opposites attract, the olive theory, i like to believe that most lovers are usually the opposites of each other, or atleast disagree with something in a way. ・for zhongli, having to deal with childe and hu tao everyday, it isn't a breath of fresh air when it comes to an s/o that's overly affectionate and loud, not that he finds it annoying, finds it very cute, every little bit of affection you give him makes his day always. other people might find you overtly obnoxious, but he'd never, everything about you honestly is really.. perfect.. to him. can't describe it in words, even if you were to be similar, he's the type to always expect it, and be the only person not being scared by you, and he's honestly okay with that, hu tao is probably your guys' matchmaker! will trap you both in a closet together while you visited the funeral parlor, gives it about... 15 minutes.. and small hickey can definitely be seen on you and him, is both happy and goes "ew... get a room!!" and also the person to stash both of you guys into a cramped area when she knows very damn well you both like each other.. well took you both long enough honestly, definitely got impatient and pushed you guys... a bit..

・alatus xiao... definitely will tell you you are annoying at first, but you are the annoying he loves <3. the only annoying person he will listen to, and give forehead kisses to, and cuddle all night 'till he sleeps. you really are an exception... but if he'll be totally real with himself, he loves it when you bug him to tell him about what happened today, or who you've talked to, or if you've seen anything new, falls in love all over again every time that you do. likes zoning out when you rant, and all he can see is your pretty smile going on and on about some vendor who gave you free food. likes to shut you up with a kiss, does it often, and makes both of you red. whenever you hear him say something like "do you ever shut up?", it translates to "please keep talking with that soothing voice of yours." i promise he loves you so much, just is still getting used to it.

extrovert x introvert kind of way, one that talks alot, one that listens alot. ・oh loverboy childe/tartaglia.. literal devil x angel type of relationship, in this case, he's the devil. loves bothering you, like even if you give him something while he waits for you to be done with whatever you need to be done, he can't be distracted from distracting his lover?! still a huge sweetheart, don't get me wrong, the type to really memorize things about you too, notices so many little things about you, like even things you don't even notice. but someone who can tolerate his shenanigans are the best match for him. the best hugs ever too, so when you're stressed, just ask for cuddles and kisses and he'll be there to talk to you, even if you don't wanna talk about it, he'll talk to you about his day to comfort you instead. loves you like you are an angel from heaven that blessed him, because you were, and you did.

・kaedehara kazuha.. in this case you are the extrovert, likes to listen you rambling about something from work, the type to hold you close to his chest and hum a familiar tune to get you to sleep, likes to just watch and listen to someone who tends to talk a lot with no one listening to them, but he's always there for you. such a sweetheart with it too, loves to hold your hand while you do, if anyone tells you you're annoying best bet he'll deal with them, with words. isn't shy to say you're his s/o, unintentionally tells everyone about you, "honestly s/o is such a dear for me. they ---." he's ranting to a toucan by the way.

grumpy x sunshine, this is scaramouche with his s/o, if i do say so myself. literal showers of affection in private, 'cold-hearted' in public, promise he doesn't mean the insults he spits at you. still willing for a bit of pda though, basic holding hands is the only kinda he allows tbh, lowkey flexes you when he's with someone else, "oh you know, s/o would've done better than you." so even if you haven't even met them, probably one of his coworkers or friends are already fed up with you (as a joke and seriously), if he's ever upset, he'll really just come over to you, ready for your little kisses on his cheeks, and your head on his lap, just adoring each other, like no one else would.

sun x moon is what baizhu and you would be. and goes so far to already decide what to call your children together. stars. in this case, you're his sun, loud, kind, caring, everything he could imagine, him? oh he's not all that special. he thinks you fell from celestia because wow you really shine, and he's more than thankful everyday that, and likes to spend time with both you and qiqi. so he also does call qiqi a star too <3. just like kazuha, he likes listening more than talking, does the zoning out thing too, changsheng has to tell him to stop so he listens to you, a bright person with someone like him really just.. he knows how much he's been blessed by archons.

genuine genuine genuine question- wwwhy do you not like the zonai? (zonau? not sure if thats like. the worlds coolest plural or a translation difference) given your content with more monstery designs i would have thought they'd be up your alley!! however. i have also not played skyward sword (as much as id like to) and i know most of peoples upset with their existence and the totk storyline is because of its conflicts with that plot? i'm very excited to see what you do with your rewrite/botw2!! given their slight presence in faron in botw, it would be cool to see you repurpose the zonai in some way that doesn't conflict with the plot you're going for, something that makes more sense with the cryptic kinda bare minimum we had in botw? sorry if you've explained your stance on the zonai before <3

hhhhhhhh i had ranted alot about it but i hope you are prepared- (also "zonai" is sonau in german but im choosing to write it with a z so people recognize it at least, im pretty sure zonau is also the orignal japanese word for them)

i am fine with their design, in fact, i LIKE their character designs, however i dont like everything else about them.

and no its also not bc it affects skyward sword bc it doesnt affect ANYTHING in skyward sword, bc skyward sword is the VERY FIRST zelda game in the timeline and totk is nowhere near it, totk draws several paralels towards skysw bc its meant a sort of soft reset for this new era but its really just thematic overlap and references bc those are cool (i know alot of people are trying to convince the entire fandom that totk somehow is crammed into the old timeline but trust me its never anywhere near confirmed nor does it make any sense, heres the lil graphic i made last month to clarify how i think its meant to be understood .. quite obviously even -

i dont mean to sound .. mean, but some people read too much into little phrases or references to older titles (like first king of hyrule .. doesnt have to mean the literal firstest of the first ones in all of forgotten history ever, just the first of THIS hyrule for example), and while im not against theories i am very annoyed when people try to say its somehow canon when its NOT)

with that out of the way;

i dont like how they are 'integrated' into botws world, they feel unnatural and shoved in everywhere, they have been everywhere and did everythign better and cooler and no part of (this) hyrule was untouched by them their architecture feels not integrated well either and design wise its rather bland, while the sheikah shrines for example while obviously not natural and very 'techy' they still build a harmonizing contrast while the totk shrines are pretty laughably unfitting compared to them the basically complete disappearance of all sheikah tech related stuff bothers me immensely bc why would you just get rid of it istead of developing it further (i know about purahs towers and think they are just like a worse version of the previous ones; and before this argument comes up again, them destryoing it all -somehow- bc they were afraid of it being taken over again is a dumb excuse bc then they should be even more scared of zonau tech- even MORE unknown and advanced tech literally falling from the sky) you could have done SO MUCH with the ancient shiekah tech it drives me nuts

i also think it tipped the delicate balance of the kinda medival setting + high tech that botw had set up compeltely over, the zonau tech just .. is so painfully obviously only the way it is to give you little lego parts to glue together (i know its a focus of the game ... or at least the gamePLAY but it could have been done better, again i think they managed the balance perfectly with shiekah tech, its weird and isnt natural but doesnt endanger the believability of it ... the zonau tech just throws that out the window rly ... how cool would it have been if you could built lil guardian walk thingies djknhfkd )

in general they just feel like a complete replacement for the ancient shiekah and are so SO desperately trying to make the zonau the COOLER and BETTER versions of what the shiekah were (you COULD have connected them in a cool way, like there being ancient shiekah labs build in the old zonau mining facilities bc they used zonau tech as basis for their own tech etc)

like instead of building on the set up and potential botw had prepared, they just scrambled to make a 'better' version of botw, like oh no forget THAT ancient civilization we have an EVEN MORE ancient, and EVEN MORE highly developed peoples there that were also everywhere before you but also were never really hinted at- and then repeat botws structure .__.

