You walk close behind Carlo as he makes his way back inside the house after having a relaxing day at the beach he’d saw the dms from random people about you liking a certain comment “It was an accident. I thought I was liking Carmen’s comment and I don’t know my thumb slipped or—.”
“An accident? You responded to Carmen way earlier that comment was made hours later. Just stop lying for once in your life, yn!”
“No that’s now fair, Carlos. You say I lie all the time? I lie for you! I don’t want this anymore. I want something real…that’s the truth.” Your eyes well up with tears overcome with emotions you sit on the bed feeling deflated.
Carlos sighs and sits beside you, “Y/n…we said from the beginning this would be—.”
“No feelings attached only sex because with both our careers being busy a relationship would not be healthy for us. I have that memorized, Carlos. I know we agreed to that and it was going well,” You quote what he had said to you the night after the México City Gp in 2021 where you two had spent the night together.
“I thought I could have sex with you and have no feelings for you but how can I not? You…you always know what will cheer me up. You are the first person I call or text in the morning even if I’ve had a busy week. You know exactly how I take my tea or coffee, you kiss me with a passion that makes me believe you love me too, you hold me like you never wanna let go…how can I not fall in love with you?”
And there it was. The three words Carlos had been trying to avoid from you not because he didn’t feel the same way but he knew his life and your would ever be stable for a relationship. Among other things he just knew this may not end right if you got into a relationship but now looking at it, this situationship was ending now.
“Y/n…I don’t feel the same way.”

I see some confusion (both real and manufactured lol) about the authenticity of the claims reported by F1-Insider on the Red Bull seat.
There are two main claims in that article
That everyone, including "the Verstappen family" were told by Horner and Helmut that Sergio WILL be replaced by the next race in Zandvoort:
2. That the drastic change of course was the result of Liberty Media (the rights holder to all of F1) pressuring Red Bull not to drop Sergio during the break because it would cost Liberty too much money if the only Mexican driver, who is regarded a hero, is dropped before the Mexican GP- tanking the event:
There has been a lot of handwringing about how F1-Insider is not a reliable news source, this is only partially correct because they are not really AMuS (<- regarded as THE gold standard in f1 journalism and reporting) F1-insider mostly report on other people's interviews and sources, it is however a reliable Verstappen camp source. Ralf Bach, the owner of F1-Insider AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE AUTHOR OF THIS ARTICLE is a career long f1 journalist (30 yr long veteran and is inducted in the paddock hall of fame) has been a Verstappen camp insider since 2016 (think of him as Erik van Haren-lite), if he says something about the Verstappens it is either from Jos or Raymond. He's also by extension close to Helmut (Helmut gave him all those exclusive interviews about how close Red Bull came to bringing Seb back into Red Bull after Ferrari refused to extend him). Most of F1-Insider's interviews are from Red Bull, specifically Helmut and camp Verstappen.
Ralf Bach and Jos are even closer than that because they're friends. In 2021, Jos complained to Bach about Lewis and Toto without knowing he was saying those comments on the record because he thought he was just chatting with Bach as a friend. When Bach wrote about those comments in F1-Insider, Jos tweeted that he doesn't know who F1-Insider is because he didn't know Bach had founded his own company and the website was still quite new. Bach then asked Jos to delete that tweet because it dented F1-insider's credibilty and Jos DID delete that tweet because didn't want to make his friend look like a liar and he HAD said those things to Bach lol. + Bach was only second to EVH when it came to reporting Jos' side of the story when they were trying to overthrow Horner after news of the allegations against him broke.
For Ralf Bach to say, and I quote ,"The Verstappen family were surprised [...] Horner and Helmut gave them a clear statement: Perez is gone" literally means only 1 of 2 things: This is coming directly from camp Verstappen, either from Raymond or most probably Jos given that's his friend and the way Ralf specifically made sure to say 'the Verstappen family' (girl who else? Sophie? Victoria?).
Whether both claims are true can be up for debate but what is a point of fact is that Ralf Bach is reporting what camp Verstappen is telling him they know. And they're telling him that they were verbatim told by both Horner and Helmut that Sergio will be booted on Sunday after the race. The heli ride with Daniel, Max, Jos and Raymond + the fact that camp Verstappen have no reason to lie about this point to at least most of this being true.
