Literally remembered just now. A few years back when CL brought the other girls to Coachella, I found a few angry GZBs, angry that she brought them on instead of having a full set. They where mad, calling the rest of the group "old hacks" and calling CL an idiot for making this decision that "goes behind your fans backs" who "have always been there for you when the rest if the fandom turned their backs on you". Her final say at the time was "this is why you aren't taking off in the US, it's cuz you keep trying to take care of these old hacks". Looking through the replies and their account, they seem to be always fighting with some other Bom fans. I just wanted to hear your thoughts on these kind of fans, because while I'm not a fan of other kpop groups (2nd gen only really) I've *never* seen kpop fan in-fighting for hags as bad as for our girls. I feel like this contributed to such a bad group exit for Minzy cuz the individual stans where just waiting for her to slipup cuz at the time Minzy was practically spotless, it helped YG make a clean throw under the bus because the fans helped. I'll leave it at this cuz boy is this long I didn't mean it to lmao

But yeah the infighting between 2NE1's individual fans in general has been annoying. I would argue f(x) had it worst out of the 2nd gen girlies but 2NE1 are definitely right up there.

I have no respect or regard for this type of fans whatsoever. If you can't see that CL and the other girls are CLEARLY happy whenever they're together and WANT to do this and are not forced by a manger or a company to coexist with each other then you're terminally stupid. Nothing can be done

Only in its fifth year, Lollapalooza Paris announced that the KPop group Stray Kids (@/Stray_Kids) is part of the European version of the Chicago summer festival on January 25, Wednesday. Taking place from July 21st to 23rd at the Hippodrome de Longchamp, the group will be taking the stage on Day 1 as headliners of the said event.

On the same date, they will be accompanied by other artists, such as Damso, Niska, and Linsey Stirling, while headliners for the next two nights are Rosalía and Kendrick Lamar, respectively. Lil Nas X, Kygo, Niall Horan, and One Republic are also part of the festival line-up.

Stray Kids are the first Kpop act to take over as headliners for Lollapalooza Paris. Other Korean acts have been making history at respective music festivals, such as BTS’ J-Hope and TXT at Lollapalooza Chicago 2022, BlackPink at Coachella 2019 and 2023, DPR Live and DPR Ian at Coachella 2023 and CL with the members of 2NE1 at Coachella 2022.

10. I'm super excited for my trip to New York to see John and Seth Meyers, which starts in TWO DAYS!!!! AAAAAH!!!! I'm anxious about it as well but it's gonna be amazing. I'm so excited to see John do standup again after 9 years, and to see Seth live for the first time.

I'm also excited for a Taskmaster themed party I'm hosting for my birthday next month. My partner will be the Taskmaster and I'm the assistant. It makes sense bc I'm a foot shorter than him.

23. Favorite piece of clothing has a few answers (and I'll add pics when I'm off work):

- My binder, which I don't use all the time but is obviously quite special :)

- My Gorillaz printed tee from like 2005 which is still holding up! It is also the most complimented single piece of clothing I own. I counted at Coachella and I got 49 compliments on that shirt. And that's not really an unusual occurrence!

- My Jeremy Scott Adidas sequined dress, which I bought on deep discount bc 2NE1 wore it. (I found photos of Minzy in it but I think Park Bom also wore it during a tour.)

Yes, because without him their career is over. The mediaplay yg did over the years for them is incredible.

If they renew they will go into hiatus for another two years and their comeback will be in the same period as BTS comeback 2026. Yg has been doing this since 2018: matching comebacks with the tannies 2018-2020-2022.

I don't know how much it good for them though because the next BTS comeback will be strong enough to rock the entire industry. Or BLACKPINK will go the same way as 2ne1 who yg disbanded their group to make bp debut. Now there will soon be the debut of Babymonster. If they don't renew the only ones who will continue making music will be Lisa and maybe Rose but I think Jisoo and Jennie will be full time influencers (Jennie said in an interview that she wants to get rid of everything that a kpop idol has)

I think jennie had hopes that the idol would be as successful as Euphoria and that would get her into Hollywood but the only thing that happened was she got a song "dedicated" to her by Abel during their time in Cannes

The girls are tired of this life and it shows throughout the tour. They lacked charisma and energy and many fans complained that the shows were too boring.

I'm starting to think they hate each other. A local present at coachella said that the girls were trying to shine more than the other and this is bad because they are a group not solo artists.

Pada Kamis (25/7), YG Entertainment pun mengumumkan jika 2NE1 bersiap comeback lewat konser "2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL" di Olympic Hall, Olympic Park, Seoul, pada 5-6 Oktober mendatang.

