Okay beauties, this is going to be a very long text post but who cares anyway! Let's get to it! SO @choi-kisssu and I were just chatting and we came across the topic of Hui and the boys of 24K. Pretty much what happened we were chatting about how it seems that some people are freaking out about Hui taking 24k out of his instagram username and bio but! Our point is with all the recent conflict (is that the right word??) between South Korea and China, that it's safer for him to be in China. But also we came to the conclusion that he probably misses his home and his family very dearly!

Another point though, some people have jumped to the conclusion that hui wants nothing to do with 24K or 24U anymore and have stopped writing scenarios and things like that for him however! If he truly didn't want anything to do with 24k and all that went along with it would he not delete everything about 24k? Would he not want to get rid of all the evidence that he was ever apart of 24k?

Joker (Hui Short Story)

A/N: Hello beauties! I do not know if Hui smokes or not but I am in no way saying he definitely does! This story is for entertainment purposes and the cigarette smoking was only added to fit the scenario. I’m sorry about the huge gif too! (credits to owner)

Genre: Angsty 

Requested by: @choi-kisssu I really enjoyed writing this thank you for allowing me to! <3 I realise this is probably a very crappy angst so I apologise!

Starting as a 6 member group, we had already lost two due to the fact that they didn’t want to work to earn their place in the spotlight. The reasons they told us were ‘We just don’t want to end up the way 24K did. We don’t want to lose members almost every few years and such and be old by time we even begin to have a name for ourselves.’ 

Now the four of us are preparing for our debut officially as ‘Joker’. It was all of our intentions to make sure things were perfect in time for the day which is fast approaching. Practice has been merciless, consisting of long hours and pulled muscles. Being the only rapper in the group seemed to take a toll on me; I focused more on perfecting the lyrics rather than the dancing, which I really shouldn’t have done because now I am stressed about the dance not being perfect either. At this point in time would be where my boyfriend of a few months, Hui, would step in and help me relax enough to get the choreography completely flawless. However he has been away in China for awhile so he has been unable to help. I have been practicing day and night by this point only resting to sleep and eat. 

Today was no exception; I spent the day in the studio with my group mates and back up dancers, brought in specifically for our debut with the ‘sexy’ concept, practicing over and over, making sure we were in sync and in time with the music. I could tell their frustration levels were raising with my inability to master the dance, by noon they had enough and left claiming they were tired or had appointments to attend. I shrugged it off and continued practicing. Before I knew it, the sun had set and here I was still in this goddamned studio, music turned so loud I could feel the beat pulsing through my body. Closing my eyes to get a better feel of it, I started dancing again. 

The music stopped and I turned to grab my water, startled to see Hongseob and Jeonguk standing on the side. 

‘Your steps are all wrong and you’re off beat.’  And here I thought I had gotten it this time. Sighing I collapsed on the floor, feeling defeated for the umpteenth time today. They joined me on the floor although a little more gracefully than I had been. 

‘You must be having a difficult time without your dance partner and lover.’ Jeonguk teased, poking my side. ‘Well fear not, he is on his way back. Supposed to touch down at 11 o’clock I believe.’

‘As happy as I am to hear that, I wanted to show him I could at least get my debut choreography down on my own...’ Out of the corner of my eye I saw them share a knowing look. Standing up Jeonguk moved all of our things out of the way while Hongseob motioned for me to get up.  

‘It’s only 7 o’clock now. Jeonguk and I will help you get this perfect. In time for you to show Hui how hard you have been working.’ Starting without the music Jeonguk playing the role of the coach while Hongseob was my dance partner, they taught me all the steps and when to move with ease, being dancers themselves probably helped but I wasn’t complaining. After they were positive I had got it down without the music, Jeonguk put the music back on and stood back to watch. Being in such a close proximity with Hongseob was uncomfortable but I didn’t care because I would take any help I could get. What I didn’t realise was that Jeonguk had recorded the two of us dancing. Smiling to himself he didn’t think anything about posting it except for the fact that he wanted to boast about teaching me the choreography in such little time. 

As the clock hit 10 o’clock I called it quits, thanking them profusely and headed back to the dorm to get cleaned up before Hui arrived. When I opened the door, all the lights were out, which was odd as the girls should have been here; their shoes weren’t even by the door either. Where were they? I called out for them as I walked in further. I noticed the balcony door ajar and a figure standing out there. 

As I got closer I recognized the figure to be my beloved boyfriend. He stood there on the balcony of my shared dorm with a cigarette hanging from his perfectly sculpted lips, staring into the blaring city lights. Approaching him slowly I wrapped my arms around his waist lovingly. He jumped, startled from the unexpected contact but made no effort to return the favour. I let my arms drop and went to stand at his side. His gaze followed my movements but turned back to face the city, watching the people on the abnormally busy streets. We stood in silence for awhile before he spoke up. 

‘Why did you do that?’ His voice was small almost like a child who had gotten scolded. There’s no doubt he is talking about Jeonguk’s recent Instagram update. I stayed silent while I searched my brain for the right words to explain the situation. My silence more than likely hurt him more than any words would have. 

‘Do you really want Hongseob more than me? Is he that much better than I am? Is it because he can always be here in Korea with you whereas I have a whole different life back in China where I have to be sometimes?’ His voice rose as he asked, before we knew it we were shouting at each other.

‘It’s not like that!’ 

‘Sure it’s not (Y/N)! Tell me what the hell is it like then? It looks pretty obvious in that damned video! You very obviously would rather him as a boyfriend with those moves!’ 

‘Would you listen to me for at least one minute...? It’s not like that at all... they were helping me so that I could show you how well I had done while my favourite dance partner was away and so you could be proud of me.’ He was silent at my words and stared at me. 

‘How can I trust your words?’  

‘If you can’t trust my words to be the truth, find a way to authenticate them.’ I went back into the dorms and went to my room, calling out to him that he can either let himself out or stay here. I knew he was really hurt when I heard the front door close and beep telling me it was locked. All I could do now was hope I didn’t ruin things for their friendship...