having an old and forgotten civilization of whom only some withered ruins remain gave botw a much more real feeling, a world with a history that you will never know (you know, bc that makes it intriguing and is just .. a good choice of worldbuilding imo)- and then totk comes along and reveals everything and also nothing, we know too much of them to be intrigued by their mystery and also not enough to actually care about them (also them beign presented as the good perfectly perfectestest kingdom of light that can do no wrong other than underestimate the eeeevil guy while they also had their hands on every part of the land and made all other races be their face and nameless servants just ... thats weird man!! i know its a game, even if its only aimed at kids my god they arent stupid either!! you really present me with that and expect me to take it at face value what argh)

again i think they COULD have been integrated into it, but the way it was done completely threw me off, im not mad about them EXISTING but about how it was DONE in the game

the way they were done robs not just totk but also botw of mystery and intrigue, for example i much rather had them stay a mystery, only ever talked about in some text and some old and almost completely withered ruins left, you never get so see what happened there in the past, you can only guess, but you have to deal with the fallout anyway and thats just ONE possibility, there are so many and it feels like they chose the most boring one every single time

sometimes knowing less is better than knowing half

(maybe i can make it clearer when .. or if i can get to illustrate what could have worked -in my opinion- better .... sorry for ranting again ;__; )

soft jeno who drops everything when you even slightly hint at wanting or needing his attention for whatever reason. doesn't matter what he's doing. he's setting it aside and giving you the attention you're craving. he's so incredibly whipped that he'll do just about anything you ask, if it's something he can do at the moment. you wanna order takeout and watch a movie and cuddle on the couch? on it. you're asking to share a nice bubble bath together? he's asking what scent you want. like it truly does not matter; he just wants to make you happy and give you the attention you deserve.

he can be a little mean about it though sometimes. not in an "i'm busy and you're annoying me" way, of course. more so, he just wants to tease you and make you work a little for his attention. he'll tell you he's a little busy at the moment and can't put a hold on it, but says that you're more than welcome to sit on his lap and wait. you do and it's always nice for a little while until he convinces you to cockwarm him. he reasons that you wanted his attention and that's what he can offer for now, so be good and do it for him? please? he'll take care of you later, he promises. and you can't ever say no to him, not when you want him in you all the time anyways.

I recently read the newest edition to your hybrid au and !!! omg !!! it was REALLY good. your work never disappoints, whether it's a drabble or a full-fledged fic !! I really admire the route you're taking for some characters and their hybrid counterparts. I can see how much thought u put into it ^o^ and otter!xingqiu is sooo cute >_< I honestly thought he was going to be a dolphin since they're intelligent, but an otter makes sm sense now that I think about it :D

I was curious about this for awhile.. but the characters have animal characteristics while in their hybrid forms, right? like ajax has his little horn, and venti has wings (?). with that being said, since scara is a bird hybrid, wouldn't mc have been able to notice hes a hybrid upon first meeting him? since I assume his wings would be present? and could you possible give a further visual for ayato ;; you mentioned he had a fin, but does he also have legs? or is it like a fin coming off from his spine? (does that make sense ;;)

OH ALSO :3 do they inhabit little animal habits, like does aether purr in his hybrid form?

(sorry this is rly self indulgent pls forgive me 🙏)

hybrids have the ability to switch between their animal and human forms and everything in between!

their animal and hybrid forms take up the least energy, while maintaining a fully human form drains them of their energy fast! scara was in his full human form when you met him, hence mc couldn't tell what he was when they first met them!

when first meeting ayato, you meet him in his half-hybrid form— think a mermaid, but with a sawshark's fin and denticles. however, when he lounging around your home, he takes on a pair of legs for convenience, but has his tail coming off his spine for energy saving.

all your hybrids tend to take on a humanoid form in your house, as they're comfortable doing so and it's easier interacting with you. some traits they have include (click for an extensive list of their hybrid traits):

aether: cat tail and ears, and set of canines too! often insists on acting as unhybrid-like as possible because he thinks its a weakness (past trauma lmao) but he's very prone to purring when someone scratches him behind his ear. although he can be stoic, his tail is very expressive, and it often gives him away whenever the group is playing cards. prone to biting people when they annoy him << happens a lot

venti: a pair of wings and feathers around his legs and ears. think like a harpy for every bird hybrid on this list. he makes small little coos every now and then, especially when he's relaxed. sometimes is an idiot and forgets he has a human mouth so he just... pecks off the food from someone's hand sometimes.

kazuha: a fluffy tail and ears, along with his fluffy flying membrane too! when given the proper surface, kazuha will hang upside down when he's eating his food. when he's landing, he'll use his fluffy tail as a balancer, though he'll also wrap it around you to earn some cookie points :p he's often seen perching off trees or railings

xiao: a radiant set of feathers stem from the side of his head! he's vigilant most of the time, so only when he feels at ease does he let the wings show. he acts less hybrid-like from his peers, because being a mythical variant means he's less affected by his animal instincts. on the whole he acts... xiao, but he's actually very insecure about his feathers because they're not as nice as he'd like them to be.

scara: the smallest set of wings known to hybrid kind lmao. gets very insecure about it. very picky with his food and only eats the colorful kind ( read this and was like wow, very scara-like). makes a lot of clack clack noises that makes him sound annoyed (most of the time, it's true). since he barely has anything to offer, he reverts to his animal form to woo you with his cuteness.

heizou: again, a pair of (very expressive) wings and feathers jutting from his skin! has learned to overcome his jealousy and share (ural owls are monogamous). often jokingly swoops in for the smaller animals and 'eat' them. makes a lot of 'hoot hoot's when he's not paying attention.

ayato: has a fin coming out of his spine and denticles throughout his skin... and a killer smile. has an unnatural mouth make-up due to being a shark (is this ur kink guys). likes mudbaths thanks to his animal nature. jokingly acts biting smaller hybrids cuz he thinks its funny. (not so) jokingly bites you. he's not attracted to human blood, but he thinks the scent of yours is alluring.

childe: a horn and shimmering mottled skin. literally moans when you feel his horn it's kinda disgusting (it is also not an overexaggeration as the other hybrids believe, they really are that sensitive). would like you to ignore the fact that the tusk is a tooth when in his hybrid form. likes his seafood too much and ends up gorging on them whenever it's served.

xingqiu: otter ears, clawed hands and a cute tail! and some fur around his neck and legs. also.. sharp teeth. often sunning on the lake banks like the primadonna that he is. scents you and his favorite people (just chongyun & aether). reverts to his otter form to persuade you to do his bidding lol, crafty dude.

When you, the resident flirt of Gotham's arsenal of vigilantes, noticeably stop flirting with the only person who ever reciprocated your flirts, Nightwing. Dick realises he needed to face his feelings for you before anything worse happens.

It has been a running joke for the longest time. Even Alfred and Bruce have gotten used to it at this point. After years of you flirting with practically everyone in your age group in the Batfamily, off and on the missions, it is almost expected.

Which was why it was so surprising when you stopped, particularly stopped with Dick Grayson. Nightwing.

“Babs, you’re looking even hotter now in that new haircut, care for a hot coffee?” You pranced in the Batcave during a rather tedious night while everyone was analysing a collection of pieces of evidence they were able to put together to hopefully take down Two Face.

Barbara only chuckled and turned around in her wheelchair to face you, “Thank you for noticing, sure, I’ll have a cup of coffee.” Right as you gave Barbara her coffee, Tim yelled out from behind you, “She gets a coffee and I don’t?!”

