Also his general lack of experience in an F1 car is a downside.

He also competed in DTM during that year, having a very tight season and finishing 2nd in the standings. 2022 F2 was a much better year, as he had multiple race wins and podiums. By âą Olalekan Fagbade Suspected armed robbery member confesses: âI bought gun for gang to aid our operations operationsâ Â Â A member of a syndicate allegedly involved in snatching vehicles in Nigeria and taking them across the border to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, Alhaji Rashidi Salami, has spoken on how he started the crime about 10 years ago, to the extent that he even purchased a gun from outside Nigeria for N250,000 to aid the gangâs operation. Salami also opened up on how he was arrested charged to court and jailed over the same issue, but decided to return to his vomit after serving prison term. Salami, aged 50, was among the suspects recently paraded by the Oyo State Police Command for various offences. In his maiden press briefing, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebola Ayinde Hamzat, told journalists of how the trans-border armed robbers were nabbed. CP Hamzat said that through intelligence gathering, a team of police operatives attached to the Monitoring Unit, led by the commander, CSP Olusola Aremu, learnt of the activities of a trans-border armed robbery syndicate that specialised in using motorbikes to intercept and snatch exotic vehicles at gunpoint from unsuspecting members of the public at different locations in the state. The team reportedly swung into action, resulting in the initial arrest of two suspected members identified as OluwaseunAbiodun Sofolahan and Abiodun Mojeed Lameed and the recovery of a locally-made gun. When interrogated, the suspects confessed to snatching exotic vehicles, including Toyota Highlander SUV, a Lexus SUV and three Toyota Corolla cars from their owners along Ibadan-Oyo expressway and other locations within Ibadan metropolis. CP Hamzat stated further that the suspectsâ confessional statements led to the arrest of Rashidi Salami and Aliu Soliu, who used to collect the vehicles from the armed robbers for immediate transportation to Ouagadougou for sale. âThe duo confessed to have received all the stolen vehicles and moved them across the border to Burkina Faso where they were sold to another criminal cartel,â the police boss added, saying that investigation was still ongoing. Nigerian Tribune learnt that Lameed was the one who used to carry other gang members on bike while Oluwaseun would be in possession of gun. What they usually did was to block their victims and rob them of vehicles or motorcycles. Oluwaseun, aged 35 and Abeokuta-born but Oyo-based, narrated his foray into crime world: âI was a welder but joined armed robbery gang in 2020 when things became rough for me. I will blame myself for yielding to bad friendship and peer pressure. âI met Alhaji Salami who promised to buy a gun for me. I met him through my friends â Bola, Sunday and Sheriff â at joints, though I only smoke cigarette. I knew my friend, Sheriff, at Bodija market. I got connected with others through him. Sheriff told me that he was a buyer of snatched vehicles and asked me to join his robbery gang to snatch vehicles for Alhaji. Iâve snatched three vehicles for him. He told us he used to take the vehicles to Ouagadogou, Burkina Faso, for sale.â âWe usually targeted anyone parking on a street at night. We would open the car door on the driverâs side and force its owner out at gunpoint. Out of the three vehicles I got for Alhaji, he paid N700,000 for the first one, a Toyota Highlander SUV, out of N1 million he promised to pay for it. I got N150,000 as my share. The second one was a Lexus SUV and he paid N800,000, telling us that he needed to carry out repairs because it was faulty. The third one was a Toyota Camry (muscle) car. Alhaji gave me the gun and cartridges. âI was arrested while sleeping in a womanâs house. She was my benefactor and I used to stay in her house whenever I was in Ibadan. My bag was recovered and a gun was seen in it.â The second suspect, Lameed, an Ibadan indigene, aged 40, told the Nigerian Tribune that he was a vulcaniser until the machine stoppe
d working. âI bought a motorcycle, paying in instalments. I became a commercial motorcyclist and met Oluwaseun through it. âOn the day I first picked him, he paid me handsomely and asked if I could come back to pick him. I agreed. That was how we became close. On a particular day, I picked him again and he told me to wait after getting to his destination, saying that we would return together. âAs I got there, he opened up, telling me that he was into car snatching. I agreed to join him. I joined the gang this year and followed others to a robbery operation, but I didnât get any money because the Alhaji told us that the Camry car could not be taken across the border since it was faulty.â Salami, who hailed from Saki, confessed to being a receiver of snatched vehicles and an expert in transferring them across the Nigeria-Burkina Faso border. He said that he started receiving vehicles from armed robbers about 10 years ago. âAfter getting the vehicles from armed robbers, I would take them across the border to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso where the buyers who are Nigerians would be waiting. âI was once arrested and paraded in Ibadan. I was charged to court and sentenced. I spent 18 months in prison. After regaining freedom, I rested for some time before starting the operations again,â he said. He disclosed that he had received three vehicles from the arrested armed robbers after his release from prison but couldnât take one of them to Ouagadougou because it stopped functioning along the way. He said that he called others to inform them. âI was on the way when the vehicle stopped working. I called the syndicate members to inform them and abandoned the vehicle at the spot and quickly left. I was afraid I would be caught if it was tracked and traced,â Salami stated. He also confessed to buying a locally-made gun from a French country for one of the arrested suspects, Oluwaseun. According to him, âI contacted Soliu to help me purchase the gun and paid N250,000 for it. I was told that the locally-made guns over there are better than those in Nigeria.â Blaming the devil for his involvement in crime, Salami said that his family members warned him to desist from such negative act but he did not listen to them. âThe wife I had then left me and I just married another one. I will never be involved in crime again,â he promised. In his own confession, Soliu said that he knew Salami when he was bringing parboiled rice and cowhide (ponmo) from Ouagadougou to Nigeria. âThings went down for me and he told me he was a car dealer, asking me to join him in the business. I didnât know he was receiving snatched vehicles. I went with him just once and he gave me N150,000. He was the one who sent me with money to the man he got the gun from. I didnât know what it was until he unwrapped it in my presence and I saw the gun. I stopped working with him but was recently arrested,â Soliu said. #aidrobberyoperations #gun

