[I'm currently in Georgia, so have some facts about German-Georgian relations]
German-Georgian relations refer to diplomatic, economic and cultural ties between Germany and Georgia, which have been developing for several centuries. Germany declared the independence of the Georgian Democratic Republic after World War I and was one of the first countries to recognize the newly formed state in 1918, making it a protectorate of the German Empire. Bilateral relations were interrupted due to the forced annexation of Georgia to the Soviet Union in 1922, but were restored on April 13, 1992 after the collapse of the USSR. Georgia has an embassy in Berlin, and Germany has an embassy in Tbilisi.

I'm gonna be honest with you 2p Italy got too many headcanons so I'm making him his own thing because he's too good for hetalia fanart and kind of has nothing to do with hetalia at this point because I'm having too many thoughts about his background. and schmalgauzen music has been giving me visions with the italian/german/ukrainian/french cabaret and it's now becoming a fictional character

When They See Their S/O Crying (2p!Axis)
Headcanons for how I think the 2p!Hetalia characters would act if they walked in on their S/O crying.
2p!Italy: Luciano isn't the best at dealing with people when they cry. His first instinct is to tell someone to, "just calm down!" He finds it annoying, which is something he'd have to work on when in a relationship. So when he sees your tears he has to pause for a moment to think of an appropriate response. He'd walk forward with a tissue and use that to wipe the tears away. He'll ask you what's wrong, and if you can't answer, he'll sigh and hold you in his arms, rubbing a hand up and down your back. He's trying. And if he finds the one who made you cry, they're as good as dead.
2p!Germany: Almost the opposite of Luciano. When Lutz sees you cry, he immediately grabs a hold of you, hugging you so tightly that you think you'll pop. He'll cuddle up with you on the couch with you laying on his chest, running his fingers through your hair, with the other hand resting on the small of your back. You'll lay like this for a while, him letting you cry it out into his shirt until you're ready to talk. Also, chances are he's not letting you go for a long time after the two of you start cuddling, so you better get comfortable.
2p!Japan: You think Luciano is quick to resort to violence when he sees his beloved cry? Wait until Kuro sees your tears. He'll walk forward and take your face in his hands, demanding to know who put you in this state. If you tell him right then and there, he'll whip out his katana and head out the door, telling you, "I'll be back." If not, he'll be a little more demanding, insisting to know who it was. But if you're crying hard enough, he'll instead make you some tea and allow you to rest on his shoulder. However, as soon as you're in a place where you can tell him what happened, he's walking out the front door with the katana, and won't come back until late that night.
2p!Prussia: Despite fighting as a Teutonic Knight, Gillen is a fairly gentle person at heart, so seeing you crying hurts him just as much as it does you. He'll tenderly hold your face in his hands, wiping away your tears with his thumb, and asking you, "Liebe, what happened?" In the softest voice you've ever heard. If you cannot answer him, he'll hold you close and shush your cries, whispering comforting words into your ear in German. After all is said and done, and you're done talking it out, he'll recommend the two of you take a walk together to get your mind off of things, holding your hand the entire time.
2p!Romano: Flavio will be someone to quickly direct you to the couch and sit down beside you, arm around your shoulders as he lets you cry it out. He'd give you little kisses on the side of the head as you sob into his shoulder, holding your hand tight. When you get yourself together he'd go and prepare some coffee for you two (or cocoa if that's what you prefer) and will take the time to sit down and talk through the issue.

Round Goes the Q&A
Hello 2p!Italy! Here's your question.
Question 54: If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- @ask-thelandofsmiles :)))
I'd go with Italian, but that is no interesting answer, and there are no stakes in the long run. So, I'll choose German cuisine instead.
After a few decades spent with Lutz or in Germany for trips, personal or business related, I've grown accustomed to that. So, German, it is.
Next I'll be asking — @ask-aph-hws-iceland

Every now and then I am so angry at the loss of my local community centre.
Up until my early 20s, the local community centre was in an old secondary school - It had been replaced by two others after a new estate had been built, then turned into an Approved School, then finally closed - but still belonging to the local authority, so they turned this 1000-pupil school, with an assembly hall with a stage, two gymnasiums, a dance studio, dozens of classrooms and a canteen, into a massive community centre. This wasn't unique either, there was another one similar to it on the other end of the estate, also in an old school (this time, a Victorian one with no field but a big yard), and one in a purpose-built community centre building, of comparable size, about a mile away, and one in an old drill hall maybe two miles away. But, this one was "ours".
And pretty much everything happened there. Every member of my extended family had *something* that they did there, so there was always a chance of running into some auntie or second-cousin and a bunch of their friends too, so a two-hour evening class might end with us all walking up the road to the workingmen's club for a few pints after.
And it wasn’t just sports clubs either (Though, there were sports clubs, both leagues where you could compete and classes where you could learn), there were things like mother and baby groups, support and befriending groups for various people, amateur dramatics (both to play and regular shows for the public to attend), a pictures club that showed classic films on a huge projector screen, loads of language learning ranging from "Spanish for holidays" via "Hindi for your british-born grandkids to get some immersion" and "German for (Local German tech firm)'s employees who intend to work abroad" to "Classical Kurmanji for poets", straightforward further education and night classes where you could learn typing or carpentry or study for your A-Levels... Basically, because the building was vast and already owned by the council for the good of the people living on the estate, it didn't cost much to rent a room for an hour a week and run a club, so all sorts of people would do it. There were the stalwarts that always ran (Children's tap dancing, football, karate, photography, knitting circle) but effectively anyone with £12 per week to spare could hire a room for an hour, run off some posters on the photocopier (2p per page, 5p colour) and have a club - And since it was all in one place, people would read the poster on the signboard and already know where the club was and how to get there - In fact, if they were already here at 5 for Watercolour For Beginners, there was no real reason NOT to hang around for half an hour afterwards, get a coffee in the cafe, then try out Labyrinthine Meditation at 7. All the classes were cheap (the most shocking expensive one was black-and-white photography, at £3.50 a session, because you had to chip in for the chemicals to develop your films and print your prints, and they had sole use of a store cupboard as a darkroom) and so was the cafe and the very small lounge bar.
