I did the 24hr Novel Challenge last year...
Last year, I did the 24 hr novel challenge over the course of 48 hours (so the novel was written in 24 hours but I did in 48 hours) and it went about as well as you'd expect:
Fine. I did fine.
I didn't exactly FINISH finish but I did complete a solid 0th draft and I wrote like 26 thousand words (16k the first day, 10k the second day). I learned two really big things from doing this:
The first thing I learned was I really method act when I'm writing -- like, in order to describe emotions, I really simulate them in my body. So simulating a whole rollercoaster ride of stress and love and sadness and terror and desire and despair was A LOT and I would get numb to things as the scenes went on.
The thing that restored me was watching snippets of things that inspired me -- the starts of shows, trailers, music, images, etc. These ended up being a sort of palette cleanser in-between scenes for me.
But when I'm not pushing myself, I learned I really need to just. Write when I'm feeling it. Because my writing is higher quality like that.
Secondly, I learned how fragile my hands were: I really destroyed my hands doing it -- something I didn't anticipate was how much I was going to need to stretch my hands and TO THIS DAY, my hands still get more sore than they ever did when I was younger. I'm getting old >_<
The Characters & Story
Heirs to the Tilted City was (to no one's surprise) a fantasy polticial drama about a city in the wake of a disaster that broke apart and almost fell into the Abyss. The Goddess who ruled the city sacrificed herself to protect it, leaving it behind to her baby Heiress, Shiel.
But while the Goddess made the celestial inhabitants of the gorgeous astral whimsigoth city, Shiel's descended from a line of Demons who migrated to the city after a disaster of with their own Goddess. Furthermore, she's so young. Many residents have mixed feelings about her taking control back from the City Chamber -- despite her being born, raised, and educated in the city...
Meanwhile, the former Chamberlain of the Goddess -- removed from power after trying to take power from Shiel when she was a baby -- has a son, Isegael. And in the dregs beneath the city, Isegael, too, has risen to power as his rivals mysteriously vanish. From the head of a crime syndicate to a legitimate local leader, Isegael now has his eyes set on the Chamber too.
And so begins a collision of ambitious young people trying to wrestle power from those who'd maintain a crumbling status quo. Will they overcome their past traumas to become the people the city needs? Or will the Old Guard let the city slide the rest of the way into the Abyss?
...I suck at writing copy. Don't make do it lol
Feel free to take a gander at the writing vlog too -- it's definitely one of my better ones!

24 hour novel challenge | day 5
I believe my goal for the 24 hour novel challenge is 10K. This would be more than I have written in a project in the last 3-4 years combined. Really what I'm hoping for is to generate momentum so I can start back into my writing work without it feeling like I'm pulling teeth.

24hr novel challenge
going to try and write a novel in 24 hrs (which we know I won't, since I didn't even finish this goddamn outline but it's more like watch as I try to finish this OUTLINE in 24 hrs so I can finally write my book in time for nano)
and who knows, maybe if I finish plotting like I said I would the last 7 months I'll try the 24 hr novel attempt all over again.
anyways, for anyone interested, the details are here
i just want this to be my thread of sanity haha
also if anything is wondering here's an awful and quick put together summary of what i'm working on (aka my historical fantasy set in korea during the joseon era) where a disease goes around where people are suddenly clawing their hearts out and bari disguises herself as her brother in order to become one of the king's personal guards and bring a cure to her dying father
if anyone also attempts this, let me know how it goes!

currently gearing up for the 24hr Novel Challenge but I'm unsure which WIP to focus on. any thoughts?
Option 1: An original story I'd have to start from scratch (queer romance/horror)
-focuses on religious guilt and societal pressure
Option 2: An in-progress fanfiction I have big plans for (but am missing the notebook I wrote some of said plans in, rip) (queer romance/ coming-of-age/ historical drama)
-focuses on isolation, mental health, and grief
Option 3: An in-progress fanfiction with a less clear vision but the need for a pretty substantial length (queer fantasy/romance)
-focuses on tyranny, morality, and sibling bonds

