A Florida man with a suspended license was arrested for running over a deer and posting the video of him doing it – on TikTok, according to deputies. 

Clay Kinney, 27, was arrested on five counts of animal torment, one count of animal torture, and one count of a moving traffic violation, an affidavit shows.  

On Dec. 28, a Seminole County Sheriff's Office detective was patrolling an area in Geneva after an investigation began into Kinney due to the TikTok video.

The detective spotted Kinney and conducted a traffic stop on his Blue Chevy Tahoe. Kinney admitted to not having a driver's license due to it being suspended. 

When asked about the video he posted on TikTok, Kinney admitted to running over the deer in his Tahoe, arrest records show.

Kinney allegedly attempted to run over five deer but was only able to hit one deer with his car. 

In 2021, Kinney had another wildlife run-in with law enforcement.

An officer responded to a car crash involving Kinney on Snow Hill Road in Geneva. When the officer arrived at the scene, he watched Kinney immediately walk toward his truck and release a fawn from a dog box, arrest records show. 

Kinney told law enforcement that he parked on the side of the road and took the fawn before being rear-ended. He told officers he was going to take it home and release it on his 5-acre property. 

The officer told Kinney that his story didn't make sense since the Little Big Econ State Forest is on both sides of Snow Hill Road. 

He was arrested for possessing a baby fawn during the closed hunting season and later released on bond. 

No other details about the incident have been released.

Review: New 2024 Chevy Suburban Family SUV Order Bank

The fifth-generation Chevrolet Tahoe and the twelfth-generation Chevrolet Suburban debuted for the 2021 model year, with a mid-cycle enhancement (also known as a refresh) for both SUVs originally scheduled for the 2024 model year. Now, however, GM Authority has learned that neither the 2024 Tahoe nor the 2024 Suburban will receive a model refresh. Instead, both SUVs will be updated for model year 2025, or possibly later.

The 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2024 Suburban will be introduced as the fourth model year for the respective SUV's current iteration. Contrary to what was previously believed, GM Authority has learned that a comprehensive redesign of the full-size SUV lineup will not take place for the 2024 model year.

Despite the fact that the refreshed Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban will not arrive for the 2024 model year, both SUVs will eventually receive a refresh. When they do become available, the redesigned Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban will feature the standard revisions and modifications.

Among these will be new styling, with a redesigned front fascia that will likely feature a two-tiered illumination system for greater differentiation between the top and lower trim levels. In addition, new roof-mounted antenna fin and 24-inch tire options are anticipated.

The changes will continue inside, where the updated Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban will feature a larger infotainment display and redesigned center stack. SUVs will once again be available with the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine and the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, while the current 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax will be replaced with the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax. Again, the GM T1 platform will provide the underpinnings, and the vehicle will be manufactured at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Production and Orders Deposit Account

The Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban were redesigned for the 2021 model year, and it is no longer anticipated that the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2024 Chevrolet Suburban will receive substantial upgrades over the 2023 model year. The updated Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Tahoe are anticipated to arrive in 2025. Now, GM Authority is aware of when dealers can place orders for the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2024 Chevrolet Suburban.

Dealers will be able to place new orders for the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2024 Chevrolet Suburban beginning on September 28, 2023, according to GM Authority sources. On November 6, 2023, production of both SUVs is expected to commence. For the 2023 model year, the GM Arlington facility in Texas will once again be used for vehicle production.

According to prior GM Authority coverage, the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2024 Chevrolet Suburban were initially expected to receive a significant refresh consisting of numerous updates and modifications. The refreshed SUVs would not debut until at least the 2025 model year, according to new information that emerged subsequently.

Consequently, the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2024 Chevrolet Suburban will continue to offer the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine for the foreseeable future. With the update, it was anticipated that both SUVs would offer the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine as a replacement for the 3.0L I6 LM2 engine. This is no longer the case, as the update will now likely debut at a later date.

Both SUVs are also available with two gasoline-powered engine variants, including naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 and 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engines. The GM T1 platform underpins every SUV.

An alleged squatter in Arizona was arrested after illegally moving into a dead man’s home and selling the man’s SUV, a local sheriff’s office said.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Michael Macinnis, 45, on Jan. 3 on multiple felony charges, including allegedly selling a dead man’s 2005 Chevy Tahoe by forging documents to make it appear he was the legal owner.

Investigators said that Macinnis illegally moved into the unidentified dead man’s Cordes Lakes home in May 2023 and had been "squatting" in the home while allegedly forging car documents "to make it appear he was the estate’s personal representative," the sheriff’s office said in a Thursday press release. The legal homeowner had died "some months before" Macinnis allegedly moved in, authorities said.

Macinnis is accused of forging documents to sell the Tahoe to a resident of Flagstaff, located roughly 80 miles north of Cordes Lakes.

Authorities said Macinnis resisted arrested on Jan. 3, "including slamming a metal door on a deputy’s wrist" and reportedly swallowing dozens of fentanyl pills.

"They were finally able to take him into custody and were told he had perhaps swallowed up to 40 fentanyl pills prior to his arrest, and then had purged his stomach of the drugs. Deputies say on the way to jail he was increasingly incoherent and drowsy, was administered NarCan by jail medical staff, and then taken by ambulance to the hospital," the sheriff’s office wrote in its press release.

He was later released from the hospital and charged with nine felonies, such as aggravated assault on law enforcement and charges related to the forgery and fraud allegations.

Squatter incidents have cropped up across the U.S. – and around the world – in recent years, with suspects typically targeting homes where the rightful owners are away for extended periods of time, such as vacation homes or rentals.

Properties belonging to deceased individuals have also been targeted by suspected squatters, reports show.

Last year, police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, arrested alleged squatters who moved into a house where the homeowner and tenant had recently died. In Las Vegas in 2021, police made a disturbing discovery at a private property: the remains of the elderly female homeowner in a shallow grave. Police said squatters reportedly moved into the home, found the woman’s body, dismembered and buried the woman, and continued living in the home.
