My favorite thing about getting into the Gravity Falls fandom is simply Not Understanding why folks had such great hate for Mabel and Ford.

Mabel didn’t start the wierdpocalypse. She’s an easily manipulated child and is fucking 12. She’s self centered but what kid isn’t?

Ford had a reason to be mad and not thank Stan in the heat of the moment when the portal opened. His brother could have easily accidentally let Bill through with his recklessness to bring his twin back. Also bitch that isn’t your house anymore. You lived in it for 6 years and your twin lived in it for 30. He paid a majority of your mortgage. It’s his now.

“…pardon?”

Wakatoshi’s olive eyes peer over his book at you, brow cocked in confusion as you stand above him, your hands on your hips. You don’t look any sort of remorseful or upset; just mildly bored with the fact you’ve just walked up to him and said you’d have to break up.

Like telling him it was raining outside.

You sigh, “we’re just not compatible.”

“Do… you feel that way? Have I done something?” Worry crosses his features, trying to map out what he’s done to upset you, if anything.

“Oh! No, not at all,” you say, and when you provide no other context, he raises his brow and you must notice his growing annoyance because you shrug at him, “my horoscope says we’re not compatible. And I just don’t want to waste my time if we’re not going to make it.”

This, has wakatoshi chuckling. He closes his book and gently shifts to make himself comfortable in the dip of the cushions. “Make it?”

“Look; our signs just aren’t compatible right now.” You smile at him softly, “maybe one day we’ll be there.”

“Im sorry, you must tell me more.” When you flash him a look, he scoffs, “I was reading my book perfectly fine, now you’re telling me we’re not going to be together anymore. I need help understanding.”

You unlock and pass him your phone, his big hand taking it from you before looking at your astrology chart, furrowing his brows as his eyes glaze the contents.

“Non-compatible with leo’s, it says.”

“Yeah,” you confirm.

“And… I’m assuming I’m a leo?”

“Sure are.”

“You’re not seriously about to leave me because the stars said so, correct?”

You cock your brow. He rolls his eyes.

“That should not surprise you,” you say, and he sighs and flicks his eyes up to you.

“It shouldn’t, but it does.”

You scoff, “how august-leo of you.”

“I swear to all of the gods, benevolent and not, do not start using this against me.”

“It’s not me, it’s you, toshi.”

The card illustrations look??? So deceptively simple??? BUT THEN YOU LOOK CLOSER AND YROU START TO NOTICE ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS like how the willow leaves and the boat they're leaning on are STRAIGHT OUT OF THE LITTLE MERMAID KISS THE GIRL SCENE ON THE LAGOON. And you can see the gills on their sides, WHICH SHOW OFF THEIR BIOLUMINESCENCE, previously noted in the Magical Archives book. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL, THEIR POSES ALSO DEMONSTRATE EACH BROTHER'S PREFERENCES WHEN IT COMES TO TAKING ACTION. Floyd has his back on the boat and a hand in his hair, which leaves his core completely exposed for an attack; it fits how he's the more physically oriented fighter of the twins, the person who rushes into battle without much caution. I really appreciate how we can see and admire more details of the merform here! It's nice that we can see the gradient on his skin really well as it fades into a lighter color on the front. and the markings and coloration on the webbed hand. (... Also, as a clavicle enjoyer, I must give Floyd's a thumbs up 👍) Jade is the opposite of him, he's posed with his chest resting against the boat and his arms crossed, which shields many of his organs. This also suits him very well, since Jade has been shown to be the brother that thinks and plans before acting. That does, however, leave his BACK exposed (though the dorsal fins jutting out probably provide some degree of protection)... meaning he could be BACKSTABBED, which is something Jade abhors (he's the only one allowed to do the backstabbing around here). ... AND HEY, IT HELPS THAT BOTH OF THEIR POSES ARE ALSO CUTE AND COULD BE FRAMED AS EITHER FLIRTING AND/OR TEEHEEING TO DISTRACT YOU RIGHT AFTER COMMITING SOME HEINOUS ACT 🤡 (<- delulu)

Once, the sorcerers student stole the head of Orion. Every night the great hunter would make his trek through the heavens, ending it with a bath in the lake where he would wash his body after the hunt. The sorcerers student, coveting his brilliance for himself contrived a plot to take it. "Angry robin" "violent robin" "misbehaving robin" shut up and accept my alternative; spunky Robin. Determined and head strong, can out-stubborn the Batman, has a strong moral-backbone and does what he thinks is right regardless of what anybody else says, Robin. Jason who was sassy and quippy and made crude jokes with a smile on his face. Jason who hid in Bruce's cape and whispered gossip to him. Jason who, if Bruce refused him something, could keep bothering endlessly until Bruce caved. And also dramatic Jason. If Bruce tells him no, it becomes a whole theatrical show; a monologue, a narration, embellishments, and falling onto the floor in his grief upon the fact his cruel father has denied him once again.

(Jason who has suffered through abuse and homelessness and poverty and starvation, who is the Fight out of Fight or Flight, who's built up defenses and walls and when pushed and triggered responds with the thing that's always protected him; anger. He's sweet and kind and funny, and when he sees a pimp hitting a prostitute he gets furious and responds with violence.)

Phase One 2D Having A Crush On Reader

- it’s a strange thing. When you are in love with someone and then another appears and you feel the love for them more than you should. That’s how 2D said it was with you.

- He would do little things that no one else really noticed. Would let you have the last of the peppermint tea, offer you biscuits, help you with anything you needed.

- No one noticed this. Except Paula. You and her did not get along due to her blatant disregard for 2D’s wellbeing and the disrespectful way that she would fawn over Murdoc while 2D was in the same room.

- You and her would often bicker but it ceased when you noticed that it made 2D upset and the other band members uncomfortable.

- When it inevitably happened, you were the first to rush to 2D to try to make him feel better. He was inconsolable for a few hours and was about to choke Murdoc the fuck out but you didn’t let him leave the room til he was calm. Russel was already… taking care of your lights work.

- When Paula left, she saw that her car had been spray painted with a derogatory term for disreputable person. You did feel bad…. That you also hadn’t slashed the tires.

- Murdoc could only await your acts of wrath. You locked him in his Winnebago until he apologized. (He made it about two weeks. But he ran out of fresh water.) and then you gave him the cold shoulder until he apologized to 2D directly.

- 2D did forgive him, which surprised you. But it was easier than it would’ve been because he had you.

- 2D was in love with you.
