The Introduction!

Hello everybody! 

First of all I will begin with a basic introduction. I am a first time mom to a 25 weeker. She is currently in the NICU as i write this post. I developed hellp syndrome / preeclampsia November 30th 2020 (of course 2020 had to give me a traumatic ending to the year). I thought it was just a gas bubble and nothing more that I was walking into the hospital with. Little did I know I was about to be flown 2 hours away with a systolic blood pressure of about 200. December 4th 2020 I gave birth (emergency c-section) to a beautiful baby girl weighing 1lb 30z. I didn’t to see her for the first two days. Just as i was starting to find my hope and accept my situation, we got the news that Baby Brida has a grade 4 brain bleeed. My heart was shattered, I was numb to reality, and I  was sure I was going to lose my baby. 

Brida is now 2 months old (actual and 36 weeks gestational) weighing 4lbs 5oz and is thriving. I created this blog to share my story and help anyone I can experiencing preeclampsia, preemies, c-sections, and just motherhood and life in general. I am not here for followers, I just want the help I wish I had and let anyone going through what I went through to know that they are not alone. <3

Bebê que nasceu menor que uma Barbie sobrevive e chega aos 7 kg

Após passar cinco meses internada, a bebê americana Kallie Bender, que nasceu com seis meses e apenas 360 gramas, deixou o hospital em Phoenix (EUA) no começo da semana pesando 7 kg.

Para se ter uma ideia do quão pequena nasceu Kallie, ela era menor que uma boneca Barbie. Até a aliança do pai dela servia de pulseira na bebê. A informação é da Folha.

26 days old

I can’t believe Miss JoJo is 26 days old. She weighs 2 lbs. 10 oz. tonight. Sky went to visit her today too and I got her dressed for the very first time. She got to wear a pair of Footy pajamas that Grammy and Papa sent her. Her eye is still really goopy she still has a infection and clogged ducts. She could kind of peep one eye open again though. The septum of her nose is still broken down and bloody from her CPAP rubbing on it. At least daddy will be here in a couple days.