Within toyota's lineup, the 4runner is positioned above the rav4 compact crossover and along with the highlander midsize crossover. It helps the driver by managing acceleration and braking, allowing the driver to concentrate on steering. The toyota 4runner is designed to fulfill off-road driving requirements, but off-roading is naturally harmful. The original 4runner was a compact suv and bit more than a toyota pickup truck with a fiberglass shell over the bed, however the model has actually since gone through significant independent advancement into a cross between a compact and a mid-size suv. All 4runners have been integrated in japan at toyota's plant in tahara, aichi, or at the hino motors (a toyota subsidiary) plant in hamura. The 4runner was available in at number 5 in a 2019 research study by iseecars. Com ranking the longest-lasting vehicles in the us. The 4runner had 3. 9percent of vehicles over 200,000 miles (320,000 km), according to the research study. The trekker was among the first prototype walk through conversions done to toyota trucks in the early 1980s. They resembled the successive 4runner conversions done by toyota, which started production in 1984, however were designed and built by winnebago markets with the approval of toyota. The trekker was no longer viable when toyota started producing the 4runner in 1984, having in essence functioned as a marketing test vehicle for that car. Thus, the very first generation is almost mechanically similar to the toyota hilux. All very first generation 4runners had two doors and were indistinguishable from the pickups from the dashboard forward. Almost all changes were to the latter half of the body; in fact, since the rear springs were not updated to bear the additional weight from the rear seats and fiberglass top, these early models tended to experience a drooping rear suspension. A brand-new infotainment system increases in screen size from 6. 1 to 8. In our very first drive review of the 2020 toyota 4runner trd pro, we were impressed by its off-road capability, stating that "'although the 4runner is old, it showed to be plenty capable on the trail." we were also pleased with the enhancements made to the vehicle's driver's assistants and infotainment systems, and felt that those looking to purchase a 4runner should absolutely wait for the 2020 model, as these updates actually make a difference in the interior and safety. Read what other owners consider the 2020 Toyota 4Runner. Shoppers also think about. Toyota's old-school 4runner hasn't changed a lot for many years, but its competitors have. Vehicles such as the nissan pathfinder, when an authentic suv ready to take on gnarly terrain, have actually given that morphed into crossovers with less off-road capability. The 2020 toyota 4runner keeps its status as a tough, off-road prepared suv that uses a more civilized option to vehicles like the jeep wrangler, particularly when discovered in trd off-road or trd pro trims. It's likewise a fairly comfy daily driver that can seat up to 7 passengers throughout 3 rows, and it can tow approximately 5,000 pounds. Toyota 4Runner vs. Jeep Grand Cherokee The same can be stated, to varying degrees, of models like the ford explorer and chevrolet blazer. That leaves just 2 primary rivals: the jeep grand cherokee and jeep wrangler unlimited. Offered the shift in buyers' preferences, its shrinking segment, and its antiquated style, one would presume the 4runner's best days were in the past. Get the base 4runner in gray, beat the hell out of it and keep it for 20-plus years. That's what i suggest. Your other options are the jeep grand cherokee ($32,150), which is even more refined and outsells 4runner by a nation mile. Toyota 4Runner vs. Toyota Highlander 2020 toyota 4runner trd pro: 3 things that make it a pro in the city. 10 most significant news stories of the week: 2021 genesis gv80, gmc yukon do it. 2020 chicago auto show: everything you missed out on. 2021 toyota highlander xse and unique 4runner, tacoma tundra identify themselves. While more recent midsize trucks are much smoother on the road, the 4runner is stiff and bouncy, jouncing along the highway. If you prepare to use your brand-new suv for travelling, something like the brand-new toyota highlander or smaller rav4 are most likely a much better bet. Toyota 4Runner vs. Toyota Tacoma But, that's exactly for how long it's been considering that toyota introduced the latest version of its venerable midsize suv. The fifth-generation 4runner debuted for the 2010 model year, using rather tighter interior accommodations compared to its predecessor and sharing various bits and pieces with the tacoma pickup an fj cruiser suv. Toyota limited with magnetic gray metallic outside and black interior features a v6 cylinder engine with 270 hp at 5600 rpm *. Choice packagesrunning boards. Serviced here, locally owned and traded here!experts conclude'the 4runner's v6 produces a healthy 270 horsepower, ideal when you need to pass slower traffic or tow heavy loads. What do individuals consider the 2020 Toyota 4Runner? The 2018 toyota 4runner is a body-on-frame sport energy, meaning it's truck-based instead of car-based as would be a crossover-suv. This indicates that the 4runner might not be for everyone, but it does fit a specific market and segment of needs. The 2018 4runner needs to be thought of as a pickup truck with more seating capable of bring a fair variety of people and pulling a fair amount of trailer and cargo. As such, the japanese maker didn't change much of anything on the 2013 toyota 4runner. Many people would neglect this midsize suv at first glance, however it does have some extremely rugged and useful features that might attract buyers searching for recognized dependability. What's an excellent price for a New 2020 Toyota 4Runner? Different package updates followed in 2018, and after that a black-accented nightshade special edition showed up for the 2019 model year. Cargurus tested the 2019 4runner, eventually recommending the sr5 premium 4wd model based on its available features and sub-$40,000 starting price. As the toyota 4runner entered the 2020 model year, it went through a host of considerable upgrades, the least of which was the introduction of a venture trim level accented by distinct wheels and a standard roofing system rack. I finally get the love for the toyota 4runner. I almost got it in the past, now that i have actually spent a week in one, i'm feeling a connection to the loud, unrefined, semi-slow, old suv. Beginning with the excellent, the 4runner's looks are simply traditional and identifiable. Should I lease or buy a 2020 Toyota 4Runner? Such has been the appeal of the toyota 4runner, a rear-wheel-drive (rwd) or 4-wheel-drive (4wd) model that has actually filled that function since it was initially introduced in the mid-1980s. Now, as one of the couple of midsize suvs still on the marketplace, the up-to-7-passenger 4runner continues to bring in buyers who want to venture far off the beaten course, or a minimum of would like to know their vehicle can do so at a moment's notice. A new, sixth-generation 4runner is stated to be in development but, at the time of this writing, no details have actually been launched. 2003-2009 toyota 4runner: 4th generation. Aside from pickup trucks and some very popular cars, couple of vehicle nameplates have been around regularly for more than thirty years. Up to $500 refund on a new toyota 4runner. Not valid on unique lease/preferred choice deals, apr programs or vehicles otherwise omitted based on the terms and conditions. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license.