Creative work for Serbian
Activity title: Writing a short story
Duration: 24hrs
Type of activity: creativity
Activity description:
For our Serbian class we were tasked to do some sort of creative work , in which we would enlight or give our contribution to the work we analyzed on class. I chose to write a short story depicting some key features of Raskolnikov's character and thus give my personalized view of his character and how it was developed in the novel . I also tried to finish a story about another character in Crime and Punishment, more specifically Porfirij, however, I didn't have enough time. The main points about his character are that he has a split personality, namely Rodya being a family-loving and caring side, willing to give away and help the less fortunate, and a killer, superior , Übermensch side sprouting with courage, willing to break conventions that an average Joe wouldn't.
Reflection:
It felt liberating to write something of my own. I am aware that it isn't comparable to the sky-high standard of Dostoyevsky, however I am proud of it. It was challenging to come up with something new that makes sense. However I am glad I endured this activity, as it gave me a beter perspective on how writers think, effectively making me a better reader.
Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.
Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.

so my suggested approach is gonna be pretty amazon-centric, just because they are literally the easiest example. I have kindle unlimited (because my bible belt library system does not exactly overflow with m/m romances), but your particular niche may pair great with a libby subscription. or scribd is fine if you read primarily on a phone/tablet.
you said you know what genres you like. look up any book from that genre on amazon and scroll down to the product details -> sales rank.
just about every book will be ranked on three bestseller lists. once you navigate to one of those lists, you'll be able to see the top 100 of that niche. some of these lists suck, because they're fed bad data*, but they are a great jumping off point.
it sounds like mostly your problem is decision paralysis, so I would make my goal Try a Bunch of Different Stuff and use low/no-cost memberships to lower initial investment in specific particular options.
it feels a lot harder to pay for an individual book you might not like than to throw it on a pile of 20 you're "checking out" at once. and it's a lot easier to quit a book you're not clicking with if you're not also worried about having wasted your money.
you might also benefit from doing something like a reading challenge or readathon. in 2016 I committed to reading more published fiction and tracked all my books with the annual goodreads challenge. or Dewey's 24hr Readathon is coming up in October (I participate twice a year). you get the community of a book club without being stuck reading one particular book, and can often get recs from other readers.
*bad data = sometimes authors in popular genres will shelve books in less popular genres because it's easier to hit the top 100 that way. or some lists like transgender romance are 90% erotica and only 10% romance novels because amazon is weird about erotica so people won't advertise it as such.
I'm 100% certain you've been asked before, but as someone who was big into popular YA as a teenager (think Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, Mortal Instruments, etc), and wants to branch into proper adult fiction now that I'm reading more again, where do I even start with that??? Like, I know what genres I generally like, but I don't know where to even begin. There's so much out there it feels impossible
--
I don't think I have been asked precisely this.
TBH, as a kiddo, I first branched out into mystery rather than fantasy, and I've read a lot more mystery overall.
(People often start with the golden age "Queens of Crime" Christie, Marsh, Sayers, and Allingham or with whomever is big that year, which in my case was often Tony Hillerman.)
If what you're reading is essentially urban fantasy, I guess you could start with that genre. I used to love the early Anita Blake books before that series went off the rails and ruined Edward. I think a lot of what's out there now is more Paranormal Romance than the more mystery/detective-focused plots I liked, but I'm sure there's plenty either way. There's also a lot of indie/self-published original m/m that's... like... a werewolf and a guy afraid of werewolves become FBI partners or whathaveyou. (That being the Big Bad Wolf Series by Charlie Adhara.)
When I was buying more books, I generally just went to the bookstore and browsed the blurbs on the backs of things until one looked good.

9 and 20 for the ask meme please!
❤
9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?
I would say Of Duty just because it’s the first novel length story I’ve attempted in a long time and it’s been a slog at some points. I’ve always enjoyed jargon and worldbuilding but I’m actually doing it properly this time, plus my writing style has changed a lot since the last time I was actively writing for a scifi fandom so it’s been... a challenge.
But then being challenged one of the things I love the most so this is definitely a good thing!
20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.
Well first, my brain needs to be cooperating which is the hard part 😂 Sitting (read: lying) on the couch at home alone during the day or late at night when my partner’s in bed (if I can handle that, bedtimes 10pm for me nowadays), with a non-distracting background noise on the TV or stereo (usually mindless youtube, 24hr repeating news, or a spotify playlist with meh songs on it)
I cannot write with distractions, is what I’m saying. Even the cat is a distraction.
40 Questions meme
#ask meme#fic stuff#writing stuff#thank youuuu#also tumblr decided to send this to me 3x thanks tumblr#sdktrs12

