These mf's don't even get to die in peace. They couldn't even get a proper rest and both of them were used as weapons for the jujutsu society, especially Gojo. First, it was Geto, now Gojo. They deserve so much better.

PM - 261 - 11/16/23 - Accident

When Sirius gets into an accident, James is his ICE call and lucky, Lily is helpful to him since he doesn't understand muggle healing.

“Mr. Potter?” an unknown voice asks on the other side of the muggle phone.

“Yes?” James asks.  He didn’t have many people that would call him since he’d only gotten the phone because Sirius was curious about them.

“Do you know a Sirius Black?”

“I do…”

“There’s been an accident and he’s at the hospital…”

The unknown person continues giving him information, something about the motorbike going off the road and Sirius being in critical condition.  Unfortunately, he was at a muggle hospital, so James had to get Lily so that she would help him understand the muggle healer.

They arrive in record time and James is losing his mind at seeing Sirius all small and fragile, hooked up to wires and machines.

He nearly panics as Lily gets the update on how he’s doing by the muggle healer.  Luckily, it sounds like he’s not as critical as they had mentioned on the phone, but he had broken his leg and arm, which were in some sort of wrap that Lily called ‘casts’. 

He can’t ask her what’s going on since his questions would sound strange to the muggle healer, instead he laces his hand with Sirius’.  Despite the fact that his eyes are closed, and he looks so broken, James can feel Sirius’ warmth and knows he’ll be okay.

“He’s going to be just fine, James,” Lily says as soon as the muggle healer leaves.  “He’s in an induced coma right now – it’s like a dreamless sleep – he should wake in the morning and his arm and leg have been reset in casts, it’ll take time heal, but we could always go to a healer if need be to make it better.”

“Or he can learn a lesson or two about being a little more careful,” James states, not quite looking at her or caring about how hypocritical he sounds.  All he cares about is Sirius healing and then putting him in a bubble of safety.  “Did they say what happened?”

“Apparently, there was a car driving around another car in the opposite direction on a two-lane road and it was either hit the car or drive off the road.  I’m guessing he didn’t have enough time to make it fly, and he hit a tree.”

James hums.  “And the other drivers just get away with it?”

“Unfortunately, yes, but he’s going to be fine.”

“Promise?”

“Of course.”

Sure enough, in the morning – James refusing to leave Sirius’ bedside – Sirius wakes, a little out of it, in quite a bit f pain, but otherwise seemingly just fine. 

James gives him an earful before saying, “I’m so glad you’re okay, I don’t know what I would do without you.”

“It’s a good thing you’ll never have to find out,” Sirius states.  “I’m made of tough shit, Jay, you know that.”

“You could have died from something as silly as a car accident,” James states.  “I’m over here worried about Death Eaters and you’re getting mangled by a tree.”

“I’ll be more careful next time, I promise.”

“You better – and you get to heal the muggle way so that I can make sure you learn something from this.”

Sirius grumbles a bit before saying that it means James would be taking care of him, and James smiles.

“Of course, Pads.  I love having the chance to take care of you.”

“Then I guess it won’t be so bad, then.”

“Of course it won’t,” James promises.  “I always take good care of you, don’t I?”

Sirius grins.  “Always.”
