ゲーム友達を探す方法

本記事執筆の動機

筆者は最近Apex LegendsやVALORANT等のFPSゲームを頻繁にプレイしている。 カジュアルに遊んでいるうちはあまり気にしていなかったのだが、最近ランクマッチをプレイするようになって、あることに気づいた。

オンライン対戦FPSのランクマッチを一人で回すのは苦行である

ランクマッチを一人で回すことの難しさには、下記が挙げられる。

十分な意思疎通が取れず、連携した動きが取れない

対戦型FPSは大概の場合チーム戦を想定した設計となっており、味方との連携が勝利のカギとなる。そのため、VALORANTのようなFPSではボイスチャット機能を��装することで、他のプレイヤーとのコミュニケ��ションを促進している。 一方、現実には多くのプレイヤーがボイスチャットを使用せず、無言でプレイすることが多く、結果複雑な動きや、とっさの判断に齟齬が生じることが多い。

安定した戦績を得ることが難しい

基本的に、FPSのマッチングは一定の範囲で実力が近しいとゲームが判断したメンバーで行われる。"一定の範囲で実力が近しい"は、多くの場合に近しくはなく、時間帯の影響等によって、実力にばらつきが��生する。 そのため、一人でゲームをプレイすると、とんでもなく弱い野良を引き当てたり、トロール (わざと敗北するプレイヤー)の被害にあったりする。 友達とプレイしていれば、被害にあう確率を減らせる。

メンタルの維持

殆どのFPSタイトルは、ランクマッチで連敗するタイミングがある。 単純に負けが込むこともあれば、先述のトロール等害悪プレイヤーを立て続けに引き当ててしまうこともある。 ソロプレイの最大の問題は、このような連敗を喫した時に、心が折れてしまうことである。

このような、ソロプレイの苦行に耐えかねているプレイヤーは結構多いのでは？と思い、本記事ではゲーム友達を作る方法をいくつか紹介する。

1. リア友と遊ぶ

最もシンプルな方法で、リアルの友達と一緒にランクマッチを回す方法である。可能ならこれが一番手軽な方法である。 最大の問題は、

そもそもリアルで友達がいない場合、詰む

友達がゲームにあまり親しみがない場合、ランク制限にひっかかり遊べないケースがある

の2点であろうか。 前者は単に友達がいない場合もあるだろうが、友達の仕事が忙しかったり、結婚などのライフステージの変化でゲームに時間が割けなくなることも含まれる。 後者は、ほとんどのゲームがランクマッチのパーティーを組む際に、ランクが離れたメンバー同士のマッチングを禁止しているため、友達が初心者の場合ランクマッチを一緒に遊ぶのは難しくなるだろう。

2. X (旧Twitter)で募集する

Twitter上でゲーム友達を探す方法もある。 ゲームタイトル+募集のキーワードで検索すると、ゲーム友達を求める募集ツイートがたくさん見つかるはず。

ただし、作り立てのフォロワーが少ないアカウント/捨て垢はしばしば忌避される傾向があったり、募集といっても内輪 (フォロワー)の中でしか参加を受け付けていなかったりするため、Twitterアカウントの育成が必要となり、それなりの手間がかかるかもしれない。

3. Discordサーバーに参加する

Disboard等のDiscord掲示板を経由して、友達を探す方法もある。 ゲームタイトルで検索すれば、目的に沿ったDiscordサーバーが見つかるはず。 一方、すでにコミュニティが出来上がっているサーバーに後から入ることになり、どんな人がどんな遊び方をしているかが見えづらいため、心理的なハードルは結構高いかも。

4. ゲーム友達募集サイトを使う

ゲームの攻略掲示板や、まとめサイトのコメント欄でもしばしばゲーム友達募集投稿が行われている。 最近は専用のサイトも出てきており、例えばこちらのPartiboというサイトでゲーム友達の募集が可能である。

ゲーム友達を探すならPartibo! - コーチング販売も募集中

Partiboは個人的におすすめのサイトで、ゲームタイトルで絞り込んで友達を探して、マッチングが成立すると募集者に応募者のDiscordかLINEのIDが通知される仕組みとなっている。スケジュールを指定して募集をかけたり、応募することもできるので、ゲーム時間が限られる社会人にもおすすめのサイトとなっている。コーチングの出品/購入もできるらしい。

まとめ

よく、「野良は地獄」「パーティーはいいよな」等の言説が見られるが、いろいろな方法で友達を探すことはできる。 筆者も最近パーティーでプレイするようになってから、2Tierほどランクが上がった。是非最高のゲーム友達を探してみてほしい。
