The Complete Guide to Water Damage Restoration: Restoring Your Home to Its Former Glory
The Complete Guide to Water Damage Restoration: Restoring Your Home to Its Former Glory
Why is Water Damage Restoration Essential?
Water damage is a homeowner’s nightmare. It doesn’t just affect your property—it can also pose serious risks to your health. Whether caused by broken pipes, flooding, or leaks, water damage requires immediate attention to prevent further destruction and safeguard your home.
Water damage restoration is vital in addressing the aftermath, ensuring that your property is properly dried, cleaned, and restored to its pre-damage condition.
Understanding Water Damage and Its Impact
Water damage comes in many forms, from a small pipe leak to extensive flooding caused by heavy rainfall. While it may start as a minor inconvenience, leaving it untreated can lead to severe structural damage and even health hazards like mold growth.
The longer the water sits, the worse the damage becomes. Within just 24 hours, stagnant water can compromise your walls, flooring, and furniture. Worse yet, damp environments create the perfect breeding ground for bacteria, mold, and mildew, further jeopardizing the safety of your home and family.
This is why water damage restoration should never be delayed. Acting fast can save you significant repair costs and prevent long-term issues.
The Water Damage Restoration Process
A thorough restoration ensures your property is dried, cleaned, and sanitized to avoid future complications. Here’s what to expect from professional water damage restoration:
1. Initial Assessment and Water Removal
The first step involves assessing the extent of the damage. Professionals use advanced tools to detect moisture levels, even in hidden areas. Once the assessment is complete, they’ll use industrial-grade pumps and vacuums to extract all standing water from your property.
2. Drying and Dehumidification
While water removal is essential, it doesn’t eliminate moisture. Hidden damp spots behind walls, under flooring, or in basements can lead to secondary damage. High-velocity air movers and dehumidifiers completely dry the affected areas, ensuring no moisture is left behind.
3. Cleaning and Sanitization
Floodwater often brings contaminants like sewage, bacteria, and other harmful microbes. Professional cleaning and sanitization help eliminate these hazards. This step includes deodorizing the property to remove unpleasant odors caused by water damage.
4. Restoration and Repairs
The final stage involves restoring your home to its pre-damage state. This may include repairing drywall, replacing flooring, or salvaging furniture. If documents or important items are damaged, restoration specialists can also work on drying and disinfecting them.

Preventing Water Damage: Practical Tips
While water damage restoration is essential for repairing and mitigating existing issues, prevention is always the best defense. By adopting proactive measures, you can significantly reduce the risk of water damage and protect your home from costly repairs. Here are some detailed tips to help you safeguard your property:
1. Inspect Plumbing Regularly
Your plumbing system is one of the most common culprits behind water damage. Perform regular inspections to detect potential issues before they escalate.
Check for Leaks: Look for dripping faucets, water stains on walls or ceilings, and pooling water around appliances like dishwashers or washing machines.
Examine Pipes: Inspect pipes for signs of rust, corrosion, or damage. Rusted or deteriorating pipes are more likely to burst, causing significant damage.
Tighten Loose Fittings: Ensure all fittings and connections are secure to prevent small leaks that can lead to more significant problems over time.
2. Seal Foundation Cracks
Cracks in your home’s foundation can act as entry points for water, especially during heavy rains or flooding.
Identify Vulnerabilities: Inspect your basement walls and foundation for cracks or gaps. Even small fissures can allow water to seep in.
Use Waterproof Sealant: Apply a waterproof sealant to seal any cracks and prevent water infiltration. This protects your home’s structure and keeps your basement dry and livable.
Professional Repairs: For larger cracks or recurring leaks, consult a professional to ensure proper foundation repair and waterproofing.
3. Maintain Gutters and Downspouts
Your gutters and downspouts are vital in directing rainwater away from your home. However, poor maintenance can lead to blockages, which can cause water to overflow and damage your property.
Clear Debris Regularly: To prevent gutter clogging, remove leaves, twigs, and other debris. Aim to clean them at least twice yearly, especially in the fall and spring.
Ensure Proper Downspout Positioning: Downspouts should extend several feet away from your home’s foundation. Consider using extensions or splash blocks to ensure water flows away effectively.
Inspect for Damage: Check for sagging, cracks, or loose connections in your gutter system. Promptly repair any damage to maintain optimal functionality.
4. Install a Sump Pump
Investing in a sump pump can be a lifesaver during heavy rains or flooding if your home is in a flood-prone area or has a basement.
Choose the Right Sump Pump: Select a reliable sump pump with sufficient capacity to handle your home’s needs.
Test Regularly: Periodically test your sump pump to ensure it’s functioning properly. Pour water into the sump pit to see if the pump activates and efficiently removes the water.
Backup Power: Install a battery backup system to keep your sump pump running during power outages, which are common during severe weather events.
5. Install Water Alarms and Leak Detectors
Water alarms and leak detectors can provide an added layer of protection by alerting you to leaks or flooding in real-time.
Place in Key Areas: Install these devices near water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, and under sinks.
Smart Technology: Some leak detectors are equipped with smart technology, allowing you to receive alerts on your phone if a leak is detected.
6. Know Where Your Water Shutoff Valve Is
In a plumbing emergency, quickly shutting off your water supply can minimize damage.
Locate the Valve: Identify your home's main water shutoff valve and ensure everyone knows where it is.
Test the Valve: Periodically test the valve to ensure it works properly.

Rising from the Ashes: Mastering Fire Damage Restoration
Fire damage can devastate homes and businesses, leaving behind charred remains, smoke odor, and structural compromise. Whether it's a minor kitchen fire or a catastrophic blaze, the aftermath of fire demands prompt and skillful restoration to rebuild what's lost.
Understanding Fire Damage Restoration
Fire damage restoration is a multifaceted process that goes beyond mere cleanup; it involves comprehensive assessment, meticulous cleaning, and structural repairs. From smoke and soot removal to odor neutralization and reconstruction, restoring a fire-damaged property requires expertise and precision.
The Restoration Process
Upon arrival, restoration professionals assess the extent of the damage, identifying affected areas and devising a tailored restoration plan. The first step often involves securing the property to prevent further damage and ensure safety. Then, debris removal and initial cleanup commence, followed by specialized treatments to address smoke and soot residues.
Advanced Techniques
Advanced techniques such as thermal fogging, ozone treatments, and air scrubbing are employed to eliminate stubborn smoke odors and purify the indoor air quality. Additionally, specialized cleaning methods are utilized to salvage belongings and surfaces affected by smoke and soot.
Why Professional Restoration Matters
While DIY cleanup efforts may seem tempting, professional fire damage restoration offers several distinct advantages. Certified technicians have the training, equipment, and experience to handle fire damage effectively, mitigating risks and restoring properties to their pre-loss condition.
Preserving Health and Safety
In addition to structural damage, fire damage can pose health hazards due to toxic smoke residues and airborne contaminants. Professional restoration teams prioritize safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment to minimize health risks for occupants and workers alike.
Preventing Secondary Damage
Prompt restoration is crucial for preventing secondary damage such as corrosion, mold growth, and structural decay. By swiftly addressing fire damage and implementing appropriate mitigation measures, professionals can mitigate long-term consequences and preserve the integrity of the property.

