportunity to give a financial offering to God through his church. There are two ways you can do this through financially supporting the ongoing ministry of Fall Branch UMC:
Mail a check to:
Fall Branch United Methodist Church
P. O. Box 86
Fall Branch, TN 37656
Online Giving:
Go to holston.org/churchoffering and fill in your contact information.
Select Appalachian District in the first pull-down menu. Select Fall Branch United Methodist Church—Fall Branch, TN in the second pull-down menu.
Click the blue bar at the bottom to be taken to a secure site to put in your credit / debit card information and the amount of your offering and submit. That’s it!—100% of your offering will go to the ministry of Fall Branch UMC.
Feasting on God’s Word:
Read aloud Luke 19:29-40
29 When he had come near Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples, 30 saying, “Go into the village ahead of you, and as you enter it you will find tied there a colt that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say this, ‘The Lord needs it.’” 32 So those who were sent departed and found it as he had told them. 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” 34 They said, “The Lord needs it.” 35 Then they brought it to Jesus; and after throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it. 36 As he rode along, people kept spreading their cloaks on the road. 37 As he was now approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen, 38 saying,
“Blessed is the king
    who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven,
    and glory in the highest heaven!”
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, order your disciples to stop.” 40 He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the stones would shout out.”
{If you are making use of today’s video reflection, watch it now at the link below.}
https://youtu.be/x7fd3I3x0Es
Consider and/or discuss the following questions based on the above passage:
What was the crowd expecting once they arrived with Jesus at Jerusalem (see Luke 19:11; Zechariah 9:9, 11-14)? How are their expectations different from Jesus’?
Why do you think Jesus arranged this “triumphal entry?”
What does Jesus’ reply to the Pharisee (vv. 39-40) imply about him?
If Jesus rode into your community to announce God’s reign and his claim on it, what kind of reception, in reality, do you think he’d receive?
Of all the images this story brings to mind, which best describes how you see Jesus “entering” into your life:
humble servant?
warrior king?
teacher dispensing wisdom?
master to be followed/obeyed?
social influencer/crowd leader?
Response to God’s Word:
Pray now for:
the people of Fall Branch UMC . . . those who suffer and those facing trouble . . . the concerns of your local community . . . the world, its peoples, and its leaders . . . the church around the world—its leaders, its members, and its mission . . . that God’s word would spread and people would become followers of Jesus . . .
Consider becoming a part of a Care & Share Team. Contact David Tully for more information at [email protected], submit a question at dgtully.tumblr.com,  or call (770) 356-2543.
Consider sharing what you do have with someone who could use assistance: (for example—offering to get groceries for someone as you go yourself; offer a “home-cooked take out” delivery for someone—taking health precautions as you do so!; mow a yard for a neighbor, etc.)
Finish this part of our worship by praying aloud (together as a family or alone) The Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory; Both now and forever. Amen.
Concluding Prayer of Worship/Devotion:
Pray yourself, or have one member of your family/group offer the following prayer aloud:
Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
(Jude 24-25)
