But yes, I can vaguely talk setting! I think the setting can be very confusing to new players, especially if you just started!! :0 you're dropped into this environment as an amnesiac in your underwear, so overall it's extremely disorienting hfjgh

However, the game knows this, so a lot of characters try to catch you up to speed:

Lena, the lady in the wheelchair in the cafeteria, has probably already given you a primary rundown of the world :]

Joyce, the lady in a boat if you make your way to the left and up to the docks, can go more in depth!

for information about the setting specifically, upstairs in the Bookstore, in the inset wall/alcove, are some maps of the world that your skills help describe to you (a dialogue with my favorite Empathy quote and Volition quote :3)

if you have points in Encyclopedia and are willing to read, he'll absolutely talk your ear off about fun facts and trivia about the world!

fantasy France (francetasy...) is very correct hgkjg The setting, in summary:

You've been called to investigate a murder in a small, poorly maintained district called Martinaise. this district was once a hot spot for communists during the revolution, then quickly became a hot spot for Coalition (<- government) bombings once that revolution was quelled. it has not recovered well.

Martinaise is a district in a city called Revachol, the ruined former capital of the world. (a lot of Disco Elysium's setting follows this washed out, former glory vibe.) Revachol is a very large city, and she loves you. :)

Revachol is a city on the island of Le Caillou. This is an island in the isola (<- think of these like countries/continents) of Insulinde.

Insulinde, and all the other isolas, make up the world of Elysium. Isolas are land masses separated by the Pale, like how our continents are separated by water, but also if the water was slowly swallowing all life and matter into nothingness unless you think about poetry really hard :] Joyce can tell you more about that if you're curious!

you are a member of the Revachol Citizens Militia, or the RCM, which exactly as Siam said, just means you're a cop and people do not like you because cops suck hdjgh but its a fascinating perspective to play through, because of the aforementioned authority things :] you can get away with a lot of shit!!

you are a member of the RCM's Precinct 41. (Kim is from the 57th.) aside from being a cop, you are a middle-aged man who has gone through a lot and fallen through the cracks of a system that does not care. you are haunted by a past that you can barely remember and a reputation that constantly precedes you. honestly, without spoilers, you're just really going through it hgkjg.

Day 1 will let you access around half the map of Martinaise, and the other half will unlock on Day 3! by all means, take your time with exploration, there's a lot to discover :3 once you run around the map enough, it becomes a lot easier to understand the world, i promise hgkjg i hope you enjoy silly disco game anon!!! :D <33

22. do you have a favorite color palette to work with?

not explicitly??? like when i do colour i dont rlly think of palettes i think about the individual objects and their colours and how i think the lighting of the scene would affect it. if im going for a more realism approach. however my fav colours are red and black so i like to use those a lot :3 specifically in my designs if u cant tell jdbcjkbdj<33 if im doing smth more cartoony tho ill use colours in relation to the emotions n mood im trying to convey in a specific peice, im a big fan of the phenomenon where colours are perceived differently when next to other different colours so i like to mess around with a lot of monochrome-ish palettes as well!

Can I just talk about shifting for a second? Yeah? Great 'cause I've been meaning to get this out to people who have some doubts because of where they want to go

I know I can't be the only one that has started a script for a new dr and then ditched it a few lines in because of doubts. Some of these doubts could be about yourself but there are times when it's about the dr in and of itself.

Maybe this universe is dangerous. Maybe it's from a story filled with suspense that kept you gripping to the edge of your seat right until the credits started rolling.

The thing is there is a reason for your longing to be there. No matter what made you think "damn I want to go there", it is valid. Your desire could be derived for a search of adventure or a character that you want to make memories with, but all that matter is your drive to go.

Now these doubts might manifest in different ways. You could find yourself doubting if you'll survive to the end of the storyline or if you would be able to even handle all the stress the characters are put through. I myself have fallen for this trap multiple times. The little voice that lives in my head is strong enough to whisper these things into my ear and I'll listen and let myself be manipulated 50% of the time. Fortunately, I've found one way to distract myself from my fears so much that along the line of the shifting journey, you forget them entirely.