You sarcastically groaned before turning around and handing the overworked Red Robin his coffee, “Thre-” “Three shots of just espresso, yes. I know your order well enough at this point.

Tim silently thanked you before going back to work, only for you to reply with a low you’re welcome and a wink. All this almost felt routine to you. Being your own vigilante out on the streets, you’ve come to enjoy the playful banter and flirts that are so uniquely you. It made you even happier that the recipients, the entirety of the Batfamily, seem to enjoy them just as much.

Your little quips and playful teasings brought some light and humour into the dark and gloomy nights of Gotham City. So, you kept doing them.

A little jab at Jason’s book obsession, a small back and forth banter with Stephanie, even the rare corny jokes that somehow were able to make Cass smile. It was all worth it and you made sure everyone got a dose of it. Even Tim, who has repeatedly told you to stop, especially when your jokes get suggestive, and he gets too flustered, seems to tolerate and even humour it at times.

See, you made sure everyone got their daily dose of you. Except, the resident oldest son in the Batfamily, Dick Grayson. The original Boy Wonder. At first, it wasn’t that noticeable. It went from you complimenting his ass every other day to only chuckling at his dad jokes that annoyed everyone else.

But then it became so much more noticeable. So much so that Stephanie started wondering if there was anything wrong between the two of you. You started brushing off Dick more and more when he asked to be partnered with you during your missions. Despite the fact that you’re usually excited anytime anyone at all wants to partner with you, even if it wasn’t the most strategically well-thought-out decision. You seemed to prefer going with anyone except Dick in most cases when the strategy even slightly calls for it.

To be quite honest, Bruce would be quite content if this was where it ended. After all, he could only explain to you and Dick so many times why being together in every single mission is a bad idea, especially during the missions where it’s clear Dick is better suited to go with someone else or the opposite. But it didn’t just end there.

You would also take up more daytime shifts with Duke. Your reasoning? Since the day you started you weren’t a night-only vigilante like most of Gotham’s protectors were. So why not take more day shifts? This wouldn’t be so suspicious had you not opted out for the daytime shifts during the days Dick was working with the Batfamily. Which, mind you, wasn’t every day. He had his own duties in Bludhaven, but every time he was needed in Gotham, needed by Bruce. You avoided working with him unless absolutely necessary.

Then came the complete erasure of your dose of flirts and jabs. It was clear within the mansion that you got the most joy doing your little quips and flirtings when it was to Dick. As he would usually quip back to you with the same energy. But it was as if that entire thing was gone from you now.

Even in missions where there was some downtime, just like now, you’d avoid complimenting Dick. Not Jason, who doesn’t always react well to your statements. Not Cass who never says anything back, only chuckles or smiles. Not even Tim who groans and pretends you annoy him. But Dick, fucking, Grayson, the man who always matched your energy and would always make you laugh even more. You avoided him.

“Hey hot stuff, big bat said you needed my assistance.” You landed right in the empty spot between Jason and Dick, grinning ear to ear from under your mask at the obvious annoyance radiating off of Jason immediately after your statement. “When I said we needed help, I was expecting Cass.”

You feigned hurt as you dramatically fall to your side and leaned at Jason, “Ouch. Why would you hurt me so, my love?” your hand reached out to touch his helmet before getting swatted by Jason. A burst of laughter escaped you as you stood up straight again. All before turning to Dick and greeting him with a simple, “Hey, blue, how’s Bludhaven?”

“It’d be better with you in it.” Dick landed his signature sarcastic smirk as Jason groaned in displeasure beside you. The two men expected you to say something equally as flirtatious, as you always do. But instead, you only chuckled dryly. “I’m guessing it’s not currently infested with crime then if you’re here helping us Gothamites out.”

Jason’s brow furrowed under his helmet as he listened in to the interaction between the two of you. He was never one to be too curious about things that didn’t affect him, but this was one of his best friends acting completely out of their element. And it seems that not only Jason was caught off guard.

As Dick had to pause for a moment, letting your response sink in before clearing his throat and answering, almost awkwardly so. “Yeah, nothing too big, just petty thieves the police can deal with.”

“Good to know.” That was your only response. Plain, dry, and straight to the point. It was odd seeing you react and especially talk in that manner. No funny flirts? No banter? Nothing about how the police wouldn’t be able to handle Dick in that costume? Nothing at all???

This would be weird if it happened once, unfortunately, it became downright strange when it happened almost every time.

Long conversations between you and Dick would turn into short polite greetings. And his attempts at trying to elongate any type of interaction between you two would only be one-sided. It had seemed, to everyone in the manor that, you hated Dick Grayson. Well, to everyone except Cassandra Cain.

Dick barged into Barbara’s apartment one night after an uneventful night in Gotham and decided to vent to one of your closest mutual friends with him. “I just don’t get it, Babs. One day we were fine! Then the next they suddenly started avoiding me?? Did I do something wrong to them?”

Barbara Gordon, absolutely tired of Dick’s melodrama wheeled herself towards the window sill where Dick was perching on top of like a damn bird. “Listen, Dick, maybe they just need some time, you know? It couldn’t be something personal to them, it’s not always your fault.” She tried consoling him. Even though all she ever wanted to do right now was get back to her couch with Cass and continue watching the film Dick interrupted.

“But that’s the thing! If it is personal, then it’s personal to them AND me!” Despite the fact that Barbara made no indication of letting Dick in, the man, still fully suited, let himself in through the window. “They’re acting normal to you guys, hell did you even hear what happened during the mission yesterday? They said Tim’s tired voice was hot! Tim!!! They usually say that about me!”

Dick then collapsed on the couch in front of the one Cass was sitting on, sighing over dramatically. “I just- I want to know what I did wrong so I can apologize to them.”

“You did nothing wrong.” Cass suddenly spoke, surprising Dick. Though Barbara just sighed and made her way towards Cass, sitting beside the black-haired woman, “She’s right. Cass and I have been talking about this and I think the issue is with them, not you.” Barbara explained further.

This statement confused Dick even more, how could it be your fault? What did they even mean? “You know, for the first person trained by Bruce, you’re kind of dumb.” Barbara jested at seeing Dick’s perplexed face.

The cogs started to turn in Dick’s brain but still, it didn’t make any sense. “Grayson, how do you feel about them? Why do you care so much?” Barbara, feeling slightly less exhausted and more pity for the man who seemed like he was not getting the hint finally tried to better explain.

Dick contemplated his answer for a moment. He’s had thought about his feelings for you once before, and the conclusion then was the same as he was about to come to right now. Inconclusive. He’s fallen in love before. Kori, Barbara, hell, even Wally. All three he fucked up one way or another, all three he’s made the best of, and all three were his closest friends now. But with you, with you, it felt almost different.

With you, nothing ever felt heavy or complicated. He didn’t feel the thoughts running through his head on how he should impress you or how he could get rid of his competition. He didn’t feel butterflies or nerves whenever he was around you either. Quite the opposite actually. You made him feel light.

Lighter than feathers.

You made him feel like he was capable of flying.

And so he told all of this to Barbara and Cass. Barbara reacted by smiling, whilst Cass gave him a straight answer. “You love them.” It was then the blocks really fell into place. He felt confident, light, and happy around you because that’s the kind of love he felt right now. The kind of love that felt joyous with no burdens. The kind of pure love that no one ever realises they harbour for anyone until the direct question is asked. The kind of love that’s just absolutely perfect.

His realisation causes the entire situation to worsen. Now his heart hurt even more at the thought of you ignoring him or being mad at him. “That still doesn’t answer why they’d avoid me.” he spoke, exasperated.