My tears ricochet | mafia!carlos sainz jr x reader
Prologue | part 1 | part 2 | Part 3| Part 4 |part 5| part 6 | part 7
Part 8
summary: Mr. and Mrs. Sainz lived in a dream for many years, now everything is falling apart and they need to deal with their feelings
warnings:Grammar mistakes, mentions of violence, Carlos is an idiot, mentions of cheating, sexual content, angst, mentions of Charles and reader.
“And you're tossing out blame, drunk on this pain, crossing out the good years, and you're cursing my name, wishing I stayed look at how my tears ricochet”
I spend two weeks in a daily and torturous routine.
When I finally get home after the suffocating days in the field for that damn wedding I look for the envelope that had previously been very well hidden.
I lock myself in my painting room, I leave a drink next door as a friend and an old vinyl playing, the first time I opened that envelope I needed to take my time, consider if that’s really what I wanted, things seemed to be going better after all...
When I’m finally sure I want it, I open it and read it, Carlos was right, he had been as fair as possible when putting together the papers. He provided me with a good amount of money that would give me a comfortable life, I would have an apartment, I could stay with the country house and a car, I would have access to his lawyer whenever I needed and a phone available 24 hours in case of any emergency.
I signed those damn papers in that first day, and honestly it was the easiest part of all this, I lacked the strength now to continue on this journey.
For two weeks I tortured myself looking at these papers, looking at my signature there, and when I wasn’t looking I kept remembering him. I remembered him even after my daily race with paco, or when I lay in bed now with Carlos back by my side, at dinner time or when Carlos presents me with a new armored car.
My routines bother me because I know they will no longer be a routine for me after I get divorced, the new car does not cheer me up because it won’t even be mine, and if I really were to ask for something it wouldn’t be a car, nor an object or jewelry.
When the 16th day arrives to face the document whose words I already know by heart I know that I really have to do something for myself, I have to be strong and continue with it, I have to start my life from scratch.
I was afraid that this time it was Carlos who would deny himself, that he would make me stay and I know I would, because I loved him despite everything. And I needed to love myself a little more, so I needed to put myself first this time and I knew I would need to make this irreversible both for me and so much for him.
That’s why I give lando time off and take the opportunity to go out alone in the late afternoon knowing that Carlos could not come back so soon because he had problems at work, I drive nervously through the streets of Madrid, in the new green Aston Martin until I found the building I was looking for.
I didn’t allow myself to drink a sip of alcohol or at least smoke a cigarette, an old teenage habit that seemed to be coming back in the last few days, I needed to do it sober and without excuses.
I look at myself in the rearview mirror and get out of the car before I start thinking too much, the delicate white miu miu dress adorning my body and the noise of the heels hitting the stairs of the building distract me, and when I finally get to the door of the one who was going after it I give me some time to breathe, I needed to do this.
Maybe I would never forgive myself with what I was going to do from the moment I knocked on that door but it was necessary, because that way Carlos wouldn’t forgive me either.
I fix my hair properly brushed and falling on my shoulder, smooth the fabric of the midi dress and grab my bag tightly as if it were my saving boat.
I don’t need more than two knocks on the door to be received, my perfume mixing with the owner of the apartment in the hallway with the simple gesture of opening a door, I smile no nervous this time.
“Y/n” Charles exclaims surprised to see me, he looks at my figure in front of him as if it were something mythological and I know I made the right choice when choosing to come right here. “Please enter, did something happen? Do you need anything?”
“Thank you” I thank him, crossing the door, entering his privacy. I try not to feel guilty about what I’m going to do to him, for taking advantage of the way I saw his eyes sneaking to me several times and how he has always been kind to me. “Actually, yes...”
He is enchanted by my smile, too lost in me and I feel like a mermaid enchanting him. He would never know but it would be thanks to him, Charles Leclerc, that I would finally get my exit card, and it would no longer be Mrs. Sainz. I let the bag fall on the table, a programmed gesture, showing the lack of a ring in the left hand, the same ring I had left at home before leaving.
I approach him, all the gestures very well thought out, very well articulated and I observe how darker the green iris of the man in front of me get.
“I need your help...” I sigh, giving time until my next sentence, I lay my hand on his chest and I feel strange. “With something very intimate actually”
It’s strange to be so close to another man who wasn’t my husband, it’s strange for me to wear this skin as if I were the most seductive woman in the world when I was shaking underneath, afraid of this crazy idea going wrong, afraid of being rejected and becoming a joke. The man in front of me still seems in a trance, and I understand why he is so astonished, it is not every day that his boss’s wife knocks on your door begging you to fuck her. Although he still didn’t know the last part.
I take advantage of his shock and continue with the initiative in hand, I lower the zipper of the dress and let it fall on the floor in a dry thum, I stay there in front of him, exposed in only burgundy color heels and the delicate white lace panties.
“Y/n” Charles whispers in shock, his eyes taking detail from every piece of my naked body in front of him, his muscular arms not knowing how to behave. “You?”
“Don’t make me beg for you, Charlie,” I whisper, and I feel like the most daring woman in the world. “Don’t make me regret giving you this chance...”
He doesn’t make me regret it, he’s quick to take an initiative, he’s quick to take action, hands exploring my body and taking his time, taking advantage of the moment and afraid that maybe I would disappear in front of him like magic. He kisses me as if he was waiting for it all his life and when he kneels in front of me he looks at me as if he were greeting a goddess, this image of him constrating with the rigidity he wore on a daily basis, the delicacy with which his callous hands touched me, the bipolar way his eyes face me - full of desire, ferocity and passion and at the same time looking like a child in the candy store.
He is careful and leaves no marks on my skin, although I believed he would like it. I don’t need to remind him that no one could ever know this while he helps me get dressed, he knows he would be a dead man if Carlos found out.
And besides the fact that I actually used him tonight, I know that none of us regretted what happened when I walked through the door of his apartment and went back to the future no longer my house.
I take advantage of the last hours in that house to say goodbye, I look at all the rooms and remember the good things I lived there, I observe all the corners and windows, all the paintings and tapestries.
The things I most esteemed in that house had already left earlier, going to a hotel in the city next door, I did not take gifts or jewelry, nor the expensive and exuberant clothes, I needed to start from scratch with just a few sentimental things, good and lived memories of an old joy that I lived in this place along with the small paco that would gain a new home with me.
I observe the papers in my hand and the wedding ring I hold, not daring to use it since the night before. In one last breath I enter Carlos’ office, he smiles when he sees me, when he sees me tidy - the mark of the last chapter that I would do it only for him.
“Is everything okay, love?” He asks, noticing my restless figure entering the room.
“Yes,” I answer firmly, everything was fine and everything was going to be right. I put the papers in front of him, the ring landing on top subtly and watch as his face frowns in doubt.
“What....” He looks at me in doubt, doesn’t understand what I’m doing, and I wonder if when he proposed the same thing to me some time ago how I reacted. “You didn’t want a divorce, I thought we were fine? What’s going on, y/n?”
“You were right, Carlos.... We haven’t been well for a long time, we’re just pretending that nothing happened,” I answer him.
“I love you” he speaks, voice rising a tone in despair.
“I love you too, Carlos” I sigh, not imagining that this conversation would be so difficult, after all he proposed this to me for the beginning of the conversation. “But we can’t go on like this anymore, we don’t respect each other anymore... it doesn’t work anymore”
“I thought you wanted to forget everything, we could try again from scratch, we can try couple therapy or whatever you want, y/n”
“We can’t, Carlos. And I don’t think even you could...” I murmur.