#long post#We have to dispel the disingenuous handwringing about how these are all malicious rumours :)#Sorry like Ralf Bach reporting on what the Verstappens are saying and feeling means its coming FROM the Verstappens.#I thought that was common knowledge lol??????#anyway#f1#daniel ricciardo#max verstappen#silly season 2024

--------------
The paddock was alive with the hum of excitement. Amelie had always felt the energy of the Mexican Grand Prix—after all, it was her home race, a celebration that brought the entire family together. But today, there was a twist to that familiar excitement, a sense of dread that sat in the pit of her stomach. She hadn’t wanted to be here, not really. It wasn’t the race, nor the excitement of the weekend, but the inevitable.
She would have to see him. Lando.
The thought made her stomach turn, her palms feel clammy despite the heat of the midday sun. She hadn’t been able to escape the images of him on the screens throughout the paddock—his face, those eyes, the wild mop of curls—but seeing him in person again after almost a year... that was something entirely different.
She and Lando had been close once. Too close. She could still feel the lingering warmth of his touch, his breath on her neck, and the way he had always made her feel like she was the only person in the room. Their messy situation, a relationship that never quite was and yet had never been truly over, had been the backdrop of her life for so long. The late-night texts, the whispers of things unspoken, and the undeniable chemistry that had made everything more complicated.
And then it ended—quietly, unexpectedly, without closure. One day, it was just... gone.
The memories from their time together felt like a haze. In the years since they stopped talking, Amelie had tried to convince herself that it didn’t matter, that it wasn’t a big deal. But deep down, she knew it had been. Lando had been the one person who truly understood her during one of the most chaotic periods of her life. When everything else was spinning out of control, they had shared something that felt real. But like everything else in her life, it was fleeting. Just like the fading glow of a shooting star.
Her eyes scanned the paddock, trying to find a distraction, a way to get through the day without encountering him. But no matter how hard she tried, her mind kept returning to the same thoughts.
Amelie pushed the thoughts of Lando out of her mind as best as she could. She had been doing this for months now, pretending that she didn’t care, that she hadn’t been a mess when they stopped talking. But she couldn’t fool herself anymore, especially not now, standing in the middle of the paddock, surrounded by the excitement of the weekend.
—Amelie!— Charles called, his voice cutting through her tangled thoughts. He waved enthusiastically, drawing her attention.
She smiled, trying to appear relaxed, despite the storm of emotions brewing inside her. —Hey, Charles,— she said, walking over to him.
He grinned, clearly happy to see her. —I see you’re surviving the madness,— he teased.
—Just about,— she replied, forcing herself to sound casual. —It’s hard to avoid the chaos with everyone and their cameras here.—
Charles chuckled, then gestured toward a woman standing next to him. —I’d like you to meet Alexandra. She’s from Mexico too, actually.—
Amelie turned her attention to the woman beside him. Alexandra had a soft, radiant smile that made her feel instantly at ease. She was beautiful, but in a way that wasn’t intimidating. Her long black hair flowed effortlessly, and she wore a warm, elegant smile that reminded Amelie of home.
—Hi, it’s so nice to meet you!— Alexandra said, her accent hinting at her upbringing in Monaco, though she clearly had Mexican roots.
Amelie returned the smile, feeling an unexpected surge of familiarity. —It’s great to meet you too,— she replied, her voice a little softer than she intended. —I’m sure Charles has already told you how crazy this weekend is.—
The two women shared a laugh, and the conversation flowed easily. For a moment, it felt like everything might be fine. Amelie pushed the thought of Lando further back in her mind, trying to enjoy the rare sense of calm that came with talking to someone new. But then, something shifted in the air. She felt it before she even saw him. That familiar weight.
Amelie’s heart stuttered in her chest.
Lando.
She didn’t need to turn around to know he was there. She could feel his presence as clearly as if he’d just walked into the room. The energy in the paddock had shifted, and Amelie’s gaze was immediately drawn to the spot where he stood.
