The 1910s dressing jacket pattern is now up!

Here are two tester makes of the unaltered pattern - Jean Sando (in the dark blue) has a 48" bust and 43" waist, and Rebecca (@/rebecca.pocket.full.of.poseys, light blue) has a 54" bust and 50" waist.

Testers commented that the waist is pretty high (makes sense, since this is c.1910) so anyone making this should check the height and consider lowering the back pleating & belt attachment point if needed.

[The original garment is an antique size 52 - the max bust is 60.5” (154cm) & max waist is 56.25” (143cm), but there's supposed to be a bunch of ease so the suggested wearer bust is 52” (132cm) and waist 42.5” (108cm).]

Oh yeah, I had a crack at the first CrossFit open workout this year and the amount of burpees destroyed me. 90, and 90 dumbbell snatches at 22.5kg, just missed the time cap, got into survival mode pretty fast 🤣🤢

I mean, I guess it makes sense, I would expect Cauldron to have someone Blasto-like on hand to clone people as necessary. Purely based on the fact that Blasto was allowed to be out there doing his own thing (until the S9 showed up anyway), that suggests Cauldron has someone better already so they don't need to kidnap him to work for them.

It still is interesting, though, that cloning preserves powers at all. According to Bonesaw, the passenger constructs a new lobe on the brain in the first few minutes upon its entry, and then goes dormant. Does it also change a person's entire DNA over their whole body to account for that? I'd expect you would need both a regular sample and a sample specifically from the corona pollentia in order to clone a person with powers.

Either that or they didn't clone Alexandria at all, and instead rewound time to unkill her, or resurrected the original some other way after clearing all the bugs out of her lungs. Or grabbed a new one from a parallel universe.

...I know I made this blue and the OG garments seems brown, but I swear it reads as quite blue in person. The striping is blue and the flowers are white, so the brown ground fades away.

This was a really exciting recent find - a factory-made garment with the size label intact!