Ini akan menjadi konser solo pertama 2NE1 setelah mereka menggelar konser "All or Nothing" pada Maret 2014 lalu. Tidak heran jika konser ini begitu diantisipasi oleh fans.

“Ini adalah tahun yang monumental yang menandai ulang tahun debut ke-15 mereka, dan reuni dramatis dengan 2NE1 memotivasi kami untuk memulai konser mereka di tahun ini," ungkap perwakilan YG. YG Family prediction time!

I've never been right when it comes to YG's schedule because they don't know how to plan for shit, but it's always fun to speculate on how they'll plan their year.

So we know Baemon will have a full album comeback in (probably early) September. I think in October they'll film a youtube series or smth so we can actually get to know the members better. Something like Blackpink House or Tmap or WINNER tv etc. November and December are the end of the year award show months so they'll probably be busy then.

Treasure will release a mini album in (probably) October. There have been (unreliable) reports that they'll do fanmeetings after their comeback. I'm thinking Korea, because Yoshi said that after the Wonderland fanmeeting tour they wouldn't be going to Japan again in 2024. If the reports turn out to be false, maybe they'll release some short form content like TMI or Tlogs. + They'll also be attending a few Award shows.

2NE1 will have their comeback concerts in October, November and December (with new music maybe??? but I highly doubt they'll do promotions)

We know WINNER or Blackpink will not release music in 2024, so that just leaves AKMU. I really hope YG will let AKMU have another comeback this year. November and December are still free YG, let them release more music please 🙏

YG Family concert??? Maybe??? I have said this in 2022 as well and it did not happen, but goddamn 2NE1 returning and WINNER back as 4 in December and all these world tour announcements really got me hoping for it!

The end of January would also be the perfect moment to do this! Blackpink will be promoting as a group again. If they livestream one of the concerts, all Blackpink fans will tune in for their first schedule as a group in 2025. A lot of their fans don't really listen to other YG artists' music. It would be the perfect opportunity to introduce those people to (especially) Treasure, Babymonster and 2NE1 as they'll be going on world tours! All YG groups are amazing performers and so they would truly make people interested in going to their concerts.

Wouldn't it be so much fun to see all YG artists interacting? Maybe performing eachother songs!🔥It would also be the perfect opportunity to introduce the trainees for their new boy group and get people intrigued 'cause right now I don't see alot of hype.

I think Treasure will go on tour first starting in February. I don't think they'll release any more music ahead of the tour so they'll go as fast as possible. I think it will last around 6 months.

Baemon could have a single or mini album release first and start their tour after that, maybe March or after their first anniversary in April. It would be a good time to announce the fandom name and introduce their lightstick so many people will buy it for their concerts. Or it could be the second half of the year and YG wants them to release more music first/ do more fanmeetings to built experience maybe? (and this is just me being delusional but what if Coachella actually invites Baemon to perform in April???)

Blackpink will take a while to finally have their comeback I think. The end of April maybe. I really need it to be a full album and all the promotions 😭🙏 I need this to be treated as the biggest comeback of all time srsly because this might be their last album. We don't know how many years they resigned for. I'm thinking it's just these two years (until the end of the tour) and YG will have to beg them to stay again in December. I think they'll start touring in May and continue till a few months into 2026.

I have no idea how big 2NE1's world tour will be. It could be very small (a few countries in Asia and 1 or 2 in Europe and America) or it could be way bigger and they'll be touring for months. I don't think 2NE1 will release new music so they'll also be touring as fast as possible.

I think WINNER will have to wait until after Blackpink had their comeback. So around May-June. It's too long of a wait but atleast we'll have the summer kings back just in time for university and summer festivals!☀️

AKMU will also have to wait until summer I think which is why it would be great if they could release a winter album so we wouldn't have to wait that long .

I pray for WINNER and AKMU to have multiple comebacks next year when literally all other YG artists are on tour, YG has no excuse srsly.

The only thing left then is their new boy group! It would make sense to debut them when all other groups are busy and away so the focus is only on them, but YG is always late with everything which is why I think they'll actually debut them around November or December 2025 or something. Just in time for the end of the year. I have no idea if they'll do a survival show like with all their other boygroups (cause it's very expensive) or something like how Baemon was introduced? I have not heard/seen anything about YGNBG except video's of them leaving the YG building. YG will want to built hype, but they have the strangest idea's so we'll see what they come up with...

It's been fourteen years since CL, Dara, Minzy and Bom first stepped on stage together and proceeded to change the world forever.

They broke about every single stereotype of K-pop, experimented with their sound, fashion, had the most amazing stage presence, and did so much to expand girl group styles in the Korean music industry and became one of the leading figures of the Korean wave.