He was standing by one of the team garages, his hands resting casually in the pockets of his McLaren jacket. He looked... different, somehow. The last time she had seen him, he had been more carefree, his eyes always scanning for a laugh. Now, his posture seemed a little more guarded, as if he was bracing himself for something. His gaze swept across the crowd, briefly catching her eyes.
Amelie froze.
Time seemed to stretch as their gazes locked. She couldn’t breathe. It was like everything had stopped, the world around them blurring into the background.
And then, just as quickly as it had started, he looked away.
Amelie’s pulse pounded in her ears, and she fought to steady her breathing. Her chest felt tight, her throat constricting as the years of unresolved tension came crashing back. That moment—those few seconds, had unlocked everything she had been trying so hard to suppress.
A flood of memories rushed in those late-night conversations, the laughter, the way he had looked at her in those fleeting moments when they both pretended they were just friends. The moments they shared when neither of them was brave enough to admit how they felt.
But the past wasn’t a comforting place. It was messy. Hurtful.
And she had spent so long telling herself she was over it. That it didn’t matter anymore.
But here he was again, right in front of her. And it felt like a betrayal.
Why the hell did I even come here?
Her mind raced as she quickly turned to Alexandra, her heart hammering in her chest.
—Hey, uh... I’ll be right back,— she blurted, her words feeling foreign on her tongue. —I need to... find my sister.—
Charles and Alexandra exchanged curious glances, but Amelie was already walking away, her footsteps quick and shaky. She didn’t know where she was going, just that she needed to get away from him, away from all the feelings that had come rushing back.
Her eyes scanned the paddock frantically, her heart sinking as she saw the faces of people she knew—George, Alex, Carlos, and others, all talking and laughing, oblivious to the storm brewing inside her. But none of them were Stella.
Stella.
The thought of her sister grounded Amelie, and she pushed through the crowd, searching desperately. She needed Stella’s calm, her steadiness, her ability to make everything feel just a little bit less chaotic.
Finally, she spotted her sister and Checo near the Red Bull hospitality. Amelie’s steps faltered as she approached, her body trembling with anxiety.
—Stella!— she called, her voice a little too loud, a little too sharp.
Stella looked up, her expression immediately softening as she saw the panic in Amelie’s eyes. —Amelie, hey, are you okay?—
Amelie felt a rush of relief wash over her. She didn’t care that they were in the middle of the paddock with people all around them. She just needed her sister right now.
—I... I saw him,— she whispered, her voice tight. —I saw Lando. And it was... it was like I couldn’t breathe. I can’t... I don’t know what to do, Stella.—
Stella’s face softened with understanding. She reached out, pulling Amelie into a tight hug.
—Take a deep breath,— Stella murmured. —You don’t have to face this alone. We’re here for you, always.—
Amelie squeezed her eyes shut, letting her sister’s embrace steady her. She was here. She was safe.
But as she pulled back, her gaze flickered across the paddock once again.
And for just a moment, she swore she saw Lando watching her from across the way, his eyes full of something she couldn’t quite place.
Her heart skipped again. And just like that, the past was back, haunting her every step.

There are so many things about the Daniel Ricciardo situation that frustrate and anger me, so I'm getting them off my chest before I lose the plot. I'm sure other people have said the same things, but here we go.
Horner made a whole big show of picking Daniel up after the McLaren debacle, bringing him back into "the family". Made himself out to be some sort of saviour. Rebuilding Daniel's confidence, his physical and mental health. Got a dig in at Zak in a press conference about "feeding Daniel up" because he was skinny. Invited DTS to see his return at Silverstone 2023. So to kick Daniel to the curb just a few races before the end of the season? Because they have "a lot of data on Daniel" and need to see other options for the future? Hypocritical c*nt.
Next, replacing him with someone they're not confident enough in to give a contract to straight away? Yes, Liam did a good job in Daniel's absence last year. This is absolutely not me shitting on Liam - I like him, and I think he and Yuki will be good teammates. But he's been out of full time racing for a while. Allegedly RB weren't overly excited about his testing times in the summer. While it will be interesting to see how he compares to Yuki, why are RB hanging onto Liam when they don't seem confident enough to give him a full time seat? Why are they so determined to keep pushing this one? (Yes I know the answer is probably contracts, but still.)