“What do you mean?”
“I betray you, Carlos” those words look like knives entering him, the pain in his eyes, the posture falling more and more, he looks at me hoping it was just another joke. “As I said before, we don’t respect each other anymore...”
I take advantage of his silence to keep talking, I didn’t want to leave like that, just letting him know that I had disrespected our marriage the same way he did, I wanted to end everything in good memories even though we were already too far from it.
“I want you to know that I don’t regret anything I lived with you, and if I had the opportunity I would do it all over again.” I sigh, his eyes stare at me foggy “I just regret letting things go so far between us, you were right when you said we needed to have finished with everything before, it would have spared us a lot of bad things. I would save myself to remember you with so many bad memories, but I know we had a lot of good memories during our wedding to remember.”
“Y/n... please” he begs, I see a tear come out in the corner of his eyes and I don’t know what he’s begging for, I wipe away the little tears that also run down my face.
“Think of it as a good story, carlos... with some cuts at the end” I try to laugh “ we were a good couple while it lasted, carlos. And I’m honored to know that I had the chance to be yours Mrs. Sainz.”
I approach his body sitting, let myself evaluate his features one last time, observe his brown eyes, his dark hair falling in waves down his face, the way his brown skin is hot even in the slight distance.
“I’ll be waiting for the lawyer to call,” I tell him, the last farewell before turning around and leaving.
I don’t take my time to leave, I had already said goodbye to this house, I didn’t need memories of it the moment I was leaving. I meet lando at the exit, paco in his arms and waiting for myself leaning in the car I was taking with me.
“It was good to meet you, lando” I smile and hug the boy in front of me.
“It was good to be your friend, y/n.” He returns the hug and then looks at me “don’t become a stranger, we can still be friends”
“I’ll keep in touch, I promise” I smile at him “you have a huge future at hand, lando. Believe in me”
I smile, I don’t let myself look at the house behind me, I get in the car and see the companion of my new life through the rearview mirror sitting on his dog support. That was it, I managed to finish this chapter of my life, it wouldn’t be easy but I took the bravest step of my life, and I was free.
I watch the images repeat themselves on television in front of me, the words of the reporter have long in silence in my head, only the scenes repeating themselves in infinite looping.
It had been a month since I had left home and had not received any news about the divorce or Carlos.
Until that moment.
The TV shows images of him, handcuffed hands, face down and the police taking him. The scene leaves me in shock, I don’t know how long I stay in front of the TV watching and understanding what happened, but when I finally come back to me I pick up the phone and call Lando.
The connection is short and full of codes, all afflicted with any threat of also being caught by the police, which forces me to make the 2-hour trip by car to Madrid again. The path is disturbing and I don’t know what to expect, the police had already hit our old house several times, Carlos had already been arrested, staying a day or two until they couldn’t prove anything against him, I myself had already been stuck at the police station for one night while the police waited for me to let anything escape. This time it looked different, apart from the tension evident in the call I had with lando, there were newspapers and reporters, and I remember very well the caption on the screen talking about years in prison.
When I get to the house I left in the last month nothing seems to have changed, except the whirlwind of men running through every corner as in a war, which in this case seemed to be against justice. Lando seems to wait for me when I enter, I expected there to be some restriction on my presence but no one says anything, maybe not yet used to my absence, the house remains practically the same as my gaze while I let myself go up the stairs to the office that was Carlos’s, Charles is inside and when we enter he hangs up the phone.
“I was talking to the lawyer” he sighs, scratches his head and then smiles at me “it’s good to see you, y/n”
“I figured I would need to come and get the protocol if the police knocks on my door” I say, I sit in the chair for visits and wait for the right arm of the sainz family to pass the news.
“The news is not good...” he murmurs “carlos was caught and this time the police had evidence, we are talking about 5 to 10 years in prison according to his lawyer, and this is not the worst part yet...”
“Where do you mean, Charles?” I ask, the anxiety taking over me, making the white silk pants pinch on my body.
“Carlos never went to court with the divorce application” he scores the words by taking the document and showing me, only my signature there. “What keeps you both married, you don’t have to depose against him if you don’t enter the protocol...” he sighs and looks at lando as if he didn’t know how to follow from that information.
“And there’s the business part...” lando starts talking, sits next to me “the other families are afraid after prison, and they will prefer to negotiate with a face they already know”
“What you mean is that I should tear these documents and pretend I’m still married to Carlos?” I ask when interrupting the thought of the two, understanding where the conversation came from.
“Carlos’ own father gave this idea, you know that he does not intend to return from retirement... and he trusts you to manage it” the leclerc speaks, the figure tense with the whole situation and standing in front of me contrasting with the one I had the opportunity to be weeks ago.
“That’s a lot” I murmur, tilt my head back and close my eyes, pondering the turn my life was taking.
“We know, and Charles would still be here as a right-hand man to help, you would have everyone’s support if you want to stay, y/n! But we also understand if you just want to go, I know you were trying to leave all this behind” lando says, his words touching me gently.
“It seems that this life never lets us move forward, doesn’t it?” I ask a rhetorical question, I get up and cross the table, I watch Carlos’ chair that I sat so many times playing.
It’s a risky decision, it’s a decision for a lifetime, I was trying to start from scratch, have a new life and move on. But maybe that was it. I had moved on without Carlos, I could move on taking his place, without him in my life, maybe that was what the future was waiting for me. I sit slowly in his chair, I take my time feeling the feeling of being there, of what it means to sit there.
“Do I need to know anything else before tearing these papers?” I ask the men in front of me.
“You won’t like this part” Charles says and I wait for him to continue “as you are married, let’s say you are entitled to an… intimate visit”
I watch him speak, his hand scratching the back of his neck and I interrupt his discomfort.
“A visit that is not recorded or supervised... carlos explained to me a few times about it”
“It’s just in case you need to inform something that the police should not know and if you feel uncomfortable about it we will find another way” he is quick to explain himself.
“I can take it, Charles. Don’t worry”
“They’re going to do a complete review, y/n. It won’t be comfortable for you and honestly I’m not comfortable of having to use this method with you to talk to Carlos, but let’s find a way along the way for you to avoid it, okay?” It is comforting to listen to the words of the leclerc, to realize the care with the choices of word and the care with the situation that I will be exposed to, worrying about my well-being.
“Thank you, Charles. I need you to keep me updated about the whole situation and I also need your help so that business continues to happen” I smile weakly at them, take the papers in front of me and tear them “it seems that the sainz family finally won a female leader”
Charles was right when he said that it would not be easy for me to make that kind of visit, at all times I felt uncomfortable, although the worst part had been seeing Carlos again. It was horrible to see him in that situation, in a dimly lit cell, in an inmate uniform. He seems surprised to see me, but he doesn’t smile or at least say something, his head is quick to understand the whole situation and he knows at that moment we are talking on an equal footing.
Not as husband and wife, but from boss to boss.
He understands that today his life inside this prison and his future depend solely on me now.
The conversation is tense although the two understand that they need to leave inequalities aside at this moment, we need to be adults and talk about business and not about our problems. Nothing could make this conversation as comfortable as possible, not even if I eliminated the part of the body review or the wet cell we were in.
It’s libertating when I can finally get out of that prison, when I can go back home and stay away from that situation, Charles was right and would need to find another way to communicate with Carlos.
