#according to facebook memories (why do i even have that still??) 12 years ago today i saw Linkin Park for the first time 🥺#in a few days it'll be 10 years since the last time i saw them#and. hm. there's a lot that surfaced this days since clancy dropped and i'm a bit more emotional / sensitive than usual#and this is. well. making me extremely sad.#12 years ago. i remember as if it was yesterday. i cling to that day so much and i'm scared of forgetting about it#i wonder how 14 yo me would've reacted if she knew.#they were my first gig ever! i remember the 2nd song was given up and the people around us started moshing pretty hard.#so much that my shoe came off and my dad had to shield me while i crawled and looked for it hahaha#it was so fun! i didn't really know that was a thing#that day was the first time they played Lies Greed Misery - it had been released just the day before#my videos are SO blurry but i still have them all saved 🥹#idk i've been in some typa mood these past days. not necessarily bad at all but.#me and a couple friends had a very important conversation 2 nights ago which was GOOD but. the bad thing about letting everything bottle up#is that once you spill it's hard to deal with. and yeah this is. idk. i'm just venting here like. ignore me.#it's just really hard for me. i miss him terribly and i'm really scared for myself because i *know* i'm back in the loop#and it feels so hopeless sometimes. maybe this is super silly but i'm so thankful that Clancy came out now because OH BOY i need it#maybe it's not the best strategy to put so much faith? importance? in like. music and other people but#man. i genuinely don't know if i'd be here if not for certain songs/artists etc#idk I'm rambling lol. i might delete this later#probably. maybe. i try not to talk too much about this here because i tend to deal alone but. sometimes it's nice to send things to the void#anyways. support your favs. talk to your friends - even if you much rather not. don't be like me and let things rot inside.#🤍#darya talks to herself

The latest post on the Stones’ Instagram account 🥹 I’ve seen that Keith/Charlie hug so many times but it’s so sweet that they posted it!
This is actually amazing to see, though, and so interesting! We’ve all seen that hug so many times because I accidentally stumbled upon an old clip it was hidden within on YouTube with 1-2k views a few months ago, gifed it, posted it, and continue to overuse it. But it’s almost certainly part of that Voodoo Lounge documentary by MTV which was aired in 1994 and never seen again. Ditto with the interview which preceded it. I’ve seen that quote, but never the footage. The documentary must contain the footage of Keith calling Charlie “my man” 4 times in a row because that’s the longer part of the quote that they cut off to show the hug.
If this is them hinting that they bought the rights to the docu and they’re going to release it for the Voodoo Lounge anniversary, I will lose my damn mind.

It's wild to me that an anime as good as ghost in the shell 2nd gig even exists. I finished rewatching it yesterday since I wanted to revisit what 14 year old me thought was the coolest shit of all time and I can confidently say it IS the coolest shit of all time.

So I've been watching Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig and...
I just need to mention how fucking refreshing it is to watch a show that isn't so up america's ass and is willing to portray their government as the super shady and corrupt organization that is up to no good that they are. That often get involved in conflicts in other countries so they can call themselves heroes while actually just making things worse and stirring up more violence because they want a monopoly on all violence in the world. This happens multiple times throughout Ghost in the Shell by the way, across all adaptions, and I'm very thankful for it considering how bootlicky amercian media tends to be.
#Also Major Motoko Kusanagi is still one of the coolest and most well written characters ever okokok#We love a incredibly capable and commanding boss lady who has the full respect of her team#And her Stand Alone Complex version is the best for being more fleshed out and multi dimensional#Ghost in the Shell#Stand Alone Complex#2nd Gig#Motoko Kusanagi#The Major