Then there's the fact that Daniel has actually outperformed Yuki in 6 of the last 9 races (since the start of the European leg). In the same period, they've scored the same number of points. Daniel has also been more consistent in his finishing position than Yuki. In terms of form, Singapore excluded (but I think we can forgive him that one, given the media shitstorm), he's been the better of the two and isn't it meant to be that the first person you need to beat is your teammate? There's only so much you can achieve in a tractor.
And we can't forget the Checo situation. Following the first six races he's bombed in comparison to Max. He's probably cost Red Bull the Constructors'. He was given a few races to improve, didn't and then was kept anyway (probably because of money and the Mexican GP). He often qualifies further behind (in time) Max than Daniel does Yuki. I know Red Bull are coming out now and saying they found a problem with their design from Barcelona last year, when Checo first started reporting issues but frankly I'm calling bullshit on that. As mentioned, Checo had six very good races and results at the start of 2024. And some decent ones at the end of 2023. At one point there was speculation that Daniel might even replace Checo mid-season (some reports say it was a done deal), so in the space of a few weeks to go from that to being dropped himself? I have whiplash.
And I think that's the hardest part. A lot of people were probably aware that it could be difficult for Daniel to get a seat for next year. But at no point was there any suggestion that he might get replaced mid-season. Not even in the middle, six races before the end. When Red Bull confirmed in the summer break that both Checo and Daniel would see out the seasons in their current seats.
Red Bull have created an absolute PR disaster and they deserve it. Driver of the Day, amongst many other things in the last 48 hours, reflects the love and respect so many people have for Daniel. People who see how emotional he was, who see that he didn't have an opportunity to say goodbye properly (fuck, even McLaren did that - remember the Monza 2021 photo on his steering wheel?). People who recognise that dumping him so close to the end of the season is ridiculous.
In the end, I hope that Daniel really is at peace with it all and is in better shape than he left McLaren; that he can be proud of all of his achievements in the sport. Drivers come and go, but very few make their mark in the way Daniel has done. He may not have broken records or won championships, but the fact that he will still be remembered for a very long time despite those things is a testament to his character, to the sort of person we all know and love.

How Lewis Hamilton 'Knew It Was' Max Verstappen Involved In Mexico GP Incidents
Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he instinctively "knew" Max Verstappen had sparked controversy during the Mexican Grand Prix when the Mercedes driver saw a "plume of dust" ahead of him on track.
Verstappen was hit with two separate ten second penalties for incidents with McLaren's Lando Norris during the race in Mexico City, with the Red Bull driver's conduct in wheel-to-wheel battle coming under scrutiny. The first incident on Lap ten saw Verstappen edge Norris off the circuit as the McLaren driver tried to pass him around the outside of turn four. The second came just a few corners later, when Verstappen launched an aggressive move down Norris' inside at the fast turn seven, with both drivers taking to the run-off area and the Red Bull rejoining ahead. Verstappen was forced to sit stationary for twenty seconds during his pit stop and ultimately came home sixth, his joint-worst classified result of the F1 2024 season. Norris, meanwhile, finished second to the race-winning Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, reducing Verstappen's world championship lead to 47 points with four rounds remaining. Hamilton, who came home fourth after prevailing in a battle with Mercedes teammate George Russell, was embroiled in a series of on-track clashes with Verstappen over the course of their F1 2021 title battle. That season saw the pair collide dramatically on the opening lap of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone before they came to blows later that season at Monza, where Verstappen's car ended up mounting Hamilton's Mercedes following a touch at the first chicane. Verstappen's driving was also criticised after the late-season races in Brazil, where he was accused of running Hamilton off the road, and Saudi Arabia, where he was found by the FIA stewards to have "braked suddenly and significantly" while dueling over the lead with the Mercedes driver. Speaking to media including PlanetF1.com after Sunday's race in Mexico, Hamilton conceded that he had not yet seen the clashes between Verstappen and Norris on Lap ten, yet he claimed that he instinctively "knew it must have been" Verstappen involved when he saw a cloud of dust ahead on track.