When I get home stunned and urgently in need of a bath, a strange sight in my living room makes me stop and observe the abnormal object in front of me, nailed to the wall that before was empty.
Madame Monet and her son face me, the painting on the wall of my living room where it definitely shouldn’t be, I paralyze looking at the painting that I admired, which should be in the United States on the other side of the ocean.
“You were right, it’s a beautiful painting” the soft voice of charles resonates behind me, taking me out of the trance I was in.
“This really is the ...” I don’t have the courage to finish the question, still in shock, with the painting in front of me and with the action of the man next to me.
“Yes” he says, body next to me admiring the Monet in front of us.
“I didn’t know we were involved in the theft of works of art now,” I murmur in disbelief.
“We can say that he wasn’t really at the museum...” he smiled “you said it would be a dream to be able to see him every day... I thought it would be a good welcome gift for you”
“I really have no words to thank, Charles” I smile at him, my face moved. I didn’t know how to thank him for his gesture, not because it was great on his part but because it was emotional and important to me, I also didn’t know how to thank him for what he gave me without even knowing, the freedom I gained. “Thank you very much”
“You deserve... much more than that, much more than you imagine”
“I don’t want to go back there anymore, Charles.” I sigh tired, defeated.
“So you won’t...” he replies calmly “you order it here now, y/n. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want, your voice is the rule now”
These words make me alert of my position now, make me aware of where I am now and what I am now.
Although I had never even imagined becoming what I am now, I could not imagine myself doing anything other than that.
“Yes,” I smile at the leclerc next to me, “it’s good to know that”
A year ago things were very different, now everything changed. I had accused Carlos of having contaminated me with his business but maybe I just liked the way things were and let his darkness make me like him. There were many things that I stopped being and many things that I became on this journey.
And I wouldn’t have done anything different.
We have reached the end of a journey! Thank you very much for all the comments and affection you left along the way! ❤️❤️❤️

Not enough people talked about these so I'm gonna do it myself because oh my god (commentary and headcanons below, it's just long)
Sett has a little travel-sized sewing kit in his bag... it's so tidy... sett stitching things back together when his bandmates rip them...
Sett just casually carries around like 20+ pounds of dumbbells. Mans is literally always working out. The grind never stops.
"yo Ezreal can you grab my bag for me?" "Yeah sure--what the FUCK do you have in here? This thing weighs a hundred pounds."
His little exercise headband... and is that a hair tie behind it? Sett with his hair tied back??
Sett's energy bar collection. Sett's the type of person to pack an entire backpack full of snacks for a road trip.
Ezreal has a plushie OF HIMSELF on his bag.
this guy practically collects aesthetic glasses. 3 pairs in the bag plus the circle ones he had in PARANOIA.
Sharpie (for signing autographs???) His signature on the polaroids of himself???
The photo under the lip balm looks like it might be Ezreal and Aphelios. Ezreal's the type of person to make sure he has photos with all of his friends. Ezreal hanging up his favorite polaroids in his room.
can we talk about the all-white fit in the very bottom photo omg
Aphelios has back-up headphones for his headphones.
WHO SENT THE SNACKS. WAS IT ALUNE. WAS IT SOMEONE ELSE.
The writing on the note looks like Korean but unfortunately I don't know any Korean :(
his sticky noted book... is it a journal? is it full of lyrics? who put the little smiley face sticker on the front!! does he write in it!!
I love the idea of Aphelios just pulling out a little keyboard whenever he wants to write down a tune. How well can he play the piano? Only enough to write music, or does he have songs memorized? Does he ever play for anyone?
K'SANTE'S DRAWING TABLET
he's not just in charge of putting together their fashion, he designs it himself. i'm going to scream
I am in love with those glasses. I need art of k'sante in those glasses ASAP. i will do it myself if i have to.
What is his book!! What does the W stand for!!
The way the button on his gloves matches the one on his jacket in his LoL splash art. This tiny detail is driving me insane.
Also, the cologne? The top is the same as his necklace? Does he have a specific personal cologne? So elegant...
Kayn's Pentakill guitar pick. Let me see him play the guitar I beg
The crumpled up receipts. This man goes Shopping (also see: cash, various coins). And he just has a bunch of random shit in his bag because he never bothers cleaning it out.
the open leaking bottle of hair dye. please. do you NEED that
The random jewelry... I love the idea of him either a) taking it off, shoving it in his bag, and forgetting where he put it or b) bringing backup drip with him everywhere in case he needs more
While Sett, Aphelios, and Yone all opted for headphones, Kayn's gone with good old-fashioned corded earbuds. Does he not like headphones? Is it because they mess up his hair?
Big ass box of matches and For Why? Does he smoke? Is he too cool to carry around a lighter? Does he just like setting shit on fire?
Yone keeps a little emergency travel kit. Band mom energy. He's got band-aids and a toothbrush and toothpaste At The Ready.
Bottle of lotion? Yone with a skincare routine? Yone who stays moisturized? Everybody in Heartsteel asking Yone for lotion?
Earplugs (for sleeping on long bus rides, maybe?) I want to see Yone going "I'm sick of this shit" and tuning the fuck out.
Yone is the only one with a real headphone case. Aphelios has his around his neck 24/7, but his wireless earbuds have a case. Sett's just shoving his in there with twenty pounds of dumbbells and hoping for the best.
Yone's got so many little gadgets and I don't even know what they all are. He has his laptop and (probably) his phone, plus a smartwatch, and maybe a portable charger? He's that prepared.
I can't tell what the object beside his smartwatch is (looks wooden?) If anyone knows, let me know? I'm so curious
This man's got even more stuff inside his bag. Yone doesn't leave the house without like fifteen things in case of an emergency.
good news everyone. i'm still losing my mind over them

Dealing with Chronic Gastro Pain
Explaining Pain Levels
The pain scale actually has standard explanations which divides pain into three categories ranging from mild for lower numbers, moderate to cover the middle numbers, and severe for numbers above seven. Even this isn’t very clear, however, because as previously stated mild or moderate pain means different things to different people. Most of us need a way to break down those categories a little further:
⚠️ Mild Pain. On the pain scale, this level of pain ranges between numbers one and three, and can be categorized as nagging or annoying. You are aware that it’s there, but it doesn’t necessarily interfere with life on a daily basis and you are able to carry on with most of the activities you enjoy. Pain at the level of 1 is barely noticeable, at level 2 it’s a little stronger and can be annoying, Level 3 pain can be distracting but you can adapt and manage despite it.
✴️ Moderate Pain. At this level, pain starts to interfere with daily life. At level 4, it’s distracting but you can ignore it when you are very interested in something else. At level 5, it’s hard to ignore and takes a lot of effort to work or mix socially with friends. With level 6 pains, you have difficulty concentrating and it stops you getting on with normal daily activities.
🚨 Severe Pain. Severe pain is that which is disabling, preventing you from performing normal activities during the day or night. At level 7, pain stops you sleeping. Either you can’t get to sleep at all or it will wake you during the night, and keeping up with social relationships is very difficult. When it intensifies to level 8, pain makes even holding a conversation extremely difficult and your physical activity is severely impaired. Pain is said to be at level 9 when it is excruciating, prevents you speaking and may even make you moan or cry out. Level 10 pain is unbearable. You will be bedridden and possibly even delirious.