With a revised front fascia, interior, and the introduction of a new rugged trim, itâs received, all together now, a mid-cycle refresh. Hereâs some quick details. Introduced in 2020, this is Hyundaiâs biggest vehicle. Itâs a 7 or 8 seat mid-size SUV that shook up the car market when it arrived, presenting a practical and stylish alternative to its competition. Propelling Hyundaiâs big boy is still a 3.8L V6 making 291 hp (291 hp/ 262 lb-ft) linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. FWD is standard and AWD is available on all trims for an extra $1,900. Fuel economy on par with the segment (FWD 19 city / 27 hwy, graphic: AWD 19 city/ 25 hwy) but a hybrid option would be nice right about now, and if you plan on towing the Palisade has a Max tow capacity of 5000 lbs. In the cargo area thereâs (18 cu-ft) behind the 3rd row, fold down the 3rd row seats for (45.8 cu-ft), and for maximum volume, the second and 3rd row folded yields (86.4 cu-ft). And on the subject of seats, 8 passenger seating is only available on the lowest 2 SE and SEL trims. Higher trims feature captains chairs. Applied to the pavement, the Palisade drives well. It has predictable handling and provides a graceful and confident ride. Honestly the Palisade has some easy road manners, which is good because if youâre using this to haul around family, you want the easiest ride you can get. Visibility is good in the but if you do need it, thereâs standard blind spot monitoring. Some other standard safety features will include forward collision assist with pedestrian detection, Lane follow and lane keep assist, and navigation based smart cruise control with stop & go and curve control. Power delivery in the Palisade is adequate, put your foot down and it gets you moving. I like that the V6 has a pretty linear power delivery that you wonât really feel on a lot of turbo powered SUVS. Base MSRP is $34,950 not including destination charges for an SE trim which includes the standard features mentioned earlier, AC vents in all 3 rows, paddle shifters, LED headlights, and highway driving assist. Wanna stand out? Check out that new XRT trim starting at $40,250 thatâll give you rugged aesthetics like a dark grille, black lower bumpers in front and black, and skid plate accents, 20â black alloy wheels, Black roof Rails, a lower door garnish, and the XRT badge. And if youâre considering taking the luxury route, the Calligraphy trim starting at $48,900 includes these 20 inch alloy wheels, Chrome exterior accents, digital rear view mirror, ambient lighting, and nappa leather seats with Hyundaiâs âdriverâs ergo motion seatâ, which is basically a seat massager. Competitors include so many SUVS like the Toyota Highlander, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Subaru Ascent, Volkswagen Atlas, Nissan Pathfinder, and canât forget its platform-mate the Kia Telluride. The Palisade is a satisfying SUV that continues to stand out in a world of midsize SUVS. And now with its new facelift, rugged trim, and upscale interior, you really canât deny yourself a second look at what Hyundai is offering. 00:00 2023 Hyundai Palisade 0:43 Engine 1:10 Interior 4:04 Driving Impressions 6:17 Pricing 8:08 Competitors

Safest Compact Suv 2020
SUVs are really popular vehicles these days, and the smaller ones are a popular size for buyers, too. Many buyers also have safety high on their must-have list, especially since SUVs are great for transporting families. Carfax recently took a look at some safe small SUVs, and Mazda ranks highly on both the compact and subcompact lists. The 2020 Subaru Forester and 2020 Mazda CX-5 top the list of safest compact SUVs, while the 2020 Mazda CX-3 and 2021 Hyundai Kona lead the list of safest subcompact SUVs.
2020 Subaru Forester
Each year, NHTSA crash tests vehicles as part of our 5-Star Safety Ratings program. In addition, we do verification tests on advanced crash avoidance technology systems in vehicles. Here are the lists of vehicle models selected for each test. Best Safety Rated SUVS of 2020. Best Safety Rated SUVS of 2019. Find a Top 10 List - New Car and Used Car. Most Fuel Efficient. Here are the 2020 SUVS that have the best safety ratings according to the National Highway Traffic Safety. The Highlander was all new for the 2020 model year, and it's a good SUV. But that's just it. In a large class full of three-row options, the Highlander falls short of being a class leader.
The 2020 Subaru Forester comes in first on the Carfax list of 16 safest compact SUVs of 2020. The Forester comes standard with Subaruâs EyeSight suite of driver-assist features as well as a rear-seat reminder. EyeSight provides adaptive cruise control, advanced adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist and sway warning, pre-collision braking, and pre-collision throttle management. Additional safety features, including blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert, are options. The top Touring trim also includes additional safety features, like reverse automatic braking and DriverFocus, which helps cut down on distracted and fatigued driving.
The 2020 Forester comes standard with all-wheel drive, providing the SUV with great traction. It also comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The 2020 Forester is also an IIHS 2020 Top Safety Pick+. It received a five out of five from the NHTSA.

Using Secure Socket Layer, you can establish a secured connection between the client and server. It helps to safeguard sensitive information such as credit card numbers, usernames, passwords, pins, etc. You can make connections more secure by creating your own SSL context using the HttpClient library. Apache httpclient ssl. If you want to use the Apache HTTP client instead of the Java HTTP client, you have to provide to SSLFactory your keystore and configure DefaultHTTPClient to use it in the HTTPS protocol. You can find a working example here. I hope that helps.
All-wheel drive is available but not standard on all trim levels. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims of the 2021 Kona. The 2021 Kona is an IIHS 2020 Top Safety Pick. It received five out of five from the NHTSA.

Test drive: The 2021 Toyota Sienna hybrid minivan was long overdue
Test drive: 2021 Toyota Sienna
The 2021 Toyota Sienna is the first hybrid version of the minivan, but much more than that according to Fox News Autos Editor Gary Gastelu
The 2021 Toyota Sienna was destined to be.
Itâs the first hybrid-powered minivan from the maker of the Prius and the tech is the perfect match for the brandâs ultimate people carrier, providing just enough power and great fuel economy for a family-friendly vehicle.
Aside from the CH-R subcompact, every four-door Toyota passenger car and crossover is now available with a hybrid powertrain.
The Siennaâs is shared with Toyotaâs Highlander Hybrid and comprised of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors that put out a combined 245 horsepower in this guise. Itâs the only one being offered in the Sienna from now on, but is available with a choice of all-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive.