What I do is I think of all the times between the chaotic events. Most movies and books span of multiple days, weeks, months, and in rare cases years. The events are spread out through these time stamps allowing for realistic breaks for our beloved characters. So what happens in these breaks? What hilarious scenarios could fit between two plot points?

These spots perfect for domestic fluff are why keep my fears and doubts at bay. They are what keep me going when I loose hope. Those small moments when you catch them staring at you out of habit, or when you can just joke around with them and who knows maybe you'll end up binging your favorite show together.

so this would be like my 3rd or 4th studio album and everyones least favorite thus far upon intial release, but its one of those albums thats actually really fucking good its just like an entirely different genre than the artists music up until that point. it would be like breakcore edm hyperpop experimental noise music with all my previous albums being well received indie folk/alt rock. its titled “basically i am here (the mouth that runs the mouse it hides the dowsing rod that writhes inside blasphemy plastomy call me (222)-333-4444/do not message that number ive been getting dead animals left on my porch for weeks since i contacted them and i see no explanation other than ive been hexed/cursed/ marked in some way or another by a viscious cult)” its not a very long album but its described as impactful, unexpected, nauseating, and unpredictable. band name is unicorn. a deluxe version of the album is released featuring a lil texas remix, doja cat remix, kero kero bonito remix, and 4 unheard reject songs from the initial release. everyone is shocked and confused as to how i got any of these artists to colab with me. songs would inevitably end up in some edgy tv show probably one of those dark modern remakes of something old and beloved and then the tiktokification would go into full swing (tiktokification began at the release of the deluxe album because of the doja cat remix). i open for lady gaga with songs off this album. my day one stans are furious at my changes. they feel im dishonoring my original feelings behind my other albums. like ive sold out. and to an extent theyre right but i also really did just want to make a different kind of music. really everyone should’ve seen it coming because my previous music was always a little unique and off.

Synchronicity: 10 Signs The Universe Is Speaking To You

What is synchronicity and why does it have such an impact on our lives? Well, whether you believe in it or not, synchronicity is a spiritual phenomena, which is presented by experiencing frequent coincidences, names, phrases, numbers or even seeing the same animal regularly (omens). Coincidence, on the other hand , does definitely exist just like synchronicity, but ther’s a slight difference. Coincidences only happen once and one time only, whereas synchronicity is the same coincidence that keeps getting repeated. Now this is when a simple coincidence that happens to us becomes a sign from the higher realms and the universe. This is when we should take note of it and listen to our intuition, rather than ignoring it. The first person to take notice of synchronicity, was Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Jung, who was talking to a client about a dream they had about a golden sacrab beetle, and before they knew it, they saw one in the window of Carl’s psychotherapy cabinet which was rather majestic considering that species of beetle wasn’t native to Switzerland.

Most people in everyday society believe that synchronicity is utterly meaningless and should be taken as a pinch of salt. However, this is the attitude that feeds mediocrity and unsatisfaction within our lives. By acting this way, we are subconsciously blocking ourselves from experiencing serendipity, joy and blessings that life brings into our path. Ever since we were children, society and our parents have continuously made us believe that the world is dangerous, scary and full of negativity and tragedy. Society doesn’t want you to have a curious mind because society thinks these people have the power to change world instead of conforming like everyone else. So start embracing your inner child and explore the world like you’ve never stepped on Earth before. You’ll begin to see your life as more blissful, wondrous and free, so adopt this attitude and end the cycle of negativity.

1. You keep noticing or hearing their name in random places

Have you ever experienced this? When you consistently hear or see a particular name everywhere on your travels it means that this person male or female, is soon to enter your life in 3D some time in the near future, who will awaken you spiritually and make drastic changes in your life for the better. It can also have romantic connotations as well, which means that they will be manifested as your ultimate lover that you’ve always dreamed of. This is very common with people who are on the twin flame journey, particularly during the seperation stage. The universe gives you these divine messages because it wants you to know that you are still loved by your beloved twin, even though in reality it doesn’t seem like it at all. It’s like the universe is telling you to never give up hope and listen to your higher self.

