[Fan account] Hari Belia 2011 in Malaysia [SJM part]
First of all, I think this would be my first time writing a fan account on Tumblr as I usually write on Blogger more because of internet problems. But anyway, let me share a fan account of yesterday's Hari Belia or in English, The Malaysian National Youth Day 2011.
This is how I see the concert, btw. There are other variations on the opinions on the concert, but do listen to what I have to say. :) Let me give you a picture and a bit of how it felt there. :)
'SUPER JUNIOR M IS IN THE BUILDING.'
Basically, Super Junior-M's concert began at 9.45 pm, with the introduction by my favourite radio DJ, Serena C! :D
Only 6 of the members were present: Eunhyuk, Zhoumi, Kyuhyun, Sungmin, Ryeowook and Henry. Apparently, Siwon and Donghae could not attend due to filming. Oh well, best of luck over there in Taiwan.
Anyway, back to the fan account. Let me give you the sequence of the performances before I continue.
'LINE UP'
"太完美"
"Off My Mind" - Henry's Solo
"凌晨3点钟“ - Zhoumi Solo
“我只在乎你” - Ryeowook Solo
“如果你也听说” - Kyuhyun Solo
"MJ Medley" - Eunhyuk Solo
"到了明天“
“命运线”
“SUPER GIRL"
'HANDSOME MEN'
The boys came in with their suave and handsome suits, and the theme was brown last night. Very nice creamy brown. It made everyone look very handsome. As Siwon and Donghae were not present, Henry and Eunhyuk took over for them. Some parts from the 'Super Girl' era which featured Han Geng were taken over by Sungmin and Zhoumi most of the time.
'CHAT AND MEET YOUR SJM.'
There were a few chat sessions in between, and the highlight of the whole concert was the part where 6 LUCKY fans stood the chance to talk to and HUG SJM! I don't remember all the details, but let's see what I can remember. For Henry, he was asked about what he thought about Malaysian fans. He said that he thinks that Malaysian fans are all very BEAUTIFUL and he LOVES Malaysia! (YAY!) As for Ryeowook, the fan who was paired with him asked him about what he would cook for the girl he loved. He answered "Anything at all." What he meant was that he would cook anything that she liked. :) Aww, so sweet. As for Sungmin, a fanboy was paired with him. I don't remember what they talked about because it was a bit fuzzy, but what I can say is that Sungmin did respond positively. Zhoumi was asked the same question Henry was asked, but in Mandarin that is. And he also answered that he loved Malaysian fan girls and thought that he had some kind of fate with Malaysia! Woohoo!!! And he gave the fangirl a kiss on the hand and a hug! :) So sweet~ Next up, we have our Evil Magnae Kyuhyun. The fan who was paired with him was the luckiest because he received 2 HUGS from him and also 2 pats on the HEAD!!!!! *jealous much* She asked him, "Oppa, do you love games more than fans?" His answer kinda cracked me up because the interpreter was trying to teach him to answer in our national language, Malay. He was supposed to say, "Tak payah tanya" which means "You don't need to ask that question" or in nicer terms, "Of course it's~". Then he said in Mandarin that of course his fans were more important than his games. OH REALLY, gamer? >:) Well, I take your word for it then. :D Last but not least, Eunhyuk did the most daring thing of all...he gave the girl a kiss on the hand and a BACKHUG!!!! (i think the girl couldn't sleep that night XD)  He was asked this question, "Do you still steal the other members' underwear?" When he was given the translation, the boy was in total denial. Serena C diverted the question to the members and they were running around the stage, circling Hyukkie. And Hyukkie finally said, "No no no. *in broken Engrish* This is mine... I can show you."
'I CAN SHOW YOU.'!!!!!
YOU WERE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION, LEE HYUK JAE! XD LOLOLOLOLOLOL~
'LEARNING MANDARIN: EASY LIKE EATING RICE?'
One of the M members mentioned on a variety show that learning Mandarin was very easy and was 'as easy as eating rice'. Well, here's what they had to say about the question "What do you think about learning Mandarin?"
Sungmin admitted that it was very hard, but he would work harder to improve himself. (PLEASE DO! You've worked hard! I've seen your messages on the SJM official page! Jia you!)
Ryeowook said that he found Mandarin rather easy to learn because he loves Mandarin. *grins*
Kyuhyun tried to answer this question in Mandarin. He was stammering here and there because of he still could not speak fluently. I don't blame him. I mean, language development kinda slows down as we grow older, so I don't blame the old man Kyuhyun for not being able to speak well.
We all know he worked very hard. :) Yes, he did. They all did and have. :) Ne?
Serena C praised Henry about his Mandarin but he said, "Oh no no no, my Mandarin is still very rotten and I still need more practice! :) " Aww, so humble.
'EUNHYUK'S GREED'
Eunhyuk was asked the question about what were the qualifications for anyone who wanted to be his girlfriend. And the greedy person said, "All the fans here, all the MALAYSIAN fans here and everywhere are MY GIRLFRIENDS."
HE IS SO GREEDY. HAE, YOU CAN DIVORCE HIM NOW. >:P
LOL just kidding. XD. I was overwhelmed by his craziness. For this time, he smiled a lot and was HILARIOUS. I remembered that he was acting TOO COOL during SS3 this year that I was kinda disappointed that time. Thank God he was so cheerful today! :D
'LEE HYUK JAE: MY NAME IS LEE HYUK JAE, NOT MICHAEL JACKSON.'
