I feel EXTREMELY dorky when I edit my pictures, but the original backgrounds are so.... boring. xD I am really excited for these aerialist challenges. I’ve noticed that so much from ballet transfers over. My lyra splits have improved so much by using the excercises from @claudiadeancoaching ‘s video “The secret to HIGHER EXTENSIONS| PT 1” Claudia Dean is a gift. #Repost @weheartaerial (@get_repost) ・・・ ✨Achievement unlocked! ✨ Background: So I am one of the winners of the #30daysoflyra challenge (along with @renata.pinal @vonmongoose and @bones_peter) and my prize is an AMAZING lyra provided by @circusconcepts 😱⭕️😍❤️ Working with them to get my tab-less, 37" inner diameter, solid black hoop has been a dream! Cynthia and Hugo have been so helpful while I was trying to figure out exactly what kind of lyra I wanted. I entered this contest in hopes of winning this prize so that Knoxville Aerial Arts could have a lyra to do doubles on. I worked really hard on every post and in the process became a better aerialist! The icing on the cake is when I took my new hoop in to train and found that I could do this move which I NEVER thought would even be possible for me! I have short Achilles' tendons and my feet are much better at pointing then flexing. I have been working on my flexed foot position and noticed that if I pronated my feet while flexed, I might have a better chance of achieving a toe hang. Well turns out that pronation+awesome new lyra from @circusconcepts is the secret to toe hangs! I love how through circus arts I can achieve things that I truly believed to be impossible! I have so many people to thank!