The EPA says theyâll get 35 and 36 mpg combined, respectively, which is a better than 70% increase over the old Siennaâs 296 horsepower V6, which was rated at 20 and 21 mpg. Those are pretty outstanding numbers. Even the plug-in hybrid Chrysler Pacifica is only good for 30 mpg after its 32 miles of all-electric range has been used up.
The new Sienna can also tow up to 3,500 pounds, but itâs the stuff it hauls around inside of it thatâs most impressive.
Starting prices range from $35,635 to $51,653 and all models come standard with Toyotaâs Safety Sense suite of electronic driver aids, including automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, but the higher end versions add so much comfort and tech, youâll think youâve never left the house.

Thereâs a ceiling-mounted widescreen entertainment system with HDMI inputs for media players and consoles, a 12-speaker,;1,200-watt JBL auto system; reclining second-row captainâs chairs with leg rests; and a refrigerator/freezer built into the center console, which also houses a vacuum that has a hose long enough to reach the entire vehicle. I spent a cold winterâs night parked outside my sonâs soccer practice in it fully reclined watching streaming video and wouldnât have been happier at home. The battery pack even provided enough power that the engine didnât need to run the entire time to keep me warm.
The Sienna is smooth and quiet on the move, with ride and handling characteristics that defy its size and station in life, but arenât quite so sporty as its Supra-inspired flared-fender exterior design suggest, but about as good as you can expect from a mini mobile home. While youâre on the move, a rearview mirror with video feed helps you see past all the heads and stuff behind you, while a pretty low-resolution 360-degree camera system provides a birdâs-eye-view for parking.
FOX NEWS AUTOS TEST: 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER HYBRID
The minivan landscape is pretty bare these days, with just the Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Pacifica/Voyager and Kia Sedona for the Sienna to compete with, but each has a very different character and the Toyota may be the most complete package of the bunch.

2021 Toyota Sienna

The Dreaded Day Of Travel
Itâs hard to prepare for traveling with muchas cosas (many things) as we would be traveling home with. Considering our travel to Mexico and everything that happened, itâs not unusual for either of us to feel a bit uncertain about how traveling home would go. Would we have someone to help carry our stuff? If we donât, can we still make it work? Will Volaris accept Rowley this time now that his rabbis vaccine would be in their 30 day time frame? Will we be able to get back into the US? How will Summer do on the flight?
The great thing about Sayulita is you donât have to make appointments anywhere. You want a massage? You walk down to the beach and get it. You want to see the vet to get a health certificate to fly and deworming? You just show up and they do it on the spot. No 30 min check up required and an appointment. Of course I did ask if we should make an appointment but the vet said no to just come in when we were ready. Itâs not like they would say no, obviously we had to get home and needed to bring our dog lol So we made sure everything was as Volaris required so we could fly home.
To book our flight online it said we would take off at 12:35 pm. But when you click details, the flight time was actually 6:35 pm. Maybe a glitch in their website? We planned our goodbye brunch at Chocobanana with Kristin, Tyler, Noralina, Felix, and the kiddos, went home to nap/pack, and then headed for the airport. If our flight had been at 12:30, well, then, we would have missed it lol but after booking the res, the email confirmation said 6:30 so I was pretty confident about the evening flight.
We got to the airport 3.5 hours early to be safe. They wouldnât let us officially check in until 4 so we cruised around the airport. it took SO long to get us checked in because of Rowley. We were the first ones there and by the time we were finally done, the line was incredibly long. They needed to review Rowleyâs paperwork, make copies, review them again, have us fill out forms, check the weight. It was never ending. Plus we had to pay for the surfboard, get all of Summerâs gear tagged. It was a process. It took 45 minutes to get us checked in. So itâs finally 4:45pm and we are heading to our gate. Things are fine from here, we board the plane, get to our seats, Summer sleeps on me the entire flight. It was SO sweet but my legs were falling asleep, my left butt cheek was hurting, and I was having a hard time breathing with 21 pounds of weight on me and a baby in my belly. We weighed Summer at the vet after weighing Rowley. Itâs good to know how much she weighs now haha.
We land, head to baggage claim/CBX Border Crossing. We find guys with the carts to help us with everything. We go to cross the border through CBX but they wonât take Summer without a birth certificate. My expired passport is no big deal. That works fine he says, especially since it expired in 2020. Matt tried to convince them, the supervisor called the Border Patrol but they said no. So we had to turn around and head the exit of the TJ airport, get a taxi to the border, walk across the border, and hope they donât give us any trouble getting into the US.
We hop in the taxi to the San Ysidro border crossing. He drops us off and surprisingly there is someone to help us carry our stuff. We are shocked and stoked. We get to the mexico crossing and they just need to see that we have ID, they donât need to check it BUT we lose our guy to help carry our stuff to walk across the final part. Iâm excited because I knew with the wagon and the zip ties we brought that we could do it and I had been looking forward to consolidating everything without extra help. Matt was embarrassed. He kept describing us as Beverly Hill Billy but I donât get embarrassed easily. I was completely stimulated. I had never walked across the border. It was all new and exciting for me-- until we got into San Ysidro and that was SCARY. More on that later.
So we get into the US Border, we get in line, it was a nice mexican/american lady. I think that was helpful. Women LOVE Summer. Even this woman, who questioned how an 18 month old didnât have a. birth certificate, couldnât help but comment on how beautiful Summer is with her red hair. She questioned us a little bit but not for long and then let us go. So the only difficult part was not being allowed to cross through CBX.
We get out of the building and need to get a ride home. Itâs super sketchy in this area. Tons of drug addicts walking by, dark, scary. We sign up for an Uber XL, heâs 13 minutes away. The cop makes us move down the street so we arenât on trolley property, Summer is crying because sheâs thirsty. Matt runs to jack & the box to get water and leaves us alone on the street. That was the scariest part. I was just getting ready to duck incase gun shots went off. lol read to kick if someone came up with a knife. I was on high alert.
Our Toyota Highlander finally arrives. He said he didnât think our stuff would fit. And to be honest, it didnât. We left the stroller in the trash. It was the old, dirty, used Bob that I got on offer up that we all hate. It was nice to have in Mexico but I never want to use it again lol Once in the car the driver told us that if we didnât have a baby and if I wasnât pregnant, he wouldnât have taken us!!! We were the fifth passengers in his brand new car that he did not want scratched up with our surf board, suitcases, dog crate, wagon, etc.