I moved away pushing 20 years ago and I miss it to pieces, and now it's closed down and the land has been sold off to develop into flats. And the people living there won't have it, and the town I live in now doesn't have anything like it, our village hall is a single room and it sold its cricket pitch decades ago. And with just one room there is a lot more pressure on only having the most popular clubs run, the ones guaranteed to run for 12-week terms with at least 15 participants per session, with "broad appeal".
I just wish there were still more of these in the UK. We have lost a whole lot in losing it, and it remained popular right up to closure... But local authorities are skint and land isn't cheap and maintaining these mid-century buildings that are either falling apart or full of asbestos is expensive.
But think how different our queer culture could be, if this kind of place still existed commonly and universally all over the country!

Crym and Punishment Sometimes murder is allowed as a treat. (Not for you though, peasant)
Nobody knows who Crym is so just pretend she's 2P and call this piece 2Crime 2Punishment... Incidentally a good alternate name for Yorda Hark Adopadypse
There's this funny thing about Y:DA that plagues my mind ever since I noticed it. I won't go into their context, but there are several nods and references to CrimePun in Y:DA like for starters
Konogg distracts the player with a silver watch just like Raskolnikov before he murders a woman
Glagg grows delirious and paranoid after his 'perfect plan' causes an unplanned death just like Raskolnikov after he murders a woman's sister
Themes of Social Hierarchies and Atonement
and of course
There is a quest literally called Crime & Punishment
and once you notice that you might start to see certain things about the story that will clear up to you that Yoko Taro is a crazy person wtf wtf wtf. Here? Here out of all places? Right in front of my Quirky Video Game Cross-Over?? Did you really think anybody would take this seriously enough to notice any of this???
And I'm perfectly fine with being that guy who shouts into the void that "actually Y:DA is the best, just read this 15-page essay I wrote about how this thing and this thing actually reference a book you don't care about and then three jumps of moon logic later we find ourselves discussing the social mobility of minorities and video games as an art form because I guess that's my life now" only to be told "Bro, It's not that deep" - There is just one problem:
The quest is not called "Crime & Punishment" in Japanese. It's vaguely resembling it in a "X and Y" scheme, but as far as I can tell (using google) it's only called Crime and Punishment in English and German (not in French though) which means my case for "this is defo on purpose" - the only metric of good writing besides "did i like it" - is relying on interpreting a piece of media, which as we all know is not a thing you do with video games.
This situation however also means that one of the following has to be true:
YT meant to do all these CrimePun references and expected people to pick up on them without namedropping the book and the Eng & Ger Localisations knew that (bc of translation notes or something like that) and added a direct reference bc the original quest name was similar anyways.
YT didn't mean to do that and the Eng & Ger Localisations either on their own or together realized that Y:DA had parallels to the book and decided to write CrimePun references into this quest line on their own.
This is just a massive coincidence and everybody involved referenced themes and details of a book that was then also mentioned in two seperate translations by name purely on accident.
Needless to say it's definitely the last one which makes me boo boo the fool as we all know Yoko Taro is a loser and has never used subtext in his life. But if I were ever able to ask him and/or the localisation (who kind of have to know bc they translated it) anything, I would ask them if Y:DA is referencing this book on purpose or not... (YT wouldn't answer that and laugh at me. And then he would call the cops to get me out of his house.)
Anyways, some final notes:
For the background I painted over a woodcut print of the Pulkovo Observatory bc I was lazy and backgrounds are hard. I will accept the withdrawal of my 'Mediocre Art Hobbyist' card for the sin of not being a real artist
Crym's outfit is supposed to resemble Raskolnikov's with his stupid little hat, but we all know that guy's clothes would not color match
....i am indeed actively working on a y:da video essay... i'm sorry in advance... i don't even care about anybody watching it i just want to talk about my favorite piece of video game ever (yes it has gotten that bad please call help)

I read about Austria's character sheet, can you demonstrate how he threw the chair to the windows, is it out of rage bc Luciano was stealing his thunder or was it for the clout or FUCKING BOTH
BOTH!
The loud cries and curses of warriors locked in battle accompanied by the cracking of wood and bones were common noises in the Schwarze Welt Hotel. What wasn’t so common was the classic rock rifts that flittered between the briefest lulls of conflict.
Within its rebellious cords was a loud, proud, German-accented voice singing his curses about the unfairness of being a 2p. Especially an Austrian 2p.
No one paid Jon much mind as he sang, too busy with their own contest of strength, except to either throw the occasional insult or object his way.
Before the black-haired Jon could feel even a shred of frustration from the lack luster attention and sing another verse. A loud yell of “SILENZIO!” paused the room like an awkward, frozen, Disney, animation frame.
All eyes, even Jon’s, were now on Luciano as he stood in front of the staged podium. A snarled smile split his tan face as three knives sat interlaced in the fingers of his gloved left hand. “You-a idiots all sita down NOW!”
When no one moved to follow Luciano’s order, his smile grew as he flicked his wrist. Sending the sliver blades flying like Aries’ birds.
Gasps of pain and the spray of blood from his three unfortunate examples moved many of the nations into their seats. Their eyes remaining on the unstable Mafioso.
All but the Austrian 2p named Jon. His vampiric teeth ground at the loss of his audience. Red eyes full of hot ire as they danced around the calming crowd.
“Austria~” Purred Luciano, his former charge. “Sita down or else.”
Jon’s furious red met Luciano’s cocky magenta before slowly lifting into mischievous bloody half-moons.