When To Use The Emergency Room
🚨 Signs Of An Emergency
How quickly do you need care? If a person or unborn baby could die or be permanently disabled, it is an emergency.
Call 911 or the local emergency number to have the emergency team come to you right away if you cannot wait, such as for:
Choking
Stopped breathing
Head injury with passing out, fainting, or confusion
Injury to neck or spine, particularly if there is loss of feeling or inability to move
Electric shock or lightning strike
Severe burn
Severe chest pain or pressure
Seizure that lasted more than 1 minute or from which the person does not rapidly awaken
Go to an emergency department or call 911 or the local emergency number for help for problems such as:
Trouble breathing
Passing out, fainting
Pain in the arm or jaw
Unusual or bad headache, particularly if it started suddenly
Suddenly not able to speak, see, walk, or move
Suddenly weak or drooping on one side of the body
Dizziness or weakness that does not go away
Inhaled smoke or poisonous fumes
Sudden confusion
Heavy bleeding
Possible broken bone, loss of movement, particularly if the bone is pushing through the skin
Deep wound
Serious burn
Coughing or throwing up blood
Severe pain anywhere on the body
Severe allergic reaction with trouble breathing, swelling, hives
High fever with headache and stiff neck
High fever that does not get better with medicine
Throwing up or loose stools that does not stop
Poisoning or overdose of drug or alcohol
Seizures
If you are thinking about hurting yourself or others, call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org. You can also call 1-800-273-8255 (1-800-273-TALK). The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline provides free and confidential support 24/7, anytime day or night.
You can also call 911 or the local emergency number or go to the hospital emergency room. DO NOT delay.
If someone you know has attempted suicide, call 911 or the local emergency number right away. DO NOT leave the person alone, even after you have called for help.
✴️ When To Go To An Urgent Care Clinic
When you have a problem, do not wait too long to get medical care. If your problem is not life threatening or risking disability, but you are concerned and you cannot see your provider soon enough, go to an urgent care clinic.
The kinds of problems an urgent care clinic can deal with include:
Common mild illnesses, such as colds, the flu, earaches, sore throats, migraines, low-grade fevers, and limited rashes
Minor injuries, such as sprains, back pain, minor cuts and burns, minor broken bones, or minor eye injuries
⚠️ If You Are Not Sure, Talk To Someone
If you are not sure what to do, and you don't have one of the serious conditions listed above, call your provider. If the office is not open, your phone call may be forwarded to someone. Describe your symptoms to the provider who answers your call, and find out what you should do.
Your provider or health insurance company may also offer a nurse telephone advice hotline. Call this number and tell the nurse your symptoms for advice on what to do.
✅ Prepare Now
Before you have a medical problem, learn what your choices are. Check the website of your health insurance company. Put these telephone numbers in the memory of your phone:
Your provider
The closest emergency department
Nurse telephone advice line
Urgent care clinic
Walk-in clinic

Visiting the ER for Chronic Pain
How to reduce stress and suspicion when seeking chronic pain medications.
1. Make sure that you have a regular physician who treats your chronic pain.
That’s a relationship that all chronic pain patients should establish before they ever set foot in an emergency room, Blumstein says. But many people don’t have a doctor, he says, “and it looks really bad from a doctor’s point of view when a patient comes in and says, ‘Oh, I have this terrible chronic pain,’ and the doctor says, ‘Who’s taking care of this terrible chronic pain?’ and the patient says, ‘Oh, I don’t have a doctor.’”
“Before you get into a situation where there’s an exacerbation of your condition, make sure you have a regular doctor treating you,” he says.
2. Show that you’ve tried to contact your regular doctor before you go to the ER.
If you’ve been in pain for five days and have not alerted your doctor, the ER staff will question how bad your pain really is, Blumstein says. Even if the pain struck just that day, make an effort to contact your regular doctor first, he suggests.
ER staff will be more sympathetic to patients who have called their doctors and been told to go to the emergency room because the doctor was unable to see them, Blumstein says. “At least you’re showing you made an effort. You’re using the emergency room as your treatment of last resort, as opposed to the primary place you go for pain medication.”
3. Bring a letter from your doctor.
“A letter from your physician, with a diagnosis and current treatment regimen, is a reasonable thing to carry with you,” Fraifeld says. “Particularly if you’re on chronic opioids in today’s atmosphere, I would highly recommend that to patients.”
Make sure the letter has your doctor’s name and phone number, Blumstein says. That way, if ER doctors want to contact your physicians, they can. A letter is especially useful if you’re traveling or going to a hospital that you’ve never visited before.
It’s fine to bring medical records, too, Fraifeld says. But don’t overdo it, Blumstein says. “I’ve had patients come in with tons of records -- I mean, you could measure the stack in inches. It just looks like you’re going overboard.”
4. Bring a list of medications.
Bring a list of your medications, instead of relying on memory, Blumstein says.
Fraifeld takes it one step further and suggests that patients bring the drugs. “Take all the pain prescriptions with you -- the actual bottles -- not just the list,” he says. “[Patients], I’m sad to say, highly contribute to their own problems by not even being able to tell physicians exactly what they’re getting and when they got it and whom they got it from.”
5. Work cooperatively with emergency room staff.
“It might not be fair, but if a patient comes in screaming and shouting that they need pain medication right away, the staff isn’t going to like it. It calls negative attention to yourself,” Blumstein says. “And it is unfair, because you might be having agonizing pain, and why shouldn’t you speak up for yourself, right? But a lot of staffs don’t like it and they don’t respond well to it. So rather than demand things, try to work cooperatively with the staff.”

Stomach Pain
For mild abdominal pain, call your doctor first. If the pain is sudden, severe or does not ease within 30 minutes, seek emergency medical care.
Sudden abdominal pain is often an indicator of serious intra-abdominal disease, such as a perforated ulcer or a ruptured abdominal aneurysm, although it could also result from a benign disease, such as gallstones.
Continuous, severe abdominal pain—or abdominal pain accompanied by continuous vomiting—may indicate a serious or life-threatening condition, such as one of the types described below.
Symptoms of appendicitis may include severe pain (usually in the lower right abdomen, but may start anywhere in the abdomen), loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting or fever. Treatment generally requires urgent surgical removal of the appendix. Long delays in treatment can cause serious complications resulting from perforation (rupture) of the appendix, which can lead to a life-threatening infection.
Symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy include severe abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. In an ectopic pregnancy, a fertilized egg has implanted outside of the normal site in the “womb” or uterus, such as in the fallopian tubes.
Symptoms of acute pancreatitis usually include pain in the middle upper abdomen that may last for a few days. The pain may become severe and constant, or it may be sudden and intense. It may also begin as mild pain that gets worse when food is eaten. Other symptoms include nausea, a swollen and tender abdomen, fever and a rapid pulse.

Moon variant Oc Sora 6ft
Sora is a free roam animatronic that acts as a first responder to accidents & emergency. Their main goal is to locate & stabilize the patient until an ambulance can arrive & take over.
Prior to being a free roam bot they were a nurse bot at a hospital as a part of a pare. A spin off series of Sun & Moon animatronics known as the Clouds & Sky series. Namely used in the hospital nursery to give 24/7 care to newborns & new mothers.
However after an incident that cost Sora a grate deal of their more fine tuned functions as well as their Sun based partner. They were down graded & repurposed while still serving under the same hospital.