Our house in La Mesa is booked on airbnb until Feb 2 but our other property in Mission Hills is open for a few nights, Of our three properties, the mission hills home is the only one that I actually own. And Iâve never stayed in it, so itâs been fun to stay here, use the hot tub, enjoy the space! When we bought it, it was a flip, and we bought all of the staging furniture, as well, so itâs a really beautiful and modern home. The decor, the pillows, everything is so chic.
We put Summer down at midnight america time which is 2:00am mexico time. She slept until 4:45 american time so 6:45 mexico time. Not bad. We went to lazy acres for breakfast, got some groceries, Matt took Summer on a walk to balboa park. No stroller so back in the wagon for her. She went down at 9:40 am. I have been blogging, chatting with my dad, unpacking suitcases. Itâs been a nice morning.
This afternoon we are signing our loan docs for the refinancing and hopefully heading to la mesa to get our car and stroller! woohoo! I hope Summer sleeps until noon!!! Itâs 11 am now. Fingers crossed!!! She needs to catch up so we can get back to a normal sleep schedule!
Well, thatâs the end of our travels. I still need to finish the previous blog post but THANK YOU to everyone who came along on this journey with us!!!!
I probably wont be blogging much until October when we plan to move to PALM BEACH FLORIDA for a few years while Matt starts a new pool business, invests in airbnb properties. Weâll see!! More to come from our new nomadic lifestyle!
Love you all! XO

TOP 20: THE BEST VEHICLES FOR THE FAMILY IN 2020 ACCORDING TO PARENTS MAGAZINE
Once again this year, Parents magazine gets wet by naming its best choices of vehicles for the family. Unlike last year, however, the publication is expanding its list of recommended vehicles to 20 (instead of 10 in 2019). Indeed, the magazineâs list this year includes a few additional categories, with the utility segment making up the majority of the models listed, unsurprisingly.
The magazine also considered the safety assessments carried out by the American institute NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). Whatâs more, the âfamilyâ angle of the top 20 requires a test with child seat expert Abbie Patterson. Patterson, owner of the Super Car Seat Geek company, has tested all types of child booster seats in more than 50 car models.
Finally, automotive columnist Rob Stumpf, took the wheel of the vehicles in the child seat test to evaluate braking, steering, acceleration and a host of other parameters.
Without further ado, hereâs the list of the 20 best family vehicles for 2020 according to Parents magazine.
Minivans â Best Value: Kia Sedona
In the minivan segment, Kia Sedona takes home the honours with the best value for money because of its more affordable price in its basic livery. However, the magazine notes that it is not possible to secure three child seats in the second row in the least expensive model. The automatic transmission (from 6 to 8 gears since the 2019 model year) is good for smooth shifting.
Minivans â Best Green Choice: Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Chryslerâs representative in the ultra-family minivan segment is currently the only option (in the North American market) marketed with a charging cable. This rechargeable hybrid powertrain lowers average fuel consumption without penalizing performance, while the government rebate is not to be ignored here either. The Pacifica Hybrid will have to watch its back, as we already know that the next Toyota Sienna will be available with a hybrid powertrain.
Minivans â Best choice for large families: Honda Odyssey
Hondaâs Odyssey is also an excellent choice, especially since the manufacturer has decided to offer its 10-speed automatic transmission on all trim levels. As reported in the magazine, the versatility of the Odyssey is unparalleled, as the minivan can accommodate up to six child seats at the same time. Itâs also the most fun to drive.
Minivans â Best in all weather conditions: Toyota Sienna
Toyotaâs Sienna retains its competitive edge once again this year with its optional all-wheel drive system. This increased traction is undoubtedly an asset when road conditions are more difficult, as is its powerful V6 engine, but the Sienna will have to count the Chrysler Pacifica among its direct rivals next year, the American manufacturer having already confirmed the arrival of a four-wheel drive version of its Pacifica.
Three-row SUV â Best Value: Volkswagen Atlas
When the German automaker launched the development of its three-row SUV, it clearly had North America as its target. The magazine was especially seduced by the affordable price of the SUV in its most accessible version.
Three-row SUV â Better Redesign: Toyota Highlander
The change of model for 2020 does him the greatest good, the former Highlander which had been in service since model year 2014. While the publication praises the new design, itâs also in terms of handling that the Toyota representative has improved, especially in terms of suspension. Thereâs also the availability of a hybrid version, which isnât widely available in this group.
Three-row SUV â Best Choice for Large Families: Subaru Ascent
The Subaru Ascent joined the three-row seating party for SUVs about a year ago. Here, the fact that all the vehicleâs liveries are equipped with constant-drive all-wheel drive is meant to be an advantage over the rest of the pack, while the publication pointed out that there are 19 (!) cup holders on board.
Three-row SUV â Best Quiet Ride: Honda Pilot
The Honda Pilot looks almost Acura inside, not only because of its full equipment, but also because of its quiet ride. In fact, the Parents magazine article even goes so far as to compare the Pilot to the Honda Odyssey because the SUV is so comfortable. Unlike the minivan, however, the Pilot still offers the tandem of six- and nine-speed automatic transmissions. In this case, the older of the two (the six-speed one) isnât necessarily a bad choice!
Three-row SUV â Best safety technologies: Nissan Pathfinder
Aging, the Nissan Pathfinder still seems capable of seducing a publication that mainly observes a vehicleâs family characteristics. Here, the safety systems are convincing, as is that horn blast heard after every drive where one of the rear doors has been opened before or while driving. This device reminds the driver that he or she may have a child â or even a pet â strapped to the rear.
Three-row SUV â Best Design: Mazda CX-9
Mazda is certainly not a brand with countless financial resources, but on the other hand, the design of the most recent seasons seems to appeal to the general public. In fact, despite its introduction in 2017, Mazdaâs largest SUV has not aged a single wrinkle. The CX-9âs driving pleasure should not be forgotten either.
Two-row SUV â Best Quiet Ride: Buick Envision
The three-shield division has long been associated with the silence of its interior. The Buick Envision, assembled in China, is no exception to this rule thanks to the noise reduction system.
Parents magazine mentions the excellence of the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, but this mill is reserved for the more upscale versions. In the other trim levels, the driver has to deal with a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine and a six-speed transmission only.