“I can’t” Jon grabbed his chair with tight fists. Before lifting and hurling it like an Olympian with a shot put. Shattering an innocent glass window and sending the chair down many floors. “Unfortunately, I have no chair. There is nowhere to sit mein Arsch”
All were stunned by the wannabe vampire, listening to the sound of sirens and brief screams from the confusion stories below.
Slowly, chuckles started to rise like a returning tide before they became a tsunami of laughter. All while Luciano only shook his head in disappointment at his former tormentor.
“Then sita on the floor.”

Another colour - Prologue
"The life. What a beautiful thing! You can feel, experience, decide! Of course if you're on it's good side. We don't mean it in a peasant-noble relation, the thing is with the universe. Like the basic universe. With basic nations, who don't must to behave for a higher dictator, beacuse the universe is stabil and still. It's 1P!.They say, basic countries have an opposite. Let's just call it 2 Personality or 2P!. These 2 Personalities growing parallely with their pair, but their will and personality is different. Therefore, they must do the important decides and events that the 1P!-s, or their bonds will start breaking. Now the 2P!-s started to make own decisions, and avoid what the basic universe did. That's why the bonds between the two universe started to break, and the universe slowly dissapeares. That's beacuse of the parallel-rule. The parallel-rule means a copy of actions, for example America and Russia fought with each other in the Cold War, so 2P! America and 2P! Russia must fought in the Cold War. There are other universes, like Nyotalia, but those don't have such strong bonds as 2P!, and that's the reason why's 2P! universe is similar to 1P!"
That's what 2P! Italy thought, who we will call Luciano Vargas from now. He don't want to get lost and being in the nothing, or just not exist. He and his brother, Flavio Vargas, started recruit countries to an organization, named Alleanza Axis. Their first goal was to made the Axis Powers again. Japan, Honda Kuro'd be for the eastern, Germany, Lutz Beilschmidt'd be responsible for the european recruits. The two italian just show up, when one of their allies fails. Anyways, they just speak with other nations.
-Do you think we can get Lutz? - Luciano asked his brother. The blonde, bespectacled italian just made his hair perfect, the sunny weather doesn't bothered his white trouser and buttoned shirt that covers his pink T-shirt. A scarf was around his neck, and his shoes shined brown.
-Haven't you called him Lutzie before? - Flavio stopped brushing, and looked at his brother, at his military outfit and head which had a black general hat on. The black boots and gloves just made him even morely like a fascist general.
-Do you think, I still am a flattering dick? - The words were sharp.
-Oh,of course not brother! Just from 1939 till 45! Then you stood up to your own legs, and impressed even me too. - The blonde teased.
-Should I agree with you, or hit your face?- He asked.
- The decide is only in your hands~- They arrived to Germany. Luciano calmly stepped front of the ringer, but knocked. No response.
-Knock-knock,Lutzie! Your dear italian, Luci, arrived! - The brown haired was kinda mad, but he knew thet Prussia lives here too. It's the time to tease Flavi a bit.
- Did you forget Klaus? Though you flattered to him so much. - He said with a strong voice.Lutz opened the door, behind him stood his brother quietly.
-If it's another partisan beater action, I'm in. - Said the german. Under his left eye was a huge scar. His combed back blonde hair was covered by a hat. His jacket hanged on his shoulder, so his white athlete seemed. He wore black military trousers and boots.
-Now, the problem is with not us, but with our universe. - Flavio cleared the theme for them.
-Excuse me? - Asked Lutz, while he and Klaus came out to the italians.- I think, you shouldn't watch any more american horror.
-We have bonds with our white pairs, and those bonds are started to break, so our world will soon dissapear. - Summarized the brown haired. - We want to make an organization and you are the first to needed.- He looked up on the germans. The height difference didn't scared him. He knows Lutz enough to influence him. So it only added to his confidence.Lutz and Klaus looked at each other and nodded.
-Understanded! - Luciano knew it will be succesfull. Since Lutz is like his puppy.
-Nice. - He turned to his brother. - Please, go with Klaus, and get England, while I and Lutz go to Japan. - He instructed them.
-Okay, okay boss,we know you missed the sadistic wild man, but bye bye, then we leave! - Flavio grabbed the arm of the prussian, and they dashed front of west. Klaus' crossed-pattern cloak and braided hair floated beacuse of Flavio's speed. Gilbird just flied next them. With his boots, he only beated the dry mud.
-Your brother is kinda energetic. So you actually missed me? - They started going to Japan's house.
-Yep. - Luciano flattered a bit. - I got used to the name Axis.-I haven't heard of Japan for a long time. - Luciano placed his hands on his nape.
- What do you think, how much will it be difficult to get Japan back?
-He is a stubborn wanker, I have to say. But I think, he would like to unite again. Even if you count in many other nations too. - Italy nodded. - And you will be the leader.
-Who else? Continue, I want to hear how you remember me.
-The head of the organization, us, Axis Powers will be. That's the reason you're sure that Japan is obtainable. - Luciano smiled. - I think I remember correctly.
-Oh yes. Do I became so visible?
-Just logical. - Lutz made a tiny, but proud smile too.
-So I wasn't that before, thanks. - He played with the words.
-Well not really. In the Second World War you barely helped with anything. - That was offensive to the italian.
-That was only beacuse of my white pair! - The german went to the italian's nerves, so he chuckled.
-Of course you put all the fails on that Feliciano guy. - Germany actually grined now.
-Oh, so that's the case. Just don't forget my plans was the key to the success. - They teased, but Luciano enjoys these situations. When he must improvize he relys on his instinct, even in serious moments. But his allies need a bit time.
They arrived to the eastern nation. The italian thought of how could he get Japan out of the house. At the end, he decided just to speak.
-Hello Japan! The Axis is here again. - No response.
