Fear does not come from God, so we should want no parts of it and rather keep in mind that God is our confidence!!!!!

As the New Year rolled around, I thought and prayed what word and verse would come to mind that I could hold onto this year; gradually “discipline” and 2 Timothy 1:7 rested on my heart. And as I think about the progression of 2018, I entered the year with the hope of 2017 flowing over and running out once I lost my grandfather. From there, the rest of the year came with questioning and doubting and struggling, a few brave moments, and some disappointments. Unfortunately 2018 never lived up 2017. But now I’m looking head on into another year with the uncertainty of what is to come and hundreds of worries trailing behind, trying to reconcile the hardships of 2018 with a brand new year. And while I have zero control over what happens around me, this word “discipline” reminds me that I’ve got to put in the effort to do the dirty work and change my attitude, perspective, and thoughts so new life in me can grow. And even though I feel too weak to try, it’s not my own strength I will rely on in 2019. #TeamQuaden trending reminds me of when I was bullied during 1st to 4th grade. Glad to have had a nurturing home to run to after school... 🏡 This is a different light from what's currently on focus (awareness against bullying): but I look back reassured that through those traumatising yrs... I gained significantly by not allowing angst, revenge, loss of complete trust on who/what I shouldn't, to overpower my decisions... I would've missed out on peace, & meaningful, genuine, relationships I now have.🕯️ Character building prepared me for a purpose, & for the worst ---though I'm still on a vast learning journey. 🛤️ Little did I know, the MOST HEARTLESS BULLIES would be adults... the same people I/my loved ones went out their way to help, when few / nobody bothered to extend support to. 💔 [ Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good..." ] How all the more torturous it would be to move in hate. Before I left 🇵🇭, my Dad said (as I complained why he's shown grace to certain deceitful people)... "Arky. We are Christians. Mas OK pa that they do something wrong to you, than you're the one to deliberately do what's wrong..." 🛑 I'm still on my way to having that level of sound mind. #2Timothy1v7 It's a constant surrender [for God to do the rest as I decide] to STOP being derailed by bitterness --even when others have Intended harm. #Freedom This song just does it for me. Oh oh oh... Thankfully, the new boundaries have been drawn with the widest sharpie known. The rules have changed because the dynamics changed. But it didn't happen easily. A particular incident left me so devastated that I was frazzled. My mind was so worn from so many other past events and I couldn't believe how powerless I felt. Kodak: Audris, powerless. "Girl, what did you minister to others in similar situations?" That was the question I had asked myself. The words couldn't come to me. My friends were so amazing and worked hard to get me to see that I am still Audris. Yet, my mind focused on social stigmas—and them. I had a battle ahead and no clue how I would confront it. I saw the devil in my dreams, but I never knew that I would face that bastard in my waking day. A couple of days after my home was cleared, an angel met me in the strangest place. She hugged me and prayed over me until I calmed down and stood upright. "You are going to walk out of this office with His power and you are going to use that gift God put in you. Ok?" Everyone was put into his or her own place and the dust has been shaken from my feet. "I wipe my wounds clean/but I swear they smell the blood on me." Surely who the Lord sets free is free indeed and the darkness will always be filled with wolves seeking for a moment to pounce upon their prey. However, that liberty comes with the wisdom to not study or focus on the darkness. Mind the light. Mind The Light. Accept peace.