Put to him that Verstappen's second incident with Norris was similar to his incident with the Red Bull man at Brazil 2021, Hamilton replied: "I've not seen it. I could see a group of cars ahead and I saw a plume of smoke, of dust." Bursting into laughter, Hamilton then added: "And I knew it was [him]. I knew it must have been [him]. [I was] like: 'For sure, that's him!'" Hamilton has long been a vocal critic of Verstappen's behavior on track, commenting in the aftermath of their battle at the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix that the Red Bull driver is "over the limit, for sure." He said in Jeddah: "I have raced a lot of drivers in my 28 years of racing. I have come across a lot of characters. There's a few that are over the limit; the rules don't apply. He's over the limit for sure. I have avoided collision on so many occasions with the guy. I don't mind being the one who does that because you get to live another day." Speaking to media including PlanetF1.com on Thursday at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, before McLaren's appeal against Norris' penalty was lodged, Hamilton accused Verstappen of exploiting "a grey area" in F1's racing rules over the years. F1's so-called racing guidelines are expected to revised, with governing body the FIA expected to present tweaks influenced by the United States GP incidents to the drivers at next month's Qatar Grand Prix. Hamilton said: "It's always been a grey area. That's why he's got away with it for so long. They probably need to make some adjustments, for sure. Also we do have inconsistencies weekend in, weekend out, obviously, depending on which stewards are there, and as a sport we do need to level up on all areas. We look at other global sports, they have full-time refs, for example, and I'm sure that wouldn't be a bad thing for our sport. I experienced it many times with Max, and you shouldn't be able to just launch the car up the inside over your head and then go off and still hold your position."

DRS WAG's & HAB's!
I am currently very bored and it's been a bit since I've posted, so I think it's time to share with you some of the WAG's and HAB's of the DRS universe, since I just recently fleshed them all out!
Helene Belmont-De Villiers
Starting off strong with Helene, my beloved. She is the girlfriend of Vincent Fortin! Her father Jacques De Villiers is a famous French former WEC and F1 Driver, and she met Vincent at a sponsor event during the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix. She is also an Art Curator and Consultant, as well as an influencer, and she often uses the time traveling with Vincent to races as a way to scout for art across the world for her clients. Helene and Vincent often travel and holiday with Lance and Alexandre.
Henri Reinhart
Henri Reinhart is the wonderful and dutiful husband of Annika Becker. The pair met in 2016 at an Aurelia sponsor dinner. At the time, Henri's company, Reinhart Germany AG, was a major sponsor of the team. He stepped down from his position as CEO in the weeks leading up to the birth of their first child in 2020, and has been a Full-Time Father since Annika came back to racing in 2021. Henri's philanthropic tendencies are still strong however, and he works with many charities in his spare time.
Adriana Ivaldi
Adriana Ivaldi is a Strategy Engineer for Modena-Roth, and the girlfriend of Marco De Caro. The two Italians may be opposite in some ways, where Marco is stoic, she is energetic, where he's sarcastic, she's sweet, but they share many similarities as well. They both have an analytical eye and a drive to succeed. They slowly developed feelings for each other once Marco joined the team in 2021, but it took fellow drivers Alexandre Lareaux and Vincent Fortin several months to finally convince him to take her to dinner.
Madison Sullivan
Madison Sullivan is a professional skateboarder and influencer being sponsored by Delphi Voltage for her stunts and participation in competitions. She is also the childhood friend and girlfriend of Owen Lancaster, much to the annoyance of his father, Senator Daniel Lancaster. She is a chill, laid-back and grounding influence for Owen, and he loves her. The two are planning to get married, against his fathers wishes, but they are currently at very important stages in their careers, and neither wants to hold the other back just yet. There'll always be time to settle down.