-Well then, we go in! - He streched for his pocketknife. Germany searched for a weapon too."Japan is strong, and doesn't really like when he's bothered" Italy knew. He liked his eastern ally, but Kuro was still disturbing for him. He haven't showed this out though.
The house was silent. It is clean, but empty. Kuro knew they will come, he felt the falling of the world after all. Anyways, hist timing must be good, otherwise Italy and Germany will win, and he won't tolerate that! Luciano is more dangerous, he will be the first to eliminate. The german isn't that big deal, especially if he's alone.
Japan heard the steps from the anteroom. They were silent, but not mute. Kuro has a two bunked house, and he waited at the stairs to attack. Luciano has felt the trouble. He stood with his back towards the stairs, and Lutz opposite to the stairs. Italy gave him his knife, for himself he got a dagger.
The japanese jumped forward. Germany averted the cutting, then sepped back from the fight scene.
-What's that, Japan? Have you missed the training?- He was happy he finally could see Kuro.
-I missed it, but you I didn't. - He said. -Let's see how you improved, Italy! -He gripped the katana's hilt.
-I'd be happy! - Responsed the brown haired while he started attacking. Fortunately, he learned how to fight without the syncron between his moves and voices.Japan countered and tried to cut. Luciano just dodged. He has no chance against the katana alone. Then they started it again, the only difference is Italy added himself two more knives.
Germany sneaked to the first floor. He knew Japan has more katanas, which they had trained with. In his room he found it fast. Then he hurried back to help Italy. The guy just jumped another. They didn't looked at each other, that would be too obvious. Instead of it the italian started to step to the wall, so the german can get closer. They both treaded in the japanese's rythm. Lutz wanted to do a fast hit with the katana's side, but Japan was clever.
He knew that the blonde went away, so he payed attention. At some times, when he felt like, he watched over his back. That happened now too, but Germany had enough time and skill to finally attack the black haired man.
-Pretty, but loud. - He criticized the work of the team.-Hah! Got you! - Luciano was malevolent. -Indeed. - He sight. - You became more skilliful. - The red eyepair was still arrogant.
-You felt the anomalies, or? - Lutz started to prepare himself to the leaving.
-Yes. - He collected his weapon. - I will be back in a moment. - He went up with the katana.
-That was nice, Lutz. -Luciano smiled slyly. Then Kuro came back, and they started planning.
-Ah, Klaussi! Why don't you open to anyone? You know, that's only trouble for you! - Romano said Klaus' problems while they went to England. Prussia shrugged.
-Do you want to upgrade your arm? It seems complex. - Thought the blonde. - If it clogs, or anything, it is sure difficult to lead. - He tried to avoid the fashion. But nah, Klaus' long, dry silver hair, the crossed white cloak, what was at his breastplate, and his knee armor and boots deserve a minimalist styled clean robot arm too! Klaus losted his right arm, and a soldier needs both of their arms! Germany made one for him with Romano's help.
-Would be good. - He moved his fingers one by one. - I think an oiling is enough. Flavio usually supported his brother, but with Klaus, he liked to spend the time, so he walked happily next the prussian. However Klaus loved the silent. And around the odd italian he couldn't get that. But he was kinda satisfied, all of the questions got him in the theme.
-Warning, England is dangerous. He put poison into everything ,he wants to kill his victims in a clean way. - He warned the prussian.
-Maybe he poisons himself day by day..-Klaus looked at the soil.
-Hm? - Flavio checked the soil too.
-He confuses the strangers, that the food is tasty, he shows it, and it has no effects on himself. His immun is strong enough.
-Yep. It would be problematic to search for am unpoisoned food among the many poisoned.
-Yeah. - He looked up at the islandcountry's house. Plain gardenhouse with brown treebarrier.
- We are here. The blonde rang and the freckled english came at the door just in the moment. His floured face and apron meant he was baking.
-Oh,welcome, Prussia, Romano! - He stood out of the entrance. - Come in! They stepped in, the bakery scent hit their nose. England leaded them to his kitchentable and sat.
-What do you bake? - Asked Flavio, while he pulled out a chair for himself and one for Klaus.
-Flan cookie, but it takes much time to be ready. But I have cupcakes! - He jumped up from his place, what he occupied a half minute ago.
- Anyways, what brought you? - He asked while searching. It was a bit strange, beacuse Romano saw another tray of cupcakes, but the english haven't brought those.
-If you pay attention, we will tell. - Out of contect, the italian liked the pink upper what covered a light pink shirt. His trousers was black, his shoes were brown, though his favourite were the blues - the eyepair and the tie of the english - on the costume.
-Well, tell me about it. - He spinned back with a tray. Flavio haven't heard of poisoned cookies stories of England in these days,so maybe he'll take one.
-You are an active magic user, I'm sure you felt our world is starting to collapse, aren't you? - He took his eyeglass off.
-Yep, but why bothers it you? We can't force all the nations to do what their pairs doing. Plus I think, we can't open a gate to our white pairs so easily. We're not enough.
-Everyone has a little magical talent, that's like... When your hunchs are right.- Said Klaus. - Romano, Italy, me, Germany, Japan, Norway, Romania, and you, we all have a stronger magical power than the average.
-Yup! - He didn't waited Klaus to over. - This many people can make an open gate at least for a half hour! Is it promising? - The italian winked.
-May be right. However, I don't see we could do it. - He took a cupcake. - For a plan like this, you need all the countries, sillies~
-That's why we came to you. Many nations like you, plus you're a mage. - Argued the prussian.
-Aww, you are so shallow! - He started to get nerved. - What will I get?
-Hmm.. For example you could live in a stabil world Oliver, where you could do anything. Happy people, strong economy... - The first naming. The freckled smiled at the blonde.
-Here am I compeletly satisfied. I don't care how Arthur ruined Great-Britain.-Oliver liked this life. Though, he doesn't want to get lost, a life with regrets is much more repulsive.