“Talk to them.” That was all that Cass said, and before Dick could protest, saying he could never put you in such an awkward position, Barbara agreed with her.

She urged Dick outside and somehow gave him the strength a childhood friend could give. So, he nodded. He needed the closure anyways. Even if you told him outright that you were avoiding him because you hated him, or the like, at least he’d have an answer. A straightforward one. He just had to talk to you.

So, that is exactly what he did. Dick, at this point, knew the days you’d leave to patrol and the days when you don’t. It was just his luck that today was the day you finished patrolling early. Thankfully, Gotham wasn’t that noisy tonight, so you must’ve already been in bed, cuddled up in your blanket, scrolling mindlessly through your phone before surrendering to slumber.

He thought it was alright to just pop in for a while.

Whilst making his way from rooftop to rooftop towards your apartment, Dick rehearsed what he wanted to say over and over again in his mind. He thought about what to respond with for every one of your answers. Despite what Barbara said, it was VERY clear Dick was Bruce's first trainee, for he had the same anxiety and overthinking nature Bruce did. Something he wished he could trade for the whole world right now.

Because if he could flirt his way to getting the heart of his childhood friend, Barbara Gordon, an alien princess that towers over him, Koriand'r, and a speedster capable of rewriting time and space through speed, Wally West. Why was it so hard to just talk to you?

For once, he felt nervous to see you, yet his body would not let him turn around and flee for Bludhaven. Your very existence called out to him, and he chased after it. Even if it may lead to the end of his heart as if he was a moth and you were his very own personal flame.

Now approaching your fire escape, he stood there for a moment. Even if you were truly fire, someone to burn him to the ground after your rejection, he'd only have to rise from the ashes once more and wait until your flames would not hurt him as much.

So, with a deep inhale, he knocked on the glass. In a second, he heard you rushing inside the apartment before you slammed the window open. “Jay what took you so long?! I’ve been waiting-” That name genuinely felt like a slap to the face.

Any kind of bravery Barbara practically drilled into Dick’s head was gone when he heard you call out Jason’s name. Why were you expecting Jason? Did his brother come over to your home this late often? If so, why???

He saw you visibly tense up when you realised it was him and wondered if this was a bad idea. It was clear that something had happened between you and him to make you act this way, even if he himself didn’t know what it was. Perhaps it’d be better to leave it that way rather than confront it and make things even worse.

“Dick, hi,” you mumbled almost awkwardly. Especially after calling out to his brother, thinking it was him that was paying you a visit.

It was too late though, Dick couldn’t just back down now that you were in front of him. If he were to back down what kind of excuse could he tell you? Why would he be on your fire escape at 11 pm? It just made no sense. So he took a deep breath and finally spoke. “Hey, can we talk?”

There was a sudden air of seriousness that filled the empty space between both of you at that moment. The usual charming boyish smile on Dick’s face was the number one sign to you that he was being serious. “Yeah, uh, sure, come in.” You awkwardly shuffled away from the window to let Dick in.

It felt awkward having him in your space. As if the two of you didn’t spend hours upon hours in the past just lounging about in your apartment watching bad hallmark movies and laughing every time a cliche happens. He felt almost foreign now that you’ve made it your mission to avoid him for the last few months. It wasn’t any better for Dick, he had never felt so out of his element than at this very moment. Feeling as though he wasn’t supposed to be there.

“So,” you awkwardly started shifting your weight from one foot to the other, “What did you want to talk about?”

Dick stayed silent for a little while, “I just,” he braved himself to look at your eyes. “I just wanted to know where we went wrong.” Your eyes widened at his statement.

But your silence invited Dick to continue talking, “We used to be so close to each other and now I can’t help but feel like you’re avoiding me. I just want to know where we went wrong.” There was sincerity in his voice and you knew that.

He truly did feel like shit after your attempts of avoiding and ignoring him. Dick watched as the cogs start turning in your brain, he could only assume you were trying to formulate a response. But he wasn’t done telling you everything.

He was highly aware of how his plan may backfire, especially because there was a high chance in Dick’s mind that the reason why you were avoiding him was that you hated him. That’s why before he could take any of the negative responses he wanted you to know how he truly felt.

“I-,” he awkwardly stated, “I really like you. I want to be the reason you smile everyday and I want to always be by your side. But if you don’t feel the same way then I can understand that.” There was something awkward about accepting his rejection before he was even rejected. Despite this, he still said what he needed to say, and now he waited.

The tension in the air was palpable, you could cut it with a knife with how thick it was. Your silence was killing him. As he dropped his gaze to the ground, slowly regretting every single word that he spoke to you since his decision to confront you, he felt your soft hand touch his cheek.

His eyes, underneath the mask he forgot to take off, widened in surprise at your amused smile. Your thumb played with the edges of his mask for a moment before talking, “You dense idiot. Here I thought I was the fool.”

In pure confused fashion, Dick felt his words get stuck in his throat, so much so he didn’t know what to say. “I’ve been avoiding you because I wanted to move on from you. You idiot.”

It was then he looked at you as if you had grown fifty more heads, causing a spark of laughter to erupt from you. “Wait! Move on?! From me?! So you- you like me too?!” There was something so innocently childish with the way the puzzles connected in his head. You could only laugh and nod your head excitingly.

Once Dick finally let your words melt into his heart, he practically jumped. “Why didn’t you say anything sooner then?!?!!” He held your face in his hands as a giant smile decorated his face.

“I didn’t think you liked me that way, every time I flited with you, you’d always joke around! I thought you were just joking!!!” You stated in between your laughs. Dick could only let out an exasperated joyous bark of laughter. “I was never joking every singly time I flirted with you!”

“Well neither was I!”

It was at that moment the two of your realised what idiots both of you were. The tension then broke almost immediately, laughter and joy circled the air as the two of you lovestruck idiots realised the other’s feelings.

In the next few months, the Batfamily, including Bruce, would soon see the flirt of Gotham, you. Would soon not earn that title any longer. As your quips, flirts, and teasing would now only be directed to Bludhaven’s very own blue bird, Dick Grayson, Nightwing, and his pretty ass.

I don't really like the ending but this was already 3k words long so I didn't want to make it any longer tbh BUT HERE IT IS finally it's done I really enjoyed writing the awkward confessions cause that's what confessions are. They're always so awkward whether or not they end good or bad! Anyways, thank you so much for reading and I hope all of you have a very good day!

Why don’t you ship it: The Fandom. Listen I hate saying it but it really is 90% of the reason why- I always try not to let annoying fandom stuff sour my opinions but like... MAN- Because like I actually did really use to enjoy /r tntduo fuck man I was shipping it back in October 17th 2020 after the moment in the button room and especially after the famous Niki's birthday stream like- idk I just liked the dynamic and the chemistry it was fun! I was even still shipping it when I first started getting really into the c!fiances and was hyped when Wilbur and Quackity met up again... but then. What made you ship it? Started for the fluff and stayed for the toxic ship 😈- GOD Quackity and Luzu fucking outdid themselves with Luckity in Karmaland V like dude it's just so good- like looking back on it the writing was already on the walls that they were so doomed from the very start- like they somehow manage to be both "it's tragic because it didn't have to end this way" and "it's tragic because it was always gonna end this way." if that makes sense. But god at the start it was just so easy to overlook the blaring the red flags because they'd give us just enough hope that it'd end well only for the rug to get pulled during the elections and the whole dynamic get's flopped on it's head but now instead of cute fluff or funny flirting it's this Angry passion and resentment- from start to end they were devoted to each other whether in hatred or in love. The build-up and payoff were both just amazing even if I felt miffed about the ending of the arc at first I've since come to love it because really it's just the cherry on top of their tragedy leaving the possibility they could just end up doing it all over again yeah <3 They were The Moment yeah!