Two-row SUV â Best steering system: Chevrolet Equinox
Itâs true that the Chevrolet Equinox comes with a reputation for being poorly assembled and less durable than average. But since its redesign for the 2018 model year, the compact SUV does much better in terms of driving experience, and even overall quality. Parents magazine found the Chevroletâs steering to be particularly precise, while its powertrain is powerful enough.
Two-row SUV â Better space for child seats: Ford Edge
When it comes to space for child seats, the Ford Edge is second to none, according to the publication. This allows for three seats, a rarity in the two-row SUV segment. The Ford Edge is also one of the most comfortable.
Two-Row SUV â Best Redesign : GMC Terrain
Best redesign award for two-row SUVs goes⊠drum roll â at GMC Terrain! Oddly enough, the redesign was completed for the 2018 model year at the same time as the Chevrolet Equinox, but hey, itâs the magazineâs choice! The article also mentions the more comfortable suspension on the Denali model.
Two-Row SUV â Best Green Choice: Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid
Two-Row SUV â Best choice for long trips: Subaru Forester
The Subaru manufacturer is often named on this list by Parents magazine. The Forester would be the ideal vehicle for expeditions, thanks to its standard all-wheel drive, roof rack and exemplary comfort. You could even add that the Foresterâs fuel consumption has been very good for the past few years, a fact made possible by the adoption of a continuously variable transmission.
Sedans â Best Value for a Hybrid: Honda Accord Hybrid
In the arguments listed by Parents magazine, the Honda Accord Hybrid sedan doesnât cost much more than the regular model, while trunk space is no longer handicapped by a battery stowed behind the rear seat. The Accord Hybrid is also not an unpleasant car to drive.
Sedans â Best in all weather conditions: Subaru Legacy
The manufacturer has made it its hobbyhorse: four-wheel drive guarantees superior traction in winter. The Nissan Altima has joined the Legacyâs direct rivals with an AWD system, but itâs not a permanent type like Subaruâs.
The redesign for 2020 has certainly helped in this case, the sedan can now be ordered with a more energetic 4-cylinder turbocharged flatbed engine.
Sedans â Best sports car: Nissan Maxima
This was its angle of attack when it was redesigned for the 1989 model year in North America. The Four Door Sports Car still stands out from its peers today because of its relatively dynamic driving dynamics. However, Toyotaâs effort is worth mentioning with its Avalon XSE, a large sedan that is surprisingly fun to drive. In the United States, thereâs also a TRD livery!
Sedans â Best Hybrid Sports Car: Toyota Camry Hybrid
Still, itâs surprising to see that the hybrid versions are now the sportiest in Toyotaâs lineup. Even the Camry is no exception to this rule. The manufacturer continues to offer a V6 engine for the more conservative among us, but we have to admit that the hybrid leaning of the mid-size sedan is at least worth a try.

honda pilot vs highlander
Create Your Honda Pilot Vs Highlander A Reality
Honda Pilot Vs Toyota Highlander Redesigned for 2020, the Highlander features an attractive cabin and a comfortable, silent holiday. Meanwhile, the Pilot also delivers a clean ride, a functional cabin, and tons of cargo. Honda Pilot Vs Highlander Both are mid sized three-row crossovers with area for seven, and also each includes a v 6 power train and aerodynamic driveway. Our examples came with price ranges just north of $50,000. Despite all these lots of similarities, Honda and Toyota approached style very differently. The Pilot comes with a rocky decorative which attempts to cover up its mini-van roots with mixed results, along with its spacious inner prioritizes practicality within vanity.
Honda Pilot Vs Toyota Highlander The Highlander, on the other hand, has compact body work and also a flashier cabin that goes it toward the posh end of the spectrum. This all-inclusive active security system comprises a Pre-Collision program with Pedestrian Detection, full speed Range. All About the Anticipated New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid
All About the Anticipated New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid - Gone are the teasing days from Kia, since they have now revealed the new 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid, which looks as promising as they come. Though not all technical details have been released yet, a majority of the exemplary design and performance features are already out.
New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid Redesign The impatience is overweighing, where all crossover fans simply canât wait to get behind its wheel. Here is whatâs available so far about this first-generation model with a powertrain:
Notable Features
Infotainment System Just like the Telluride, this crossover comes a 10.3ââ wide touchscreen that combines both information delivery and entertainment to increase the driversâ and passengersâ experience, and to supplement this is the standard 8ââ touchscreen compatible with iOS and Android devices. Safety Feature Safety has not been taken lightly by the All About the Anticipated 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid. First is the adaptive cruise control with stop and-go-function, surround-view monitor, collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot view monitor. As well as additional equipment and features, all meant to improve performance thereby increase safety as much as possible. This makes it the perfect family car to say the least.
New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid Interior Changes
New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid Redesign
Interior Unlike the outgoing version, the cabin of this vehicle is closer to the engine, thanks to an extra inch between the wheels, which creates a feeling of being spacious. Presumably, the 7seater version will have a shorter third row, best suited for younglings. And with the three rows in place, it should offer 11.3 cubic feet of cargo space. This is, of course, smaller than before but considering it allows for more legroom in the second row as well as more headroom in the car, it is accepted gracefully! Apart from the screens mentioned before, the dashboard has the previous versionâs controls. The terrain select knob, a rotary gear selector unlike the Tellurideâs tall handle. Then, has some accent lights placed next to speakers and door handles to add an element of coziness. Exterior Unlike the dowdier minivan shapes from previous years, the car has a sleek creased hood, and the lower bumper at the front has many right angles. It also has thin LED headlights and sharper nose. Bearing a lot of similarity with the New Seltos at the front while challenging the Toyota highlander for a big chin. On the sides, apart from a subtle difference of a fin-like tab near the rear window. It resembles the previous versions.
New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid Exterior and Engine Specs
Engine Specifications
As hinted, this 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid is the 1st generation model to have an electrified powertrain called a smart-stream. Not only does it come with a 1.6-liter (1,598 ccs), 4-cylinder in-line, turbo petrol engine. It also comes with a lithium-ion polymer battery pack and an electric motor which yield 1.49-kWh and 44.2-kW respectively.