Sophia Rivera
Sophia Rivera is a Mexican Journalist and F1 Content Creator, as well as the younger sister of IndyCar driver Diego Rivera. She and at-the-time-rookie Matthew Coleman hit it off after she interviewed him for a video and article during the 2022 Mexican GP, and they began dating shortly after. She has been a staunch supporter of him ever since, even though his career has been a rough one — and maybe a short-lived one too, depending on how the 2023 season pans out. She has faith though that he'll be able to stay in the sport he's loved since he was a kid, and if he can't, he'll land on his feet in another series.

I’m so sick and tired of the Checo hate
You literally keep praying on his downfall, wishing nothing but for him to become a failure while he’s second place on the Championship, has given his everything to a team that hasn’t supported him and ignores the xenophobia and racism he suffers ever single race
You are suddenly concerned about the booing and demand an apology or statement from Checo when, one, he’s not responsable of his own “fans”, second, he’s the only driver that has ever done something to stop these so called fans when the booed LH back in 2021. But I don’t see you all complaining when Monza was booing Max when he won the GP, when Max said it wasn’t his responsibility to control the crowd, when fans were burning Merc merch right in the middle of the track or it became so violent for women right in the Netherlands and Austria, or did you all condemn an entire nation for the racist fans who did black face in Barcelona clearly targeting Hamilton and his family?
The same people who were so angry about the way McLaren treated Ricciardo can not way for Checo to be treated the exact same way and are literally praying for his downfall, it’s disgusting.
I’m not justifying the behavior of the so called fans from today at the Mexican GP, not in the slightest but if you want to act offended on behalf of the drivers then let’s not be hypocrites
So making fun of him after what happened in his own home race is low, specially after an incident that he had no control of, it was risking it all because he wanted to perform good for his people, but I guess you will never understand that

Later on after the Star Wars movie came out in 1977, the SR-71 Blackbird Astroinertial Navigation System was affectionately called R2-D2.
Conceived as a long-range, advanced, strategic reconnaissance aircraft developed from the Lockheed A-12 and YF-12A aircraft, the SR-71, unofficially known as the Blackbird, remained the world’s fastest and highest-flying operational aircraft throughout its nearly 24-year career with the US Air Force (USAF).
From 80,000 feet, it could survey 100,000 square miles of Earth’s surface per hour.

Piloting the Blackbird was an unforgiving endeavor, demanding total concentration. But pilots were giddy with their complex, adrenaline-fueled responsibilities. “At 85,000 feet and Mach 3, it was almost a religious experience,” said Air Force Colonel Jim Wadkins. “Nothing had prepared me to fly that fast… My God, even now, I get goose bumps remembering.”
But once the SR-71 reached ‘cruising speed and altitude, it was time to focus on the mission, which was to collect information about hostile and potentially hostile nations using cameras and sensors,’ our friend Linda Sheffield Miller (Col Richard (Butch) Sheffield’s daughter, Col. Sheffield was an SR-71 Reconnaissance Systems Officer) says on her Facebook Page Habubrats. ‘The pilot’s job was to handle the aircraft and watch over the automatic systems to make sure they were doing their jobs properly. Meanwhile, the RSO handled the cameras, sensors, and the all-important Astroinertial Navigation System (ANS). The ANS was the 1960’s version of GPS, but instead of using satellites to locate itself, the ANS used the stars. This is because before the invention of the modern satnav networks there wasn’t a way to navigate the SR-71 in the areas where it operated. The SR-71 needed to be able to fix its position within 1,885 feet (575 m) and within 300 ft (91 m) of the center of its flight path while traveling at high speeds for up to ten hours in the air.’

Sheffield Miller continues;
‘On Jul. 2, 1967 Blackbird crew Jim Watkins and Dave Dempster flew the first international sortie in SR-71A #17972 when the ANS failed on a training mission and they accidentally flew in to Mexican airspace.
‘The ANS works by tracking at least two stars at a time listed in an onboard catalog, and with the aid of a chronometer, calculates a fix of the SR-71 over the ground. It was programmed before each flight and the aircraft’s primary alignment and the flight plan was recorded on a punched tape that told the aircraft where to go, when to turn, and when to turn the sensors on and off. The stars were sighted through a special quartz window (located behind the RSO cockpit) and there was a special star tracker that could see the stars even in daylight.’