What are your favorite things about the ship? A lot of things but like- I love that they're sun and moon coded <33333 I remember associating them with sun/moon imagery before they took those iconic photos with the sun and moon and like I was so hyped when that happened <3 my toxic sun/moon boys yeah <3

Alright here we go, I haven't done this in years but decided to do it this year as a kinda roundup of some of the best games I've played this year and why I picked them, my kinda criteria for picking them is they have to be games I've actually finished, and actually came out this year, I don't usually include ports but remakes do make it in for me, and there will be a section near the bottom for games I did like a lot but didn't actually come out this year, so uhh let's get started i guess gonna get the Triple A junk out of the way first I think, so first off:

Spider-Man 2, rly liked the first one and the Miles Morales games and this one just continued on the story and whatever, it improved on a lot of things over the first game and I think it ended up just being more enjoyable overall, plus like, 19 inches of Venom and whatever, villains maybe weren't as good as the previous game but there was some rly good gameplay sections with some of them, tho once again i felt like the sidequests fell a bit short but they did at least have boss fights and more villain stuff in them so that was good, good game 👍

okey, game 2 is

Pikmin 4, and no i'm not editing this picture thank u, pretty much the best one in the series? just good overall and even tho i didn't 100% it i'm pretty sure the bonus mode you get is just a mini remake of the original game so that's cool, overall really good, definitely dragged near the end tho and kinda felt like it was going on too long, but still good, this was also like the only major Nintendo release of this year i played for more than like, an hour lol, outside of one dlc game 3 be:

Final Fantasy 16, this one is weird because I both loved and hated it at the same time, not rly much to say about it other than its the worst 10/10 video game i've ever played, it has some of the highest highs in anything i've ever played and its offset by some of the most boring shit in the world that made me want to eat my own head at times, it's good but it's also shit, it also runs like absolute ass for no reason and square enix were convinced it was totally 100% fine and didn't need to be patched and even when they did it still didn't fix it, there's literally no way I can sell anyone on this game, play Asura's Wrath instead 👍 okey i guess 4&5 are kinda gonna be rolled into one so:

Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 Remakes, both really good remakes of really good video games, but at the same time don't really replace the original versions? there's both no reason to play these over the OG releases but they're also different enough that it's fine for both original and remakes to exist, so worth playing if you like the original releases, i guess the only complaint i have is they cut out operation Ada and seperate ways from RE4 remake and then sold it back to us as dlc, but its actually more complete than the original version and worth the price i think, still annoying but hey, modern videos games babey

ok i guess next is like "non triple A games" and weird games that I enjoyed, not all of these are indie games but they're not triple A stuff so? 🤷

Robocop: Rouge City, its basically Robocop 2.5 the movie the video game, it's kinda jank, it's kinda slow to be expected but it's pretty fun and funny just seeing Robocop interact with people and then like, grab people off their motorcycles and throw them into exploding barrels, it's dumb it's good it rly captures the 80s jank of Robocop pretty well 👍 next is technically a game that didn't come out this year but it did because literally no one uses apple arcade so

Air Twister, this is probably the fucking weirdest game i've played in a very long time, i went in expecting to play a modern Space Harrier instead i got a lock on style shooter with a soundtrack that is just some band emulating Queen songs, no joke, i was just blown away the whole time at what was happening, it wasn't until i died and ran out of credits that i ended up in the games main menu which had so much stuff i was just clicking menus for about 20 mins and kept discovering more and more video game nonsense to play and unlock, SUPER weird, pretty fun, Yu Suzuki why did you release this on apple arcade originally and WHAT were you on when you made this sir, good job next i guess is

Graze Counter GM, an updated/sequel to Graze Counter, one of the first Shmups i've gotten in to and it's just really fun, loads of characters, about 8? stages to play, good basic gameplay mechanics, bunch of different difficulties and options to play with and it's just a lot of fun for a 20 min ish run through the game, def inspired me to play more shmups and get better at them, good game next we finally got some FPS games

Warhammer 40k Boltgun, classic boomer shooter style game, very stompy and heavy feeling but also really fast and fun, really enjoyed how colourful the game is and the fact there's a dedicated taunt button that does nothing by make you crack your knickles and yell things, only major complaint i had was there wasn't enough boss variety and one of the is kinda straight bs some of the time, but for the most part it was a lot of fun, also corvus helmet best helmet 👍 more FPS gamign which was a semi recent release?

Sprawl, it's currently on sale but its cheap anyways, from the banner art alone you can tell the dev is a MGS and Ghost in the Shell fan, and playing the game you can tell that too somewhat, really fun really gritty and pretty fast paced, has controllable slomo bullet time which is now something I love in games?? soundtrack is good and yeah, it's just good, really cool aesthetically has that very gritty industrial kowloon walled city cyberpunk look and feel to it and very satisfying to play, really good. last thing for games this year is a DLC

I really like the Xenoblade Chronicles series, and the XB3 dlc is a really good final wrap up of the game, lots of fanservice in the good way and just plays well and is fun, ties up a lot of story junk you'd want to know, I still think the XBC2 dlc is the best playing XBC thing but this is very good and just very fun, can't say too much without spoiling anything in the series lol but I enjoyed it a lot after finishing off XBC3 ok halfway there (joke) :^) next is games that didn't come out this year but I did play and really liked sooo

I got into racing games i guess around this time last year, I picked up Gran Turismo 7 in maybe January or February and played it a lot since, not the most exciting game or best or feature full but it has stuff that I like, and as a result has gotten me more into cars, car games and just made me better at it, had a lot of fun and the big update they did semi recently has just made the game better yehaw time??

not really much to say about Evil West other than it's what a new xbox 360/PS3 era action game would be like, just without the jank and with more convenience, not afraid to be cheesy and dumb its just a standard level based action game where you're a techno cowboy kinda guy fighting vampires, it's good it's fun and it's not that hard 🤠 nya:

one of the first games I played this year was Stray cuz i got it in an early sale, I had no real idea what to expect and I enjoyed every moment of it, really good aesthetics and design and an interesting post apocalypse style world you get to explore, you really end up caring about all the robot people and the cat and everything, also you get a meow button so its good 😺 more FPS game

I'd always seen this game just never picked it up, I think Severed Steel is one of my favourite FPS games ever now, the main story/campaign is only about 3 hours long, i beat it in one sitting and i think my face hurt when i was done because i was just grinning and laughing like an idiot the whole time because of how fun it was, there's also a bunch of extra modes to keep playing, the music is good and just everything about the game is fun which was my main takeaway from it, i didn't care that it was short I cared because of how much fun i had, highly recommend if you like sliding into guys, stealing their weapons and blasting them with it before they hit the ground, and with controllable bullet time if you want that too 👍👍 in a similar vein to the above, i guess the oldest game on this list is:

Outrun 2006: coast 2 coast, its the home port of Outrun 2, which includes Outrun 2 and a bunch of extra stuff, similar to Severed Steel this is just the most fun I've had with a racing/car game, it doesn't matter that i'm not super into Ferraris or that it's not realistic or whatever, it's just pure fun, and I don't have to spend a million dollars at the arcade to keep playing, so that's good woa you made it to the end!!!!!!! but wait!!! I played a lot of games this year, and even tho what I said about the previous ones was true, it was kinda hard for me to pick an actual game of the year, i did enjoy a lot of stuff but it didnt feel like anything stood out to me SO much that it deserved a "best game of the year" position for me, so the closest thing to that was:

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, hit a lot of plus points for me, I liked that I had to play the game 3 different times for different endings and a true end type thing, i did get frustrated early on but i kept coming back to play more, it def felt more of an action game than a mech game but customizing and messing with builds to get through fights was fun, tank legs thank u, it was also a similar situation to when elden ring came out, and everyone was playing it at the same time and sharing tips and builds and stuff which felt rly cool and nice and added to the whole experience, my only complaint is i wish it just had an option to start a second save file and do it all again, but oh well. and that's it! there's a bunch of stuff I didn't include in this, but i think this list is good enough for now, maybe next year this'll be a youtube video instead? I hope next years games are just as good, if not better, but even if they're not there's still a lot to play and explore 🐁🐁

I'm marco, 26yo cis guy from UK. I got into weight loss because I wanted motivation to stop drinking around april 2022, and ended up bingeing and purging on avg 3 times a week for abt 6 months. I relapsed back into daily drinking (litre+ of vodka a day) and detoxed in hospital at the start of the year, but have been finding it really difficult to stop and stay stopped, so I'm back here. I've nearly died so many times recently from drinking and I just keep gaining/getting more and more swelling &bloating. If any alcoholics/bulimics have advice for someone who cant stop shovelling it in to get a sustainable deficit, I'd appreciate it a lot. My goal is to be safe about it, but I'm open to anything that works.

I'm experimenting with different methods of weight loss, sometimes fasting, sometimes rezzing, but am very inconsistent. I binge v often. This is not so much an accountability blog, more like recording what I've learnt and just venting. My bmi starting around may20th was 22 ish, was 5th june 20, 4th oct 22.5,and now 20.5 jan27th. Have to get it back to 20, but goal would be 18 with low body fat %. My main goal is to stop drinking and get healthier (thinner).

To do list:

get compression sleeves for running

Things that worked:

going to meetings make it much easier to abstain and think abt other things than food -> much easier rezzing

being distracted by things unrelated to food

having good food options for rezzing prepped, like boiled eggs, or having a solid stock of staples like steak, yoghurt, fruit and veg

not buying food that I will binge on, if I buy it, even if its not for me, I will eat it and get fat

taking longer routes/walking instead of getting train (energy, weather and mood permitting)

peppermint tea

keep it in the day. One day at a time really works, it just takes practise to get into mentally

supporting blood sugar throughout the day, especially if going out/socialising/towards the end of the day (when alc cravings pick up). This is best done with small amounts of carbs following a rly high protein 1st meal

Things that I was doing before but that didn't work out well:

taking K supplements (just eat s. potato for carb allowance, is filling too and has loads of K, stops palpitations when intermittent fasting)

pho, miso or gochujang as soup bases. They are too salty and lead to painful sluggish bloat.

Oyster sauce is not worth the cals

Diet sodas. Caffeine dependence builds really quickly and teeth need help

olive oil for sautéing vegetables. Pointless cals. Fats can come from lean meats like beef steak, eggs and occasional avo as well as omega3 supplements

fasting. At 18 hours I feel like I'm goin mental and at 22+ the palpitations make it uncomfortable to move around or do anything at all

strength training (esp core) at home without equipment. Dont enjoy it at all, not motivated at all

watching hours and hours a day of ED documentaries, scrolling ED tumblr, and watching hours of foodtube every day. Obsession -> binges

hard avoiding carbs. Leads to massive brain rot and feeling morbid. Can't do anything. Inevitable binges, usually alcohol, or 4000 cal of food.

sushi is not really worth it. White sushi rice is too sugary. Its usually a carb craving in disguise, or something to get on the go and is expensive.

weighing every morning just lead to trying to use caffeine as lax and more chaos on energy levels, or obsessing and not being distracted.

Press ups make my joints click a lot. Planking is really boring and doesnt feel rewarding.

Using sex for stim instead of food and cooking

Curious about:

feta, olives and cherry tomatoes for satiety.

Broccoli and mushrooms (annoying to prep or dont taste nice when boiled)

chicken sausages for cheap lean protein (think they can be a binge trigger or lead to mental scarcity feelings but not sure if worth)

ways to make cottage cheese not taste shit (cocoa powder is not cutting it)

cardio > strength training maybe. Runner's high > nothing from strength training (that I ever felt anyway).

Finding a way to enjoy strength training

yoga and stretching for stim

skipping breakfast has really mixed vibes. Can feel completely awful, but can also make rezzing much easier. Can also lead to binges in the evening (because there's unspent cals in the budget). Probably best to stick to eating breakfast but keeping it high protein and not eating right away when waking up.

Experiment with meds timings.

minced turkey or discount fish for lean protein variety

ways to make eating salad not miserable, cos it does work rly well for getting a deficit. (Maybe herbs and lemon and chickpeas? Make in bulk? Quinoa? Binge risk)

New plan from 4th Oct '23 can't be strict bc cant track exercise cals without a phone for looking at time spent walking and running so will need to do a gross-in instead of net- in quick basic (aspirational) plan:

1000 cal deficit/day for the next month -> 1500 gross in/day allowance

NO: baked beans, bone broth, oil, paté, pasta, alcohol, caffeine, quiche, cheese, instant snack food, pesto, chorizo, hummus, meal deal foods reason: too sugary or fatty for their worth in flavour. Cause binges every time when rezzing. Not filling enough. Caffeine leads to crashes and the pickmeup is usually food.

LESS: bread, onion, ketchup reason: can be useful carbs in a pinch, less likely to cause binges than above (because they are only accompanied with protein). Onion and ketchup help with mental scarcity and support good vibes

MORE: fruit, veg soup, sweet potato, tuna, s. noodles, fruit juice, avocado, egg, steak, quorn, butternut squash reason: sugar cravings need to be comboed with fibre addition, or fruit juice could be useful diluted for emergency alc cravings. Everything else is lean protein and should be frontloaded in the day. Sweet potato is there for potassium and low glycaemic index carbs. Avo and s. noodles are contentious bc of price and fat/nutritional value reasons

ALTERNATIVES TO EATING: gaming, reading, weighing, cleaning, brushing teeth, counting cals, weights, stretching, running, walking, meetings. mostly overeat because of boredom and to break monotony in free time or to stim. These are alternatives that work and also make rezzing easier in other ways.

You are going to see them live?! I hope you have a great time!!! The live clips that I've seen of them are amazing, so I'm sure that they'll be unbelievable (heh heh) to see in person. Can I ask, how did you come to discover them? What was it that attracted you to them?

It shocked me to find out that Yechan was the oldest and I love it. I really like his energy! He was actually what initially drew me to the band! I was aware that there was a band that had a violin and as someone who has played it from a very young age I was interested but I never actually did anything with that info lol. Then when boogie man came out, it came up on my yt and I decided to watch it. Fell in love with it, but when Yechan's solo came up I was so impressed (I made my mum watch it too, she taught me violin lol). I then decided to listen to more of their music and fell in love with them and here we are lol.

It pains me to think that I will never meet a man like Sangyeop in real life 😭 He really does seem like the best. How is he even real??

Wonsang really is the cutest oh my goodness. I love him so much! I showed my dad one of his bass solos (my dad plays bass, drums, guitar) and he was disgusted but impressed that he could play a 6! String! Bass! with such ease and sound so good. They really are a stupidly talented group, what I give to have even a smidge of their talent 😭

Now that you've said it I do kind of get boomer vibes off Gwangil ahaha. I love how goofy he is, but I also completely relate to him cringing at the others (I had the same reaction to aegihae(?) ahaha)

I'm happy to say that I have listened to most of the songs that you suggested! The solo in you're right is absolute perfection! I love how they have such a wide range of songs and sounds and somehow they suit them all! I've heard some of the solo songs (I am emotionally attached to the intro of domino), but I will definitely listen to the rest of them!