-Everything will be the same. We promise you always stay Oliver Kirkland. - Klaus joined.
-You don't leave, until I say okay, am I right? - He sighed. - One condition. - He started smiling sorryly. The prussian and the italian looked calmly.
-Take a cupcake. - He pushed the tray towards them. - We are countries, a bit of cookies doesn't hurt, right? - Indeed doesn't, thought Flavio. But Klaus..Klaus isn't a complete nation now. He may suffer, if he's poisoned.Romano looked at Prussia, who nodded.Flavio took a pink, Klaus choosed a brown.
-Then,good appetit. - They bit into the cookie. Nothing. No side taste, effect just the sweetness.
-How's it taste?
-Delicious. - Flavio said his opinion, Klaus nodded again.
-Than this was a mixed. Ops! - The guests questioningly looked at England.
-Now I started to make mixed trays of poisonous and normal cupcakes. And I got a poisoned one, while you got a sweet cupcake~
-Do you have different versions? - Prussia asked.
-I have sour, salty, bitter, and tasteless. Don't ask, I wanted to try!
-And why did you gave us cupcakes? - He took back his eyeglass.
-I tested your braveness and trustness. So, what should I do to support your plan? - He propped up his chin with his wrist.
-Alleanza Axis. Just recruit the mages amd the western nations.
-Okie-dokie! ~ - Then they went to an other room to talk about the plan and the organization.
Maybe the story went too fast. I have like 5 more chapters, but those include my OC, Magnetica too. Oh, and it's not even close to the end!
@aster-riskite here you go father

What is this blog about? / What is this fandom?
This is a Hetalia askblog, and centers around Lutz who is my interpretation of Himaruya’s canon design of 2P!Germany. Headcanons are liable to change as I continue to develop Lutz as a character.
Do you have a main blog or other social media handles?
Not at this time, but when I do, I will share it on here!
Do you offer commissions?
Not at this time, but I'll update this when I do!
What art program do you use? What is your tablet?
I use Clip Studio Paint, and my tablet is a Wacom Intuos.
Do you mind if your art is used for RP blogs/posted elsewhere?
My artwork may be reposted with credit.
Does Lutz have a 2P name or is Lutz his 2P name?
Lutz is a common German nickname for Ludwig. While Lutz has been coined as 2P!Germany’s name for the sake of differentiation, Lukas is my headcanon name for him.
Where did Lutz's scars come from?

“Unraveling the Quantum Enigma: The Lamb Shift and the Mysterious Fluctuations of the Vacuum”
Introduction
The Lamb shift, also referred to as the Lamb-Retherford phenomenon, embodies a captivating occurrence within the realm of atomic and molecular physics, encompassing the division and expansion of spectral lines attributed to atoms or molecules in a given spectrum. This enthralling shift pays homage to the eminent American physicist, Willis Lamb, and his esteemed German counterpart, Robert Retherford, who diligently undertook pioneering investigations into this enigmatic subject during the 1940s. At its core, the Lamb shift materializes as a result of intricate interactions transpiring between the electromagnetic field and the innate configuration of atoms or molecules.
Under conventional circumstances, one would naturally anticipate the presence of sharp and well-defined spectral lines when considering atoms residing in their fundamental ground state, characterized by the lowest attainable energy level. Alas, the Lamb shift manifests owing to two primary factors of paramount significance:
a. Fine structure: The fine structure phenomenon emerges from the interplay between the intrinsic angular momentum of subatomic particles, particularly electrons, and the compelling electromagnetic field. As a consequence, this engenders subtle splittings in spectral lines that would otherwise remain distinctively singular.
b. Lamb effect: More intriguingly, the Lamb effect specifically alludes to a minuscule and inconspicuous displacement, perceptible in certain electronic transitions of hydrogen-1s atoms. Its serendipitous discovery is owed to the inquisitive mind of Willis Lamb in the illustrious year of 1947, wherein it was noted to yield a negligible modification in the energy levels between 2s and 2p states in hydrogen. This captivating shift ensues due to the intricate electromagnetic interactions transpiring between the electron and the enigmatic quantum vacuum.
The unearthing of the Lamb shift served as a pivotal milestone in the realm of atomic physics, conferring a robust foundation for delving deeper into the intricate interactions binding subatomic particles with the boundless realm of electromagnetism. Its profound implications reverberated in the realm of quantum electrodynamics, wherein it stimulated the formulation and subsequent advancement of this captivating field of study.
This article is divided into the following sections: 1. History and Discovery 2. Empirical Proof 3. Conclusions
1. History and Discovery
The Lamb shift, a momentous revelation in the realm of physics, came to light in 1947, courtesy of the astute American physicist Willis Lamb during his meticulous investigations concerning the fine structure of hydrogen spectral lines. Lamb, engrossed in his scrutiny of the hydrogen atom, comprising a sole proton with an electron orbiting it, delved into the well-established understanding that the electron within the hydrogen atom could inhabit diverse energy levels. When transitioning between these energy levels, the electron would emit or absorb electromagnetic radiation at precise frequencies, thus giving rise to characteristic spectral lines. These lines were conventionally expected to be sharply defined and unambiguous.
However, Lamb and his diligent graduate student Robert Retherford stumbled upon an unexpected enigma during their experimental endeavors. Within the spectral lines, specifically the 2s state in hydrogen, they discerned a curious bifurcation into two minutely disparate frequencies. Though this division was infinitesimal, mere gigahertz distinctions, its precision was within reach of the available technology, prompting Lamb and Retherford to take note.
The serendipitous revelation proved disconcerting as it contradicted the prevailing Dirac theory governing atomic structure and spectral lines. According to Dirac’s tenets, the 2s state and the 2p state of the hydrogen atom ought to possess identical energies, thereby aligning their spectral lines with uniform frequencies. However, empirical observations from Lamb and Retherford’s meticulous experimentation unequivocally negated this supposition.