🎨 Graphic made by @indiaisstudying: India is brilliant my pals, and I recommend checking her out for studyblr/artblr inspiration. My girl tHIRIVES.
The singular takeaway from this post: Do a creative binge. Much productive than a Netflix binge. Period.
Two months ago, I reached my peak when I coined the term ‘bood day’ (a bad to good day, in my article How To Flip A Bad Day By 180°). Today, puppies and kittens, I present to you— a creative binge.
*crickets chirping, that one dude in the audience scratches his nose and turns away*
…This one actually works but okay, we get it, y'all are bitches. But gonna do my job anyway– if you're a creator reading this, please do a creative binge at least once every two weeks.
I started doing these binges two months ago, and I've seen a VAST improvement in my creative energy. I feel my commercial voice coughing and saying hello to the mic, so before I start listing side-effects for a sponsored pill, let's dive into the basics.
🍵 Quick PSA —
↪ JOIN MY TAGLIST? If you aren't on this yet, please get on it, it'll mean a lot to me! By joining, you get a new article on lifestyle design & productivity every week.
100 Days of Sweat: This challenge starts TOMORROW (10th of April), so if you wanna hustle on your bod this year, join us! Accountability does crazy things.
Ever questioned your life, experienced writer's block, painter’s pain or blogger’s… block? (Narrator: aaaand she's back to advertising.) A creative binge helps deal with fixing exactly that.
“A creative binge is based off the equation of quality in = quality out.”
A lot of creators feel that they're supposed to magically create out of their head, and that's just ridiculous. It's ludicrous considering you don't know shit, read shit, do shit and watch shit.
Even to write fiction, my pal, you'll have to expose yourself to the world to know its ways, read great books and take tips (not to mention stock up on coffee, and prepare to cry a lot) before you start cranking out the pages. Everything you create is ultimately inspired by the Ways Of The World. (And that's a fantastic novel title)
So in short, you’ve got to consume content, to make content. And in a creative binge, you conscious choose content that'll help you create. Genius, I know!
Okay, but what if I'm not a creator?
Brilliant question! Wanna become more valuable and leave the people you interact with better? Take a creative binge.
Allow me an elaboration: Take a janitor and a neurosurgeon. The said janitor is paid much less than the neurosurgeon. Why is that? Is the neurosurgeon a better person? That's debatable. Is the janitor less efficient at his work? Again, debatable. The primal reason lies in the neurosurgeon acquiring more valuable skills than the janitor. Society rewards them by paying more since there are less folks who can do what the neurosurgeon does.
To recap: In order to be indispensable in the role you play (whatever it is, a student, calligrapher, CEO of the Janitor Club), you HAVE to become valuable. Grow your curiosity & know more than yo’ buddies (also bring more value than anybody else). And to become valuable, you consume value. Tada!
(And if you still ain't convinced, I'll pull out the Netflix card. You'd really rather watch shows? Or binge YouTube? Than learn a new skill, or develop existing ones? Question your priorities, my friend. Victims love entertainment, victors love learning.)
Cool, you're joining in then! Not that creative binge is NOT an entertainment binge. It's a value providing binge. What you ‘consume’ has to bring you something in return— whether that's creative inspiration, motivation or skills. *Swing arms* yup! We’re one gay, productive household. Someone remind Hallie to buy the groceries though, the Cheerios are going mouldy.
By my dictionary, a creative binge is a slot of time, 1½ to 3 hours I'd say, when you watch/read/listen to some good stuff. Basically, binge content.
THE 101 OF A CREATIVE BINGE
🌿 Basics:
I conduct one every week (usually Wednesday mornings), lasting around 1½ to 2 hours.
I'll also keep a notepad and a pen nearby, to take notes and jot ideas as they come. Again, this is NOT an entertainment binge, even though it's a chill job.
Sometimes I'll get passive things done (like wiping my desk, eating breakfast and taking out textbooks) while watching. We maximize our time.
