For 2018, Buick replaced the Regal sedan with an all-new model offering hatchback and station wagon body styles. This new Regal was the first hatchback from Buick for the North American market since the 1987 Skyhawk and the first station wagon since the 1996 Roadmaster. New for 2020 was the Encore GX crossover which slotted in between the existing Encore and Envision. The Regal hatchback and station wagon were discontinued for the North American market in 2020. For the 2021 model year, Buick's North American lineup consists of the Encore subcompact crossover, the Encore GX compact crossover, the Envision compact crossover, and the Enclave mid-size crossover.