With relentless determination, Lamb, along with his cohorts, embarked on rigorous investigations and countless experiments. Eventually, they unveiled the profound truth underlying the subtle splitting in the hydrogen 2s state: a result of quantum electrodynamical effects, particularly the intricate interactions transpiring between the electron and the vacuum fluctuations of the electromagnetic field enveloping the atom. Dubbed the Lamb shift, this awe-inspiring revelation stood as a testament to Willis Lamb’s seminal contribution to its discovery.
The ramifications of the Lamb shift were momentous, as it furnished tangible experimental evidence substantiating the existence of quantum fluctuations in the vacuum. Moreover, it underscored the indispensability of integrating quantum electrodynamics into the elucidation of atomic processes. The profound impact extended to the realm of quantum field theory, significantly refining our comprehension of atomic and subatomic phenomena.
In recognition of his groundbreaking work on the Lamb shift and other pioneering contributions to quantum mechanics, Willis Lamb was bestowed with the prestigious Nobel Prize in Physics in 1955, etching his name indelibly in the annals of scientific discovery.
2. Empirical Proof
The groundbreaking experiments that established the Lamb shift stand as a cornerstone of evidence for quantum electrodynamical phenomena and the splintering of energy levels within atomic systems. Willis Lamb, together with his esteemed colleagues, embarked on a meticulous journey of precision spectroscopic measurements focused on the hydrogen atom, which ultimately led to the revelation of the subtle frequency splitting in the 2s state. Let us delve into the crux of these pivotal experiments:
a. Unraveling Hyperfine Structure: At the forefront of their investigation, Lamb and Retherford embarked on spectroscopic measurements known as hyperfine structure analyses, aimed at comprehending the intricacies of the hydrogen atom’s fine structure. The intriguing hyperfine structure emerged from the interaction between the electron’s magnetic moment and the proton in the atomic nucleus, inducing additional spectral line splitting, yielding multiple closely spaced lines for each energy level.
b. Theoretical Postulations: Rooted in the prevailing Dirac theory of quantum mechanics, scholars posited that the 2s state and the 2p state of hydrogen should possess identical energies, implying that their respective spectral lines would manifest at identical frequencies.
c. Unveiling the Elusive Shift: The perspicacious observations of Lamb and Retherford shattered the notion of identical energies, as the 2s state unveiled two distinctive spectral lines rather than one. This revelation pointed to a minute yet discernible splitting of energy levels, with the frequency disparity on the order of gigahertz (GHz), an attainable magnitude thanks to the sophisticated spectroscopic techniques at their disposal.
d. Precision Prowess: Determined to corroborate their profound findings, Lamb and his esteemed collaborators embarked on a series of meticulously designed experiments that showcased improved precision. Employing sophisticated microwave spectroscopy techniques, they measured the frequency of the 2s state transition with unparalleled accuracy, consistently verifying the existence of the Lamb shift and the resultant subtle discrepancy in frequencies.
e. Unraveling the Enigma: The arduous quest to elucidate the Lamb shift’s underpinnings led Lamb and his associates to the realization that this enigmatic phenomenon arose from the intricate interplay between the electron and the ethereal quantum fluctuations enveloping the atom. These elusive vacuum fluctuations engendered a minute shift in energy levels, thus giving rise to the observable frequency splitting.
f. Validation and Acclaim: The epochal discovery of the Lamb shift profoundly influenced the realm of quantum electrodynamics and deepened our comprehension of atomic processes. It bestowed compelling experimental evidence affirming the legitimacy of quantum field theory and the paramount significance of vacuum fluctuations. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the Lamb shift and quantum mechanics, Willis Lamb was bestowed the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1955.
In sum, the laudable experiments conducted by Lamb and his esteemed colleagues played a pivotal role in not only unraveling the Lamb shift but also validating the existence of quantum electrodynamical effects within atomic systems. This seminal discovery continues to serve as a linchpin bolstering our modern understanding of atomic and quantum physics.
3. Conclusions
The Lamb shift experiment yielded numerous profound insights that profoundly influenced the realm of quantum physics and deepened our comprehension of atomic systems. Here, we shall elucidate the key findings derived from the Lamb shift experiment:
a. Verification of Quantum Fluctuations: The Lamb shift experiment provided compelling empirical validation for the presence of quantum fluctuations within the vacuum. These fluctuations arise from the inherent uncertainty principle in quantum mechanics, resulting in the ephemeral emergence and disappearance of virtual particles. Notably, the Lamb shift demonstrated that these fluctuations have tangible physical consequences on atomic energy levels, culminating in the observed division of the 2s state in hydrogen.
b. Affirmation of Quantum Electrodynamics (QED): The Lamb shift served as a pivotal confirmation of the validity of quantum electrodynamics, the theoretical framework governing the interactions between charged particles and electromagnetic fields. Prior to the discovery of the Lamb shift, QED remained a theoretical construct. This crucial experiment offered a tangible manifestation of the theory’s precision and its capacity to elucidate atomic processes.
c. Precision of Spectroscopic Techniques: The successful execution of the Lamb shift experiment demanded exquisitely precise spectroscopic techniques to discern the minute frequency division within the 2s state of hydrogen. This underscored the significance of advancing experimental methodologies and instrumentation to explore subtle atomic phenomena.
d. Revision of Theoretical Models: The Lamb shift experiment conclusively demonstrated that the extant Dirac theory of quantum mechanics, which predicted equivalent energies for the 2s and 2p states, necessitated refinement. The influence of quantum fluctuations on atomic energy levels mandated the incorporation of quantum electrodynamical effects to account for the observed frequency division.
e. Acknowledgment of Willis Lamb: As a consequence of the Lamb shift experiment, Willis Lamb was bestowed with the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1955. This esteemed recognition highlighted the import of his contributions to the advancement of quantum physics and solidified the significance of the experiment within the scientific community.
f. Establishment of Quantum Field Theory: The Lamb shift experiment played a pivotal role in solidifying quantum electrodynamics as a flourishing field theory, thereby establishing a firm foundation for the development of other quantum field theories that expound upon the behavior of particles and forces within the framework of quantum mechanics.