2. You see angel numbers and sequences on a regular basis

You see numbers like 1111, 777, 888, 111 and many other sequences on a regular basis whether that is on a clock, number plates or telephone numbers. Sometimes you can wake up at the same time every morning or night as well, which often causes many people to freak out. The synchronicity of 1111 is very common within the spiritual community, as it generally means someone special is coming into your life such as a twin flame. However, it can also mean that you are going through a spiritual awakening as well. I have experienced the 1111 phenomena occasionally, but it is not as common for me. My angel number has been 111 for over a year and it continues to be even now. I have also seen 222 and 333 randomly sometimes. These numbers can also represent as a deceased loved one that is trying to communicate with you. See these numbers as a message from a deceased relative that is telling you to keep following your spiritual path and have faith in it.

3. You think of someone and then out of the blue you accidently bump into them

When this happens most people take this as a pure coincidence or chance. This is right, especially when it only happens once and never to occur again. However, when you consistently think of someone and see them randomly on your travels, take note. Do not get this synchronicity confused with stalking, as this can be mistaken very easily. If you keep bumping into someone serendipitously this means that this particular person will have a powerful impact in your life in someway. They can be people you knew in the past or a random stranger you just met yesterday.

4. Hearing a song on the radio that reminds you of someone or scenario that had a significant impact in your life

Have you ever listened to the radio and then a random song plays with lyrics that coincidentally matches up with how you feel about someone or a scenario? I have experienced this several times in my life. This usually happens between soulmates and twin flames during the separation phase of the divine partnership. It is another form of telepathy or psychic communication soulmates and twin flames can experience when they’re not talking to each other in the physical world. Music is created and lead by the emotions and the spirit, so this is why many twin flames and soulmates have experienced this synchronicity while they’re on their spiritual journey to reunite with each other again.

This phenomenon is very common with soulmates, but more so with twin flames. This phenomenon is called telepathy, which means mental communication between two people (whether they are near each other or faraway). Sometimes twin flame or soulmate couples can have telepathic communication - even when they’re on the other side of the world from each other. I have experienced this myself, and I have to confess that I’ve often scratched my head out of pure confusion because the phenomena is just absolutely bizarre. When you see this, the universe is telling you that there is hope and you can escape from what has been holding you back.

7. You meet a stranger that awakens you about a particular aspect in your current life

Throughout our daily lives we meet many people who come in and come out without us consciously thinking about it, but then there’s some people that entered our life in some way that stay in our memory for many days, months, years, decades or even for a lifetime. These people may have been a stranger that helped you or saved your life or that special someone who took your breath away at the first glance of them. These people are usually lightworkers, twin flames, soulmates or your guardian angel that has incarnated on Earth. When you encounter someone like this, you feel an instant connection to them which feels sacred and cosmic. These people are your healers, protectors, divine lovers, soul friends and spirit guides. This why you’ll always remember them for many years. 

8. You consistently see meaningful or sacred symbols

These symbols can be anything that has significant meanings and interpretations or have a religious connection to them. Symbols such as the holy trinity or infinity (lemniscate) are perfect examples of this. On my twin flame journey, I have experienced synchronicity, especially with the infinity symbol so much so that I decided to buy an infinity necklace because it’s meaning meant so much to me.

This is a rarer type of synchronicity, as there are not many movies that have been made, which are nearly accurate to your own life story. If you have experienced this before, consider yourself lucky because it’s very, very rare. I believe that this is the most meaningful and poignant kind of synchronicity that I have listed in this post.

10. Reoccurring prophetic dreams about an event or person that will soon be entering your life

This synchronicity is very common when you begin to start waking up spiritually and develop psychic abilities. When you have very profound dreams that are repeated regularly with the same dream, this is known as clairvoyance or psychic vision. You’ll begin to have these at the very beginning of your spiritual awakening and journey. By having these dreams, you are now becoming self-aware of your divine gifts and talents that you can share with the world, rather than ignoring them and pushing them away.