🌿 What Do I Watch:
The stuff I watch falls into 3 categories: creative/humor (for inspiration), business/skills (for skills) & motivation (for, um, motivation). Fair warning though, a lot of the stuff these folks make overlap, but that's alright. This is just a rough demarcation.
Creative/Humor: some YesTheory, maybe some MacDoesIt, sprinkle in some Ryan Higa, perhaps an episode of a show with an amazing script, some stand-up comedy from my favorites. Or maybe trash that and just watch Sherlock. (Geez, Netflix, I hate you, I love you.)
Skills: Gary Vee, some artist channels, that random video on how to thrift shop even though I don't shop.
Motivation: Be Inspired, Tom Bilyeu, Mel Robbins and random videos which look nice.
🌿 What Do I Listen To:
Oof, I love music tremendously! If you're a pal, you know it's time to RUN when I come around being like, “soo, I was wondering what's your favourite–”.
Yet, during a creative binge, I'll only listen to stuff that 1) inspires me, or 2) is creative in a way I can't explain. Some recommendations!
Hype music:
The Score
NF
Imagine Dragons
Creative music:
Billie Eilish
Lana Del Rey
Sleeping At Last
Lorde
Conan Gray
Harry Styles
🌿 What Do I Read:
Usually the book that I'm reading at that point if I'm being lazy.
POETRY: It's my belief, but poetry is a writer's most powerful device. There's a novel to be said in a simple sonnet.
FICTION: I dig great fiction. PS, please read (and sob over) Away Childish Things, by @letteredlettered. It changed me as a person, changed my entire perspective about kids. I'm much kinder and softer now, and my pimples are gone. I'll literally never get over drarry too, so thanks lettered, love you.
ARTICLES: Bookmarked psychology, productivity & fitness articles on Medium. Maybe check out James Clear's & Gary Vee’s blog for new posts.
Because I wanna drive this home, here's what I did in my last creative binge as a concrete example —
Care to Note that:
All of the stuff I consume is pre-planned.
I add videos throughout the week to my Creative Binge playlist on YouTube, download albums from Amazon Music and articles for offline reading.
DON'T leave this to the last moment, you'll more likely pick entertainment vs learning then.
Watched–
Why I'm done trying to be "man enough"
Redecorating my room 2017 (I wanna decorate my room this year so)
How to Squat Properly (I’m trying lmao)
Giving a 9-Year-Old Her Dream Job for 24hrs!! (I stan YesTheory so much)
How To NOT Be A Starving Artist (A mood. I love Sorelle)
Couple more, I could go on & on, but you get me.
Listened–
Every song on YouTube by Bruno Major
Born to die: paradise version (album) by Lana Del Rey
Read–
Articles from James Clear's blog — (x) (x)
Articles from Gary Vee’s blog — (x) (x)
HIIT workouts for beginners
All of this birthed–
Ideas for future articles, titled: How To Be Great & Solomon Letters #2: Question Your Faith, Not Your Dreams, among others.
A small poem about faith– posted on my IG, check it out!
New content ideas, like value chains (upcoming!)
Bunch of other small rants for everyday posting
Some business and life advice that might be useful later.
Gotta say goodbye now! (literally too... but post about it coming on 12th so wait for it) Try this one out, and let me know how your binge goes (tag it with #team conquer). Mine usually end with a bucketful of philo notes, a recharged left (right? psychology? idk) brain, and a fresh perspective towards the rest of my week.
This is the #1 strategy I've adopted to sustain creative energy when it's sapped all around by negativity and school & I promise it helps. No side effects, no sponsored pills needed. Thanks for reading!
Related: How To Get Back Into The Creative Process (if you're in a blogger's block or experiencing painter's pain)
Have something to say? I treasure all feedback! If this post inspired you to do something, or you wanna throw some love/constructive criticism at me— hop into my ask box, or reply to this post itself!
Thanks for dropping by! Major articles, like this one, come out every Thursday! Join my taglist by to read them when they do. I also post daily wins, journal entries, rants & photos of my plant babies throughout the week, so follow me if you’re into conquering life. I vow to be the loudest cheerleader. ✧
Sending you love and good energy, talk soon.

