Started building town hall yesterday, only to find it looked really wonky. I tore it down and started again today. I think it’s coming along quite nicely! I am really liking this server despite everything. I feel a bit sad knowing everything is being wiped in less than a year, but I am happy to enjoy it while it lasts.

So I joined a new (to me) minecraft server with some friends a few days ago as the town architect. We thought we'd have some cute medieval role-play and have guests come visit our town once construction is complete. We plan on running all the businesses to make our town functional. I signed up to run the bakery and possibly a flower stall at the open air market. One friend picked the tavern. Her boyfriend decided to run the planned farm on the outskirts of town. Another friend picked the (corrupt) church. A different friend picked the role of knight. All of our plans are (mostly) wholesome.

We've been running this tiny village for about three days now and we've constructed a town square, notice board, an inn, and half of a church. Today, we were accidentally sieged by a nation on the server and we now owe them taxes and our allegiance for their protection :/

Good morning to all of the lovely people who follow my blog. I hope everyone reading this is having a lovely day and is safe and doing well. I have a few announcements/updates, some of them good and others not good at all.

Unfortunately I just had a really bad fucking week. My godmother was the victim of a hit and run on May 14th. She is thankfully doing okay, but she does have a fractured foot and she will be unable to work for the time being, at least for a month. We will know the full details very soon. I am so so so eternally grateful that she was okay, she is literally like a second mother to me. She's been more of a parent to myself and my brother than our own father was.

Now that the worst news is out of the way, I recently saw my doctor, about two days ago. I received some pretty good news. I have managed to lose approximately 25 lbs since last year. This is a big step towards helping get my hypertension and diabetes risk under control. I officially weigh 214 lbs which is 6 lbs less than what I weighed at age 15. We don't have a set amount of weight for me to ideally weigh, our goal is just to get my blood pressure into a healthy range and make sure I don't develop type 2 diabetes. I also finally got a referral to a new cardiologist who I will hopefully be seeing soon. I have a rare heart disease/defect and I haven't seen a couple of specialists in far too long, an unfortunate product of the American healthcare system. Hopefully I'll be able to get in soon and get told that everything's okay.

Since I have been busy for the past week, I haven't been able to make as much progress on the mineville server :( Tonight I am hopefully going to complete the Blacksmith build and also do a few renovations around town. Pictures will be coming soon, I promise. I also have some pictures to post from my friends' Minecraft wedding a few days ago. It was very cute and very sweet. Two of my lovely friends got married on this little heart shaped island near our town and after the wedding we all had cookies and potions of speed. It was a fun night after a few stressful days.

A little update on the 2021 Minecraft server with my pals:

We made some progress on the house I'm building/designing for the server. It's going to be a BIG house. Quite possibly the biggest build I've ever done. We haven't decided on a location or color palette/theme, but I've proposed a design for the skeleton of the build and so far everyone seems to like it. I think the basic elements I've included in my little prototypes I started on PE leave plenty of room for each person to decorate their individual room. The functional crawlspaces allow for everyone to have wallpaper and flooring they love AND they can decide what they want to do with their window(s). They'll be able to decide on adding a balcony, a window garden, a window seat/reading nook, or something else. So far things are going great and I'm excited to see what we'll add or change as we make more progress.

Today my friends and I made some huge progress on the town after being colonized. We finished roofing the inn and we each got to pick a room, after that I started the town hall, we finished the market place, and I built a bridge so we don't have to go around the lake (???) every single time. Tomorrow I'll hopefully make some progress on the town hall. After that I'm almost certain I'll start construction on the church or perhaps some of the other businesses in town.

This server is so wild omfg. So we ended up ripping up our tiny town located in Washington and relocating all the way to the northernmost coast of Alaska because we couldn't expand our town after the siege. One of my friends made the journey on foot from Yukon, Canada to I would say Utqiagvik, AK. After that we were able to start a new town modeled after the old one, but with some improvements. We managed to successfully relocate for nearly an entire day, in which we rebuilt town square and 75% of the inn, before the nation that had sieged us found us again. Except this time were weren't sieged, we were colonized and our town was added to their nation. One of my friends on the server is Cree and I'm Zapotec and we both just kinda :/ "well isn't this something?". Anways, we were allowed to live and our inn wasn't destroyed, but we've been colonized which sucks. Hopefully we'll be able to continue our plan of building a cute role-play town.

So one of my best friends joined the server today and it was great! We did a lot of mining and managed to get a good amount of diamonds. We also tamed a good amount of alpacas and donkeys so that we can use them to transport our things once we make the big move. This is our first time having a 100% survival server and it's been a lot of fun. It is also the longest time I've played without dying.