** hard tommy is the greatest film never written, a time travel comedy where the actor tom hardy is forced to fight in the new napoleonic wars against a clone of napoleon the french have elected president, alongside the actual historic admiral lord nelson who has been preserved in nelsons column for 220 years just for this eventuality, but refuses to fight without his beloved Hardy, so the british government force the actor tom hardy to play the historic admiral thomas hardy, and where it absolutely wasn't kismet, hardy (which is the only scene I've written of course)

hello Siam!! :D oooh yes login bonus time!! i have a singular main brush i use and swear by, which is "softBrush♦B8pencil♦DryInk" [10 Clippy] (Content ID: 1944219) aka "SmoooZZz2" <33 it's soft and wispy and a bit textured and it blends very prettily, i've been using it for a long time! (issues are that it's semi-tranparent, so using it for line art can be a bit of a pain lmao but since most of my art is just colored sketches i can get away with it)

a common thread you'll notice with my brushes is that 1) I LOVE SOFT BRUSHES!! and 2) I LOVE PEN PRESSURE!! so my brushes are soft and/or have a good taper to line widths.

some of my others: - "SOIPEN" [Free] (Content ID: 1778407) used to be my old main go-to, real solid brush, but still soft! good for proper lineart, which i havent done in ages hgjkg - "Yokan brushes (羊羹ブラシ)" [30 Clippy] (Content ID: 1944592) or as i renamed it "softie brush" (it used to just be the japanese characters) is what i use for blush and shading. it's really soft, but still has a harder edge unlike an airbrush, which i like! - "SU Cream Pencil" [Free] (Content ID: 1761353) is a classic, such good textures, really solid brush with a good taper!! :3 - i think Turnip Pen is a CSP default, it came free with your xbox /ref, i basically only use this when i need to color something solidly. (i also have a duplicate one with the no anti-aliasing setting. for homestuck purposes. :3) - Rough 6B Pencil is GONE FOREVER APPARENTLY?? i've looked up the content id and there is nothing hgkjg, so sad </3

other things i recommend: - "[UP] R Colour Gradient Set (Hair/Eyes)" [20 Clippy] (Content ID: 1945188) (and their other ones, if you just go check out the creator HamR, i have White and Pink but the Blonde/Purple/Green sets are new to me, i might get them lmao hgklj) are GODSENDS i LOVE messing with these for gradient maps (let me know if y'all need gradient map advice or anything hjglk), they make colors good :3 - "close and fill tool without gaps" [Free] (Content ID: 1759448) is just like. praise be ice cream fill tool, we all love ice cream fill tool!! please get this if you don't have it already, it's really helpful. you just make a layer beneath your line art, lasso your line art as messily as you want, and it'll fill it in for you, it's WILD man hglk - "BOKE brushes" [Free] (Content ID: 1610288) are really pretty for backgrounds if you fiddle with add (glow) and opacity!! - "A brush set that draws clouds" [Free] (Content ID: 1723992) is really good, i love using this for skies <3 this creator (27pt) has a lot of other good assets too! :D

vibrates intensely hello hi. we are here to infodump a bit about jirachi (the lil yellow and white creature you rbed earlier) ok so:

It has its own movie and it sounds absolutely adorable in it. Here is an iconic scene of it disappearing one of the main characters into a pile of candy. Jirachi Wishmaker was one of our FAVOURITE Pokemon movies growing up, right next to Lucario and the Mystery of Mew FHDNDNFJDKSKD we watched that film SOOOOOO MUUUUUCH GHFJDJFJFJD

It is a psychic/steel type! This typing is. Fairly rare iirc! The only other ones that come to mind rn are the Beldum line and they're pretty cool too (Beldum has the same catch rate as Jirachi/most legendaries despite it not being a legendary!... Its catch rate is 3%. That is. VERY VERY LOW HFJFJSJFCJDJDJFJD)

Jirachi is one of very few legendaries you can still, if you're lucky/wealthy enough, obtain legitimately whenever! You can obtain it from non American copies of the game Pokemon Channel (which is EXPENSIVE) or you can obtain it from the Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc (which came with the actual Pokemon Colosseum games if you preordered it. It is also. EXPENSIVE!!)

Expanding on fact 3, these methods of obtaining it mean it is not shiny locked like most legendaries! This is VERY UNUSUAL and shiny hunting the WSHMKR Jirachi (aka Bonus Disc Jirachi™) is one of the most tedious hunts to go on, but it is WORTH IT. Because having a legitimate shiny legendary is super fucking uncommon. Those are usually only found via events that have long since passed FHDJSJFJFJ

The movie goes over this as it's the whole plot but Jirachi only wakes up for a week once every 1,000 years! Once its awake, it will grant wishes for anyone!