Their assistance can be denied by patients which dose cause Sora a grate deal of stress despite them showing little to no emotion.
On their spare time or when people don't wish for their help. They assist other bots & animatronics that are in need.
On particularly bad days they give in to a habbit they have, smoking.

When a crackship turned normal ship is becoming your comfort ship and it swims in your head 24/7
anyways
I'm really considering gonna rewrite some of the infection AU just to include this dumb ship ☠️
LISTEN IT'S MY AU, I DO WHAT I WANT--
Okay fr, it's not a big difference, so it's not like I had a drastic change
Anyways I'm pretty sure I've never shared this artwork for it here,,, here it is! Alex Laurier, caretaker of the kids, but mainly Ashlyn.
No matter what he is doing, if Ashlyn needs him or if he is tasked to do an assignment with Ashlyn, he must go, no ifs or buts.
We do not speak of his arm. No one speaks of the incident.
`
`
`
Infection Au lore drop here. No spoilers for the deep lore, just putting it behind a read more bc I can
In the facility, he was given access to an area where he does physical assignments with Ashlyn Banner. These are randomly assigned by the man who runs the research.
This all started when they took a field trip to Savannah, GA. The group was looking around, having fun, and overall having a great time. At some point, they remembered they had signed up for a tour in the area a week before the trip, and they decided to check if they even still had it opened. Luckily, they did, so the group walked to where the Sorrel-Weed house was and were met by a woman with piercings. She welcomed them in, checking that they were the group she was touring before beginning the tour. It was the usual biz; she gave facts, showed them rooms, and would discuss the paranormal activity of the house. While the tour guide was showing them the Francis Sorrel Library, her phone suddenly went off.
"Ah...I'm so sorry, this is my emergency phone. I have to get it." She picked up while walking out of the room. "Please stay here while I get this. Don't touch any of the items while I'm gone, I'll be right back!"
With that, the tour lady leaves.
She leaves the room to actually discuss an actual emergency (something was going on at the facility she worked at).
And while she was gone, Aiden decided to peak out the door to see where she went off to.
"Um, Aiden? What are you doing?" Logan asked. "Checking to make sure the coast is clear, duh" Aiden replied, walking out the door.
So, he forces the group to follow him so they could explore. Tay was all over for this idea, just wanting to look around.
While they looked around, Ashlyn got a strange feeling in her stomach. She felt as though they should head back to the room before the tour guide came back. But she didn't speak up. Eventually they make it to the basement (I'm assuming, idk I've never been to the Sorrel-Weed house), and Ashlyn senses a strange presence in the room. She looks over to where the phantom was in the canon, but nothing is there. "Whatcha looking at?" Aiden asked, scaring Ashlyn. "Ah! Stop sneaking up on me like that!" She yelled. Aiden turned to where she was looking at and started walking towards the room. "What are--" "Oooh, what's this?" Aiden interrupted. The others followed behind, and Ashlyn had no choice but to follow.
They saw a small plant like material in the corner, it's pattern sort of resembling a smile if you really squinted your eyes.
"Say, didn't Logan tell us his grandparents run a plant shop?" Aiden asked, "Um…it's flowers actu--" "Same thing! So, what kind of plant is it?" Aiden asked curiously. Logan took a closer look, but he scrunched his brows, stepping back. "I'm… I'm not sure. Looks nothing like what I've studied." "Maybe we can ask the tour guide when she finds us? She's bound to know--" Before Taylor finished her sentence, Aiden threw a book at the plant, which caused it to release a cloud of smoke. COUGH COUGH "AIDEN!! What the hell was that for?!" Tyler yelled out, gagging as he was unfortunately close to it. Aiden coughed harder than him, having been the one who got the most in his lungs. "I'm sorry! I got curious if it would do something when I threw a book at it!" "What did you think the plant was going to do?? Read us a bedtime story?" Ashlyn wheezed as she wiped the dust off her face. She observed it closely, wondering what the particles even were. 'This…. this doesn't look normal…' Ashlyn thought. "Excuse me?? What are you kids doing down here?? I told y'all to stay in the room!" The tour guide stated. The kids turned around, Whoops, they've been caught. Sigh "Never mind, y'all are young, I can't blame anybody. Let's head back to continue the tour…" She stated, rubbing her eyes.
Ashlyn felt wary of the plant, but it didn't really matter to her. 'It's not our problem anymore.' she thought.
...
The dust never left.
(woah Hoza actually wrote the beginning??) Anyways, that's all I'm sharing, ty for reading my Infection AU snip-shots.

From the Ashes Pt. 28
Pairing(s): Pairing(s): Rhaegar Targaryen x Lannister!Reader, one-sided!Jaime Lannister x Lannister!Reader, Jaime Lannister x Cersei Lannister
Warnings: slow burn fic, changing povs, Thalina POV
Words: 1646
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 3.5 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11 Part 12 Part 13 Part 14 Part 16 Part 17 Part 18 Part 19 Part 20 Part 21 Part 22 Part 23 Part 24 Part 25 Part 26 Part 27 Part 29 Part 30 Part 31 Part 32 Part 33 Part 34 Part 35 Part 36 Part 37 Part 38 Part 39 Part 40 Part 41 Part 42
Book Two of Dārilaros hen ōrbar se perzys (Heir of Ash and Fire)
Thalina always lit a candle for (y/n) as she was carried in the gentle arms of sleep. The flicker that accompanied the playful shadows behind it would surely keep her safe from harm.
“Sweet dreams, (y/n).” Thalina smiled and with a delicate touch closed the door. Behind her was the disapproving mug of the septa that Queen Rhaella had employed for the young (y/n). “Is something wrong?”
“You should put out that candle. What if caught on something and lit the whole room aflame? Prince Rhaegar would be sure that your punishment is severe for such a thing.”
Such a hooked nose, this one has. Thalina thought to herself all the while Septa Agostina spieled on about the dangers of fire as if she didn’t know already.
Continuing to keep her smile of honey and dew, Thalina nods. “I hear your concerns. But you don’t have to worry.”
That seemed to irritate the old crone even more but as she was about to spit something out, a maid scurries to push the septa ahead. Septa Agostina grumbled and shook her head.
They weren’t completely out of Thalina’s ear shot when they began to whisper.
“She is from Volantis. They have different customs than us.” the maid tries to soothe the red cheeked septa.
“Bunch of heathens they are worshipping false gods.”
Ah. Didn’t everyone believe their god was the one true god? And how did they know if she worshipped the Westerosi gods or not. Small minds, Thalina had to remind herself, are afraid of what they have not experienced out of the comfortability of their cages. More than likely neither of them had ever traveled to the beautiful land of Essos and visited Volantis. It was true that crime was rampant through the slums but what major society didn’t have such?
All she could do was sigh and continue to her room.
She missed home.
The beautiful sunrises and sunsets that she could see from her narrow window were so vibrant. Most days on Dragonstone consisted of clouds and gray. A chill prevalent in the air that had made (y/n) catch a cold many times. There was no beauty to the small island of Dragonstone. No matter. Thalina wasn’t there for the beautiful landscapes. She had an important duty ahead of her.
Once in her room she makes sure to snap the lock shut. Normally the doors of servants didn’t have locks. Faster access to them if there was an emergency. Thalina installed one herself. She possessed such items that could not be seen by anyone else.