Title: Together As One
Prompt: ”For a true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.” - Disney’s Hercules and Soulmate!AU For: @thefanficfaerie ‘s Disney Quote Challenge
Rating: T
Word Count 1434
Tony Stark had never been given a normal life. As the son of Howard Stark everyone always wanted to know what he was doing and when. There were magazine articles written about him at age two never ceasing, one after another they came to pry into his private life. There would be no break in his life, no down period where he wasn't bombarded by paparazzi. Never was Tony given a sense of peace, a sense of comfort.
Over the years he became used to it. Nothing seemed to bother him about it, he became resigned to the fact that his life was forever going to be public. Everything about his life would be shared with the world, he'd only had the secret of Iron Man for a few weeks and then announced that on live television. There was never any secrets left for the media to dig into. Not even the fact that Tony Stark hadn't found his soulmate.
He refused to show his soulmark. It was always covered as he couldn't be certain that a photo wouldn’t be taken of it. How could he know if someone truly was his soulmate if, as a public figure, his soulmark was put out in the world for anyone to pretend they had that matching mark. In his mind he'd believe he would know straight away who was his soulmate and who was not but people had always been manipulative when it came to money and he really didn't want to take any chances.
If Tony was honest with himself he would admit that he was tired. Not only was he tired of searching for his soulmate, he was tired of always being under watch. He was tired of being held to high standards as Iron Man. He was tired of being seen as a hero that had no weakness. He simply wanted to be seen as an ordinary man, no different from anyone else. But he was Tony Stark, he was Iron Man, and that was impossible.
The weight of the world was on his shoulders and with that came lack of sleep. Pacing around his home and tinkering with new suits was doing nothing. Thoughts came racing into his mind and they didn't seem as though they were going to slow down at any moment. Counting sheep wasn't working, nothing was. It was impossible for Tony to journey outside into the city anonymously but Tony felt it necessary. If he was to clear his mind then it would be easiest to put all his focus on something else, navigating the city was just a good a way as any.
Tony didn't know what had drawn him to the diner. He'd passed plenty that were open 24hrs and yet he'd entered none of them. They all looked the same, counter up front, booths lining the interior, neon signs. Nothing was vastly different except the name of the diner and he guessed the menu as well. Maybe it was the fact that there weren't many people sitting in the diner, that's what he would tell you it was later on.
He sat at a booth off in the corner and flipped through the menu. Hearing the whispers he knew he was recognized by the wait staff and let the waitress who came over to the booth know that he'd sign autographs if wanted. Not being able to sleep was his excuse for having a burger at two in the morning.
Staring was rude, that was what his mother had taught him at a young age. It was something he always remembered and something that he knew never to do. However he couldn't help but stare at you. A diner seemed like the last place you'd bring a laptop to. That was a coffeeshop thing to do, work while you ate. A diner was a place to read a book perhaps, not work on whatever it was you were typing away at. That was the first peak of curiosity.
Tony ordered more fries and sat watching you. You knew he was watching you, you also knew who he was, both things you refused to acknowledge. Tony noticed how you interacted with the staff, it was clear that you had been here plenty of times before. He wondered if you had worked here at one point or if because of frequency you had been able to know everyone and everyone had been able to know you.
Tony had been at the diner for 45 minutes before deciding to come sit with you. If you said anything about minding it or wanting him to leave than he would, he knew how being approached by random strangers when you were working was not only annoying but a little creepy. When he grabbed his food and sat down at the table with you, you didn't bother looking up. You knew he was there and you knew who he was, he'd talk and you'd answer. It was simple.
"What are you working on and why here at this time of night?" He began.
"Couldn't sleep and had an idea. I'm a writer. Have to write sometime I guess"
"Yes but isn't that why Starbucks exists?"
"If I wanted to be a cliche it is. Plus I like the food here and no one minds my working."
"So. This novel. Talk to me about it."
And you did looking up at him only occasionally while continuing to type. You didn't know how long you had been talking to him, the conversation had started with talk of the world you were creating and it moved on to talk of your life, of movies the two of you had seen, of musicians you liked. Antidotes from one another lives, Tony being careful to reveal who he was as you had yet to broach the subject of his fame or of him being Iron Man.
He hadn't even noticed your soulmark until you went to the counter to order more coffee. Of all the places and of all the times to meet you he never anticipated it to be here and now. Fate wasn't something Tony believed in but he figured that meeting you might just have been the reason he felt compelled to enter the diner that night. Maybe it was the reason he wasn't able to sleep that night. Maybe it was the reason for your idea in the middle of the night.
Tony rolled up his sleeves so the mark on his forearm was evident hoping that you'd notice it instead of him having to broach the subject of you being his soulmate. Too focused on talking about the novel you nearly missed it until he reached to grab a few more napkins. You stopped mid sentence and stared back and forth between his arm and your own.
"Tony fucking Stark is my soulmate! The hell!" You exclaimed, trying not to draw attention over to your table.
"You know who I am?!" Tony asked.
You shrugged, "Well yeah who doesn't. You're Tony Stark, it's hard not to know you. Just because you happen to be Iron Man doesn't mean you aren't just another person. I don't know I guess if I ever become famous I don't want to be revered, I just want to be a regular person, figured maybe that's how you felt."
"That's actually…really great. Sometimes I feel I always have to play the hero, be the strongest person. It gets tiring."
"So I know what you mean but. I feel like since I just found out we're soulmates I can be candid here. Strength isn't what makes a hero, it's the vulnerability that does"
"I'm sorry what?"
"Strength is fine but it isn't everything. Strength isn't the measure of a man for a true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart. Being open about who you are might be as helpful as punching people in the face, maybe even more. You never know, there could be someone out there who looks up to you and might be relieved to know you feel the same way they do sometimes.”
Tony nodded contemplating what you said realizing that you were right and what he never considered an option was perhaps the solution he needed.
"I love you," he blurted, "Is that too soon to say?"
You laughed, "A little but we are soulmates I don't know that it takes very long for love to happen"
"Well how about we start tomorrow? Are you free for dinner?"
"I think I can rearrange my schedule."