In sum, the far-reaching conclusions of the Lamb shift experiment substantiated fundamental tenets of quantum mechanics, quantum electrodynamics, and the existence of vacuum quantum fluctuations. The resounding success of this landmark experiment has profoundly enhanced our understanding of atomic and subatomic phenomena and has paved the way for contemporary theoretical and experimental inquiries within the realm of quantum physics.

As We Ponder Belief
(2p!Prussia x Reader) - Chapter 48
Note: Let's be real here. If you've read up until this point, then you already know dang well what's going on. From here on out, this is just going to be used to give you bits and pieces of useful information.
(y/n) had almost fallen asleep before being shocked awake by a light knocking at the door. Lifting herself up into a sitting position, she answered.
"Come in," She yawned, the words coming out breathy and tired. Goodness, I almost took a nap just then.
The door slowly opened to reveal young Ludwig, preoccupied with carrying a few bags. His blond hair was slightly disheveled, though he had no problems carrying whatever he had in his arms.
"I'm sorry. Did I wake you?" He asked, his voice having the same Germanic accent as his father and brothers.
(y/n) shook her head. "Oh no, not at all. Ludwig, was it?"
"Yes miss," He nodded curtly. "And you are Miss (l/n), correct? That's what Vater's calling you." (y/n) couldn't help but smile.
"It is," She chuckled. "But if it's all the same to you, you can call me (y/n)."
Ludwig mumbled in acceptance before awkwardly looking around the room, bags still in his arms.
"Uh, Mi- I mean, (y/n), where would you like your things?" His voice sounded uncomfortable. (y/n) was confused, but upon closer inspection, she saw that the luggage was some of the items she and Gillen had in the back of the cart.
"Oh, just set them on the floor right there," She instructed while getting up and gesturing to the floor by the doorway. "And please, don't trouble yourself. I can bring everything in."
"I-It's really no problem, I-I can take care of it. N-Not to mention Vater asked me to," Ludwig stammered as his future sister-in-law approached him, his eyes darting between her and the bags he set on the floor.
(y/n) smiled sympathetically. I get the feeling he doesn't talk to girls that often. A little bit like Gillen when we first met.
"Thank you, Ludwig. But please, allow me to help," (y/n) pleaded.
Ludwig said nothing in response, only giving a quick nod before returning downstairs. (y/n) went to follow him, watching him with amusement. I take that back. He's even more awkward than Gillen. Not that that's a bad thing.
After going downstairs and out to the front of the house, she peered to her left to see Gillen and his father in mid-conversation. It set her heart aflutter to see Gillen's smiling face, especially considering how cold and distant he was when they first met. She wanted nothing more than to wake up to that smile each and every morning.
Grabbing the bag holding her bedding, (y/n) momentarily tore her eyes away from her fiancé. She glanced between Alaric and Ludwig, the latter of which casually hopped into the back of the cart to grab something. For a second, she was stunned by the similarities between the two. They seemed borderline identical. Both Ludwig and his father had the same blonde hair and blue eyes, the same facial structure, and hair type. Even their expressions seemed to mirror each other. He certainly seems to take after his father. I wonder if this means Gillen and Gilbert take more after their mother.
When Ludwig hopped off the cart with the tent under one arm, she even noticed that, despite him being twelve, she and him were about the same height. Signaling that he was probably going to end up being the tallest in his family. Holding the tent, he gave it a curious look.
"I don't suppose you want this in your room?" He asked.
"Not particularly. I don't plan on using it any time soon," (y/n) replied with a half-hearted shrug. As she spoke, her voice caught Gillen's attention, prompting him to look in her direction.
Gesturing to his father to wait a moment, he speed-walked to Ludwig. Swiftly, he snatched the tent from his younger brother who reacted with indignation.
"What was that about?" The boy scrunched up his nose.
"Just helping out a little. I'll put the tent away," Gillen insisted.
"You could just tell me where to put it," Ludwig said adamantly. Even (y/n) seemed confused, folding her arms and raising a brow at the man.
"Why are you so adamant about putting the tent away yourself?" (y/n) inquired.
"You'll see. Wait, hold on a moment. Why are you helping unload the cart? Vater asked Ludwig to do it," Gillen stated.
"She insisted on helping," Ludwig answered, earning an internal chuckle from Gillen.
"I should've guessed," Gillen lightly shook his head before giving a quick peck on (y/n)'s forehead. After which he went inside, presumably to put the tent away somewhere.
That was strange. (y/n) would've commented out loud on Gillen's odd behavior if it weren't for Ludwig's flustered and dumbfounded expression. The tiny display of affection his older brother showed his bride-to-be put him at a loss for words. His eyes grew wide and his face tomato-red. A reaction that only caused (y/n) to laugh.
Ludwig tried to open his mouth, but no words came out. Instead, he opted to grab another bag and bolt inside, leaving (y/n) in a fit of now-dying giggles.
I guess that was a little too much for him! (y/n) figured to herself as she grabbed the last bag and made her way inside. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to her, Alaric watched on curiously.
The day went by slowly. Ludwig and Gillen found themselves called back outside by their father to work. Meanwhile, (y/n) idly walked around the house, occasionally looking out the window to see them working hard and chatting away. Paying extra attention to Gillen in particular.
While he was clearly happy to talk to his family again, (y/n) could tell he was tired. The journey had been exhausting, and they had only arrived at about noon that day. His movements appeared to be getting a tad sluggish as the day wore on, causing her to worry for his health.
I know his father asked him to work, but surely Gillen can rest just a little. Or perhaps retire early for the night? Either way, I suppose Gillen knows his limits better than I do.