New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid Price and Release Date
Europe residents can expect the car in the last trimester of 2020 while it may presumably take a few months to reach the U.S. So either towards the tail end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. Though price estimates are yet to be made, they are likely to range between $28,110 to $43,010 (destination fees included). 2021 Toyota Venza Price, Specs, Dimensions
2021 Toyota Venza Price, Specs, Dimensions - It's been five years since the last Toyota Venza roamed the streets. And many have been begging Toyota to bring back its popular to row crossover. So here to listen and here comes two brand-new 2021 Toyota Venza. And here's the first look at this brand-new crossover set to debut the summer of 2020. in case you aren't familiar, Toyota Venza is a two-row crossover that is slightly bigger than a Rav4. But somewhat smaller than a three-row highlander. There's ample room for five within, and Toyota is set to make this new SUV the most comfortable tech and fuel-efficient crossover in this class.
2021 Toyota Venza Exterior It's hard to describe the outside. It's a blend of several Toyota products. The front has a rounded shape compared to the Highlander, although the grille opening, on the lower bumper, and the slip moldings on the side is very similar. The headlights and daytime running light patterns are very distinctive. Now on the side, you could see the wide wheel fenders like the Highlander and the new Sienna. But you could definitely tell the new Venza is shorter in wheelbase and in overall length. The Venza le comes with 18 and two-tone alloy wheels while. The axle and limited will come with 19 inch super chrome finish wheels. The rear has a distinctive LED taillight design as well as a LED bar that stretches from one side to the other. Also, you see a pair of exhaust tips on the bottom. The new Venza is built on the TNG platform and has extensive use of high-strength steel. The front and rear multi-link suspension provides a comfortable and quiet ride. The TNG platform is also built to defend against noise intrusion, and it curbs vibrations. Toyota wants to make sure that a new Venza provides a very quiet ride. The tire noise is reduced via strategically placed insulation. And acoustic glass windshield helps minimize wind noise. There's also sound blocking absorbing insulation throughout the structure underneath the carpeting and above the headliner. There's also sound-absorbing insulation around the engine compartment, which helps reduce intake noise. And two special resonance chambers help minimize air intake noise in the five-thirty and six-fifty Hertz range. I don't know how special those frequencies are, but if Toyota says blocking them is good, then it's good in my book as well.
2021 Toyota Venza Interior On the inside, Toyota is offering an elegant interior filled with plenty of techs. For starters, the infotainment screen comes an 8-inch standard. But the XLI unlimited can get the giant twelve points three-inch touchscreen display as well as a JBL premium audio system that comes with nine speakers in a 1200 watt amp. Apple car plays android auto is standard. 2021 Toyota Venza is the very first Toyota that will offer a stargaze fix panoramic glass roof. Drivers can switch from transparent to frosted modes within a single second using the control button. And even in frosted mode, the stargaze brightens interior while reducing direct sunlight. I honestly can't wait to see this in action, and I hope future Toyota's are gonna be adopting this technology. Also, a 10-inch heads-up display Digital, rearview mirror, bird's-eye view camera system, rear camera cleaning system, hands-free power liftgate are just some of the features you can opt for with this brand new 2021 Toyota Venza. There are also available heated seats and ventilated seats that are drawing cool air from the AC system. This technology first appeared as sflow on Lexus, and now it's available in the Venza. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, which includes a pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert on a high beam, lane tracing assist, road sign assist is now standard. Additionally, blind-spot monitoring plus cross-traffic alert is also standard. While the XLE and Limited trims add-on from rear parking assist with auto braking. Just like the Sienna, the 2021 Venza is hybrid only. And utilizes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine along with 3 separate motors. The system delivers a total of 219 horsepower and is down from the 243 from the new Sienna and also the Highlander Hybrid. A new Venza in the LE trims will get 40 miles per gallon combined with fuel economy. If this is true, it will beat the Highlander Hybrid by 5 miles per gallon. There will also be selectable driving modes normal, eco, and sport. And the Venza has another trick up its sleeve in terms of increasing fuel economy. Venza PD predictive efficient drive will utilize the navigation system to analyze driving habits. And memorize road and traffic conditions to help optimize hybrid battery charging. When the driver selects PD, the system will learn from repeater routes. And it's designed to make the vehicle predict to slow down or stop. PD can also help optimize battery charging and discharging of hills or traffic congestion, this is very cool technology. The Venza also comes standard with all-wheel-drive. This electronic on-demand all-wheel drive employs a separate rear-mounted electric motor to power two rear wheels when needed. Torque distribution varies according to conditions. Next, let me show you a live stream from Toyota describing the brand new Venza in detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6OBmlKYrDM Read the full article

Rear Seat Reminder Might Save Your Children and Pets: What Is It?
A parked car gets real hot, real fast. Interior air temperatures rise nearly 20 degrees in the first 10 minutes alone, according to findings by the Department of Geosciences at San Francisco State University.
That heat can be deadly and even great parents make simple mistakes. Statistics published by child safety advocates KidsAndCars.org report 53 children between the ages of two months and 13 years died as a result of vehicular heatstroke in the U.S. in 2019. With the rear seat reminder feature youâve started to see on an increasing number of cars, automakers are taking a step to prevent such deaths.
What Is Rear Seat Reminder? How Does It Work?
Unlike the torque rating of a supercar or the kW-hr capacity of an EV, rear seat reminder systems are pretty self-explanatory. Although the same tech is labeled differently depending on the manufacturer, each system provides a message to the driver to check the rear seat if it determines that passengers may be present.
The primary method through which vehicles determine rear occupancy has to do with their doors. If a rear door is opened and closed before or after the carâs engine has been started, the vehicleâs computer knows to issue a rear seat reminder when the engine is turned off.
A system shared by Hyundai and Kia includes motion detection as a secondary means to determine whether passengers are in the rear seats. If, after issuing a reminder when the engine is powered off, the rear door is not opened and the car is locked, ultrasonic motion sensors begin scanning for movement.
When motion is detected, the vehicle will activate its horn for 25 seconds and will repeat that process up to eight times if motion continues. The vehicle will also send text and email messages to the owner(s) if they subscribe to Kiaâs Uvo or Hyundaiâs Blue Link telematic services.
Which Cars Have Rear Seat Reminders?
General Motorsâcomposed of Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMCâbegan fitting vehicles with its Rear Seat Reminder system for the 2017 model year. Starting with the 2018 model year, most vehicles across GMâs brands have included door-logic rear seat alert systems as standard.