I don't know if I'm weird for doing this, but when I watch vids of them I can't help but wonder what they'd be like as my brothers lol. yes i'm so excited to see them live but also a bit sad as the show i'm going to is the last on their tour and i've heard from other walwals who went to recent tours that they seemed pretty tired :( like wonsang would look exhausted but still put on a bright smile when a new song started.... i rly hope they're able to rest a bit before the show but if not i'm sure they'll be able to rest back home <3

actually an ex-friend of mine got me into them. originally i think she showed me flowering but that wasn't enough for me to stan them. what got me was snooze/play because i stanned right when play came out. i still cry when i hear play lol. idk why i didn't stan just cause of flowering?? to this day i feel like i have to be in the right mood to listen to it, its never been a favourite of mine in lucy's discography but i do appreciate it. i've also watched Superband for lucy and god wonsang is such a genius, watching it probably tripled my respect for him :( the way he arranged everything and made lucy unique from the other bands there by adding ambient noise to their covers and then eventually their original songs just gets me every time 😭 i love him (i'm so subtle abt the bias aren't i?)

yechan is so impressive!! he's also part of the reason that i was especially interested after my friend showed me some stuff because yechan is classically trained and before kpop i was always into classical music because of my dad. i played piano (mostly bach & scarlatti) so i loved seeing a band that incorporated a more classical instrument into a band setting.

THIS tbh like how is sangyeop real hes literally such a sweetheart and HIS VOICE. his personality offstage and his charisma on stage genuinely makes my mind spin. idk if you've seen the live performance of never in vain in particular but istg he was on something that day 🧍‍♀️ and i did not survive it lol

wonsang is literally insane... i love everything about him, his talent, his personality, his adorable little laugh. he's not real like i'm convinced i made him up cause NO WAY. even his singing voice is so nice and cute :( if you go to his instagram he has a lot of short little covers on there too and i just.... yeah he's really insane god. (also would recommend you watch the live clip of enough because wonsang plays a double bass in that and i may be very in love with him....)

lmao i had no other way to even describe it other than boomer 😭😭 he's just got an old soul and i feel him so much. but i swear he is so underrated in the group :( seeing him on Superband, he originally auditioned as a vocalist and could play guitar as well. and throughout the show he played bass, keys, and eventually landed on drums because the team needed a drummer and he had a tiny bit of past experience. the fact that hes the drummer for the team now is ???? and he sings and plays the drums at the same time LIKE THATS SO FUCKING HARD TO DO MY RESPECT FOR HIM IS INSANE.

you're right is one of my favourite lucy songs of all time.... i'm really hoping they'll perform it live but not sure if ill get lucky enough lol 😭 i've seen some of the setlists for the other shows but they switch up some songs so i really have no idea what they're going to perform... i'd honestly just say sit down and put their entire discography on in order or repeat and just... enjoy. cause they just have SUCH good music its insane. they're honestly my comfort group in kpop whether its content or music, i just feel so close to them :( so whenever i feel like i need to cry/feel sad/cheer up i'm always watching live stages. i love the ones on their channel from concerts because they put the lyrics too so i can feel extra emo and also appreciate the songs so much more lmao

i entirely get that omg.... i always wanted like a brother who was rly musically oriented like me (i do technically have one but he's 10 yrs older than me and hasn't lived in the same house as me since i was 5 so that's a no-go, my other brothers closer to my age never picked up an instrument lol) and i feel that with lucy. like they'd be so much fun, when i watch them playing games they just look like they have such a good time.

and if you ever are interested in watching superband (would recommend it if you like band music, it's great and not as toxic and competitive as other survival shows. the panel of judges was great too, including suhyun from akmu who i adore) i have the google drive with all episodes subbed <3 there are some legendary lucy performances on there and some of my other favourite band men (mainly ha hyunsang who has the best voice ever. he performed viva la vida in a team with yechan during the first round and they're still friends to this day i believe. sometimes they perform the song again lol their arrangement was so good and hyunsang's voice was just perfect for it)

Hi!! I dont know where else to go but im suspecting i may be on the schizo spectrum? Or at least just wondering way too hard. And i have no where to look into more trustworthy specifics besides brief nformation about the common disorders (that i dont really think i fit into at all btw but then again im undiagnosed with everything so im forced to rawdog it and come to conclusions on my own) and no where to find information about specific symptoms that can be overlooked as "normal behavior"

I have psychosis and its been like this since 2018, slowly growing, getting more intense i guess especially during a traumatic event that happened a few years ago *really* increased my delusions. Thats the only primary thing i experience i believe, but now looking back i am unsure if i experience some level of hallucinations as well like thinking im seeing flies n such fly around me trying to bother me or bugs crawling near me in the corner of my eye. Though it may be because im sleepy or something as i like to stay up a lot! And maybe because ive dealt with annoying flies one too many times that im just paranoid abt dealing w them now.

this thought has been on my mind for a while (mainly speaking in terms of hallucinations) but recently i saw a post on twitter about someone asking if other people "have intense fear of monsters or the dark" before going into deph about how her brain is constantly afraid of her life will turn into a horror movie. Like "what if a zombie breaks into my house" and her brain imagining scary scenarios that genuinely terrify her when she does anything. And reading that sounds very familar to something ive experienced even to this day, esp if im alone at night or alone n looking into another room thats dimly lit.

I really do understand her fear of closing her eyes n seeing scary scenarios. Ive noticed ive weirdly been seeing stuff too, mainly faces and eyes that i would see when watching analog horror and it *really* terrifies me and makes me think that ive somehow spawned it in real life (esp if i think about it too much)

Sorry if this is too long. I normally do this when im rly stumped abt whatever brain thing i got n no google search can help me. I guess im just lookimg for some insight. Thanks! <3

Hi there anon! I'm glad you're reaching out, and I hope I can help you a little on your way!

What you're describing, intense fear of hypothetical scenarios and "closed eye hallucinations" are both things that I can definitely relate to as constants in my life. I don't have enough information from just this ask to say whether your experiences are full blown delusional/psychotic, but regardless, it sounds like it's taking a toll on you, and have been getting worse. It's common for this type of experience to worsen with stress, so it's no wonder it worsened when you were going through something traumatic.

When I first talked to a psychiatrist about some of my beliefs, they wrote something that I later found kind of interesting, that some of my beliefs were like those of a scared child. As if I had never quite learned how to regulate that type of fear and my imagination would get the better of me. I don't know if your experience is anything like that, but from the way you described it, I thought that might be relatable to you.

The line between fear, anxiety and psychosis can be hard to define. One thing I've learned is that most people with "pure anxiety" are not having anxiety about bizarre or paranoid things, but about more mundane matters that have been blown out of proportion. But obviously there's variability. But I remember when I met my partner of now... 9 years ...? I wasn't diagnosed with anything yet, and we were both like "yeah I have anxiety" and thought we knew what the other meant by that. And then they were confused when I was like "yeah I'm anxious that the spirit of the lamp will steal my soul, and that people are putting poisoned coins in public spaces". But like the anxiety was similar, it's just that the things I was anxious about were odd, I guess.

Anyways, I'm rambling, sorry!

About the images you get when you close your eyes, that is most often described as a type of intrusive thought, and I've also heard people call them "closed eye hallucinations". I get icky and scary images like this sometimes, and it can be really distressing.