Bed frame pulled out a few centimeters, she thrust her arm into the space between bed and wall. Fingers wiggled and searched desperately for a latch that opened a trapdoor below. The latch was in the most inconvenient place she could think of. Somewhere no one would immediately guess. Thalina bit her lip until finally finger tips bumped into cold metal. Strained grin, she tugs it then rolls off her bed and onto the floor. Belly pressed firmly against the floor panels, she crawls underneath her bed and slides open the now unlocked trapdoor. So much effort for a seemingly normal box. Soon, it would contain the most precious thing in the world.
She slipped a few times on her way up to Dragonmont. The ancient volcano which gave rise to the island of Dragonstone was still active as was evident by the lazy, pale, gray smoke that danced upward.
“Dovodedha hae mirre.” Clumsy as ever. Thalina laughed tiredly to herself. The hike up was tiresome and her knee still ached from her most recent fall. The rotten smell of sulfur stung her nose and she knew her hair would be reeking of it when she returned.
Hopefully her efforts wouldn’t be in vain. Even now she still doubted her visions she saw in the flames. What if they were wrong?
“No!” Thalina hisses and stops to literally shake her head free of such thoughts. She couldn’t think like that. Times like that she wished Rhiannon had been allowed to go at her to Westeros. Rhiannon was always so confident. As a child Thalina had hated that about her. It made her that much harder to get under control. In those early days, Thalina was both mother and sister to Rhiannon. Often the two roles clashed and caused Thalina to constantly doubt herself on how she was raising Rhiannon. A daunting task for any young child. She wouldn’t have had it any other way though. There were times before finding the Red Temple where both would be aching from hunger, Thalina had contemplated on sending little Rhiannon to an orphanage. Perhaps she would have a better chance there than out in the street. Uncomfortable with the idea of anyone else raising her sister it was a thought that was easily discarded. They would be together through thick and thin.
Except for now.
Panting, Thalina gazes up at the looming volcano. “Rhiannon, lend me your strength little sister.”
And as if somewhere in Essos Rhiannon did indeed hear her older sister’s plea, Thalina felt her body revitalized. Off to the side of Dragonmont was a hardly used path that led to the other side of the volcano base. In the legends that Queen Rhaella told (y/n) and Viserys that was where the dragons bred and protected their eggs.
And she knew from having scouted the volcano before of the entrance on the other side that leads inside. The walls of the inside were black and shimmered when the light of her torch touched them. Dragonglass. Thalina had yet to explore the rest of the volcanic cave’s various tunnels. Now that she had completed her puzzle box, there was no more excuse for not investigating them.
An opal she had seen in her marigold visions in the flames. Large with scales etched into it.
“I know you’re in here.” Her whisper bounces back to her as she steps inside of the cave. Eerily quiet it offers her a strange sense of calm that settled her beating heart. When she had searched every nook and cranny of Dragonstone, discouragement often found her. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. As clumsy as she was, Thalina was shockingly stealthy and able to get into any room without being seen. She left no clues of her clandestine visits. Still she had found nothing. One would think that with Aerys’ new fervor of trying to hatch a dragon that there would be at least some locked up in secret. From cellar to dungeons, from Sea Dragon Tower to the Windwyrm. Only dragon statues could be found with open mouths in mocking. After months of nothing, Thalina found her answer during a session of fire reading. It seemed so simple, how had she not thought of the volcano before? Not many people travel that way. A tough terrain, it proves difficult to reach the top let alone proceed to the other side. The only other way would be to travel by boat. Remote with no one having interest in it. A perfect place to search next.
Hours of weaving in and out of tunnels, at least that’s how long Thalina thought it was, Thalina had been able to make a rough rudimentary map of the caves. Her job was done at least for the night. She gathered up her red string that she had been using to prevent her from getting lost.
Sweat had become tacky on her face when she finally got back to the castle. She reached for one of her braids and inhaled. As she had feared it held the faint smell of smoke and sulfur. Grimacing, she would have to sleep with that smell until the morning. It would be too odd if someone were to encounter her that late.
On her path back to her room, Thalina had an itch that she should at least poke her head into (y/n)’s room to see how her little lady was doing. The sweet girl had a tendency to suffer from them. She never spoke about them though. Not even when they reduced her to searching out her maid for comfort. Thalina wished she could look into (y/n)’s nightmares the same way she did with flames.
The little candle had probably gone out some time ago, leaving a small wax stub. Blue moonbeams offer her an even more pleasant source of light.
She hadn’t meant to wake her up when she stepped a foot inside, making a floorboard creek. She had just wanted to see if (y/n) was sleeping peacefully for when she did her face was the purest thing in the world.
Her drowsy head twirls up in a sleepy haze but her eyes cleared up in moments and she realized who it was. “Thalina?”
“I’m sorry to wake you, my lady. I just wanted to check on you.”
“It’s okay.” She said in mid-yawn. Her head plopped back down to her pillow. “But since you’re here. . . Can you tell me another story so I can go back to bed?”
“Of course.” Softly chirped the maid and made the rest of her way to (y/n)’s bedside. Perfectly perched, her hand drifts over (y/n)’s bangs that were splayed on her forehead. “What story should I tell you? Another one of the ancient Targaryen rulers?” (y/n) shook her head. “No? What about the Age of Heroes?” Again, (y/n) shook her head. For (y/n), Thalina put on a fake hard-thinking face. “Alright, I’ll tell you a story that has not yet happened.”
“Not yet happened?”
She nods. “I will tell you the story of a champion that will one day stop an evil force that wreaks havoc on our world. She will bring fire to a land of ice and snow.” In a conspirating manner, she leans in close to (y/n)’s ear. “With the help of dragons.”

[ 🎤 An audio recording from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) which captured the last moments of Hind Rajab, a 7 year-old girl who's family was slaughtered from IOF munitions fire on their civilian vehicle. Hind, trapped in the vehicle, called for emergency assistance and remained on the phone for some time before ambulance crews arrived. The ambulance crew and Hind have since disappeared and their fates remain unknown at this time.]

💥DAY 117: OVER 100 KILLED OVER LAST DAY AS ISRAELI OCCUPATION PUMMELS GAZA WITH MISSILES, DRONES AND ARTILLERY FIRE💥
Upwards of 114 Palestinians were killed and scores wounded over the previous 24-hours as Israel's war of genocide continued for the 117th day.
In Khan Yunis City, Israeli occupation warplanes, artillery, drones and helicopter fire all concentrated on the center and western sections of the city, killing at least six and wounding several others.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) also targeted a residential home in the al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City using missiles, causing dozens of casualties.
Occupation artillery shelling, airstrikes and gunfire launched from Israeli vehicles and jets also concentrated on the northwestern sections of Gaza City, resulting in a number of dead and wounded.
Israeli aircraft also bombarded various areas of Gaza City, making recovery of the dead and evacuations of the wounded next to impossible as bodies litter the streets of the city.
Occupation artillery fire heavily concentrated on the al-Awda Hospital located in the Tal al-Zaatar neighborhood of Jabalia, in the north of Gaza, while Israeli munitions continuously target the vicinity of the Al-Dawa Mosque to the north of the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip.
At the same time, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is reporting the death of a member of PRCS's Security team after occupation forces fired on the team member while he stood at the rear entrance to the hospital complex.
