imagine you're about to be sent to your death. there's no avoiding it, no matter how hard your loved ones tried, you will die, and you're prepared for that. you've said your goodbyes, ensured they could live a good life, and have come to terms with your fate. you're terrified, but it will be over soon, it'll be quick. sacrificing yourself is the correct and only choice.

except. you don't die. instead, you're offered another chance at life. one where you're trapped as a prisoner, experimented on day in and day out. treated like some rat in a cage, some spectacle to be studied, a science experiment rather than a human being. and you're trapped for months. years. so long the days would blur together if you weren't keeping track methodically. if you weren't thinking about the outside world, about your loved ones, about escaping, every single minute of every single day. but the only thing you can do is wait. wait for a chance, an opportunity. wait for the poisons they've been feeding you to take their course and for you to die a slow and painful death rather than the quick one you were promised.

and at this point all you can really think about is how you'll make them pay for what they put you - put everyone - through.

another little doodle I did of younger Ray and Norman, I've been enjoying drawing them recently.

What I had in mind for this was along the lines of Ray having a miserable day, therefore he seeked out relaxation and comfort by simply bringing Norman into what Ray processed as a 'hug'.