I hope your symptoms don't get worse, and I hope you can feel at ease knowing that no matter the exact cause or name, you are definitely not alone with having these experiences, and they are common experiences for people on the schizospec and people with some other related difficulties.

And if you find that you relate to the schizospec experience, there's space enough for everyone, and you are welcome here. Even if you don't fit any specific disorders or you conclude that your symptoms are "sub-clinical" or more related to something else, I believe in an open door policy and I think anyone with this type of experience can benefit from spending time in/with the community, and can bring unique insights to the table themselves.

I don't know if I'm making any sense, I'm super tired today, but yeah that's my two cents I guess ^^

Edit: It might give you some insight to look into other symptoms associated with the schizo-spec, like negative symptoms, cognitive symptoms and ipseity disturbances :) I think that will give you a stronger idea of whether you are likely to relate to most of us 🌼

2x13 the set up- we meet when he visits the office to apply to be ron's assistant. after ron declines, jean hangs around tom/leslie's office a bit bc he's bored or whatever. i go in to get smth from leslie's part of the office and tom introduces us n we meet 🤝🤝 he's prob instantly intrigued by me bc i look #cool with my dyed hair. and i think he's Just Some Guy DKSNHS. heprobably thinks i'm cute or whateverrrr 🙄🙄

between 2x13 to 2x23 we'd see a bit of each other. he likes to stop by the office n chat with tom and since i'm at the office a lot we'd see e/o. perhaps he asks tom if i'm around (he def does this more in s3) bc he wants to see me (but he doesn't say that) ,, anyways. between these 10 eps we'd approach almost-kindasorta-friend status.

2x23 the master plan - tom would rope me in with him & jean to help set up april's birthday party at the snakehole lounge. yk jean doesn't rly help w anything wGKSN but he def hangs around me (follows me like a puppy lol) and talks to me (annoys me). during this ep jean's constantly flirting with april (which she only lets slide bc she wants to make andy jealous) but i think he wouldn't even be into her. methinks he perhaps is already crushing on me (or at least is already into me and wants to know me better ykwim. which is gona take a while bc i <3 being mysterious and i'm so bad at talking to ppl and only answer when someone directly asks me things. #autism #oppositesattract #slowburn) but he feels he might not have a shot with me so he flirts w her to keep his mind off me idk whateverrr (⬅ lore i've thought of for a year but never added here for whatever reason). i find them being together so much odd but i just shrug it off like Ok. that's a thing i guess. anyways hbd april <3 fsNHS. anywaysanyways whenever he's away from her he's trying to find me (i am easy to find. partly bc dyed hair also i would just be by the bar or hanging awkwardly around ppl i know like a lost child) so we can talk more. uhmm yeah.

3x9 andy & april's wedding - at this point ! we're friends. yay. uhm not much to say here for this ep. jean visits andy n aprils wedding to help tom make a best man speech and they prob consult me on it (for whatever reason idk) and i'm just like 'oh wow that's Awful. Please use it' fSHNK and then we're all bummed when tom doesn't get time to say his speech. wish i had more to say for this ep uhh me and him just hang in the kitchen watching the wedding c: when mouse rat starts performing and everyone starts coupling up and dancing he prob drags me to dance with him (i'm the closest person to him it doesn't mean anything) (also he still does this even tho i'm like umm actually lets Not do that 😀-) (i overthink it and get confused bc some ppl are dancing slowly so i'm just . ??? and place my hands on his shoulders and he laughs and is like nooo no not that kind of dancing and i want to explode)

3x13 the fight (my 2nd fav ep wooo) - we're closer friends atp :33 i'm sitting w tom at a table and jean comes over to chat. during this ep jean constantly makes raps with ppl's names but just can't end them on a rhyme, so. Obviously. he tries to make one out of my name. he fails miserably and i'm like "....well i do have two first names, so you can try one with 'reyes'. ykno, maybe you can redeem yourself" and he does and fails again and me and tom are like "that's worse... How is that Worse" WKEHSJG. i feel like at some point i'd just be vibing by myself at a booth and he comes over n talks to me. everyone in this ep is so Out There (mainly cus they're drunk lol) and i'm just very To Myself (just in general but esp so at a club. which is not my normal environment-) and he tries to get me to have fun/be outgoing. 100% he drags me to the dancefloor (despite me saying i do not want to do that. also he clarifies he doesn't mean dance as in slow dance and he makes fun of me for trying to slow dance with him that one time and i'm just like '😐😐🙄🙄 Can you Shut Up. i hate you' but he just finds it funny) . also i just realized i would have to not only deal w everyone being drunk (i'm the only sober one along w chris and donna) but i'd have to deal w jean being drunk.. and he's a sad drunk (or at least with snakejuice he is)... g-dwjgsdhj. i'm just sitting at the bar on my phone and he comes up like heyyy *insert stupid nickname he makes up for me here* my man hows it going and we chat which quickly turns into him just randomly discussing abt his parents unhappy marriage and how he's secretly insecure and feels so lonely etc KWGNSJD and then i'm just stuck with him. i can't be bothered to write anymore but i def comfort him it's just a tad awkward (for me). idk if he'd even remember it bc of how drunk he is but if he does he'd appreciate it. i'd tell donna (who drives everyone who's drunk home) to text me when she gets him home and the next day i'd text him saying i hope he's feeling better. or whatever. omg idc

3x16 li'l sebastian - so during this ep jean tries to convince tom to join him and create entertainment 720 (multimedia conglomerate... they literally do the same stuff as waystar royco, but they don't Actually do it cus they're so bad at their jobs lmao), while also working on the memorial for li'l sebastian together. i would be helping them w the video presentation that happens later that night (i'd also help with smaller stuff for preparing the memorial). tom is off discussing plans with someone else and while jean and i work he talks abt entertainment 720, and how they'd need video editors and suggests i could work w them. i say i'm totally down for it and that it sounds fun and at the end of the episode when they create the company i work there with/for them :3

e720 era is very short lived but i have sm thoughts..... but i don't feel like typing them all out rn wsHN basically during e720 we're besties and also mutual pining era begins (for me at least) hehe

4x6 end of the world (aka my fav ep hehe) - this is the ep where Unfortunately e720 dies wHKSNG, bUT on the bright side it is also the ep where we become canon <3 at some point during the party jean texts lucy (tom's ex) to come to the party and they both reconcile/it's implied they get back together. i feel like after he sort of sets them up he decides he wants to confess to me. edit!: i believe the marching band bit is after the tomlucy stuff.....and during the marching band bit jean wears a pink/black uniform ..which are my favorite colors (and literally my hair color) 🤨🤨he could not be any less subtle (but i'm so oblivious i don't even think twice abt it.. i'm just like oh haha what a coincidence :D).....ok anyways. i'm hiding away in the pirate ship bouncy castle, just like.. in a corner on my phone. vibing. (<- one thing about me is i will be in a corner at a party) he eventually finds me and we just sit together talking. i go on a tangent about thanking him and tom for this opportunity and how fun it was to work w them (even tho they barely worked lmao) and get closer w them and blah blah blah. he's quiet during this but it's not like a bad quiet. like he's just rly listening. when i finally shut up he agrees w like. everything i said and just adds onto it. he says he really enjoyed my company and i'm like yeah :> same here and there's just a silence (tension? 🤔) for a min while we just sit together skhDNG i start to talk abt smth and he just. kisses me. and i'm frozen wsDKH he thinks my reaction is negative so he starts to apologize so i'm like ??!?!?! i'm trying to talk but i can't get the words out (i am v awkward lol) but eventually i do and i'm like "!???!