Eunhyuk's solo was based on the song "Smooth Criminal". It was, in my opinion, EXTREMELY SEXY. Well, it was kinda suggestive because well, ELFs are no innocent people and they ARE perverts. (Admit it, I know I sometimes am. :P) His dance moves were really up to a new level. It was a thousand times even more amazing than that of SS3's 'Down'.
Lee Hyuk Jae is not Michael Jackson; he is HIMSELF. :)
'ZHOUMI: I CAN SPEAK CANTONESE.'
It wasn't surprising for any Malaysian Chinese to speak Cantonese, but for a mainland Chinese like Zhoumi, it was truly a new experience. He spoke even better Cantonese than me! :'( I am such an epic fail. XD.
Anyway, he was very warm and kind that day and smiled all the time. ;)
Yes, ZHOUMI SMILED ALL THE TIME. :)
And I almost died. Like, seriously.
'RESPONSIBLE IDOL: LEE SUNGMIN'
Serena C posted question,"Who is the most responsible person in the group?"
Without hesitation, Hyuk answered, “晨敏!~” (Sungmin's Chinese name) And Sungmin, ever so humble, blushed and thanked Hyuk about that.
We see your efforts, Minnie. :) No need to be shy.
BTW, Minnie is even more ADORABLE LIVE!!!!!!!!! :D
Like, SERIOUSLY.
'KYUHYUN'S TIREDNESS AND SHYNESS'
As always, Kyuhyun didn't talk much. He only talked when questions were directed at him. He was most of the time as static as a rock. But what I observed (because he was RIGHT in front of me) is that he kept on closing his eyes on and off. What I figured was that he was tired, and he obviously was. I could see his pimple scars for real too. HAHAHA. (Ok that wasn't really necessary but oh well. :P)
Serena C asked a question, "Who is the shiest member of SJM?" And you know what happened next?
Sungmin immediately duck behind of Kyuhyun and pushed him in front! XD It was definitely a KYUMIN moment! :D And Kyuhyun even admitted in Mandarin that he was indeed very shy. Awww~
'COME IN FRONT, SJM: SJM Solos part.'
During the solo performances, only Henry, Zhoumi and Ryeowook managed to come to the front stage during their solos. I understood why Kyuhyun didn't budge but stuck at his position, although some fans were being upset and complaining about why he did not come in front. The thing is, he was singing a ballad. And when you sing ballads, you don't move around a lot. It spoils the song because you move a lot and your voice goes out of tune due to too much movement. Being still helps to sing more smoothly and it's more comfortable. As for Hyuk, well, the boy was just killing millions of fan girls with his MJ medley. :) It was the performance to DIE FOR!
'SIDE NOTE: A FAN'S POV OF SJM'
As mentioned somewhere in this post, being at this concert was and is and will always be a dream come true. I had the opportunity to see all the SJM members in person, and they were LIFE-SIZED. :) Yup, they are real people and there's no doubt about it. I heard them sing for real. I saw them being silly with my own eyes. I saw how tired they were with my own eyes. And I had the chance to breathe the same air with them for at least 2 hours in the same place called Persiaran Perdana, Presint 3, PUTRAJAYA. HAHAHAHAHA. Oh yeah!
To me, Zhoumi had the most dazzling smile of all that day. And let me say something. I mean, SCREAM something.
ZHOUMI LOOKED IN MY DIRECTION!!!!! *SCREAMSSSSSSSSSSSSSS*
Yes, he looked in my direction! I was so excited! XD. And I was also very grateful that Kyuhyun was in front of me. Right in front of me before the ending, that is during the last interview with Serena C. He was there. I saw him. I saw his tiredness. And I looked at him sing for real. He was singing “命运线” after the interview. It was totally beautiful. Seriously, BEAUTIFUL. :)
'SIDE NOTE 2: ON ELFS - NICE OR WHAT?'
Super Junior fans worldwide are given the name 'ELF' which is an acronym for 'Ever Lasting Friends'. However, I somehow felt very uncomfortable with some of the ELFs that night.
It is not that I blame them for anything, but somehow I felt that when we say we are ELF, we are supposed to play nice. You don't bitch around about people's races or where they come from. That was the part which was a bit disappointing. Super Junior accepts fans from all places, so why can't we accept others too and take after their example? They are, after all, some of the BEST Korean artisted there ever were. :)
So ELFs, everyone, may this be a message to everyone that we learn to be nice. Don't talk bad about others: You're not very good yourself. Learn to love, accept and don't be a racist. :)
Everyone deserves the right to live. ^_^
'SO, WHAT ELSE IS ON OR, OFF MY MIND?'
There's a lot more to tell you, but I think the fancams will tell you a lot more. :)
IMO, this was even better than Super Show, in a sense that I can actually see them like only a few inches away from me. They were real. They were VERY VERY REAL. I was standing in the first row, by the way, so the view was very very clear.
Let's say that I was stunned. And from this concert, I can stand strong and tell anyone who tells me that Kpop artistes are fakes and lip-synchers that these people sing LIVE! I heard them sing with my own ears. I saw them with my own eyes, and so have millions of other fans present that day. :)
Hari Belia 2011 is a night to remember, forever. :)