Their second single, I Don't Care, was named Song of the Year at the MAMAs, making 2NE1 the first idol group to receive a daesang (grand prize) in their debut year. Their New Evolution Global Tour is considered the first ever K-pop girl group world tour since it visited eleven cities in seven countries in Asia and North America in 2012, and their show at the Prudential Center in New Jersey was named the second best concert of the year by The New York Times.

Their second full album, Crush, released in 2014, was the first album by a Korean artist to break into the top 100 of the US Billboard 200 (debuting at number 61) and remained the highest charting Korean album for over two years.

In April 2022, 2NE1 performed for the first time since their disbandment at the Coachella festival as a surprise reunion, which was named by several publications as one of the year's best performances at the festival.

The group has sold 66 million records worldwide which makes them one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.

I've been with them for over a decade, through highs and lows, and I can safely say they will always be my number one. It has been a bit hard listening to their music after disbandment, but it's gotten easier over the years.

Relationship with CL - Grace Chu

Chaelin was watching the make up artist work on her eyes a few hours before her performance at one of California’s most famous shows, Coachella. 2NE1 would be reuniting for one night only and it was amazing to have her sisters with her at what would be a performance of a lifetime.

She just wished one person could be with her.

A knock at the door interrupted her thoughts and she watched as her manager came in with a large bouquet of flowers, made up of peach garden roses, pale peach roses, and hydrangea with orange pud flowers and peonies. It was in a vase made out of purple which would have clashed with the colours if Chaelin didn’t see the note.

“To my darling, I hope it all goes well tonight. I’ll be thinking of you from Las Vegas. Dinner on me when we’re back in Seoul. Love you forever, Gigi.”

Grace Chu, one member of BTS, was currently in Las Vegas to perform Permission on Stage. A very close friend, basically sister at this point, who was more than gutted to miss CL’s amazing stage performance at Coachella.

Within two minutes of the bouquet arriving, she got a message from Grace with a picture of her and all the BTS members giving heart fingers to the camera. ‘Supporting you all the way in LV.’

Chaelin happily sighed and sent a photo back with her sniffing the bouquet of flowers with the simple message: 'Love you.’

Grace didn’t have a schedule on her best friend’s birthday and the original plan had been to join a group of casual friends to go out for dinner. However, Chaelin’s mother had passed away a few days before due to a heart attack. At the request of their friend, birthday plans had been put on hold.

But for Grace, she didn’t want her friend to be alone.

She tapped in the number to the front door of Chaelin’s apartment and heard the beep, pulling open the door to kick off her shoes at the entrance. The apartment was in dead silence apart from faint music coming from what Grace knew to be the bedroom.

She found her darling friend on her bed, wrapped in the covers as she stared at the TV that was playing the music video that had been released over an hour ago with the new song Chaelin had written in memory of her mother.

Grace said nothing as she climbed onto the bed and settled down next to her friend, wrapping her arms around the woman who had been nothing but a pillar of support in Grace’s own life and career.

The two stayed like that for a while until Chaelin’s tear streaked face appeared from the covers. “Thank you,” she quietly said and Grace smiled, holding her closer. “Anything for you.”

ARMY, IU and Chaelin’s fans were treated to a little surprise one night during Grace’s solo career. It was a shaky video but it gave the kpop world enough to talk about. Somewhere in Seoul, probably a fancy hotel from the looks of it and the sounds of dinner being finished.

The camera panned to Chaelin’s close up face then zoomed back out, giggling as she moved the camera around the table. There were four other women who were unfamiliar but it went to two figures who the world knew - IU and Grace.

“Say hi to everyone,” Chaelin said as she waved her hand in front of the camera, causing the two ladies to stop their conversation.

It was a rare insight into the relationship between three women who have taken the kpop world by storm, especially for IU and Grace who were rarely seen together.

The two waved at the camera and suddenly IU covered her face with her hand, giggling as Grace looked at the lady next to her then the lady behind the camera. “Really? Did you need to do that?” she asked, grinning before shaking her head. “Chaelin, we don’t need to see your breasts that close.”

“What do you mean?! These are amazing, you should be jealous,” the voice came from behind the camera.

Later on, another video would be uploaded, this time filming the three women walking down a hallway. Chaelin with her arms wrapped around the shoulders of Grace, IU to the side as she carried a pair of shoes and a small handbag.

Chaelin managed to plant a sloppy kiss on Grace’s cheek and plopped her head against Grace’s hair. “I can see why Seokjin goes to bed with you every night.”

“Chaelin!” came several voices, not from Grace who stopped and was bent over laughing.

“Come on, we’re all thinking of it.”

The videos were deleted the next day only after a selfie of the three ladies was uploaded to Grace’s Instagram with the caption: 'I don’t know what I would do without you two. Thank you for the fun nights and the memories.'