Hyundai and Kia, the only automakers to utilize both motion detection and door logic, havenât made the tech on as many vehicles, yet. Their system is branded Rear Occupant Alert.
In the Hyundai lineup, the Palisade, Santa Fe, and Sonata all feature a door logic system. Only the Santa Fe and Palisade offer motion detection, and itâs an optional extra. As for Kia, the new Telluride features motion detection and door logic as standard on all trims. The only other Kia to include the tech is the Seltos, which features standard door logic but no motion detection. It should be noted that Hyundai has pledged that Rear Occupant Alert will be standard on all its vehicles by 2022.
Nissan includes its Rear Door Alert as standard on nearly every model in its range, with the exception of the soon-to-be-replaced GT-R, two-seat 370Z, and Frontier pickup. Itâs also featured on the Infiniti QX60 and QX80.
Toyota has only just started adding the feature to its cars and uses the same Rear Seat Reminder moniker as General Motors. Itâs standard on the new Highlander. Subaru also uses the name Rear Seat Reminder, which it offers on 2020 versions of its Ascent, Forester, Crosstrek, and Impreza.
If youâre worried that the new car you have your eyes on doesnât feature a rear seat reminder system, you wonât be worrying too long. Two groups, the Association of Global Automakers and the Alliance of Automobile manufacturers, encapsulate nearly every automaker that sells cars in the States. Both groups and the automakers therein have agreed that alert systems like these will be standard on every model by 2025.
Different Names For Rear Seat Reminder Systems

The 2020 Toyota 4Runner Offers Old-School Cool With New-Age Tech
Modern cars are all curves and swoops and bends and slopes. The 2020 Toyota 4Runner offers none of these. What one shopper might describe as âold-school,â a 4Runner buyer would certainly call âclassic.â The 4Runner doesnât feel outdated, it feels familiar. âRevolting?â Try âRefreshing.â
The SUV frenzy gave way to the crossover craze years ago. The 4Runnerâs history stretches back to the 1980s, but itâs the Toyota Highlander (and its softer, friendlier design) that keeps Toyota in the black. With the 2020 4Runner, Toyota attempts to bridge the gap between the former carâs capable, rugged legacy and the luxurious, safe, and comfortable appeal of the modern Highlander.
Dependably Tough, Surprisingly Nimble
The 2020 Toyota 4Runner comes in a variety of trims, but no matter how you spec it, youâll likely expect a certain level of performance. All trims come equipped with a 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. Step on the throttle to hear its Tim Taylor grunt. Poor fuel economy comes standard, too. Over roughly 400 miles, I managed a meager 17.7 miles per gallon. Whatâs even more unbelievable, that number sits 0.7 mpg higher than the EPA estimate. The antiquated engine keeps the 4Runner feeling like a truck. When reviewing a 2019 example, George Kennedy actually described the V6 as, âmore similar to a V8 with two cylinders lopped off than it is to a modern V6 designed for efficiency and smooth operation.â As a result, the 4Runner delivers only 5,000 pounds of maximum towing capacity, despite its rough-and-tumble feel.
Shown: 2019 Toyota 4Runner Engine
Driving on city streets, the 4Runner feels surprisingly at home. The broken pavement of Bostonâs inner suburbs was no match for this SUV. It plowed through and punished any potholes brave enough to appear in my way. Equally surprising, the 4Runner ended up being significantly nimbler than it initially felt. At 18 feet, 7 inches, this overgrown mountain goat sports a tighter turning radius than both its main competitor, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and its more family-friendly in-house stablemate, the Highlander.
That doesnât mean the 4Runner is small. The steering is a blast from the past, managing to feel both heavy and vague at the same time. The full-time 4-wheel-drive (4WD) system in the Limited trim burns fuel like crazy. And I generally used the moonroof only to see how close the 4Runnerâs roof was to scraping the garage doors.
Tech and Safety Finally Step into the Present
The 4Runnerâs Limited trim swaps in a lot of chrome detailing, most notably the crossbar across the grille. It also adds power-retractable side steps. These started as a cool novelty but quickly wore on me as they appeared and retracted each time I opened a door. Predictably, the 4Runner offered an upright, commanding seating position for the driver and passengers in the front and second row. The third rowâs jump seats offer a different story. Even though they showcase some very nifty space optimization, sliding out from underneath the third-row seatbacks, these two extra seats are definitely good for only short trips. If I ordered an Uber XL and got stuck in the third row of a 4Runner, I would not be a happy camper.
On the tech front, Toyota has drastically improved the 4Runner. What was classified a year ago as âbasic but straightforwardâ has advanced to âwell-equipped and nicely designed.â Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have both been integrated,. The touchscreen display has been bumped up to 8 inches. Entune, Toyotaâs proprietary infotainment system, is easy enough to use. Still, I was particularly grateful to have Android Auto at my fingertips when navigating home. While Google Maps suggested an hour-long route, Entune navigation would have had me driving closer to two hours.
Previously, the 4Runner was a poster-car for the hallmarks of passive safety: seatbelts, airbags, and being bigger than other cars on the road. In 2020, that style doesnât play well, and Toyota has made efforts to keep the vehicle up to date. Notably, youâll find 2020 models equipped with adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warning, both of which are part of the Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) suite of advanced safety features. This helps bridge the growing gap between the modern Highlander and the relatively archaic 4Runner. As usual, adaptive cruise proved to be a blessing, but the truck-like 4Runner could have benefited from lane-keeping assist more than it did from lane-departure warning; with a vehicle this big and steering this vague, I ended up turning off the system pretty quickly.
A Little Bit of Everything
The days of a $30,000 SUV are well behind us. The 4Runner starts at $36,020 and rises past my Limited test carâs nearly $50,000 price tag. In order to justify that price, Toyota had to bring its go-anywhere rig into the future. That means upscale appointments and advanced safety features. Today, this is a car for the person who needs a little bit of everything. Itâs for those who want a truck that can go anywhere but also one that can suit their familyâs needs. Some shoppers will undoubtedly see the 2020 4Runner as a compromise, failing to excel in any one area. Others will see it as an appropriate balance between old and new. Regardless, itâs clear that the 4Runnerâs 36-year-old name wonât be going anywhere anytime soon.
