I thought i was the only one who noticed that Harry look so exhausted from the beginning of August 2022 when all the dwd and Olivia drama has been going on, and i went to one of his shows in September i noticed that he performed very gloomy, he didn't interact w the fans much. It's like he started to lose himself, like he would space out for a few seconds while he was singing.

this was the night where i felt so bad for him, you can tell he's very uncomfortable w all the cameras, fans and paps, And then when you look at Olivia behind him, she's smiling like she wants the attention(she does) and she was smiling like there's nothing wrong,from that moment i knew they weren't to last long, i gave it a month or two before they break up and i was right.

this night was a day/night before the DWD release on theaters, they made an appearance in the most crowded city in the world, NYC. It's obvious that they want to be seen, especially the PDA. And if you look closely at Harry's face and his actions you can tell that he's not okay and he's very uncomfortable doing those shits, he was pinching himself in some photos taken by paps.

So ig what he had with Olivia was a lil bit of a emotional abuse(sorry), he was happy at the beginning i think maybe spring/summer 2021 but with all the lies she did and her being exposed he probably realized what he had to do. And as soon as they broke up I've noticed that slowly but surely he came back w his old self.

I was noticing it during the first Europe leg of LOT. when we would see him not on stage he just didn’t look that happy. His sparkle was dim. She dimmed his sparkle. I think after the NY residency he told her not to come to Austin & Chicago. He needed space. Then Midnights came out with Maroon & Question…? and that’s when he decided to end it with Olivia. Then we slowly started to see his sparkle become brighter. Now he says he’s the happiest he’s ever been.

Federal prosecutors in New York say they have charged three people in separate schemes to harass, intimidate and bribe the alleged victims of award-winning singer R. Kelly.  Criminal complaints were unsealed today against Richard Arline Junior of Dolton, Donnell Russell of Chicago, and Michael Williams of Valdosta, Georgia in federal court in Brooklyn.  All three are expected to appear in Brooklyn court at a later date.  Arline, a longtime friend of Kelly, was allegedly captured on FBI wiretap discussing a 500-thousand-dollar payment to a victim to keep her from cooperating with the prosecution.  Russell is accused of threatening to expose sexually explicit photos of a different victim if she doesn’t drop a lawsuit against the entertainer. Intervention #1: “I am a Rock” by Simon & Garfunkel

    About the author: I am a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) working in an addiction treatment center. I would like to use this page to share some interventions that have been received well by the patients that I work with in the hopes that other music therapists in my field may be inspired and feel supported in their work. Feel free to adapt the interventions I share, I would like to be a good “jumping off point” and/or resource to other MTs, specifically working in addiction/mental health. I am by no means an expert, and am still very new to the field, but I hope to share some of the knowledge I have acquired during my time in the field. 

Utilizing the song “I am a Rock” by Simon & Garfunkel to open up lyric analysis and open discussion on feelings of isolation.

I start this group by having the group members read along to the lyrics to “I am a Rock” as I play it live.

I then open up a discussion on thoughts about the lyrics/anything that stands out/ the overall message of the song.

Usually this goes into a conversation about the interesting use of the narrator describing himself as a “rock” and an “island” and why they chose to describe themselves in this way/how the group connects to those statements. 

The conversation usually shifts to feelings of loneliness and isolation and how feeling like a “rock” or an “island” is a defense mechanism to avoiding feelings of pain, grief, trauma, rejection, etc. 

We then transition to a conversation on feelings of connection, why connection is important not only to recovery but to healing and resilience. 

Prompt: “What would connection feel like?” 

I then talk about how music is a great connector, usually citing that it has been studied that people in choirs sometimes sync heart rates because they are so connected in the music

Group members engage in a drum circle (feel free to adapt this any way you would like-- referential/non-referential/introduction to drumming/etc.)

Group discussion of experiences within the drum circle

Group discussion of how we could incorporate “connection” in our lives more

Closing song on the theme of “connection” (such as “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor for example).

**Again, this is meant as a jumping off point, all groups/settings/therapy approaches are different and will require tweaking/adapting!! Be creative with what works best for you and your group! :)