Simultaneously, occupation warplanes dropped bombs around the complex while Israeli soldiers fired small caliber assault rifles and launched several smoke grenades towards the hospital.
Meanwhile, in the central areas of the Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery shelling concentrated on the vicinity of the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, with local medical sources and ambulance crews describing a situation where they are unable to move to evacuate the dead and wounded due to the heavy gunfire and shelling.
Occupation artillery shelling and airstrikes also target the Austrian neighborhood of Khan Yunis, while at the same time, Israeli soldiers detonated yet another entire residential neighborhood in the central Khan Yunis area.
Israeli military bulldozers were also brought into Gaza and began to raze the entirety of al-Shuhada'a street in the al-Rimal neighborhood, to the west of Gaza City, with occupation tanks and armored vehicles protecting the bulldozers from Resistance rockets and gunfire.
Additionally, five Palestinian civilians were killed and many others wounded as a result of the IOF bombing and shelling of Khan Yunis City, while four others were killed and several others wounded after occupation aircraft bombarded Hamad Town, north of Khan Yunis.
In another horrific crime of the Israeli entity, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) is reporting the open execution of 30 Palestinians from Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, after the corpses of the assassinated residents were found inside a school that had previously been besieged by the IOF. According to the report, occupation soldiers bound and blindfolded the 30 Palestinians after stripping them naked and then executed them.
Over the previous 24-hours, the Israeli occupation army has committed a total of 16 massacres, resulting in the deaths of no less than 150 Palestinians, with more than 313 civilians wounded due to occupation artillery, gunfire and airstrikes.
Although the death toll count remains low relative to the reality on the ground in Gaza, the official count of dead has risen to, and is in excess of, 26'900, with an additional 65'949 wounded as a result of Israel's ongoing genocide.

25 Things That Surprised Me as a Brit Living in Japan
1) Shops and supermarkets change their stock regularly. One day you buy ice cream, and when you go back three days later to get some more, it’s gone and there’s no evidence they ever sold it. No “sorry this is sold out”, no empty space where it was.
2) So much single-use plastic. Cookies, cakes, fruits and vegetables etc are individually wrapped, or wrapped in packs of two. To be fair though, Japan is much better at recycling all this plastic. Which leads me nicely on to...
3) PET bottles go in one recycling bin, the plastic labels and bottle tops go in a different one. You can’t just put them in together.
4) Multipack crisps are not a thing. Or if they are, I’m yet to find them. I’m used to getting 24-bag multipacks and adding crisps to my lunchbox, taking them with me in case of sudden hungries and using them to get me by between meals. Here you only really get crisps in sharing-size bags, and there’s much less variety. (Although you can buy chocolate-coated crisps, which sound like a cardinal sin but are pretty tasty)
5) There are lots of varieties of plain yoghurt. There’s not a lot of variety of flavoured yoghurt, especially when it comes to large pots. In the UK I can get strawberry, strawberry wholegrain, raspberry, blueberry, mango & passionfruit, mango & apple, mango & vanilla, vanilla, coconut, lemon curd and so much more in 500g pots. Here I’ve found vanilla, honey and blueberry in 350g pots.
6) Even in the winter when the snowstorms came, there were many non-coniferous trees that remained green. I cannot begin to explain how jarring the sight of such vibrant greenery amongst white snow is when you’re used to winter being a sea of brown and grey.
7) Cars actually stop to let you cross the road. Even if they’re turning into a side-road or at a junction, they stop for you to cross, holding up traffic. In the UK, you would annoy a lot of drivers if you started crossing a junction they were turning into.
8) Squat toilets. They’re not just a thing; they’re a commonplace thing and almost every public toilet seems to have at least one. I’ve never seen anyone opt to use one (apparently it’s easier for pregnant women though)
9) When the emergency services are called, they really show up. My neighbour left her keys in her door, someone called the police, two of them waited for her to return home. That same neighbour accidentally used a dish that wasn’t heat-resistant in the microwave and while there was no fire, there was a bit of smoke. Three fire trucks showed up, as well as police. Not a chance anything like that would happen in the UK.
10) You’re not supposed to thank the cashier after buying something; you’re supposed to just bow and leave. I cannot do this; I am culturally conditioned to thank cashiers and find myself doing it anyway.
11) 99% of (non-sliding) doors open outwards. In the UK, the opposite is true. I assume this is because, in the event of an earthquake causing structural damage, it’s much easier to barge your way out of a door when it opens outwards. In the UK, we’re more worried about people breaking in, and so doors open inwards such that we can barricade them (or so I’m told).
12) There are differences between some fruits and vegetables here. Cucumbers are tiny green wrinkled things that look like alien fingers. Radishes are enormous white monstrosities. Spinach is rarely baby leaf. Pumpkins are green. Sweet potatoes are white inside.
13) There’s not much in the way of caramel or salted caramel, but strawberry-flavoured things (especially chocolate) is very common (as is macha flavour). Things that are caramel flavour are more like burnt toffee flavour.
14) People wear coats when it’s 25ºC outside because apparently that’s not warm for them.
15) Convenience stores have printers that you’re welcome to use any time. You have to pay, of course, but for A4 paper it’s 10 yen per black and white page or 50 yen per coloured page, which is basically nothing. You can also print out things on A3, B4 and B5 paper, as well as photographs and postcards.
16) The stairwell for blocks of flats is typically outside, and then you walk along a walkway outside to get to the door. You don’t typically go into a block of flats. The opposite is true in the UK: you have to go into the building (which is typically locked, so you have to buzz the flat of the person you’re visiting and they’ll open it electronically for you from their flat) and then go up the stairs inside.
17) Bread is not sold with the end slices. It’s also usually sold in loaves of 6-8 slices, all of which are thick-cut and much sweeter than English bread. Typically only white bread is available.
18) Vending machines crop up everywhere in the seemingly most random places. I stg if Erebor were in Japan in the years of Smaug, it would have a well-stocked and fully functioning vending machine.
19) There’s no such thing as pepsi max, although there is pepsi zero. Typically you can’t get pepsi zero from the convenience store (although you can get coke zero) and have to go to the supermarket, but it costs like half the price of coke zero if you can be bothered to make the journey.
20) There are cars/vans with megaphones that just drive around advertising things. One time one passed us by and I asked my friend what the deal was and he said “oh, it’s advertising gas”. They’re also used in election campaigns. I’m still confused by these things.
21) Exposing your bare shoulders is a no-no. Even when it’s 35ºC with 90% humidity, people wear tops with sleeves that cover their shoulders (some even wear long sleeves to stop them from getting a tan). It’s okay if you’re going out on the town, but not as everyday wear.
22) “Milk” and “butter” are flavours. Personally, I think it’s redundant to describe cream as “milk-flavoured” or cake as “butter flavoured”, but it would seem Japanese people disagree.
23) Cash is still used everywhere. I pay my bills at the convenience store in cash.
24) Prices of produce are REALLY volatile. One day you pay 88 yen for a tomato. The next day that same tomato - now slightly mankier thanks to being a day older - is 198 yen. Two days later tomatoes are 98 yen. The next week they’re 128 yen.
25) Shoes off! In the classroom, at the doctor’s, at the office etc, shoes come off at the door and you change into provided slippers. This is now so deeply ingrained in me that I feel uncomfortable when my UK friends send me pictures/videos and they’re wearing shoes inside.