Shaking her head, she cast her worries aside and went straight to the kitchen. Discontent with the idea of not doing anything for the whole evening, she got to work making them dinner. Tying back her (h/l) (h/c) hair, she poked around the cupboards to see what she could find. After discovering a bag of several potatoes, she grabbed a few herbs and spices before using the ingredients to put together a soup. Once the potatoes were diced and she had everything in a pot, she lit up the fireplace where she hung the pot above to cook. After doing so, she decided to remain sitting on the floor by the fireplace.
(y/n) wasn't sure how long she was sitting there before her mind began to wander. The flames flickering and dancing before her eyes reminded her of that night she spent in the chapel with Gillen. The same night where they kissed each other for the first time. And the night where he proposed. Her heart grew full at the thought.
Noticing that the fire was beginning to weaken, she grabbed the poker and used it to stir up the flames once again. Smoke began to burn her eyes, causing them to water. Using her sleeve, she dabbed at the corners of her eyes before setting the poker to the side.
Suddenly, (y/n) felt a hand on her waist. Startled, she gasped and turned to the side to see Gillen kneeling down close beside her.
"Sorry, Engel. I didn't mean to scare you."
(y/n) gave a content sigh of relief as she heard the tender voice of Gillen in her ear. Seeing his face and hearing his voice settled her heart. Happily, she pressed a tiny kiss to his lips.
"No worries," She smiled sweetly. Looking out the window, she saw the darkening sky. "Goodness, I can't believe I've been sitting here that long."
"Neither can I. I thought I told you to rest?" Gillen inquired with a brow raised. He seemed a little amused, though there was a level of concern within that beautiful icy gaze.
"I do what I want," (y/n) tiredly smirked. "Not to mention I didn't want to just sit around and do nothing. Doing nothing is boring. Oh, darling, could you please get me a potholder? I want to check on the soup."
Gillen chuckled lowly. "I was about to say I saw you cooking. You know you didn't have to make us anything."
"I'd say otherwise. You three are working. Why shouldn't I do the same? If anything, I'm more concerned about you," (y/n) lifted a hand to Gillen's face, her palm resting on his scar. "I had moments to doze on the road, but you were the one having to stay awake and keep the horse going. Between the two of us, I think you should be resting."
Gillen shook his head, but before he could respond, Alaric spoke up from across the room. The couple looked to find the family patriarch standing by the doorway with arms crossed over his chest.
"That's because, as I said before, men don't rest if there's work to be done. Women, however, do, as they hold the future inside of them," Alaric spoke bluntly, his voice hard and his words direct. Walking toward them, he kneeled down on the other side of (y/n), opposite to his son. "And I would also like to add that we don't use traditional potholders in this house."
Alaric then pulled off one of his gloves and handed it to (y/n). Confused, she tentatively took the glove and slipped it on, somewhat uneasy under the older man's stoic expression. The glove was so big, that her fingers barely touched the fabric inside. She also noted that not only was this glove three times too big for her hand but that it was made of thick, dark brown leather. The kind of gloves used for handling hot materials. Its exterior was nearly coated in ash and soot from the forge outside.
"Th-Thank you," She mumbled quietly, a little intimidated by the man she had barely interacted with up until now.
(y/n) reached forward to lift the lid off the pot. Using her ungloved hand, she grabbed her wooden cooking spoon and stirred the soup. The meal was boiling now. Using the spoon to poke at one of the potato chunks, she hummed in satisfaction when it was proved to be so soft it practically dissolved when she prodded it. Glad to see the soup was coming along nicely, she set the lid to the side and kept the spoon in her hand.
"I'll let it simmer for a bit now. Should be ready soon," She mumbled, thinking out loud.
"It smells lovely, Engel," Gillen complimented, moving his hand from her waist to rest on her shoulder.
"Indeed, it does. Thank you, Miss (l/n)," Alaric grunted in agreement, his expression never changing.
"What are you three staring at the fire for?"
(y/n), Gillen, and Alaric all turned their heads to see Ludwig coming inside with firewood, the sky behind him dimming tremendously. His face and shirt had splotches of soot. The remains of a long hard day at work. Even his blonde hair appeared dirty and a little greasy. Instinctively, Alaric addressed him as he set the kindling and logs by the fireplace.
"Miss (l/n) was kind enough to make us dinner," Alaric explained. "Now go get cleaned up. You look a mess."
"Ja, Vater," Ludwig droned as he set the wood down and made his way upstairs.
When it was again just the three of them, (y/n) awkwardly glanced over at Alaric. Although she wanted to talk to the man, she felt a lump form in her throat. Which somehow managed to get worse as he wordlessly got up and went toward the kitchen.
"Engel, are you well? You seem uneasy," Gillen pressed the back of his hand to (y/n)'s forehead.
"Hm? Oh, no, I'm fine. It's just..." She trailed off as she turned to glance at Alaric over her shoulder. Gillen followed her gaze. Her voice fell into a quiet whisper. "I don't know what to say to him. Ludwig is fairly sweet, but I haven't a clue on how to talk to your father."
"That's fair," Gillen whispered back. "He's always been standoffish. Mother called him unapproachable when they first met. But he can become a little more talkative when you get to know him. It just takes some time. That, or the right conversation."
(y/n) nodded, taking in the information. "I see. So basically, he's like you when we first met." She stated with a twinge of humor. Gillen gave her an odd look.
"What? No, I-- Was I actually that bad?" Gillen fumbled over his words, to which (y/n) giggled.
"Pretty much," She confirmed, fondly tucking a lock of white hair behind his ear, fingers grazing over the scar. "But between the two of you, you are certainly the most handsome."
"Well, I'd sure hope so!" Gillen laughed. Taking (y/n)'s hand in his, he pressed a kiss to her hand before placing a soft kiss on her lips.
