2023 F1 Baku GP Friday analysis by Peter Windsor

There's a very different look to F1 this weekend in a number of dimensions: qualifying for Sunday's Azerbaijan Grand Prix was staged on Friday and Saturday is given exclusively to an F1 sprint race, with stand-alone qualifying in the morning. There's another big change, too: with a searing lap of the Baku street circuit in the closing seconds of Q3, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc took the pole for Sunday's race ahead of the two Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