day 12
Ahh, another day. How am I? Same liver, different eagles.
We are closing in on the beginning of the 24-Hour Novel Challenge; just a few days separate me from the most words I will have written in probably the last 3 years combined. My goal is a “simple” 10,000 words, yet that feels as daunting as a climb up Everest right about now.
To today’s prompt: I’m not sure what helps me write best. I know I need an outline of some kind; I am not a pantser whatsoever. I also know that I need some quiet space, preferably pretty clean and with a nice view, although these are not required. I do well with prompts, both visual and written. I use the pomodoro method to write in sprints, and that’s really effective for me. But none of these have saved me the last 10 years as I have struggled to be creatively productive since college. I have hope that the community around this challenge will make a difference in keeping the motivation flowing…along with some Twitch writing streams.

Covid trick or treat?
As Halloween approaches the season of trick or treat is upon us. We can look back on our treats those being the blessings we have received and are continuously receiving and tricks being the trials that we have faced our way, those being mental and physical challenges that we are enduring throughout this year 2020. Now, as I ponder this year and the pandemic that struck us Covid 19; an“…illness caused by a novel coronavirus now called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus2” (Cennimo, 2020). I ask myself if covid 19 has been a trick or treat to my life?
When the country went into nationwide lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, and I went back home for three months. Those three months were are a blessing because I was afforded time to rest and honestly be lazy, and I knew that I would never again get that time in my life. I was able to bond with my family in a more profound level because everyone was at home. We were able to realise that when life is so busy, we forget to check on each other. I saw it as my father in heaven affording us a time we might never have Again, especially when we all move out and start new endeavours. I saw it as a blessing in disguise in my life as well for my family.
Boo! Was what I felt as we were thrust back into practicals immediately after lockdown. The realisation that three months had passed that we needed that time to practice being therapists, and we have lost it hit my peers and me hard. We couldn’t get enough placements at hospitals cause of the risk of Covid 19. We also had to lessen our time at hospitals and couldn’t get as much exposure to patients because of covid 19. That is when it started to get Tricky for me as the proverb practice makes perfect rang in my mind, and I thought am I getting enough training so I can be a competent therapist that will not cause harm to my clients?
Talking to my friends and classmates, I have been able to see that the covid 19 experience is not black and white. Some have lost family members due to the pandemic. While some that don’t have a family have experienced loneliness and depression as most of the world. As we are in Psychosocial block, we do feel, that we are receiving the “short end of the stick, ” because of the pandemic as we are Not getting more onsite practice that could help us horn in our skills as therapists. We see the loss that could 19 has brought into our third-year experience.
However, as I have completed Telehealth, I have learnt that the pandemic has helped us move towards a more convenient way of treating clients. The world is moving online, and society loves things that will make their lives easier. Working in Telehealth has given me as well as my peers a new skill that will help us in the future when we are qualified occupational therapists.
As I reflect on the pandemic, I have experienced both sides of the coin. I cannot condemn the pandemic because I genuinely believe that there is a season for everything. There have been memories, and lessons learnt through the tricks and treats of covid 19 that I would not trade. The real question that should be asked is what tricks and treats have covid 19 presented me with? And the answer is many because in 2020 a year to be remembered.

Posted @withregram • @dentisterieatcasselman Dear patient, We are letting you know that our office will be closed from March 16 until April 3, following the recommendations of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. If we need to extend this closure, we will reach out to you again to let you know. We do not take this decision lightly, but the seriousness of the current novel coronavirus pandemic demands stricter social distancing measures to slow the impact on our health care system. Nevertheless, we understand that this closure is disruptive for all patients who had appointments reserved during this time, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We will be contacting those with affected appointment times to reschedule appropriately. Patients in serious dental pain or experiencing other dental emergencies can call our office at 613-764-6600 to leave a message. Your call will be returned within 24hrs. Please do NOT go to a hospital for dental emergencies, as we will still be happy to help with these during this closure. We care deeply about the health of our patients and our wider community, and we thank you very much for your understanding as we do our part to overcome this challenging situation. Thank you, Dentisterie @ Casselman https://www.instagram.com/p/B9194wVH3sR/?igshid=1ihxajkmtyg5c
